0:00Welcome to another unlearn wisdom0:02podcast with yours truly, another0:05unlearn wisdom podcast. Welcome to0:07another unlearn welcome to another0:10episode [laughter]0:12on the unlearn wisdom podcast with yours0:15truly, Johnny Chang, where each episode0:17is a gospel- centered lesson that you0:20could apply to your life today.0:22>> Today.0:22>> And today we're talking about gossipy.0:27>> Wow.0:27>> Gossip. Oo. Woo.0:29>> Dude, I got to tell you something crazy0:31about Johnny later.0:32>> Oh, just right. Not Not in front of him,0:34though.0:34>> I know, but I'll tell you later. It's0:35crazy.0:36>> Dude, that's not okay.0:37>> Is it not?0:38>> No.0:38>> What does the Bible say about that?0:40>> The Bible says gossiping is a sin. Dude,0:43[snorts]0:43>> you're not supposed to do that. Did you0:45guys just see that right now?0:46>> Tell them to repent.0:48>> Both of them.0:50>> Keep it down next time. [laughter]0:52>> Hey, man.0:52>> Dude, you think Johnny's kind of mean0:55>> right now? He's [laughter] kind of mean.0:58Oh, what's up? Hey, Johnny.1:00>> Dude, you're so cool and nice.1:02>> Oh my god.1:03>> Hey, this is it sounds [laughter] like1:04some Veggie Tales like like1:06>> acting it out like super.1:10>> Yeah. Yeah. [laughter]1:11>> Johnny's really smelly.1:13>> Oh, the audience. Boo.1:16>> Yeah. And then when I see him, Wow,1:17Johnny, you smell so nice today.1:19>> Jeez. And then cut scene. Is that okay?1:22According to the Bible,1:23>> he's like, my goodness, I just eat the1:25[laughter] I ate the fifth house. What1:27do you mean? I smell a good today. Wow.1:31[laughter]1:32>> And then it's like the narrator's like,1:33"Johnny's oblivious."1:36>> Yeah. But basically, we've all had1:38people gossip behind our backs. And to1:41be honest, you guys probably gossiped at1:42least once in your life. Everybody's1:44done that. So, you know, we're going to1:47unpack that. Is it biblical? Uh, you1:51know, is gossiping a sin? What if it's1:54just telling the truth, right? I mean,1:56what if it's what if it's just1:57information being put out there? Who who2:00knows? So, we're going to address all of2:01those things today in this episode.2:03>> Yes.2:04>> Yes, sir. So,2:07there was one time where I was2:09gossiping.2:11>> Oh, only one time.2:12>> One time that it was bad. And this is2:14after I was saved, too. I was a baby2:16Christian, but I would gossip about my2:19pastor.2:21>> Yes. [clears throat] This the first time2:22I left the church. When I left the2:25church, I would then like because I2:27didn't want to be wrong, I literally2:29made him wrong and I made the church2:31wrong.2:32>> You literally you used to be one of your2:34current Reddit haters2:35>> pretty much. I would go there and I2:37would be like he didn't exalt me. But2:39you know cuz you're like loving the2:41church and then like there's nothing2:42wrong with it. So you have to find and2:44dig and find something wrong with it,2:46right? And so I went to this one church2:48and uh they were kind of like just2:51saying things about my church, the2:53current church I'm at. And I was like,2:55you know what? Why am I backing these2:57people up, man? I don't care about them.2:58And then I kind of like leaned into it.3:01And then I realized like I just felt3:02nasty. Like I felt the ick. I was like,3:05man, I know I'm just being sensitive3:07right now. I know I'm like being3:09exalted. And so like this is not cool to3:12like pitchfork people, you know? And so3:15I felt like Holy Spirit gave me that3:16conviction through the word where it was3:18telling me in Proverbs like a person who3:20holds his peace, even a foolish person3:22who holds his peace is wise, right? And3:24I'm like, why am I really mad? And I3:26kind of sat there and I struggled3:28internally and I was like, okay. So they3:30kicked me out. Well, they didn't kick me3:32out, but they chastised me. I didn't3:34like that they corrected me, so I left.3:36And when I left, I was kind of mad that3:38they didn't like come back and reach out3:39to me. So I was like, "All right, well3:41then forget them. They're not the real3:42church." And from that pain, Satan3:44worked through my wound and then I was3:46just like gossiped that one time and I3:48just didn't feel good about it at all.3:51>> That's a bar right there. Uh, a fool3:53that holds his pee. Who wrote that?3:55>> Where'd you get that?3:56>> Proverbs.3:57>> Wait, so it did get back to the It did4:00get back to pastor.4:01>> No, it actually didn't. And and you4:03know, I kind of started to realize the4:05more I stood next to pastor how much4:07people gossip about pastor. Mh.4:09>> And and this was early early on, you4:11know, in the churches where it wasn't4:12that many like COTH members. It wasn't4:14any CH members, but it was just regular4:16people who were just like prideful and4:18shameful. There was like a wave of like4:20egotistical like feelings kind of going4:23and surging through that church uh at4:25that through that time period in the4:27church. And so there it almost like4:28split the church in half. It was crazy.4:30And that's why I think gossip is so4:32dangerous is because like people think4:34that they're just giving truth, but the4:36truth wasn't restoring truth and it4:38wasn't reconciling truth. It was truth4:40to just like divide people. Like you4:42know, he did that and it's like whoa.4:44And it like didn't help anybody. It4:45actually divided everybody.4:46>> Why does gossiping or venting feel good4:48at times or feel like you're connecting4:50with a person?4:51>> Uh because it is it is it does feel good4:54temporarily. It does feel like you're4:55connecting because you're like kind of4:57giving them information that nobody4:58knows. But again, uh, truth, there are5:02things that are truthful that are still5:03sinful, right? It doesn't mean that it's5:05a good thing. Like, just because you're5:07telling the truth, doesn't mean it's a5:08good thing. I Yes.5:10>> No, no, no. Continue. Sorry. If I raise5:12my hand, finish your thought, and then5:13just come back.5:14>> How about you just don't raise your5:15hand, and we'll let me finish my5:16thought, and then you raise your hand.5:17>> All right. Fine. Because what you said5:19when you I didn't, it felt like your5:20sentence was coming to an end, and so I5:22started raising my hand, and then you5:23immediately stopped, which threw me off.5:26>> Yeah. Well,5:28>> continue what you're saying.5:30>> You can tell the truth. I now I5:34honestly, Jeremy, I'm sorry. I [snorts]5:36don't remember what I was saying now.5:37>> Oh, now I feel bad.5:39>> I'm not trying to make you feel bad.5:40Well, what were you feel afterwards?5:42>> No, no, I'm with him.5:43>> I should feel bad. But listen,5:45[laughter]5:45>> so I'm just kidding.5:47>> What? Like, when does it turn from So,5:49I'm going to go back to the first thing5:50like why does it feel good to connect?5:51But before that, when does venting or go5:54when does venting or sharing information5:57turn into gossiping? For example, you're5:59at a job. Let's say you have a truly6:01evil boss. We've all had a terrible,6:03terrible boss, and you're going through6:05it. The boss is rude to you, like throws6:08throws tasks on you that aren't yours,6:10blames you for things that's not you.6:12You get back to your desk or you get6:13back to the cash register and you're6:15just having a crummy time because you're6:16like, "This person makes me feel so6:18bad." And then and then your coworker's6:20like, "What's wrong?" And you're just6:22like, "Dude, he like lied about what I6:25did yesterday and now he's blaming me6:26and I might get in trouble." Yeah. You6:28know, to the higherups, higher-ups. And6:30then the coworker is like, "Dude, he did6:32the exact same thing to me." Like, "This6:34person's not good. Don't let him6:36>> Yeah.6:36>> Don't let him put you down." You know6:38what I'm saying?6:38>> So, I would say it as like I would6:41answer that question with one question.6:44Am I sharing this to heal or am I6:48sharing this to feel relief like6:51selfishly,6:52>> right? Like are you sharing like this6:55information to like heal from it and6:56maybe protect others? Okay, fine. You6:58know, but are you sharing this just to7:01kind of like feel like better about7:03yourself? Then I think it's it's again7:06it comes back to the restoration aspect,7:08right? Am I going to share this to like7:09restore or am I going to share this to7:11just like gossip and and feel better7:15about myself and be like, "Look guys,7:16oh, he did that to you. All right, let's7:18kind of click up and like go against7:19this person, right?" If you really7:21believe in God, you believe that God7:23allows things to happen and then you7:25bring it to God. You don't bring it to7:26human beings,7:28>> right? But then people are like, "Whoa,7:30he did that to me. Wait, I noticed that7:31pattern. I noticed that pattern. I7:32noticed that pattern." Okay. Right?7:34There's obviously a million customizable7:36things in a company. it'll be different7:38than in a household. In a household,7:39it'll be different than in a at a at a7:41gym. And at a gym, it's going to be7:42different than a church. So, to say7:44like, how do we do this specifically is7:46probably not going to it just depends on7:48your situation. But foundationally,7:51are you sharing this because you want to7:54feel better. And that's what trauma7:55dumping is. I just want to do it to7:57share, but I'm not going to invite any7:59healing. Or are you sharing this to like8:01heal and be like, "Hey, the boss did8:03this to me, and I felt some type of way.8:05like, "Do you think I'm feeling right8:07about this?" It's not to point it at the8:09boss, but to be like, "Am I messing up8:11here? Am I like, okay, well, all right,8:14let's just kind of bring it up to him8:15and let's see what let's talk to him8:16about it versus like, he did that to me.8:18Okay, he's not a good boss passing8:20judgment." And then it's like then he8:21has to like we got to figure out a way8:23to get him out of here. Then it becomes8:24very like malicious and like kind of8:26like gang mentality, right? Mob8:29mentality. So again, are you sharing8:31this truth, which is fine to like heal8:34people or to harm people? It's really8:36going to be up to you. Nine times out of8:3810, gossiping is not it's basically8:41sharing your heart with jud it's like8:43spreading judgment. If you think about8:45it, I feel like a judgment towards one8:47person and then I'm going to go to this8:49person and sway them to see it my way so8:51that they can judge them too. It's8:53literally spreading and perpetuating8:54judgment, which we're not called to do8:56as Christians. Yeah, we can call out8:59truths. Sure. Right. But yeah,9:02>> on that that sentence right there, we9:04can call out truth.9:06>> That opens up a giant can of worms for9:08me because everybody on the internet9:09nowadays is like, look at all this9:11evidence I have.9:12>> Yeah.9:13>> And they're basically it's basic like on9:16making videos online about someone is9:18just mass gossip. Yeah.9:19>> And people can structure their argument,9:22right? the left does it, the right does9:23it, the you know, whatever it is in any9:25situation, they can position information9:27to make it seem like I'm telling the9:30truth.9:31>> So then how do you how do you how do you9:35uh discern?9:36>> Yeah.9:36>> How do you discern when people are doing9:38something like that? Again, it comes9:39back down to just are you doing this to9:42exalt yourself or are you doing this to9:46you know like pro are you doing this to9:48prove that you're right9:50>> versus like are you processing this pain9:52and then giving it up to God right so to9:54process this type people like to expose9:57others9:58by saying and then hide behind like what10:00I'm just telling the truth because they10:04think that they're doing the right thing10:06but the right thing to do is to go10:08vengeance isn't mine. I'm not a I could10:11be wrong in certain things. Even if I'm10:13right, I should still bring it to the10:15person who's right above everybody else,10:16which is God. So, I would say, yeah, you10:19want to put the information out there,10:20that's fine. But 99% of the time, they10:23don't go to God first. They're going to10:25themselves first, and they're not taking10:27anything to God. Venting is bringing10:29your pain to God. Like, you should be10:31venting to God in prayer. You can be10:33venting to people who are like neutral10:35parties, like people who are pastors and10:37ministers and even therapists and10:39whatever. But to sit there and be like,10:41I'm going to bring this pain and kind of10:43spread it to everybody else and make10:45everybody else carry the burden when God10:47is supposed to carry the burden, that's10:49when it becomes a problem. So yes, being10:52truthful is commanded in the Bible. But10:54if the truth doesn't protect and it only10:57exalts yourself, that's not truth10:59either. That's just ego wearing church11:01clothes, basically. like, "Oh, I'm just11:03protecting you guys." Look, but really11:05the heart is like, I want people to know11:07about this guy because I don't like this11:08guy. And here's the truth. Yeah, maybe11:10Johnny did this. Maybe Johnny did that.11:11But like, I don't like him, but I want11:13everyone not to like him. And I'm going11:14to hide behind the fact that, hey, I'm11:17just talking about the Bible. Look at11:18that's what it says. Like, but deep11:20down, you know what your heart is. Like,11:22why do you spend that time to do all of11:24that? Dude, it's funny because the11:27minute that somebody gets cancelled or11:30there's uh something negative about11:33anybody, you just see the other side11:35come out the shadows.11:36>> Yep.11:36>> And it happened to me a bunch of times,11:38right? So, everyone's silent until11:40something's bad happened, then they11:41dogpile. They're like, "Look at this11:42person's character. Look at what11:43happened."11:44>> Do you know why that happens, too?11:46Because like the way that I think about11:47it is like you just had mentioned11:49shadows, so it triggered something for11:50me. Like shadows never show up until11:53light shows up. So, when you're doing11:55something right and bright, that's when11:57like the the darkness shows up. Like me,11:5910 years before, nobody was saying12:02anything about me. I hit a millie and12:03then all of a sudden I'm preaching the12:05gospel and everyone's like, "But he's a12:06fraud. He's this. He didn't do that12:07right. He didn't do that." It's like,12:09it's kind of crazy that like when I'm12:11preaching light, everybody got something12:13to say. When I'm doing evil in darkness,12:16honestly, no one had anything to say.12:17And I was infamous in a way where it was12:19like, "Yo, he did that. Whoa, that's12:21gangster." Like I would get commended12:22for doing evil things, but now that I'm12:25doing truthful good things that are12:26edifying other people, not just self,12:28freeing other people, people who are in12:30bondage or feeling some type of way12:32about that,12:32>> right? So it's like it's kind of crazy,12:34right? So I would say like12:37>> sometimes speaking up is a good thing,12:39but I think majority of the time, him12:41who holds his peace, that's the it God12:44calls that wisdom. So there are times12:46where we sit back and we're swift to12:47listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.12:49The Bible says this in James chapter 1.12:51I've noticed that even if I notice12:53something about someone, but I don't say12:54anything about them, God genuinely in my12:57at least in my experience has corrected12:58people versus like me trying to correct13:01somebody. I've tried that early on in my13:03walk. And when I try to correct them, it13:05closes their hearts right away cuz they13:07may not feel like you're validated13:10enough to correct me even though you're13:11coming correct, let's say, right? And so13:13they will actually close their heart13:15versus like and this happens with13:17couples if you guys notice like uh like13:20a man and a woman will argue let's say13:22and the woman will say something to the13:24man and the man feels like she's not13:25qualified to say that and then he'll go13:27to his homie and the homie will say the13:29exact same thing the girl said and then13:31he'll take that and then be like and13:33then bring it back to the girl and the13:34girl would be like I literally said13:36exactly what he said and then that13:37becomes like another fight right and13:39it's because there's a heart posture of13:41like I'm not ready for you and to hear13:44it from you even though what you're13:46saying is true, it's different. It's a13:48different dynamic than someone else who13:49I trust who has more authority I would13:51say says versus someone who says it.13:54>> One of the things that made me think of13:56all that though is how do you defend13:58yourself in that? So if people are13:59gossiping gossiping about you especially14:01that you have a public career especially14:03in my situation when I was getting14:04canceled14:05>> the first thing I wanted to do was14:07>> say my side of the story. It's like look14:09all of this narrative is false. It's14:11completely false. And a lot of times14:13what I've seen on the internet too is14:15usually the person that comes out with14:16the story first gets to control the14:18narrative unless the other person is so14:21good at defending themselves14:23>> um and can refute it. And and even then14:25the person that went first, there's14:27still millions of people out there that14:29will just follow that that never sees14:31the second part, you know, and it14:32literally tarnishes their name.14:34>> True.14:34>> So what do you do in that situation if14:36you're being gossiped about?14:37>> This is one thing I think gossip is good14:39about. Okay. And and I and I live by14:41this is if you're not smart enough to14:44see a person's heart posture, if you're14:45not like in tune enough to like see how14:48a person moves and gossip with evidence14:51and things like that can knock you off14:53of that. For me, that's a really good14:55measuring stick of like you're not going14:56to be here anyways. Like if you're with14:58me only when you feel like I'm good or15:01you you're you support someone only15:03based off of what you think is good,15:05then your judgment can be flawed and it15:07can be swayed at any time. Right? So I15:10would say you don't actually deal with15:11it. Like let them spin the narratives.15:13Let them do whatever. There's many15:15people that have spun narratives about15:16us too. And literally like big pastors15:19with you know 100,000 you know followers15:22etc. even more a million followers. We15:24don't even respond to them. And yeah15:26there are some people that I feel like15:28have left and been like oh I seen he15:30talked about that dreams and visions15:32this guy this guy. But at the end of the15:34day it was more peaceful on our end. It15:36was almost like they helped us coal like15:39the and kind of cut out the people that15:41don't need to be here. So for me, I'm15:43I'm always like, you know, not everyone15:46who talks about you is is is like means15:49that like it's valid. Like nine times15:51out of 10, somebody who's speaking about15:53you and gossiping about you and takes15:54that much time to go out and prove that15:56you're wrong, it shows a lot of15:58insecurity about them.15:59>> 10 times out of 10,16:00>> right? So, I'm like, why would I worry16:03about what you have to say about me? If16:05you spent the amount of time you spent16:08trying to expose somebody in the word16:10and getting closer to God, I think that16:12would be more productive, right? So,16:14that's kind of how I accept it is like,16:16go ahead.16:18>> Go ahead.16:19>> No, I just did this.16:20>> No, you went to say something. I got to16:23be better.16:23>> You can't control yourself. You're the16:24type of guy like when you're happy, you16:26just start clapping uncontrollably. So16:28gossip only has power when it pulls you16:30off of your trajectory, off of your16:32mission. And um you can stay silent. And16:35a lot of the times, again, us just not16:38even worrying about people, they just16:40literally just taper off. In the16:42beginning, I was met with a lot of16:43opposition, too. Not even from just16:45other churches, but from homies. And16:46when I'm like, man, you can say whatever16:48you want. I'm going just do what I I got16:49to do. They're in the same position as16:51they're and probably in a worse16:53position. And we're just like taking16:54off. And it's no disrespect, but like if16:57you guys want to stay on your grind,16:58stay on your grind. And like it's like17:01the saying that I use is light doesn't17:03argue with darkness, right? It just17:05continues to shine. Like that's all you17:07have to do. So yeah, there will be17:08people who will try to tarnish your17:10name. And yeah, sometimes, you know,17:12they can spin narratives and make it17:14seem like it's like halftruths. That's17:16the enemy anyways. How do you deal with17:18Satan? By taking it to God. You can't17:21fight Satan. You can't fight gossip on17:23your own, right? because then it becomes17:24this checkboxing thing. So let's say I17:27try to sway people that the gossip was17:29wrong and I prove them wrong, right? And17:31and then people go, "Wow, Johnny was17:32cool." But then that only lasts until I17:35can't prove myself again to them. Once I17:37can't prove myself to them that like17:39let's say this time I won this argument,17:41but this next time around I get smoked17:43by that argument, then it's over. Like I17:45literally lose like the people's17:47attention. I lose their trust. I lose it17:49right away. That happened low-key with17:51like the Billy Carson situation with17:53like a lot of people just like arguing17:55and stuff and debating. It's always17:57this. Can he win? Oh, I It's like17:59they're almost like only supporting them18:02because they can validate their thoughts18:05like their feelings, right? I'm going to18:07support you. I'm going to listen and I'm18:08going to be the judge. Okay, you said18:10something that's pretty valid. You said18:11something that's pretty valid, too. But18:13who's God and who's the judge in that?18:15It's the person who's watching. And I'm18:17not here to convince anybody. We're here18:20as messengers. It doesn't say in the18:21Bible, convince people of the gospel. It18:23says preach the gospel to the ends of18:25the earth. Not convince people of the18:26gospel to the ends of the earth. So we18:28don't have to sit there and try to18:29figure it all out. Gossip, the best way18:31to kill gossip is silence. Is to just18:34let them say whatever they want because18:36truth doesn't need to be like it's like18:38a negative and a negative doesn't make a18:39positive, right? like the in order to18:42defeat negativity, which is gossip and18:44and Satan, you just continue to be18:47positive and good and you let your18:49actions and you let the way you walk18:51speak for itself. And sure enough, we've18:54had people where they came from the18:56other people's congregation who hated on18:58us and they were like, "Bro, bro made18:59like four videos about you in a week."19:01We're like, "Bro, we get it." And at19:03first I was like, "Yeah, Johnny's19:04wrong." But later I started to just19:06almost look at like, man, this guy just19:08keeps on defending himself and he's just19:10like having a monologue. This guy's19:12evil. This guy's the Antichrist. This19:13guy's this. This guy's that. And we're19:15like, bro, we get it. Can we learn about19:16God now? Like, what's going on? And they19:19saw that. And now they're in our core of19:20the heart. They're just like, "Bro, we19:21just watched your stuff." We're like,19:23"Let me see what you have to say." And19:24when you're sitting there, you're19:26literally just quoting scripture. And19:27so, you know, it just it just depends.19:31Gossipot is officially live. I made an19:33AI chatbot built from everything I've19:35ever taught. Not only will20:10Gospelbot reply with the perfect answer,20:13but it will also send you the original20:15videos where I originally talked about20:16your question. Check the20:53link in the description for sign up20:55instructions. So don't defend yourself20:57when it comes to your reputation. You20:59have to allow God to defend it. Don't21:01compete with God, right? Like my21:02reputation and where I stand is where21:04God is going to protect me. That's just21:06what it comes down to. Because everybody21:08and their moms is going to have21:09something to say about you. If you try21:11to defend yourself, you then plate to21:13that and then you fall into the trap of21:14going back and forth. And then even if21:16you persuade them or convince them or21:18try to communicate with them, they're21:20again that's on a timer because they're21:22then going to be like, "Okay, he made21:24sense this time." But well, they mess up21:26again, then they're going to catch you21:27again. So, you're living like this21:28roller coaster, right? So, yeah.21:30>> What about in a realistic situation? So,21:32all everything you said was realistic,21:34but they're like, "Johnny, I don't have21:35millions of followers. I started dating21:37a girl and her friends started talking21:39bad about me. Oh, that guy used to cheat21:41on girls or whatever it is. And so, I21:43have to, you know, get her facts21:45straight, you know, because she's21:47feeling torn by the people that are21:49close to her saying something about me."21:50>> What do you do in that situation? It's21:52It's not like you're necessarily trying21:53to sway her. It's like it's like21:57>> there's people saying things and I just21:59have to set it straight real quick.22:01>> I think you don't have to set it22:02straight. I think the but how you set it22:04straight is important. Sure. But like22:05you could just literally in that22:07situation just be like not every lie22:09like it's a lie. Like it could just be22:11something as simple as like do you trust22:13me? Like it's a lie, right? Like hey22:16Johnny, why did you do that? Hey that's22:18a lie. I mean, I'm I don't I don't even22:20want to waste my time explaining that.22:21And if the person sits there and and has22:23this negative mindset of, oh, you don't22:25want to explain it because you're hiding22:27something, then that's that says more22:28about them than it says about you. Like,22:30why can't you trust me to be like, I22:32don't like if we're called to be22:34together and someone is gossiping and22:36you're swayed by somebody who's22:38gossiping, like that just shows me a lot22:40about you, too, right? It's like it can22:43go both ways. I I never I've never ever22:46once honestly in my life had been able22:49to like sway somebody and be like, "Hey22:51guys, look, this is what it is." Because22:53nine times out of 10, they have their22:54mind made up about you. They're almost22:56like sniping you. It's hard to explain.22:58It's this feeling of like, "Oh, I feel23:01some type of way and now let me watch23:02and see what you say." And they'll do23:04that. They'll literally leak it like,23:05"hm, okay, interesting." they'll do that23:07and you're just like,23:08>> "Okay, so are you gonna like listen to23:10what I have to say or do you want it to23:12be again you being the judge, me making23:14it make sense to you and then you23:16believe in what I say?" You should know23:17by my character who I am. Now, if it's23:20completely new people that even that23:22works too because you're sitting there23:23and you're still having dialogue with23:25each other and you ask them, right, what23:27did what what did I ever give you any23:29vibes like that? Did I ever do any of23:31those things? Like that's all you have23:32to say. It's more disrespectful to be23:34like this person that I trust who I know23:36more than you like said about you. Like23:39that's fine, but you can still keep an23:40open mind and be like, "Hey, like I but23:43I seen how you acted." They do that with23:45our church all the time. People the23:47first time I got into my church, people23:48were like, you know, you're part of a23:49cult, right? And then I ask them, okay,23:52have you been to our church? No, I23:53never. Then what are you saying right23:55now? Like I've been to my church. Like23:57what do you say about it? And sometimes23:58they'll say these halftruths. Well, I24:00did go there 10 years ago. and just be24:02careful, Johnny, because of this, this,24:04and this, and this, and that. And I'm24:05like, so why did you leave? Right? Like,24:07what what what made you leave it? It's24:09never It's like you brought up the24:10accusation. You have to defend the case.24:13Why would I then believe your accusation24:14and then make them defend the case?24:16Like, that doesn't make any sense.24:17They're literally there preaching the24:19gospel. You're outside of the church not24:20preaching the gospel. How do they have24:22to defend that case if you're the one24:23who left the church? Like, it doesn't24:25make any sense. But that's what people24:27are doing, right? They'll be like, "Oh,24:28it may Oh my gosh, I'm just protecting24:30you." Again, protection never divides24:32people, though. Protection always unites24:34people. It always, right, it brings24:36people to safety. So, if you're24:38protecting people, you better be well24:40aware that you're protecting them into24:42God's hands and leading them into God's24:44hands. Not leading them away from God,24:46separating, making them God, judging the24:48situation and then being like, "Yeah,24:50I'm going to follow this or I'm going to24:51follow that." God never divides people.24:53He always unites people in truth. And24:56the truth has to unite people. It24:58doesn't sit there and divide people. You25:00kind of covered it a little bit. No, you25:02did cover it a lot, but maybe you can25:03summarize it clearly. So, how do you25:06properly shut down someone's gossiping25:07without hurting their feelings?25:09>> Good question. Very good question. So,25:11you25:13>> I have the I have the answer, but I25:15don't think you guys would like it.25:17>> Why?25:18>> You don't25:20>> What do you mean? It's always going to25:21hurt their feelings or you don't shut25:22them down. You don't shut him down25:28>> because think about it. If you try to25:31shut him down,25:32>> then you play into this world of like25:35ball is in your court now. You get to25:37choose. Like you're almost like kind of25:39like defending yourself when there isn't25:42anything to be like someone else brought25:45negativity and then now you have to25:48somehow defend yourself from that25:49negativity. And nine times out of 10,25:51defending is like you got to make25:53someone else look better.25:54>> Okay. Okay. So that's that's if they're25:56talking about you directly. Let's say me25:58and Aaron, I come to Aaron and I'm26:00gossiping about you. Yeah.26:02>> How should Aaron26:03>> shut it down without being like, you26:04know, maybe that maybe off this little26:06venting. I'm26:07>> He should be like, "You should tell him.26:09You should go and talk to the person who26:10you're talking to me about."26:11>> Yeah, I plan on telling him, but like26:13you do. That's true.26:14>> Yeah, but I am going to Yeah, but I am26:15going to tell him, but like26:16>> So then I if I was there, I'd be like,26:18"But why haven't you?" If you are gonna26:20tell them, why are you coming to me?26:21Well, because I'm just venting. I'm just26:23letting you know. I'll finish it for26:24you, Mint Jerome. Yeah, because I was26:26venting and I26:27>> Yeah, but then I'm gonna be like, dude,26:29what the what the hell, Aaron? I thought26:30you're my friend. I'm just trying to get26:32like26:33>> No, that is true. But I'll tell you one26:34caveat. I'll tell you one caveat to that26:36advice26:37>> because whenever I do come to you, your26:39advice is to tell them26:41>> and then I very quickly26:43>> have to tell them.26:44>> But [laughter] some26:47stand toes. Sometimes I fear and don't26:50tell you certain things because I know26:52the answers that I'm going to have to26:53tell them.26:54>> Yeah, that's fine.26:55>> So, even though I know the advice, I'll26:57still like refuse it or hide it26:59sometimes just because it's difficult27:00advice to take.27:01>> Okay, but why is it difficult?27:04[laughter and gasps]27:04>> Why is it difficult?27:06>> I don't like uh I don't like27:08confrontation.27:09>> There you go. Right. So, that's that's a27:12thing. That's why it's okay for him to27:13hold it in. Then he has to overcome that27:16confrontation. And su and you do Aaron27:18honestly does that. Everyone we we're27:20like, "Oh, we won't." And then it gets27:22to a point where you just have to27:25>> You literally just have to. So go ahead.27:28>> I didn't say anything that time. I swear27:29to God, I didn't move a muscle.27:32>> Editor tape.27:34>> Roll the tape.27:34>> You literally27:36[laughter]27:38>> You did. You've been doing podcasts for27:41how many years and you don't know how to27:43stop. like his sentence breaks are27:45weird.27:46>> He like breaks and then he's like,27:47>> "Oh, it's my fault." Blame it.27:49>> Oh,27:50>> hey. This Hey, this isn't gossip either.27:53This is me telling you your sentence27:54breaks are weird. [laughter]27:55>> To your face.27:55>> I got to confront you about that.27:57>> All right. I'm sorry. That's my fault.27:59>> You looked at me and said it. I'm like,28:00you should tell him. [laughter]28:03[gasps]28:04>> Hey, this is all role play. We're just28:07teaching you how to handle gossip in all28:09types of situations. [laughter]28:11>> Jerome. Oh my gosh.28:14>> Wait, but what were either of you28:15saying? What were you saying?28:17>> I was saying that basically it it it28:19even if you don't want to, right? You28:22had like a vulnerable moment where28:23you're like, I even I won't come to you28:26cuz I kind of know, you know what I28:28mean? What you're going to say, but at28:30the same time like that then it how do I28:34say it? It's it then you come to a28:36position where you're just going to be28:38like I know what I need to do. It's do I28:41want to do it or not? Right. Then in28:43that case, it takes time to The boy's28:46literally holding his lips. [laughter]28:51>> It's that hard for you not to talk.28:53>> No, it's very clear. So, you know, you28:55can keep going. You know, I'm not going28:56to interrupt you. [laughter]28:58There's no chance I can interrupt you.29:00Not even a out of my mouth will stop29:02you. [laughter]29:03>> Analog mute button. Mhm.29:04>> The other thing too is I could make a I29:06could make a mouth noise and he'd29:08immediately like it popped the brakes.29:10>> He's got [laughter] like super He's got29:12Anyways, no, you're getting This was29:13good. Keep cooking.29:14>> I forgot. No,29:15>> no. You were saying you were saying it29:18gets to the position.29:20You know that you want to say29:23>> Yeah. Yeah.29:23>> And that's the part that I fall on29:25always is right. I'll know the answer29:27and now it's just I know the right29:29answer. It's not about do you have the29:31submission29:32>> to make the to to do the29:34>> it's the bending of the that's what I29:35call like the breaking of the heart cuz29:38like it really feels like we call it29:40breaking of the heart guys is because or29:42bending is because it literally feels29:44like you're breaking your heart to do it29:46like I don't want to and okay right cuz29:49when you have when you guys go through29:51heartbreak and you can't call that29:53person back and you call them and29:55they're not picking you up what then do29:57you have to do it's that feeling of like29:59all All right, I guess I just had to do30:00it. I had to take it. That's why we call30:02it the breaking of the heart. So, if you30:04guys ever hear that, I know it's like 4030:05episodes in and I've never explained it30:07before. But breaking the heart means30:09that feeling of like I I know I should30:12move on, but I don't want to. But it30:15gets to a point where your heart does30:16break and you go, "All right, I'm going30:17to move on and I'll be fine." And and30:19and that usually uh happens with time,30:23right? In the first week, you break up.30:24You're like thinking about them. Every30:26freaking song reminds you and whatever,30:28whatever. later it doesn't even matter30:30anymore. You're like, "Oh, I'm good."30:32And it just takes time. So, I I have30:34faith in that. Like, even when you're30:36coming to me or you're coming to me and30:37I feel like you guys aren't going to30:39tell me certain things, I'm never like,30:40"Yeah, you should tell me. Why don't you30:42tell me?" Like, I never crack you guys30:43for that. Right? But at the same time, I30:46feel like I just give it up to God and30:48go, "God, there's going to be certain30:50things that Aaron wants to talk to me30:51about and certain things that he's not30:53going to want to talk to me about or30:54doesn't isn't ready to talk to me about.30:56You have to then take care of it, God."30:58You know, and I do the same with Jeremy,30:59too. And nine times out of ten, it31:02really does, if you guys notice, I mean,31:03we've been here for like a year and some31:05change now. It always does resolve31:07itself or it does get brought out31:09eventually. Like I've been sitting on31:11this for three weeks, you know, and it's31:13like I'm and I got to like, all right, I31:15got to talk about it now. And it's it's31:16it's good.31:18>> True.31:19>> Um, and then I guess nothing to add.31:22Well, because I have something to add.31:23>> My lips are clear. I don't even get it.31:25My lips are pinched shut with my hand.31:27And you guys still think I'm trying to31:28say something.31:29>> Oh, sorry. You just you distracted me.31:31Sorry. No, I'm just kidding. [laughter]31:32Um, well, so while we're on the topic,31:34so let's say you you do let's say I do31:36muster up the the courage to confront31:39someone or bring something up instead of31:40gossiping or talking behind them. And31:42let's say that it's31:44this is a little off the topic of31:45gossip. Let's just say they're not31:47willing to hear it or accept it or31:48things don't get better31:50>> um to a certain extent. It's like then31:51are you just like, "Okay, well I told31:53them or it's like how how much do you31:54keep harping it? When do you let go?31:57Yeah, I think not everything that's true32:00needs to be said. I think you just let32:02them you got to let it go, right? I32:05think the situation will determine32:08>> what like we can sit here and go, well,32:10do we do this? Do we do that? But32:12>> based off the situation, it's almost32:14going to like tell you to do that,32:16right? Like a person can say, I'm going32:18to be lazy all day. But like once they32:20start to have to pay rent that's going32:22to change their mindset and motivate32:24them to to like do something like we32:27could sit here for example motivate you32:28can be motivated you got to wake up you32:29got to lock in you got to but like32:31there's some people who don't even if32:32you give them the blueprint you guys32:34know this you guys sit there and help so32:37many people with social media advice and32:39like 1% or like 0.5%32:42takes your 0.0132:44>> literally take your guys's like advice.32:47I happen to take his vi advice at first32:50and obviously yours and like it just32:52scaled crazy, right? But there's some32:54people where I'll see you Jeremy and you32:56guys too and just give them alpha and32:58they don't do it at all. And I'm just33:00like what the heck? And it doesn't33:01matter how much. Oh, should I go and I33:03tell them this way? Should I be nicer?33:05Should I motivate them? Should I do it33:06for them? Like even if you do all of33:07that, that's not going to motivate them.33:09But once they start starving, that's33:11when they're like, hey Jeremy, need some33:13more help again. Hey Johnny. Oh my gosh.33:15What'd you say about that Bible verse33:16again? I was talking about like two33:17years ago that you like it becomes this,33:20right? So again, we we're kind of caught33:23in this thing where it's like a pridqu33:26quit prid33:29gross scroll33:31>> quid proquo where it's like I do this33:33and then they'll do that, right? But33:35that's not true. Not everyone It's It's33:37so weird. We're transactional, but we33:39don't even know how to be transactional33:40sometimes, too, right? It goes back and33:42forth. So, we sit there and we're like,33:44"All right, I'm going to how do I talk33:47to this person? I'm going to be nicer to33:49them. I'm going to be whatever." And33:50then there's times where it just flips33:52on you. Like, you guys ever argue with33:54someone? And you're like, you map it all33:56out. Not going to argue with them.33:58>> Yes.33:58>> I'm going to talk to them this way.34:00>> I love them so much. And as soon as they34:02come in, YOU'RE LIKE, I HATE J. AND34:04YOU'RE just like, what the heck did I34:06do? That's similar situation, right?34:08It's like guys, you guys listening in34:11too, of course you can take this and you34:13need grace to apply these things that we34:15teach you. But understand one thing, you34:17need grace to be able to like surrender34:19and the situation, believe it or not, is34:22always going to dictate the posture of34:24your heart and vice versa. The posture34:26of your heart is going to dictate the34:27situation. And sometimes the situation34:29will change your heart to then reveal34:31your actual heart that you didn't know34:32was was, you know, was. And so that's34:35what happens.34:37I don't know what I'm saying.34:39>> No, that made a lot of sense.34:41>> You're just Holy Spirit spitten.34:43>> Why did you say that?34:44>> I don't know. [laughter]34:46>> You just blacked in.34:47>> Literally, there's34:48>> Why did you share that about yourself?34:49That was weird. [laughter]34:52>> Literally, there's times where people34:53will like I'll preach a sermon and I34:56won't know what happened.34:58>> Really?34:58>> Legit. I'll just be like and like land35:01back in and be like, "Oh my gosh." So, I35:04genuinely don't know what I just said35:05right now. Could have been the Hennessy35:06you were drinking earlier.35:08>> No, no, no. Dude, I saw the Maton clip.35:10That was cracking up.35:11>> Hilarious. [laughter]35:12>> Wait, wait. Which one?35:13>> I sent it to you. CL.35:15>> Hey,35:17>> everyone chat. This is the first35:19question to the entire podcast. Let's35:21say you've known someone for four or35:22five years. You've gone through the35:24trenches with this person,35:26>> you know, put food on their table, you35:28know, gone through gone gone to war with35:31this person. We were in, you know, Yeah.35:32literally in battle together. And and35:35every once in a while you send you you35:37don't try to spam them. Every once in a35:38while you send a you you throw out a35:40little a little hello, let's stay35:43friends and you send them a little meme35:45and you do that and you and you send one35:46every like, you know, couple days or35:48whatever and they never open it. Is that35:50really your friend? How should you feel35:51about that?35:52>> Okay, so one every couple of days was35:54was your wording.35:55>> Oh, here we go.35:55>> Saturday at 12:06, Saturday at 12:04,35:58Saturday at [laughter] 5:28, Saturday at36:0010:57, Saturday at 245.36:02>> Some bangers. I'm just saying [laughter]36:04when it's five a day.36:06>> No, not five day. Saturday. That was And36:07then go back. Look at that.36:09>> Five on Saturday.36:10>> Yeah. Yeah. And then I didn't send any36:11Friday. Thursday. No. No. No. 125936:13Friday. [laughter]36:15>> Thursday. Here's three in a row. No time36:17difference. You were just douching36:18sending me each one. Look at 5:24. 525.36:2152. That was three bangers.36:22>> Jeremy, do you understand that the whole36:24point was you said you send it every now36:26and then? And then you did that and you36:29literally doubled down.36:30>> Yeah. Double down.36:31>> Yeah. It was five. [laughter]36:32>> It's your good. It's okay. Let's go36:34back.36:34>> So, it's not one36:36day.36:37>> Let's go back. You put food on this36:38man's table.36:39>> Like, I have a four.36:40>> You would give the shirt off your back36:42for this person.36:43>> Like, there's an algorithm that's meant36:45to serve me videos I want to see. You36:48think you know better than that?36:49>> Yes. Yes. I have I don't I have Jeremy's36:52DMs.36:52>> Yeah. Your algorithm's off sometimes36:54because I see you liking Jake Paul36:55videos. [laughter]36:57Jake Paul photo. A Jake Paul flying in a36:59jet with money all over it. I'm like, I37:01got to I got to correct his algorithm.37:03>> Go look at the 3D printed one. You tell37:05me you didn't want to watch. Watch it37:06right now. Tell me.37:07>> I want to hear about the Hennessy Matan37:09clip. I love Matan.37:10>> It's And I sent it and in in the group37:11chat, you know, watched it.37:13>> Was like saying some crazy stuff.37:14>> No, just let let him watch it.37:15>> Yeah, watch it. Anyways. Yeah. Yeah.37:16That was just hilarious. Please.37:18>> So, anyways. Yeah. Well, let us know in37:19the comments if your homie is sending37:21you five plus reels a day.37:24>> Not five.37:24>> Is it standard to watch them37:26[clears throat] all?37:26>> That was Friday. That was Friday and37:28yesterday. Yesterday you were like, "Oh,37:29you didn't see the video I sent you." It37:30was 2 hour. You sent it two hours.37:32>> Oh, yeah. But clearly you didn't even37:33see the ones from Saturday, Friday,37:36Sunday. No, no day. So you you're bad37:39friend.37:40>> What's the limit, guys? How often can37:42you send your friend reals37:43>> or how often? It's like you'd think37:44that, bro, they be doing that to me,37:46too. Like not my homies, but just random37:49people in [laughter] Johnny Chang.37:50>> Random is crazy.37:52>> Every single like, "Bro, bro, bro, bro,37:54bro." And it's in the restricted. Like,37:56I literally have to restrict them.37:58[laughter] And I'm like, "Bro, you37:59literally writing paragraphs to38:01yourself." And our fourth wall, too.38:04Like, they DM me. They're writing38:06paragraphs to themselves, bro.38:08[laughter] I need to run the 30 seconds38:10with Johnny. I'm just kidding, bro. I38:11love you so much, bro. I hate you. I'm38:13going to kill you, bro. Actually, I'm38:14just playing, bro. I love you so much,38:16bro. Oh my gosh. You said something that38:17was bars, bro. You're wrong about that.38:19It's like, what the heck is going on,38:21bro? I don't even have time to respond38:22to any of these things. I'm just like38:25skip38:26>> I need to restrict you on J. Just decide38:29what I open.38:30>> I No. Hey, go just go back the last38:32couple days and genuinely hard or thumbs38:34down and I guarantee you they're all38:35going to be38:36>> Oh, you'll learn like the algorithm.38:38[laughter] I'll thumbs down bad ones.38:39>> No, no, no. I guarantee you there will38:41be no misses. Okay,38:42>> there was I only said in the meme where38:44I'm like, "This is a guaranteed smash.38:46>> Next week I'll pull up with a38:47compilation of all the misses."38:49>> There's no misses. I I'm that confident.38:52I'm that confident. It's all just like38:53we are. [laughter]38:59>> I know you too well. Okay, lock in.39:02>> All right.39:04>> It's crazy what you were saying about39:06goss social media just being like39:08largecale gossip because it's so true.39:10>> It is.39:11>> Like, so do you think social media has39:13just like accelerated gossip in the in39:15the modern?39:16>> 100%. It gave gossipers a voice number39:19one, which is what you never do because39:22gossip dies when no one listens to it,39:25>> right? So true. If you're sitting there39:26and you're like, "Oh, it" and it allows39:29an echo chamber effect where you're39:31validating your gossip, right? It's39:33like, "Well, what? Look at that guy39:35agrees and that guy and they all agree."39:37And later, what gossipers is so funny39:39about gossipers is that they gossip39:41amongst each other about each other,39:43too. Even though they're homies, they'll39:44gossip about each other. And I'm just39:46like, yo, what is going on? Genuinely,39:49gossip is a sin. It tarnishes39:51reputations before someone can even have39:54a chance at knowing that person for who39:56they are. It's like the worst type of39:58for me personally, it's like the worst40:00type of thing you could actually do in40:02that you're literally just spreading40:04judgment. You're spreading false40:05narratives. You're painting a picture40:08which otherwise a person may not have40:10seen. Right? And I used to also40:12understand like why gossiping is like I40:15thought it was crucial or like powerful.40:17It's powerful not in the way that I40:19thought it was. I thought it was all40:20exposure and we need to know the truth40:22and all that. Later on I I I realized40:24like there's so many people that How40:26many times have we met a person and40:27we've heard things about them and then40:28when you hang out with them you're like40:30they're actually not that bad.40:31>> Yep. Totally. [laughter]40:33>> Jeremy have boys like that.40:36>> Yep. Yep.40:38>> Right. That's happened so many times.40:40>> Is news just gossip? Because journalism40:43is like, "Yo, I have this data. Look at40:45this evidence I found. Like, I'm40:47searching for the truth." And a lot of40:48times, too, there's been times where you40:50see something happening and a good40:52neutral journalist will unveil. Yo,40:55that's not the actual truth. And I'm40:56like, "Oh, I appreciate that. Like, I40:57got the other side."40:59>> But then there's what it's become is41:00obviously mega media corporations have41:03turned it into clickbait. But like, is41:05news is news bad? Is news gossip is a41:08really good question.41:09>> Is good journalism gossip?41:10>> I don't think so. I think if it protects41:13and it edifies and kind of like builds,41:16sure. But gossiping again is always a41:19negative connotation, right? You're41:20never like that's good gossip. Like it's41:22just bad. So if it again brings you41:26closer to God, why not? If it takes you41:29away from God,41:30>> it's like that. In our church, it's the41:32same. Like I see people gossiping about41:34Pastor Kim all the time or even our like41:35head pastor. Oh, you know, he's 80 years41:38old and you know, he shouldn't be doing41:40that and back then he was very angry and41:43he did this and he did that and I'm just41:45like, what about this is going to bring41:47me closer to God. If anything, because41:49of that, I want to leave the church and41:50then I don't want to even care about God41:52anymore because I've laid all of my41:53heart onto this person, all of my41:55dependency onto this person. No, hoping41:58and praying and believing that God has42:00worked in his life. And now you're just42:02like with your little words is undoing42:03everything. And now I'm trying to look42:05at this dude sideways. And I think it's42:07just like what about that is pushing you42:09closer to God, you know? So again,42:11[clears throat] journalism, God aside,42:14is it leading you to more clarity? Cuz42:16sometimes if you notice when when it42:18comes to gossiping or venting, it makes42:20you feel worse. You guys ever vented42:22before and you're just like, I need to42:24stop talking about this cuz this is42:25actually triggering me. Like42:27>> I thought you're supposed to vent and42:28release and be happy. And there's times42:30where it literally goes the opposite42:31end. So I would say that is bad. Now42:34journalism obviously is is different. It42:36can't be cut and dry. But but it's like42:38I do believe that if it's something that42:40is exposing and protecting other people,42:42not just ego, not just pride, not just42:45making you feel good, but genuinely42:47like, hey, this is going on and it's42:49like murdering children and it's like42:51things like that. Yeah. I think you have42:53to like televise that and be like, hey42:55guys, this is like what's happening in42:57Sweden. There's a a journalist out42:59there. And he brings so much light to43:00what Sweden is because people don't know43:03what's going on. They don't know what's43:04going on. They think Sweden is still43:06IKEA and like, you know what I mean? But43:08it's not. It's crazy right now, right?43:11And some experts say it's irreversible.43:14We out of the gospel say it is not43:16though. It is reversible43:18>> if you plant the gospel and don't43:19gossip. Don't gossip. Gospel, different43:23G's.43:24M43:24>> well so okay speaking of social media43:26this is kind of a different form of43:28gossip but is subtweeting a sin like do43:32you remember sub because now you're not43:33naming anyone specifically you this is43:35kind of more venting just grievances but43:37if you're subweeting just like43:39>> I hate when people at work do x y and z43:41it's like it is that social media large43:44scale gossip but you're not necessarily43:46calling anyone out or like what is43:48nameless gossiping is that still43:50>> I I still think it is because then what43:52happens is it gives you like kind of a43:54lens and then when you jud like when43:57someone fits that you're like oh that's43:59them. So it does have this residual44:00effect of like hm like it seems harmless44:04cuz it's not naming a name but that44:05doesn't mean anything. You'll then take44:07that lens and then put it on to that44:08person and now you're judging them and44:11it may just be that you're wrong like44:13you're having a bad day or they're44:14having a bad day. I don't think people44:16should be judged by their bad days. But44:18social media has done that where people44:20crash out and then they're just like44:22whatever, I'm just going to keep44:23crashing out then because everyone looks44:24at me like that. Like there's no44:26incentive for a person to change then.44:28It's like you messed up this one time,44:29I'm going to cancel you. That's why I44:31have an issue with cancel culture.44:33>> Sure.44:33>> Right. It's like why? Why? Like a a dude44:35could have messed up one time. A person44:38could have even went and cheated. Right.44:40But then they're like nope. Once a44:41cheater, always a cheater. Again, that's44:43not naming a certain person, but you're44:45now like, "Huh, that is true. Once a44:48cheater, always a cheater." But I44:49mentored a lot of cheaters who don't44:50cheat anymore. Sure.44:51>> Right. So, it's like, what do you what44:52do you mean by that? Right? It makes44:54sense, but it doesn't make sense. Oh, OF44:56girls just they all love their job.44:57Like, not necessarily, right? They may44:59have trauma, they have things like that,45:01but again, people don't care, you know?45:03>> Dang. So on that kind of bigger45:05[clears throat] more generalized45:06non-nameless go or like that nameless45:08gossip um or just like it's just like45:10prejudgments about anyone in general. It45:12kind of fits into all groups of people45:14even races culture. It's just like oh45:16Disney adults, right? Oh, they're all45:18going to be weird. They're all going to45:19be like this.45:20>> Right. Right.45:21>> Yes.45:22>> That one's facts. [laughter]45:24>> Jeremy,45:25>> is it gossip if it's a fact?45:27>> Yes.45:27>> Okay. Well, I'll say racist jokes. It's45:29like that's a form of gossip in a way45:32because it's like this nameless.45:33>> So true, dude. Jeremy can't drive. Bro45:35got a Tesla and still can't drive.45:37[laughter] Bro got self-driving and45:39still can't drive. The Tesla be45:41buffering. And I'm like, what is this on45:44Asian mode?45:44>> No, dude. The thing actually is45:45hilarious. Like I can sit in his Tesla45:48and text, no problem. But whenever45:50Jeremy looks down and thinks his eyes45:51are like closed or not looking at the45:53screen, he's like, "No, you45:54>> So Tesla is in that way."45:56>> Yes. The cameras are racist.45:57>> Like open your eyes. He's like, "I am."45:59He goes, "A grank." He's like, "I am. I46:01do have them open. [laughter]46:07>> Finish your thought here. This is a good46:08thought."46:09>> No, I mean, that was it. It's just kind46:10of a discussion, not really a question,46:11but it's just interesting.46:12>> Clippy.46:13>> Clippy.46:14>> Dang. But that's just also like you got46:15to think of it like memes, character46:18archetypes, you know, like, you know,46:20the hot Cheeto girl46:21>> generalizations in general.46:23>> But they're so funny sometimes. It's46:25just a joke.46:25>> I was just going to adjust that.46:27>> It's just a joke. That's why I think46:28gossip is dangerous, too, because a lot46:31of the times there's sarcasm weaved into46:33it. There's like like joking weaved into46:36it, too. And what that does is it46:38low-key tricks the mind to make46:39everything light-hearted when it's46:41actually not,46:42>> right? So, it's like how many times have46:44I sat there and I was like, "That's a46:45funny joke." And then I see it happen in46:48real time and it's like even funnier,46:50but now it's like they're the meme,46:52right? And it becomes like you now46:54associate that person with the meme and46:56it's like it's it's again slapping a46:58lens onto somebody, a label onto47:00somebody for your entertainment, which47:02is kind of crazy I would say.47:04>> Well, what if you know someone who47:05clowns everyone all the time like every47:08point and it's harmless for sure and47:10hilarious.47:11>> The Bible says joking is a sin, Jeremy.47:15>> That's we talked about this already.47:17[laughter]47:18>> Look at his heart. But I47:19>> mean, no, we talked about this. No, no,47:22no. But I'm saying I'm kidding.47:23>> You know how like how could not how47:26could God not have a sense of humor if47:27he made Aaron? [laughter]47:29>> All right.47:33>> This guy's ears are full of wax or47:35something. You got to listen.47:36>> Yeah. [laughter]47:39>> So then where do you draw the line? Cuz47:40some dude sometimes Dave Chappelle47:42hilarious [laughter]47:44>> hilarious. You'll find yourself laughing47:46at yourself because it's so true. Like47:48>> and it's like that's kind of the line47:50with comedians, right? Comedians have47:52this kind of blurry line where it's like47:53as long as it's you legitimately can47:55make it funny, [clears throat] it flies.47:57>> I think intention then that means47:59intent, right? Because think about it.48:02>> They can joke around because they don't48:04really believe that or mean that. I48:06would say, right? It's funny because48:08they're placating they're making like,48:09you know, something that's serious into48:11something that's not. And again, that's48:13actually kind of uniting people and48:15reconciling things, right? Look at48:17Jeremy. What? Jeremy, what is it, bro?48:19>> I can't I'm just smiling.48:21>> I'm sitting there and I'm literally48:22talking about something. You Everyone We48:24need to cut all these moments so that48:25you guys think I'm interrupting cuz48:27everyone's going to hate me. [laughter]48:28>> I'm just smiling.48:30>> They already know. What about all the 4048:31other48:35>> literally?48:36>> No, it's not that Jeremy cuts me off.48:38It's me, too, guys.48:39>> Should I switch seats?48:40>> No, no, no, no, no.48:41>> Then I'm out of his eyesight. How does I48:44literally have It's called peripheral48:46vision, bro. Come on.48:46>> You don't got Oh, yeah. You got the48:48super peripheral vision.48:51[laughter]48:54>> Ning is guang.48:56>> I was thinking of like the TRX standing48:59the movie. [laughter]49:02>> His eyes are just like they think49:03instead of opening this way, they go49:05this way all the [laughter] way the side49:06of his head.49:07>> Who's the X-Men guy?49:09>> Cyclops.49:10>> Cyclops. One. [laughter]49:11>> Yeah. If he was the next man, he'd be49:13Cyclops.49:17[laughter]49:18>> But the lasers would never work.49:21[laughter]49:23>> This paper cut thin. Like, ow. I I guess49:27[laughter]49:29>> is crazy.49:30>> He's like, "Yo, shoot a bigger beam."49:31He's like, "Kill anyone.49:32>> I tried. [laughter]49:38>> Cyclops. going [laughter] to eat you49:40now. He's like49:44>> just like one line burnt in like ah49:46[laughter]49:52>> where were we?49:54>> I don't know.49:54>> Joking. [laughter]49:56>> I don't know.49:57>> Joking is like this blurry line where49:58you could be like, "Well, it was a49:59joke." But it's like with comedians,50:01it's only if50:02>> it's They also say it's only a50:03[clears throat] joke if it's funny. But50:04then that's subjective. So it's like the50:06goalpost moves.50:07>> But again, I think it's a heart posture,50:09right? Like are they do they intend to50:11divide with their jokes? I don't think50:12so. I think they intend to unite and50:14that's okay. They're making people50:15laugh.50:17>> I know why I'm laughing because50:19>> Well, yeah. Good.50:20>> Whatever. [laughter]50:23>> Wait, wait, what? Who would know? Like I50:26know why [laughter] you're laughing.50:26>> No, no. I meant to say I was laughing50:29earlier, but you were saying something50:31and it stopped you and I was like50:33because again it times have changed. So50:36Shane Gillis is hilarious. one of the50:38best comedians out right now.50:39>> He does such a good impression on Trump.50:41>> Trump just all his impressions are so50:43>> Australian.50:44>> Yeah. They're so funny. He's hilarious.50:46And I bet you if you didn't know who he50:48was and I sat you down and you watched50:49one of his specials, you would die50:51laughing. Go on Netflix.50:52>> Yeah.50:52>> So he when it was this was around uh uh50:56Stop Asian Hate.50:57>> He made a joke where it was like Jeremy50:59Lynn was like found the in their armor.51:03>> Right now it'd be like Okay. Is that51:05funny or not? Maybe not. I don't know. I51:07thought it was funny.51:07>> I thought that was funny.51:08>> I thought it Exactly. I thought it was51:09funny, but at the time it was right when51:10Stop Asian Hate was and he got booted51:12off of SNL.51:14>> Oh, that was the joke.51:15>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.51:16>> Oh, well,51:18>> on SNL. He said it on SNL.51:20>> No, he said Yeah, I think he said a51:22joke. He made a joke on SNL or made the51:24joke in his standup and I think it was51:26during during um Nick's when Jeremy Lynn51:29was going through. So, he like found a51:31 in their armor and I'm like I was51:33like that's funny. But everyone else was51:35mad about it. So I was like, "Never51:36mind, not funny." [laughter]51:38And and and then51:40>> I didn't stand 10 toes.51:42>> Yeah, I didn't stand 10 toes. I was just51:43like, "Oh yeah, I guess it's not funny."51:45Wow, I'm Asian. Yeah, how dare you.51:47Wait.51:48>> And then now he's Dude, he lost his like51:52they people were saying cancel him out51:53of venues. [clears throat] Like they51:54they really tried to hurt his career and51:56he battled back to now where he's the51:57biggest. And now when I look back, I'm51:59like the joke's kind of funny.52:00>> It is funny.52:01>> So52:02>> So what?52:04>> I think like Okay. People be so quick to52:07like defend people, right? Be like,52:09"That's wrong. That's racist." Okay,52:11cool. That's cool. Of course. Like, you52:13should speak up against racism. But you52:15also have to see the heart posture of52:16like certain people who are just like,52:18"Now's my time to show people how good I52:20am." Like, you have to [clears throat]52:22be careful of that, too.52:23>> What's that called again?52:24>> Genuinely performative.52:26>> No, it's like it's like Yes,52:29performative. But there's a word for it52:31online for people who do that. I forgot.52:33>> Virtue signaling.52:34>> Virtue signaling. That's what it is.52:36>> Like whatever that is. All I know is52:38like y'all got to just be able to52:40discern like is a person doing this only52:44cuz they live off of that and they have52:45no other purpose but to show other52:47people that they have a purpose and they52:48love people and they want to show how52:50good they are. Like it's just it's kind52:52of dangerous. And it's not kind of it is52:54dangerous to sit there and be like I'm a52:56good person and I want to show you guys52:58how much how good I am as a person. Then53:01really is it because they're standing up53:03for that? And what's scary about that is53:06that they can deceive themselves so much53:08to think that that's what it is.53:11>> Getting so angry thinking about this53:13because when we got cancelled, there was53:14a lot of that. There's people virtue53:16signalers. People are like, "Look how53:18and then I look at their pages and I'm53:20like, you're just a sad human. I can53:22[laughter] just tell you're a sad human53:24>> because53:26things the things that you're making53:28content about is not even hitting.53:29Nobody cares about it." And then it's53:31when you start to gossip out about53:32people, those are the good videos. And53:34then give it some time, I would53:36literally see their views53:37[clears throat] die off again until they53:38would try to something else would happen53:40and they would jump on and get all that53:41attention again. I'm like,53:42>> so you would say that a lot of people do53:44this to get views to show that they're53:47valid.53:48>> Look how good I am.53:50>> That's true. That happens even in53:51churches. It happens in a lot of places.53:53So53:54>> like I said, guys, be smart about it.53:57Don't just like pitchfork everything.53:59Just take a a second to think and be54:02like, what is this person's intention54:04behind all of this? Cuz just because not54:07everything that's gold is what is it?54:09What does this say? Not everything54:11that's gold is gold. [laughter]54:13Sometimes it's goldplated. It's like all54:15butchered. Not everything that shines is54:17gold. Is that what No, not everything54:19that glitters is gold or something like54:20that.54:21>> Yeah. Yeah. It's glitters like gold. But54:22what does that mean?54:22>> Glitters is gold. It means like just54:24because outwardly it looks good54:27>> does not mean it's actually good54:28inwardly. And just because something54:30outwardly looks bad, abrasive,54:32assertive, harsh doesn't mean that it's54:34like that. There's a lot of people like54:35when I was at a combination home,54:36there's a guy named Walter.54:38>> He was really really old guy and54:40[clears throat] so like a jarhead super54:43like Marines, you know, served the the54:46country for years. Was like said Korea54:49like that. didn't say it like you know54:51he would just be very54:53>> mean like his voice would just be like54:56what like that's how he talks like what54:59what do you mean I can't have my food55:01why not I pay every month like he just55:03talks like that but when I spoke to him55:05and got to know him he's such a soft55:08soul but outwardly he's like this I'm a55:11man and I don't process emotions and I'm55:13a but in he's very rigid but internally55:16like he accepted the gospel like that he55:18I gained his heart with crispy cream55:20donuts of all things. He like cried as55:23he was eating. He's like, I haven't55:24eaten this.55:25>> You would have too.55:26>> You love you'd be. So, you gained your55:28heart over jajangyan. Look at this guy55:30talking. He's like, over crispy cream55:32donuts. This guy,55:34>> I'm not saying it like that. Oh, man.55:36>> You're a big back, too.55:37>> I am. I'm the biggest back.55:40>> But I genuinely like55:42>> I I could see that. Then there's also55:44like really nice people. There's a55:47person I remember one time, same thing55:48was like a grandma spoke really nice.55:51Hey, how you doing? Like super nice,55:53right? But then I swear I challenged her55:56on the Bible just a little bit and she's55:58like, where does it say that in the55:59Bible? I was like, [laughter]56:03what? What happened to the,56:06you know, it was like where does it say56:08that though?56:09>> And I was like,56:10>> nowhere.56:12It's scary, dude. So again, the lesson56:16here is just because someone outwardly56:19looks like I love you, a lot of this56:20stuff is super performative. It's like,56:24[clears throat] I love you, brother. Oh,56:26and then people are so surface level. He56:28said, I love you. He said he's praying56:30for you. Come on. It's like,56:31>> yeah.56:32>> Oh my gosh, dude.56:34>> You're crazy, bro.56:36>> No, you're crazy. There's nothing worse56:38when I see those comments and people and56:40then I'm like, okay,56:42>> the the only worst thing than seeing a56:44dumb comment is how many likes it'll56:46get.56:46>> Yes.56:47>> Like, dang, that many of you guys are56:48that dumb.56:49>> It's okay.56:50>> Back to the social media thing. It56:51doesn't even have to be them making56:53content. It's in the comment section.56:55>> Gossip and like and56:57>> whatever it is.56:58>> True.56:58>> Um, okay.56:59>> So, I want to move over to a topic that57:01you know very well because of your57:03background in the underworld. Snitching.57:05M.57:05>> Ooh,57:06>> you did a lot of this. I know you did.57:08[laughter]57:09>> Turn off the cameras right now. We57:11catching a fake.57:12>> I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.57:15>> Put that on. You know I'm changed.57:18[laughter]57:19>> You want to? No. No.57:22>> What is What is you? But I'm [laughter]57:26>> sorry. What was that? Did you say57:27something?57:29Anyways, so uh you know when it comes to57:32saying some calling someone a snitch57:34who's a gang member, bro, they literally57:37go ape bananas. Like go crazy. Even if57:42you joke around, there's a few words57:44that you shouldn't be saying.57:45>> Oops.57:45>> Snitch, something else that rhymes with57:48that but starts with the B.57:50>> Oh, got it. Okay, those things you don't57:54say stuff like that. But Jeremy is a57:57square of me and so we have to let58:00squares58:02circle.58:03>> Hey, I never said I was a gang member.58:04I'm a civilian, dude. Relax.58:06>> That's actually the the W right there.58:09>> That's the W right there.58:10>> Okay. So, when should you speak up58:13versus turn a blind eye if something58:15shares something that could be harmful58:16to somebody else?58:18>> Again, when it's when it's harmful58:20towards somebody else. Like if it's like58:22you know someone if it's not prot if58:24it's protecting someone I think that's58:26okay. If it's pushing them closer to God58:29I think that's okay. But again that's58:31it's difficult right? There's times58:33where I've seen it happen in both where58:35someone chose I'm not going to say58:36nothing and the situation came out to be58:39like wow I'm so thankful I didn't cuz58:41there was a misunderstanding or there58:43was etc etc. And then there's times58:45where I've seen it the other way where58:46it's like it is protecting someone. I'm58:47going to say it and it ruined people.58:49There was a story I don't want to go to58:51in detail. Somebody told somebody58:53something and it ended up with somebody58:54killing somebody58:56>> and then in the end they they got the58:58facts messed up. This happened and so59:02this person died, this other person went59:04to prison and that other person just59:05went off scotch-free and was like, "Oh,59:07my bad."59:09>> But it was so absurd that in the whole59:11area it was like this thing where it was59:14like that person did wrong, but that59:16person wasn't wrong. So again, it's it's59:19so sad that that's why I think it's just59:22better to leave it to God. Like59:24genuinely, it's that is the answer to59:26everything. Like God will reveal those59:29types of things. You know, God will59:31expose those things and he will help59:34clarify those things. There's many59:36things that people have came to me too59:37about certain things and there's59:39[clears throat] times where I'm like, I59:40should tell this, I should say this, I59:42shouldn't say this, whatever. But I if I59:44just take a second to like sit back and59:47chill59:49genuinely, it always resolves itself. In59:53life, it's the same too, guys. Like even59:55if you have a problem and you just kind59:56of like muscle through it. I'm sure I59:59don't know about y'all, but I had this1:00:00thought where before I was getting out1:00:02of the pin, I was like, "My life is1:00:04going to be ruined. I'm a two- strike1:00:06felon. I don't have anything to my name.1:00:10I'm I'm cooked. I'm going to come back1:00:12here. I'm going to die in here or I'm1:00:14going to die in the streets. That's it.1:00:16And then at that time, I wasn't sure if1:00:18the homies were going to plug me in. I1:00:20wasn't sure if I could even touch1:00:21anything that would make money. I was I1:00:23didn't even have money to then make1:00:24money. I didn't even know if people were1:00:25going to front me certain things. I1:00:27literally was like, I'm going to come1:00:29out of here and I'm going to die. And1:00:31from that moment, I had a thought,1:00:33should I catch my third strike in here?1:00:34Because at least in here, I am going to1:00:37live. I am respected. I have three hots1:00:39in a cot. I'm well known. My homies are1:00:42here. I could just die with my friends.1:00:44Doesn't seem too bad, right? But in the1:00:47end, look at how my life turned out now,1:00:49right? So again,1:00:51you you you guys can just sit back and1:00:53think just a little bit, right? Take do1:00:55this exercise with be like, when did I1:00:57ever think of something like when I lost1:00:59my job or I lost my spouse or I lost1:01:01something that my life immediately was1:01:03going to be ruined, which most of us1:01:05think we're not going to be able to pay1:01:06rent, whatever. But you're still over1:01:08here somehow being able to have Wi-Fi1:01:10watching our freaking podcast. You know1:01:11what I mean? like it's always the most1:01:13extreme thing and I think that's with1:01:15gossip and what other people say about1:01:17us too. Yes, you can choose to you know1:01:19expose and say whatever you got to say1:01:21but at the end of the day it doesn't1:01:23really I've known people who it's caused1:01:25more problems. I've seen people come and1:01:27go hey I was just sharing that with you.1:01:29Why did you go and like take it into1:01:30your own hands? We we know someone1:01:33recently that kind of this happened1:01:35where they took their matters into their1:01:37own hands and they went and called1:01:38everybody else's family, that person's1:01:40family, and now that person went back1:01:42and started doing that and these people1:01:43were supposed to basically get married1:01:46and now it's it's done. It's over. It's1:01:49like whereas it could have just been a1:01:51hey like you're having an issue, we're1:01:53having disagreement, let's just chill.1:01:55Let's just see what happens. And that's1:01:57I think it would have been okay.1:01:59>> Patience. Yeah, patience and then1:02:02allowing having faith because you can't1:02:03just have patience.1:02:04>> If you have patience without faith and1:02:06that's grueling, right? You're just1:02:07going to be like, "Oh, what's going to1:02:09happen?" Patience with faith is God, I1:02:12don't know what's going to happen, but1:02:13you know what's going to happen? And all1:02:15I got to do is trust you because based1:02:17off of that trust, you will work. You1:02:18can't You're not going to leave me1:02:19hanging. Like, I'm your son. I'm your1:02:21daughter. Why would you do that to me?1:02:23And through that, you're then able to1:02:25have everything fall through. Pastor Kim1:02:27never told me you're going to do this,1:02:28you're going to do that, whatever. All1:02:30he said was, "Don't you believe, Johnny,1:02:32that God is going to help you?" Do you1:02:34think he gave you a crazy life to then1:02:37not help you? Like, why if he if you got1:02:40shot that one time, you could have just1:02:42died right there. Why did he keep you1:02:43alive? Can you not see at least that1:02:46he's going to help you? You may not know1:02:47how he's going to help you, but that's1:02:49why you need faith, but you and you can1:02:51bank on one thing. He is going to help1:02:53you. And and it's so true. It's so true.1:02:57I didn't have to know everything. I1:02:58didn't have to figure everything out. I1:02:59didn't have to get an education. I1:03:01didn't have to do any of that stuff,1:03:02right? I just Yeah. God brought me you,1:03:05um, Jeremy and Aaron. Left brain, right1:03:08brain. What happens if somebody shares1:03:10something with you and you you say,1:03:11"Hey, I'm going to go and like it's it's1:03:14it's harmful to somebody else and I1:03:16should go speak up." You speak up and1:03:18then it backfires. The person that you1:03:20try to share1:03:21>> that with is like, "Dude, why are you1:03:23coming to me?" they find out that you've1:03:25told and now it's backfired on you when1:03:28you were like it could have been harmful1:03:30and I was doing the best that I could,1:03:32you know, in that situation.1:03:33>> Yeah. I think you do what Jesus did,1:03:37right? He spoke truth and then was still1:03:39misunderstood. So, you have to1:03:41understand that there's times where you1:03:42will be misunderstood even when you keep1:03:45it real.1:03:46>> Jesus spoke truth. It was like, "Hey,1:03:48Dad, I'm gonna go tell them that I saved1:03:49them." And literally, they killed him1:03:52for that. Right? So I I I would say you1:03:55being obedient and like going and1:03:57telling somebody something does not1:03:59guarantee like a person's approval,1:04:02right? Like there are again that's why I1:04:05think silence proverbs if you guys want1:04:07to learn how to talk and speak to people1:04:10you have to learn from King Solomon. He1:04:13dealt with all kinds of people. He had a1:04:15thousand freaking women, right? But on1:04:17top of that, he dealt with kings,1:04:19majesties, like all kinds of just1:04:21conquerors and and all that. And he knew1:04:24exactly what to say. So I would say, you1:04:28know, [clears throat]1:04:29learning how to talk to people and he he1:04:32says it. He says, "Stay silent in1:04:34Proverbs 17." A fool even looks wide1:04:36when he stays wise when he stays silent.1:04:39And don't argue because there's another1:04:42saying, right? Like a scholar and an a1:04:45scholar and a fool look the same from1:04:49afar, right? It's like1:04:51>> both bars.1:04:53>> Solomon got some heaters,1:04:54>> right? So it's like it's [snorts]1:04:56literally like don't you're literally1:04:58it's better to just be like I'll allow1:05:01the truth to come out when it needs to1:05:03come out and God you know my obedience.1:05:06Let me just step out of it. It's it's1:05:08and it's it's just wisdom. Wisdom is not1:05:11every truth needs to be told and every1:05:13lie needs to be addressed. Like that's1:05:15not wisdom. That actually causes more1:05:17problems, right? And when anyone who I1:05:20feel like is like I'm this freaking1:05:22crusader and I need a crusader of truth1:05:24and a warrior of truth and blah blah1:05:26blah. To me, they just they're they're1:05:29all so engulfed with like this1:05:31performative. I need to prove myself.1:05:34They feel like they have to validate1:05:35themselves. Why? Because people who have1:05:37to validate themselves are invalid. they1:05:39feel like they're invalid, right? And1:05:42that's cuz they don't have faith. For1:05:44me, there's a lot of things that people1:05:46have said about even my own family1:05:48members where I'm like, you know what? I1:05:49don't need to tell my dad that. I don't1:05:51need to tell my mom that. There was this1:05:52there was a thing, right, where one of1:05:55the So, so the way the people that we1:05:57are, we're Sandong people, right?1:05:59Sandong is northern China and we're like1:06:02known for being tall, creating noodles,1:06:04etc., etc.1:06:05>> He's like tall, handsome, smart,1:06:07>> double jawline. knee surgery but not no1:06:10surgery. Yeah. [laughter]1:06:13>> So he there was a guy who grew up with1:06:16my dad and he told me like a secret1:06:20about my dad, right, that was kind of1:06:22really bad and could pretty much tear1:06:24apart our family. But having the wisdom1:06:28that I had, this was like maybe four1:06:31years ago, maybe five years ago. This1:06:33dude was like telling me all this stuff1:06:35about my dad and what he did to my mom1:06:36that was worse than the things that we1:06:38already like kind of unpacked here. And1:06:40[snorts] I had to make a conscientious1:06:42decision like do I tell my mom this and1:06:45then it just like breaks her to death or1:06:48do I like, you know, just keep it to1:06:51myself? And so when I went to pastor, do1:06:54you know what pastor told me? He said in1:06:56Isaiah 43, he's like, "Those are things1:06:59of the past, Johnny. You don't even have1:07:01to bring it up cuz he's changed. He's1:07:05not that person anymore. Your mom's not1:07:07that woman anymore. You guys are fine.1:07:10What's the issue of digging up like old1:07:12skeletons and things like that? And how1:07:14is that going to edify anybody?" And1:07:17there was a conflict of like that's so1:07:20true. Should I tell him the truth and1:07:22like be honest with him? But I knew one1:07:24thing. his heart wasn't ready for that.1:07:26But most people,1:07:28it takes us a certain type of human1:07:32being to be able to do this to tell1:07:34somebody else. And it's just one this1:07:37one thing. If you don't think about1:07:39other people and you only think about1:07:41yourself, then you will go and kind of1:07:44like hurt people because how can you,1:07:46right? If I sat here and I was like,1:07:48"No, but I'm the son and I should be1:07:51right and I should be telling my mom1:07:53because I love my mom and I and me and I1:07:55and me." Then if I did that, it would1:07:59probably ruin the family dynamic 10,000%1:08:02even with the gospel, right? So I1:08:05genuinely feel like like with that being1:08:07said, like I didn't say anything and I1:08:10had my clarity through the servant and I1:08:12released it up to God and everything has1:08:14been fine. nothing has been an issue,1:08:16right? Whereas like people are like,1:08:18"Oh, I need to tell them it's eating at1:08:20me." And the enemy will just eat at you1:08:23and condemn you and not let you sleep.1:08:25And then you go and you tell someone and1:08:26yeah, you may feel relieved, but you1:08:28just ruined everybody else's life1:08:30basically.1:08:31>> Right.1:08:32>> Right. So, it's like rather we're always1:08:34called to kind of take on that and be1:08:37like, "Let me bring it up to God." You1:08:39know, we're hiring, guys. Core of the1:08:41heart is hiring. But listen carefully.1:08:43We're not just building a company. We're1:08:45building one of the fastest growing1:08:46Christian communities in the world. Maybe it'll work.1:09:57>> Genuinely, I can't do this without a1:09:58team. So, I'm very thankful for anyone1:10:00who supports the mission. I look forward1:10:02to hearing from you guys. Have you guys1:10:04ever1:10:05had somebody gossip about you guys, but1:10:07then not address it and just be like,1:10:10you know what, whether it was because1:10:11you're too busy or you're just like, I1:10:15don't care that much. And then when you1:10:17don't address it, would you guys say was1:10:20it net negative in terms of like was it1:10:22a bad thing because you didn't address1:10:23it?1:10:24>> Did it get worse because you didn't1:10:26address it or was there a time where it1:10:27it really got better? I'll start. Right.1:10:30me when I didn't address certain things1:10:33it was almost like1:10:36it didn't nothing happened but when I1:10:38did address it especially when it came1:10:40to street politics it got worse it got1:10:43worse for me like oh yeah someone says1:10:45something to somebody about you and I1:10:48was like what and I would go and I would1:10:49confront them and then because they1:10:51don't want to feel like a you know a1:10:54coward then they stand 10 toes even1:10:56though I could tell that that's not1:10:57really what they meant or they were1:10:58maybe had some alcohol involved olved or1:11:00whatever and then it it got really like1:11:02bad like violent, right?1:11:04>> Whereas like there's times now where1:11:06people say something and I'm like and1:11:08literally nothing happens. Your life1:11:11just gets better and I'm like dang all1:11:13the faces that I punched in and all the1:11:16people that I stomped out1:11:18>> for what? Just because they said1:11:20something like dang that's crazy to me1:11:22you know so I don't know. Did you guys1:11:24ever have1:11:25>> No, I agree fully. I was going to say1:11:26the same thing. First of all, times1:11:28people have gossiped about me that I1:11:30haven't confronted them. That's about1:11:3199.9% of the times. Like you guys know1:11:34I'm not confrontational. I never will1:11:36confront people. And then yeah, most of1:11:37the time nothing will happen. Like it1:11:40definitely comes from this is this next1:11:41thing I'm going to say might be like a1:11:43little pretentious or whatever, but when1:11:44when people would hate on me in the1:11:46comments when I was doing the DJ thing1:11:47or the live stream and people would1:11:49hate, they would make videos against me.1:11:50They would leave comments against me. I1:11:53just wouldn't pay attention to almost1:11:54any of it because it's like who the heck1:11:56are you anyways? Like Jake Paul said on1:11:59the video in the school of hard knocks1:12:00video the other day is like rarely1:12:02people that are hating on you are doing1:12:03better than you. Cuz it's like everyone1:12:05who was at my level or peers or people1:12:07that I was collaborating with loved1:12:09everything I was doing. But it would be1:12:10these random comments that were hating1:12:12and I'm just like all right no1:12:13difference. It's like1:12:14>> Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty is like1:12:16your booze mean nothing to me. I've seen1:12:18what makes you cheer.1:12:20Why would I care about y'all's opinions1:12:22when you're out here listening to stuff1:12:23like whatever it is? Like I just1:12:25>> Yeah, I almost never pay attention to1:12:28people talking to me. Only when I've met1:12:30you have I actually started like1:12:31confronting people or calling things out1:12:33or having conversations, but up until1:12:34then it was just like whatever.1:12:36>> Never take no mind to it.1:12:37>> Figgity facts.1:12:39>> I'm in a weird area.1:12:42>> It's because there's [laughter] two1:12:43>> Oh, you Oh, you you respond to everyone.1:12:46This guy responds.1:12:47>> No, I don't. No, I don't. No, I don't.1:12:49No, I don't. No, I don't.1:12:50>> So, don't come at me. Come at Jeremy1:12:52every No, I don't. Let me explain the1:12:54first one. [laughter] Let me explain the1:12:55first one. The first one. The first time1:12:57I had like a mega cancellation where it1:12:59was getting millions of views and I was1:13:01being put on like Yahoo Front Page and1:13:03Business Insider and all these websites1:13:06was I filmed I used to vlog for Nectar1:13:08and I was just making this goofy video1:13:10about how I was going to the airport. By1:13:12the way, if you ever want to go viral,1:13:13just make any video in the airport.1:13:15Doesn't matter. It's just [laughter]1:13:15instant. It's instant free views. Um,1:13:19but I'm going up to the front desk and1:13:21it's like an Asian lady, but she's like,1:13:24she's like a very typical Asian mom,1:13:26just like super harsh. Like, your1:13:28suitcase has crack. Like, we're not1:13:30going to pay for it. Tape it up. Like,1:13:32and I'm just kind of laughing and joking1:13:33with her cuz I'm like, "Oh, she's1:13:35funny." But she's like kind of like1:13:36she's showing me like motherly tough1:13:38Asian love. And I'm like, "This is1:13:40exactly like how my mom would treat me.1:13:42It's just funny how this lady just like1:13:43brings it to work and treats just people1:13:45randomly." And so there was there was a1:13:48humor aspect to it and I was like,1:13:49"Yeah, no harm, no foul." And when I1:13:51posted it, my followers all were1:13:52laughing. They're like, "Oh my god,1:13:54typical like Asian mom. My mom's like1:13:56that." Or whatever. And then it just1:13:58caught another side of the internet. And1:13:59they're like, "Wow, this guy put her on1:14:01camera. How dare he?" Blah, blah, blah,1:14:03blah, blah. Wow. And then other people1:14:05were like, "Oh, she was so rude. How1:14:07dare this work?" And I was like, "No,1:14:08no, no. I wasn't trying to make her look1:14:10rude." And then they're like, there was1:14:11one part of the video. This is the thing1:14:12I got flamed for. She's like yelling at1:14:15me and I turn the camera toward my1:14:16towards myself. I'm like, "Man, she's1:14:18mad." And then as a joke and I flip it1:14:20back and people were like, "Wow, look at1:14:21this guy being sarcastic when she's just1:14:23trying to do her job. She's not just"1:14:26and dude, it blew up and I and and there1:14:29was a part where I was winning the Comet1:14:31War. I was like, "Guys, [laughter]1:14:33>> hold up. Hold up. Listen, I'm on the1:14:36road. I have to be I'm solo. I'm filming1:14:38myself. I was a oneman machine. You ever1:14:40seen those photos of the guy that has1:14:42the drums, the pianos? whatever and the1:14:44guitar and playing all at once. That was1:14:46me on the road. I was filming in the1:14:48store, setting up, selling, vlogging,1:14:50all of that at once. And so, it was1:14:52impossible for me because I'd be away1:14:53from my phone for hours at a time to1:14:56really like defend myself. And then the1:14:58videos, the comments got crazier and1:15:00crazier and crazier. People were1:15:01reposting the video.1:15:03>> How many million of views do you think1:15:04you got?1:15:05>> I had to. So, what I did cuz at some1:15:07point I was like, this is PE investors1:15:09and people were getting scared. So, I1:15:11hid all the videos and I was like and1:15:13and then because news articles started1:15:15posting the videos, it was going beyond1:15:17belief. I'm like, I don't want this lady1:15:18to get fired.1:15:19>> Yeah, that's like like like it's this1:15:20was that was not the purpose of this. I1:15:22don't care about me, but I don't want1:15:23this lady to get fired and people that1:15:24are coming after it's not cool.1:15:26>> And so, I hid the videos, but when I hid1:15:28the videos, it had 10 million on1:15:30Instagram and it had something like six1:15:32million on on on1:15:34>> Tiki [clears throat]1:15:35>> Tiki and was right. It was going. It was1:15:38going and I was it was like doubling1:15:40every day and I was just like, "Oh my1:15:42gosh."1:15:43>> And because the news article started1:15:44writing about it. So, um, I hid the1:15:46videos and and a lot of people were1:15:49like, "Canc blah blah blah." And that1:15:52felt bad for a while because that was1:15:53the first time I got like mega mega mega1:15:55canled or I was getting mega mega mega1:15:57canceled. And so I just, you know, I1:16:01shut off the videos, focus on the rest1:16:02of the weekend, and within a week or1:16:03two, it like completely went away.1:16:05Nobody remember it. Nobody [laughter]1:16:07Nobody remembered it or thought about1:16:09it. But there was one guy, one person in1:16:12my friend group that was like, "You have1:16:14no quvos."1:16:16>> This guy was like, "You should have left1:16:18it up."1:16:18>> I always said he should have left it up.1:16:20>> You should have left it up.1:16:20>> You never really told me the lady1:16:22getting fired point. That's a pretty1:16:23good point.1:16:24>> Yeah.1:16:25>> But I remember1:16:27>> it was You were getting push back from1:16:28your co-founders and they were being1:16:30such babies and everyone thought it was1:16:31so bad. I'm like, "This is the best1:16:32possible thing ever." It was a video of1:16:34him shipping drinks across the country1:16:36for a launch and it was getting millions1:16:38of views. I'm like, this is the best1:16:40publicity of all time.1:16:41>> People were saying negative things about1:16:42the1:16:43>> There was other videos you guys didn't1:16:44want to take down that I was always just1:16:45wishing you guys kept up. I won't even1:16:47bring up. But1:16:48>> so when I think about that though, one,1:16:49if I didn't have to be on the road all1:16:52day, I would have kept the video up and1:16:53been in the comments and making reply1:16:55videos and being like, "Dude, if you1:16:56didn't get the joke or if you're not1:16:57Asian, you don't really understand. I1:16:58don't want the lady to get fired." I1:17:00just couldn't make a thoughtful video1:17:01like that. everything. I was so busy and1:17:03it was so much.1:17:03>> But even if you did that, they wouldn't1:17:05care either,1:17:06>> right? I would just be silent. I I also1:17:08hate when people post something and then1:17:10it's there just them fighting for their1:17:11life in the comments. [laughter] It's1:17:13like just just know what you did. Stand1:17:16tan toes down if you're posting the1:17:17video or don't post it and then let that1:17:19ride. It's like a1:17:21>> Let's get to the second time I got Mega1:17:23canceled. I also wish I just stayed1:17:25standed 10 toes. I wish I left the1:17:27videos up. I wish the investors didn't1:17:28make us shut down the other podcast. And1:17:30I wish I could have just said, "Yeah, I1:17:32said what I said."1:17:33>> Yeah.1:17:34>> No, not even that.1:17:36>> Even then though, you were fighting for1:17:37your life. You were in the in all1:17:39>> No, they made us do an apology. I didn't1:17:41write any comments. I didn't care. I1:17:43genuinely That time around, I didn't1:17:44care. I was not fighting in the1:17:45comments. I was like, I don't want to1:17:47apologize.1:17:48>> All of that came to be what it was. You1:17:50know what I mean? What I'm saying is1:17:51even when that happened, how did it work1:17:53out? It all worked out for the greater1:17:55good.1:17:55>> Bros over here and the hot.1:17:58>> Yeah. Yeah. One day one day I'll tell my1:18:00my full life story if they anybody1:18:02cares.1:18:03>> Yeah.1:18:03>> It's kind of wild how we all met.1:18:05>> But it's good. It's good that like you1:18:07you know like I said it's it's1:18:09>> it's it all ends up working to my point.1:18:12It all ends up like just tapering off1:18:14and working out at the end of the day.1:18:16True.1:18:16>> However which way, whether it's with1:18:18this platform, that platform, whatever.1:18:20Like guys, you guys can't cancel like1:18:23children of God, right? It's like we're1:18:25all children of God and like God is1:18:27going to work in whatever way. Think1:18:28about the people that quote unquote got1:18:30cancelled. You think like like maybe you1:18:32affected their lives and if you want to1:18:34affect their lives, that's kind of bad1:18:35on you, right? But God is genuinely like1:18:39merciful to everybody.1:18:41People who gossip, God still gives them1:18:43breath in their lungs. There are people1:18:44who have committed adultery, he still1:18:46pieces, he gives them marriage at times.1:18:48There are people who have even smoked1:18:50people and like committed heinous crimes1:18:52and God has still given them, you know,1:18:54salvation. So it's like we should be1:18:58genuinely I see with my peripheral joint1:19:00[laughter]1:19:02>> what what did you see?1:19:04>> You went1:19:06[laughter]1:19:07this is who we work for.1:19:10>> That's your assumptions.1:19:13[laughter]1:19:14>> Scripture popped up. Just kidding. But1:19:16yeah, so genuinely though, like it's1:19:19just it's if you guys can have the heart1:19:21posture to be like we can forgive people1:19:24cuz we're forgiven. Don't try to be1:19:26like, I'm going to forgive somebody cuz1:19:28it's the right thing to do. Again, very1:19:30performative. No, the right thing to do1:19:32is not because you are getting exalted1:19:34and you forgive them so you feel better1:19:36and people can look at you go, "Wow, you1:19:38forgave them." You forgive because God1:19:40forgave you. Point blank. Period.1:19:45That's it. So, everyone who gossips1:19:48about us, we forgive you. That's okay.1:19:50Continue. It's okay. God still loves1:19:52you. But understand one thing. It1:19:55[snorts] if you spend the amount of time1:19:57you gossip on people, touching some1:19:59bread, touching grass, preaching the1:20:02gospel. No, genuinely preaching the1:20:04gospel and praying to God. If you gossip1:20:07to God as much as you gossip to your1:20:08friends and you prayed to him, I think1:20:11he would help you a lot more. That's1:20:14just what I'm saying. Would you guys1:20:16agree?1:20:17>> Amen.1:20:18>> Amen. Zeiss,1:20:19>> I think you're right. Ultimately, I1:20:20guess sometimes, you know, you just feel1:20:22like you want to defend yourself.1:20:23>> Yeah. Yeah. Defending yourself is not a1:20:26problem, but what are you defending for,1:20:28right? It's like it's let God be your1:20:31defender. Like I that's what I've1:20:33learned, man. And it that's just coming1:20:34from me who's like you say anything1:20:37about me, I can't even sleep at night1:20:40type of thing. Yeah.1:20:41>> Does it bother you though? Like even the1:20:42Halloween [clears throat] episode,1:20:44remember how that clip was going1:20:45bananas? It's like, you know, we we1:20:46block the com comments cuz it's like1:20:48it's not your our page, our rules. You1:20:50know what I'm saying? You don't get to1:20:51come on here and like spread false1:20:52things.1:20:53>> Sure.1:20:53>> But at times, um that doesn't bother you1:20:56where you're like, "Dude, they're1:20:57misunderstanding me completely over a1:20:59clip."1:21:00>> I don't think it does only because I1:21:02know that they're determined to1:21:04misunderstand.1:21:05I think that's their their motive1:21:07>> cuz they could have went and watched the1:21:08full episode.1:21:09>> Sure. I think and I and I genuinely see1:21:13that they don't even watch the full1:21:15clip.1:21:16>> So then why is that gonna affect me?1:21:18>> True.1:21:19>> That says more about you than me. I'm1:21:21going to sit here and as soon as you1:21:22said Halloween like then I I mean like1:21:26you you got more problems than me. If if1:21:29you Proverbs 18:13 says to him who1:21:32answers a matter before he heareth it,1:21:35to him it is folly and shame. It's1:21:37foolishness and shameful. It's like how1:21:40many times have we sat there and1:21:41misunderstood somebody? We we didn't let1:21:43them finish their sentence and we're1:21:44like, "No." And then later they're like,1:21:45"No, I was literally saying what you1:21:47were saying." You're like, "Oh, it just1:21:49feels horrible." Right? So, I just let1:21:51again God do that. Like, y'all could say1:21:54whatever you guys want. The beautiful1:21:55thing about being in America is like you1:21:58could have freedom of speech.1:21:59>> If y'all go to China, you guys go to1:22:02these different countries, they won't1:22:04even allow you to freaking speak about1:22:06them. Arms off.1:22:07>> Yes. Literally the fact that you guys1:22:09can do it.1:22:10>> Amen. I just hope you guys can see it1:22:12from that perspective. Like, dang, I1:22:13could make a comment and I could spend1:22:16the same amount of time it takes to make1:22:18a com a hateful comment. You can spend1:22:21the same amount of time making a1:22:22positive comment or a constructive1:22:24comment, right? You can give1:22:25constructive criticism. We're not not1:22:27teachable here. You can say, "Hey, I1:22:30didn't really understand this. Can you1:22:31go a little bit in depth?" And we see1:22:32comments like that, too. Hey, Johnny, so1:22:34could you clarify a little more? that1:22:36actually gives us more motivation to1:22:37then clarify, make a follow-up video.1:22:39But if it's like, "No, incorrect,1:22:41wrong." Like, you know, they lead with1:22:43that. And they're like, "You're an1:22:44idiot. You shouldn't be doing that. Bro1:22:46got demon tattoo on his neck. He needs1:22:48to repent." And it's like, "Uh, what1:22:50does that have to do with the video at1:22:52hand?" Like, you're just ad homonym,1:22:53right? It's like, you don't care about1:22:55what I have to say. So, if you don't1:22:57care about what I have to say,1:22:58respectfully, why do I have to care1:22:59about what you have to say?1:23:01>> It's just the truth. It's just the1:23:03truth. And so I'm like, look, y'all1:23:05don't like me. Don't trip. I don't have1:23:07to match that energy and not like you,1:23:09but why would I then sit there and give1:23:12the amount of time to you who doesn't1:23:15care about me and doesn't even want to1:23:17listen to me and won't even give me the1:23:18time a day to explain myself, even if I1:23:20did, and even if I did explain myself,1:23:22you wouldn't accept it anyways, then1:23:25spending that hour debating you,1:23:28preaching the gospel, and bringing more1:23:29people and souls to Christ. Like I don't1:23:31I even just logically speaking, emotions1:23:34aside, who in their right mind would sit1:23:36there and go, I'm going to try my best1:23:40to plate to your feelings, feelings that1:23:42change, and to convince you when there's1:23:45other people who are just have the ears1:23:47to hear and the eyes to see. Why1:23:49wouldn't I? That's just wisdom at the1:23:50end of the day. You have to be wise with1:23:52your time, guys. You can spend a dollar,1:23:54make a dollar. No problem. Spend money.1:23:57That's cool. But you cannot spend a1:23:59second and make a second. Like we have a1:24:01set amount of time on this earth that no1:24:03one knows how long we have. And like you1:24:06should spend every single time winning1:24:08souls. Every single amount of time that1:24:11you have on this earth, you should spend1:24:12it winning souls, not winning arguments1:24:16and not trying to convince people or1:24:18change their views. Like they have1:24:20they're set in their ways. You have to1:24:22just accept that. That's the biggest1:24:24thing I've learned just being on social1:24:27media and just realizing and nine times1:24:29out of ten they're not gonna say it to1:24:31you in your face anyways.1:24:33>> Literally they're I come from a I come1:24:35from an era where it it it has never1:24:38been okay to hate on a fellow brother or1:24:41sister. Like you have a problem with1:24:43them. Look, being in prison, level four,1:24:46level threes, California Youth1:24:47Authority, even these are the worst of1:24:50the worst people. And even we know1:24:52because there's mutual violence. There's1:24:55mutual, you know, danger and respect.1:24:58We're able to go, "Hey, bro, can I pull1:24:59you to the side and holler at you like,1:25:02I didn't like the way you got at me on1:25:03the handball court. I didn't like the1:25:05way you got at me at the chow hall. I1:25:06didn't like the way you got at me in1:25:07front of the homies." These are hardened1:25:09criminals who have literally1:25:11dysfunctional families, broken homes,1:25:14compounded trauma, can sit there and go,1:25:17I need to holler at you about something,1:25:18pull you to the side, and yes, there's1:25:20emotions involved, but be able to1:25:22resolve. I've done that with a gang of1:25:24people, homies from Long Beach, people1:25:25from different hoods, people who shot at1:25:27my homies. Like, I was able to sit there1:25:29and have a conversation with them and1:25:30go, "Hey, I didn't like that. Could you1:25:32could you clarify this for me?" And then1:25:34we didn't go to like blow like you know1:25:36throwing fists and like you know1:25:37fisticuffs. We had an a grown adult1:25:40conversation and squashed the beef right1:25:42there through words. If hardened level1:25:45four maximum security gang members who1:25:48are secondass citizens top of the bottom1:25:51in society can do this. How is it that1:25:55you guys who are educated, claim to love1:25:57God, claim to know about God 1500 years1:26:00before us, have believe in the church1:26:02fathers, submit to Rome, this that and1:26:04the third, can't have a conversation1:26:06with somebody and just want to go to1:26:08like I want to, you know, assassinate1:26:11this person, whether it's their1:26:12platform, whether it's like praying1:26:14against like we have had people pray1:26:15against for against me for my death.1:26:18Like I'm I'm of God, but I'm going to1:26:20pray for you to die. That is wild. Where1:26:23does in the Bible does it ever say that?1:26:24Right? And it's like at the end of the1:26:26day, it's we can sit there and, you1:26:31know, combat each other and go back and1:26:32forth and debate each other, but I think1:26:35it's more important to sit there and go,1:26:37let's have a conversation. And even if1:26:39we don't have a conversation, cuz I'm1:26:41unreachable at times, I understand. Why1:26:43not go to God about me? Why not go, hey,1:26:46God, I don't understand what this guy is1:26:48saying. It seems like he's spreading1:26:50this, this, and this kind of rocking my1:26:51foundation. I don't feel comfortable1:26:53with this brother, but Lord, I know that1:26:55you're obviously allowing him to live1:26:57and to preach the gospel. There's1:26:59obviously people who are coming to him.1:27:01If he's really that wicked and deceiving1:27:03people, Lord, I pray for him that he1:27:05comes to the truth. Why can't it be as1:27:08simple as that versus jumping in the Tik1:27:10Toks and jumping in the, you know, IG1:27:12and jumping in the social media and1:27:14literally trying to like verbally abuse1:27:17us simply because you don't have faith,1:27:20right? I don't even understand the1:27:22thought process between behind people1:27:23who leave hate comments. Like I don't1:27:25know about you guys, but I don't know if1:27:28I've like ever just left random hate1:27:30comments. Like1:27:30>> same.1:27:31>> I I've left positive comments on videos,1:27:33but it's like if like you control your1:27:35algorithm. Like if you're watching1:27:36something that you don't like, you can1:27:38scroll away.1:27:39>> I say not interested.1:27:41>> Literally scroll away. Not interested.1:27:43Even block the person. Switch apps.1:27:45There's like 10 levels of precaution you1:27:47can take if you're not liking what1:27:48you're seeing. Who gets to leave a hate1:27:51comment? Like I've seen videos that I1:27:53hate. I've seen videos where people say1:27:55things that I horribly disagree with and1:27:56there and I think that's terrible, but I1:27:58would never like I don't know what1:28:00levels you have to go to take it to like1:28:01where I'd be like, "No, this guy's full1:28:03of crap. This guy sucks. I hate him.1:28:04Kill him." It's like1:28:05>> it's pride. [clears throat] Honestly, I1:28:07I would say that that's pride because1:28:09you feel like what you have to say is1:28:11valid1:28:12>> and it doesn't matter if you're hurting1:28:13people because you feel like you're1:28:15right. And so you're like, I don't I'm1:28:17telling truth right here. And boom. and1:28:18you do that and it literally can like1:28:20hurt people. There's comments that have1:28:22caused people to like die. There's1:28:24people that I know who've like literally1:28:26like took their life because somebody1:28:28said something about them, you know, and1:28:30then you know what's crazy is when we1:28:32bring it up to somebody who that1:28:34somebody who said it, they're like,1:28:35"Well, too bad. They shouldn't have done1:28:36that." Like there's no remorse. It's1:28:39just like And then I'm like, "But if1:28:40that was your brother or your dad or1:28:42like your uncle or someone close to you,1:28:44would you be like, "Well, too bad."1:28:45Yeah.1:28:45>> And to be right, some of them would even1:28:47go, "Well, yeah, if my dad was like1:28:49that, then too bad. He deserves to die."1:28:50It's like, "Holy no, you deserve to1:28:52die."1:28:53>> That's so true. People will literally1:28:55take it to that level. Well, even if it1:28:56was my dad, well, then too bad. It's1:28:57like, well, it's like, okay, but let's1:28:58see how that turns out in reality. It's1:29:00just not true.1:29:01>> Exactly. It's like that's to me like the1:29:03equivalent of like they go like writing1:29:05hate comments all over the internet or1:29:07going into like lives and arguing with1:29:08people is like equivalent of like real1:29:10life of you get in your car, you go to1:29:11neighborhoods you hate and you like try1:29:13to start fights, you talk out your1:29:15window1:29:16>> like [laughter] your line is tacky.1:29:18>> It's like it's like you would never do1:29:20that in real life cuz you'll get the1:29:22hands.1:29:22>> Oh, for sure. Figgity facts. It makes me1:29:25sick, honestly, when people1:29:29justify something bad because they think1:29:32they're doing something right. So, do1:29:34how old were you when you learned that1:29:36two wrongs don't make a right? Like, how1:29:38like it's crazy that adults have to be1:29:40told two wrongs don't make a right.1:29:42>> 24.1:29:43>> Like, I'll use a really harsh example1:29:45that honestly I can't stand. This dude1:29:47just learned it.1:29:48>> I said 24.1:29:51>> No.1:29:53>> 25. 25 [laughter] say yeah 251:29:59[laughter]1:30:00um but there's a lot of grown adults who1:30:04still don't realize two wrongs don't1:30:06make a right like I'll use a really1:30:07harsh example that honestly bothers me1:30:09but it is what it is and a lot of people1:30:11what well what1:30:12>> you're about to say it about me you1:30:14>> know not you not you and and and a lot1:30:16of people might disagree with me for1:30:17saying this to be honest even you maybe1:30:19I don't know1:30:20>> but vitality you guys know vitality Oh1:30:23yeah, the pranks vitality. It's1:30:25vitality. So he'll prank he'll they'll1:30:27you know like uh when they like predator1:30:29poachers where they'll like1:30:31>> seek out predators like what was the1:30:33show? Who was the guy who had the big1:30:35Chris Hans? How to catch a predator,1:30:38right? So now people on YouTube will1:30:39kind of do their own versions of it and1:30:41they'll make these YouTube videos about1:30:42it and that's fine. And there's been1:30:43YouTubers like that forever, forever.1:30:45>> But they'll Vitali specifically and1:30:48other people like him would just torture1:30:50these people. They would lure them into1:30:52a house under the guise of meeting up1:30:53with an underage kid and then they would1:30:55shave their head, make hot sauce,1:30:58>> just basically torture these people,1:31:00fight a professional boxer, like1:31:02whatever it is, whatever it is. And1:31:03everyone's just like1:31:04>> loving it because oh, he's this terrible1:31:06person. You can do whatever you want to1:31:08him. And it's just like two wrongs don't1:31:10make a right. I'm watching people their1:31:12mouths watering just eating popcorn at1:31:14watching a human being tortured. And1:31:15sure, maybe they're a bad person for all1:31:17these XYZ reasons. I'm not defending1:31:19those people by any means, but it's1:31:21people using the guise of, "Oh, I'm1:31:22right, so now I can do whatever I want1:31:24because I'm right. This person's1:31:26horrible. I'm going to do whatever I1:31:27want." Even torture them. Like things1:31:29that if it was a regular person, you'd1:31:30go to jail for. The only reason they're1:31:32not going to jail is because this person1:31:34isn't filing assault charges or whatever1:31:36because they're trying to get out of the1:31:37situation they're stuck in. But it's1:31:38just1:31:39>> taking advantage of a horrible1:31:41situation. It's just so pathetic and1:31:42horrible. But1:31:43>> talk that talk.1:31:44>> Same thing in the comments. Honestly,1:31:46they think they can talk hell as smack1:31:47because they're like, "Oh, I'm right.1:31:49You're wrong. I'm right. So, I'm going1:31:50to say horrible things. Me think I'm1:31:51going to pray for you to die." It's1:31:52like,1:31:54>> if that was a regular person who you1:31:55didn't think did something wrong, that1:31:57would be a horrible sin. Would you just1:31:58pray for random people to die? It's1:32:00like, you need to take into1:32:01consideration you being right doesn't1:32:03give you a reason to do something wrong.1:32:05Basically,1:32:06>> bars.1:32:08>> Wow. Aaron Chang just went off.1:32:10>> I mean, that is like a basic like if you1:32:11didn't learn that in kindergarten, like1:32:13catch up.1:32:14>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. 5 years old.1:32:16>> You didn't learn that that young?1:32:18[laughter] Totally.1:32:19>> When did you learn that?1:32:21>> Just now. 20 seconds ago.1:32:22>> Yeah. Yeah. [laughter]1:32:23>> He's like, I mean, yeah. I mean,1:32:25>> yeah. I was like, whoa, this is really1:32:28this is good stuff.1:32:29>> Wow. [laughter]1:32:31>> Yeah.1:32:31>> This all ties into gossip1:32:33>> right over your head.1:32:34>> I'm like, this guy supports PDFs.1:32:36[laughter]1:32:37>> Yeah. Tie it in. No. Tie it in. Tie it1:32:39in.1:32:39>> I mean, I think that's what it comes1:32:41down to cuz gossiping at the end of the1:32:42day is pride. And I think it's it's two1:32:45things. Pride, ignorance, and arrogance,1:32:47which ties into pride. A lot of people1:32:49don't know that they're doing certain1:32:51things. And then other people are like,1:32:53I know I'm doing it, and I don't care.1:32:55It's like the so what energy, right?1:32:56Like you say, well, they were wrong, so1:32:58I could be just as wrong or even worse1:33:01because they're wrong first. So, I'm1:33:03just defending the truth and I'm doing1:33:04that. Incorrect, guys. The defender of1:33:07truth is Jesus Christ and God. And1:33:09you're supposed to at in in Romans it1:33:12talks about this try your best to live1:33:15at peace with all men with all people.1:33:17Peace is always number one not I'm right1:33:20not oh just truth because there's a lot1:33:22of things that are true that are wrong.1:33:24Right? And so at the end of the day um1:33:27you know you got to be able to put God1:33:29first. You got to be able to seek peace1:33:33first and then with peace it validates1:33:36everything and reconciles everything. So1:33:38that's my advice to everybody else here.1:33:42Not pride, peace, different peace.1:33:45>> Wow. Amazing.1:33:47>> Amen.1:33:47>> That was a great episode.1:33:49>> That concludes this episode on gossip. I1:33:51hope that was very fruitful for you1:33:53guys. And if you guys have any other1:33:56questions or maybe suggestions, put them1:33:58in the comments, guys. Jeremy will read1:34:01them. I might look at them. Who knows?1:34:04But, you know.1:34:05>> Oh, darn. I forgot to say this at the1:34:07beginning of the episode, but I really1:34:08love the comments that have timestamps.1:34:10Like, I've seen comments where they'll1:34:13like leave multiple timestamps of their1:34:14favorite parts throughout the episode.1:34:16I'm going to say this at the beginning1:34:17of the next episode so people can do it.1:34:18Now, you don't have to retroactively go1:34:20back, but please leave comments with1:34:21your just favorite moments with the1:34:22timestamps because it helps people who1:34:24maybe don't have time to watch the full1:34:26episode or whatever. They just click it1:34:27to their moment.1:34:28[clears throat and snorts] You guys are1:34:28basically clipping by leaving those1:34:30timestamps. Like, leave your favorite1:34:32moments of time stamps, please.1:34:33>> Yes. And give like a little description.1:34:35Why? Don't just be like time spam done.1:34:38Like tell us why you clipped that, why1:34:40you chose that, what was impactful,1:34:42etc., etc.1:34:43>> Aaron, you want some glaze? Did you look1:34:45at the top comment of the most recent1:34:46episode?1:34:47>> I know. I saw that.1:34:48>> Yeah. Instead of calling you gay, they1:34:50glazed.1:34:51>> Ladies, relax. Relax. [laughter]1:34:56>> Please, please, please1:34:58>> turn these cameras off. [laughter]1:35:02>> Yes. Thank you, everyone. You're1:35:04welcome. No longer clowning your1:35:06physical appearance like your feet. No1:35:08longer questioning your sexuality.1:35:11[laughter]1:35:11>> Yeah.1:35:13>> God. True. I went from the butt of all1:35:15the comments to some glaze. Finally.1:35:17>> I know you finally. But it's so funny.1:35:20It was like uh I don't know if I told1:35:22this story, but I met someone. They're1:35:23like, "Oh my gosh, I love the podcast.1:35:25You, Jeremy, Eric." I was like, "No,1:35:27that's not his name." [laughter] He was1:35:28like, "Eric, Andrew." I was Aaron. I was1:35:31like the third one.1:35:32>> Andrew. He's like Andrew. Andrew, Aaron,1:35:35I was like, "You really don't watch the1:35:36podcast."1:35:37>> Or when they spell his name with a E.1:35:39>> Yeah. Yeah.1:35:40>> E R I N.1:35:40>> Yeah. The girl way.1:35:42>> Yeah.1:35:42>> Is that the girl way?1:35:43>> Yeah,1:35:43>> I think it is.1:35:45>> Anyways, appreciate you guys for tuning1:35:47in and just like Unlearn wisdom fashion,1:35:50we always end with the prayer. So, let1:35:53us bow our heads and let us pray. Father1:35:56God, we're very appreciative, Lord, that1:35:59you're giving us this episode on1:36:01gossiping. There's so many things that1:36:03we do, including gossiping, God, that we1:36:06don't realize and subconsciously kind of1:36:08perpetuate to everybody around us. Lord,1:36:11please allow us rather than gossip to1:36:14preach the gospel. The gospel is1:36:16something that sets us free, brings1:36:18peace, it reconciles
