And like, yeah, got1:16good taste, you know. Yeah. Uh, but no,1:17they have no idea. They have no idea who1:19they're sitting next to the entire time.1:20>> Wow.1:21>> Yeah. I'm trying to keep it that way.1:22Like, you know, it's like [laughter]1:23Santa Claus, like, you know. Yeah. Yeah.1:25Do they look at it and go, "Hey, that1:26kid looks like us."1:28>> No, no, not yet. [laughter] Not yet.1:30>> Actually, my oldest actually thinks that1:32he's Kevin. And I'll ask him. I say,1:34"Look, do you uh do you remember going1:35down the stairs on a sled?" He's like,1:36"Yeah."1:38[laughter]1:38>> Said, "Do you remember setting up all1:39those traps?" He's like, "I sure do."1:41Liar. Liar. Do you like your shoes? This1:44paid for your shoes. You know,1:46>> this is like most kids just have that1:47whole Santa thing. You've got this extra1:50secret around the holiday.1:51>> I'm trying to bottle it up for as long1:53as I can. come out. You know, he just uh1:55we were looking at a family photo. He1:57wanted to see me and my siblings. And so1:59we were looking at it and he immediately2:00just turned right to me and he goes,2:01"Who's that kid? He looks just like2:03Kevin." [laughter]2:05>> Like, "Here's your aunt over here."2:08>> That kind of thing. But, you know, they2:10um they were uh talking to their little2:11cousin. She's like 5 years old,2:13something like that. And they were2:13saying, "Tonight we're going to watch2:15Kevin." And uh she turned to me, she2:17goes, "You're Kevin." I said, "Shut up.2:18[laughter]2:20>> You're Kevin." And2:21>> don't make Uncle Kevin mad.2:23>> Well, because I want that moment. I want2:24that moment where we're sitting on the2:25couch and you know they're just kind of2:26watching the movie and they go2:28>> I don't think this happen.2:30>> Uhhuh. Yeah. This whole time.2:31>> I think you're going to have to be more2:33active than that because they're going2:35to like I think you might have to have2:36like Joe Peshy and Daniel Stern bang on2:38the door of the house and drag you out2:41or something like that.2:42>> Oh yeah. Yeah. No, I'm sure uh you know2:44Joe Peshi's 82. I'm sure he can still2:45take a fall.2:46>> What is it um what is it like to work2:48How old were you when you shot Home2:50Alone?2:50>> I was nine. to work with a2:52>> Yeah. I am wonder how old I am now2:55>> with Joe Peshy when you were nine years2:57old.2:58>> Oh, he was, you know, he was a We didn't2:59really work a lot together on the first3:01one. If you kind of think like they're3:03kind of over there doing their thing,3:04I'm over there doing my thing.3:05>> Oh, okay.3:06>> But uh um but yeah, no, we did work3:08together. Uh it was like it was like the3:10last day of work and we're doing that3:12scene where it's uh you know, they they3:13catch me. I'm in the neighbor's house3:14and they catch me and they put me up on3:16the little hook and they uh you know3:18they're gonna do like you know we were3:20waiting they were setting up the cameras3:21and the lights and all those things and3:22he's like uh he turns to Daniel and me3:24he goes you guys want to run lines and I3:26was like yeah yeah sure I don't have any3:28lines in the scene so have at the3:31so I'm dangling there and uh uh he goes3:34uh you know gets to the part I'm going3:35to bite each one of these fingers off3:36one at a time and um yeah he actually3:39bit me3:41you did you did you see his face he's3:43really grizzly is old and stuff like3:44that. And you should have seen it. He3:45bit me and I went and he went3:48because not only did he bite a3:49nine-year-old, now you bite a v a3:51vulnerable nine-year-old.3:53>> Yeah. No, you can't bite a 9-year-old.3:54>> He also bit a coworker and HR is going3:56to be all over him.3:57>> There was was no HR back then. So, you3:59could bite all you wanted back then.4:01>> But yeah, no, he's very sweet. But yes,4:02I still have a little scar right there4:03if you4:04>> For real. Is that really a Joe Peshy4:06bite scar?4:07>> Just in case they need to identify the4:08body. I GOT THE DENTAL.4:09>> WOW. YEAH.4:10>> Did they give him a rabies test or4:12anything afterwards?4:13>> Well, no, I didn't squeal on him. I4:14think that's why he liked me, you know.4:15Yeah.4:16>> How much of the stunt work did you do in4:18that movie?4:19>> Oh, uh, none. So, I was nine. Yes. Okay.4:21Insurance, you know.4:22>> So, they have somebody playing you?4:25>> Yes.4:26>> Is it an adult? Is it a kid they don't4:28like as much or value? [laughter]4:31>> So, here's how it went down. Uh, um,4:33I'm, you know, doing wardrobe tests and4:35all that kind of stuff. So, I'm changing4:36into different outfits. And so, you4:38know, I'm going out there like, you4:39know, checking out, you know, just4:41seeing if they like it or whatever. And4:42I bumped into this person and there he4:44is. He's dressed exactly like me,4:46haircut and all that stuff. I'm like,4:47"Oh, oh, hey." Like, "Who are you?" He4:50goes, "I'm Larry."4:52"Oh, uh, oh, hi, Larry. Uh, what do you4:54do here?" He goes, "I'm your stunt4:55double." [laughter] And there's like4:57this awkward silence and finally goes,4:59"How old do you think I am?" And I know5:02it's a trick question. It's loaded. I'm5:03nine, so he's much older. I'm like 13.5:07and he's like, "You're a funny kid." So,5:08we didn't work together a lot, but what5:10ended up happening was uh we'd watch5:11these dailies. It was the stuff we shot5:12the day before and there was this scene5:14where uh uh Kevin's climbing the shelf5:16in and Buzz's room and it go all falls5:18down. And so, there's the first take and5:20it all falls down. It looks really5:22vicious. It looks painful. Uh and uh uh5:25they're like, "Oh, something didn't fall5:26right." You know, the shelf didn't fall5:27right. So, they had to do it again. So,5:28they do it again and like not good5:30enough. And they do it again and they do5:32it again and they do it again. And I5:34finally I go, "Please take it easy on5:36Larry. HE'S ONLY 13 YEARS OLD."5:38[laughter]5:43[applause]5:43>> When you um when you are suddenly very5:46very famous at that age, are you able to5:49go anywhere? Do you wear disguises to5:51just go out in public? How does it work?5:54>> You can't really put on a fake mustache,5:55you know, when you're nine. It just5:56doesn't quite work. No. Um No, it just5:58happened really fast. It was just um you6:01know, one day I was like a neighborhood6:02kid. Like I was shooting um uh My Girl6:04in Orlando, Florida, right? Uh not the6:06bees. No. [laughter]6:08But um but uh and I there was a6:11community center there and I play video6:13games with the kids and we'd ride bikes6:15and then I remember after that movie6:16came out um I was watching TV and then6:19the window right next to it. I just saw6:21like some heads pop up and I run over6:23like what's that? And it was a bunch of6:24these kids running away and I'm like I6:26know those guys like you know they used6:28to be my friends. We used to ride bikes6:29together and stuff like that. I go oh6:30rules have changed now. life is6:32different, you know. Yeah. So,6:33>> that's a bummer.6:34>> Yeah. But I'm also like, you know, I'm a6:35delicate snowflake, you know. I'm very6:37unique, you know. Yeah. Yeah. I'm a very6:39peerless person,6:40>> you know. Um, uh, so then you took a6:42break for like 10 years when you were a6:44teenager or so. And at that time, were6:47you able then to integrate like get a6:49summer job like a regular kid, do the6:52normal things.6:53>> I mean, I just wanted to go to school,6:54man. I wanted to hang out with people my6:55own age. I mean, I was always working6:57with adults. I mean, also because when I6:58was acting, I wasn't a part of like a7:00Goonies or a monster squad or anything7:02like that. I was never a part of like an7:03ensemble of kids or anything.7:04>> Right. Your family abandoned you twice.7:06>> True. Yes.7:08>> Twice. That's the worst part.7:09>> Arrest should have been made in that7:11second movie. [laughter]7:13>> Um, but uh yeah. So, no, I just wanted7:14to go to school, you know, I wanted to7:16kiss girls and go to parties and things7:18like that. So, that's how I spent a big7:20chunk of it. And then, you know, you7:22start thinking about what you want to do7:23with the rest of your life. And it's7:24funny because I never pursued this7:26really. It was, you know, I never was7:28tugging on my parents sleeve going,7:29"Mommy, Tatty, I want to be an actor." I7:32also wasn't British when I was a kid.7:33>> Yeah.7:34>> That's true. I know that about you.7:36>> Yeah.7:37>> Uh um but uh no, it was something that7:39found me. Um and uh I'm kind of blessed7:42that way when I was kind of thinking7:43about what I want to do with my life.7:44And I was like, "Yeah, like how like7:46fortunate I am that I I can find a line7:48of work that found me that like, you7:50know, it's, you know, feels like it's7:51like my my calling and it found me at7:53such a young age." So I had to kind of7:55come back around to it though. That was7:56the thing. I had to walk away from it7:57because it was kind of just it was it7:59was a lot. It was8:00>> Well, you are are back in the middle of8:01it. You got Fallout, you got Zootopia 2.8:03We'll talk more with McCauley Kulkin8:05when we come back after8:09animals.8:13Filthy animals.8:16But what separates man from beast?8:21His thirst for pleasure.8:24His lust for pain again8:29begun8:32scrotum8:36[screaming]8:39available at TJ Maxx. I know8:55it's like a big secret, right?8:56>> Yeah. Like not much to be honest. Like8:58Yeah. Yeah. It's a you know kind of a9:00it's a very secretive show like Yeah. I9:01actually never even read any of the9:03scripts from it. They kind of just like9:05say Yeah. You like I look cool. It's a9:07really cool outfit. Uh we're going to9:09New Vegas for all you knowers out there.9:10Hell Kaiser.9:12>> Yeah. [laughter] Uh uh and uh Yeah. But9:14there's not a lot I can talk about, you9:16know. That's why, you know, I don't have9:17any clips from the show. where we have9:19we have home home.9:21>> You will admit that you will work with9:23Walton Gogggins.9:25>> Yes, this is the second time I worked9:26>> for the second time.9:27>> Yeah. Yeah. I worked with him on9:28Righteous Gemstones. I I played Harman.9:31>> That's right. [cheering]9:31>> Yeah.9:32>> And [applause]9:34you um And is he when he's in when he's9:37like in all like made up, is that only9:39scary on TV or is it actually scary when9:41you're on the set?9:42>> He's very method. I heard that about9:44him, you know. Yeah. So, when I first9:45showed up, uh, you know, he's all Billy9:47baby Billied up, you know, and he's kind9:48of walking through, you know, he's just9:50[laughter] doing this like he's just,9:51you know, and I, uh, and I go up to him9:53kind of just like, "Hey, I'm Mac. I'm9:54going to be your scene partner today and9:56stuff." And I've, you know, got about9:58that much through it. And he WAS LIKE,10:01"OH, OKAY. NICE, you know, nice to meet10:02you, too." Uh, but [laughter] I I heard10:04that about him. I I don't take it10:06personally kind of thing. Uh, because it10:08got to about lunchtime, we're smoking10:10cigarettes together, you know, sharing10:11stories about our kids and stuff, you10:12know. So, it's the same thing on on10:14this. It's um they they had all these10:16tents were shooting in the desert and I10:18was just kind of pacing going over my10:19stuff and all of a sudden I walk by, you10:21know, this empty uh you know, tent a10:22couple times. I walk by and all of a10:23sudden he's there like, "Oh my10:25goodness." And he just like he just10:26looked at me. I was like, "Okay, Coupe,10:29like whatever [laughter]10:31whatever you want, man." You know, but10:32yeah, like I said, he has a he has a10:34method and uh yeah, you have to respect10:36it. Give him space or he'll growl at10:37you, you know.10:38>> That's what they say about him. Yeah.10:41you [laughter] um you and your wife are10:43both in Zootopia 2. You do voices in10:45Zootopia 2. Now, did the kids [cheering]10:48>> I assume the kids have seen that.10:50[applause] Do they know that that's you?10:52>> We told them, but it doesn't really it10:54doesn't really compute. I mean, cuz10:56we're take we're taking a bite of the10:57forbidden fruit. We're playing brother10:59and sister.11:00>> Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.11:02>> And by that I mean we play cats. So,11:04they're having a hard time reconciling11:06that, circling that square, you know.11:07Yeah.11:08>> Is it true that you do not drive? that11:10you do not even have a driver's license.11:13>> Yeah, I'm 45. I've never had a driver's11:15license.11:16>> Well, I'm a New Yorker, so that's that's11:18normal, but I'm not a New Yorker11:19anymore, you know. So,11:20>> you live here now?11:21>> Yeah, I live here now.11:22>> How long have you been here?11:23>> A long time. Way too long, you know,11:25like nearly a decade.11:27>> Is there a plan to get a driver's11:28license?11:29>> Okay, so here's the thing. A couple11:30years ago, Brennon and I had a New11:31Year's resolution. All right. Uh uh I11:33was going to get a driver's license and11:34she was going to hire a wedding planner.11:36I'm not married yet. So, so hence no11:39license. How about that?11:40>> So, two years now. You still haven't11:42Have you taken any lessons? Have you11:44tried?11:44>> Uh, you know, she tried one time uh11:47>> to teach you?11:47>> Yeah. She was jumping out of her skin11:49like, you know, just like, you know,11:50trying to teach a 45-year-old man how to11:52drive. Her brand new car, too. It's11:55like, no.11:56>> So, she drives everywhere you guys go?11:58>> Essentially, I mean, I I'm mobile, you12:01know? I I have all kinds of apps and12:02things. Look, don't get me wrong, I'm12:04But but12:05>> but if there was an issue,12:07>> yes, I I I can physically I know how to12:09do it. I Yeah, if you were bleeding to12:11death, I could drive you to the12:12hospital.12:12>> Could you?12:12>> Yes. I mean, I I'd probably still call12:14an Uber, BUT [laughter]12:18[applause]12:19>> we got to get you in behind the wheel.12:22[laughter]12:23>> Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, no. So, I'll do it12:25someday.
