0:00Welcome to another episode on the0:02Unlearned Wisdom podcast with yours0:04truly, Johnny Chang, where each episode0:07is a gospel- centered lesson that you0:09could apply to your life today,0:11tomorrow, and forever more.0:13>> Ooh, remix. [laughter]0:16>> What's today's episode?0:17>> Today's episode is episode 45, and we're0:20going to be talking about listening.0:22>> Wait, what? Listen.0:24[laughter]0:25So, put your listening ears on. And uh0:29receptive skills is what we're going to0:30go over. Why is listening important? It0:34really is important because if you don't0:36hear anything and somebody's spitting0:37bars, like what are you going to you're0:39not going to catch it?0:41>> Lit literally.0:43>> So, yeah, we're going to go over all of0:45that. Guys, listening and receptive0:47skills.0:48>> I got a quick question.0:49>> Yes. When you guys put on socks for the0:51day, do you guys have to find a place to0:53sit? Like, do you sit on the edge0:54[snorts] ed edge of your bed or do you0:55like stand up and I stand up and I0:57balance?0:58>> Me, too.0:59>> Cuz I'm a man.1:00>> So, I mean, same here. I was just1:02saying. Why? What was that? Why did you1:04look at me like that?1:04>> That question is when you do you sit?1:08>> No, because [laughter]1:09I have my friend that does that at1:10night. He sits at night.1:12>> I do sit sometimes. The question is1:14crazy because it's so like specific that1:17I've never even thought [snorts] about1:18it which means you probably sit because1:21who else thinks of that question?1:22>> No, today I sat because [laughter]1:26>> I tried it for the first time. I tried1:28it for the first time to what's so1:30funny. [snorts]1:32>> Sure, buddy.1:33>> No, today was the dude because my closet1:36is far from any sitting place but today1:37for some reason1:38>> Oh, yeah. Your closet is far for sure.1:40[laughter]1:42What's so funny? Explain that.1:44>> You stepped out the closet. [laughter]1:48>> Anyways,1:49um today I take the socks out, but for1:52some reason I was just feeling tired, so1:54I sat down. It's much more pleasant1:56experience.1:57>> So I was like, I understand why people1:59have those little benches in front of2:01their beds.2:01>> Oh, the the foot lockers. They're called2:03foot lockers.2:04>> Foot lockers. Yeah. I'm like, oh, I2:05understand that now. Now I want one. But2:09>> makes sense. Or you2:10>> Yeah. Really deep conversation. I hope2:11you guys got something [laughter] out of2:12that. You're such you're such an old2:14man. You're beating the old man2:16allegations. Like2:17>> literally, bro,2:19dude,2:20>> why why do you even put so much thought2:22and time into just putting your freaking2:23socks on? I've never spent more than 202:25seconds less 10 seconds.2:28>> What about long socks when you have to2:30like, you know,2:31>> long socks?2:31>> Like you have to accordion it with one2:33leg.2:34>> That's exactly what Right. That's2:35exactly what you do. Do you guys ever2:37hear this saying, "The longer the socks,2:39the downer the foo."2:42[laughter]2:42>> You heard of that?2:44>> They got the ones all the way up to the2:45>> literally That's like a gangster. That's2:47like They It's called sock checking.2:49Shout out to my my Mexican friends. But2:52they literally do that. They sock check2:53you. It's hilarious.2:54>> What What about when you go like use a2:56locker or like a spa somewhere? You2:58usually sit on the bench.2:59>> It's such a much much more pleasant3:01experience.3:02>> When I go to the gym, I'm not touching3:03that bench. I'm not going to lie. I see3:05so much bare bottom on that bench.3:08>> You're in a towel.3:09>> I don't even put my backpack on the3:11bench. [snorts] I literally3:13while my stuff is hanging in the locker,3:15I get dressed, put my socks and shoes3:16on, and head out.3:17>> What gym do you go to?3:19>> Gold's gym.3:20>> Okay. I understand why you wouldn't put3:21it down there, but I mean, you know,3:23[laughter] where I go, where I go.3:25>> Oh, okay. Okay.3:26>> I actually don't have a gym membership.3:27Oh, [laughter]3:30>> okay. Anyways, moving on. Um,3:34moving [laughter] on. Oh, wait. I have3:35one more thing. I have one more thing.3:36And I think this would just be it made3:38me think about the capabilities of a3:41human.3:41>> There's this kid, I think he's like 193:43years old on Instagram. And his3:45Instagram handle is literally Luke3:47Proof. And what he does is3:50>> he will learns a skill in a day. So, one3:53of the videos is like, I don't train for3:55marathons. And he runs 50 miles in a3:57day. So, basically two marathons. It's3:59insane. He also learns the saxophone in4:02a day, like learning a song in a day,4:04how to do a a wheelie on a motorbike in4:06a day, learns the piano, wins a pickle4:09ball tournament. He's like, "I'm good at4:10ping pong. I've never played pickle4:11ball." Learns pickle ball. Wins a4:13tournament like just like a local4:14amateur tournament. Wow.4:15>> And so over and over and over, he's just4:18doing these things where he's just4:19locked in for a day and he completely4:21What's so funny?4:22>> I don't know [laughter] what I used to4:24>> What's going on today?4:25>> This is funny. All but all but but what4:28that what I realized is how much time I4:30waste in a day4:32>> and just by locking in like this kid4:35learned acoustic guitar. He like read4:37like three business books. He ran 504:39miles. It's like if you just cut out all4:41distractions you could get so much done4:44in the day%4:45>> and I'm just like4:46>> that's the thing in 2026. I'm like I4:48need to just get rid of distractions.4:50>> My pastor too would say that. He's like,4:52"Oh, you know," he dumbed it down to4:54like 2 minutes per page, average4:56reading. King James has 1500 pages on4:59average, 3,000. So, if you spend eight5:01hours a day, you could finish the Bible5:03in ex like a week. And I'm like, "Dang,5:06that's kind of true." But then5:07obviously, who's spending eight hours a5:09day reading the Bible, right? But5:10>> you don't read the Bible eight hours a5:12day. [snorts]5:12>> I don't read the Bible eight hours a5:14day.5:15>> If you do, you you got a problem. Let me5:18just [laughter] You got a great problem.5:19No, but um yeah, it's eight hours a day.5:22I'm like, man, the pastor and he's read5:23like triple digits. Not Pastor Kim, the5:25the head pastor of our mission. But5:27>> bro, that's crazy.5:29>> Would you ever [snorts]5:30sit there on live stream and read the5:32Bible all the way through? Like try to5:34read it all the way through. Then you5:36could sleep. You could sleep, but you5:37got to sleep on live.5:38>> Oh, like how? Like a live marathon.5:40>> Yeah. You wake up, you wake up, you read5:42the Bible, you're reading it out loud,5:44too.5:45>> It would take you more than a week.5:47>> I mean, we'll keep going. You have to5:49read it out loud and then you know 85:51hours a day.5:52>> That's easy. No more than 8 hours a day.5:55>> That would be a crazy challenge. Johnny5:56Johnny Chang on live stream too.5:59>> Wow.6:00>> Shake. I don't want to shake your dirty6:02disgusting sick hand. But this is counts6:04as it right. This is proof6:06>> with a witness.6:07>> What do I get though?6:09>> You get to literally be the guy that has6:12read the Bible straight. [sighs]6:14>> That's too easy. I'm just kidding. Wait,6:16can somebody look up Jamie? Can you look6:19up how fast someone has read the entire6:21Bible6:22>> in one like I don't know.6:23>> But how do you even gauge that? They6:25have to sit there and someone's there's6:26probably a Guinness Book of Worlds6:28Record guy just sitting there in a6:29chair.6:30>> But6:30>> have you guys seen the fast readers6:32where like6:34>> that's got to be [laughter]6:36got to be.6:36>> Yeah.6:39>> And he's like what does page 73 say?6:41He's like [laughter] phrases like what?6:45>> Okay. So this guy did it in 87 hours.6:50>> How is that poss? No, it makes sense.6:52Like I said, in a week6:54>> is that is that about a week?6:56>> No.6:56>> Well, a week is 168 hours, but you6:58wouldn't go the whole time. You wouldn't6:59[snorts] go straight.7:00>> Exactly.7:01>> Yeah. You'd have to sleep and take7:02breaks.7:02>> That's about a week. 87 hours. You could7:04do it in about a week.7:05>> My pastor, that pastor said he can read7:06the Bible in a week.7:08>> Wow.7:08>> I was like, dang, that's good. That's7:10beasty. We're all behind, guys. Like7:12straight7:13>> straight up. If you like wake up, read7:15the Bible until you go to sleep and then7:17do that for a week, you could get7:18through it.7:18>> My goal is to read complete the Bible.7:21I'm in Psalms currently.7:23>> Nice. What? What? What number?7:24>> Psalms 23.7:26>> Oh, so you just went past 22. 22 is7:30about Jesus.7:31>> Is it?7:31>> Yeah. Where he gets crucified and the7:33guy wags his head and they're mocking7:35him and he's7:36>> I'm at the part I remember the verse.7:38Maybe this is in 23. I think it's 23.7:41It's uh David is basically like like7:44pluck my the enemies out of my like the7:46eyes out of my it's kind of like a very7:48violent I actually wanted to ask you7:50that. Okay. It's it's a it's like a7:52>> yes that's in Psalm 227:5521 actually 23 is7:58>> somewhere around there but but why is it8:00so basically in Psalms David is praying8:02to God or asking God to basically8:04destroy his enemies8:06>> but it's like very descriptive of like8:08break their bones, take their eyes out8:09of their head.8:10>> Yeah. He's mad. Do you know why?8:12>> Because he was just promised to get the8:14kingdom and then King Saul threw a spear8:17towards him and tried to nail a pin him8:18to the wall and he had to run ca he had8:20to cave hop. Psalms was written in caves8:24but it's the most beautiful book in the8:25Bible they say which is crazy right in8:28your most chaotic time where you're8:30promised something and then God8:32cultivates his patience, cultivates his8:34longsuffering almost like Job 2.0 he's8:37like pissed and he's crying out. He's8:38like, "God, how long will you not hear8:40my prayers?" He says that in Psalm 17,8:42Psalm 16. He's like, "How long will you8:45do this?" And like, you know, "Please8:47come to me." And then he just goes into8:48straight savage mode. Destroy them. Take8:51their eyes off. Take their ears off.8:53Skin them. It's like, dang. Like, he's8:55just going crazy.8:56>> Can I tell you how I read that, though?8:58I I read that as, "Oh, this this is what9:01he's praying to God for."9:02>> You get what I'm saying? It's like, oh,9:04that's how you can pray to God when9:06you're the way you can, though.9:08>> Yes. Yes. Yes. But how you're explaining9:09is he's just venting. Whereas I think9:11>> he's not venting though. He's genuinely9:14asking God because he's anger. He's9:16angry with righteous anger.9:18>> But God doesn't do that. Obviously, he's9:20showing him like I allowed this to9:21happen. The reason why King Saul fell9:24was because he became king like9:25overnight. King David cultivated many9:28years like he promised him something and9:30then he had to wait for that promise.9:32That's why he was such a good king.9:34>> Um9:34>> you know what they say,9:36>> patience. You used to always say it.9:38>> What?9:39>> The harder they rise, the faster they9:41fall. That's9:42>> so fast.9:42>> Oh, that rhymes. The harder they rise,9:44the faster they fall. That's King Saul.9:46>> Yeah,9:46>> that's true, though.9:47>> That is true.9:48>> That's true. People who blow up9:50overnight also like disappear overnight,9:52right? Isn't that true?9:53>> Yeah.9:54>> One hit wonders. I see that in the music9:56industry.9:57>> Easy.9:58>> Yeah.9:58>> It's because like if it's one singular10:01thing like and you haven't spent a long10:03time like building that up, then it can10:04just crumble super quickly, too. It's10:06not a sturdy base. Like if a bunch of10:09people an artist blows up in a year and10:10a bunch of people follow them in a year,10:12it's like unless they just keep doing10:13exactly what they were doing forever,10:16>> that's not a true fan. Like they can't10:17really switch up or change anything.10:19>> Okay. But let me ask you this.10:20>> It takes still 10 years to make an10:23overnight star. So let's take like a10:25real like a what's a really big one hit10:28wonder? We'll say like uh You're10:29Beautiful by James Blunt. It wasn't like10:31James Blunt just picked up a piano that10:33that year and learned. He was still10:35trying to be an artist. You get what I'm10:37saying? So, so it's the same for Johnny,10:39right? He was 10 years of preaching the10:41gospel and that's why we're having kind10:43of this explosive growth, right? It's10:44just different levers.10:46>> Why? Why? It's It's not like James Blunt10:49wanted to have one hit.10:50>> The difference is that the 10 years is10:52the sturdy foundation. And James Blunt,10:54I can't I don't know a lot about what10:56happened, but I'll use another example.10:57Someone like, and I don't want to throw10:59any shade, but someone like Ice Spice.11:01It's like, when you blow up that fast,11:03sure, she's probably been in music for a11:05while, but not 10 years. 10 years ago,11:06she was what, like eight.11:08>> So, it's like, I'm just saying11:09>> when you blow up that fast, people11:11already just don't like you the next11:13year. You go do something kind of corny11:14with Spongebob and everyone hates on it.11:17You don't have like a true support group11:18to defend her. Be like, "No, wait. She's11:20the best." No, it's like you people who11:22kind of messed with her last year when11:23she was on top and now it's like no11:25one's going to really fight in the11:26comments for ice spice, you know? It's11:28just like I don't know.11:29>> It's just a random example, but11:30>> are we in the comments fighting for rice11:32spice? [laughter]11:36>> Ice rice.11:39>> Yeah. Well, interesting.11:41>> Yeah.11:41>> Interesting. Well, so you better not11:43give up. Okay.11:44>> Oh, I can't. This is interweaved with my11:46life.11:48>> [snorts]11:48>> I'd give up everything before I give up11:50the gospel. So try me. [laughter]11:54>> Just kidding.11:55>> Wait, so why are you all stuffed up?11:56What happened?11:57>> I got sickies, man. I don't know what11:58the hell happened. I go to Dallas, meet12:027,000 people, then come home and have12:047,000 bacteria in my [laughter]12:07shut up. I I just It's so bad. It's like12:10I literally was dying. I haven't been12:12knocked down by this for a while. And I12:16feel like Tik Tok is listening because I12:18I go on Tik Tok12:21and they're like adrenal virus and this12:23and it's like there's this weird virus12:25that's going around and I've been sick12:27for seven years and it's like12:29>> what the hell, dude? Legit. I I feel it12:32though. Like I was I was fevered out. I12:35was chills. I was like body was aching12:38and I was fighting my freaking internet12:40company because they were scamming me.12:42And then I went to another internet12:43company that scammed me again.12:45And then I was like really sad. And I12:47don't know if that stressed me out and12:49made me even sicker, but I can't shake12:52it.12:52>> You should hit up Dr. 26th.12:55>> You should hit him up. He'll probably12:56tell you what to do.12:58>> Yeah, but he's he he will.13:00>> Yeah, [laughter]13:02>> but King.13:03>> Hey, the other thing I was going to say13:05was apparently there's a strain of flu13:07cuz Justin said he's getting his butt13:08kicked, too.13:09>> Yeah. Yeah. I hope I didn't get you13:11sick, Justie. I'm sorry if you see this.13:13>> Yeah. Yeah.13:13>> Do you guys get flu shots every year?13:15>> Nope.13:17>> They're they're the scam. They they13:19hurt. But what what do they say? They13:20like they they give you AIDS or like13:22whatever. It's like crazy.13:23>> Autism.13:24>> Yeah. I don't know about that. Full of13:26aluminum.13:27>> I don't get them.13:27>> No, I don't get them.13:28>> Me neither. Like I was I was home for13:30Christmas and my family was sitting. I13:32was like, "Oh, the flu is really bad13:33this [snorts] year. There's a new13:34strain. Like everyone make sure to get13:35your Have you gotten it yet? Have you13:36gotten it yet?" Like half of them did.13:37And I'm like, I'm not going to lie, I13:39haven't gotten a flu shot like since I13:41left home at 18. Like it's been 1213:44years. I've never walked myself into13:46like a Walgreens to get a flu shot.13:50>> Here's the thing about the flu shot.13:52They're they're making it based off last13:54year's flu. So the flu this year is a13:56different flu. Really? I heard it's not13:58doing nothing.13:59>> It's kind of like MS or whatever where14:01it's like the s it's like too many14:03vaccines make you it brings the super14:06virus out.14:07>> Gossipot is officially live. I made an14:10AI chatbot built from everything I've14:12ever taught. Yeah, tell the t-shirt story.15:42>> Oh, that was the receptive skills story.15:45>> Yeah. Yeah, I knew it. I knew there was15:47some lesson. Hey, I knew it. [laughter]15:50>> I told him there was a whole lesson in15:51this pile.15:53>> He's right again. [laughter]15:56>> No, that's15:58celebrate. Incredible. Police back16:00again. Yeah.16:01>> Should I tell them why we're going back16:03and forth? Yeah.16:04>> Basically, Johnny told me this16:05incredible story and he was like, "Oh, I16:07was on mainstage telling everybody about16:09what happened to me and when I went to16:10winter retreat." It was this really good16:12story. It was about receptive skills and16:13listening. I was like, "Dude, hey, are16:15you willing to tell this on the16:16podcast?" He's like, "Yeah." I'm like,16:17"Okay, that's the next episode." He's16:18like, "All right." He's like, "I'll16:20write it down. Today, [clears throat] we16:21show up. There's two questions on the16:23outline." And I'm like, "I don't really16:25remember it either, but I I don't16:26remember it being this." And he was16:27like, "There was no story. [laughter]16:31this is it. And then it just clicked in16:33all our minds now.16:34>> Sorry, guys.16:34>> But great. Hey, but now you're about to16:36unlock the whole episode. So, let's go.16:38>> So, so basically, um, I was in Dallas16:41and I I did a conference. We do a16:43conference every year where we bring out16:46four to 5,000 people16:48>> all over the world.16:49>> All over the world. This time around16:51there was close to 7,000. I think it was16:53like 6,000 something, right?16:55>> And so, we'll say 7,000. So, I get16:58there. I'm only going to go there for17:00like 2 days. I'm like, I got to work. We17:02got to catch up. Like, we work. They17:04don't You guys don't know. We work17:05through the holidays, too. Like, it's17:07crazy over here. So, I'm like, "All17:09right, I'mma go. I'mma just do this this17:11little conference. I'm not going to17:13speak. I'm going to go there and I'm17:14going to chill and just meet up with all17:16the core of the heart people. Maybe see17:18some baptisms." Great. I get there. My17:20flight leaves out at 700 p.m. on the17:2426th or the 25th, I'm sorry. I get there17:26on the 24th. [snorts] Flight leaves out17:28on the 25th.17:31Um, all of a sudden the head honcho and17:33Pastor Kim come up to me. Hey Johnny,17:36um, you need to give your testimony and17:39you need to go up there. And I was like,17:41but my flight is at 7 and the testimony17:44time starts at 7:00. Okay, we'll figure17:46it out, you know. All right. So, I17:48cancel my flight, you know. I go and I17:51try to like I'm spending two hours17:53trying to figure it out. Long story17:54short, my flight gets moved.17:56Everything's good. Everything's kosher.17:58Now, mind you, I didn't come with any18:00expectation to be speaking. So, I had18:03clothes just like this, big oversized18:05tea, linen pants, you know, I I and18:09Pastor Kim was like, "Take off your18:10chains." I was like, "No problem." Took18:12off my chains and I get up there and uh18:16they're like running it through me.18:18Okay, what are you going to say? What18:19are you going to talk about? Et, etc.18:21Cool. Everything's good. Right when I18:23get up, there's there's a pastor there18:25who's the MC of the whole place. And18:27he's like a big head honcho. One of the18:29top dogs in New York, too. And as soon18:31as I get there, he gives me this look18:34like this.18:35>> Yeah. [laughter]18:38>> Up and down look. And I'm like, "Yes,18:41pastor." He's like, "Why do you choose18:44that shirt to wear?" And I'm like, "Uh,18:47what do you mean?" And then Pastor John18:49kind of like steps in to kind of see and18:51he's like, "Oh, it's okay." And then18:53he's like, "Ah." He's like looking18:55around and he's like, "Hey, brother,18:56you." Now, mind you, they they're like18:58moving these stages around. They're19:00doing big old performances. They're19:02dancing. They're rehearsing all day.19:04This shirt is a collared shirt. It's one19:06of our, you know, like like collar just19:09polo shirts, right? And bro is drenched.19:13I'm looking at him, I'm like, "Bro is19:15drenched, dude."19:15>> Oh, no. and young Korean kid drenched.19:19He's [snorts] like, "Here, take give him19:20your shirt." And I was like,19:22>> "No, thank you, right?" And I'm like,19:24"No." And then so he he takes off his19:27shirt. He gives it to me. And it just19:29smells like straight up bo. No19:31disrespect, but I'm just being honest.19:32It smells like bo19:33>> and I'm like immediately I have thoughts19:35like why am I doing this? You know, like19:38you guys asked me to come up here. Like19:40I'm me. I've never been a Pastor Kim.19:41I'm like asking like where is Pastor19:43Kim? you know, like, but Pastor Kim's19:45already outside with the head honcho19:47sitting in the front.19:48>> And I just look at Pastor John and19:50Pastor John's face is like,19:52>> "Please, like, it's like this face of19:54like, Johnny, please don't crash out."19:56>> Yeah. Don't crash out. [laughter]19:57And I'm like, and right there I was20:01like, "All right." You know,20:02[sighs and gasps] and so I just wore it20:04and it was stinky [laughter]20:07and I was like, "Dang, bro. I be20:09smelling like onions and all that." And20:11so I'm like, "All right, whatever." And20:13so I go up there and then it just I just20:16sit there and I feel frustrated because20:18I'm like I'm me, you know, like you20:20can't stop me from being me. But right20:23then and there I started to like one20:25thought came to me. Wow, Johnny, you20:27listen to Satan so well. Like why don't20:30you like see that he's an MC? He's got20:33to set it up a certain way and then like20:36it may feel other pastors feel some type20:37of way because people already feel some20:39type of way about me. like why do I get20:42these special treatment and like I get20:44frustrated when I don't get the special20:46treatment and etc etc right and so20:48[snorts]20:49I end up just just having that heart and20:51then what the pastor he he slapped my20:54hand right he's like good job let's go20:56up there I finally get to hear your20:58testimony and that obviously rubbed me21:00the wrong way because I'm like who at21:02this church hasn't heard my testimony21:04right we're literally famous for this21:06but I again I took I realized that21:08everything was just information21:11that he was like, "There's a set21:13schedule. There's a protocol we must21:15follow. It's nothing personal. I'm just21:18telling you, Johnny, you [snorts] should21:20wear this." And that and I took it as21:21that. And then after that, it just21:23shrugged it off.21:24>> Stronger man than me.21:25>> And so I get up there, I tell my21:27testimony, and you know, when he goes,21:30"You know, we have Johnny Chang from LA21:32Church." Everyone goes nuts. The whole21:34place is like raw, right? They're like21:36and I'm like whoa there's a lot of21:38people here from core of the heart and21:40so um what I was told was like 20%21:43something like that was like core of the21:45heart people which is nuts dude which is21:48like 1,400 people something like that21:50right if you do the math so I'm over21:52here like yo this is crazy and right21:55then I was able to not have my own21:58thoughts in it but thought about like22:00okay why did they tell me to come up22:01here how thankful would the other people22:04be like when I remove myself out of it22:06and stopped listening to self and22:08started to listen to what Pastor John22:10said, what Pastor Kim said. He said,22:11"This will be really good for you."22:12Pastor John said, "I've been praying22:13about this." Like, Johnny, just go up22:15there. And, you know, obviously went up,22:17killed it on stage, came back down, and22:20even that pastor in the end shook my22:22hand and was like, "Man, good job, bro."22:23Like, "Good job." And so, I realized22:25[snorts] a lot of people don't know who22:27I am even in amongst our church because22:29we're in 90 different countries, 2,20022:32churches collectively. Not everybody's22:34going to know me. and maybe they see me22:36online and they see some type of thing22:38just like other people who think I'm a22:40heretic or whatever, right? They don't22:41know who I am. And for me to think that,22:44you know, they know me and they should22:46know me was number one already incorrect22:48heart posture. And I didn't I'm getting22:50mad that they're not hearing me out when22:52I didn't even want to hear them out. So22:54that just made me and I was telling this22:56story to Jeremy and he's like, "Bro,22:57this is we got to talk about this cuz22:59it's so true. foundationally receptive23:02skills. Listening is the most important23:05thing. You have to listen to hear the23:07gospel. If you don't, if you're23:09listening just to respond, then that's23:11not humility, that's pride. And pride23:14makes us deaf. Fear also makes us deaf.23:17Arrogance makes us deaf. And so, a lot23:20of people I notice nowadays are [snorts]23:22they're23:23>> Call him Helen Keller. [laughter]23:26>> He can't see and he can't hear. Dang,23:28that's crazy. But like literally a lot23:30of people I'm noticing are their issue23:33is not anything struggling with sin.23:37Their struggle is listening. Is23:39listening to understand, listening to23:42connect. That's their problem. They're23:44listening to respond. Most people aren't23:46listening. They're just waiting their23:47turn to speak.23:49>> And it's kind of crazy.23:50>> You can tell so much, too. Like I can't23:53stand it, but you can tell when someone23:54you're talking to is just waiting for23:56their turn to speak.23:57>> Not listening to you at all. I'm not23:59going [snorts] to lie. I don't even want24:00to call out who in my life is guilty of24:02this. But24:02>> yeah, don't don't call it out. It wasn't24:05you. It wasn't you. But24:06>> it's not us. We actually all hella24:08honestly I must say we're all very24:10receptive to everything from sleepy wall24:12to everybody here. We're literally very24:14receptive. I I as a leader I can see24:17that.24:17>> Yeah.24:18>> In that story24:20if I was in your shoes I could24:22understand of you know it's on your24:25program, it's on your time. I'll move my24:26flight. I'll do all those things.24:27whatever you guys want. When it comes24:29down to the sweaty shirt, it's just24:31gross. You know what I'm saying? So,24:33like that's where I just kind of be24:34like, "Hey, look."24:35>> Well, that's where I put myself aside,24:37right? Where I'm like, there it's crunch24:39time. They're on a schedule.24:42>> It's I can't, you know what I mean? I24:44could have probably fought more and be24:45like, I'm going to wear my shirt, but24:47like I understand that it's just to for24:50professionalism. It's just for other24:52people. Like, and when I can think about24:55other people, which I've been trained to24:56do, then it doesn't really become a24:59problem. Cuz then it's weird when I get25:01up there and the adrenaline's there.25:02You're not worried about the smell.25:04>> You're like, "Oh, it obviously when25:05you're pissed, you nitpick everything."25:08But also, I could see like, "Bro, it's25:09not that big of a deal." Like,25:11>> you're up there for 15 minutes. Like,25:13you can't wear a nasty shirt.25:16>> Oh, Johnny, you need this.25:18>> It's so crazy. Did you were you wearing25:20a undershirt or did you25:21>> No, it was I was just bare raw, bro.25:24>> Oh my god.25:24>> Hey, whoever you and him have made a25:26connection25:27>> not at all. I made a hateful connection.25:30[laughter]25:30>> No, but I think25:31>> Oh, no. Were you going to say25:32>> was he just shirtless on the side?25:34>> No. No. Then he he had his he had his25:36another shirt that he wore, too. But25:38that other shirt I got a clean shirt25:39I'll wear.25:39>> No, that one was also nasty.25:41>> Oh god.25:42>> Yeah, I think he gave me the the lesser25:44of both like evils, you know?25:46>> Yeah, it was okay. That is the special25:49treatment is like they want you to look25:51good in front of everyone to the point25:52where they're going to take someone's25:53shirt off their own back to make sure25:55that you can see it that way.25:57>> And it's like um lesson learned on your25:59part that like even when they tell you26:01you're not going to speak pack.26:03>> Yeah. That's that's lowkey what he was26:05saying that pastor was like why do you26:07like you've been here you know what time26:08it is. We're very like26:10>> up and down and quick and you know26:12impulsive. Why are you not? And of26:14course I can argue that Jeremy26:15[laughter] Jeremy is like so you because26:18he goes like [laughter] like this is26:21what he's doing.26:24>> And then when he swallows he when he26:26like swallows his pride you guys will26:27notice he'll go like this. [laughter]26:30>> Let's be going to my happy place.26:32>> Literally26:35>> literally memes.26:37>> Oh my gosh.26:37>> Happy place. I'm like landing in a field26:39of daisies [laughter] and there's26:40puppies and kittens jumping on me and26:42little baby ducklings.26:44>> That's so funny. [laughter] But yeah,26:46no, it's not like like they don't they26:48didn't want you to have to wear a smelly26:50shirt.26:50>> Of course,26:51>> if it was up to him, you would have like26:52had one. That wasn't the26:54>> It just had to happen. And you're right.26:56You're a team player. It's crunch time.26:57It's26:58>> guys be a team player. At the end of the27:00day, I gained their hearts, too. I know27:02those pastors feel some type of way27:04about me. And it's actually out of good27:05intention in that they're scared that27:07I'm going to get high-hearted. A lot of27:09people in our church have hit stages27:11where they do like coliseums, maybe not27:13here, but like in Korea, and they lost27:16it all. They think they're the tough,27:18hotish, like straight up. And so I get27:20it. They they're also kind of sensitive27:22towards that. But27:23>> but that's why Pastor John's like, "You27:25got to get up there." Like he was27:27begging me. I I literally didn't want to27:28go up there. Core of the heart people,27:30you guys know I was there. I was27:32stressing out a little. I was like,27:32"Man, I don't want to go up there."27:33They're like, they're all happy, but I27:35was like, you're not the one that has to27:36go up in front of that many people in27:38front of the head honcho. I was like,27:40and I put it in perspective for them. I27:41was like, "Guys, tell me if it's true or27:43not." I'm like, "That's like you guys27:44going up and I'm sitting in the crowd27:46just watching you." Like, that feels a27:48different type of pressure. It's like I27:50I don't like preaching in front of27:51Pastor Kim because it's like I know he's27:54going to be like, "Ah, Johnny, you could27:56have said this. You could have said27:57that." Like even if he doesn't, I'm27:58like, "Bro, that's my master right28:00there." You know, like I don't know. I'm28:02It's extra heavy. And then not only him,28:05but all the big dogs were there. The one28:07that started the mission, the one that's28:09from New York. I mean, I'm just like,28:11"Oh my gosh, dude. This is too much28:14pressure for me." You know, I'm good28:16when when no one It's like you being in28:18front of your family, preaching the28:19gospel to your family versus some random28:21person on the street. It's way easier to28:23talk to that random person cuz they28:24can't sit there and go, "Oh, well yeah,28:26Jeremy, what happened to all the Iawaska28:28things that you did? You know, about God28:30now." And then Jeremy has to go like28:32this.28:34[laughter]28:37>> Wait, so finish what you were saying.28:38You said something really interesting at28:39the end where you said it's not even28:41that people are struggling with sin,28:42they struggle with receptive skills.28:44>> Receptive skills. So there it's28:46difficult for people because we're just28:48taught to want to say something. I was28:50on Bryce Crawford's podcast and in that28:54in that episode of the Christian28:56Avengers where I met him like literally28:59I spoke six times maybe five times29:02maximum. I don't waste my words and I29:04just whatever. And there was a lot of29:05times where I wanted to say something29:07and someone would literally just jump in29:09and I and Bryce is young but I kudos to29:12him. He noticed he's like there was a29:14time where like you and Angela from29:16Girls Gone Bible were going to say29:18something and you're like go ahead29:19sister and then like you just let her.29:21He's like, I kind of peeped that and I29:23realized like how did you have that type29:25of discernment to be like it's not about29:27me you guys can go ahead you know when29:30all of us were like kind of ego like29:32checking ego checking right and so29:34[snorts] I was like um it's because we29:37have to learn that like listening is29:40always more powerful than actually29:42speaking when you listen people start to29:45like leak out a lot of things about29:47themselves without even realizing it.29:49So, I've just been taught probably from29:51gang culture as well as the Bible that29:54man, you like loose lips sink ships, but29:57also like loose lips reveal hearts. 100%30:01reveals your heart. What's in your30:02subconscious, it reveals it all. So,30:04I've just learned to be like, listen.30:06And most people don't even have that.30:09They're just so quick to like share,30:11share, share, share, share. And I've30:13seen tapes of people snitching and I'm30:16just like, "Bro is just sharing30:18everything that he doesn't need to30:19share." Lawyers, what's the first thing30:21they tell you? I don't know. I've never30:23been in trouble. But I heard from my30:24lawyer friends, they say, "Don't say30:27anything. Plead the fifth. Ask for your30:30lawyer and seek legal counsel and that's30:33it. Ask for counsel and that's it." But30:35like even the smallest things, I've seen30:37people get locked away for saying,30:38"Yeah, I wasn't I was in the area, but30:40it was just this." and it got them like30:42they were like they they pinned it on30:44and like 10 years later they're like oh30:46they weren't actually there. It was like30:48something that happened and it's30:49[snorts] just crazy. So yeah,30:51>> how do you know if you're truly30:52listening to someone? You know what I'm30:53saying? Because I think it's it's like30:56yeah, I'm hearing the words that are30:57coming to you out of your mouth, but I30:58don't think that's what you mean, right?31:00It's not just hearing whatever you're31:01saying.31:01>> Yeah. I think it's um first and31:03foremost, listening is not agreement. A31:05lot of people think listening is I agree31:07with you. That means um it's31:08confirmation. Listening is all about31:10humility. It's having the maturity to be31:13like, I may not agree with you, but I31:15hear what you're saying, right? And so31:17it's it's you don't have to agree in31:20order to listen, right? A lot of the31:22times, like for example, I use [snorts]31:23the analogy of like getting pulled over.31:26There's times where you're you guys know31:27you're not going the speed limit or the31:29cop made a mistake like honestly and31:31they're like, "Okay, you know how fast31:33you made the wrong turn." You're like,31:34"What? I don't I don't think I did." But31:36you heard them even though you like, you31:39know, don't agree with it. You listen in31:41the same context. It's like, I don't31:43know about that. I'm not there, but I31:45respect you enough to hear you out.31:47That's what listening is. It's just31:49hearing a person out. And listening in31:51con Greek is ao, which is an auditory31:54hearing of a person and also a spiritual31:57listening of a person. It's like what is31:59this person trying to say? Not what am I32:02hearing and what am I interpreting and32:04what am I assuming you're saying. What32:06are you actually saying? That's what32:08hearing is. And yeah,32:10>> I'm I doubt that you just got that right32:12off the bat. So, at what point in your32:14walk or what point in your life were you32:15were like it clicked for me? Like this32:17experience32:18>> taught me what listening was.32:20>> Okay. So, I I learned it after I32:23released control. So that was about32:25three to four years into my walk because32:28I used to try to control the32:30conversation because when I didn't have32:32control of it then two things I would be32:35vulnerable and I would be scared that32:37they would misunderstand me. So that's32:39why I say fear32:40>> makes you deaf because when you're32:43listening someone the way I would hear32:44them was I would take everything32:46offensively.32:47>> I would feel like what they're saying is32:49attacking my identity and my character.32:51Even though if it's just like, "Hey,32:53bro, can you pick up the dishes?"32:54Immediately I'll be like, "Are you32:56saying that I'm lazy?" Like right there,32:58I would interpret those things. And so33:00what I realized Pastor Kim would teach33:02me was, "Johnny, you're trying to33:04control situations because you're33:06operating off of fear. And if you don't33:08control something, then you feel like33:10you're out of control and then it's not33:12in control and then you're you're you're33:14you feel like you're in danger." And so33:16when I learned to trust God more, I33:19stopped controlling the conversation. It33:21was a byproduct. It didn't make me try33:23to listen more. I just was like, "Hey,33:26even if these people don't understand33:27me, God, you understand me, and you will33:30make every crooked path straight. You33:32will make every ear hear. You will make33:34everything that's misunderstood clear as33:36day. You will make chaotic things33:38peaceful." And when I trusted him, I33:41wasn't like, "You got to understand me."33:43Before that was my thing. You got to33:45understand though. You got to33:46understand. And people make fun of me.33:47You got to understand though. Like what33:48do you mean, bro? And now it's do you33:51understand? Understand? I understand.33:52[laughter] Before it's you got to33:54understand. Now it's like understand. So33:56it's different, right? I've changed. So33:58I was just smiling like I've heard that34:01many times. But yeah, so genuinely like34:04I think it was more of when I stopped34:06being fearful and when I stopped taking34:09everything um personal and more34:12constructive. And there's times where34:13you still struggle. Like I struggle with34:15it time to time where I'm just like is34:17this person saying that right? And like34:19Jeremy says things like you're speaking34:21to Gollum and I don't know who Gollum is34:23but he's like [snorts] Johnny you.34:25There's times where like he'll say34:26something and he's very direct and I'll34:28be like is bro trying to say something?34:30But what I do is I try to confirm with34:32him. Right guys also listening is34:35confirmation. It's a it's a really good34:37exercise to go hey I'm hearing this. Is34:40this what you're saying? That in itself34:43clears up everything. But we don't do34:44that. We make statements. Oh, but you34:47said this. No, no, no. Are you saying34:49this? That instead of you said this, are34:51you saying this is going to be really34:53clear34:54>> and do it in that tone used? Are you34:55saying this? That's going to make34:57somebody really excited to, you know,34:59really get through it.35:00>> No, no, that's how you do it to me.35:02>> No. [laughter]35:04Hey, hey, hey, check this out. Is that35:06Is that what you were saying to me35:07earlier? Uh, no, Mr. Mr. [laughter]35:09Gold. So, if you haven't seen Lord of35:11the Rings, there's a little character.35:13So, as Frodo, whole premise of the movie35:15is he's trying to destroy this evil ring35:17and he meets this little like goblin35:19character.35:20>> Smeaggle and Smegle wants to help him,35:22you know, he knows where to get the ring35:24to how to destroy the ring,35:26>> but Smeaggle has a dark side35:28>> and he turns into Golem and it's like35:30the second voice in his head.35:31>> So, we're all Smeigg Smeaggle.35:33>> No,35:34>> my ring.35:34>> Yeah, we're all Smeaggle. We want35:36>> you have a dark.35:37>> No, but you're more but you have like35:39heavy Gollum and Smeaggel.35:41[laughter]35:42>> Turn off the podcast. Gollum's telling35:44me35:46>> like Gollum and like they'll be at the35:48same time. So like Gollum like no kill35:50them. And he's like no but I love them.35:51He's like no kill them and take the35:53ring. Yeah.35:54>> I must kill them. [screaming]35:57[laughter]35:59>> He like snaps out of it.36:01>> Was like what the hell is going on?36:03>> Yeah. That's you. [snorts] I'm sorry.36:05[laughter]36:06I'm sorry.36:07>> So, the analogy is we all have a little36:09Smeaggle or a lot of Gollum inside of36:11us.36:13[laughter]36:16>> Um, okay. My next question,36:18>> you're going to get a phone call like36:19tonight like, "Hey, when you said that,36:21[laughter]36:24>> um,36:26okay. So, basically, you said you can36:28listen to someone without agreeing with36:29them." It's just fully trying to hear36:32what they're actually saying instead of36:34your interpretation and then using36:36[snorts]36:37>> um using clarifying language to make36:39sure that you heard them correctly.36:40>> And also last thing, most people listen36:43like lawyers.36:45>> Like they're they're listening to36:47leverage people. They're not listening36:49to actually like listen.36:51>> They're listening to go, "What did you36:52leak?" Oh, yeah. Okay. Mhm. All right.36:55Yeah. So remember, and they're all nice.36:58remember when you said last week like36:59but it's literally like they're37:01persecuting and prosecuting people. They37:03listen like DAs and judges like they37:05don't listen to sit there and be like37:07how can I help this person? What are37:09they actually saying right now?37:10>> Right?37:11>> So it's it's kind of crazy guys. Don't37:13listen to, you know, listening requires37:16like not arguing but just humility,37:18right? So37:19>> the other side of that is not only are37:21people listening to like get you in37:22something or kind of listening for like37:24something bad, but another thing that37:26stops people from being able to truly37:28listen is because they're only listening37:30for themselves. Like how does this37:31affect me? And I [snorts] can notice in37:33people the second they realize it has37:34nothing to do with them or doesn't37:35affect them. They check, they're done37:37listening%,37:38>> they're over it.37:39>> And it's just like that'll prevent37:41someone from listening right away if37:42you're only listening. How can this help37:44me? How can this affect me? And you're37:45not just actually37:46>> like an opportunistic37:48type of vibe.37:48>> Same vibe.37:49>> Selfish, shellfish, man. Mr. Krabs,37:51[laughter]37:52straight up. That's crazy. But a lot of37:54the times too, people are are listening37:56to like win, right? Like artillery,37:59right? So our job is not to win38:01arguments. Our job is to win souls. And38:03in order to win a soul, you have to have38:05humility. Jesus honestly was amazing at38:08this. He knew everything. He could sense38:11people, what they're thinking. Like he38:13would check them. Why in your souls do38:15you say this, that, and the third? But38:16he always goes, "What do you seek? What38:19do you look for? What [snorts] are you38:20trying to understand?" He even asked38:22questions. If he knew like beforehand38:25what that person wanted, why would he38:28ask them questions? Because he wants38:30relatability. When a person feels heard,38:3390% of the arguments die honestly. But38:36also on on the other end, relationships38:40die when communication dies, right? And38:43so it's like communicating is not just38:46you speak what you want, I speak what I38:48want. Parallel monologue. It's always a38:50dialogue. Okay. What are you trying to38:52say? Like what are you I'm hearing this.38:54Am I correct? Okay, let me try to figure38:56it out with you. Instead of like38:58fighting with each other, you're like39:00fighting for the greater good and39:02fighting for each other to then bring39:04clarity into the stuff. Like if you're39:06arguing or you feel argumentative, the39:08best thing to do is to close your mouth,39:10not close your ears and not close your39:12heart. Bars39:15>> clippy39:17>> bars skis.39:18>> How do you love someone without trying39:19to fix them?39:21>> You love them towards God. You don't39:24love them be and become their God. So a39:27lot of people they try to fix people by39:29absorbing their pain too and trying to39:32be their savior. Jesus absorbed all of39:35our pain at the cross and he is the39:37savior for us. So your job is to always39:41like pastor Kim would do with me is like39:43Johnny what do you think Jesus would do39:45in this predicament and there's times39:46where I straight up tell him I don't39:47care what Jesus would do. It's not going39:49to help me right now, pastor. Wait a one39:51star Yelp review, you know, like I would39:53be angry at him. But little things like39:55that after I would get through my39:58emotional roller coaster and I would sit40:00down and I would reflect like why does40:03pastor always tell me to think about40:04Jesus? Oh, because he's not trying40:07[snorts] to hurt me. He's trying to heal40:08me. And so how to love people is not you40:13being God for them and you being the40:15doormat, but you being the doorway and40:17kind of like the arrow. You're just a40:19sign that points to Jesus. And you have40:21to also think what would God do in this40:24predicament at the very foundation40:26that's better than what would I do who's40:29in like flawed and finite and limited.40:32What would God do in this predicament?40:33Is there any Bible verse that you know40:36or is there any like parable? So pastors40:39always do do that with me like Johnny40:41you know King Saul he did this and the40:43reason why King Saul did that was40:44because of this and in this situation40:46that's kind of your situation right and40:48it really unlocks it without feeling40:51attacked. Yes.40:52>> But I've also seen one caveat I'd give40:55is something that I've seen you do with40:56somebody was40:58>> their their person wasn't really about41:00God. You were like41:03>> Joe stop talking about God. So, I think41:05that there's there's a lot of times41:07>> Well, yeah. It's not a one size fits41:08all.41:08>> Yeah. Which is why I think the better41:11answer is like you kind of need somebody41:13like yourself above to be able to be41:16like, "Okay, what's the situation?41:18What's the other person?" Like,41:19>> do this instead.41:20>> But that's part of listening. Like, if41:22you guys just are able to listen and41:25hear people's heart posture, most people41:28are angry because they're misunderstood.41:30Not really because they're angry at that41:32specific thing. that's just a wall that41:34they're hiding behind, right? Because41:37they don't want to seem weak but or or41:39un how do I say unappreciated, right?41:43And so you have to be able to make41:45people feel that, hey, you're41:46appreciated here. It happened recently41:48in our in our in our team where someone41:51was working really hard and they worked41:53very hard by themselves and the right41:55thing. I just saw it immediately and I41:57was like, "Dude, this is something that41:59he has to be validated." Not in a like42:01boost him up and BS and lie cuz you got42:04to be honest. But I could see where I42:07didn't appreciate this person in our42:09team. And so I immediately apologized42:12because I was like, "Dang, I know how it42:13feels to not to work your butt off." And42:16people are like, "What? You're supposed42:17to do that? That's a bad feeling. Yes,42:19I'm supposed to do it, but dang, I can't42:21get some like brownie points. I can't42:23like I I what's going to motivate me too42:26to feel appreciated? I got I can't just42:28sit here and be a robot. I'm a human42:29with real emotions, right? And so I just42:32sat there and I was like, "Hey, bro,42:33like I understand and I see where you're42:35where you're at and that's my bad. I42:37don't I wasn't speaking for the team42:39directly." And it really like in real42:41time they saw it too. It diffused the42:43situation right away. It went from like42:46smiling to like, "Bro, you're hella42:47aggro. Like do you understand? I never42:49said that." To like, "Man, thank you.42:52like I got it. Yeah, let's work42:53together. And it was beautiful. And then42:55we went mini golfing after that. It was42:57like it was cool, you know.42:59>> We we could have it would it went from43:01like putting like golf clubs to like,43:04you know, we were about to beat each43:05other over the head basically. It was43:07beautiful, you know. It was beautiful.43:09>> A lot of times is like uh people are in43:11this community and they're searching for43:12spiritual truth.43:13>> Mhm.43:14>> How do you how can you tell if someone43:16is truly speaking biblical truth? Mhm.43:19>> And I know your answer, but there's a43:21followup to this.43:22>> Yeah. How do I know if someone's43:25speaking biblical truth?43:26>> Yeah.43:27>> Is if it all if cuz all scripture in the43:30Bible has one main character. It's Jesus43:32Christ. So all scripture has to point to43:35Jesus. And Jesus literally says, "I am43:37the truth, the life." Right? So if he is43:40the truth, meaning only truth, then all43:43scripture we can conclude has to point43:45to Jesus Christ. Now, when a person is43:48sitting there and all they're talking43:49about is their truth and their opinion43:52and their subjective or, you know,43:54relative opinion or thought or whatever,43:58then you got to kind of have to be43:59cautious about it. You don't have to44:00chop them down, but you have to take44:02things with a grain of salt and then you44:04have to be like, "Hey, can we go to the44:06Bible or like can we do that?" And let's44:08say in a real world scenario, if if it44:11was me and I see that this person44:12doesn't like God, doesn't even care44:14about God, and all they're speaking44:16about is themselves, you as the person44:18who is saved have a bigger44:20responsibility to be like, ah, they're44:22not there yet. So, we can't argue from a44:25point of authority. We can't be like, I44:28know God and you don't, and I'm better44:29living better than you, so you should44:31follow me. Cuz that's just going to make44:32people like feel less than. Your job is44:35to go, hey, I hear you and I understand.44:37and to maybe give them analogies or um44:41experiences in your life where you felt44:42like you were right about something and44:44then realize that you were wrong when44:47you followed your thoughts because this44:48concept that we teach which is so simple44:50and biblical but so hard for people to44:53grasp is don't trust your thoughts and44:55your feelings can lie to you. Now44:57everyone knows that but they still have44:59an issue with applying that to their45:01lives and it's because they don't45:04genuinely have God. So, you can't go up45:06to somebody and go, "Because you don't45:08have God, you can't differentiate your45:09thoughts from the word of God." Like,45:11obviously you can say that, but they're45:12going to be like, "What? Like, what does45:13that mean?" Like, it doesn't make sense.45:15So, instead, I would approach people45:17with like, "Hey, there is a time where I45:19followed myself and everything in my45:22heart and it led me to misery." And so45:25I'm just I'm just making sure I just45:27want you to make sure that you know as45:29as a word of advice that maybe not45:32everything that you're thinking like45:33just make sure that it's it's it's45:34correct to the tea. Like are you sure45:36you're 100% on it? And that's the test.45:38Some of them will go yes I'm 100% sure.45:41I know. Then you know okay they're not45:43ready. It's probably best to stop the45:44convo right there and let them get out45:46whatever they want to get out. That's up45:48to you. Or if they go huh you're right.45:51Then you can push a little deeper.45:52Right. But then it's it's again it takes45:55a lot of skill to do this type of stuff.45:57It's not just going to be like, "Oh45:59yeah, it Johnny said this. Okay, I could46:01apply this." That's where Blame Johnny46:03Chang was born.46:05>> People will go there and I'll be like,46:06"Guys, you guys are dirt." Because46:08you're believers. And then you'll go and46:10you'll tell your wife who doesn't46:11believe, "Babe, you're dirt." [laughter]46:13And then they'll the Johnny said,46:15"Johnny said, and then now they're like,46:17I hate Johnny." And then they're coming46:19back in the main stage and they're46:20going, "Johnny, how come they don't want46:21to come to mainstage?" Uh yeah, probably46:23because you freaking showed them a46:24tattooed freak called you dirt and then46:26called them dirt and now they're46:28uprooting your whole family. You would46:29never call them dirt before. Now you're46:31calling them dirt. Dirt gang now. And46:33they're over here like I hate you and I46:34hate whoever taught you. You're an46:36idiot. And so that's what happens. And46:37they get frustrated. And so it's like,46:39oh, and they just like force gump me,46:42you know? They're like, oh, okay.46:44You know, so yeah, we're hiring, guys.46:47Core of the heart is hiring. But listen46:48carefully. We're not just building a46:50company. It might work47:57out. So, if you're amazing at something,47:59you don't see the perfect job48:00description, just reach out. Tell us48:02what you're good at. Maybe it'll work.48:03>> Genuinely, I can't do this without a48:04team. So, I'm very thankful for anyone48:06who supports the mission. I look forward48:08to hearing from you guys.48:09>> Let's role play the other side. What48:12should someone do if they don't feel48:13like they're being truly heard?48:16>> If you don't feel like you're truly48:18being heard,48:20um, you can always bring it up to them.48:22Biblically speaking, it says you can48:24guard your heart, but you can also48:26speak. But if you truly feel like their48:29heart posture is, I don't want to hear48:31you and I'm talking over you. Address48:34that. So like Jesus did the same thing48:36where he spoke and people didn't hear48:38him and then he straight up addressed48:40it. Why? Like when someone smacked them48:42in the face, he was like, "Why did you48:44hit me?" Like it's a it's an honest48:47question and don't say anything, right?48:51Pastor was a master at this. I would sit48:53there and I would just dump whatever I48:55was and then he would be like, "But48:57Johnny, how come when I speak you're not48:59really listening?" And he just stays49:01quiet. But I am listening. And I'll like49:04go. And then he's like, "But you're not49:06listening though. If you did listen,49:08here's here's what it is." is and he49:10would explain it and then I would cut49:12him off and he's like, "Do you49:13understand? Like I'm not even finished49:14with what I'm saying and you're like49:16cutting me off." And honestly, at times49:18I wouldn't even realize that I was doing49:20that, right? And so if you see a person49:24who's not listening to you, do you just49:26address it? Hey, I'm I'm kind of feeling49:28like you're not listening to me right49:30now. Right? And when they go, I am. Then49:32you be like, but you notice how like I'm49:35saying you're not and you're still49:36saying what you think you are. like can49:39do you want to do you want to know like49:41what I feel or you just you don't really49:43like care cuz it seems like anyone who49:46says I am listening is is incorrect49:48number one because if a per if you cared49:51about that person number one you would49:52listen to them you would be like oh okay49:55I feel like I'm listening but they they49:57don't feel like I am so let me put that49:59down let me try to hear what they're50:01saying let me reiterate but most people50:04they don't do that what they hear you're50:06not listening they take it defensively50:08ly. So, you got to be like, you got to50:11preface a lot of things. You got to go,50:13I'm not trying to like say that you're50:16not hurt. Like, you're doing this on50:19purpose, but I I don't feel heard right50:22now. These words are very powerful50:24because then they'll be like, "Okay,50:26cool. I get it." Versus, "You're not50:28listening to me." Right? There's a way50:29that you guys have to kind of deliver50:31it. So, try it out. Try it out. go to50:33people and be like, "Hey, I feel like I50:36don't think this is intentional, but I50:38don't feel like I'm really heard. I50:39almost feel like I'm getting cut off.50:42So, how do we like rectify this? What is50:44the outcome? Like, how do like what is50:46the solution to this?" essentially,50:48number one. Number two, even if you do50:51that, let's say you guys apply that,50:53there's times where they're still not50:54going to listen, right? And there's50:56times where people hearing this will50:58have a hardened heart, too. Oh, you50:59don't know my husband. I've tried that.51:00I can't say that to him. Blah blah blah.51:02Of course, we know this. We we51:03understand. But during that time, who is51:05the person that actually listens to you51:07most? Jesus and God. So, a lot of times,51:10I felt like even pastor wasn't listening51:13to me. I felt like certain brothers51:14weren't listening to me. I felt like51:16when I do Sunday school with the kids51:17back then, they wouldn't listen to me.51:19So, what am I supposed to do? Yell at51:22them more? Make my point more? When did51:24that ever work? If anything, that51:26stressed me out and it cost me my peace.51:28Instead, I went to God. And it's51:31something about going to God that even51:34though they don't listen, it's51:36different. You kind of offload it in51:38another way, right? It's kind of like,51:40think about like working out. Some51:42people, they may not be able to hit the51:44gym, but they'll swim and it still does51:47something for your heart. In the same51:49way, when you're preaching, when you're51:52not able to unload or speak to somebody,51:55when you go and you speak to God, it51:57really just like almost like rolls off52:00of you. Like the stress kind of just52:01goes away because you're talking to God.52:04And over time, I saw my mom become52:07masterful at this. My mom could not talk52:10to my dad. My dad was straight up a52:12narcissist. Straight up hit her. Every52:14time she'd say something, he talked with52:16his fist and his hands. literally feets,52:19hands, everything, right? And my mom52:22would always go to God. There's times52:24where I'd walk in and my mom like crying52:26to God like, "Please God, like, you52:28know," and she'll finish her prayer52:29always. She doesn't like stop praying52:31when I come in the room and she'll say52:33things like, "You said that my husband52:35is the, you know, world's best husband52:37and you also died for him. Lord, please52:39like give him the heart to listen as52:41well."52:42And I would like judge her. But then I52:44realized she would literally go to God52:46about everything. That's what kept my52:48mom sane. That's what kept my mom not52:50holding on to trauma, not building52:52resentment for my dad cuz every time she52:55would go and pray. And now she says52:57something crazy. And a lot of in her52:59testimonies all the time she says, "I'm53:02so thankful that God didn't give me a53:04man that I could rely on because he53:06would have became my God." And so53:08through that, the lesson here is maybe53:11that person isn't listening, but it's53:13not necessarily a bad thing. It could53:15get you to go to God who's always53:17listening and build a stronger53:19relationship that bleeds into all other53:21relationships. So yeah, so a lot of53:23times people will be saying something53:24and you'll feel a certain way. Pastor53:26will be saying something and you're53:27like, you guys aren't hearing what I'm53:28saying. Now your answer is take it to53:30God. Yeah.53:30>> But what is also another way? Are there53:32any other ways where you can check53:34whatever you're thinking?53:36Is there a way to vet what you're53:37thinking to to validate? Is it53:40unwarranted or should I go and clarify53:42with this person outside of just going53:43to God?53:44>> Yes. So, is it something that's pushing53:46you closer to God or or pushing you like53:49away from God? That is something that53:50you have to clarify. So, if something if53:53they're saying something and it's true,53:55but it's affecting your feelings, but it53:57is pushing you towards God, I think53:59that's okay. I think that should be54:00received. But if it's something that's54:03comfortable, even if it's something54:04that's comfortable, but it's pushing you54:06away from Jesus and God, then you have54:08to also address that too, you know. So54:10the line here is what [snorts] they're54:13saying and when I hear what they're54:14saying, are they listening to me? Um,54:18and are they are is them listening to me54:21pushing me closer to God or away from54:23God? And this also is important because54:26a lot of people also get frustrated when54:28people don't hear them out. But you also54:31have to be honest to people who are54:32speaking to others and want others to54:34listen to them. Is this also pushing54:37them closer to God? Right? Like you have54:39to when you're when you're framing your54:41questions and your answers, they have to54:44always be kind of gospel- centered or54:46like salvific as we say. But if you most54:49people, they're more like, I just want54:50to get my information out there. I just54:52want to answer. And so like it's normal54:55to be like I don't need to listen to you54:57respectfully if you're trying to push me55:00away from God. You know what I mean?55:01Like I don't need to and I've had55:03friends homies do this. Like hey bro55:05like doesn't it say in the Bible like55:07you have to like you're your brother's55:09keeper and like you're you're fam like55:11you know your your friends mean55:12everything and you got to help them.55:14Well I'm lonely right now and I want to55:16go to the club and you're not coming55:17with me to the club. And I'm just like55:19>> checkmate.55:20>> Bro, are you serious? And I'm like,55:22"Bro, [clears throat] you know what55:23you're doing." "No, I'm not. I don't55:24know what I'm doing. What do you mean?55:25Like, I just want you to come kick it.55:27Like, why you do that, bro? I feel sad.55:28Like, aren't you supposed to be here to55:30like help me?" Like, they weaponize55:31things, you know? And that's when you55:33have to draw the line, too, and be like,55:34"Hey, respectfully, I don't want to hear55:36I don't I'm not going to hear all of55:37that. Like, I made my decision. If you55:40if you got to sit with it and get angry55:41and be mad at me and feel some type of55:42way, handle your business, but we can't55:45compromise because you feel some type of55:47way. You're trying to push me away from55:48my walk. Like I love you and I don't55:51want you to be depressed. But I also55:53can't allow your depression to affect me55:56and then pull me off of my walk and get55:58me into depression. Like what the heck?55:59That would be crabs in a bucket. You56:01know what I mean? That's misery loving56:02company. No, I want to lift you out of56:04it. You can come to this side. I can't56:06go to that side. And so again, it's it's56:09so many layers to this, but it's it's56:11important to the the the center line has56:14to be Jesus Christ. Are you pushing or56:16not? Yeah.56:18Um, so let's say you go to God.56:21>> What happens if you don't feel like56:22you're getting a clear signal from God56:24and a direction to go?56:26>> Should you just trust your gut and go56:27for it?56:28>> No. Never trust your gut, but but do go56:30for it. Go for it with this heart of,56:32"Hey God,56:33>> I don't hear anything, but I do know you56:35will make my crooked path straight." And56:37obviously try your best to think about56:39what is God's heart in all of this. And56:41that's why we have our communities and56:43and I why I have my pastor. Ask other56:46people too. Get a general consensus. Hey56:48guys, this is what I think I should do.56:51And talk to people who are gospel-56:52centered, right? Go to church, you know,56:55ask in the mainstages, ask on live, you56:57know, ask the mods that we have like,56:59hey, this is what I'm struggling with.57:01[snorts] I don't know if I should take57:02this job or not take this job. I don't57:04know if I should follow this or follow57:05that, but I'm going to I'm going to what57:07do you think about it? And even if they57:09don't have answers, then make a decision57:10and trust that God will bless that.57:13Whether, like I said, it's always a57:14lesson or a blessing. If you you're57:17going to learn something from it, right?57:19Even if you fall down from it, you're57:20going to learn from the fall. Even if57:22you succeed from it, you're going to57:23learn from the success. You're going to57:25learn something. So, yeah.57:26>> Does God penalize you for choosing your57:28flesh?57:30>> Oh my gosh. This is why we get so many57:33unfollows.57:34>> Unfollows. [laughter]57:36>> People unfollow when it's stuff like57:38this. Cuz I'm going to say something57:39that people don't like.57:41>> But I'm going to answer it though. Go57:42ahead. Just do it. Just57:43>> Oh, that Well, so that's that's my main57:45question. It's like, let's say you have57:46a decision to make57:47>> and you just decide to follow your57:49flesh. Does God penalize you for it? And57:51I could give you57:52>> I don't think he's going to penalize it,57:54but I think that God is going to be57:56like, "Hey, if you go out there and you57:58wear a chain on in South Central and58:01you're bling bling, it's not God who who58:04allowed you to get robbed, okay? Like,58:06we have to be smart." And obviously, if58:08you follow the flesh, God says when sin58:11ripens, destruction. So you may just58:14like you're driving a car and you may58:16run a red a couple times and not get58:18t-boned. But if but do it a thousand58:20times. I'm pretty sure you'll get hit58:22once. You know what I mean? It's like58:23that's what God is. He's going to tell58:24you, "Hey, you have free will. I don't58:27have to penalize you. You're going to58:28penalize yourself because when you walk58:30into that venomous pit of sin, when you58:34follow your flesh, you're only going to58:36produce destruction. You're going to58:38produce despair. It's only going to be58:40ultimately lead you to sadness and58:42misery and guilt and all that. So I58:45don't think it's God who penalizes you.58:47I think it's God who's going to allow58:49you in that penalizing in pain to then58:51give it back to him and return back to58:53him. So yes. Yes. I I would say yes and58:56no. Yes, he penalizes58:59in in but not in the way like you messed59:01up you naughty boy. Okay, you're going59:03to get a spanking. Like not necessarily.59:05He disciplines by going, "Hey, I'm going59:07to let you be God for a day." And I'm59:09gonna I'm gonna show you why you leading59:11yourself is probably not the smartest59:13thing to do. And I would say in that59:15way, he chastises us. He does allow59:17things to mess up in our lives. He does59:19allow us to get sick. He will allow us59:21to, you know, uh, get addicted. Let's59:23say, let's say you get addicted. He will59:25allow you to like lose your house and59:27things like that for you to learn these59:28types of things. Can you say that that's59:30God penalizing you? Or is it more that59:32you chose your way above what God wanted59:36and after numerous times of warning you?59:39Right? And so that's what Egypt did. The59:41pharaoh hardened his heart numerous59:43times and then God was like, "All right,59:45I'm just going to harden it for you and59:46since this is what you want, right?" And59:47he just gives it up to you. So yeah,59:50[snorts]59:50>> I'm ready for God to penalize me.59:54[laughter]59:54This guy about to get struck. Hey, sit59:57over there. He's about to lightning59:58bolts just about to shoot through the59:59window.1:00:02>> Well, what if that So, so like you know,1:00:05even the way that we're describing this,1:00:06it sounds pretty intense. What if it's1:00:08something like, you know, I like to have1:00:09a drink here and there.1:00:11>> Have a drink here and there then and get1:00:13canceled again. [laughter]1:00:16>> Being sober mind is is good obviously,1:00:19right? The Bible commands this. but not1:00:21so much where it's legalism where it's1:00:23like you're literally evil as hell and1:00:25you committed the most unforgivable sin1:00:28by drinking. There's only one1:00:29unforgivable sin and that's blasphemy1:00:31against the Holy Spirit which is taking1:00:33God's name in vain. What that means is1:00:35not just saying OMG. It's taking Matthew1:00:381:21 which is Jesus. A virgin shall have1:00:41a son. She shall name him Jesus. He1:00:43shall save his people for his sins from1:00:45his sins from their sins. And so God is1:00:48saying, if you take Jesus's name, which1:00:51is God with us, who came down and died1:00:53for us and rose again for us, and you1:00:56still say that you have sins, and you're1:00:58not forgiven, and you don't believe in1:00:59the forgiveness of the blood, then1:01:01[snorts] that means you're not forgiven.1:01:03And that's the only thing. And the Holy1:01:05Spirit is a witness to this. It says in1:01:07Hebrews 10:15 to this new covenant.1:01:09People don't believe that. They think1:01:11they can get to heaven with their works.1:01:13They think that they can do everything1:01:14with their own works plus plus God, like1:01:17they can help God in some kind of way1:01:19and they trust themselves. So that's the1:01:21only unforgivable sin. But drinking, all1:01:24those other things, if you're struggling1:01:26with it, God understands the struggle.1:01:28He won't penalize you for the struggle.1:01:30He will step into the struggle. But you1:01:32have to give it up to him. You have to1:01:34then sit there and be like, "All right,1:01:35God. You know that I'm struggling and I1:01:37can't help it." And there's a lot of1:01:39people, even pastors, who struggle with1:01:40lust. So that Does that mean that if1:01:43they struggle with lust until they die,1:01:46they're not going to get to heaven? If1:01:48that's the case, and what about King1:01:49Solomon? What about people who, like1:01:51David, who was a man after God's own1:01:53heart, literally slept with Bashibba and1:01:56then murdered Uriah and then made1:01:57Bashiba his wife? Like, bro, literally1:02:00stole he's Mr. Steal Your Girl.1:02:03Literally stole her and then had1:02:05multiple kids with her and then was1:02:08what? Like, God obviously penalized him.1:02:10Yes. Sure. or maybe in the first with1:02:12with his kid dying, you know, the 7-day1:02:14old kid, but afterwards he gave him1:02:16Solomon, which was extremely blessed.1:02:18And obviously, Solomon also fell into1:02:20lust and all these different things. But1:02:22>> apple doesn't fall far from the tree1:02:24>> 100%. And it's just how it is. The the1:02:27struggle does not disqualify you.1:02:30Contrary to what legalism teaches, the1:02:33struggling does not even if you indulge1:02:35in your struggle, whatever that happens,1:02:38the most important thing is do you1:02:40utilize that struggle to then turn back1:02:43to God, right? And this this1:02:46perfectionist Christianity where it's1:02:48like you have God, you're not supposed1:02:50to struggle. Show me one person that1:02:52doesn't struggle with something. I'll1:02:54wait. The only person I can show you is1:02:56Jesus Christ. Other than that, there's1:02:58no other Jesus's. there's only one1:03:00Christ. If you preach another Christ or1:03:02you try to act like another Christ, then1:03:04you are cursed and damned, right? So,1:03:06it's it's it's normal to struggle. It's1:03:08normal to be like, I mess up. It's not1:03:11normal to be like, oh, I'm a good person1:03:14and I should try my best not to struggle1:03:16and therefore become my own god and then1:03:18judge everybody else even though I1:03:20struggle for their struggles. The Bible1:03:22names a few people like John, like uh1:03:25Jesus, he names a few things. He calls1:03:28people deceivers. He calls them brood of1:03:30vipers, which is snakes. He calls them1:03:32hypocrites. He calls them like1:03:34deceivers, right? And so hypocrite is1:03:37someone who1:03:39acts like they do something and then or1:03:41like penalize other people for doing1:03:43something that they also do, right? They1:03:45condemn others while they're still doing1:03:48that and actively living like that. Why1:03:49does he call that? Those are the people1:03:51that Jesus doesn't like. They're super1:03:53hypocritical. Like all of you guys are1:03:55leveled by grace. We're all1:03:56interconnected by sin. How can you say1:03:59you're better than somebody because you1:04:01don't drink? Right? It's like I asked1:04:03this question in mainstage.1:04:05Would you guys There's a there's a1:04:07person I was mentoring. She was 37 years1:04:09old and I had to stop mentoring her1:04:11because she was a virgin and she was1:04:13like I1:04:14>> That's why you stopped.1:04:16>> I knew you were going to cut me off. I'm1:04:18sorry. I'm sorry.1:04:19>> Everyone grill no. Keep going. Keep1:04:22going.1:04:23>> He always does. Keep going. Keep going.1:04:25No. No.1:04:27But basically, she was 37 years old. She1:04:31was a virgin. And she came with all the1:04:33right words. You know, I'm a virgin. I'm1:04:35so yielded to God. I'm surrendered to1:04:37God. I step into my salvation. God has1:04:40given me provision over my life. He's1:04:42given me promise over my life. And all1:04:44this woo wah, whatever. Great. Amazing1:04:46buzzwords, Christian keywords. Ding,1:04:48ding, ding, ding, ding. You're hitting1:04:49them all. Great. But the one thing she1:04:51leaked was, you [snorts] know, Johnny, I1:04:55kind of judge you. Why? Because you talk1:04:58about like you you kind of go on secular1:05:01platforms like Softwite Underbelly. I1:05:03wouldn't have went on, you know. You1:05:04know what he does? He interviews1:05:06prostitutes. And what he does is he's in1:05:08the world. He said it himself. He's like1:05:10agnostic. He doesn't care about God and1:05:13yada yada yada. And I'm just like1:05:15interesting. Okay. And you know, we're1:05:17called like to be very like to be away1:05:20from the world, you know. And so I'm and1:05:22that's why I'm a virgin. Like I've kept1:05:24that. And I'm not like these harlots1:05:26like the pro the prostitutes he1:05:28interviews who just open their legs up1:05:30for everybody. And listen, we all have1:05:32trauma. And like trauma is not an excuse1:05:36to go and do whatever you want. I have1:05:38trauma. I've been, you know, hurt, but I1:05:40don't go. I take it to God, you know.1:05:42And right there, brothers and sisters,1:05:44although outwardly she's saying she's1:05:46humble and whatever, her heart posture1:05:48is judgmental towards everybody else.1:05:50Her heart posture is, "Look at me. I'm a1:05:52virgin. I have my vcard and for this1:05:54long and I'm a good person and I'm going1:05:56to get to heaven." So, do you know what1:05:58I said to her? I said, "There's plenty1:05:59of women who are virgins and burning in1:06:02hell." She kind of just like her eyes1:06:04opened up. She's like, "Where?" I was1:06:06like, "There's a story of the 101:06:08virgins. Five foolish, five wise. the1:06:10foolish ones went to hell, right?1:06:12[snorts] And it's a very good scripture1:06:14because when you get a chance, you1:06:16should read it. They had the Holy Spirit1:06:18in them, which is the fire, right? And1:06:20the oil, and these other ones did not.1:06:23And so, in the same way, a lot of1:06:25people, they have this, they look like1:06:28they're spiritual outwardly, like1:06:29Pharisees, but inwardly they have no1:06:31fruit. They have no humility. They have1:06:33no patience. They have no love, no1:06:35compassion. Respectfully, are you a1:06:38sinner? I asked that girl. She's like,1:06:39"Yeah, I do sin, of course, and I repent1:06:41every day for my sins." Great. Now, you1:06:44sinned, and let's say you had your sin,1:06:47whatever it was. And she's like, "Well,1:06:49I had a sin where I I told a lie1:06:51recently, but it was to protect someone.1:06:53Like, it's just constant like trying to1:06:54make herself look it was to protect1:06:56somebody, you know, like I didn't want1:06:58that person to get fired." So, I said1:06:59that. I'm like, "But then wouldn't it be1:07:01right that if she messed up, you should1:07:03have told the the manager because that's1:07:06kind of costing the it's an opportunity1:07:07cost. it's it's liability, etc. She kind1:07:10of like froze up and I said, "Neither1:07:11here nor there." What I'm trying to get1:07:13at is if you're a sinner, you stand in1:07:16front of God and she's a sinner and she1:07:18stands in front of God, right? Like1:07:19let's say some harlot who you know1:07:21sleeps around an only fans model,1:07:23whatever. Doesn't it make you guys the1:07:26same? And she's like, "Yeah, but God1:07:28knows my heart. Like he knows that I1:07:30wouldn't want to do that, but like they1:07:31want to do that." And I was like, "How1:07:33do you know they want to do that?"1:07:34Number one, well, they continuously do1:07:36it, but that doesn't mean that someone1:07:38wants to do it. A drug addict could be1:07:40getting dragged by something and like1:07:42lose their whole life. I know many of1:07:44them who've cried to me and said, "I1:07:46don't want to do this, but I can't1:07:47defeat this." It's not just by sheer1:07:49willpower. You receive grace to do that,1:07:52right? But at the same time, [snorts]1:07:53look at how you're parading the fact1:07:55that you're a virgin and you're better1:07:57than people because of that. No, we're1:07:59only better because of the blood of1:08:00Jesus. She's like, "Amen. It is because1:08:03of the I'm like, "No, it's not though.1:08:04You led with I'm not like them. Yes, I1:08:06mess up, but I'm not like them." And I1:08:08showed her scripture where the guy was1:08:10like, "Thank you, Father God. He's a1:08:12Pharisee. I'm yes, although I'm a1:08:14sinner. I'm not like the publican. I'm1:08:16not like the politician. I'm not like1:08:17the harlot. I'm not like the backbiters.1:08:19I'm not like other sinners." But God1:08:21says, "Which one went down and was saved1:08:23was the one who smoked his chest and1:08:24said, "I'm a dirty, evil sinner. God,1:08:27please help me. I can't do anything for1:08:28myself." And so, she was like, "Oh,1:08:31yeah. this will be the last time that we1:08:33have a a a one-on-one. Dang. You know,1:08:35cuz she cuz I revealed to her that her1:08:37righteousness was self-righteousness,1:08:39not of God. And she thought that she was1:08:41good. Even though she said all the1:08:42buzzwords, even though she was seems so1:08:45surrendered and so whatever, but in her1:08:47heart was, I'm better than you guys1:08:49because I'm a virgin. Who do you guys1:08:51think God is going to honor? The person1:08:53who's like, I know I struggle and that's1:08:55why I need you, God. Versus, I have you,1:08:58God, and they suck for struggling and1:08:59I'm better than them. Like you think God1:09:01is going to honor a prideful heart. Get1:09:03the faith out of here if you think so.1:09:05That's straight baloney. It's baloney,1:09:09right? So yeah, cut [snorts] the baloney1:09:12as they say. How come it feels like most1:09:15people are interpreting the Bible wrong?1:09:18You get what I'm saying? like how come1:09:19your read how come the church you're a1:09:22part of and the pastors that you're with1:09:23and how you came up you read you guys1:09:25read the Bible and you get that message1:09:27and then there's a whole swath of the1:09:29internet that comes after you or you1:09:32know another side of Christianity that's1:09:35so based on works and performance and I1:09:38mean I was raised on on that side too.1:09:42So what do you think about it that they1:09:44there's people that probably read the1:09:45Bible the exact same amount of times as1:09:47you and still is is getting a different1:09:50message. Why do you think one word is1:09:52well two things listening receptive1:09:55skills is a big part of it and coming to1:09:58the end of yourselves which is what the1:10:00Bible claims humility.1:10:02>> Johnny I've come to the end of myself.1:10:04I've been in the church my whole life.1:10:06>> If you say that then you know you didn't1:10:07come to the end of yourself. A humble1:10:09person never calls themselves humble.1:10:12I was just role playinging1:10:15and I'm just role playinging too. No,1:10:18but honestly though, a lot of people who1:10:20are are they're not they're not humble.1:10:23That's why when they read the Bible1:10:25works does one thing. It puts all the1:10:28glory on you. And people love the ego1:10:30stroke. I get it. When you sit there and1:10:33you're like, I'm not going to watch porn1:10:35anymore. I'm not going to struggle1:10:37anymore. And you actually overcome it.1:10:39Bro, does that feel good? When you1:10:41obtain something off of your own1:10:43willpower and then slap faith over it1:10:46and be like, "Yes, look at me." It1:10:49really does feel nice. But the issue1:10:51here is they don't realize that all of1:10:53that was by grace, too. If Jesus doesn't1:10:56give us this word to overcome, how would1:11:00we even overcome? Right? Everything is1:11:03borrowed by God and should be accredited1:11:05to God. But people love to take the1:11:08credit. It's built into it's our default1:11:11setting. Kids from a young age are1:11:14competitive. Human beings are1:11:15competitive by nature. And why are we so1:11:18big on like making money, winning1:11:20sports, achieving this prize? You know,1:11:23even in gaming like you become number1:11:25one, get this many kill, what's KD1:11:28ratio? Is it kill death ratio? Right?1:11:29It's like why is all that important?1:11:31Because we want to be like, yo, I1:11:33obtained something that you couldn't do.1:11:36It's all competitive. It's all1:11:37performative. So people who read the1:11:40Bible with humanistic go like lens and1:11:44like logic. That's why it's so like1:11:48different than what we're taught. The1:11:50Bible says those who are lost need to be1:11:52found. Those who are sick need a1:11:54physician. [cough]1:11:58>> That was funny that he coughed after1:11:59that line. [cough]1:12:01>> Ironic.1:12:03I hate the scratchiness.1:12:07But [snorts]1:12:08it's because people are trying to be the1:12:10main character. The Bible is not about1:12:13you. Of course, it records you and1:12:15hearts like you have, but it's all1:12:17pointing to Jesus Christ. Now, we've had1:12:20people in our Bible class read the Bible1:12:2217 times, 20 times, 25 times. I've had1:12:25it. I We have pastors in our Bible1:12:27class.1:12:28>> [snorts]1:12:28>> The one thing that they don't realize1:12:30though is that they didn't realize until1:12:32they came here was, wow, it really is1:12:35not about me at all. Ephesians 2:8-91:12:39sums it up so well. It [snorts] is by1:12:42grace through faith that you are saved,1:12:44not of any works, lest any man boast.1:12:48So you're God knew that people will1:12:51boast, meaning they'll parade1:12:53themselves, right? They'll pride1:12:54themselves in works. There's only two1:12:58types of people in this world. There's1:12:59the Caines and the Abel. Cain, he came1:13:02with his own sacrifice from the sweat of1:13:05his brow and the fruit of his hands to1:13:08give it to God. And Abel was like, "I1:13:10can't do anything. My name literally1:13:12means useless and unknown. I [snorts]1:13:15bring something called a sacrifice, an1:13:17animal sacrifice, a substitute in my1:13:19place. I can't do it." Why do you need1:13:21someone to sub? What's a sub for when1:13:24you tag someone in? Right? when you have1:13:25a somebody on the bench, it's because1:13:27you can't do it. You're tired now. You1:13:29got to get out and they got to they got1:13:30to jump in for you. In the same stroke,1:13:33God is saying, "I have a sub for you, an1:13:35eternal substitute, which is Jesus." But1:13:38that that would mean though that you1:13:40need to surrender and you need to step1:13:42down and you need to sit bench. You need1:13:43to ride the bench. And a lot of people1:13:45don't want to ride the bench in their1:13:46lives. They're starters. No, I did this.1:13:49I did that. Look at me, man. I God gave1:13:51me this. God gave me that. And then they1:13:53start to show their own works. And why1:13:56this gospel is so threatening is because1:13:58grace levels the playing field. It1:14:00literally takes all of the spotlight off1:14:02of you and it places it onto God. And it1:14:05says you didn't do anything. You're1:14:06nothing but a donkey that I ride on.1:14:09You're nothing but a vessel. A vessel is1:14:11a container. A container doesn't1:14:13produce. It doesn't create. It just1:14:15carries. So you're supposed to carry1:14:17God's glory. Not, oh, look at me. I1:14:20produce this. So everything is1:14:22performative and productive in that I1:14:24got to do this, I got to do that. So1:14:26that's why they can't understand. And1:14:27then listening skills is is vital1:14:30because anyone with half a brain or the1:14:32ears to hear would be like Johnny's1:14:34right. He's literally pointing to Jesus.1:14:36But the ones who don't want Jesus deep1:14:38down who want pride and ego, you guys1:14:41are listening. You guys can't hear it1:14:43because what this means is dang, you're1:14:45basically saying that I'm not special.1:14:47What I'm saying is nobody's special. And1:14:50in the same stroke, we are special.1:14:52We're not special because we didn't do1:14:54anything. Without Jesus giving us the1:14:56power to even wake up in the morning, we1:14:58we're not going to wake up. But we are1:15:00also special in that God has given us1:15:03life and he's literally died for us. He1:15:06chose us. God chose us over his own son.1:15:09He forsook his own son for us. So you1:15:12can now move with boldness, but also1:15:14humility. A lot of people just want to1:15:15be bold with no humility. And that's all1:15:18pride. all self-righteousness. And so we1:15:21teach in our Bible in in our Bible1:15:23class, we teach at our church that you1:15:26are literally dirt. You're nothing.1:15:29You're the lowest value. Not to ruin1:15:31your your uh confidence, but to have1:15:36this heart to distrust yourself and only1:15:38lean on God. Your sub [snorts] your1:15:40substance is is God. It's not you. You1:15:43can't sustain yourself, right? And1:15:45that's why God says you're a vessel.1:15:48You're not the root. You're you're not1:15:50even the fruit. You're the branch that1:15:52that connects the two. God just has to1:15:54use our bodies. But it would be stupid1:15:57to for the branch to think I produce the1:15:59fruit. No, the vine and the roots1:16:01produce it. You just bear it. Sure. B1:16:04you ride off of the coatail, right? And1:16:06so that's just what it is. That's why1:16:09people can't understand the Bible is1:16:11because they're only looking at it from1:16:13the lens of self and the lens of works1:16:15and the lens of legalism. The biggest1:16:18tool that Satan has nowadays is not1:16:20going out in the clubs and sinfulness1:16:22and stuff. It's you being your own1:16:25master, you producing all the fruit so1:16:27that you miss the true fruit who hung on1:16:29the cross, the fruit of the womb. Luke1:16:311:41, Jesus Christ. You just have to be1:16:34in the position of Jesus and you'll miss1:16:37him completely. That's why God says in1:16:39Matthew 7:21-23, the scariest verses in1:16:42the Bible, not everyone who says, "Lord,1:16:44Lord, shall enter my kingdom, but those1:16:46who do the will of my father who is in1:16:48heaven." Many in those days, he says, a1:16:50lot of people will say, "Haven't we1:16:52prophesied prophecy, which is biblical,1:16:54in your name. Haven't we casted out1:16:56devils, deliverance, demons in your1:16:58name? Haven't we done many wonderful1:17:00works in your name? Works in your name?"1:17:04Notice how Jesus doesn't say, "You1:17:06didn't do enough. I and depart from me."1:17:09He says, "I never knew you. I don't know1:17:13who you are." How is God who's omnisient1:17:16and omnipotent everywhere all the time,1:17:18knows everything all the time, saying1:17:20that he doesn't know you because you1:17:22don't have a relationship with him. All1:17:24you came to him was was, "Look at what I1:17:26did in your name. Look at what I did in1:17:28your name." It's like, "Look at me. Me,1:17:30me." God's like, "Where am I in all of1:17:32this, though? I'm nowhere to be found.1:17:34And that means you never knew about me1:17:36because you never edified me and you1:17:38didn't even care about a relationship1:17:39with me. You were trying to prove to me1:17:41in your in our relationship how much1:17:43you're better and that's why you're1:17:44going to get you're going to get dunked1:17:46in hell basically. So people don't even1:17:48realize that. He never says you weren't1:17:50obedient enough. He never says you1:17:52didn't do enough. He says you don't know1:17:54who I am. We don't have a relationship,1:17:55broki. And if that's the case, how are1:17:57you going to get to heaven? How are you1:17:58going to come to my house as a stranger?1:18:01like we I'm not going to let you in and1:18:03give you a room. I don't even know you1:18:05like that. And that's what it is. That1:18:07wraps up the this part in this segment1:18:10of the episode. I hope you guys saw1:18:12fruitful. And if you did, comment what1:18:14you thought was really good. Maybe what1:18:17I like is when you guys drop a bar that1:18:19I say and you're like that hit. And1:18:22normally guys, when you write that,1:18:24those are the comments that go like that1:18:26get the most likes. I noticed that.1:18:27>> Leave a little time stamp so other1:18:29people can find it.1:18:30>> Yes. So, write that. And thank you guys1:18:32for always supporting us, too, as we1:18:34start the new year, too. But with that1:18:36being said, we have something.1:18:39>> Yes. Before we go,1:18:40>> wait, wait, wait, wait. We always got to1:18:42remind people, just check your phone1:18:44right now. Did you like, comment, and1:18:45subscribe?1:18:46>> Are you subscribed?1:18:47>> You got to hit the subscribe thing. I1:18:48saw1:18:48>> you're subscribed.1:18:49>> I saw some video where he was like, I1:18:50grew this. It was like millions and1:18:52millions of followers. And he said, and1:18:53the main thing I did is I just told1:18:55people to subscribe. It's now just like,1:18:57ah,1:18:58>> guys, subscribing is going to help us so1:19:00much. We hit 700K on Giant Chain Live,1:19:02too.1:19:02>> Nice.1:19:03>> That's crazy.1:19:04>> Almost a million on every platform.1:19:06>> But you got to check if you're1:19:08subscribed. Right now is the perfect1:19:09time to check if you're subscribed1:19:11because1:19:12>> if we ever walk into you in person and1:19:13we see that you're subscribed, Aaron's1:19:15going to give you $10,000 from his bank1:19:17account.1:19:18>> No, just kidding.1:19:19>> No. Why now is a really good time to be1:19:22subscribed is because if you're not1:19:24subscribed, you might not recognize the1:19:27next episode.1:19:29[laughter]1:19:30>> Pity, we have a big transition.1:19:32>> We have a big announcement. Who wants to1:19:34say it?1:19:35>> You You announce1:19:35>> You say it.1:19:36>> You say it.1:19:37>> No, you say No, I say it.1:19:39>> We say it all of us.1:19:40>> Okay.1:19:41>> This is officially the last episode of1:19:46this studio.1:19:48This is the last episode we're doing on1:19:49this set. The very final one. So, what1:19:51is1:19:53>> I know.1:19:55>> I like it.1:19:56>> Hey. Hey. But we got to let them know1:19:58there's a big overhaul about to happen1:20:00with with CH and you guys. But that's1:20:02all we're going to say.1:20:03>> That's right. Why are we leaving this1:20:04set?1:20:05>> Because we're our lives are in danger1:20:06every time we come here. [laughter]1:20:08That's literally why.1:20:10>> Johnny's moving. So, we're building a1:20:12new set. A lot of this has to get left1:20:13behind. Johnny, your dad built this.1:20:16>> You and your dad built this. You painted1:20:18these walls.1:20:19>> I know.1:20:20>> I mean, you literally built this set by1:20:21hand to launch this podcast earlier this1:20:24year.1:20:25>> Yeah.1:20:25>> How's it feel leaving?1:20:26>> It's kind of I don't know. It's cool.1:20:28Like, it's it's it's like bittersweet, I1:20:31guess, but at the same time, I'm excited1:20:33for the overhaul. And we just need a1:20:35bigger space, guys. We're grow we're1:20:38just outgrowing a lot of things as you1:20:39guys can see. And so, it's just it's1:20:43going to match the brand. Like I'm not1:20:44saying this doesn't match the brand, but1:20:46there's just some kind of thing that I I1:20:49can't leak too much, but it's just going1:20:51to be a lot. It's going to be major1:20:52major changes that are going to be1:20:54crucial and critical to your guys'1:20:56spiritual life, too, believe it or not.1:20:58So, yeah.1:20:59>> Can I actually have one of these futons?1:21:00I just realized I want one.1:21:02>> Keeping them.1:21:02>> All of them.1:21:03>> No, you can take one.1:21:05>> Take one, too. Eron,1:21:06>> these are like nice to lay down.1:21:09>> Knock out on these.1:21:10>> Yeah, like a little mattressing. Well, I1:21:12have that little side room at my house1:21:13and I realize if someone wants to1:21:15>> Well, no, we definitely need to upgrade1:21:17because it's so funny. They can't really1:21:18see this. I almost want to pick up the1:21:20camera and show them, but it's like this1:21:22tiny tiny space behind the cameras. All1:21:24the cameras are jammed into one area.1:21:26There's a desk of the computer jammed1:21:28in. And we've had1:21:29>> Yeah. Pick up pick up one of these1:21:30cameras here and just just tilt it1:21:32around for a second.1:21:35>> There we go. So, show show this tiny1:21:38little gap we're working with. First1:21:40first time they get in a LITTLE1:21:45>> OKAY. So1:21:46>> step out the room.1:21:47>> We've had guests.1:21:51>> Will you just record the space?1:21:54>> Okay. We've had guests crawl up through1:21:57that space. So Johnny's mom, Johnny's1:22:00brother, Santa Cruz Medicinals,1:22:02literally crawling over wires, like1:22:04tiptoeing into the space, over Johnny's1:22:07legs. Like this is totally a makeshift1:22:09studio in this like small area that's1:22:12not even supposed to be anything at the1:22:13top of the stairs. It's like a little1:22:15office loft. I don't know.1:22:16>> But we made it work, ladies. Oh my gosh.1:22:19>> But we made it work. We definitely made1:22:21it work. Look, it sleeps on the1:22:22computer.1:22:23>> She's time1:22:25over there.1:22:26>> Show the nest of cords down on the1:22:28floor. Sleeps1:22:30>> and then Yeah. All the cords on the1:22:32floor. And then we got Look at how this1:22:34thing this bag is hanging on the light.1:22:37[laughter]1:22:38>> Yeah. Oh, I'm not even talking into a1:22:40mic here. Let me let me get on a mic1:22:42right here. But as you can see, there's1:22:43like bags hanging right there. Cord,1:22:46desk. Yeah. And then all the all the1:22:49stuff. That's That's just all of our1:22:51studio equipment.1:22:52>> So, it's time to go. Well, you got to1:22:54say it into the mic, so you can put that1:22:55back up.1:22:56>> But it is finally time to get out of1:22:58this studio.1:22:59>> I'm I'm proud of us, though. We We went1:23:02here and then we're upgrading. So,1:23:04that's a good thing. True. And our next1:23:06spot.1:23:07>> Oh my gosh. They're going to just wait.1:23:09>> You hear this? They're not going to hear1:23:10this.1:23:11>> Yeah. You're not going to hear this1:23:12right now.1:23:12>> Not going to see too many cuts. It's1:23:14just going to a lot of times we have to1:23:16cut because of the freaking1:23:18whatchamacallit the the the noise1:23:21outside.1:23:21>> Yeah. And [snorts]1:23:23>> no, finish what you're going to say1:23:24because I know you have a tiny memory.1:23:27>> Um, no. I was just going to say that uh1:23:29it is really crazy that we're already1:23:31leaving this this area. I remember I was1:23:34so against it. I hated this futon. I was1:23:38like,1:23:38>> "No, it's so uncomfortable. It's not1:23:40even level. Like none of it makes1:23:41sense." I got used to it. I like it now.1:23:43I'm like, "Dang, I laid down. I'm so1:23:45comfy. What's the next studio going to1:23:47be [clears throat and snorts] like?"1:23:47>> I don't know.1:23:48>> We got to tell them to really make sure1:23:49it's comfy, bro.1:23:51>> I had something else I wanted to say.1:23:53>> Oh, who has the pea brain memory now? Oh1:23:56man.1:23:57>> Okay. Well, but I wanted to roll a1:24:00little slideshow montage. Our editors1:24:02are going to put together all the best,1:24:04funniest moments, see the guests that1:24:06came through some shenanigans. So,1:24:07here's a little 60-second1:24:08[clears throat] clip.1:24:09>> Roll it.1:24:10>> Welcome to the Unlearn Wisdom podcast.1:24:12It's our first ever Pore the Heart1:24:16produced podcast. [music] That's a1:24:18dichotomy of a gang.1:24:19>> It's like we don't want to,1:24:20[clears throat] but we we have to. And I1:24:22remember like crying like1:24:25>> [snorts]1:24:26>> I'm sorry.1:24:27>> I'm so thankful that he held on to me1:24:29cuz I was really I was ready to just1:24:31leave and give up on [music] everything.1:24:32>> Don't be a people pleaser, you know? Do1:24:34what's right, man. Do the right thing.1:24:36If you can't do it, do the right thing.1:24:38>> He has a big head.1:24:41>> Big head. Big head. Like a p like1:24:44somebody punching. And [laughter]1:24:48>> if you lived a day in my shoes, God1:24:50wouldn't exist you. How do you get1:24:52people past that callous? moment for me1:24:54was when I realized that, okay, I'll1:24:56become my own god. I literally lived a1:24:58horrible life.1:24:59>> He was like, "What's up? It's Jesus,1:25:01[laughter] lady."1:25:03>> I legit gave it up multiple times, ran1:25:06away from [music] church, went back to1:25:07the streets multiple times to then sit1:25:10there and go, "Dang, this ain't it."1:25:11People are always comparing1:25:14horizontally. We need to start comparing1:25:16vertically. If you're sitting there and1:25:17you're only focused on gifts, it doesn't1:25:19have to be Christmas. If you had to sum1:25:21up in one piece of advice of focus and1:25:24discipline is just being be the word1:25:26daily at some amount.1:25:27>> Yes.1:25:28>> And we're back.1:25:30>> What' you guys think? What was your1:25:32favorite moments of this podcast in the1:25:34last 45?1:25:36>> That was so good.1:25:37>> Yeah, that was such a good That was so1:25:38nice.1:25:39>> Yeah,1:25:39>> that was so good.1:25:40>> It brings back so much memories. It's1:25:42kind of crazy what we went through.1:25:44>> Like we did a lot to get here. We're1:25:47doing a lot to get to the other spot.1:25:49It's never ending, but it's all worth1:25:51it. And it's honestly because of you1:25:52guys, too. Like I honestly, it was you1:25:56guys are like amazing. If we if we1:25:58didn't have your support, whether it's1:26:00financially, emotionally, spiritually1:26:02rooting us on like what would we would1:26:05literally just be like three people just1:26:07yapping for nothing, you know? It's1:26:08like, so we really appreciate all the1:26:11original COTH members, the new COTH1:26:13members, even the ones who are just, you1:26:15know, not COTH members. Like preaching1:26:17the gospel is really what we all want to1:26:19do. And so we will always level up and1:26:22upgrade because for me one I I obviously1:26:25want everything to kind of be perfect,1:26:27but we will try to re, you know, achieve1:26:29that, but I also know that you guys1:26:30would like that. I want you guys to have1:26:32a congregation that you're proud of1:26:34because we are literally preaching a1:26:36message that not a lot of people are.1:26:38It's almost like an inclusive club where1:26:41it's like, dang, we we have the actual1:26:44gospel. I was talking about this on1:26:46mainstage where a lot of people [snorts]1:26:48came in originally like seeking1:26:51community and like yeah learning wisdom1:26:53but then what they found was like family1:26:55and the gospel and so it was really cool1:26:58like and everyone just kind of were1:26:59sharing their their hearts today and I1:27:01was very thankful to everybody but it1:27:03made me think too like wow we did a lot1:27:06in this year and a half that most people1:27:08won't do even in a lifetime and so it's1:27:11still hard for me to conceptualize that1:27:13and I always talk to Jeremy about this1:27:15too. But what I am thankful is1:27:18nonetheless is the gratitude that I have1:27:20for you guys. You know, sticking with us1:27:22through all the allegations of people1:27:24saying we're this, that, and a third to1:27:26us being under a microscope to even the1:27:28chastisement where at times I know that1:27:30my truth can be a little bit assertive1:27:32and sometimes abrasive and it makes1:27:34people feel a little sensitive, but to1:27:36just sit here and be like all of that1:27:38came out of here, you know, it's it's1:27:39such a beautiful thing. So, thank you1:27:41guys. And honestly appreciate you guys1:27:43for that, man. Be blessed for real.1:27:45>> I forgot to mention it was crazy that1:27:4620% of the retreat was caught people at1:27:51the good news thing. And then the other1:27:53thing that I wanted to say was like um1:27:56>> it I love reading the comments where1:27:57it's like my favorite thing on Monday.1:27:59>> Yeah. like this has now become a habit1:28:01in people's1:28:02>> Well, that's what's crazy that I want to1:28:03say is I can't believe I'm so proud of1:28:06us and you guys for the fact that we1:28:08haven't missed a single episode since1:28:10this show started,1:28:11>> which is really a single one.1:28:14>> I did. I missed one.1:28:15>> Oh, yeah.1:28:16>> Oh, yeah.1:28:17>> But that's it. So, like we've planned1:28:19ahead. We've done different things.1:28:20We've done two episodes. This is hard to1:28:22produce.1:28:22>> We have not not posted since we've1:28:25started posting, which is insane. I see1:28:27a lot of even my favorite podcast taking1:28:29winter vacations, breaks here and there,1:28:31like no, we kept it pushing.1:28:33>> I think one thing we really live up to1:28:34here and not to float our boats or like1:28:36fluff our feathers is consistency. Like1:28:39we are consistent honestly. We're1:28:42consistent here. Like whether it's the1:28:44live streams, whether it's the constant1:28:46posts, like we are consistent. It's kind1:28:49of crazy. It's kind of crazy.1:28:52Well, what I'll also say that I realized1:28:53in that consistency because I was1:28:55thinking when I was thinking about1:28:56putting this segment like the last1:28:58episode in the studio, I was thinking1:29:00about how it is insane that we've filmed1:29:03this consistently every single week,1:29:05once a week. And on that note, like um1:29:07I've been able to consistently spend two1:29:10to three hours a week off my phone in1:29:14convers in conversation with real people1:29:16and then go get a nice meal with real1:29:18friends. It's just crazy. We've been1:29:20able to do that once a week for the past1:29:23year,1:29:23>> man. Hallelujah.1:29:24>> It's really, really crazy. Like1:29:25>> that's beautiful.1:29:26>> Completely no phone time, which like not1:29:29a lot of people have that. It's pretty1:29:30good.1:29:31>> Yeah. I mean, I'd say that my Yeah. My1:29:33least favorite part was hanging out with1:29:35you for that extended period of time.1:29:37>> All the consistency stuff I totally1:29:39agree with.1:29:39>> Jump them.1:29:40>> No, no, no. But I'm just kidding. But1:29:42what I wanted to say is, hey, roll1:29:43editor, roll the montage of my gut1:29:45disappearing.1:29:46>> I wore this same shirt and it was like I1:29:48remember it was like We didn't have the1:29:50make that montage. Uh, I don't have one1:29:52to roll.1:29:52>> Oh, [laughter]1:29:54>> well, speaking of rolls,1:29:56>> I don't care1:29:58>> my I got skinnier at the end of this1:30:00podcast.1:30:01>> Low hanging fruit. Every time we every1:30:04time we talk about something so deep,1:30:06Jeremy's just with a little [laughter]1:30:08yesterday. Yesterday, there was a guy1:30:10who came back to church after like1:30:12feeling super sad, dude. He went to1:30:14Vietnam, bro. Was feeling so sad. like1:30:17he was defeated. Deflated, bro. And he1:30:20was like, "Johnny, he's like telling me1:30:22all these things, man. I realized1:30:23something about myself and I was just so1:30:26empty. It's He came back from Vietnam.1:30:29Jeremy, like I'm thinking Jeremy's going1:30:31to say something." He [snorts] goes,1:30:32"How much was the f out there?"1:30:34>> No, [laughter] I did not say that. I did1:30:36not say that. I said I No, I said how1:30:39much better is the f in Vietnam? He's1:30:41like, "It's cheaper." I'm like, "I don't1:30:42care about the price. Is it better?"1:30:44>> But it doesn't help your guess.1:30:45>> But what is it? [laughter]1:30:46>> Yeah. But it doesn't matter. Do you1:30:48understand? You freaking1:30:50>> I know. I don't know. But so you got the1:30:51question wrong [laughter]1:30:52talking about the price.1:30:54>> I love how your clarification didn't1:30:55change anything for you. Like he's like1:30:57I just wanted to get the question wrong1:30:59is crazy. So1:31:00>> little dubs is crazy guys. You got to1:31:03have that mentality of Jeremy1:31:04>> stacking my wins1:31:05>> to just win a little bit. Like some kids1:31:08no let me.1:31:09>> You know how kids are No. No. There's1:31:11kids who are like I've seen kids who are1:31:13like okay you got to go to sleep at1:31:159:00. And they'll be like, "One more1:31:16minute." And then they get all happy.1:31:18Jeremy is that kid. Like he has to get1:31:20that one. It's literally just 601:31:21seconds. And he's like, "Yeah, I feel1:31:23like I won 60 seconds."1:31:25>> Listen, this is this is what real1:31:27spiritual life is. Is winning every1:31:30battle. [laughter]1:31:32>> I never lose.1:31:33>> That's right.1:31:33>> And even if they think that I've lost,1:31:36maybe I've lost the battle, but I1:31:38haven't lost the war.1:31:39>> That's right. [laughter] Jeremy's never1:31:41wrong. He's either right or lying.1:31:45All right, guys.1:31:46>> All right. See you later. Thanks.1:31:47>> Appreciate you guys.1:31:48>> See you guys for the rest of this year.1:31:49>> Like, comment. Subscribe.1:31:51>> Subscribe.1:31:52>> Subscribe.1:31:53>> Office1:31:57comment be like the podcast. Last1:32:00episode.1:32:00>> Comment. I can't. God made your God made1:32:42those two things on the bottom of your1:32:44legs.1:32:44>> Yeah, but not for you to photograph1:32:46them.1:32:46>> I didn't photograph them.
