0:00one of the most freeing things I ever0:02learned was that no one was coming to0:05save me and it sounds terrible right my0:0820s I used to go to therapy and just0:11talk and talk and talk about what0:12happened and I'd cry and then I'd go0:15home and I guess I expected that if I0:17could just get one person to understand0:20they'd tell me the secret and I would be0:22happy so one time this friend of mine0:25listened to my worries and my pain about0:27how hard my life had been and she said0:30you know no one is coming to save you0:34and I thought what I thought I thought0:36she was just trying to use a mind trick0:38on me I thought she was being mean like0:40no one is going to save me but I learned0:43that what it means is even though all0:46that stuff happened to me in my0:48childhood that that time is over and the0:51trauma driven problems that I have now0:54are actually my problems my patterns no0:57one was coming to save me from that
