0:00Over the weekend, the Houthis launched0:02one of their deadliest attacks ever on0:04Saudi Arabia's main airport, killing at0:06least 12 people and injuring more than0:08300. Trump called the attacks terrible,0:11warning that the US could join Saudi0:13Arabia in retaliating against the0:15Houthis. Meanwhile, Trump announced a0:17deal to bring over 13 million barrels of0:20Russian oil and diesel to the US0:23alongside a new energy ceasefire between0:25Ukraine and Russia. and get ready for a0:27stacked month as we are officially now0:29entering into earnings season. Today we0:32cover what to watch out for in the0:33markets, some big developments, and0:35where the action is right now.0:41On Saturday, the Houthis attacked Saudi0:44Arabia's main international airport in0:46Riad, killing 12, including one0:48American, and injuring over 300. The0:51attack was the deadliest in any Gulf0:53Arab country since the start of the Iran0:56war. The airport was evacuated and0:58closed with Saudi Arabia vowing a firm1:01response. President Trump called the1:03attack unacceptable and said he plans to1:06speak with Saudi Arabia's crown prince.1:08Trump also said the US could join the1:10Saudis in retaliation against the1:12Houthis, saying, quote, "We just found1:14out about the recent attack, so we'll1:16make a decision. We move very quickly."1:19After the attack, the Houthis warned1:21airlines and travelers to avoid Saudi1:23airports. Another Houthi projectile1:26reportedly struck the airport on Sunday,1:28too, while Saudi defenses also1:30intercepted a separate missile nearby.1:32So, it doesn't look like the Houthis are1:34stopping their attacks anytime soon,1:36either. Over in Iran, though, Sentcom1:38says a US fighter jet struck a cargo1:41ship in the Gulf of Oman on Saturday1:43after it left an Iranian port and1:45ignored repeated US warnings. The strike1:48disabled the ship's engines without1:50injuring anyone on board, though. With1:52the blockade and ongoing attacks making1:55oil shipments increasingly risky, VLCC1:58freight rates have spiked to $760,0002:01per day from under $50,000 per day a2:04year ago. These are the costs of hiring2:07massive oil tankers, meaning shipping2:09crude has become drastically more2:11expensive, adding pressure to global oil2:14prices. If you want to trade the price2:16of oil tanker shipping, look at ticker2:18symbol BWE,2:20which is an ETF that tracks maritime2:22shipping costs. This ETF is up 5,360%2:28since the start of 2026. There could be2:30some easing on US diesel and oil prices2:34soon though, as over the weekend, Trump2:36announced a deal with Russia to bring2:38roughly 13.5 million barrels of oil and2:41diesel to the US starting this month.2:44Russia is immediately supplying 2.252:48million barrels of diesel as US diesel2:50prices recently hit $6282:53a gallon. To allow the shipments, the US2:56Treasury also issued a waiver on2:58previously sanctioned Russian fuel.3:01Following this news, Ukraine's President3:03Zalinsky criticized the deal, saying3:06gifts to Putin will not bring peace or3:08any benefit to the civilized world. And3:11this morning, Trump announced that3:12Russia and Ukraine have agreed to an3:14immediate ceasefire on attacks against3:16energy facilities. However, according to3:19Axios, Zalinsky said he didn't know3:21about that agreement, saying, quote, "If3:24President Trump negotiated it with3:25Putin, please tell us when the ceasefire3:28begins." Outside of technology and3:30energy, though, corporate earnings3:32estimates have barely increased this3:34year. This shows that much of the3:36expected earnings growth is concentrated3:38in just two sectors rather than being3:40spread across the broader stock market.3:43And one of the primary factors behind3:45this could be the AI boom. As the AI3:48boom becomes increasingly funded by3:50debt, investors are growing even more3:52concerned with the possible risks.3:54Oracle's credit default swaps, which3:56measure the cost of insuring against a3:58company failing to repay its debt, are4:00near record highs, implying a 20.4% 4%4:03chance of a default. That is incredibly4:06high when you compare it to SpaceX's4:0816.5% or even Nvidia's lower number at4:127%. And speaking of Oracle, it's now 59%4:16off of highs posted in September of 20254:18as AI investors are dumping software4:21stocks because of increased AI4:23competition. And Apple is facing4:26concerns over weaker iPhone 18 demand4:28after it was reported the company asked4:30suppliers to cut October component4:32orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max4:36by at least 15%.4:38Higher memory chip costs driven by the4:40AI boom have pushed up iPhone prices.4:44While the absence of a cheaper base4:46model iPhone 18 may also be hurting4:48demand. Apple shares fell more than 2.8%4:52on Friday following this news. It did4:54recover as the day went on and there is4:57speculation that users are waiting for4:59the new iPhone uh new iPhone Duo and5:02pre-orders for the new foldable iPhone5:04Duo start this Friday, October 16th at5:078:00 a.m. Eastern time. If you're5:09waiting for the Duo over buying the 185:11lineup, let us know in the comments5:13section down below. And while you're5:15there, consider destroying that5:16subscribe button as well. For every5:18single trading day, we post brand new5:20videos just like this one, covering all5:23the most important news, upcoming5:25events, information, past stats, charts5:28to know about, stocks to keep on the5:30radar, and so much more. It takes a long5:32time to make these videos for every5:34trading day, and if you subscribe,5:36you'll get them recommended to you more5:38often. Looking at the S&P 500 right now,5:41it is 0.39% off of the all-time high.5:44Tom, what are you seeing on the charts?5:47Looking at SPY, Friday's move was5:49extremely strong and it confirmed the5:51bullish breakout out of the downtrend5:54that actually started last week. On5:56Tuesday, Wednesday, and even into5:57Thursday of last week, the SPY was in a5:59massive downtrend and a very consistent6:02channel. But around the end of the week,6:04we started to see a very clear breakout6:06into Friday and ended up playing out6:08very well as on Friday, the SPY actually6:10ran up to test the old all-time high,6:13which was 77937.6:16So watch this 77937 to 780 resistance6:19zone clearly into Monday morning. If we6:23can see a clear break of this zone, I6:25think the spy could go up to test the6:27all-time high of 781626:29very quickly. We're really not that far6:32off. And if we have another good move6:33like we had Friday, we'll be there in no6:36time. So keep that all-time high on the6:38radar. If that breaks, watch for 7856:41just past that. Now, even though it was6:43a good bullish sign to see the spy6:45breaking out, you never know what type6:47of news could release between now and6:49Monday morning or just even how the6:51market might open up. If we do see the6:53spy fall under 778, which is the first6:55intraday support, watch out for 777,6:59775, and 774 as a few main supports to7:03watch for on the way down if SPY does7:05happen to fall.7:07>> Very nice. And while every year is7:09unique, the S&P 500's performance so far7:12in 2026 has most closely resembled that7:16of 19897:18and 1978.7:20In 1989, stocks finished the year7:22relatively flat, while in 1978, the7:25market suffered a sharp decline,7:27suggesting a potential risk of a7:29year-end sell-off this year. But of7:32course, every year is unique. But in7:34both of these years, the market did drop7:36around the 200th day, which we are7:38nearing. So keep this in mind as well.7:41And we're also only a few more weeks7:43away from the midterm elections. Since7:461951, under a Republican president with7:49a fully Democratic Congress, we've seen7:51the lowest returns out of any other7:54potential combination. At the moment,7:57prediction markets are pricing in a 64%7:59chance that Democrats take the Senate8:01and a 91% chance they take the House. I8:04guess time will tell if the prediction8:06markets are correct in this case or not.8:09But looking at the economic lineup this8:11week, it is jam-packed. And on Tuesday8:14at 10 a.m. Eastern, we will see existing8:16home sales release. But the big day is8:19going to be Wednesday. As we can see, 18:21hour before open at 8:30 a.m. Eastern8:23time, critical CPI inflation data will8:26release. Obviously, the market and the8:29Federal Reserve is watching inflation8:31data very closely right now. If8:33inflation data comes in hot, it could be8:35more negative for the economy. If we do8:37see inflation cooling off, that could be8:39a good sign and possibly push the Feds8:42more towards pausing at the end of8:44October FOMC meeting. But besides that,8:46we also have PPI data, retail sales, and8:49a Fed War speech on Thursday, which8:51we'll talk about more as the week8:53progresses. And we are now officially8:56entering earning season. Over the next8:58month, some of the biggest companies in9:00the world will report their Q3 earnings.9:02And looking at the lineup for this week,9:04a lot of big banks will report on9:07Tuesday. They really kick things off9:08with JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Wells9:10Fargo, and City reporting. On Wednesday,9:13ASML, which is huge for chip stocks,9:15reports in pre-market along with Bank of9:17America, Morgan Stanley, and Taiwan9:20Semiconductors reports pre-market on9:22Thursday. So, it's quite the rundown,9:24Mike.9:25>> Yeah, it's an exciting time to be a9:27trader. We have a nice earnings lineup9:29uh starting on Tuesday with the big9:31bank. So, there should be some good9:32volatility in that sense. And then, like9:34you talked about, Tom, the inflation9:36data will release 1 hour before open on9:39Wednesday. We have an exciting week9:40ahead, let alone all of the geopolitical9:44and AI craziness that is still going on.9:46So, let's jump right to the good stuff,9:48which are some setups and predictions. A9:51stock close on watch is AMD to the9:54downside. This is Advanced Micro9:57Devices. It's an American semiconductor9:59company. We mentioned this one in a10:01bearish sense recently, and it was nice10:03to see that continued drop on Friday. Uh10:06this company has absolutely crushed it10:08this year. They've really benefited from10:10the AI boom. Uh but we are seeing a10:13little bit of a shift in momentum right10:15now. When I look at AMD, I think that it10:19it has an extremely aggressive valuation10:22as depending on which um analyst10:24estimates you're looking at, they're10:26trading at a forward PE of 40 and in10:29some cases it's actually much higher.10:31Um, I do like to see the sharp rejection10:33off that 660 area and I do like to see10:36the momentum turning to the downside in10:38a shorter term sense. If AMD does10:41continue to uh put pressure on recent10:43lows, I wouldn't be surprised if it10:45continued to fall a lot more and if this10:48momentum continued to build on itself.10:50But even in a broader term sense, I do10:52like the riskreward playing AMD to the10:55downside. uh more in like a multi-week,10:58multimon sense where if we do see more11:01profit taking with AI stocks, I wouldn't11:04be surprised if the potential reward11:07could potentially significantly outweigh11:09the potential risk uh with this stock.11:12But as we all know, it's impossible to11:14call the top. So if AMD does continue uh11:18moving higher, make sure to have a11:20stop-loss so you know you don't get11:22caught with uh having you know no11:24riskmanagement strategy. Yeah, AMD has11:28outperformed a lot of stocks this year11:30and even a lot of chip stocks in the11:32short term as it's popped up and made11:33new recent all-time highs. I know a few11:36others have as well, but AMD has been11:38extremely strong and there are some11:40great technicals in play like its11:42overall uptrend starting to break down11:44and even confirm. So, I'll be watching11:46it closely, Mike. But with my first11:48setup, I'm looking at Baba to the11:50upside. Looking at Alibaba in the short11:53term, I love the double bottom that it's11:55starting to post around the 105 support.11:58It's starting to form a good bullish11:59structure right here. And there is a12:01good recent high up around 120 as well.12:04I think that that could be a great12:05target if we start to see a good12:07breakout above the recent high. Now,12:10that is a good recent high over the past12:11few weeks. But if we go even to the high12:14from last Tuesday, we saw it touch12:1611150. And this is going to be the first12:18level to watch for a breakout on the way12:20up with BABA. Now, BABA has been down a12:23lot in the short term, but if we do12:24break this, I do think that a push12:26towards that 120 high is doable. And12:29even zooming out on a daily chart, like12:31I said, BABA's been falling down quite a12:33bit. you know, going back to highs of12:352025 to where BABA's trading now, it's12:37down roughly 42%. So, that is a major12:40pullback, and I'll be watching for a12:42slight recovery. It does seem like12:44Baba's trying to form higher lows off of12:47the past uh few months within 2026. You12:50can see that there was a low formed back12:51in June and the beginning of July, and12:54now we're starting to see this bullish12:55structure try to form here at that 10512:58support.12:58>> Yeah. And it had some really good12:59momentum on Friday, too. Another ETF13:02that's close on watch is CR AK and it's13:05to the upside. This ETF tracks oil13:08refining companies. So basically the13:10companies that really specialize in13:12turning crude into refined products like13:15diesel, gasoline, jet fuel and other13:17things like that. These companies have13:19been really benefiting this year due to13:23the geopolitical conflicts currently13:26happening. There's also XLE which tracks13:29the energy sector more broadly and13:32they've both been doing pretty well.13:34They're both on the upside radar. Um,13:36and I do think that this recent news13:39with the US buying fuel from Russia13:44might open up a little bit of a pullback13:46opportunity with these ETFs. But there13:49still is a real energy supply disruption13:54and it appears that the economy is just13:56starting to like uh slowly but surely13:59feel the effects of that. And while the14:02purchases of fuel from Russia might help14:06that in the short term, I do think that14:09there is a deeper problem at hand and I14:11do expect these energy companies to14:14continue to benefit in a broad sense. So14:17XLE and CRK is still on the upside14:20radar. Yeah. And XLE is approaching a14:23big short-term resistance and it might14:25have some trouble getting through this14:2666 to $66.2014:29zone. But if we see something crazy14:31happened like let's say Trump start to14:32strike the Houthies or that conflict14:34pick up, I would not be surprised if XLE14:37kept popping up as well. And another14:40stock that is really popping up and14:42continuing to run is MOA, ticker symbol14:44MRNA. back on August 19th, August 18th,14:48we saw some news released that MOA had14:51positive news regarding one of their14:53cancer vaccines. And ever since that14:55that news released, MOA has been14:57explosive. And on Friday, it really14:59broke out above its recent high, pushing15:01up 14% alone. And on the day that it ran15:05on the cancer vaccine news, it closed up15:08176%.15:09Moves like that are pretty unheard of15:11from stocks as large as Mona. sounds15:14like a penny stock type of move. But15:16also, if we actually look at MOA right15:18now, something that's pretty impressive15:20that I think will blow a lot of traders15:23minds is that MOA is now the has the15:26highest return within the S&P 500 within15:292026 being up 662%15:32beating out SanDisk, Dell, Micron,15:35Marvel, HP, and plenty more. So, I think15:38that that says a lot. MOA is getting a15:41huge bid here and continue watching it15:43in the short term. It's such a fun stock15:45and whenever you can catch good moves on15:47it, it can make for some insane options15:50opportunities. So, keep it on the radar.15:52It's a big mover and it's it's highly15:54volatile right now. Keep a close eye on15:56biotechnology. It has been extremely hot15:59this year. ETFs like XBI and IBB are two16:03uh ways to track it. And yeah, Moerna is16:06a great example of uh some strong moving16:08biotech stocks, but there are a few of16:10them out there. But let's also jump16:12right into today's momentum plays with16:15the first one. We have HIMS, ticker16:17symbol HIMs, to the upside. Yeah, if16:20HIMS and Hers pops up tomorrow above16:22$31.50,16:24look for the upside continuation play.16:26That's a pretty big short-term16:28resistance. And looking at the daily16:29chart, it just bounced off of a huge16:31trend line as well. With the next one,16:34we have Palunteer, ticker symbol PLTR,16:36also to the upside. Palunteer had a ton16:39of hype on Friday. If it breaks out16:41above 20930, keep watching it up into16:43this week.16:44>> And then with the last one, we have16:46Starbucks, ticker symbol SBUX, to the16:49downside. Starbucks had a lot of16:51negative hype at the end of last week.16:53If it breaks down under $90.50, keep16:56watching Starbucks to the downside.16:58>> So, these three stocks are on the radar17:00for potential continuations tomorrow. if17:02and only if they break through the17:04levels listed. These stocks are17:06volatile, so always protect yourself,17:08use stop- losses. Only ever enter trades17:11that you know why you're entering and17:13focus on making smart, disciplined17:15trading decisions above all else. Let's17:18also jump right into today's $1.3417:20million big money trade. And yes, it's17:23another biotech company. Today, we are17:25looking at ticker symbol B IIB. The17:28trader here traded the 220 strike call17:31options that expire on March 19th of17:332027. Biogen is a leading biotechnology17:37company that develops and delivers17:40therapies for serious neurological and17:42neurodeenerative diseases including17:44Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, and17:47ALS. Uh the stock has been doing pretty17:50well this year. It's, you know,17:51certainly not as uh explosive as Moerna,17:54but it's off to a good start this year.17:57And also these options are slightly in17:59the money and they have a fair amount of18:01time to them. So the trader here is18:03essentially positioning themselves to18:05potentially profit from the stock18:07continuing this uptrend. I think it's18:10great to see that the industry in18:13general has been doing very well this18:16year. not only in a stock sense but it18:19also certainly appears that way in terms18:21of a real like uh a real sense in terms18:25of the breakthroughs that are being made18:26and I think u biotechnology and18:30healthcare may have a lot to gain from18:32AI especially in a real world sense uh18:36looking at these options I like how they18:38have time I like how they're slightly in18:39the money and I like how the uh you know18:42how the trend has been not only just18:44with this stock but also with the18:46industry in general, you know, I guess18:48you can say it is like a little bit of a18:51risk where maybe because the stock is up18:54a bit already and that there is some18:56resistance overhead that you know might18:59make the riskreward a little bit less19:01favorable than maybe it can potentially19:04be. But interesting setup. Yeah. And19:08looking at the overall uptrend, it has19:09been very strong, very consistent over19:12the past year to year and a half or so.19:14And as I look at Biogen itself, it's a19:17stock that can have some insane runs.19:19You know, Biogen has gapped up a lot as19:22we've seen Alzheimer News release and19:23then negative news comes out and, you19:26know, the stock ends up falling within a19:28few years down 65% before this recent19:31uptrend. But let's say that Biogen does19:33just continue this nice slow chop19:35higher. you know, by the time we end up19:37getting towards March 19th. I wouldn't19:40be surprised if this stock went for a19:42test, if not even a breakout of 238 to19:45240, that's one of the biggest19:46short-term resistances here. And if we19:49do break that, I think it could easily19:50start to trade up towards 260. So, this19:53is a big mover. It can move quite a bit.19:55And I do like how this is in the money19:57with these calls. It gives me a lot more19:59confidence with the trade. And it also20:01just gives me confidence because20:02biotechnology stocks, they don't really20:04care what the market does. Sure, Biogen20:07does have a strong correlation to SPY,20:09but these stocks will move a lot off of20:11their own news and things. And maybe the20:13big money trader here knows that there's20:15something big coming for Biogen. You20:17know, we've seen a lot of big updates20:19and big news coming within that sector20:20this year. And if something good does20:23come out, it could gap up pretty big as20:25we've seen in the past multiple times.20:27Let's keep it close on the radar. But20:29let's also give a giant shout out to20:31today's member of the day, Nigel 21, who20:34made a little bit over $700 on Friday.20:37And it looks like MOA was one of those20:40trades as well. Another biotech stock.20:42So, huge shout out to you, Nigel. Keep20:44up the great work going forward. And20:46nice job taking advantage of that insane20:48price action and momentum on Friday. He20:51also thanked Mason. So, shout out to20:53Mason as well. Thank you guys so much20:56for watching today's video. If you're20:57new, consider destroying that subscribe21:00button.
