But make sure okay that when 0:50you're asking your questions you guys 0:51are are ready to also be listening 0:54because I may answer another person's 0:56question by 0:59you know answering your question right 1:02can you explain the difference in why 1:05people get confused with growing in 1:06faith and sanctification being a process 1:09yes because most of the time people look 1:11at themselves as the spiritual markers 1:13for their growth. What I mean by that is 1:17they look to themselves. Oh, I'm 1:20sanctified or being sanctified because I 1:22don't watch as much porn. Oh, I'm being 1:25sanctified because I don't once struggle 1:27as much as I used to. So, they judge 1:29based off of that. But that in itself is 1:31a deception. You're never supposed to 1:34look at yourself and your spiritual 1:35growth and measure it by your own eyes 1:38and your own standard or your own 1:40feelings or your own thoughts. Do you 1:42guys understand what I'm saying? If you 1:44sit here and you think you're a good 1:47person and you're growing because you 1:49feel better and you think you're doing 1:51good, that's like a person who's saying 1:53I'm healthy and not going to the doctor 1:56to make sure that they're healthy. They 1:58may have cancer. Sometimes you don't 1:59even feel it, right? So why do people 2:03get confused in their growth and their 2:05spiritual walk is because they are 2:08literally judging it by themselves. They 2:11put on the stethoscope. They put on the,2:14you know, heart monitor and they go,2:17"Hey, I feel fine. I my heart sounds 2:21good." And then they diagnose 2:22themselves. Spirituality is never 2:25diagnosed by a person. It's diagnosed by 2:27the Bible, right? Which is the word of 2:31God, which is the Holy Spirit, which is 2:32Jesus. It's never a feeling. But again,2:36because people trust their feelings un 2:39unbeknownst to them, they think that 2:42their feelings is the standard. Every 2:44one of us in here is guilty of this.2:46Respectfully,2:47we all think, "Well, I'm doing pretty 2:49well today. Oh, wow. I notice I'm not 2:51even getting as frustrated. Oh, wow. I'm 2:53not gossiping that much anymore. Oh,2:55wow. I'm not Then we start to think, oh 2:57yeah, see, I'm growing." So, what are 2:59you measuring your growth in? The word 3:02that says that your your growth is in 3:04his hands. that he will finish the work 3:06that he started or are you measuring 3:08based off of your eyes and what you see?3:10And if so, are we supposed to be walking 3:12by faith or by sight? Which one?3:15Probably by faith. So even when you 3:17don't see any growth, you're supposed to 3:19say, "Yes, I'm grown because God already 3:21said so." Understand guys? So that's the 3:25reason why people get misconstrued and 3:27things get convoluted as we say is 3:30because they're like, "Oh, I think I'm 3:32doing good. Amen. and I'm doing good. I 3:35don't think I'm doing good, then I'm not 3:36doing good. Okay, but where's Jesus and 3:39what he said about all of this? It 3:40sounds like it's Mises. Amen. Right.3:43Good morning, pastor. What Paul mean 3:45with Romans 2:4 that the goodness of God 3:47leadth thee to repentance? True 3:49repentance is not this self-righteous 3:53morality. True repentance is, you know,3:57God is actually putting us back and 4:01reestablishing us to the word of God,4:05right? So, metaninoia means to not only 4:08change your mind, but to transcend your 4:10mind. That is what repentance is, right?4:13It's not a guilt trip or emotional 4:15breakdown. It's a shift in who you trust 4:18and what you trust. So, you go from 4:20trusting yourself to trusting God.4:23That's what God's love does for us. The 4:26goodness of God is this, right? True 4:29repentance is not crying over your sins.4:32It's changing your mind about what sin 4:35is and where that sin was placed onto 4:38even when you've committed it. [snorts]4:40Right? So Paul's not saying you should 4:42be, you know, you should feel bad 4:44because God is kind, right? And you 4:46messed up with him. No, he's saying if 4:49you really understood his kindness, you 4:51would trust his kindness. You would stop 4:54trusting your kindness, your your good.4:57If you really understood his good, you 4:59would stop trusting that you're good 5:01altogether. Right? Understand? The 5:04kindness of God, the goodness of God 5:07doesn't lead you to fear. It leads you 5:09to faith. Right? And so, you have to 5:12surrender. Right? So yes, fear can 5:15temporarily restrain your behavior and 5:17stop you from doing certain things.5:19Sure, I agree. But that's temporary.5:21Only grace can transform the heart 5:23though, right? So yeah, this verse is 5:27specifically I would say to destroy the 5:31prideful and the performative, meaning 5:33the people who are, you know,5:35conditionally faith, conditionally works 5:38based, conditional faith, as we say,5:40right? Hey pastor, I'm I've been dealing 5:42with thoughts of being pathetic to be in 5:46the situation I'm in. How can I 5:49biblically get out of that by believing 5:51what's biblically said about you? Are 5:54you guys pathetic or are you guys 5:56prophetic? Right? Meaning prophets, you 6:00know, priests, high priest, right? The 6:03Bible says that in Hebrews that we are a 6:05royal priesthood is a royal person 6:08pathetic. No. So to people who have that 6:11heart posture, they need to believe the 6:14word of God. And what does the word of 6:16God say? It says that you're not 6:18pathetic. You're literally a 6:23preacher of God, a follower of God, a 6:26child of God. Right? Again, you'll only 6:28feel pathetic if you trust yourself.6:31Because God's not saying you're 6:32pathetic. God, yes, knew you were 6:34pathetic. Knew you were evil, but then 6:36sent Jesus, right? You have to believe 6:38in that. But to people who think they're 6:40all that, you have to believe you're 6:42pathetic. [laughter]6:43Understand? It's all heart posture, by 6:45the way. Right? It's all heart posture.6:48Okay, guys? So, to some people, you 6:51break them down. To some people, you 6:52build them up. How do you know? Heart 6:54posture. Heart posture. Okay. I 8:02searched in Google that ESV is most 8:04accurate. So, I'm going to spin every 8:06narrative to match that and I'm going to 8:10mold everything to match that. He was like he was like,8:41"Convince me that you're not all about 8:43the money. I mean, you already made your 8:44mind up." To him, I literally said, "I 8:46can't. I literally can't. If your mind 8:49is made up that Johnny Chang is a 8:51heretic and he's arrogant and he's 8:52stupid, he doesn't know what the hell 8:53he's talking about, what the hell am I 8:55going to do to change your mind?" Shine 8:57the light. How How often has that worked 8:59out? Honestly, guys, right, you guys can 9:02clearly see. I mean, anybody with half a 9:04brain can see I'm studied. I'll back 9:07everything up with scripture, quote it 9:08right off the top, and definitely more 9:10studied than people who challenge me,9:12right? It 9:36he's right there in your face showing 9:40you everything. Do you understand?9:41Right? Make sense? Understand? Don't go 11:00back to sleep. Don't go back to sleep.11:02This is what this lady was expl 11:04expressing to me, right? She says every 11:07night. And because of this, she gets 11:09only about 1 to 3 hours of sleep a 11:12night. Pretty pretty scary, right? Would 11:14you guys agree? But what I told her was 11:16if you think about it deeply, right?11:19Think about this deeply. Do you guys 11:21think that demons would just do that to 11:25you? Let's think about that for a 11:27second. You think a demon would go,11:30"Hey, let's just say, don't go to sleep.11:33Don't go to sleep. Don't go to sleep."11:35Yeah. Let's stop her from sleeping. No,11:39I think demons would be like, "Let's 11:40make her sleep forever and kill her."11:42Don't you think? I mean, honestly, don't 11:45you guys think you think they would just 11:46stand right there and and these are 11:49lustful demons, hateful demons,11:51murderous demons? You think they're 11:53going to sit there and go, "I'll let you 11:55slide tonight." Think about it. It's a 11:58It's a It's a simple like taking a 12:01little bit of thinking to realize,12:02right? Think about it, right? You think 12:05that they're just going to sit here and 12:06play with you? Honestly, sure they will.12:09I'm sure they will. But what do you 12:11think they ultimately want to do? They 12:12want to kill you. Why aren't they 12:14killing you? I'm just I'm just I'm just 12:16wondering. Why won't they kill you right 12:18then and there if they could? Do you 12:20know why? Cuz they can't understand.12:23They can't. You think they're going to 12:25sit there and just move things around in 12:26your house? Move stuff around or even 12:30snarl at you, which they will. I know 12:33you guys have seen that. Damn it. Yeah,12:35I know some of you guys experienced 12:37that. I've even experienced that. Right.12:39You think that's all they're going to do 12:41in Serio? You think that's it, right?12:43You think they're going to make a 12:44conjuring type of visit to you guys? You 12:47think they're just going to possess 12:49Annabelle the doll? They'll kill you.12:51Are you kidding me? Do you know who 12:53Satan is, guys? Satan has the power of 12:56death. He wants to kill you. Think about 12:59that for a second. Before you sit there 13:01and start crying and getting scared, do 13:04you know what the real power of a demon 13:05is? It's not death. Their real power is 13:09making you think that they have real 13:10power. That's their real power. The real 13:13power of Satan and any demon and his 13:16minions is that they make you think that 13:19they have power over you. So what do you 13:21do? I'm demonically oppressed right now.13:24Yes, got them. Distraction is deception.13:28Understand? Distraction is deception.13:31Rebuke them all they all you want. But 13:33how do you rebuke them though? In Jesus'13:36name, I rebuke you. Sure, it might work 13:38and they'll go away. Sure. But how do 13:40you make them fully go away? How do you 13:42become delivered by Colossians 1:13?13:46I'll show you. I'll show you right now.13:48Are you guys under demonic oppression 13:50and depression and possession? Let's 13:53see. So when you feel fear, what do 14:48you think that is? Let's think about 14:50that for a second. I'm sorry. We need to 14:52be chastised sometimes. Where do you 14:54think that's coming from? It's literally 14:56called a spirit of fear. And notice how 14:59he doesn't say given us fear. Fear is 15:02from the evil spirit, guys. That's what 15:05it means. Understand? Not a feeling of 15:08fear. It's a spiritual warfare. When you 15:12feel fear, where do you think it's 15:14wrong? I'm not saying it's wrong to feel 15:15fear. Okay? You have to know one thing.15:18Oh, I'm under attack right now. And 15:21those big brain people who have no 15:22lexiconical knowledge, but what does 15:25fear the Lord mean? Do you know how powerful 19:34you would be? No, but instead we are 19:37fear faith in [snorts] reverse. We don't 19:40we reverse our faith. And when you don't 19:42trust in God and you trust the person 19:44who brings darkness and fear, well,19:46guess what? Of course, you're going to 19:49be fearful. Understand? Shall inherit the 25:00kingdom of God. right there. People 25:03close the Bible and they say, "See,25:05Johnny, if you continue to do those 25:07things, you will not inherit the kingdom 25:12of God." And then I go, "Cume, my 25:15English not so good, but can you read 25:17the next chap, the next verse, please? I 25:20know my not so good, but can you read 25:24next verse, please?" And so, when you 25:26read the next verse, right, what does it 25:29say? It says it right here, right? 1 25:30Corinthians 16 6:11. Remember how we say 25:33but God, right?
