And each episode is0:08a gospel- centered lesson that you could0:11apply to your life today.0:14>> Today. And today it's episode 43.0:2043.0:22>> And we're in the new year, baby.0:23>> And we're in the new year. So with that0:26being said, this episode is going to be0:28on focus. Focus. Focus. Focus.0:32>> So lock in.0:33>> Yes. Locking. What's the thing?0:36>> Lock in.0:37>> See guys, it's a lock.0:38>> It's like a lock. It's not straight.0:40Yeah. There you go. His little What lock0:42is? Yeah. Yeah. It's like this.0:45>> Lock in.0:46>> So we have to lock in basically. And0:49it's about focus. So0:52uh let's start.0:54>> All right. All right, I have a question.0:55You got pepper-sprayed? You got maced?0:57>> Yeah, many times.0:58>> Really?0:59>> Many times. How many times? Many times.1:00>> When you go to jail or when you go to1:03prison, the happiest place on earth,1:06[laughter] you get these experiences of1:08chili peppers in your face.1:10>> This sounds awesome.1:11>> It's amazing. You can't see anything for1:13like hours.1:14>> Wait, what? Like if you guys are1:15fighting or something?1:16>> If there's a riot, they use bear mace OC1:19spray.1:20>> It's in a canister.1:21>> Wait, wait, wait. Walk us through the1:23first time you ever got pepper-sprayed.1:25>> The first time I got pepper-sprayed was1:27on the streets.1:27>> M.1:28>> So, they were d dirty dirty. You gang1:32member. Dirty dirty man. Boy banged on1:35me. What's up, homie? Where you from?1:36Before I could even say anything cuz I1:38think he already knew who I was. I was1:4016.1:41>> He was like, "Where are you from?"1:43>> It was like,1:46[screaming] "Bro, it was literally1:48crazy. Two things happen. You either1:50ball up or you like fight and swing,1:54right? So, I was just swinging.1:56>> Hey, he's swinging and they're just like1:58watching from 10 feet away.1:59>> Legit though. Legit. Okay. Okay. The2:01truth is I had a I had a a2:04>> a little2:05>> What's a a poke2:06>> a fo? No, [laughter]2:09a a a knife. And so I was just going2:12like this.2:14>> And I could just hear them like, "Oh,2:15sn." And luckily,2:17>> you're going by sound. He suddenly2:19turned into Daredevil. He's [laughter]2:21like, "Yeah,2:23>> it's crazy because it's a 16-year-old2:25kid getting maze and this boy's talking2:27about Daredevil."2:29>> Always got jokes.2:30>> Always got jokes on my trauma. No, I'm2:31just kidding. But no, legit though, like2:33I was It was crazy. And I thought I got2:36I had been blinded cuz when it hits you2:39the first time, you don't you don't2:40you're like, "Oh, what the heck?" Like2:42you don't realize it. And then when you2:44blink, then your whole face just gets2:47hot. Like it doesn't even have to hit2:49you in the eyes. It has to hit you like2:50on the cheek or on the mouth or even2:52like if you were to don't do this at2:54home, okay? But and if you do, all2:55right, we don't we don't condone this,2:57but if you like even spray it around2:59your hand or whatever, it's like chili,3:01right? It's super hot. Super hot. Like3:03you feel3:04>> if you spray it on your hand and just3:05smell it, it'll still make your eyes3:06>> Yeah. There's times where if you just3:08smell the like if it's a really really,3:10you know, strong one and you smell just3:12like the the um uh I guess the the3:15spray, that's when it it gets you. So,3:17I've seen people like spray and then3:19mace themselves.3:20>> Mhm.3:21>> Cuz they'll like spray and then walk3:22into it and like,3:23>> "Oh, man."3:24>> Yeah. So, it is it is bad. But after a3:26while, I'm not going to lie, you do3:28build like anything, you build a3:29tolerance to it3:30>> really.3:30>> So, in prison there was like, you know,3:33riots and things like that or like in3:35county jail there would be like certain3:36riots and people would turn on the3:38showers and then they would fight and3:41then they'd get sprayed and jump in the3:42shower and like wash it off and fight3:44again. So, it was like this. Yeah. It's3:46kind of crazy. What?3:47>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.3:48>> I'm just imagining I'm I'm imagining3:50like the officer trying to spray Johnny3:52in the eyes. He's like, "Too small."3:54[laughter]3:55>> The guy's like, "Oh."3:56>> I'm like, "Try again."3:57>> Yeah. He's like expert mode. Like,3:59>> yeah.4:02And Johnny's just staring right at them.4:04I still see you.4:05>> Why? I wonder why. Why is that? Why am I4:10expert mode?4:11>> Why? Why do you Why do you think?4:13>> Why do you I'm Why do you think I'm4:14asking you? Because [laughter]4:16your eye is like looking through the4:18crack. North crack4:20>> because your eye widescreen. [laughter]4:25[clears throat]4:26>> Dang.4:27>> You built tolerance or4:28>> Yeah, you built tolerance to it. I'm4:29telling you.4:29>> No, I'm saying you4:31>> did. I Yeah, for sure. 100%.4:33>> Yeah. After like three times4:36>> it gets to a point where adrenaline4:38rushes as well. But yes, it is like for4:41I've seen just Google pepper spray4:43videos too. Yeah,4:45>> people will literally like go nuts. Like4:48they'll scream4:51>> like run into the wall. I swear I've4:53seen it happen. So, it's just Yeah, it's4:55it's crazy.4:56>> The feeling of um like not being able to4:59breathe and see and you start to lose5:01your senses that quickly is what drives5:03100% panic attack. The first time I had5:06it, I had a panic attack5:08>> just after the the adrenaline, you know,5:10got off. I was like, "What did he cuz5:12you don't know what you got hit with5:14like you understand what pepper spray5:16is, but you don't know it's that5:17lethal." So, you're thinking this is5:20literally like every time you try to5:21open it's like you can't open it. So,5:23it's like uh and it's like you have to5:25like almost cry it out or like have like5:27milk. People were using like milk.5:29>> It's crazy, bro. I was like, "Wow." And5:31I was like dirty dirty gang members.5:33>> Then I adapted it into my arsenal.5:35>> Yeah. I was about to say, "Have you ever5:37have you ever sprayed anything?"5:38>> I I have that. Okay. I I'll tell you a5:40story. There was one time I was it was5:41uh at a boba shop and there was like I5:44just seen some enemies and there was5:45like like double digits, right? And they5:49[clears throat] came in and that's what5:50saved my life.5:51>> You were by yourself?5:53>> Nolo5:56throwing chairs.5:57>> He went and just like that in ninja he5:59was gone6:00>> like [laughter]6:01the smell just like back flipped out of6:03the scene.6:04>> Yeah. No, but legit it was spraying and6:05it was like air and then it was just6:07like everything was moving around and6:08they and again they were like getting6:10maed and it was it was wild. And in6:13Chinatown back then it was just a spot6:15where you would get it. Everyone would6:17go and get their weapons at this spot.6:18It was Chinatown. If you guys know you6:20know RP Whisper that's the6:21[clears throat] homie. But basically6:24like that you would get brass. No, it6:26was completely illegal, right? But you6:28would get those things and then and I6:30remember getting like pepper spray comes6:32in like I don't know 3.7 o whatever. The6:34one that I got was like like extendo6:37[laughter]6:37>> the bare mace extendo mace right6:40>> it's like a fire extinguisher [laughter]6:43>> holds the tab and he's just like6:45>> he wears it on his back like like a fire6:47like ghost. Yeah. [sighs]6:50>> No, but that thing saved my life, bro.6:53Getting jumped. I would have got packed6:55out. Packed out. Packed out. I would6:57have been dead. That gang was real, too.6:59So, I was like, "Dang." But it saved my7:01life.7:02>> Yeah, that was crazy.7:03>> The boba shop owner is like, "I know."7:06Hey, honestly, I feel bad for that, man.7:07A lot of these restaurants we wrecked,7:09but it was it was bad. Sorry, guys.7:12>> I can't imagine getting full mace. My7:14tiny experience with mace was just like7:16my friends and I trying to figure out if7:17like the thing would actually work. And7:19I remember one single speck like blew7:22back into my throat. And you could feel7:24like the one speck that I was like7:26scratched like [cough] like you can7:28cough as much as you want. You cannot7:30get it out. Like I was like just I7:32remember dying from literally one speck7:34drop. Yeah.7:35>> But I was like I could feel the tiniest7:37dot. But it made me cough for like an7:38hour.7:39>> No, for sure.7:40>> What is the material? Is it just like7:41jalapeno juice?7:43>> Basin. It's like uh it's like all7:45peppers. It's just straight peppers.7:47Like the hottest peppers in the world.7:49>> Habanero, ghost peppers.7:51>> Legit. I think they use like straight up7:52like the hottest peppers in the world.7:54>> I want I want to know who the first7:56sickle was that came up with it, right?7:57>> Like, yo, if I soak a bunch of peppers7:59in water and I throw it at someone,8:00[laughter] they they can't see for like8:02two hours.8:03>> Jeez,8:03>> they choke. Have you ever like uh like8:06messed around and see if you could like8:07handle a water boarding? Like, has that8:09so anyone let put a towel?8:11>> No, no, no, no. Like8:12>> that is terrifying. My friend did it to8:14me for a second and it's the same panic.8:16You start choking on the Have you seen8:18people on TikTok were trying to do it?8:20>> They lay them in the bathtub. All they8:22do is put a towel, a wet towel over your8:24face and then they have someone with8:25just like a, you know, like a pitcher8:27pouring a steady stream of water and8:29they8:29>> they're counting out loud. People can't8:31last more than six seconds. Dude, guys,8:33read your Bibles. Like, you don't have8:35to do [laughter] that. Tik Tok trends8:37like that. You do not. What? We're not8:39preparing for al Qaeda.8:41>> It's like what the heck, dude. That's8:43crazy, bro. Get in your Bibles, man.8:45That's wild as heck. What? You guys8:46didn't waterboard each other growing up?8:48>> I [laughter]8:49It just It's a It's like the panic8:51feeling.8:52>> Yeah. It like sucks the breath out of8:54you. You just can't breathe instantly.8:55>> If we are righteous and perfected8:57forever, that means that we no longer9:00have sins. So that So then any action9:04that we do that is against God, is that9:06technically just an action?9:08>> It is an action. Um and it is9:12I mean it's not that there's no more9:14sin. Yes, technically there is. But it's9:17more about agreeing with the thought9:21that then can become a sin. So for9:24example, if you get tempted, a lot of9:26people think if I have a temptation in9:28my mind that's sin. Not necessarily9:31because Satan tempted Jesus. So does9:34that mean Jesus was a sinner when he was9:36like tempting him with food and kingdoms9:38of the world and things like that? No.9:40It's when you come into agreement with9:42it, that's when it becomes sin. So a9:45thought will come. It's when you consent9:46to it and accept it. Then it bleeds from9:49thought into like feeling emotion. Then9:52emotion usually manifests into behavior.9:55So like you could say in that case that9:57that's how action I call it the symptoms10:00of sin. But basically like sin is10:03obviously an identity and it's you're10:06born that way. But then sin is also kind10:08of an act. Sin is also an action in that10:12if you trust your thought then it'll10:14bleed into whatever you're thinking.10:16Let's say you have like a murderous10:17thought then you'll have murderous10:19feelings and then murderous behavior. So10:22yes. Yes it is.10:24>> It's not that we sin because we mess up.10:27It's that we agree with what the enemy10:29is saying again and that's the sin. M10:32>> the byproduct of that agreeing with him10:35you could say is sin but actually the10:37sin doesn't happen at the behavior it10:39happens at the thought process it10:41happens at the agreement process like10:43Satan will come and coersse you and then10:45if you agree with that and don't take10:47that thought captive to God yes that is10:50when it becomes a sin so yes although10:52we're perfected it that's why I say like10:55you know if you accept it you do have to10:56repent but repentance is not oh my bad I10:59accepted it repentance is Oh, that's why11:02I shouldn't accept it. See, I messed up11:04again. Cuz then people always ask the11:06same question. The follow-up question11:07is, okay, if we're perfected and11:09righteous and Jesus died for our sins,11:11then how come we're still not perfect11:13right now? How come we're still quote11:15unquote sinning? That's the battle. It's11:17like flesh will keep telling you, "Hey,11:19you're still alive. You're old you." And11:22then, uh, God's word will say, "No,11:24you're a new creature."11:26>> So, like that's what you have to battle11:28with every single day. That's why God11:29says you have to renew your mind daily11:32cuz Satan will literally accuse you.11:34Revelations 12:10 day and night. He's11:37accuser of the brethren day and night.11:39He'll be like, "You're not like that.11:40You're not like that. That's not it.11:42That's not it." Same thing with Adam and11:44Eve. When you look at Adam and Eve, like11:46they were sinless. They had no sin. And11:49then uh Satan came and was like, "Are11:53you sure he created doubt? Are you sure11:55that's what God said? Are you sure God's11:58not like withholding out on you? Are you12:00sure? Because in the day that you eat of12:02it, what I know is if you eat this12:03fruit, you're going to be God. And right12:06there, he created doubt through12:08thoughts. He didn't pluck the fruit and12:10then chop it up and give it to them. So12:12like when they agreed and was like, you12:14know what? When I look at that fruit, I12:15do want to be like that. And when I look12:17at it, it does look like it's food and12:18it doesn't look harmless. Right there,12:20they agreed with what Satan said. And12:22that was the fall.12:23>> It wasn't the plucking of and eating.12:25Right? So then like you know I fully12:28believe that I'm righteous and12:30perfected.12:30>> Yes.12:31>> There's still times that I have thoughts12:32and I reject those thoughts. Yes. But12:34let's say I12:35>> I12:36>> fall into I fall into it. Now I believe12:39that I'm doesn't mean I have to my12:41salvation is gone.12:42>> Yes.12:43>> Right.12:44>> So what what is that? I sinned or12:48>> Yeah. So you can sin and like mess up12:50and trust your thoughts because true sin12:52is unbelief. John 16:9. But that doesn't12:55mean you lose your salvation. It's not a12:56salvific issue as they say.12:59>> So, okay, I messed up. Like, let's say13:01use the analogy of like a kid and a son,13:03right? We call father a kid and a a dad.13:06We call God our father and that means13:09we're his son. So, let's say like even13:12in a worldly sense, right? If you13:13disrespect your dad and you do like even13:16horrible things to your dad, does that13:18mean that you're no longer his son13:20though? No. You're still his son. Do you13:22understand? You just messed up. Sure.13:24But it doesn't mean like, oh, you lost13:26all sunship. Like, that's it for you.13:28But that's how Christians and modern13:30Christianity treats it. Oh, if you mess13:32up, that's it's over for you. Like, you13:35need to not willful sin. You need to13:37really chill. You need to be careful13:38because they don't understand context,13:40right?13:41>> Yeah.13:41>> Gospel ad is officially live. So15:06then in that sense though because15:09[clears throat] sorry [laughter] I see15:10it I see you rolling your eyes.15:12>> No I'm not I'm not I'm literally15:13choking. I had that little one drop of15:15pepper spray in my15:16>> Okay.15:17>> So in that situation in that analogy15:20what I also imagine is let's say that15:22like you accept what you accept that15:25you're righteous and perfect what the15:26Bible says and then you go about your15:28life and you just struggle all the way15:30through. You still cheat, you still15:32lust. You still do drugs. You still15:34drink, but you're you're just fighting15:36that battle for whatever reason.15:37>> Yeah.15:38>> When you get up to heaven,15:40>> is God kind of just like, "There's my15:42troublemaking, difficult son that just15:45struggled all the way through and15:46couldn't."15:47>> You know what I'm saying?15:48>> No, I think he understands.15:50>> It says in the Bible, we don't have a a15:53messiah that can't reason or understand15:55us. So, he [clears throat] knows Jesus15:58wore the flesh for a reason, to16:00understand our pain, our anxiety. He16:02stressed he he felt depression. He felt16:05loneliness obviously. So he gets how16:07tough it is to be us, right? And he16:10knows that like we don't have a choice16:11because we're born that way. Um the only16:13choice that we have is to distrust our16:15thoughts. That's why God says in16:17Proverbs 3, lean not on your own16:18understanding. Like with all of your16:20ways acknowledge God. So why then,16:23right, the question that you're16:24basically asking is if we're Christian,16:27why then do we still struggle, right?16:29Why is it that we continuously like mess16:31up? And if we do mess up, like what's16:34the whole point of being Christian then16:36once we receive salvation, shouldn't we16:37have like at least get better? And most16:39people do, right? But some people16:41genuinely like Paul wrote 14 books of16:43the Bible, had a thorn on his side until16:46he died. It means he struggled with16:48something until death. But is God going16:51to be like,16:52>> "That's not me. [laughter]16:54>> I hope this thorn finally lets up one16:56day."16:56>> Literally, that's what everyone has that16:58mindset. I hope this thorn doesn't. But17:00then what he says is different in 217:02Corinthians 12. He says, "Because of17:04this, I'm closer to God."17:06>> But it's so true though. It's so true.17:09Like legit.17:11>> When do [clears throat] you search for17:12God? Jeremy, imagine if you were like17:14super successful with I17:15>> grateful guy.17:16>> If you were super Yeah. [laughter]17:19>> He does the Trump dance.17:20>> Yeah. Yeah. Thank you, God.17:23Gratitude.17:24[laughter]17:26But basically like if you were17:28successful, you went on your IASKA trip,17:30you were shroomed out, you were all17:31this, let's say, and you didn't need17:34like you had everything that you needed.17:36You definitely wouldn't be working for17:37this company. You wouldn't help us like17:39save many souls. You would literally17:40just be doing your own thing. And then17:42I'm sorry to say, you go up to heaven17:43and God's going to ask you like, "Where17:45are your fruits?" And you're just going17:46to be like, you're going to pull an17:47Iaska plant like this is my fruit. And17:49then you know, it's like no good, right?17:51So at least according to Christianity.17:53So, it's it's good that you went through17:55what you went through, the thorns on17:56your side, the the struggles in your,17:58you know, sin and your thoughts and18:00whatever, and then to ultimately come18:01back to what it is, right? Cuz you never18:03thought that you would be working for a18:04Christian company. And so, at the end of18:07the day, it's like God's not going to18:09heal you from something that he could18:12like utilize to help others like later18:15on, right? So, everyone struggles with18:17something. And if a Christian says they18:19don't struggle, that's BS because then18:21the Bible would be false. The Bible says18:24flesh and spirit are always at war. In18:27Romans chapter 7, Paul is saved at this18:29time. He's literally preaching to Rome,18:32but he's still saying, I do the things I18:34don't want to do. And then he18:35recognizes, oh, I'm wretched in me that18:38is in my flesh. There is nothing good.18:41Like that's what he realized. Oh, I18:43struggle because I think there's still18:46good in my flesh. But now I realize18:49there's nothing good inside of me. And18:51that's why I thank God. No wonder Jesus18:54had to save me.18:55>> Man, something just clicked for me.18:56>> Yeah. So, he Would you like to share18:58with the class, buddy?18:59>> Yeah. I mean, it just clicked for me19:00that it's like it's like the19:04the [clears throat] things that we call19:05struggle is just to exemplify grace.19:08>> Yes. like the it's19:10>> that's what you can when you're when19:12you're quote unquote repenting or when19:13you feel guilt which you which is not19:15from God.19:16>> What you should instead be reminded of19:18is there's somebody up there that19:20regardless of whatever I do, how many19:22times I slip up, how dirty I can be as a19:24human, I still wake up every day with19:27the breath in my lungs, things still19:28happen for me that are positive in my19:30life and I still get to go to heaven at19:32the end of it all.19:33>> That's love. That's love. And I learned19:35even through second Timothy chapter 2:1519:38speaks exactly what you were saying. It19:40says, "Study to show yourself approved."19:43I always I use I always used to think of19:45it as a legalistic thing.19:46>> Like I have to know the Bible to so that19:48if one day Aaron askked me a question, I19:49can be approved.19:50>> Yes. But that's not what it means. It19:52actually means study to show yourself19:54approved and rightly dividing the word19:57of truth because Satan is a father of20:00lies. And if every day he's lying to20:02you, you can't go to yourself because20:04you're going to be it's all convoluted.20:06You have to go to the word that shows20:08you, hey, study to see that I made you20:11approved.20:12>> Oh,20:13>> do you understand?20:14>> You get it [cough] vaguely.20:15[clears throat]20:16>> So where's the approved thing come from?20:18Is20:19>> from scripture.20:20>> What's this? What's the20:21>> So the approval is like you're20:22perfected. You're righteous. Whereas20:24every day Satan's like, if you're20:26righteous though, why did you sin? Why20:28did you mess up? Oh, you messed up so20:29much. makes you think about your past,20:31makes you think about your present,20:32worry about the future. God's like, um,20:34hello. Like, even though you messed up,20:37this is where you need to go to. Not20:38self, but to the word that says you're20:40approved.20:41>> So, it's study to show yourself that20:43you're approved. Cuz every day, Satan is20:46showing you that you're not approved,20:47that you messed up and you're flawed.20:49Right? So, God is saying you're perfect.20:52The Bible says we're perfect. Satan20:53goes, "No, you're not though. And look20:55at yourself." And then right there, it20:58comes down to focus. Where are you21:00putting your focus on? Are you focusing21:01on the word? Are you focusing on self21:03and your thoughts? And when that21:04happens, you lose sight of focus. You21:07lose sight of God. That's why God gave21:09us the Bible as a tool and as armor to21:12protect us from these types of things.21:13So when you read it, it then shows you,21:15"Oh, I'm approved." Cuz there's times21:17where, brothers and sisters, too, like21:19especially new Christians, baby21:20Christians, they'll be on fire and then21:22they'll be like, "Oh, but what if I lose21:24my salvation?" Like they'll burn out and21:26be like, "Ah," they question their21:28salvation. So, if you're questioning21:29your salvation, nine times out of 10,21:32I'm going to be honest, it's probably21:34because you're looking at yourself21:35again. Whereas, when you did receive21:38true biblical salvation, you're studying21:40the word and what the word Jesus Christ21:42and God says about you. So, somehow it21:45got like muddied and you're like now21:47looking at yourself again. And so,21:49that's why they go, "Oh, I messed up21:50again. I did this. I did that." And so,21:52everyone that comes to me, I always go,21:54"Okay, you messed up, right? You don't21:56feel like you're perfect. No, I'm not21:57perfect. you remember your sins. I21:59remember my sins. And then we go to22:00Hebrews 10:14, Hebrews 10:17. I don't22:02remember your sins and you're perfect.22:04So, which one is right? And right there,22:06they have to study that to show22:08themselves, oh, I'm I'm still approved22:10of of God. I'm qualified by God. But if22:13you don't read the Bible, you're only in22:15your feelings. Like I say, if you're not22:17in your word, you you can only be in22:19your feelings.22:20>> Yeah. So, so reading the Bible does not22:24make you approved, but only through22:26reading it can you realize you already22:28are.22:28>> Yes.22:29>> Got it.22:30>> You got it.22:31>> Bingo.22:31>> Bingo.22:32>> But most people think the opposite,22:33right? Oh, I have to read to then show22:36that I'm approved and qualified to speak22:38the word to to tell people the truth.22:40It's like not necessarily,22:42>> right? That's a legalistic thing. So,22:44they study and they study and study, but22:46they don't realize it's not for them.22:48It's for you, right? It's for yourself.22:51>> Absolutely.22:51>> Yeah. Study for yourself to be improved.22:54>> Interesting.22:55>> Yeah.22:55>> Wow. Deep bars. Clippy. Somebody wrote22:58this as a comment and I thought it was23:00good because it pertains to the episode23:02today about focus and discipline. She23:04said her name was Oh, sorry. It could be23:07a guy. Jyn. I thought it said Gina, but23:09it's [laughter] Jyn. Um, hi. I was23:11wondering why why I'm not retaining23:13information. For example, when I listen23:15to your podcast or sermons, I can't seem23:17to remember it or apply it to my life23:19without getting distracted.23:21>> That's good because they want23:23information, not transformation, right?23:26Like information is going to lead you to23:29being knowledgeable, but like you have23:31to be surrendered too. So the reason why23:34is because they're kind of accessorizing23:36the word to then want to be, you know,23:39transformed, right?23:40>> Well, hold up. Time out, Johnny. Time23:43out. Johnny,23:44>> is it my tonality?23:45>> Yes.23:46>> I wanted to say something.23:47>> Okay.23:48>> Somebody at in our live today came in.23:50I'm not telling you who. Somebody came23:52in. They said, "I prayed for you to die23:56because of your tonality."23:58>> What?23:58>> And they said, "Is that wrong?" And then24:01I was telling them about it. And then24:03they were like, "Yeah, whatever, bro.24:04All you do is yap. You don't know24:06anything about the Bible." So, I was24:08like, if you claim to be a Bible24:10believing Christian, but you pray for24:12someone else to die, low-key, that's24:14committing murder, [laughter] right?24:16Because the Bible says in your heart, if24:17you, you know, if you lust, you already24:20committed in your heart. Obviously, it24:22was in his heart to take it to God to be24:24like, I want him to die. It also sounds24:26familiar because they did this in Acts,24:28right? The Sanhedrin went against Paul24:30and was like, we're gonna fast and pray24:32for 40. we're gonna 40 people fasted and24:35prayed and told God, we will not stop24:37fasting and praying until Paul dies. And24:40in the end, they ended up dying, right?24:42So, you know, it's it's and why I'm24:44bringing this up is because it was the24:46same thing. A lot of the times, right?24:48People can't retain or even hear the24:50truth and they just it's because they24:52just want information. People follow us,24:55right? And I'm not trying to like fluff24:56our feathers, but we've studied the24:58Bible. We give unlocks, but people25:01>> Yep. People idolize, yeah, the three25:03wise men. People, three wise guys,25:06people idolize information. They idolize25:10wisdom so much so that they're missing25:13Jesus for it. Right? And I spoke about25:15this. So people think like, oh, I can25:18get the wisdom and not be surrendered. I25:19can get the scripture and I don't need25:21to surrender to Jesus. Right? People25:23love collecting truth and collecting25:26information. Right? But when it comes to25:28repentance, obedience, and the truth25:31confronts them to then change, they25:33don't want that part. And so then they25:35say it's your tonality. But today, I was25:39extremely calm and I did it on purpose25:42to be like, I guarantee you it's not25:44tonality. It's the fact that they see25:46they see peace, clarity, things like25:48that. And that and they're not peaceful25:51and they're not clear, let's say. And25:54because of that, it disturbs them,25:56right? And it's like your light will25:58always disturb someone's darkness,26:01right? Your hard work will always26:03disturb someone who's lazy. Your, you26:06know, again, your peace will always26:08disturb someone's chaos. So, it's really26:10not a tonality thing. Now, to get back26:12to that point,26:13>> well, well, no, come on. We can't skip26:15over that. That's pretty wild. So, then26:17>> like what did how did the conversation26:19end? The guy just was like dipped and26:21was like, "I hope you die." He was just26:22like, "I I hope you I I'm praying for26:24you to die and you know because I don't26:27like your tonality."26:28>> I should have been like, "I'm praying26:29back for you and I'm more spiritual than26:31you, so I have to pray 10 times as26:33hard."26:33>> No, no. The way I saw it was like this,26:35right? Obviously, you could be like,26:37"That's hella disrespectful." There's26:38one side, but the other side of it was26:40like, it's Sunday morning and this was26:43right before church. You woke up and you26:46chose that to lead with. It's kind of26:50It's pitiful to me. It's like dang. Like26:52Lamentations 3:23 says his mer his mercy26:56is new every morning that the wrath26:58passes over you. Cuz we're all deserving27:00of death, right? And I mean honestly, he27:02kept it real. He was like, "Yeah, I want27:04you to basically I pray for you to die27:06cuz I don't like you basically." Okay,27:08cool. But at the same time, where is God27:11in all of that? If you claim to be a27:13loving Christian, which is the fruit of27:15the spirit, a loving Catholic Orthodox,27:17whatever it is, right?27:19Why did you lead with that? Right? And27:21it's like, and then to ask, is that27:23wrong? It was almost like a rage baiting27:26type of thing. Like, of course, it's27:27wrong, right? But27:29>> what I saw was like, man, I don't know.27:31I just felt sad for them.27:33>> I was like, dude, you're someone who you27:36don't know parasoccially online has27:39triggered you so much because of certain27:43scriptures that I'm quoting to then make27:45you go and be like, I want you dead.27:48That was kind of crazy to me, right? And27:50it's just like I wonder how they live27:52their lives. Not even in no disrespect,27:54but it's like if if someone online who27:56doesn't really matter can affect you so27:59much to then go in front of God to pray28:01about them to die.28:04It's like then there must be a lot of28:06things that be affecting you.28:07>> I don't even pray for like, you know,28:10I'll just say like murderers in prison28:14to die. You know what I'm saying? Like28:15that's just a crazy thought. Now, when28:17you position it like that, it's like,28:19yeah, bro is definitely sad because that28:21means he had to join the Discord, which28:23is another level, and then know that you28:25were online to come in to say something28:27like that. So,28:29>> on a Sunday morning, you know, so I just28:31saw it as like I get it. There's times28:34where I was like frustrated and I, you28:36know, I think obviously it's the enemy,28:38right? So, I tried not to I try to be28:40more understanding in that way, but28:42people were also blown away because I28:44saw it and I couldn't not see the28:45comment. I was just like, "What?" And28:47then he double and quadruple, like28:49tripled down on it, basically like,28:50"Yeah, bro. All you're doing is yapping.28:52Like, you didn't preach the Bible,28:53right, so you should die." And then I28:55realized there's a lot of people that28:56think like that. He was just bold enough28:58to say it,28:59>> right? And so through that, I'm just29:01like, it makes sense why the Bible says29:03what it says, you know? And and there29:06was other people that were even like not29:08agreeing with him, but was just like, if29:10you're a heretic, that's what you29:12deserve. You know what I mean? like you29:14deserve to be like this. Again, not29:16knowing the full context of what I was29:18saying. Mind you, this whole time I was29:20literally just answering people's29:21questions. It was more talking about29:23anxiety. There was like atheists in29:25there trying to like bring them to God.29:27And like they don't care like the the29:30way that the culture, modern29:31Christianity is nowadays. It's like I29:35feel like you messed up and you're not29:37saying something that's that I feel like29:39is right29:40>> and so therefore I can treat you however29:42I want29:44>> like I have a right and and not only29:45that it's almost like my due diligence29:47and my duty from God to like get you.29:50You know what I mean? And it's it's kind29:52of wild.29:53>> They're mighty bold when they're29:54anonymous.29:56>> Serious.29:57>> Yeah, it's true. But it's it's it's29:59again it's not even them. I I genuinely30:01believe that that's the enemy.30:03>> Because 10 years ago when I was in the30:05streets doing all of my crazy stuff,30:08nobody was saying nothing about me.30:10>> Now that I'm telling people, hey guys,30:12you're righteous and you're perfected.30:13Not because you're good or I'm good or30:15we're perfect, but because the perfect30:17one died for us, gave us, you know, the30:19transmission of sins and remission of30:21sins and forgave us. And from that30:24alone, people are like, he don't believe30:26in the Lord's prayer, which is not true.30:28He doesn't believe in repentance. Not30:30true. He doesn't think that dreams and30:32visions are from God. Not true. All30:34these things are spinning and it's30:35basically like bro thinks like he's30:38better than everybody. Bro thinks he's30:40better. Right? People will come into my30:42live and be like submit to Rome. And30:45I'll literally go why do you lead with30:47that? Why not submit to Jesus? Like why30:50is that the first thing that comes out30:52of your mouth? And then they move the30:53well well Rome was submitted to Jesus30:55and but and it's like right but why30:57would you come in with that that that30:58prideful attitude is this you know so31:01you know I again to to not to go too far31:04but to answer the question right to come31:06back to this question people can't31:09retain information because they're not31:11focused on transformation they're31:13focused on information they want to just31:16know the knowledge but again guys31:18knowledge reading scriptures without31:20surrender is actually satanic31:23What? Right? People are like that's31:25crazy. If you read scripture and only to31:29get unlocks and to be big brain and to31:31have knowledge, 1 Corinthians 8 says31:35knowledge puffth up, right? And love,31:38right, has you have to have love31:39basically with the knowledge which is31:41charity in in Jesus. So if you think31:44about it, why I say it's demonic, why31:46you idolize idolizing wisdom and31:48knowledge is is a bad thing and it can31:50be a bad thing in that Satan was like31:53that. He knew all the scriptures. He31:56knew everything about God. He was31:58literally a guardian to the throne. He32:00was literally beautiful, wise, all that.32:03But he had no surrender. He didn't know32:05how to surrender to the information. He32:08just took it and was like, "Oh, I'm like32:10basically number two here and I'm better32:12than everybody." And then that fed his32:14pride and his ego so much so that he was32:17like, "Man, I deserve that throne." And32:20he didn't like throw lightning bolts and32:22like thunderbolts and fight in heaven.32:24He just had that one heart. I want to be32:26the most high. And God kicked him out32:28just like that because he knew this32:31guy's already corrupted. You know,32:33Pharisees have this mindset where it's32:35like, I know what I know, and if you say32:37something against what I know cuz it32:40scares me, I'm going to kill you. And32:42that's literally what they did to Jesus,32:43right? Jesus came and flipped their32:45foundation and was like, "Y'all search32:47the scriptures, but you missed God32:49inside of them." And they're like,32:50"What? We love God." And it was this con32:53it wasn't like he was harsh to them. He32:56was just like, "If you love God, you32:58would have loved me. I'm from God." And33:00they're like, "Blasmous. you're a wine33:02babbler, you're this, this, and that.33:03You're you love you love prostitutes,33:05etc., etc. Like, it was because he was33:08showing them finally his truth was33:10disturbing their peace and it was making33:12them realize maybe I don't know. And so33:16the things that I say without no33:17disrespect, if I just say it truthfully,33:20it exposes to a lot of people that maybe33:22that what they're saying isn't right.33:24And so that's scary, right? It's like,33:26dang, now I don't know. So I need to33:29make him the bad guy. your tonality. I'm33:31going to It's a distraction. It's not my33:33tonality. It's me telling the truth and33:36then you that truth is disrupting33:38something inside that you're not ready33:39to let go of. And if you don't let that33:41go, then you're going to be like, "All33:43right, Johnny's the evil one. We we have33:46to Everybody needs a villain, right?33:49Some people need you to be a villain,33:51respectfully. Why? So that they could33:53then hide behind their acts. They can33:56hide behind they can skirt33:58accountability, right? Right? And I tell34:00people, I'll be the villain all day.34:01That's fine. But at the end of the day,34:03when we stand in front of God, how are34:05you going to unpack that if you don't34:07unpack it now and accept it now? How are34:09you going to unpack that? You know, so34:10it's very dangerous. But I will be the34:12bad guy. You know, there's a scarf face34:14when he's like, "You need people like me34:17>> so that you can go look."34:19>> Yeah.34:19>> There's the bad guy, right? It's like,34:22you need people like me. So I I34:23genuinely understand that like I have to34:25be the whatever they say that I am34:27because if I'm not then they're going to34:30have to face the reality that they may34:32not know what they're talking about and34:34they may lose their congregations34:35overnight respectfully and they may be34:37like dang maybe I'm not shephering34:39correctly and instead of flipping their34:41foundation because they have a platform34:43fueled by ego they rather just be like34:45I'm cool let me hide behind this and be34:47like you don't know what you're talking34:48about and I'm not going to change34:50>> or even just having a conversation with34:51you. Yeah,34:52>> because to that person you were saying34:54like, okay, well that's because you're34:55looking for information, not34:56transformation.34:57>> Maybe she's a complete beginner too,34:59right? She doesn't know that it's35:00satanic. You know, her [clears throat]35:02intention is pure. Yes,35:03>> I just taught you. You just told me35:04about how I should read the Bible to35:06accept not to understand or whatever it35:07is or when you get angry, this is what35:09you should think about or reject your35:10thoughts. She's trying to retain that so35:12that she can apply it some way in her35:14life, right?35:15>> Um then what would you recommend35:17somebody? What does it mean to be35:19surrendered as a beginner when they're35:20listening to something like this? And35:22you know,35:23>> surrendering is is in that situation is35:26you have to realize that God is allowing35:29this to happen cuz if she could keep the35:32and retain the information and it was35:34good for her, don't you think God knows35:36that? Why would he not allow that to35:38happen then? So there must surrender is35:41oh God's not allowing this to happen35:44there. What is God's heart? So, she35:47wants to learn information because of35:49good intention, right? Sure, there's35:52nothing wrong with that. But you also,35:55have you thought about God's heart,35:56though? In everything that we do as35:58Christians, guys, especially for new36:00believers, listen up. We have to think36:03about God's heart. But what do we think36:05about is we start off just thinking36:07about our hearts. How do I preach the36:09gospel to someone? How do I level up?36:11Okay, I want to be like Johnny Chang, so36:13I need to start reading. So, I need to36:14start praying. Okay. How do I fast so36:16that I can fast? It's all I surrender is36:20what is your heart in this God? And what36:23do you think about? A lot of new baby36:26Christians think that surrendering is I36:29have to do this. I have to give this up.36:30I have to learn more. I have to grow36:33spiritually. Of course, those are36:35important things. But the one thing that36:37people forget about surrender is not36:41adding God into the equation. What are36:44you surrendering to and what are you36:46surrendering for? God. You surrender36:49your pride so that God's humility can36:52take over. You surrender your control so36:55that God can take control. This is what36:58surrender is. It's not, oh, I'm going to37:01study to have more control so that I37:04don't have any more. I want more peace.37:07God doesn't want that because then37:08you'll idolize peace. Then you'll37:11idolize control. So a lot of people,37:13especially baby Christians, they go37:15extra hard, read five chapters, 10 books37:18a day type stuff, and then they burn out37:21because God is trying to shift them from37:23performative conditional faith and37:25confirmation to actual faith and37:29surrender. And this is what God wants37:31from us. So when you're wanting to learn37:33and retain information, beautiful, but37:36you're missing the whole thing about37:38retaining the information comes from37:40grace. Grace is this thing of I will37:44work hard and I will plan boldly but37:47I'll surrender the outcome to God. And37:50that's what it comes down to at the end37:52of the day. Every baby Christian listen37:54up. This is what you have to learn about37:56surrender is not what I can do for God.38:00It's what can I step and step away38:04because of God. How can I allow God into38:06the equation so he can do it for me?38:09That's the whole premise of38:10surrendering.38:11>> This thing is blowing my mind right now38:13for the reason that I, you know, I hurt38:17my Achilles or whatever. And I was like38:20so focused on the recovery process. I38:23was like, I need to sleep right and do38:25all the workouts [clears throat] George38:26gives me perfectly or whatever. And38:28never once in that thought process was38:30like, hey God, I'm going to do this to38:32the best of my ability and if you can38:33heal me, I would appreciate that. Now I38:35did recover at the end of the day and38:37then I hurt my back and even in this38:39back process I keep it's so much of me38:42of like oh like I didn't I didn't38:44stretch properly which is why it feels38:46strain today. I'm always I have this38:47nervousness versus okay God it's not38:50healing the ex exactly the way that I38:52want. So that must mean something. So I38:55will do the best that I can. I'll rest38:56today. I'm always trying to like ice it38:58a little more so maybe I could go a39:00little extra hard or like, okay, yeah,39:02>> my back doesn't feel amazing today, but39:03I'm going still push through the workout39:05because that's going to get me closer to39:06recovery instead of just thinking like,39:08all right, it's not going the exact way39:10that I want. God, what do you want from39:12this?39:13>> Yes.39:13>> And and that's it. Maybe I won't39:14>> surrender.39:15>> Yeah.39:16>> And it's also crazy because there's also39:18uh even I just think about everything39:20that we're doing on the business side.39:21It's like we have plans and we all work39:23very hard and and I have the idea of39:27like it it must be God in reality like39:29right we always have plans and they39:30always go 10x39:32>> what we expect like it's always just the39:34result is never what we think it think39:36it's going to be.39:36>> Yes.39:37>> And even in planning for 2026 never have39:40I well I have thought okay like we're39:44going to plan all this and we're going39:45to do our best and hopefully God blesses39:46it. I'm never truly like every day I39:49wake up and I'm like I got to move39:50through this checklist or else we're not39:52going to get to the end goal versus I'm39:54just going to do the best I can and God39:56if it if it is your will then the39:59results will come.40:00>> Facts.40:01>> Not surrendered. Not surrendered.40:03>> Yeah, basically. But that's why I'm here40:06mida.40:07>> Yeah, but you're mean to me.40:08>> No, that's why I'm mean to you. That's40:10why I'm mean to him. Just [laughter]40:11kidding.40:11>> Look at him. Imagine working with a guy40:13who thinks he's God. I'm just kidding.40:16Yeah. [laughter]40:17>> No, I'm genuinely though not surrendered40:19in in in a few senses of that. Don't40:21touch me.40:22>> Sorry. Sorry, I [laughter] was just I'm40:24genuinely though not surrendered in the40:26sense that40:27>> I can have I can I understand that40:31surrendering is like40:33>> alignment with God's plan basically like40:35how can you align with what his plan is40:36already for you40:38>> and then just accepting that kind of40:39>> I guess the non-surrender comes from40:41like I just really hope the plan is fire40:44for me. M it's like I just really hope40:47the plan does not I was talking to this40:49kid at church about that who I've seen 540:51years old he's now 17 you know he's he's40:54grown up and uh you know he's just he's40:56just a a good kid and he's he was40:59talking to me about looks maxing41:02>> right and he's like bro I my plates are41:05closed [laughter]41:08>> what41:10>> you need a lot of it look [laughter] it41:11up41:12>> he needs looks maximum I'm41:15No, but like so he was talking about41:17knee lengthening lengthening surgery.41:19>> What's that? [laughter]41:22>> You need foot shrinking surgery. They41:25got that [laughter]41:28>> foot shrinking surgery.41:30>> Okay, but sorry. Sorry.41:31>> But he was [laughter]41:34got paddles for feet.41:37>> He'll fix this medically someday.41:39>> He has to get custom shoes.41:41>> Boy, you got Shack sho. Shack feet.41:43Yeah. [laughter]41:44>> So, um, he was talking about looks41:46maxing and he was just being honest with41:50me. He's like, you know, Johnny Sun,41:52Uncle Johnny in Korean. He's like, I41:55feel like a lot of people tell me things41:56just to cope. He's five, six, 17 years41:59old. He has a hard posture to want to be42:01tall. And so, I was like, hey, you know,42:05I know you're tired of hearing, pray42:07about it. Maybe God will make you42:09taller. Right? He was very logical. He's42:11like, I went and got X-rayed. Doctor42:13said that my plates closed. Apparently42:15that means you can't grow anymore. The42:17fact that there there is no more42:18calcification in the bones, etc., etc.,42:21right? All this logical thing. 17. I'm42:23like, these kids are smart, bro. When I42:24was 17, I was like, the prison, like42:27that was it, you know? So, I'm sitting42:29here and I'm like, man, this kid is42:31logical, but I could see he's super42:33condemned. So he tells me straight up,42:35Johnny, I don't even pray anymore42:38>> because I almost feel like it's a it's42:40fraudulent when I'm sitting here and I'm42:42saying I'm thankful to God. I'm really42:44not. So I'm like, you know what's funny42:46is like you're you think that you have42:48to be this, you know, super beautiful,42:51articulate prayer. I told him just keep42:55it real with God. And it was like eyes42:57his eyes lit up. He's like I was like42:59you can tell him hey God I honestly do43:02want to be tall and I pray Lord that yes43:05with my cuz he's doing stretching to get43:07taller. He's running to get taller,43:10right? I guess at 17 you just want like43:12to be tall. You just want to you know43:13whatever it is. So I understood him and43:15and I wasn't telling him the pastoral43:17ministerial guidance that most people43:19would say. Have faith in God. Believe43:21he'll do it and if not you know you43:24don't need that. That's vanity. Like I I43:25didn't tell him any of that. I said, '43:27If you want that and it matches up with43:29alignment of God's plan, why wouldn't he43:31give it to you? The thing is, he I don't43:34think he wants you to idolize it. So,43:35he's not going to give you something43:36that's going to poison you. However, I43:38think you should still go to God and be43:40like, "God, this is my real heart. I43:41really want this." And if that's the43:44case, like, if you give it to me, great.43:46If you don't give it to me, okay, then43:48can you give me the heart? Cuz I'm I'm43:50going to be honest. I don't at least for43:51now, I don't want to I don't want to be43:53short. Like, no one wants to be short.43:55You're 17. Why do you have to be short?43:57Right.43:57>> It's not that bad. [laughter]43:59>> You guys are The way you're saying it is44:01always triggered.44:02>> The way you're saying it is just kind of44:03a little tonality. It's like your life44:06isn't over forever. I know it seems like44:08it now.44:09>> Kind I know it kind of is, but44:11>> I'm short too. I'm 53 so it doesn't44:13matter.44:14>> Anyways,44:14>> then Jeremy must be like 39. [laughter]44:18>> Just kidding.44:18>> Continue. So, so I told him that and he44:22was like, "So, Uncle Johnny, do I just44:24tell God like what I really feel?" And I44:27was like, "Yes." Because he doesn't want44:30you to fake it. And and this kid was44:33very like sincere and he was honest44:36about it. He's like, "I just don't want44:38to like be this hype basically. And I I44:42don't I can't change my heart to sit44:44there and say that I'm I'm okay with it.44:46That's not what I want. And I was like,44:48"So then go to God." And I was like,44:49"There's times where I think about it,44:51too." Like, "Okay, God, I'm I'm44:53frustrated." And I'll pray like that.44:55And he just looked at me like, "You pray44:56like, "I'm frustrated, God." Like,44:58"Yeah, what's wrong with that?" If he's45:00our father, right? Like, imagine talking45:04to your dad like, "Oh, dad of all dads,45:07like your worldly dad, you know, amazing45:10father of mine. Best chef in Korea Town,45:13father." Like, you know, it's like he45:15would be like, "Yeah, hurry up." like45:16what do you want? You look at me weird.45:18So I told him when you talk to your45:20father just talk to him normally.45:22>> I think that I don't know his dad so I45:24can't say. But I think that for me it45:26was like when I was talking to my dad it45:28was very like dismissive or like it's a45:30Korean dad like there's no love there's45:32no understanding and again it's a lot of45:34like just45:36>> either45:37>> you know work hard pray about it you45:39don't go to church enough. It's a lot of45:40like you don't do these things which is45:42why you're where you're at. So, I can45:45kind of understand as a 17-year-old,45:46you're not the close. Your dad is like45:48the last person you want to be close45:49with.45:50>> True.45:50>> But that is um that's kind of crazy to45:53me that at 17 he's thinking about leg45:56lengthening surgery. And45:58>> I think that's the power of social media46:00though.46:00>> Dangerous.46:01>> The crazier thing that you said is um46:04you're like, "Get your hand away from46:06me."46:06>> I'm not going to touch you. I swear.46:08>> Why? Every time I talk,46:10>> they already leave comments about swear46:11to God. I would I swear that46:13>> they already leave comments about him.46:14You're making it worse.46:16>> You can't hide it. Anyways,46:18>> um no, the craziest thing cuz he's not46:20going to his dad, he's going to God. And46:22it's like the thing that you said is um46:25like if you're going to pray for46:26something, he's like it may happen and46:28if not, pray that you have the heart to46:30accept that it doesn't or whatever.46:31Which is like that's the craziest part.46:32It's like46:33>> when you pray correctly, you're you're46:35going to get one of two things. What you46:37prayed for or the heart to accept that46:39you're not getting what you prayed for,46:40which46:41>> or Number three, sometimes something46:43better.46:43>> Yeah, you just never know. Like46:45>> I think it's always better.46:47>> Even if you pray for exactly what you46:49want, it is always better than what you46:51exactly what you want. Cuz you don't you46:53think you know what you want until God46:55goes, "This is what you actually want."46:57And it like blows your mind.46:59>> I would not be mad if I suddenly was47:01like 6'4. Just putting that out there.47:04[gasps] God's like, "This is what you47:06actually want." Like platform shoes.47:08[laughter]47:09I'm like,47:10>> that's why they made those Tik Tok shop47:12shoes that goes like 5 foot one, 6 foot47:14one, or whatever it is, right? Like the47:16guy was47:17>> Yeah. It's like, well then, but that's47:18counterproductive cuz then I'll just buy47:20those shoes and I'll be like 7 foot one.47:22[laughter]47:24>> Smogging me still.47:26>> No, just ways to hide at that point.47:27[laughter] Being comfortable in your47:29airplane seat.47:30>> Also, just like the joke thought of like47:31you not understanding any of it and you47:33going home and just like praying to be47:34taller. God, I know I'm like pushing 30,47:37but please reopen those plates.47:40[laughter]47:40>> If you show up next week like it47:42freaking worked47:45>> and we'd be we'd have the number one47:46podcast. I'd be [laughter] like, "Oh,47:47they got some good info here. I should I47:50should get the leg finish surgery47:52[laughter] and claim it's God."47:56>> Oh my gosh.47:57>> I prayed for Tom's IDs. [laughter]48:00Thank you, Lord. I can now reach the top48:03of the fridge.48:06Oh my god.48:07>> Um dude, on that topic cuz cuz a young48:09kid being influenced like that is48:11>> it is it is very hard [clears throat]48:13like especially the way that people48:15structure information. It can be very48:17believable.48:17>> Yeah. He was talking about peptides. He48:19was just I was crazy kids. Super48:22>> dude when you're young you don't need48:23peptides cuz your body is producing all48:25maximum just healthy food and you can48:27like literally if you focus on it now48:29like you're going to be fine. But kids48:31want that. Uh it's that shortcut hack,48:34right? It's it's like that I want it now48:36and it's impulsive, you know? But I48:38think he was able to just have48:39fellowship with me and then be freed48:42from all of that. And yeah, of course48:44he's going to change his heart again,48:46you know, and and stuff like that. We're48:48hiring, guys. Core of the Heart is48:50hiring, but listen carefully. We're not48:52just building a company. We're building48:53one of the fastest growing Christian48:55communities in the world. It might work49:59out. So, if you're amazing at something,50:01you don't see the perfect job50:02description, just reach out. Tell us50:03what you're good at. Maybe it'll work.50:05>> Genuinely, I can't do this without a50:06team. So, I'm very thankful for anyone50:08who supports the mission. I look forward50:10to hearing from you guys.50:11>> Australia just passed a law in December50:13that bans all social media for kids50:15under 16. Social media platforms must50:17make effort to make sure that they're50:19not sneaking around trying to get back50:20on the platforms. [clears throat] Do you50:22guys think that's good or bad?50:24>> Really?50:25>> Yes.50:25>> Is there kids content? Like I know50:27there's kids YouTube.50:28>> No, they cannot get on. They're not50:29allowed to make an Instagram account,50:31Tik Tok account. You're not allowed to50:32be on the platforms if you're under 16.50:34Yes. And50:35>> that's fire.50:36>> Yeah, I read an article about it.50:38>> I like that.50:39>> I think it's good. And like if with50:41everything, it's going to be have good50:42and bad, right? Good in that of course50:44like they won't have all this brain rot50:45access to all this thing that50:48>> influence like that,50:50>> right? But also it could I don't know50:53like I also see it as like I'm not like50:55a conspiracy theorist or whatever but I50:57do know like the onederee shifts and the50:59good intentions.51:00>> I always know that good intentions are51:02not God intention and like51:04>> everything marriages that end up in51:06divorces. Divorces didn't just start off51:09as divorces like it's started off with51:11two families bringing each other51:13together and getting married and good51:15intentions. So just being careful. I51:18don't trust the human heart. It's not51:20even the government, whatever. The human51:22heart, we're naturally corrupted,51:24>> right? I say this even about kids. Like,51:27>> where do you when do you teach kids how51:29to lie? Baby Isaiah was like 2 years51:31old. Bro was lying already. I was like,51:33where did you learn this? You're born in51:35church. These other you can't even say51:37anything. You're you're like mama. Like,51:40that's it. But you're lying. Was51:41throwing rocks at Pastor Kim's car one51:44time. Boy had the biggest rock in his51:46hand. I sat there and I was watching him51:49and he had horrible aiming. He's just51:51like,51:52and then I walk up to him and I go,51:54"Isaiah, why are you throwing at rocks51:57at pastor's car?" And he goes52:01puts his hand like this and he's like,52:03"No." And I was like, "Did you throw52:06rocks at the car?" "No." "No."52:08Literally, I'm like, "Who taught you to52:11lie, bro? We're born that way." Right?52:13It says Isaiah uh in Psalm 58:3 it52:16speaks about this. They speak lies from52:18the mother's womb. And it's like52:20interesting. They don't even know52:21English or the language yet, but it's52:23just their nature, right? And so if52:25we're naturally just kind of52:28opportunistic without realizing it,52:30>> you know, we have good intentions, but52:32unintentionally we or subconsciously we52:34do these kind of evil, you know,52:37inherently bad things. then I can't52:40trust it because when money is involved,52:42hearts change. When motives are52:45involved, hearts change. Like when thing52:47shiny object syndrome comes, hearts52:50change. We flip so fast. It's just52:53crazy. I saw a Tik Tok recently where52:56this this power couple was on social52:58media. I don't know who it was, but it53:00was like they were they were like famous53:02A-list celebrities and it said something53:04like they like he was like holding the53:05girl like behind, right? And it's like,53:08how can you go from this and they were53:09together for like 10 years to like they53:11then they broke up and then on the53:13streets they passed by and they're not53:15even looking at each other. It's like I53:17was like shared my body with you, shared53:18my time with you, shared my life with53:20you, shared my family with you and then53:21when I see you I'm just like whatever.53:23Like you you go from like being married53:26to straight up being I don't even know53:27who you are. Like and nor do I care who53:30you are anymore, you know? So that's53:32what the human heart does genuinely53:34without God 100%. And even with God,53:36things, you know, wishy-washy, get53:38tempted, etc. So,53:40>> so if Prime Minister Chang, what would53:42you do instead? [clears throat] Do you53:42think that it's just like a stupid law?53:45>> Bro, I would I would fix the issue at at53:49the core. You guys know already my53:51answer. If you bleed the gospel into53:53everything, I genuinely think if you're53:56teaching what the gospel teaches, think53:57for others, place others above yourself,54:00which and I'm not talking about one set54:02of people. I'm talking if everybody54:03thought like this. If everybody was like54:06Jesus and thought and just modeled your54:08life like him, I don't think these54:10issues would arise. I think we would sit54:12there and be like, "Yeah, I want to do54:13this, but let me think about other54:15people." Now, obviously that's fantasy54:17land because nobody's really going to54:19follow that. But that's why we're here54:21to try to at least blanket the world54:22with the gospel. The gospel is is54:24literally, as cliche as it sounds, to54:27me, I believe wholeheartedly it is the54:29cure. If you teach somebody the gospel,54:31if it can change someone who went who54:33did crazy stuff like me, you guys know54:35my story. If it can make my father who54:38was literally like beating me, telling54:40me he hated me to then go and give54:42parental advice online and be like, "I'm54:45sorry, I messed up. This is where I54:47messed up and have all this awareness54:49and self-reflection and etc., etc." Then54:52how can it not change even like the54:54worst corrupt people? We went to the54:55Palinsky unit. We saw like literally54:58people just changing, right? And like55:01going, "Wow, I never heard it this way."55:02We see them in these little cells locked55:05down 23 in one, 23 hours a day, 1 hour55:07of wreck, and they're flipping through55:09the Bible telling me to like, "Hold on,55:11hold on." So they could get to the Bible55:13verse. Like, this is what God does to55:16people. And people don't realize that.55:17This is what the gospel does to people.55:19But again, a lot of people don't reach55:21that position. They're like, "Whatever."55:23Pastor Kim was talking about it today in55:25the sermon, how his father was like,55:27"Oh, you can't listen to church. They're55:29full of hacks and they're full of55:30scammers and they're this and that." But55:32when he kind of had a brush with death55:34and he realized that none of those55:36things mattered, then Pastor Kim was55:38able to then preach the gospel to his55:40own dad and his dad passed away55:42receiving salvation. Yes, it was a55:44deathbed salvation, but still he55:46received it in the end, right? He went55:48from mocking the church, not being able55:51to even bring up Jesus because he was so55:52repulsed by the name to then being like,55:54"You know what? I'm gonna die." And and55:57on his deathbed, he was calling all of55:59his friends. Like, "Yo, guys, I'm going56:01to go up there and prepare a place for56:03y'all." And they're like, "What the56:05heck?" Like, I only have six friends56:06that are left, and I want to preach to56:08all six of my friends. Like, how do you56:10go from ridiculing the church to having56:12a change of heart and going, "I was56:14wrong, and I I really do want to be a56:16good friend and care about them." and56:17then preaching the gospel to them. It's56:18just only the gospel wide thing. There's56:20nothing else that's really56:21transformative like that,56:22>> you know?56:23>> Yeah.56:23>> Just give them Angel Studios basically.56:25>> Yeah.56:26>> Is it like all gospel- centered social56:29media?56:30>> Yeah. Core of the heart.56:31>> Yeah. I'm like then like maybe we can I56:33don't know if we even want to leave this56:34in but56:34>> Christian Mingle.56:35>> If there is no like just straight up56:39Angel Studios of Instagram like the56:42angel what Angel Studios is to Netflix56:44of what a Christian app should be to56:45Instagram. That's what I'm saying. We56:46can cut this out.56:47>> No, no, no. Leave it in. My question is56:50>> who would be interested in that?56:51>> No, no, no, no, no. Who would be?56:52[laughter]56:53What is Christian social media to you?56:55Because my idea of social media is it's56:57social. You're posting about things and56:59at the end of the day it's like57:01>> like who's determining what's Christian57:03or not? Because I want to post57:05>> my gym and someone else is like Jezebel.57:09You know what I'm saying? or I watch we57:11should do it like OG Facebook where it57:14was like just like a community and then57:17didn't it like start like that where it57:18was just college like you had to be like57:20fraternity and it was just in there and57:22then obviously it branched out to57:24everything else but like we should do57:25like spiritual te like test the spirit57:28quizzes where it's like are you guys57:30aligned with scripture and then you know57:32let them do it cuz then it would be like57:33what's the issue with all of that57:35>> we have to sit here and reimagine what57:36social media is because our idea of it57:38is only the Instagrams and the Facebooks57:41and the Vine, but what57:42>> I mean, I think it would be just57:44pretty terms of service that was57:47biblically anchored terms of service.57:50So, like at the end of the day, people57:52can disagree whether or not posting a57:54bikini pickers, whatever. But there's57:55just there would be moderation on it57:57that would just be like57:59>> more than 50% skin, not okay. Okay. If58:01you want to wear a crop top, 30% like58:03whatever whatever the terms of service58:04is. It's like you can58:06>> Oh, so maybe everyone should be covered58:08except their eyes. That sounds like58:10something.58:11>> Oh, only show 2% skin. [laughter]58:15>> No. Um,58:16>> haram. Haram.58:16>> No, I That's funny. I think that I think58:19that that Australia like ban on social58:22media for everyone under the age of 1658:23is interesting and I'm jealous of them58:25and good for those kids or whatever, but58:27low key in the state of the world, it58:29could just put them behind. It's like58:31when you have so many people making58:32entire lives and careers off of social58:34media and now an entire continent is not58:36going to get it until they're 16. I58:38mean, they're just totally behind at58:40that point. You're late.58:41>> I I I would like make sense, but I think58:44like they would be more mentally58:46developed though.58:46>> Yep. I also disagree with that because58:48also the percentage of people actually58:50taking advantage of social media is58:52tiny. Tiny. Think about the people that58:54were literally give them a blueprint of58:55how to make a viral video and they don't58:57do it. It's so so small. And I think58:59also Sure.59:00>> I also felt that way about my friends59:02that were homeschooled. I was like, "You59:04guys are weird." But then they would59:05adapt. They would59:06>> stop. You're going to get cancelled.59:07>> No, no, no. My sister was homeschooled.59:09My oldest homeschooled.59:10>> Sleepy was.59:11>> Yeah. Look at her. I'm just kidding.59:13[laughter]59:14I'm just kidding.59:15>> She's weird. She's awake. She herself59:17sleeps.59:17>> My old My oldest My oldest sister was59:20homeschooled. So, it's like I have a59:22black friend, you know. [laughter] It's59:23the same. My oldest sister had59:25homeschooled. Don't come for me. But but59:28um you know a lot of times where I would59:30think like oh like you said they59:32developed in other ways where I'm like59:34they're way ahead of everybody else and59:36then they get the socialization in like59:383 four years of high school. You know59:39what I'm saying?59:41>> So I actually I'm really excited to see59:44what the difference is. Um and I think59:46it's going to be just different. I don't59:47think it's they're going to be that59:48negative. I think that there's going to59:49be some positive from it. And a lot of59:51times like I didn't like that my dad did59:54this to me, but at the same time I do59:56appreciate it. When cell phones came59:58out, I did not have a cell phone until I1:00:00was a senior in high school. So everyone1:00:01in middle school. Yes. Yes.1:00:04>> So no m No, no, no, sorry. Sorry. Sorry.1:00:06Junior, end of sophomore year is when I1:00:08got my cell phone going into1:00:10>> Wait, but when were all the people you1:00:11were friends with getting phones?1:00:12>> Middle school. So eighth grade, seventh1:00:14grade, they all had phones. You know1:00:16what my mom would do1:00:17>> to track me down? She'd call all my1:00:19friends. So, every one of my friends had1:00:21J mom saved in their phone [laughter]1:00:23and then they would just be like, "Yo,1:00:24your mom was looking for you." Like,1:00:26>> that's so funny.1:00:27>> Yeah. But, um, but other than that1:00:30though, I just didn't I didn't really1:00:31have a phone or like I'm like hooked on1:00:33all those things. Yes. I felt like I was1:00:35missing out, but1:00:36>> look how smart and intelligent I am.1:00:38>> No. When When did you get your first1:00:40phone?1:00:41>> 25.1:00:42>> 25. Really? You didn't have one at 16?1:00:44>> Yeah. No.1:00:45>> What did you think he was at 16? I think1:00:47at that time we had only beepers. I1:00:50think1:00:50>> beepers1:00:52like yo pages like1:00:54>> pull up to this block an eighth.1:00:56>> Yeah.1:00:57>> It just says eight.1:01:00[laughter]1:01:00>> Yeah.1:01:01>> You just send back 35.1:01:02>> I just remember that like pages that was1:01:04like1:01:05>> hey1:01:06>> that's what I remember. No, no, no. That1:01:07that's I'm lying. There was a like a1:01:09razor. I remember a razor phone.1:01:12>> I remember the little tiny flip phones.1:01:14I remember mo I remember Nokia phones.1:01:17where there was Snake,1:01:18>> but I didn't have any of those.1:01:20>> Yeah.1:01:20>> So, your first one was really 25. What1:01:22was it?1:01:23>> I don't know if it I remember it was1:01:25either sidekick or a Blackberry or both.1:01:27I had either or.1:01:28>> Yeah.1:01:28>> Yeah. I had I think I had both of them.1:01:30>> I shared my first phone with my brother1:01:32until like [laughter]1:01:33maybe eighth or seventh or eighth grade.1:01:35>> Lame.1:01:37>> Um, when you got your first phone? What1:01:39are you laughing at?1:01:40>> I just I It's funny.1:01:42>> What?1:01:43>> I'm thinking about when I got my first1:01:44phone.1:01:44>> Yeah. When you got your first phone, was1:01:46your mind blown?1:01:47>> Blown.1:01:49I was like, "What is this?" I was1:01:51literally like I didn't even want to use1:01:53it [laughter] to be really.1:01:55>> HE'S LIKE, "AH." His aluminum foil hat1:01:57like, "Ah, the government listening.1:01:59They're listening." [laughter]1:02:01Under his bed. His his his dad's trying1:02:03to come on Johnny come on out.1:02:05[laughter]1:02:09>> Jeremy talking about they keep talking1:02:11about THIS BLUE TOOTH. MY TEETH going to1:02:13turn blue. [laughter]1:02:17Jeremy, you know there's a comment where1:02:19people hate you.1:02:20>> Yeah. No, the guy was literally like,1:02:22"Every time Johnny's about to say1:02:24something and it's so serious and Jeremy1:02:26just cuts him off. I agree."1:02:29>> Hey, listen. This is what I say.1:02:31>> No, no, it didn't. But I'll say this.1:02:33[laughter]1:02:33>> The boy was like, "Hello."1:02:34>> No, no, no. I read them. I read them1:02:36every once in a while. This is my1:02:37message to you. Lock eyes with me. I1:02:40will never go away. [laughter]1:02:43Never.1:02:45So, if you don't want me, you could go1:02:47tune into a live stream. I'm never1:02:49there. Or a main stage or anything else.1:02:53But for now, on this podcast, I'm never1:02:56going away.1:02:57>> Wait, [laughter] what the heck? The1:02:58podcast just lost 10,000 subscribers.1:03:00>> Yeah, good.1:03:03[laughter]1:03:04>> Please don't unsubscribe. I'm so sorry.1:03:06I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.1:03:07>> No, I was um1:03:08>> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Just1:03:10>> apologetic. I I was genuinely mind blown1:03:13and I I made a decision. I was like,1:03:16"This is too hard." I felt like my1:03:18parents like you know how when my mom1:03:21she would like when I would give her1:03:23like I remember getting her eachines1:03:25computer from Best Buy, no Circuit City1:03:29at that time.1:03:30>> And she she was like, "Double clicker,1:03:34double clicker. What the hell is a1:03:36double clicker?" And then like she would1:03:38double click the right right and then it1:03:41would like it it you know you have to1:03:43like double click with the left. She1:03:44would like double click the right and1:03:45she just got so mad. She's like this1:03:47machine broken you know she's like1:03:50getting mad legit. I would get mad at1:03:51her be like what are you talking about?1:03:52You don't know that. But then when I got1:03:54the phone I felt like my mom. I was like1:03:56what do you do with this? I don't like1:03:58aren't you why don't you just No, bro.1:04:00You could check your emails. You Why1:04:01would I check my emails? Why would I do1:04:03that? No, but look at the keyboard. It's1:04:05all like this big. I'm like, why would I1:04:07do all of that, bro? Like, where's the1:04:08number at? Like, where do I put in the1:04:10number to like call my homies?1:04:11>> Big old Shrek hands trying to type on1:04:13those tiny keyboards.1:04:14>> And then they had the they were teaching1:04:16me with the Blackberry cuz they had the1:04:17ball like the track. You remember that?1:04:19And I was like, "What the hell is this?"1:04:21Like, "You scroll too hard, it goes too1:04:23far, you scroll too like right." It's1:04:24like, "Dude, I'm sick of this." And I1:04:26legit in my mind, I was like, "Oh,1:04:28that's cool." But I started to feel1:04:30almost depressed low key.1:04:32>> I was like, "Dang, I literally am not1:04:34with the Times." Like I I'm like I went1:04:37and I told people, "Do you guys have1:04:38flip phones?" And they would be like,1:04:40"Yeah." And they were like 20, 30 bucks.1:04:42And I was like, "I remember these were1:04:43like hundreds of dollars. Why are they1:04:45so cheap?" And he's like, "Bro, the guy1:04:47at T-Mobile was literally like,1:04:49>> "Oh, they're [laughter] not using these1:04:51anymore."1:04:53>> So, I'll be real. For the first like1:04:55[laughter]1:04:56maybe two months, I had a flip phone and1:04:59I would do all my stuff on my flip phone1:05:02and then they would send emojis and1:05:04stuff and I wouldn't know what the like1:05:05it just would be all like messed up and1:05:07I'm like [laughter]1:05:09>> you just see the square the blank1:05:10square.1:05:11>> Yeah, it was Yeah, it was like I was it1:05:13was Hebrew. It was a Hebrew letter, but1:05:15I was like [laughter]1:05:16>> olive. No,1:05:21>> that's so [laughter] funny.1:05:22>> Jeremy's dying, bro. That was my trauma1:05:25and you're dying. I was literally so1:05:27sad. I was like, I'm not going to use1:05:29these phones.1:05:30>> So, okay.1:05:31>> My first real phone that was a1:05:33smartphone, believe it or not, was an1:05:34iPhone.1:05:35>> Really?1:05:36>> Yeah. I forgot which one it was.1:05:39>> Okay. After you hating it and having a1:05:40poor experience,1:05:41>> I'll tell you what it was. I'll tell you1:05:43what it was. My mom got my dad an iPhone1:05:47and I'm like, if that freaking old1:05:49crusty man could use it, like I got1:05:52pissed. I was like, I'm going to use it.1:05:54And so I didn't me and him were beefing1:05:55it at that time, obviously. But I was1:05:57just like, man, I'mma try that. And I I1:05:59tried to learn it and and believe it or1:06:01not, it was simple.1:06:01>> iPhone's way simpler.1:06:02>> Yes. And then I was like, whoa, this is1:06:04easy. Like, okay, I can click here. I1:06:06can touch here. Like, oh, wow. There's a1:06:08touch like now it's on the screen,1:06:10>> right? And then I remember like the guy1:06:12was like, what what's the best pointer?1:06:14Your finger. You know what I mean? And I1:06:16was like, oh, true. Oh, yeah. The a you1:06:18know, I was just like touching it and it1:06:20was it was better after that. Then I1:06:23started to get like cocky with it and1:06:24then they were Samsung's were coming out1:06:26and I was like oo you could do more and1:06:28then people were like Samsungs are1:06:30better because like iPhone updates will1:06:32take like like 20 years to get this1:06:35update that Samsung already is like has1:06:37like 10 updates ahead of it you know.1:06:38>> Oh yeah. I remember jailbreaking my1:06:40iPhone.1:06:41>> Yeah.1:06:41>> You have to go through void your1:06:42warranty all this illegal stuff just to1:06:45get like green text like purple text and1:06:47like guys look at this customization1:06:49like stuff1:06:50>> Android has done for years. So then1:06:52after that I I got pissed at like I felt1:06:54like iPhone was just trying to put us in1:06:56in a prison, right? And I didn't1:06:57understand like their whole culture and1:06:59they're creating a world obviously. So I1:07:01was like, man, forget that. And then I1:07:02went straight up Samsung number one.1:07:06>> Number one. And literally I did. I1:07:09always use Galaxies. I always use, you1:07:12know, the Note, the Note 2, all that.1:07:14And then Yeah. Yeah. And then recently I1:07:16because of you guys1:07:17>> we bullied him in. He was every time we1:07:19have to make a new group chat then he's1:07:21like uh guys sorry like every single1:07:24time we want to add somebody we have to1:07:25create a whole new group.1:07:26>> We made other new employees get iPhones.1:07:29>> But that's the most genius of iPhone.1:07:31They could easily they could easily make1:07:33it cross compatible but they just said1:07:34no.1:07:35>> They cornered us. But there is some1:07:36cross compatibility now with it but not1:07:38the same. It's not the same.1:07:40>> No it's not.1:07:40>> I was Galaxy forever too. You literally1:07:43bully people into getting the iPhone.1:07:45It's like a status.1:07:46>> I remember switching over. I was Galaxy1:07:48forever. It was way better. Always1:07:49better. I remember you could split1:07:50screen on the Galaxy, which iPhones1:07:52still can't do. Like there was so much1:07:55that there was swipe to texting on it1:07:56years before iPhone everything, widgets,1:07:58all of it. It was it really was amazing.1:08:00But I switched over eventually because1:08:02um1:08:03>> Snapchat was just worse. Like when you1:08:05would take Snapchat, everyone would see1:08:07like you would know who was had an1:08:09Android. It would be like laggy, buggy.1:08:11And I remember it became like a kind of1:08:13not a it became a pretty big part of my1:08:14life. So I was like that literally is1:08:17what made me finally switch. I bought an1:08:19iPhone for Snapchat. I'm laughing. The1:08:21[laughter] things that make the things1:08:22that make you change is to just one up1:08:25someone. They basically call you a b-1:08:26word.1:08:27>> Whether it's directly [laughter] or1:08:28it's, you know, indirectly.1:08:29>> True. True.1:08:30>> Your dad because your dad. That's so1:08:32funny. That's what got you into1:08:33technology.1:08:34>> And then for you it's like some goofy1:08:36dinky thing that1:08:37>> dude I remember when I was a freshman in1:08:39college. purple text. [laughter]1:08:41>> When I was a freshman in college, I was1:08:42I was they've just started the Snapchat1:08:45campus stories. That was when stories1:08:47like the group stories first existed.1:08:48And I remember I would go viral on there1:08:50like constantly. And I finally was like,1:08:51I got to get the iPhone. Like [laughter]1:08:54you1:08:54>> people know like the guy with Android.1:08:58>> Hey, what would you go viral for?1:08:59>> I would just post random Snapchats. Like1:09:01I would just post things of just1:09:02whatever's happening around campus or1:09:04whatever. Just1:09:04>> just like good stuff.1:09:05>> Just my friends doing stupid. It's all1:09:07on my TikTok now. like you can go find1:09:08it all.1:09:09>> That's so funny.1:09:10>> I got my first 100,000 followers on Tik1:09:12Tok just doing nothing but posting old1:09:14Snapchats. Wow.1:09:14>> I was like, "Wow, I have hundreds of1:09:1610second vertical videos. That's what1:09:18Tik Tok was made for at the time."1:09:20Posted them all and then1:09:22>> Wow.1:09:23>> It's good content.1:09:23>> Wow, dude. That's so the the the cell1:09:26phone story is funny.1:09:28>> Could be because then after that, like,1:09:29you know what's interesting? It's like1:09:30once you learn how to use something, you1:09:33have that knowledge and the frameworks1:09:35for if you have an iPad or whatever it1:09:36is. For example, like once I learned on1:09:39the cameras the the1:09:40>> the I blanked on the name already.1:09:43>> ISO.1:09:44>> Yeah. ISO, f-stop, aperture. It's like1:09:46any camera I look at, I'm like, "Okay, I1:09:48I don't know what the buttons do, but1:09:50I'm like, if I can control those three,1:09:52I can make it look decent or whatever it1:09:53is."1:09:54>> Um,1:09:55>> yeah. So, it's just like basic1:09:56structures. What1:09:57>> do you remember brick break on on1:09:59Blackberry? It was like the game where1:10:01like the ball is bouncing and you have1:10:03to1:10:03>> Oh, he knows he knows No, no, no. He1:10:05knows brick break. He'd have to He'd1:10:06have to break bricks all day.1:10:07>> No. No. I know. Step on bricks.1:10:10[laughter]1:10:11>> Bricks to brick lace. Brick break.1:10:15>> Oh, I'm not familiar with that one.1:10:16[laughter]1:10:18>> This episode has been about a bunch of1:10:19different topics, but it's all kind of1:10:21focused on1:10:23>> focus.1:10:23>> Yeah. Yeah. It's all been focused on1:10:25focus. Focus.1:10:26>> It's all been centered on focus. How do1:10:27you make sure you don't lose focus on1:10:29God when you're constantly being1:10:30blessed?1:10:31Um the only way that you lose focus on1:10:34God is if something becomes more1:10:36important than God. So withever which1:10:39with whatever you're doing, you always1:10:41have to keep God at the sensor. And1:10:45>> yeah.1:10:45>> Well, okay. So wake up to-do list for1:10:48work.1:10:49>> Yes.1:10:50>> And it could be monotonous thing. I got1:10:52to go talk to the lawyer. I got to do1:10:53this meeting. I got to write out this1:10:55marketing plan. How's that really got at1:10:57the center? You know what I'm saying? I1:10:58just have to get through that list.1:11:01>> [laughter]1:11:07>> is like a like the puppy who doesn't1:11:08realize how big they are. The dog1:11:10[laughter]1:11:11the golden retriever that thinks1:11:12>> was felony was like that1:11:13>> bro has no1:11:15>> my king coral huge boom just jump on me1:11:18I'm like throw on my back [laughter]1:11:20>> was felony a girl or a guy1:11:22>> it was a it was a boy1:11:23>> felony would be a like a pretty girl's1:11:25name1:11:26>> yeah it would be1:11:26>> if you named it Imagine if you named1:11:28your daughter felony1:11:30>> no that's a that's the negative kind of1:11:33>> no you just think about it felony don't1:11:35think about it1:11:36>> I think you're thinking of like melan1:11:37>> yeah but just remove the word if it was1:11:39just like felony1:11:40Felony sounds good.1:11:42>> Okay. Are you naming your daughter that?1:11:44>> What was the question? See, I forgot,1:11:46man.1:11:46>> No, cuz you said1:11:48>> So, he's going to work. You're doing1:11:49your you're doing your routines. How do1:11:50you keep God there?1:11:52>> Yeah. How's that keeping God at the1:11:53center? Because at the end of the day,1:11:54I'm just doing a task.1:11:55>> Keeping God at the center is not just1:11:57doing tasks for him, right? If you have1:11:59the mindset of like, oh, like I have to1:12:02do something for God by keeping him at1:12:04the center. No, keeping him at the1:12:05center can be something as simple as I'm1:12:08doing all these tasks, God, but I know1:12:10that I need your grace to then allow me1:12:12to do these tasks. So, yes, I'm going to1:12:14do these things. And again, I'm going to1:12:16plan boldly, but I'm going to surrender1:12:18all of this to you. I'm going to1:12:19surrender daily. And so, God, here you1:12:21go. Yes, I'm going to move forward.1:12:24Thank you again for even allowing me to1:12:25move forward. Thank you again for1:12:27whatever outcome that comes out of it.1:12:29If this messes up, it's either a lesson1:12:31or a blessing. And so, I appreciate1:12:33that. That is something as small as that1:12:35is keeping God at the center because1:12:36most people don't even do that.1:12:38>> They get up and they again very1:12:40monotonous with everything and let me do1:12:41this, let me do that. And then they're1:12:42like, "Yeah, I did that." No, at the end1:12:44you could be like, "Wow, God, you did1:12:46that. You allowed me to do what I did,1:12:47but at the end of the day it was because1:12:49of you."1:12:51>> And that seems e like I think that's1:12:53easier when you're the your question was1:12:55like how do you keep God at the center1:12:56when he's blessing you? And I think it's1:12:58almost easier for me at least to be1:13:00appreciative when I'm being blessed. But1:13:02how do you keep God at the center when1:13:03you're taking L's? Like when when it1:13:05seems like he's not blessing you in a1:13:06sense.1:13:07>> Yeah. By trusting him. So trusting in1:13:10God is not, oh, you it makes sense to1:13:13me. You're blessing me, then I'll trust1:13:15you. It's Lord, I know that this doesn't1:13:17seem good right now, but I know and I1:13:20trust in your goodness cuz you're God.1:13:22You have no evil. So this looks bad to1:13:24me. I might have just lost my job or I1:13:27might have just, you know, got lost this1:13:28relationship. But Lord, you never like1:13:31subtract without multiplying. So I think1:13:34genuinely you don't have to plan1:13:36everything out and see all of the good.1:13:37You just have to know that God is good.1:13:39And if he's if his hand is there and you1:13:42have given it up to him through1:13:43surrender, then you can then trust that1:13:45aspect, right? Like kids who are walking1:13:48across the street with their parents,1:13:49they don't know why they have to hold1:13:51their hand. Like they don't know what1:13:53protection is. They don't know any of1:13:54those things. They just know when I'm1:13:56crossing the road, I have to hold my dad1:13:58and mom's hand. And yes, they will I1:14:00guess I guess keep me safe, but they1:14:02don't know what true safety is. They1:14:04don't know what true danger is even,1:14:06right? Because they don't know any of1:14:07those things. So it's it's the trust1:14:09that their parents will lead them to1:14:12safety in the same way. I don't know.1:14:14There could be, you know, the car of1:14:16depression, the car of loneliness, the1:14:18car of failure, but like as long as I'm1:14:21holding to God's hand and I know for1:14:22sure he's holding on to me, my parent,1:14:25then everything is going to be okay. And1:14:27this is how we're able to then trust God1:14:30with everything, through everything, for1:14:32everything.1:14:33>> Okay. Well, that trusting God does sound1:14:36nice and easy while I'm sitting here in1:14:37my own comfort. But like when something1:14:39horrible happens, let's say I crash my1:14:41car, it's hard for the first thing I1:14:43think to be like, okay, I trust that1:14:44this is okay. It's like, what do you1:14:46have any practical steps? What do you1:14:47personally do?1:14:48>> Yeah. So, I let my emotions process. I1:14:51don't try to fight it. If I get1:14:53frustrated, I acknowledge that and I1:14:56trust that and trust that to God. Lord,1:14:58let's say I crashed my car. Lord, my1:15:00beautiful Audi [laughter] crashed my1:15:03car. I love that. I wub that car so1:15:05much, but God, I know that you allowed1:15:08this to happen, but I am frustrated1:15:11obviously. Now I got to do insurance and1:15:13everything else and I'm, you know, I1:15:14don't have another car, let's say, and1:15:16Lord, please like give me the heart cuz1:15:19if you don't give me the heart, I am1:15:20going to stay frustrated. So allow1:15:22yourself to be frustrated. Allow1:15:23yourself to be human. And then in the1:15:26same way that does huge like it just1:15:29helps so much in that you don't you're1:15:32not dealing with it by yourself anymore.1:15:34You're going to process your emotions1:15:36regardless, right? But imagine adding1:15:38God into the equation of that. It's not1:15:41asking God to take away the pain. It's1:15:43asking God to step into the pain.1:15:45>> And so this is what it comes down to at1:15:47the end of the day. God, please help me.1:15:49don't remove the pain or if you think1:15:51you should remove it, great. But please1:15:53help me with everything and yeah, I'm1:15:55hurt. That's why I need your help.1:15:57Right? People are trying to do this like1:15:58toxic, you know, superch Christian vibe,1:16:01right? Where it's like toxic posit1:16:03positivity on a spiritual sense. Oh,1:16:06even though it got crashed, yeah, I1:16:08broke my leg. Yeah. Thank you, God.1:16:09Like, no, that's not what we're asking1:16:11you guys to do. We're being honest here.1:16:13Just like the kid who asked me for the1:16:14advice at church, I was like, just be1:16:16real with him. Lord, I'm frustrated.1:16:19There's so many times I I literally like1:16:21pray and I'm like, I'm frustrated. I'm1:16:23tired, God. Like, why why do I feel like1:16:25I have to always bend? There's times1:16:27where I'm like, Lord, I feel like I'm a1:16:28babysitter for everybody else, but1:16:30nobody else like babysits me and helps1:16:32me anymore. Pastor Kim is kind of doing1:16:34his own thing. I'm doing my own thing.1:16:36Like, how come people don't understand1:16:37me and I have to bend for everybody1:16:39else? I will literally go to God with1:16:40this and then I'll be frustrated with it1:16:43for a little bit and then I'll talk to1:16:45certain people, you know, fellowship,1:16:47even get in my feelings again and then1:16:49God always like kind of returns it back,1:16:51right? So that's just life.1:16:53>> [clears throat]1:16:54>> Yeah, that's crazy that it goes back1:16:56again to like not necessarily going to1:16:58ask for the pain to go away, but more so1:17:00just to understand why the pain had to1:17:02happen in the first place or it's like,1:17:03you know, you crash your car, but you1:17:05could have gotten like murdered on the1:17:07road in 10 minutes from now if you1:17:08didn't get in that little crash or1:17:09whatever it is.1:17:10>> Yeah.1:17:10>> It's like if I crash my car, I'd be1:17:12like, "Thank you. Thank you."1:17:14>> Yeah. Like one of our elders was1:17:16supposed to be on the flight to uh that1:17:20New York flight that went through the1:17:21the one of the towers. Oh, really?1:17:23>> Yeah. And so he was pissed. He was like1:17:26arguing like, "No, I missed a flight."1:17:28He was a like a like going there for1:17:31like cycling basically, right? And so he1:17:33basically had his career based off of1:17:36this. And they just didn't let him on. I1:17:38think he missed the gate closed like 151:17:40minutes, whatever. He was like begging1:17:42and he was like straight up being a1:17:43Karen and a Ken, right? Like I want to1:17:46talk to your manager. Woo. They didn't1:17:47let him go on there. And so he was1:17:49pissed. He went home. He said he was1:17:50spiraling. He was depressed. He was1:17:52angry at God. He was swearing. He was1:17:53cursing. And then on the news it was1:17:56like boom, you know, and then1:17:58>> that's crazy.1:17:59>> He was then he kind of felt like, whoa,1:18:01okay, like I'm wrong, you know, like1:18:04obviously God protected me. Then1:18:06survivors guilt came, right? And he's1:18:08like,1:18:09>> well, why would God only protect me and1:18:10then not all these people? And then it1:18:12started to kind of get into this thing.1:18:13And then he had to go to God about that.1:18:15Lord, what is it? What exactly am I1:18:17thinking? Why did you preserve me? Etc.,1:18:19etc., etc. And then pastor told him,1:18:21it's not that God preserved you. It's1:18:23that at the end of the day, God works1:18:25and he gives grace to who he gives grace1:18:28to and he gives like, you know,1:18:29blessings to who he blesses. You don't1:18:31have to think about it like that. What1:18:32you should do is honor all of those1:18:34people that were, you know, you were1:18:36supposed to be part of that and you1:18:37should live your life accordingly. And1:18:39honestly, he's been at the church like1:18:41he used to drive from back he's from1:18:43Florida, I believe. And our church would1:18:45be four hours one way and bro would1:18:48drive four hours to go to the church and1:18:50then 4 hours back home. He would send1:18:52eight hours on the road just to hear a1:18:54sermon at a house in Korean. Like he1:18:58couldn't he was married to a Korean girl1:19:00and he couldn't even like understand it.1:19:02But his heart was so thankful after that1:19:04to be like, "Man, I want to serve God."1:19:06And he's one of our elders in our1:19:08church. So he's he's he's old. He's a1:19:10white American dude. Was in the AR was1:19:12in the Air Force, you know, for years1:19:15and, you know, and and and was just like1:19:17like super legalistic in a lot of ways.1:19:20But I love him. Me and him are like1:19:22super close. He's guided me in many1:19:24ways. And I'm just like, "Wow, you have1:19:26a lot of faith." But it took him to be1:19:28like, "Dang, I was supposed to die and1:19:31now I cherish my life 100%." his wife1:19:34passed away from a cancer and um I think1:19:38it was something as simple as a blood1:19:40transfusion or blood infusion whatever1:19:42but they didn't have that back then1:19:44right or or I think she got it from the1:19:46blood transfusion something like that I1:19:48forget the story but he was okay with it1:19:51he was like hey you know what like I I1:19:54understand God like I can be thankful1:19:56and joyous in all things I count1:19:57everything glory to him everything works1:19:59for his glory to those who love him1:20:00Romans 8:28 and man he1:20:03tremendous faith. Like he gained that by1:20:06realizing, dang, I have to go through1:20:07this. I have to process my emotions. I1:20:09had to lose my wife. I had to go through1:20:10all these things to be as faithful as he1:20:12was. And I don't think it's because of1:20:13God. I think it's because we're1:20:15hardened. It's because we're people who1:20:17are very like, I I need answers and, you1:20:20know, and he had to break us down.1:20:22>> If we were just humble from the1:20:23beginning, I don't think God would have1:20:24to humble us.1:20:25>> Sure.1:20:25>> Right. So,1:20:27>> why does it feel like like old white1:20:28guys always have like 20 careers? It's1:20:30like I I went through the military and1:20:32then I had like my three kids and then I1:20:35started a company and then I met the1:20:37president and then now I it's just like1:20:39>> they're all Forest Gump.1:20:40>> Yeah. Literally. I'm just like bro, I'm1:20:43>> Chennai. I like1:20:44>> 35 and I [laughter] can barely hold a1:20:46job. Like how how do you live so many1:20:49lives? It's like my first house for a1:20:51nickel. [laughter]1:20:54>> Their first house for a nickel is crazy.1:20:57I'm always just like so impressed with1:20:59their efficiency.1:21:00>> So true.1:21:01>> Yeah, they were hard. They come from an1:21:02era of just hard work. Our parents do1:21:05too though, low key. They just be1:21:07grinding. My dad My mom same thing. Even1:21:09my dad was was alcoholic. He was1:21:10functional,1:21:11>> bro. Had like three jobs. I was like,1:21:13"Dang, you're working hard, bro." And1:21:15still couldn't pay rent or anything. But1:21:17it was just it was difficult back then.1:21:20>> All that. And you and you can't post1:21:21every day on Blame Johnny Chang.1:21:23[laughter]1:21:24>> Oh,1:21:26>> yeah. It's not like I'm doing a million1:21:28other things like like Johnny Chang live1:21:30and unlearned wisdom and doing Tik Tok1:21:32videos.1:21:33>> Do you know you're invited to my Orlando1:21:36[laughter]1:21:37>> and having people like Jeremy, you know,1:21:39my freaking CEO THROW STUFF AT ME.1:21:43>> I BET YOU WANTED to hit me and it's1:21:45like, oh my gosh, dude. Yeah, it's not1:21:47like I'm spending time doing those1:21:48things.1:21:49>> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. That1:21:50was a joke. That's been1:21:52[snorts and gasps]1:21:52>> I quit.1:21:53>> Yeah. Yeah. Don't hurt me. Don't hurt1:21:54me, man. [laughter] I'm I'm scared.1:21:57>> It's not like I'm fighting with you guys1:21:58on main stage. I'm just kidding. For1:22:00five hours straight.1:22:01>> My other question is with focus also1:22:03comes a level of discipline.1:22:05>> Right. And so, you know, there's a lot1:22:06of people that will probably listen to1:22:08this and be like, you don't need God for1:22:09discipline. You just need to set that1:22:11alarm. You just need to David Gogggins1:22:13yourself out of bed, which for some1:22:15people that can work. It worked for me1:22:16to a certain aspect. Obviously, I burnt1:22:18out.1:22:19>> Yes.1:22:19>> But what would you what would you1:22:21recommend to beginner Christians? And1:22:24it's not even related to growing1:22:25spiritually, but as they're trying to1:22:27move into the new year and better their1:22:28lives, how would you how would you1:22:31recommend someone stay disciplined? Like1:22:34is there a morning routine you would1:22:36follow? Is there a technique? Like how1:22:38do you recommend someone build1:22:39discipline?1:22:40>> Start your day with the word of God.1:22:43We do our daily devotionals for a reason1:22:46that singlehandedly. We're talking to1:22:48Israel today. Bro wakes up 4:30, 4:00.1:22:52All he can do is talk about God. He used1:22:55to worry about job, work, whatever. Bro1:22:57is like doing good. Lived in the church1:23:00and did all that. I'm not telling you1:23:01guys to live in the church, but live as1:23:04if every single day there's something to1:23:07do like for God. Not in a legalistic1:23:10way, but like, okay, God, I woke up. You1:23:14woke me up for something. Cuz if you1:23:16think about yourself, right, here's1:23:18here's what I've learned. Every single1:23:20day you have to lose to yourself.1:23:22>> What I mean by that is Johnny gets up1:23:25and he's like, "Bed bed is amazing. Bed1:23:29doesn't [clears throat] argue with me.1:23:30Bed doesn't call me heretic. Bed is so1:23:33nice.1:23:35Bed is the sleep master 3000. Bed is1:23:38amazing, right? It's a Sleep Number bed.1:23:40Okay. So, it hugs me, right? Cuddles me.1:23:43But [laughter]1:23:45for me to I if I win and I go, "Yeah,1:23:49Johnny wants to lay in bed, so Johnny's1:23:51going to I'm going to let Johnny win and1:23:52do what he wants." Then I would get1:23:55nothing done. Every single day I have to1:23:58lose to myself. I want bed. Nope. Get1:24:01up. I have to fight myself. So step one1:24:05is to start with the daily devotional,1:24:08but step two is to lose to yourself1:24:11every single day. Do the things you1:24:14don't want to do. Obviously, productive1:24:15things. You don't want to do laundry.1:24:18Even if it's a little bit, do a load. If1:24:20you don't want to like I mean some1:24:21people, I'm sorry, they struggle with1:24:23like hygiene, flossing, brushing,1:24:26brushing their teeth, things like that.1:24:28You should do those things. You should1:24:30do that, right? Taking a shower,1:24:32whatever it is. Like, start small,1:24:34right? Start small. And then it's just1:24:37the same with with the Bible. If you1:24:39want to read the Bible multiple times,1:24:41start with one verse. Read one verse. If1:24:44you can get another one in, read two1:24:46verses. If you can get three, read1:24:47three. If you can get four, five, six,1:24:49read until you you're like, uh, I'm1:24:51good. And then stop. Do not force it.1:24:53Number one, right? But more importantly1:24:56is you have to realize I can't do1:24:58everything that I want. Cuz if you want1:25:00to do everything you want, you will end1:25:03up basically living miserable. You will1:25:06be your own boss. You'll be your own1:25:08creator, your own master, and you're1:25:11going to lead your life to destruction.1:25:13That's just how it is at the end of the1:25:14day. When I did whatever I wanted to do,1:25:17I was literally literally1:25:21ended up in prison.1:25:24>> Why that was funny,1:25:25>> but1:25:26>> first of routine.1:25:28>> Yeah. First, when you're saying lose to1:25:29yourself, I was like, this guy stays1:25:31losing. This guy's killing it for some1:25:33reason. [sighs]1:25:33>> No, I'm just kidding.1:25:34>> It's fair. I lose to myself and everyone1:25:36around me every day. So, I'm just1:25:38kidding. Is it biblical to lock in?1:25:40>> Yes, it is. It's biblical to be1:25:42interlocked in interlocked in the1:25:45gospel. Interlocked in Jesus. You have1:25:48to be locked in with God. And what that1:25:50means is again placing him above your1:25:52thoughts, your feelings, your emotions1:25:54every single day. And the way you do1:25:56that is to reflect on every single time1:25:58you reacted emotionally and how did it1:26:01work out. It's a net negative if you're1:26:03being honest with yourself. I can't be1:26:05honest for you guys. I can only explain1:26:07lead you to the water. I can't make you1:26:09drink. But if you're real with yourself,1:26:11every time I I had my emotional1:26:13outburst, it never worked out well,1:26:16right? My emotional 10 seconds. I traded1:26:1810 sec I literally 10 seconds of my life1:26:23costed me 10 years of my life1:26:26essentially.1:26:26>> Jeez.1:26:27>> Right. A 10 sec literally 10 seconds. A1:26:3110-second decision cost 10 years of my1:26:34life. And for what? Because I had an1:26:37emotional outburst. So again, I every1:26:41time I've reacted emotionally, every1:26:43time you guys have reacted emotion, I've1:26:45said things that were disrespectful that1:26:47I could probably never take back. I've1:26:49hurt people um just to kind of protect1:26:52myself. I did so many things that are1:26:55like very horrible that I'm going to1:26:57have to essentially live with for for1:26:59the rest of my life. And I realized it1:27:02it just wasn't good. So, I've learned do1:27:05not trust your emotions. Emotions1:27:07change. They falter. They're weak.1:27:09Sometimes they feel so real, but they're1:27:11not true. And uh there's a lot of1:27:13miscommunications that happen because of1:27:15emotions. Um and at the end of the day,1:27:17if you want to live miserably, then you1:27:19follow your emotions. But if you want to1:27:21live peacefully, you follow the word of1:27:23God. How can you know the word of God if1:27:25you're not going to the word of God at1:27:27least daily? At least once a day.1:27:30>> Dang.1:27:31Dang. That that would If you had to sum1:27:34up in one1:27:36piece of advice of focus and discipline1:27:38is just being be the word daily at some1:27:40amount.1:27:42>> Yes.1:27:43>> Simple enough. All right, that's the end1:27:44of the episode.1:27:44>> We're locked in. We're locked in. Um1:27:46>> Hey, but no, let's just let's just let1:27:48them know what we're building that is1:27:50going to launch in two months. Two1:27:52months.1:27:53>> Three months. Three months because it's1:27:54early January.1:27:55>> Why don't you let them know? You're the1:27:57marketer.1:27:58>> No, I'm just saying in three months1:28:00we're dropping an app that's going to1:28:01help you do that. It's going to hold1:28:03your hand through that every single day.1:28:04There's going to be all kinds of tools1:28:06in it. Your daily devotion, streak1:28:08tracking, so you can really see your1:28:11habit growing,1:28:11>> everything.1:28:12>> Oh, I didn't say that. We didn't say1:28:14that one before. I thought we said that1:28:15one.1:28:15>> Yeah, we did actually.1:28:16>> I think we said that one before.1:28:17>> Yeah, we did already.1:28:18>> Yeah. I'm not going to say the other1:28:19stuff, though.1:28:20>> There's there's other little features in1:28:21there that will just make your your1:28:24studying of the word more enjoyable1:28:26because these are things that Johnny1:28:27wish he had, right? So he's basically1:28:29creating a super app that would make1:28:33spiritual life easier if he were to do1:28:35it all over again. So that's all coming1:28:37too. But the biggest thing too I think1:28:38is very cool is the Gospelbot aspect1:28:41which is every single piece of teaching1:28:43ever. We take all these podcast1:28:46episodes. We take every single live1:28:48stream mainstage every single daily1:28:50devotion. We feed it into this chatbot.1:28:53So if you have immediate questions, if1:28:54Johnny can't answer directly on on live1:28:57or something like that, you can just go1:28:58to this bot and it's and we're1:29:00constantly improving it. So it gives1:29:01very accurate answers. Yeah.1:29:03>> All those things in itself are just1:29:05going to help you walk spiritual life.1:29:07And it's going to be, you know,1:29:09>> choose that every day instead of opening1:29:10up and and gooning or whatever it is you1:29:12[laughter] do.1:29:14Choose that instead of going to Door1:29:16Dash. Choose that instead of Instagram.1:29:18Even if it's just for a small amount of1:29:19time, just make make it a small part of1:29:21your day. That's our goal.1:29:22>> Yeah.1:29:23>> Amen.1:29:24>> And and inside of that app has the1:29:26actual Bible, too.1:29:28>> Should we No, no, no. Because that's a1:29:30cool It does have the Bible, but there's1:29:31other little cool surprises.1:29:33>> Okay. Don't tell the supplies.1:29:34>> No supplies. We want to Hey, if they1:29:37want the surprise, join our weight list.1:29:39>> Yes. Join the wait list cuz we're1:29:41already unveiling. You can only be on1:29:43the wait. [laughter]1:29:44All right. God tells me not to say1:29:45anymore.1:29:47weight list is in the description,1:29:49>> but I'm pretty sure we're dropping sneak1:29:50peeks to the weight listers.1:29:51>> It's only the weightlisters.1:29:53>> Only the weight list. Not even on1:29:54Discord.1:29:54>> They're seeing what the app is going to1:29:56even look like. Literally like the1:29:58frames of what it looks like. Uh should1:30:00I pull up my phone? No. No. No. You got1:30:01to You got to give us your email.1:30:02>> Get on the wait list. Get on the wait1:30:04list.1:30:04>> Yeah. This is going to be gamechanging.1:30:06There's nothing like this out there.1:30:07We've again because1:30:10it it just doesn't exist. We've been1:30:13working [laughter] hard on this app,1:30:16guys. Like, honestly, honest for months.1:30:19How long has it been?1:30:20>> We've been1:30:20>> six months.1:30:22>> We started planning it.1:30:23>> Well, I mean, we've been building parts1:30:25of it, like Gospelbot, obviously.1:30:27>> Um, that took a while,1:30:28>> but I'd say that1:30:31>> it was summer when we really started to1:30:32put this into motion.1:30:33>> Yeah. So, like six months.1:30:35>> I'd say it really kicked off where it's1:30:37like1:30:38>> hard hard work. Probably the last three.1:30:40Mhm. We've been going ham,1:30:43[clears throat] guys.1:30:44>> Now we're like not in the finish line,1:30:46but it's like,1:30:48>> oh, it's really1:30:48>> it's going to come up quick.1:30:49>> We're playing with it now, which is1:30:51cool.1:30:51>> And what's cool is we're going to keep1:30:53having like updates1:30:56>> the more you guys use it.1:30:57>> Yep.1:30:58>> It's it's like we move quick here, guys.1:31:00Like updates constantly, you know, and1:31:03uh we will listen to what you guys say,1:31:06too. So, that's the cool thing.1:31:07>> So true. That's what made that's what1:31:09makes makes or break any app or game is1:31:11how responsive the dev team is to the1:31:13community. Like that's why I believe1:31:15Fortnite became the game it was. There1:31:17was other games that did the same thing,1:31:19but that their dev team was moving so1:31:22fast. So many updates so quickly. So I1:31:25hope to emulate Fortnite. They got sued.1:31:27They were working their developers too1:31:29hard. It was illegal. They had an1:31:30illegally good game. So we're not going1:31:32to go that hard. But1:31:33>> yes, we are. [laughter]1:31:35>> I like this. I like this energy. Me too.1:31:38Me Jeremy.1:31:39>> Yeah.1:31:40>> Ride till the wheels fall off. Bloody.1:31:42>> I'd say like the the thing for me and1:31:45I'm just being honest here is like when1:31:46I wake up in the morning, I try to put1:31:48the Bible as the first thing I pick up1:31:50and then I have to pick it up and then I1:31:51have to write notes into a journal. But1:31:52then I'm like because I I want to just1:31:54>> because the mind the mind body1:31:56connection or the mind memory connection1:31:58with writing is better than just typing1:31:59in my phone. But then I go out through1:32:00my day and I'm like I have none of those1:32:02notes.1:32:03>> Whatever I read I don't have. And then1:32:06and then I got to open up my phone,1:32:07which I don't want to do right away. And1:32:09then I have to read the daily devotion.1:32:10And now I'm in my email and whatever it1:32:12is. So1:32:13>> figgity facts.1:32:14>> So we're just going to make things nice1:32:15and smooth.1:32:17>> All in one place. One-stop shop.1:32:19>> One-stop shop is all we could say.1:32:20>> We can get tickets. No,1:32:23>> we could tell them that. That one's1:32:24already1:32:24>> We're literally going to So it is1:32:26one-stop shop in that even with just the1:32:29live events, you guys will be able to1:32:31scan in, check in, right there. So1:32:34there's no more like, "Hey, I got four1:32:36people coming. How do I?" You just get1:32:38the app, scan in,1:32:41and that's it.1:32:42>> Bible class1:32:44live stream.1:32:45>> Wait, wait, wait. We'll if they join the1:32:47wait list, we'll have rolled out those1:32:49previews.1:32:50>> Okay.1:32:50>> Yeah.1:32:50>> Join the wait list, guys. Text app to1:32:53323-6133577.1:32:56Link in the bio. App to 32361335.1:33:00Sharewin Sharwin Sharwin. That's going1:33:02to help people focus.1:33:03>> Yes.1:33:04>> That's going to be the definition of1:33:05focus.1:33:06>> True. All right. Well,1:33:07>> and so that wraps the episode, guys.1:33:09Thank you again. And I hope that it was1:33:11fruitful for you guys. And remember, God1:33:13is faithful and he wants surrender, but1:33:16he will also help you guys surrender.1:33:17And it's through resources like this,1:33:19our daily devotionals, our Discord, all1:33:22that stuff you can find link in the bio.1:33:24And if you did like this episode, please1:33:26like, comment, share, subscribe. Helps1:33:29us a lot. And with that being said,1:33:31we're going to pray us out. So, let us1:33:33pray and let us bow our heads. Father1:33:36God, thank you again for allowing us1:33:38this unlearned wisdom podcast. Truly,1:33:40Lord, we can see that focus,1:33:42determination,1:33:44credibility, validity, all these things1:33:46come from you, Father God. And we ask1:33:48that you allow us to surrender to you1:33:51and allow the brothers and sisters to be1:33:52honest with you, Lord. That you don't1:33:54want a polished prayer. You don't want,1:33:56you know, things that just make uh other1:33:59people sound good, but you want1:34:00everybody's heart posture through1:34:02surrender. God, allow us to remember1:34:04that we're not in control. That1:34:06everything, God, is in your hands, good,1:34:08bad, all these things, you will1:34:10reconcile back to either a lesson or a1:34:12blessing. And God, for that, we're1:34:14forever thankful. Please allow the1:34:16brothers and sisters to remember that1:34:18sin is only a problem to them, Father,1:34:20to to them, Father God, but sin is not a1:34:22problem to you, Lord. and to allow us1:34:25not to focus on sin because that would1:34:27make it sin consciousness but to focus1:34:29on Jesus which is Christ consciousness.1:34:32Thank you father God. We leave1:34:33everything in your hands and in Jesus1:34:35mighty name we pray. Amen.1:34:37>> Amen. What should they leave a comment1:34:39about?1:34:43>> I can't believe Johnny freaked out like1:34:46that.1:34:47>> Oh, craziest crash out of the year.1:34:50Can't believe Johnny Classic Johnny.1:34:53Yeah, like classic Johnny. Johnny1:34:54Johnny, I can't believe he crashed out1:34:56like that. I like that. No way. I saw BC1:34:59Johnny.1:35:00>> Yeah, someone sneak the word focus in1:35:02there. Can't believe he lost focus.1:35:04Yeah. Yeah.1:35:05>> Anyways, good job. Thanks for listening1:35:07this long.
