Unlearned Wisdom by Johnny Chang
0:00Welcome back to another Mainstage. This0:02is where I talk directly with my0:03community. I tell personal stories, deep0:06biblical learnings, and I answer0:07questions directly from the chat. These0:09episodes are audio only. So, thank you0:11guys for listening and tuning in. And0:13you can join my discord to catch the0:15next main stage live. Okay, let's get0:18started. This is the scripture that says0:20it's better for someone to drown than0:22cause someone to stumble. He's talking0:25about, you know, responsibility.0:28It's talking about responsibility.0:31So if you cause someone to stumble, if0:33you trip someone spiritually, if you0:35lead them away from faith purposely,0:39like a spiritual sabotage, yeah, it's0:42very dangerous. So for example, right,0:45the little ones that he's speaking0:46about, the little ones, if you notice,0:49um, just Mark 18:16, I'm not reading it0:52directly. So he says, "Whosoever shall0:55offend, right? Uh one of these little0:57ones that believe in me that that1:00believe in me or which believe in me."1:03This is important. So it's not just1:05children, it's ones who believe in me.1:08So not all kids believe in Jesus. Then1:10what does it mean? New believers, people1:12with, you know, new faith, uh vulnerable1:16believers, fragile believers, anyone1:18who's easily influenced. If you cause1:21them to stumble, meaning you lead them1:23away from faith, right? That's not going1:25to be good, right? I'll give you an1:28example. There was a sister who was in1:30our church for about 10 years, and she,1:35you know, lived in the church for 101:37years, but never really submitted to1:38God. She was more of like, you know, I1:40just hate church, but I'm here because I1:43don't really want to, how do I say, find1:47a job. And so church was like supporting1:48her for a very long time. And this1:51sister was very complainful. You know,1:53she would say that this church was like1:55a cult and you know, they would make her1:57do things, but it's like you don't pay1:59rent. So, of course, we're probably2:01going to make you like clean up just to2:03help out, right? I mean, and you should2:04want to do that. Mind you, she didn't2:06she paid she didn't live she didn't pay2:08rent for like 10 years, right? And2:10church was that loving to like let them2:12stay there just for that. And they don't2:13do this anymore, but when they did, they2:15did, you know, they used to. And so, um,2:19every time a person would come, she2:20would kind of click up with a new2:22person. Oh, you know, be careful. This2:24pastor, you know, he's racist. You know,2:26he doesn't like black people. He doesn't2:28like, you know, Mexican people. And it's2:30like spreading these types of things,2:32right? And in this way, you are leading2:35people away from faith. So she2:37ironically in the 10 years led more2:40people away from the church because2:41everyone she ever clicked up with would2:43always leave and we would notice a2:44pattern like why is it that when2:46everyone would come to this sister2:47eventually they would leave and it was2:50like she would just stay there and2:51everyone else would leave right and so2:53it was very very horrible because she2:55was causing a lot of spiritual harm. She2:57brought more people away from church2:59than he than she did bring people into3:01the church. She didn't save one person3:03in those 10 years. And so um these3:06scriptures say that spiritual harm is3:07worse than physical harm essentially,3:10right? Little ones is not just kids.3:12It's little ones who believe, right? Who3:15believe. So yeah, that's kind of what it3:19comes down to at the end of the day.3:20It's the severity of it. People use this3:23and say, "Oh, this is for people who,3:25you know, essay kids and, you know, and3:27and chomos and it's like, of course, all3:30of that." But more importantly than3:31anything, if a baby Christian comes in3:34and you spread darkness and you lead3:36them away, that's a very dangerous3:39thing, right? He's protecting vulnerable3:41people and you're um taking the3:43vulnerable pe vulnerable people and3:45you're like, "Yeah, I'm going to take3:46you away from God." You know, it's like,3:48"No, you know, that's not the right3:50thing to do." So that's what it actually3:52means. Do you have any other talents,3:54pastor? Yeah, failing. Failing and3:57getting back up.3:59That's my other talent is failing and4:01just getting up and going, "Ow, the4:03hut." That's all I do. Ow, the hut.4:07Well, it hurt so bad. And then just keep4:10[laughter] moving forward,4:12bro. Was built like a tank. Ow, the hut.4:15But it's okay. I got to just love me.4:18And just keep moving. [laughter]4:20That's me. Was there someone in the4:22Bible who struggled with something4:24similar like memory issues? I've almost4:26I've almost completely even I forgot4:29even my childhood and almost all of my4:32past. Um h that's a good question. Was4:36there someone in the Bible4:39that forgot about things? Huh?4:44I mean technically a lot I think all of4:47them did. King David for sure. Uh Job4:50for sure, Jeremiah for sure,4:53anyone who Isaiah for sure. Uh anybody4:57who you know kind of goes through5:00struggle tends to forget God. Uh Elijah5:03for sure. The the day that he sent down5:05people the next day after that, you5:07know, he sent he sent down God sent down5:09fire for him and like showed him the5:11next day he was running away from um you5:14know, from Jezebel, right? So people5:16forget and I don't think it's an issue.5:19I think just coming back to God is more5:21important than anything. So yeah, how do5:24you stay grounded when something5:25challenges your faith? Um going to God,5:29right? Recognizing that God is going to5:32be the one who's in the midst of5:33everything. He just is. I mean, he's5:36he's there all the time. He's everywhere5:37all the time. You know, faith usually5:40doesn't fall apart because you don't5:42have any power over it. It's it usually5:45happens when you place uh faith in5:48something that's not Jesus Christ or5:50instead of Jesus Christ. So if your if5:53your faith also depends on everything to5:56make sense, let's say, then it won't5:58survive because in this world nothing6:00really makes sense. So God never asks6:04you to understand him. He asks you to6:06trust him, right? And so that's what6:08happens, right? So So think about it.6:10When you're in a boat, like a fisherman6:13doesn't get up like messed up by the6:17ocean, right? The boat understands and6:20the fisherman understands and the person6:22in the boat understands, the captain6:25that there's always going to be a storm.6:26So, the problem isn't the the waves,6:30right? The storms and the waves are when6:32you get into the ocean, you you should6:33expect waves. You should expect, you6:35know, unexpected storms. But the problem6:38is when you enter with this boat, do you6:42have the right boat? Do you have the6:44right anchor? So even if you don't have6:46the right anchor and you go out there6:48with just an inflatable boat, you'll6:50probably get toppled. And even though6:52you go in the boat and it's huge like a6:55yacht, but you don't have an anchor,6:57you'll just keep drifting, right? And so7:00it it's it's what you're actually7:03anchored into. That's what you believe.7:06So God never says believe when things7:08make sense. In fact, he says follow me7:10even when it doesn't. Think about even7:13the gospel. It doesn't make sense. A man7:16who we've never met will die for all of7:18our sins and he has to be nailed7:20violently and and you know bloodily to7:24the cross. Like7:26why can't God just snap his fingers and7:28get rid of all of our sins? So nothing7:31makes sense if you really think about7:32it. Ideally speaking, theologically7:36speaking, even hypothetically speaking,7:38that doesn't make sense. So, someone7:40dies and somehow pays the debt for7:43somebody else when they didn't ask them7:46to. Okay? Like, it's very difficult, but7:48that's why God says, "Lean not on your7:50own understanding. Believe in me." So,7:53that's how you do it, right? That's just7:55what it comes down to at the end of the7:58day. What's the difference between7:59resting and being lazy? Good question.8:03So rest always refules you to go back to8:06being with God pointing you towards God.8:10Laziness just avoids God and avoids8:13responsibility.8:14Right? So laziness will always come from8:17avoidance. I would say rest uh comes8:21from trusting in God, believing that he8:23will take care of those things. Laziness8:26is I'll just hide behind this because I8:29don't want to deal with it. I'll avoid8:30it. So, a lot of people their issue is8:33is when they rest, um, they feel guilty.8:36But if rest makes you feel guilty, it's8:39probably because you're relying on8:40performance. You're relying on that for8:43your worth. Like, if I rest and I'm not8:45performing and if I'm not performing,8:46then I'm ugly and I'm stupid and I suck8:48and it's like, right? So, think about8:50your phone, right? If um the phone8:55[clears throat] has its own battery, but8:57after a while it will start to run out.8:58So, what are you supposed to do? throw9:00it away. No, you're supposed to plug it9:02in. When you plug in the phone, although9:05it stops temporarily from doing all its9:07tasks, the whole point of it to stop is9:09to rest and recharge. It's preparing to9:12do more, but if you refuse to charge it,9:15then it'll die eventually. So rest is9:18always to step up to the purpose, not9:20step away from the purpose. You can step9:23away for a little bit, sure, but you got9:25to return, right? So laziness kind of I9:29guess disconnects you. Rest reconnects9:32you, right? So that's what it comes down9:34to. That's the difference here. You're9:37supposed to take a Sabbath, but it's9:39just kind of what it comes down to.9:41Okay. This year is a year of 18th9:45birthdays. I have a problem because9:46worldly music is played there and it's9:49very easy for me to fall into it because9:50honestly when I hear some songs, they9:52touch my heart. That's why I try to stay9:53away from worldly music. I'm afraid that9:56those songs carry me away. They will9:57separate me from my relationship with9:59God because of that. I don't like going10:01to every birthday party only to those of10:03people who are close. Is that okay? I10:05don't know what to do because I think10:07the songs that will be played will draw10:08me in. But I also don't want to keep I10:10also don't want to stop going to my10:13friends birthdays. I mean, that's valid,10:16but I would say there's a little bit of10:18fear mixed in with that discernment. Um,10:22avoiding something because you're weak10:24isn't the same as avoiding something10:25because you're wise. I don't think the10:27danger is music. Respectfully, I think10:30the danger is you believe music has the10:34power to separate you from God. Does10:36that make sense? So, the issue is not,10:39oh, this music is it's it's you think10:41the music can separate you from God.10:44Does that make sense at all? So, right.10:46And I'm I'm I'm thankful that you're10:48honest with yourself and I I understand10:50songs stir emotions 100%. And they put10:53you into, you know, memories and desires10:55and old patterns and but you know that10:58is a good spiritual self-awareness, I11:00would say. But [snorts] if you look at 111:02Corinthians 6:12, it says, "All things11:04are lawful unto me, but not all things11:06are expedient."11:08Um, so you can do those things, but you11:10don't have to do those things, which I11:12agree with you on that. But again, music11:15itself does not have the power by alone11:20to separate you from God. If you're11:22works based, you will probably think11:24that because now there's this underlying11:27heart that you can maintain your11:30relationship with God. It's not you11:32holding on to God, it's God holding on11:34to you. Does that make sense? Your11:37relationship is not maintained with God11:40by avoiding the wrong song or the wrong11:42things. Your relationship is only11:45available and and and secured because of11:49what Jesus did. When you look at Romans11:518:38 to39, it talks about this. You11:54know, you're persuaded that neither11:55death nor any other creature nor11:58anything can separate us. Nothing.12:00Notice Paul doesn't say unless you hear12:02the wrong song or unless your emotions12:04get hurt. He says nothing, including12:06music, has that authority. Now, I'm not12:10saying go and just listen to every12:12single song and do whatever you want. I12:14think we have to get out of the mindset12:16of I if I do this and I do that, right?12:20God didn't die to make you walk on12:22eggshells, right? He died for you to12:24have full confidence that no matter12:26what, God is going to help you. Now, it12:27is okay to stay away from the music,12:30right? Which is beautiful. You have the12:32right heart for that. And and I would12:34say that it's good like you had12:36mentioned it's to choose closer friends12:38over every you know invitation or12:40whatever to leave earlier or even take12:42breaks to protect your heart right but12:46it isn't healthy on the same token to12:48believe that God's closeness depends on12:50your avoidance right that you know uh12:53living in fear in this fear because God12:56doesn't give us a spirit of fear to be12:58carried away by music and and and I13:02think a lot of People struggle with this13:04where they think temptation equates to13:05separation. That's not true. Temptation13:09is only temptation and bad when you13:12consent to the temptation. When you you13:14know temptation comes from right13:16accepting accepting those things, right?13:19So again, it's not wrong to feel moved13:21by music. Emotions alone aren't sin.13:24They're just like, you know, they13:26signify they they're indicators, right?13:28They indicate something that you're13:29human. And you have to understand that13:31worldly music can't separate you from13:33God. The only thing that can truly13:34separate you from God is unbelief,13:37right? Not believing in him. So we have13:39to get out of this mindset that God is13:41fragile. Salvation is fragile. Your13:43relationship with God is, you know,13:45dependent on a playlist, right? Like13:48it's not though. It's actually very13:50strong. Your salvation was paid for by13:53blood, guys. It's not, you know what I'm13:56saying? By your your your own merit. It13:59was paid for by blood. That's that's14:01huge. It's blood money. Literally,14:05nowhere in the Bible does Jesus say,14:07"You better stay perfect or I'm out of14:09here. [laughter]14:10You better stay perfect or I'm I'm14:12gone." Like, what kind of pops would do14:15that? They don't do that. In fact, God14:18allows people to stumble and grow at14:20their own pace. He allows them free14:22choice to choose wisely. And you're14:25allowed to trust God basically. But a14:29lot of us, we have um fear that's kind14:34of masquerading itself, that's kind of14:37showing itself as holiness.14:40If you walk around with fear and try to14:43present it as holiness, at the core of14:46it, it's still fear. You get what I'm14:48saying, guys? Right? Like, I could14:50preach this gospel, right? But in my14:53heart, if I'm only preaching because I'm14:55scared that I'm going to burn in hell,14:57that's still fear and selfishness at the15:00end of the day. I'm not preaching it15:01because I love God. I'm preaching it cuz15:03I love me. You get me? And that's15:05dangerous no matter how you spin it.15:09Right? And so that's that's what it15:10comes down to. I don't know. It's a15:12little deep that I'm explaining, but15:14does it make sense to you guys what I'm15:15saying? So yeah, you don't want to have15:19fear, guys. That's dangero15:22dangerous. Hey, if you're enjoying this15:24episode, I have a whole other video15:26episode on all platforms, YouTube,15:29Spotify, Instagram, all that every15:31single Monday. Each episode is a gospel-15:34centered lesson that you could apply to15:35your life today. So, this is more15:37conversational. You guys know my team,15:39Jeremy and Aaron. We just have a lot of15:41fun. We joke around, but we get serious.15:44We get vulnerable. It's just very, very15:46different, and it's beautiful. I hope15:48you guys can tune in and we made this15:50for you guys. So, please enjoy. Yeah.15:53What advice would you give to someone15:54who struggles to put faith in God again?15:56This person explains that she is trying15:58to find answers for her illness or for16:00things that happened in her life. And16:02I'm trying to steer her in the direction16:03to to trust in God and not to try to16:06find answers herself. She says she was16:08an avid churchgoer, but somewhere down16:10the line stuff happened in her life and16:12she faltered with her faith faith. Since16:15I'm not a churchgoer myself, for me, I16:17want to strengthen my relationship with16:19God in my pace and not feel forced. I do16:22recognize myself where I could where I16:24would try to find answers myself, which16:25didn't work out. But through your16:27teachings, I realized that we really16:29can't do it alone. That's what you16:30should talk to her about right there.16:32You should tell her. You answered your16:33own question, right? Um, you should tell16:35her. You should tell her what you16:36exactly what you just said. That last16:38two lines right there. I'm not a church16:40goer myself, but for me, I want to16:42strengthen my relationship with God in16:44my pace and not feel forced. I'm not16:46trying to force anything onto you,16:47sister. I do recognize in myself where16:50just like you, I'm trying to find16:51answers for myself, which ultimately16:53didn't work out and then go a little bit16:55deeper as to why you didn't why it16:56didn't work out. You know, I was16:58searching for this and it led me down16:59one rabbit hole and another rabbit hole17:01and in the end it made me really sad and17:03bitter and lonely and miserable. And um17:05actually through this guy's teachings,17:07Johnny Chang, I realized that I really17:08can't do it alone. So maybe I can send17:10them to you if you want. Hey, I'm just,17:12you know, no, no pressure. But he really17:14helped me kind of see things. Bang bang,17:16get money, gang gang. You understand?17:19It's very simple. So that's what it kind17:21of comes down to, right? At the end of17:23the day. So I'm currently reading First17:26Kings 18:40. Mhm. And I understand17:28Elijah executed the prophets of all, but17:31I thought we don't repay evil with more17:33evil. So how can I comprehend this in17:35the best possible way? By receiving true17:37biblical salvation. uh by recognizing17:40that we have to read in context. Number17:42one, we can't comprehend something just17:45because we read over things. Number two,17:47we really have to receive biblical17:48salvation because the last part of it is17:51what you're kind of revealing. How can I17:53comprehend this in the best way17:55possible? I thought we won't we don't17:57repay evil with more evil. So that18:00that's a legalistic. And it's kind of18:02funny because in that context,18:06specifically Deuteronomy 13:5,18:09Moses under the Mosaic law is basically18:14giving the keys to what Elijah is doing.18:18Elijah never acts out of personal anger.18:21He's in the judicial realm of execution18:24under the Mosaic law. What does that18:26mean? prophet, false prophet, the ball,18:29the ball believers. They intentionally18:33led Israel into what? idolatry. They18:36made them cut their skin. They make18:38them, you know, all these evil things.18:40And so he's like, "Yeah, you guys are18:42going to die." It's not him. Understand18:45what I'm saying, right? It's not him18:48who's doing anything. He's acting off of18:51God's accord. When you understand these18:53types of things, understand? then you18:56you get it right. Uh and it's also18:59pointing to the gospel. So in the Old19:02Testament that was pre-cross, preJesus19:04Christ, right? So that means they were19:07under an old covenant. And that's why19:08Hebrews chap 10 9 and 10 tells us that19:12the old was renewed um removed, I'm19:14sorry, and there's a new covenant now.19:16So back then, judgment would fall on the19:18guilty. People would pay for their sins,19:20right? And or they would bring a lamb19:22without blemish. Again, foreshadowing19:24Jesus Christ. First kings is obviously19:26in the old testament but in the new19:28testament and then in the new co in the19:30new covenant the judgment falls on19:32Christ. So back then judgment fell on19:35the guilty new testament now judgment19:38falls on Christ. But the issue here is19:40we have to receive salvation to19:42understand that if we think we can19:44comprehend the bible that's where we19:45mess up. How can we as finite human19:48beings comprehend the bible? How can we19:51even know? We have pride when we when we19:53do that, right? Only two types of hearts19:55arise when I say you can't comprehend19:57the Bible. The first heart is I have the20:00Holy Spirit and I can right which is20:02usually a heart of arrogance. The second20:04heart is dang that's so true. I I really20:07need to learn. Do you understand the20:10fact that we think like how come you20:11guys don't ask me how to get to Mars20:13because you realize you can never do it20:15even if I told you. Neither do you want20:17to go up there anyways. Right? So when20:20people ask questions like that, it's20:22it's it's proof that we can comprehend,20:24we can do something, but we can't20:26because we don't understand the context.20:28The whole comprehension has to come from20:30the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit20:32comes to people who truly believe that20:34they were sinners and needed repentance20:35and turned to God fully 1,000%. Not20:39still I can do it. Trusting in yourself20:41to comprehend is still trusting in20:43yourself. Understand? God says lean not20:45on your own understanding and then all20:47those things come. It's very simple.20:50Amen. So, yeah, kind of talks about20:52this. Buddhis, land of the dead. Yeah.20:55Land of the the the dead spirits. Um, I20:59watched your your podcast with George21:00Yenko and James Ston. Was there was21:02there something you disagreed with but21:04didn't say directly? I mean, yeah, I21:07don't think it needed to be said,21:08though. There's a lot of things I21:09disagree with, but you know, good21:12communication is not saying everything21:14right and only bringing out the truth.21:17Good communication is reading heart21:18posture and knowing what to say because21:21you could say the right thing at the21:22wrong time and it's not going to do21:24anything for you. Right? It says even a21:26fool becomes wise when he holds his21:28peace. It's very clear. But a lot of21:31people they just I'm going to tell the21:34truth. I know. I I think I know the21:35truth. And boom, they just leak it all21:36out. And then what it does is it kills21:38people. Straight up kills people. All21:41right. Amen. Nothing but the blood of21:43Jesus. Amen. So yeah, watch uh if you21:47guys are brand new, watch the salvation21:49video cuz I'm not here just to answer21:51questions. We have to also kind of21:53understand the context of being saved,21:56right? Lately, I've been getting angry21:59anytime someone speaks to me trying to22:01enlighten me with the word. And I don't22:02know if I'm angry at God or if I'm just22:04so ungrateful that I just cannot accept22:06and receive things graciously. But22:07whatever is going on with me is making22:09me want to push God away. Even though22:12I'm still praying in anger, I feel like22:13I'm losing it. I don't know what's going22:15on with me. Uh, what specifically are22:17they saying that's getting you angry?22:20So, let me know that first and then we22:22can kind of tackle it. So, I've been22:24reading the ESV Bible and currently in22:26songs. Can I pick up where I'm at in KJV22:29or should I just start from the22:30beginning? Either or. Whatever you'd22:32like to do. It's, you know, all that. Do22:36names have any significance or meaning22:38when biblically related? Sure. When you22:40read the Bible, it speaks about them.22:42makes me spiral when I think of my name.22:44No, we're we're we're that whether we22:46have like a person if if they're Saul uh22:50and their name is not Saul, it doesn't22:52mean that they don't have the heart of22:53Saul. We're all sinners. We all had the22:56heart of Saul. Kind of comes down to it22:58at the end of the day. Uh it's just it's23:00just we don't have to spiral about those23:02things. Yeah. Hey Johnny, I'm 20 years23:04old. I just started my first corporate23:06job 6 months ago. Congrats. I've been23:08making a lot of mistakes and sometimes23:09when I ask my coworker nearest to me for23:12help, there's a strong passive23:13aggressiveness to her when I ask23:14questions. I'm not the best at standing23:17up for myself and it's something that's23:19been on my on my mind heavy. How do you23:22suggest move forward? It's okay. Just23:23move forward. Acknowledge that. Yeah,23:25it's difficult and and all you got to do23:26is apologize and say, "Hey, you know, I23:29understand that it can be frustrating. I23:31just want you to know that I I I23:32appreciate you and I know how hard it is23:34to deal with people like me and so I'm23:36sorry if I uh offended you in any way.23:39I'm really just trying to learn. You23:41know, I'm young and uh I don't have as23:44much skills and I kind of look up to23:45you. So, thank you for helping me23:47genuinely and and see what that does23:49when you speak that to people as you23:52speak to them in that way, right? It's23:54very very beautiful, right? In that way.23:57So it our heart is just to gain their23:59hearts and and you'll see. Can you24:01elaborate on 1 Corinthians 5:11? Mhm. I24:04feel like some of the people it warns24:06about applies to me. Although my24:09identity isn't in sin but in Christ.24:11Overall, I'm hoping you can elaborate on24:12the instruction and provide context. Um24:15you can continuously read the context,24:17right? A lot of the times they24:18misunderstood this. If you read this on24:20a surface level, you're going to think,24:22yeah, uh if I struggle with these24:24things, I'm out. So when you look at 124:27Corinthians 5, it's verse 11. So the24:30best thing to do is start in the24:31beginning which just 1 to two, right? Uh24:34there is a fornication among you. You24:37being puffed and rather not mourned,24:39right? So the issue isn't sin alone.24:42It's you refuse to repent and you're24:45boasting about that. He he says it if24:47any man is called a brother. So someone24:50who claims true biblical salvation24:52but openly living in doing whatever they24:55want and not truly repenting to God24:59struggling is different than just25:01actively doing it because you justify it25:03and you love it and you don't care. It's25:06he's not saying any believer who sins.25:09He's saying you know these people who25:11justify and only care about those types25:14of things, right? And then if you look25:16at it a few verses later like verse I25:18think 12 to1325:21he says how can I judge them do not25:24judge them that are within right so he's25:27just saying you don't have to judge them25:28but these are he's just making a truth25:30claim it's true right he's not25:33condemning them he's not rejecting them25:34he's trying to actually restore them25:36he's trying to wake them up and so after25:39that he goes to uh actually before all25:41of that he goes to 1 Corinthians 5:525:44right he delivers them unto Satan to the25:46destruction of their flesh that their25:48spirit may be saved. So those people,25:50they will be delivered unto Satan to be25:52toyed with. Sure. If I go out to strip25:55clubs all all day and every night and25:57take all of your guys' money and I do25:58that. Sooner or later, something's going26:01to happen. I'm either going to run out26:02of money, I'm going to get back into26:03drugs, I'm going to fall into lust. Now,26:05my soul won't be destroyed, but my flesh26:08will. If I'm spending 10 hours at the26:11strip club, which is crazy, then I'm26:13spending 10 hours out of the Bible. Does26:16that make sense? So, my spirit will26:18still be saved. Sure. Because you can't26:20lose your salvation technically, right?26:22But if you sit there and you do that,26:24you will you will basically be stunted26:26in your salvation, right? And later on,26:29it talks about it, right, of the man26:32coming back essentially. And so, you26:35know, he explains to us that um the part26:39that you got right, I would say is is my26:41my identity isn't in sin, but but it's26:43in Christ. And so,26:47you're not saying this is who I am and I26:49won't repent and God's cool with that.26:50Like, he's not though. That's a26:52different heart posture. So, yeah, you26:56just have to believe that. Um, if you26:59think 1 Corinthians 5:11 is you sin in27:03these exact ways, then you lose your27:06salvation. Then grace wouldn't be grace.27:10The fact that you can't stop doing that27:11is why you need Jesus Christ. Amen. So,27:14yeah, it's a very good thing. He's not27:17threatening anything. You you you have27:19to believe that you're under grace and27:23that's why God is going to help you.27:25that struggle that you have, it doesn't,27:27you know, dictate who you are. In fact,27:31the fact that you notice that you're27:32struggling is proof that you're saved.27:34So, you don't have to worry too much27:35about that, I would say. But you should27:37obviously think about God and lay that27:40at, you know, God's feet and be like,27:42"Lord, this is what I'm struggling with.27:44Can you please help me with this?" And27:46that's the most important thing, right?27:48Abiding in Jesus is like this is going27:50to God and saying, "God, please help27:52me." So that's kind of what it comes27:54down to. If you love biblical lessons27:56like this, then you would love my weekly27:58Bible class. Bible class brings clarity,28:01community, and consistency. There are a28:03lot of us who read the Bible, but we28:04don't know how to apply that to our28:05lives. Consistency. Also, a lot of you28:08guys want to read the Bible, and you28:09don't know where to start, how to start,28:11and therefore it kind of discourages you28:13guys to read the Bible. So, every week28:15at on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Pacific28:17Standard Time, we go through one chapter28:20and we break down every single verse and28:23apply those verses to your life. And28:24after the Bible class, we also do a28:27group mentor session where it's you can28:29ask me customized questions and anything28:32about the class and anything about your28:34own life. If this sounds interesting to28:36you, you guys can check the link in the28:38bio and use code wisdom to get 50% off28:40your first month. See you guys this28:42Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard28:45Time. Got any advice for a single a28:48tired single mom of three? I feel like28:50I'm spinning my wheels and like I can28:52never catch a break. I feel like I don't28:54have time for anything so much so that I28:57even pulled an allnighter the other day.28:58I'm exhausted. Yeah, that's normal,29:00right? And you know, it's difficult,29:02right? Being a single anything, single29:04parent just in general is is difficult.29:07You're allowed to take a break, though.29:09You're allowed to not be their savior.29:12You're allowed to go, "Hey, let me go in29:14front of God today. Okay, you guys got29:16this to do." Like, we're just going to29:17skip it. Take your time to take your29:19breaks. It's okay. And um yeah, if you29:22got to step away for a little bit and29:24have somebody watch your kids for a29:26little bit, whoever can help you. Um29:28take a take a day to yourself and just,29:31you know, recharge like plugging in your29:33battery to, you know, the outlet and29:35then come back and do it again. That's29:38part of life, you know. Believe it or29:39not, that's what's keeping you close to29:41God. Your kids, right? God gives kids to29:44people who really can't lead their lives29:45and think that they're really good29:47because they'll lead their lives really29:49well and then they'll never need anybody29:50else. So, he'll give them kids. A lot of29:52you guys don't know your kids saved you29:54or you maybe you do know. So, if you29:57just think about that, you won't think29:58of them as three little, you know, kids30:00that give you problems and whatever.30:02You'll think of it as like, wow, you30:04know, they they keep me grounded. they30:06turned me into a woman, right? And so,30:10how do we gently share the gospel to30:11unbelievers without being overbearing?30:13Family in particular, um just the just30:15the the the testimony, uh number one,30:18you the way you carry yourself, right,30:21is going to actually preach louder than30:23any sermon. So, if they see more peace30:25in you, because they know you,30:27specifically your family members, that's30:28why it's so hard to preach to them cuz30:30you can't talk to them about Jesus when30:32they seen you on demon time, right?30:35when they've seen you resentful and30:36gossipy and BC like before Christ you30:39and I mean it's it's then that's valid30:42that's fair. So you have to kind of just30:45um let your actions speak, right? And30:48that's what it comes down to. Have a30:50fight coming up in two weeks and I've30:52been struggling with six. Any insight to30:54lock in? Yeah. Distrusting yourself.30:57Distrusting yourself. learning that,30:59hey, and you might have to lose that31:01fight, let's say, to to for you to see31:04that uh cigarettes are not an issue.31:07It's what you're leaning on that's31:08drawing,31:10you know, it's drawing you away from31:13God, right? What's filling your heart31:16besides God? That's what we have to31:18figure out. Why do you run to the31:19cigarettes? It's not cuz you're31:20addicted. It's actually because there's31:22something that's comforting you and31:24you're finding comfort in the nicotine31:26rather than in the savior and that's31:31until that changes then you probably31:33won't stop uh smoking right so that's31:37what you have to sit down with God and31:38god please fill my heart with your love31:41right how can we know or discern which31:43heart posture our hearts are in whether31:45it's more about say you won't be able to31:48yeah you can't discern your own heart31:50posture31:50Uh that's why it says the heart is31:52deceitful. Uh because even if you feel31:55like you have then what happens is that31:58also slips out from you. The one thing32:00Satan wants you to do is to make you32:01think you know yourself genuinely.32:04Right? Then he can deceive you by saying32:05yeah you know yourself and then he can32:07just plant lies inside of you. Right? So32:09um that's the whole point is why we need32:11a congregation why we need people to32:13discern. Why I speak this way so people32:15can go oh that's my heart. Oh that's32:17what I'm actually going through right32:19now. Okay, let me listen in. Right? A32:21lot of people gain more from just32:22listening. I mean, there's 400 plus32:25people in here, almost 500. Not32:27everyone's typing. And it's because they32:28know. They know that when they're32:30listening, they're going to gain32:31whatever it is that they need to gain.32:33Understand what I'm saying? I'm very32:35confident in my salvation. I don't32:36question it. Can I just not get over my32:38addictions and strong? Because you trust32:40yourself. That's what I'm saying. Your32:43strongholds and your addictions, you32:44answered it. Why on earth can I just not32:47get over my addictions? Because you32:48still trying to get over yourself is you32:51still trusting in yourself. For years,32:53you just trust yourself. That's what it32:55comes down to, right? And so that's why32:59God is trying to show you like knowing33:01something versus trusting God with it is33:03two different things. You have to think33:05about it. Is my addiction a problem to33:07God? It is not. Is my stronghold a33:10problem to God? It is not. But we we33:13fail to even think like that. instead we33:15we we try to take care of it ourselves.33:18So yeah, you're going to struggle with33:19it until until again God allows you to33:22sit there and kind of kind of let you go33:25through it. So that's what it comes down33:27to. Okay? And and and don't worry, don't33:30be frustrated with I mean you're it's33:31valid to be angry and frustrated with33:33yourself, but you're only doing it33:35because you're trying to save yourself.33:37Again, it's this mindset of I need to33:39overcome this. It's been years, okay?33:42And Jesus waited 30 years to enter in33:44his ministry. He could have been like,33:45"Bro, I've been building these chairs33:46and tables for like 30 years, bro. Come33:48on now." He could say that, too. God,33:51you you told me you're going to call me.33:53Why you waiting making me wait 30 years33:54for what? Okay, God, you're the God.33:57You're going to give me a baby. I'm 10033:59now. Hello, Abraham. So, it's like34:01again, it's it's it's just our own34:03timing. That's the problem here. Pastor,34:05can you explain 1 Corinthians 11:26-29?34:09How can we examine ourselves to be34:10worthy to take the wine? Okay, so this34:15is obviously talking about the bread,34:17right, and drinking the cup. And then34:20you say, "Let a man examine himself." So34:23you have to think about this for a34:24second, right? What happens in 134:28Corinthians 11 20-22?34:31You have to think about it. They are34:34turning because it's a church of34:35Corinth, they are turning this communion34:38into like a social gathering. They're34:40getting drunk. They're humiliating the34:42poor. They're distorting the gospel.34:45When he says, "Examine yourself. Are you34:48doing this just for a social feast to34:50show people, look at me, I took the34:52Eucharist." Or are you recognizing what34:54this bread and cup and this blood really34:57represent? That's what it means. Are you35:01treating the sacrifice of Jesus holy?35:04Are you saying that you're righteous?35:06Are you recognizing the finished work on35:08the cross? Are you recognizing that35:11Jesus died for your sins? That's what it35:13comes down to. Right? So, this is not35:16talking about eternal damnation because35:19the word you that he uses is damnation.35:22But you need to understand what it is in35:24Coney Greek. It's kma. And kma means35:27discipline or correction or even35:28judgment. not eternal dam condemnation.35:31So that's why in the35:35uh in verse 30 just a couple verses35:37later I think it's verse 30 to 3235:40specifically 32 that we should not be35:42condemned with the world we are35:44chastened by the Lord chastised but we35:47won't be condemned for it so that's what35:49it comes down to right and this is35:51really talking about performance-based35:53and works based things like are you35:54trusting Christ sacrifice and is alone35:56or are you doing it for performance35:59not did I sin am I clean enough? Did I36:02do it right? Like that's actually36:04incorrect. Yeah. So it's not a portal36:07for the these people. No, no disrespect,36:10Eileen sis. You know, [sighs] when36:13people, you know, say things like this,36:15like I need to see where it says that in36:18the Bible. Do you understand what I'm36:20saying? Like that's so fear-based.36:23Think about it, Eileen sis. Right. Think36:25about it. Even though they say this, and36:26I'm not trying to disrespect your36:27counsel here, but but let's just think36:30about it, right? I I'm having somewhat36:31the same issue you said because I'm36:33going to two secular music contests this36:34year and the pastor and a sister that I36:36fellowship brought it up and said that36:38it is a portal for the enemy conflicted36:41on what to do and wanted to seek your36:42guidance. I'm sorry to say I just talked36:46about the fear aspect. It sounds very36:48spiritual but again they're saying36:51things like it's a portal. Where does it36:54say that? Right? If that's the case,36:57sitting in your car is a portal, too,36:59because your car has plastic in it. And37:02plastic gives the frequency of death.37:05So, you're sitting in a death trap. I37:07think you're more likely to die by a car37:10accident than to have a demon jump37:12inside of you, which he can't even do it37:14if you're actually saved. You know,37:16demons tremble at Jesus, but these37:18messages make you who has Jesus tremble37:21at demons.37:23You understand what I'm saying, sister?37:25That's the problem. Yes, music can37:27influence emotions, but so can anything.37:30I can sit and look at the beach and go,37:33"Wow, what a beautiful thing." Uh-oh, I37:35opened a portal. Understand? Music can37:38stir desires. Sure. And so can other37:41things. I can see a Lambo pull up next37:43to me and go, "Dang, I need that." Vroom37:46vroom vroom vroom. Pop hood pop voom.37:49Understand? Like anything. If that's the37:51case, right? No, genuinely. Then how do37:54these people live? How how do they37:57genuinely live? If you go and you're37:59opening yourself to demonic control or38:02separation from God, first and foremost,38:05you're now placing fear above grace38:08genuinely. So of course, you shouldn't38:10be going, right? And even if you go, you38:14know that God is going to protect you.38:16Like I said, salvation,38:18our spiritual life is not fragile. Do38:20you guys understand that Jesus died,38:22brothers and sisters? He died so you so38:25so you know a couple tunes can open a38:28freaking portal for a demon to jump in38:30you. Dang. I guess he didn't die hard38:33enough. You you you understand what I'm38:35saying, guys? Like if you think about38:37it, even from that perspective, it just38:39makes zero sense. They're just teaching38:42what they were taught. And respectfully,38:44I'm not trying to be mean. It just it38:46doesn't make sense, though. I would say38:49the more dangerous thing is are you38:51going to these concerts because you want38:52to feel something when truly, you know,38:55or replace something when God is the one38:58who fills your heart, right? And I don't39:00think you are, Eileen, sis. I I I39:02genuinely don't think you are. I think39:04you're just going to have a good time39:05and just enjoy.39:07You know what I'm saying? Like you you39:08you've been in accidents, you you know,39:11paralyzed, etc. Like, it's okay to go39:13out there and chillax and relax. It's39:15not a problem. I would go to a I got39:18invited to the All-Star game. I'm not39:20I'm not able to go, but it's like, oh,39:23you know, like if I go over there, it's39:25going to open a portal, too. And, you39:27know, and be scared and blah blah. Like,39:29oh, I'm not going to go, right? It's in39:31LA. And it's like, okay, the three-point39:33contest and the dunk contest and but I'm39:36not going to go. Why? Because I rather39:38spend my time catching up on daily39:41devotionals and preaching the gospel.39:42What am I I'm not even a basketball39:44player. Why am I going to go there and39:45be like, "Wow, that's cool." Like it's39:46cool, but I don't really need to do all39:49of that though. So you, sister, are you39:51going there to fill your heart? I don't39:53think so. I think you're simply going to39:55enjoy music with awareness and39:57boundaries. And I think that's actually39:58really good to flex your spiritual40:00muscle here and there. I don't think40:02it's a problem. You get what I'm saying?40:04Now, people will call me a heretic for40:06that, but it's like we Jesus didn't die40:10so you can walk on eggshells and be40:12limited, right? We don't live in a40:14bubble, guys.40:16Demons tremble at us because we have40:18Jesus inside of us. Understand what I'm40:21saying, right? It's like they're40:23supposed to be afraid of us. We're not40:25supposed to be afraid of them. So, if40:27you go there and you feel anxiety and40:28fear and and spiritual like, you know,40:31dread, then probably don't go.40:34Understand? Probably don't go. But I40:36don't I don't think it's going to do40:37that. I think in fact, you're getting40:39more fear from what people are saying to40:41you. Not because you hate them, but40:42because you respect them. because you40:44respect them and you're like, "Okay, I40:46won't go because like I want to love on40:48God, you know, and that's not a bad40:51heart to have." And I believe your40:52pastors also and that sister also love40:54on God, but they're they don't realize40:57that they're moving with fear. Anything40:59when you move with fear is not correct.41:03You can you can se if I were you, you41:05can select too. You can go, "All right,41:07there's two secular ones. Let me go to41:09one and skip another. If I go, let me41:11leave early." You can even do you can41:13ground, you can go with with with with41:15things that'll ground you. Like you41:17could pray before you go and you can uh41:20think of a scripture as you go there and41:21you can try to kind of have this sober41:23awareness and spiritual awareness. I41:25mean, why couldn't you be able to do41:27that? If anything, that's like really41:28working with God. So, I'll show you41:30right where this is so biblical. Can you41:32pull up Colossians chapter 2 20-23?41:35Watch what it says specifically. Eileen,41:37watch here. Let me show you. Okay, read41:39this carefully. Okay, watch. Read it41:40with me. All right, I'm going to give41:42you scripture. Wherefore, if you be dead41:44with Christ from the rudiments of the41:46world, why? As though living in the41:48world, are you subject to ordinances?41:50Touch not, taste not, handle not, which41:52all are to perish while they the using41:54after the commandments and doctrines of41:56men. Sheesh, what the heck is Paul doing41:58right now? He's saying, you're not under42:00the you're not subject to the ordinance.42:02Touch not, taste not, handle not, which42:04all are perishing anyways after the42:06commandments and doctrines of men, not42:08God. 23 which have things indeed a show42:11of wisdom. Sure, they're good and42:13they're wise in will worship and42:14humility and neglecting of the body but42:17not in any honor to the satisfying of42:20the flesh. Do you understand what he's42:22saying here? He's saying touch not,42:25taste not, handle not, but are no value42:29against what? The indulgences, the42:31satisfying of the flesh. They're not42:33valuable. Understand? They don't do42:36anything.42:37So this thing, it looks like this this42:40fear-based restriction looks holy but42:43doesn't actually transform anything42:45because why? You're still operating from42:47fear. So if I don't touch something42:49based off of fear, am I con am I42:52transformed or am I actually in bondage?42:56If I tell the truth because I'm scared42:58I'm going to burn in hell, do I really43:00honor truth or am I afraid that I'm43:02going to burn in hell? Do you43:03understand? You see the difference,43:05right? Make sense? That's That's not43:08good either. Oh, I'm telling the truth43:10because you're afraid to burn in hell.43:12You're not actually honoring truth.43:14Exactly. You're operating through fear.43:16And that's not good. Again, going to a43:19concert does not in itself separate from43:23God. If you cannot go to a concert and43:26still go to hell is what I'm saying.43:28Make sense? There are many people that43:30didn't go to concerts and went to hell.43:33And there are many people I'm sure who43:34went to concerts and are going straight43:36to heaven. So again, right, people are43:40so like quid pro. If I do this, you do43:42that. If I do this, you do. It's like43:44it's not that black and white43:45respectfully. Understand? So the real43:48question is not will the enemy get43:50access to me. The real question is am I43:53walking in freedom, in boldness, or am I43:57walking in fear? That's what you should44:00be asking. Understand? God is with us.44:04If anything draws us away from him, you44:06don't think he's going to pull us back.44:09You think God's like like God plays hot44:11potato with us? Oh, no. No, no, no, no,44:14no. Like, oh, you're going too far.44:16Like, it's like, come on, man. God is so44:20strong. He'll, if he goes, take your44:23hands off of her, it's over for Satan's44:26going to be like,44:28okay. Like, that's all Satan can do cuz44:30he's a little girl. Take your hands off44:32of her. Take your hands off of him right44:34now. You think he's No, I'm stronger44:37than you. Yeah, right. He gets stretched44:39out. He'll tuck his tail and run. Crawl44:42away like a little baby. Like seriously,44:46they they give way too much power to44:48Satan. Honestly, you better be careful44:50what portals are going to open up. Your44:53ear gates and your eye gates. What44:55happened here? Let me see. You need some44:56deliverance. What'd you open up your ear44:58gates to today? Oh, let's get that demon45:00out of you. It's like, what the faith45:02are you talking about right now? What45:05are you saying right now? If you look in45:06my ears, all there is is ear wax. What45:09are you saying right now? And even with45:11the ear wax, I can hear through the BS.45:13That's exactly what they said.45:20Like I said, your salvation is not45:23fragile. You are not fragile, sis. You45:26may be confounded to a wheelchair. So45:28what? That doesn't mean anything. You45:29have the heart of a lion. Understand45:32why? Because the heart and the lion of45:34Judah lives in your heart. You45:36understand? Your relationship with God45:38is not hanging on some freaking concert45:41ticket or some freaking playlist.45:44Yes, you are to walk wisely. Yes, you45:47are to honor the conscience. Sure. But45:49you're not supposed to allow fear or45:51anyone with fear to redefine your45:54holiness or your identity. That's it.45:57Amen. That's what it is. And they're not45:59going to possess you. Trust if demons46:02can possess us, they would have been46:03done. So if demons could possess us,46:06they would have did. They would have46:08killed us. They wouldn't just be like46:10raw. Make a little taps, couple taps on46:13your window. Oh, demon. That's the whole46:16point. They're paper tigers. They're46:20scarecrows. From afar, they look real,46:23but as soon as you get close to them, oh46:25yeah, you're nothing. All they can do is46:28toy with you and play with you and be46:30like, "I'm strong. I can hurt you."46:33Yeah, but if the truth if they could,46:36you think they would they would just sit46:38there and play with you? They would kill46:39you. What are you talking about?46:42Understand? They have they're they're46:43they're on a leash. They can only do46:45certain things that God allows.46:48Understand? That's it. And that's that.46:51Genuinely, guys, daily devotionals are46:53back. My hopes to help you47:13guys grow with your spiritual life each47:16and every day. You see how when you guys47:18come into these main stages, you learn,47:20right? Wow, that's true. Salvation is47:23that fragile? Wow, man. Yeah. To people47:26who don't believe and really know what47:28salvation is. Sure.47:31Sure. It's really strong. God is very47:34strong, guys. Don't play with his salv.47:37He's He's so so strong. Can nothing can47:41separate you, right? And tie God's47:44hands, if you will. God says, "I never47:46sleep nor slumber." Why? Because guys,47:50because Satan doesn't sleep or slumber,47:52so he has to be there to protect you47:54deuce 47, 24/7. That's I'm so glad you47:58know, God doesn't get his. He don't He48:00don't need to sleep. He's like, I got to48:02fight for you every day. And he does.48:04But people add their thoughts into these48:07things, right? No, but I have to I have48:10to be diligent. I have to be careful. I48:12Do you guys understand how wicked and48:14cunning Satan is? We're all fried if we48:17try to fight him. Amen. There is no way,48:22Amen. There's no way, guys, that we48:25could do anything for our salvation,48:27even our protection. So, God is very48:31beautiful in this way. All right. So,48:34yeah. Right. I hope you guys can48:36understand you know everything we we do48:40with with God is is for grace for grace.48:47We are we we need we need the grace of48:51God. So everything we do with God and48:53for God is by grace and for grace. So48:56all of your message, everything that you48:58guys do, you have to live for his grace.49:00You have to exude his grace. There's49:03absolutely nothing you can do.49:06All of you guys have to really come to49:08that conclusion. Hey, God loves you.49:10Look, every one of you guys in here is,49:12you know, hardened in some kind of way.49:14A lot of us are stubborn in our own way.49:16We all think we're good in our own way.49:18And still Jesus died for you. He still49:22chose you. [snorts and clears throat] He49:24still loves you. Yeah, he will chastise49:27time to time. Yeah, he will be like,49:29"Ah, he shouldn't be doing that." But49:31he's not going to be like, "It's over49:32for you. I hate you. You're dumb. You49:34die." [clears throat]49:35And then turn on the oven and throw you49:37in there. Like, that's not what God49:39does, man. That's not his character.49:41When you read the Bible enough, it's cuz49:42you, A lot of you guys haven't read the49:44Bible enough. When you read it enough,49:45you're like, "Dang, God is actually49:48really patient with people." 400 years49:52he waited for freaking Assyria, man. The49:53church of Assyria. He waited 400 years49:55for the Assyrians and then wiped them49:57out. Like, dang, bro. Sheesh, dude.50:00like how much longer do they need? It's50:03like it's really cool. And and us, he's50:06waiting for how many years, right? He50:09waited for us for like 30 years, some of50:11us, 40 years, some of us, 25 years, some50:13of us. It's like sheesh, man. And mind50:15you, think about God, guys. He has to do50:18this with everybody,50:20man. I I wouldn't even be able to to50:23wait for one person for 25, 30 years to50:25come to the He has to do this with every50:27single person. you, me, and everybody50:29else. He had to do this generationally50:32for years, bro. And you think you have50:35longsuffering? Oh, man. Come on, man.50:40Right. You ever think about it from that50:42perspective? Look, you guys know me. I'm50:44king perspective. I'm always bringing50:46perspectives, right? But think about it50:48though. God waited one. You wait for one50:52person to change. If they don't change50:53off the third try, you're like, I'm out50:55of here. Divorce, whatever, right? But50:57imagine God. He's like that times51:00billions. And yet he's still like it's51:03cool. You know, when you start to think51:05about it like that, you can't fathom how51:08much God loves us. If you say, "I know51:11how much God loves me." Nah, you don't.51:14Because there's no way anyone can fathom51:18that. He made it that way. We We don't51:21fathom how God loves us. You know why?51:23Cuz as soon we can sit there and cry,51:25"Spirit, lead me." Right? We sing the51:27songs worthy is your name. We sing all51:29these banger hits, right? Thank you,51:31Jesus. I love you so much. And in the51:33next stroke, if he don't give you what51:34you want, why God? Why? What did I do51:37wrong? Why aren't you giving me this?51:40Why? Huh? Why?51:44I was vulnerable with you. I prayed. I51:46tied. I fasted. Why? Oh, yeah. I thought51:49you loved him so much. What's going on51:53here? I thought you were sitting there.51:55You're just like so beautiful this51:59message. And then in the same stroke,52:01why hast thou forsaken me? Exactly guys,52:05that's how we don't know God, man. Like52:08that. So what is the smart thing to do52:10is to acknowledge that? Oh, I don't know52:12God. And that's okay, guys. I've read52:15the Bible 26 times. I know God 0.2%.52:20Not bad, right? 0.2%.52:23Y'all are laughing. I'm I'm dead52:24serious.52:250.2%.52:27Understand? I don't know him.52:30Understand? I don't know him. That's52:31what I'm basically saying. You ever get52:33happy for 0.2% of anything? [laughter]52:36You are 0.2% healed from your cancer.52:39Huh? And now I'm going to kill you.52:42Understand? You are 0.2% richer than52:45last year. Oh, so I'm still broke. I52:47gotcha. Okay, cool. Thank you. You are52:500% 2.2% more spiritually upgraded.52:53Thanks, but no thanks. I spit on you.52:55Put tui. I spit on you. Understand what52:58I'm saying? No, genuinely guys, we I53:02don't know God. And neither do you guys.53:04And if I don't know God, and I read the53:05Bible more than most of you guys, you53:07don't know God either.53:09Understand what I'm saying? And that's53:11okay, right? That's okay. Amen. I'm53:15telling y'all, I'm not saying this out53:16of humility. You know how much I want to53:18know God? I want to know him a lot. But53:20I realize I can't know him. I don't know53:23God, bro. Now, what pastor is going to53:25tell you that? Understand? God spoke to53:28me. Yeah, right. Foo. The only time God53:32speaks to me is when he launches his53:33lightning chunka at me. Oh, I'm sorry.53:36Am I supposed Yeah. Wake up, stupid. Oh,53:38okay. Thank you. Right. That's the only53:42time God speaks to me is you're dumb,53:44bro. You need to wake up. Oh, gotcha.53:47Okay. Right. It's like literally it's so53:50it's so amazing how God shows us these53:54things. So just acknowledge that guys.53:57Just acknowledge that right? So then53:59when I say hey you guys don't know you54:02won't be all like mad. I mean what do54:03you mean I don't know what are you54:04talking about? Right? No we don't know.54:08And that's how he made it. If you knew54:10God's every move and you knew his heart54:12always then you wouldn't need him. Amen.54:16Now, let me explain something. You also54:18do know everything about God. Do you54:21know why? Because he gave you the the54:25hack. Did you guys know that God told us54:28what he loves and what he accepts? Did54:30you guys know he tells you what he54:32thinks is actually good? It's in the54:35Bible. That's There's one thing that he54:38really Well, two things technically, but54:39they all tie into one. There's one54:41thing. Amen. It's the gospel. They're54:45like Jesus. Yes, of course it's Jesus.54:47But it's like what does Jesus represent?54:50The gospel. That's why 1 Timothy chapter54:522 verse 3 and 4 speaks about this. He54:56gives you the gospel and the answer to54:58that. That's what he loves. So you do55:01know God's heart at least on that level55:04that all God cares about is the gospel55:06and people coming to that knowledge.55:08Amen. That's what it means right here.55:12It says it right. For this is good and55:14acceptable in the sight of God our55:16savior. What is good and what does he55:17accept? Who will have all men to be55:20saved? Everyone gets saved. Salvation.55:23And come unto the knowledge of the truth55:24which is you're righteous, you're55:26perfected, you're holy. To come to the55:28knowledge of Jesus because he is the55:29way, the life, the truth. So, do you55:31know God? You do. Not because you know,55:34but because the Bible tells you what he55:36likes and what he needs and what he55:38wants. He doesn't care about obedience.55:40A lot of people were obedient to him.55:42Jesus had 70 disciples who went out two55:44by two that were obedient. But in the55:46end, only 12 remained. Obedience fades,55:50brothers and sisters. Understand? Love55:53fades.55:55But the one thing that will never fade55:57is the word of God, which is the gospel,55:59which is Jesus Christ. Do you56:01understand? That's what he's saying. So,56:04do you guys know God? Yes. But not in56:07the way you think you know God.56:08Relationally, maybe not. But56:11scripturally, yes. That's why I only56:14focus on the gospel. Do you guys56:16understand now why I only talk about the56:18gospel? Every single day is a variation56:20of the gospel. Amen. You don't have to56:23know everything. I I I I just came back56:25from meeting brother Jr., his mom, his56:29dad, right? Brooklyn, right? And we went56:33out to eat and it was beautiful. I56:34haven't seen him for what, two years. I56:36think he came down from Australia56:39and his family and it was like we didn't56:42even skip a beat. We ate together. We56:45laughed together. I really missed them a56:48lot. I really love them a lot. They're56:50like my family family. His mom is like56:53my mom. His dad is like my dad.56:55Genuinely, we're all onehearted. How can56:58this be? They live thousands of miles57:01away. It's not like I talk to JR every57:03single day, right? But we have one thing57:06that's connecting us, the gospel. Right?57:10I know he goes through hard times. I57:11know he knows I go through hard times.57:14But that's what makes it so beautiful is57:16that we're family because of that. We're57:18family because no matter how much I go57:20through it or he goes through it, God is57:23with us through it all, too. Both of us.57:25He's with me and he's with him and he's57:26with his family, too. [snorts] And the57:29only thing I miss and I regret is not57:31hanging out with him often. more often.57:34If you lived in the States, I'd hang out57:36with them all the time. And so, it's57:38beautiful because although we're distant57:40by by distance, we're all onehearted57:44still though. Isn't that beautiful? How57:47can that be? Amen, J.R., I didn't know57:49you were in here. Amen. Right. Right.57:52So, this is the heart that we have is we57:54all love each other because of the57:56gospel. I consider him family. He58:00considers me family. Why though? Because58:03of the gospel, right? If it wasn't for58:05the gospel, I would never reach58:07Melbourne, Australia. I would never meet58:11reach places like Jamaica. I would never58:13reach UK, right? El Salvador, Mexico,58:18Thailand, right? Philippines,58:22you you know, London, right?58:24Switzerland,58:26Sweden. Understand? And all of you guys,58:29we were talking about this today. His58:31mom was saying, you know, the the58:35community feels like such a family. Even58:38when J when you know, J.R. was out here,58:42right? Oh, you know, or I'm sorry, when58:44I was out there, you know, they were58:46like, Jr. Jr., you know, his father was58:50like, dude, it was crazy how everyone58:54was like, Jr., what do you mean? Like,58:55you never met my son, dude. Like how do58:57you guys know him like he's your homie?58:59Yeah, because we are homies. We are59:02family. We are beyond homies. Elanoa59:04comes over and you know meets everyone59:07at the LA live event. Although you're59:09Ellen and it's just it's all family at59:11the end of the day. Why though guys?59:14Because of the gospel. So what does God59:17love the gospel? Why? Because the gospel59:20is not justformational. It's59:22transformational.59:25It transforms people. I see serium in59:27here. Her kids too completely changed.59:32Completely changed. Listen to the59:34gospel. Used to struggle all the time.59:36Used to struggle with ADHD and59:38depression and suicidal ideiations.59:42And every time I see them, hey, Pastor59:44Johnny, hey, Pastor Johnny, God is59:47righteous. Amen. I'm righteous. Amen.59:50No, I don't feel the same anymore. I'm a59:52new creature. I'm beautiful. How can59:55this happen? Through the gospel. Amen.1:00:00Through the gospel.1:00:02We're all family. Even if I don't talk1:00:03to you guys, sometimes I don't talk to1:00:05you guys for months. Please don't get it1:00:08twisted. We are still connected by the1:00:10blood. It's not like Serium and you know1:00:14her husband comes up to me every every1:00:16Sunday. I'm not even there every Sunday.1:00:18It's not like Zach, you know, even1:00:20though I didn't attend his wedding,1:00:22right? I was traveling. It's not like I1:00:24hate him. I'm happy to see him and1:00:26sister Jackie married. That's our what?1:00:28Our fifth CH wedding now. Sheesh.1:00:32Understand? And I didn't even ordain it.1:00:35I didn't even say, "Hey, you know what?1:00:36They need to get married." I didn't1:00:37actually ordain any of these Cth1:00:39marriages. Pastor was like, "Okay, they1:00:41need to be together." And they probably1:00:42love each other. Chris is next, right?1:00:45Portland. Portland. Amen. What's so1:00:50beautiful is there's so many we have cth1:00:52babies now. How? Because of the gospel.1:00:56Right now, some of you guys are like,1:00:58"Oh, that means I'm going to get married1:01:00here." No, no, no, no. I'm not1:01:01guaranteeing that,1:01:04right? I'm saying we're all married to1:01:06the gospel. We're all married and1:01:08intertwined through the blood. Amen.1:01:12Understand? People who aren't looking1:01:14for husbands and wives get married.1:01:16Michael Bahhata Pauline, right? They got1:01:20married recently, right? I'm not there.1:01:24And maybe they don't care that I'm1:01:25there, right? Maybe they're like, I1:01:27don't want Johnny there. Just kidding.1:01:28Those are my thoughts, right? I'm sure1:01:30they would want me there. Amen. They1:01:33invite me, but I'm not able to make it1:01:35out there. Amen. But does that mean that1:01:37I'm not one-hearted with them? Does that1:01:39mean I'm not happy that they found their1:01:41spiritual wives and their husbands? How1:01:44thankful am I truly to be like, "Wow."1:01:49And when you guys see this, don't get1:01:51jelly. Don't be peanut butter and1:01:53jealous. Instead, go, "Wow, God, he1:01:58really, really, really loves these1:02:00people and he will provide." [snorts]1:02:03I'm saying this not to edify them. They1:02:06weren't looking for it either. When1:02:09you're not looking and you're just1:02:10preaching the gospel, you think God is1:02:11just going to leave you alone. Sister1:02:13Madori too prayed for years for a church1:02:17to be planted in Perth and sure enough1:02:19there's one there now. She's so happy1:02:22with her husband Roy. Understand? She'll1:02:25sit there in the dark 2 3 4 a.m. You1:02:28know, sad because she wants to, you1:02:31know, be part of a congregation. But God1:02:33cultivated her heart enough. Guys, there1:02:36are people here I was talking to about1:02:38JR who wake up at 3:00 in the morning.1:02:40We have Alex in here from, you know, my1:02:43youngster essentially, right? Loves on1:02:46me onehearted as well. Even though we1:02:48don't speak all the time, he also1:02:50listens in and right really really tunes1:02:54in even though it's late, right? Or or I1:02:57would should I say early. Amen. For him1:03:00in in in Melbourne, Australia. Am I1:03:04saying this to boast? Yeah, I am. About1:03:07God. Look at what God can do. How can we1:03:11through social media that everyone's1:03:13using for twerk videos and and lust and1:03:17and and spewing hatred and the left1:03:19fighting the right and politics and all1:03:21that, right? How can we use that medium1:03:25to spread the gospel and build a true1:03:28biblical connection like this? You tell1:03:31me. Understand? It's only through the1:03:34gospel, brothers and sisters. There's1:03:36many disciples here. All of you guys are1:03:39in some way, shape, or we have people in1:03:40Africa. We have people all around the1:03:43world. Cape Town, South Africa,1:03:46Philippines, like I say, Ukraine,1:03:50Ireland, Ireland.1:03:52Look at the moon, right? You guys are1:03:54like, "Look at the moon." [laughter]1:03:57It's like I don't know how to do it.1:03:59Irish accynic but uh right it's very1:04:04beautiful of so many people look at God1:04:08brothers and sisters I'm coming to1:04:09Sydney don't worry guys I'm that's what1:04:12I was talking to JR and his family about1:04:14today I'm coming to Sydney don't worry1:04:17I'm coming very soon we're talking to1:04:19churches and stuff like that we're we1:04:22just hired on a live events coordinator1:04:25thank God we're testing her and we're1:04:27going to see she's going to go and start1:04:28getting these places for us so we can1:04:30go. Amen. Right? Look at God. You know,1:04:34he's working. And I'm sharing this with1:04:37you guys. Why? Because the God that1:04:39works in my life, brothers and sisters,1:04:42he can work in your life, too. Please1:04:45don't ever think that God is limited.1:04:47Please don't ever think, "Yeah, because1:04:50Johnny's, you know, surrendered."1:04:53I'm not surrendered, brothers and1:04:55sisters.1:04:56But the beautiful thing is Jesus1:04:58surrendered for me. I'm not a person who1:05:02can change. But I'm so so thankful that1:05:05Jesus changed me. People think, "Oh,1:05:09you're only getting blessings because1:05:11you're obedient." You know what's funny?1:05:13I used to think the same. Ah, I could1:05:15never be like Pastor John. I could never1:05:17be like Pastor Kim. Understand? Uh,1:05:21Pastor John and Pastor Kim can preach1:05:23the gospel really well. I'll never be on1:05:24their level. Pastor John also tells me,1:05:27"Bro, I learn a lot from you." What?1:05:29You'll learn a lot from me. You've been1:05:31saved way longer than me. Right. Pastor1:05:34Kim, too. I learned from Brother John.1:05:36What? How can you learn from me? He says1:05:39it. All these people need to learn from1:05:41him. Look at him. Look at his views.1:05:44In a year and some change, he got 1.51:05:47million people just on Instagram, right?1:05:50Altogether, 4 million across the1:05:52platforms. I'm sorry, but all these1:05:56people making fun of them, but fun of1:05:57him. He's gangster. He's like, what can1:05:59they have? What do they have to show for1:06:01it? What are they going to say? Oh,1:06:04followers don't mean anything. Yeah, but1:06:07can you actually do what he's doing?1:06:09Then you do it then. If they don't mean1:06:10it, then you do it then. Oh, yeah. You1:06:14know, yeah, Floyd Mayweather's, you1:06:17know, unh Yeah, he's undefeated, but he1:06:19was scared. You know, he don't know how1:06:21to box. It's like, bro, bro went up with1:06:23the greats and went like 50 and0, you1:06:26know? Come on, man. Put some respect on1:06:29people's name respectfully. You know1:06:31what I mean? Right. Like, he beat he1:06:34beat the game, dude. He played the game.1:06:36The game didn't play him. He didn't get1:06:38CTE.1:06:40He didn't walk away with brain damage.1:06:42Like, straight up, he walked away rich.1:06:45He walked away smart, bro. In the same1:06:48way, we preach the gospel. Pastor Kim1:06:52said, you know what he said, brothers1:06:54and sisters, all of us, you know what1:06:55your real identity is? Don't listen to1:06:58what your brain tells you. I'm going to1:07:00tell you what the Bible says about you.1:07:01I'm going to tell you what Pastor Kim1:07:03also says. Did you guys know that in1:07:06this [snorts] world, what would you say1:07:07in this world is the is is probably top1:07:11five most highly respected profession?1:07:15Let me ask you guys, what is is a very1:07:17respected, well-endowed, well-renowned1:07:21Okay, good. Doctor, doctor, surgeon,1:07:23right? Look at how smart you guys are.1:07:25Doctor, why though? Can I Can I ask you1:07:27guys why? Let's say doctor. Why doctors1:07:30and why surgeons? Why? Why are they so1:07:32respected? They save lives. Amen. Right?1:07:37That's what it really comes. They don't1:07:38it it doesn't care. It doesn't matter1:07:39how much they study. If they study and1:07:41they can't save a life, then they're1:07:42they're they're a quack because they1:07:44save lives. Now, brothers and sisters,1:07:47they can only save a physical life. Do1:07:51you know what we are? Do you know what1:07:53we're actually doing? Put some respect1:07:55on our names. We are saving people1:07:58spiritually. We are the best. Not1:08:02because we're good, but because of1:08:04Jesus. Do you understand what I'm1:08:05saying? What good is it to save1:08:07somebody's soul? I'm not disrespecting1:08:09doctors. cuz there's some in here. But1:08:11what I'm saying is how much more so if1:08:14they're getting that respected, how much1:08:17more so when we're actually saving1:08:18people's souls. That's what Pastor Kim1:08:20told me. Johnny, don't think less of1:08:21yourself. You are a spiritual doctor.1:08:25You are saving souls through Jesus1:08:28Christ and bringing them to God. Don't1:08:31talk bad about yourself. You know, man,1:08:35I cried when he said that to me. Yeah, I1:08:38don't have a job. Yeah, I'm stupid, you1:08:41know. Sure, I may not have that much1:08:43money. Absolutely. But we save a soul,1:08:46don't we? And all of you guys, too. Your1:08:50soul is saved, too. Amen. Your soul is1:08:53saved, too, because of the gospel. We1:08:56have the gospel that saves people's1:08:58souls. That's why exactly the angels1:09:01cheer for us. They cheer for us,1:09:03brothers and sisters. How thankful they1:09:06cheer because they can't save a soul.1:09:10They can't be out here. How you1:09:12understand? They won't preach the gospel1:09:13so bad. They can't do it. That's why it1:09:16says we are greater than the angels.1:09:18We're not greater because we're more1:09:20powerful because we can save souls and1:09:23they can't really do that. They can1:09:25nurture souls and help them. Sure. But1:09:27that's why they rejoice. Yeah.1:09:30Understand? Heck yeah. Came to God. Yes.1:09:33Efanico, Jr. Noah, Aaron, Ana,1:09:37Champagne,1:09:39St. Right. Joshua,1:09:42Enzo, Estraa,1:09:44Elena, Dearis, Leo, Jordy, Zanth,1:09:49Jovan, Anna, Kari, Cassandra,1:09:54Raul. Raul is like, "Don't forget me."1:09:56Put his name up. Raul. Yeah, I got you.1:09:58Raul. Okay. Raul,1:10:01Elanoa,1:10:02Nikki, sis, Chris, Tanya, Nelly,1:10:08Sugar, Sugar, Spice, and everything1:10:11nice. All of you guys receive salvation.1:10:14Amen, right, guys? Make sense? How1:10:18beautiful is that? Brooklyn, Blake,1:10:22all receive salvation.1:10:25Amen. Beautiful. How beautiful is that?1:10:29Guys, you got to think about that. You1:10:32got to think about that. Yeah, you have1:10:35li things that are are are hurting in1:10:38your life. Sure, but that doesn't mean1:10:40anything. You still have salvation. You1:10:42could be over big brain and all that.1:10:44Guys, listen to me carefully. Do you1:10:46know who you are? You are the precious1:10:49children of God. Don't ever let anyone,1:10:52including me, tell you otherwise.1:10:55Precious children of God. to the Jew1:10:58first and the Greek. There is no Jew1:11:01neither Gentile. There is no man nor1:11:04woman. For we are one under Christ. Do1:11:07you understand guys? We are children of1:11:11God. No matter how much you lack in1:11:13shortcoming, there is no lacking1:11:15Christian. We are only abundant because1:11:18of Jesus. Yes, we will get chastised.1:11:21Yes, we will fall again. understand that1:11:24we are kings and princes and princesses,1:11:30royalty,1:11:32fellow citizens in heaven. It says we1:11:34have crowns. It says co-airs of the1:11:37throne. So, you know, when a prince or a1:11:40king rides a horse through the mud and1:11:42they fall off of the horse and they get1:11:45dirty in the mud, does that make them1:11:48less of a king? Does that affect their1:11:51kingship?1:11:52No. Right. Even though they fell, what1:11:55is their status? King, prince, princess.1:11:59A $100 bill can be rolled up, spat out,1:12:05stepped on, beaten up, even ripped. Does1:12:08the $100 bill lose its value? Take it to1:12:10the bank. I guarantee you it's still1:12:12going to be $100. Now, how that's these1:12:15are material titles and accolades.1:12:19Imagine spiritual ones that God himself1:12:22gave you. God himself gave you. You1:12:25think that's so easily squandered by1:12:27even something like sin. Stop playing.1:12:30Do you understand what I'm saying? You1:12:32guys are children of God. I don't care1:12:36if you're employed, unemployed, lustful1:12:38or not, prideful or not, angry or not.1:12:41Oh, you're the righteous children of1:12:43God. And I'm going to tell you guys1:12:45something. God is happy with you. Do you1:12:49understand? God is happy with you. How1:12:52do we know this? How do we know God is1:12:55happy? Am I just a motivational speaker?1:12:58We think God is tolerating us. We think,1:13:02you know, he's waiting for us to1:13:03improve. We think he's watching us1:13:07nervously, right? But let me show you1:13:10guys something. A chapter that a lot of1:13:12you guys probably don't really read,1:13:14okay? Okay, it's a prophet who speaks1:13:16about this and his name is Zephaniah.1:13:20Let me show you guys. Zephaniah,1:13:24look at what he says. No, read it. Don't1:13:26take my word. I'm not a BSER here. I1:13:28don't fluff feathers. You guys know me.1:13:30I'm telling you what the Bible says. The1:13:33Lord thy God in the midst of thee is1:13:35mighty. So, he's mighty. He will save,1:13:38which he already has. He will rejoice1:13:40over thee with joy. If he saved you,1:13:42he's already rejoicing with what? With1:13:46joy. He will rest in his love. He will1:13:49joy over thee with singing. When God1:13:52looks at you, he joys over you with1:13:55singing. Understand? How beautiful is1:13:58that? You don't need to wake up every1:14:01morning thinking that you need to make1:14:04God happy. You know why? Because he1:14:06already is. You wake up because he's1:14:11happy. Do you understand? God is not1:14:14happy because you're strong. God is1:14:17happy. Why? Because of Jesus and his1:14:19sufficiency. It's so funny. Zephaniah1:14:233:17.1:14:25When you just replace Zephaniah with1:14:28Matthew 3:17.1:14:30Isn't this kind of crazy? Watch. I'll1:14:33show you. God is so meticulous. And lo,1:14:36a voice from heaven saying, "This is my1:14:37beloved son in whom I am well pleased,1:14:40very happy." Why is he happy? Because of1:14:44Jesus. If you are in Christ, the1:14:47pleasure the father has in the son is1:14:50the pleasure he has towards you. That is1:14:52a positional pleasure. Understand?1:14:55That's why it's Zephaniah 3:17,1:14:58Matthew 3:17. Do you get it? You may not1:15:02be happy with yourself. You may not be1:15:03happy with your circumstance, but guys,1:15:06I know God is happy with you. Why?1:15:09Because of the Bible. Do you guys1:15:11understand? Amen. Right? That's the1:15:14gospel, guys. Notice again in Zephaniah.1:15:18Notice what he says, how he says things.1:15:21It says, "The Lord, right, thy God in1:15:25the midst of thee is mighty. He will1:15:27save. He will rejoice over thee with1:15:28joy. He will rest in his love. He will1:15:32he will joy over thee with singing.1:15:35Notice how this verse what it doesn't1:15:36have. It doesn't say he will rejoice1:15:40over thee with joy after you get it1:15:42together. He'll rejoice over thee with1:15:45joy when you stop struggling. He will1:15:47rejoice over thee with joy once you're1:15:50more spiritual. He'll rejoice when you1:15:53can provide for your children better. He1:15:55will rejoice when you will love your1:15:57parents more and when you forgive1:15:59people. He just says, "I'm mighty."1:16:02Meaning, I'm strong. I save. I rejoice1:16:05over thee. I make you rest in my love.1:16:09And not only that, I'll sing over you.1:16:11Man, I can't wait to hear God sing. If1:16:13you guys think people can sing, amazing.1:16:15Imagine God opening his mouth and1:16:17singing. The heavens roar and tremble,1:16:20right? I can't wait to hear him. He's1:16:22going to be like, "What can wash away?"1:16:25I'm like, "Oh my gosh, pierce me to the1:16:27soul." understand it's going to be1:16:30amazing. No, genuinely guys, jokes1:16:33aside, bro got that base, right?1:16:37Falsettto,1:16:39just kidding, right guys? Genuinely1:16:42though. Genuinely though. Is God happy1:16:45with you guys? Is he more Is he happy1:16:47with you guys? Yeah, he is. Does he1:16:51accept you guys? Right. Does he How does1:16:55he accept you? He has made you1:16:57acceptable. How? In this verse, to the1:17:01praise of the glory of his grace,1:17:03wherein he hath made us accepted in the1:17:06beloved. Does he accept you, brothers1:17:09and sisters? It doesn't say barely1:17:11tolerated. It doesn't say when you get1:17:13better, you're accepted. It doesn't say1:17:15you're allowed and on probation, though.1:17:18Means fully welcomed, fully accepted. He1:17:21didn't accept you because you cleaned1:17:23yourself up. He accepted you by grace1:17:26through faith in Jesus Christ.1:17:28Understand? Amen. Even Psalm 103 here,1:17:33right? A lot of you guys have this1:17:35impostor syndrome with God. We think,1:17:38"Ah, if God really knew what I was1:17:39wrestling with, he wouldn't feel the1:17:41same. Ah, God really wouldn't love me1:17:44cuz I'm this, this, and that." Watch,1:17:45read it carefully. Like as a father pity1:17:48his pityeth his children, so he pies us.1:17:51So the Lord pityth them that fear him,1:17:53respect him, for he knoweth our frame,1:17:57foundation. He rememberth that we are1:18:00dust.1:18:01I'm so glad. I'm so glad God remembers1:18:05that I'm nothing but dust.1:18:08I'm so glad. I'm so glad, man. He says,1:18:13"You are dust, so to dust you shall1:18:16return." God doesn't look at us and go,1:18:19"When is Johnny going to get over this?"1:18:22He knew it when he chose us. It doesn't1:18:24annoy him. It doesn't shock him. It1:18:27doesn't reduce his joy. He knew.1:18:31Do you understand, brothers and sisters?1:18:34Do you understand? God is so beautiful.1:18:37You mean to tell me he doesn't love you?1:18:40Well, these words say something else.1:18:43God knows our frame, foundation, who we1:18:46are at the core and that we are nothing1:18:48but dust. Man, that gives me so much1:18:51hope every day. Do you understand? That1:18:54gives me so much hope every day. Go,1:18:55dang, God knows, man. He loves me. And1:18:58you guys woke up in the morning, right?1:19:01So, what does Lamentations tell us? 3:231:19:05uh 3:22 to 3:23. Let's see here. No, I1:19:09don't want NIV versions. I rebuke thee,1:19:12Satan. Rebuke thee, Satan. Sorry, guys.1:19:15Trying to give me NIV fu. Play with me.1:19:19All right. Ready? Watch. Watch. Here we1:19:20go. Here we go. It is of the Lord's1:19:23mercies that we are not consumed. So,1:19:26we're not consumed. Why? Because of1:19:28God's mercy. Because his compassions1:19:31fail not. Look at this. God is1:19:34compassionate and it'll never fail. that1:19:37every that are they are new every1:19:40morning. Great is thy faithfulness, God.1:19:44Every morning he gives us what?1:19:46Compassion and mercy. So did you wake up1:19:49today? That means God is happy with you.1:19:52He loves you and he's merciful towards1:19:55you. You're not happy with yourself. I1:19:57get it. You're not angry with yourself.1:20:00I get I mean you're not, you know,1:20:01satisfied with yourself. I know. I know.1:20:03Me neither. I I think I can do better,1:20:05too. Understand? I think I can do1:20:07better. But what I'm so thankful about1:20:11is that God is happy with me and he's1:20:14happy with you guys. Is that God is1:20:17merciful with us and God knows that I'm1:20:20dirt and he knows that I'll return to my1:20:22dirt. But it's okay. That he still1:20:25rejoices over us. Why? Because we have1:20:28salvation. That is why we need1:20:30salvation.1:20:32Cuz you can't do it. You failed. I1:20:34failed, guys. Even I fail. I fail daily.1:20:38Understand? I fail daily. Even as a1:20:41pastor, I can't nurture you guys. Well,1:20:43like I said, I wish I could spend more1:20:45time with JR and nurture his children1:20:47and be there for him when he's alone and1:20:49sad and struggling. And I wish I could1:20:51be there for you guys when you're alone,1:20:53sad, and struggling. But I can't. That's1:20:56how you know I failed. But what I do do1:20:58is go to God. I go, "God, please help1:21:01them. Please help my brothers and1:21:03sisters here. They're not my children.1:21:06They're your children. They're not my1:21:08congregation. It's your congregation.1:21:11These are not my brothers and sisters.1:21:12These are your family members. Do you1:21:15understand? You guys get it, guys? Okay.1:21:19My love is limited. God is unlimited. No1:21:22matter what happens with you guys, God1:21:24loves you. God cares about you. He wants1:21:28you and he chose you from the dawn of1:21:32time. Creation from before even1:21:34creation. He chose you guys. He knew all1:21:37of us. He knew we were going to have all1:21:39our little accents and our accidents and1:21:41all of our blemishes and all of our1:21:44gifts, too. And he still said, "That's1:21:47my son and that's my daughter." I'm1:21:50proud of you guys because God's proud of1:21:53you guys. Genuinely, I'm proud to say1:21:56that you guys are my family. I'm proud1:22:00to say that, wow, these people receive1:22:02salvation.1:22:04What can beat that, guys? What can beat1:22:07salvation? Can a $100 million beat1:22:10salvation? Can your kids going to a nice1:22:13college beat salvation if their souls1:22:16burn in hell? Nothing beats salvation.1:22:19And guess what? You think you're1:22:21unsuccessful? You are the most1:22:23successful people in this world truly1:22:27because of the gospel and I'm so1:22:30thankful. You guys are rich. Rich in1:22:34spirit. Do you understand?1:22:37Rich in spirit. Understand? Right. How1:22:42beautiful is that? Beautiful.1:22:45Amen.1:22:46Amen. Yes, I can pray for you, sister.1:22:50But the Holy Spirit, Romans 8:26, also1:22:52prays for you and it guides you and it1:22:56leads you. Guys,1:22:58nothing in your life is a problem to1:23:02God. All it is is information. Just take1:23:05it in as that and go, "Okay, God, this1:23:07is some things that are happening, but1:23:10you're going to take care of it. You1:23:12move with that heart. I promise you, God1:23:16has to work. I promise you God will1:23:20work. I promise you that's how I live1:23:24every single day, every single minute is1:23:27God, you have to help me. Understood?1:23:30Make sense? Amen. I'm very thankful for1:23:34you guys. It's late here. I got to get1:23:36to sleep. I appreciate you all. All1:23:39right. Okay, guys. Have a good night.1:23:42Take care, everybody. Peace.
