0:00Welcome to another episode on the0:02Unlearned Wisdom podcast with yours0:04truly, Johnny aka Juanito Changalito,0:09where each episode is a gospel- centered0:11lesson that you can apply to your life0:13today. And today we're talking about0:16Christmas0:20for Christians. Can you guys can0:23Christians celebrate celebrate celebrate0:26celebrate Christmas? Can they?0:29>> I don't know, Jeremy.0:30>> You tell me. I Well,0:32>> I know Jeremy's answer. Look at his0:33sweater. He's the Grinch. He's gonna be0:35like, "No, no, no, no, no, no."0:37>> So, yep, that's what it is.0:38>> Not Well, just tell them everything that0:41I taught you about it. [laughter]0:43>> This episode will be everything that I0:44taught you.0:45>> It's literally the unlock. It's like I0:47taught him everything. [laughter]0:47>> Yeah. Yeah. Just say0:48>> just sneaking that out there in the0:50beginning.0:50>> They put you on real quick.0:51>> Remember all that stuff I told you last0:53night? Okay, now tell them.0:54>> Yeah, exactly what I was going to say.0:56>> All right, Johnny. I have a big question0:59for you.0:59>> Yes.1:00>> What was Christmas like in prison?1:03>> Horrible.1:04>> Really?1:04>> So, a lot of people wouldn't really1:06celebrate it. Like obviously they would1:07make spread and like I remember they1:10would make like little like reindeer1:12looking like candies. Like they'll get a1:14Cinnabun and put like Reese's pieces as1:16the eyes, pretzels as like the little1:19reindeer, you know, and like they1:20they'll slang them. But it was all just1:22a hustle. But most of the time people1:24wouldn't celebrate those things. Because1:25if you're like a lifer, you're gonna be1:27like, "What?" Oh, yeah. Another my 15th,1:31you know, Christmas behind bars, like my1:3215th birthday. It's like it's horrible.1:35So, yeah, but it you would get more.1:37Okay. What what I liked about it was the1:39food.1:40>> Everyone would spread, right? And and1:42and you know, it would just be super1:44fire and you would get an extra tray. On1:47some yards, you get an extra tray. And1:50[snorts] um I was Muslim at that time.1:52So there was a there was a little hack1:54where I was like, "Oh, I can't eat this1:56food." And you would get like halal1:57food. It would be better.1:59>> Like, "Oh, I was Muslim."2:01>> And they would literally give us like2:02better food. But yeah, there was just Oh2:04my gosh. Just nasty stuff back then,2:06man.2:06>> You were saying how they would give you2:09would make holidays. What's holiday2:10spread versus regular spread?2:12>> So it's just like more like it's more2:15themed than than anything. the the the2:16the regular spread is just like you just2:19throw it all together.2:20>> So what goes in regular bread?2:21>> Regular spread be like tuna, canned2:23tuna. Sometimes you could do like2:25anchovies, dry noodle or wet noodle, up2:27to you. Ramen, basically chips, any kind2:29of Cheetos, pork rind. Um2:31>> hot pickle.2:32>> Hot pickle, obviously. Um Kool-Aid.2:36>> Slim gym. Well, yeah, they have like not2:38beef sticks, but not not all Slim Gyms.2:40Yeah, sometimes some yards have2:41different ones. Then they'd have like2:43the cheese like the the what was it? I2:46forgot what was called. Yeah, cheese2:48whiz. They would have cheese whiz2:50crackers. I mean it was good. I'm not2:52going to lie.2:53>> So that's regular spread. So then what2:55makes it holiday spread?2:56>> Holiday spread is just the theme. So it2:58would be like more red and green.3:01>> Like literally it's just spread but like3:03>> it would be like chili lime chili lime3:05you know like chili lime instead of like3:07you know I mean they would still use the3:08same thing. Like sometimes people would3:10donate. Again, depending on the yard,3:12you'd get like KFC for the food drive.3:14You get like, you know, and and even in3:16the the not commissary, in the chow3:18hall, they would give you like, you3:20know, some ham, some turkey, like here3:22and there, Thanksgiving, stuff like3:24that. But it was not No. Like spread was3:26the way to go. Yeah.3:28>> In the holidays, are people from the3:29outside allowed to give you gifts?3:31>> Uh3:32>> like like No,3:33>> no, no, no.3:34>> So, you can't just get like a apple pie3:35and3:36>> No, no, no, no way. There's a there's a3:39there's a holiday season is such a3:41hustle because people who would do cards3:43for example. So like inmates would send3:46cards to their daughters, their families3:48and like there was a guy who just drew3:50up cards so well like and would make it3:53like he was like Hallmark, you know, you3:55know like the Hallmark cards,3:57>> little like pop-ups, all kinds of stuff.3:59And there there's so many artists like4:01people don't know it's such an untapped4:02thing. That's why a lot of prisoners4:04will leave and then become tattoo4:06artists. They're like amazing. All they4:08do is draw in there and hone in on their4:10skills. That is a hustle to make cards,4:12family cards, you know, uh weddings,4:15like whatever it is. They'll just shoot4:16stamps. They'll trade honey buns for it.4:18They'll trade commissary and then4:20they'll they'll they'll do all that.4:21It's crazy.4:22>> When you saw that and you knew how much4:24time you had behind bars where were you4:26ever like, "Let me come up with a4:27hustle."4:28>> Yeah. But I sucked at drawing.4:30>> Like I sucked at drawing. I wanted a4:32tattoo and stuff. I sucked so bad. He's4:35holding the pencil like this. [laughter]4:38>> He's like a stick figure.4:39>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He's like a smiley.4:41Johnny. Johnny with one N. He's like J O4:44H N Y. They're like wait. [laughter]4:48>> No regrets.4:49>> No rag rats.4:50>> Rags. Yeah.4:52>> What what's other hustles? Like I feel4:55like you could make some good food.4:56>> I mean there Yeah. Obviously people4:58would make spread. They would um a lot5:00of it was drawing. They would fix5:02things. There were people who were5:03fixers. There were jail house lawyers in5:04there where they would spend all usually5:06lifers spend all their time reading5:09every book in the library and be like,5:11"Oh yeah, you can come to my cell and5:13like they would like give them like5:16legal advice."5:18Yeah. How to fight a case, how to like,5:20you know, uh appeal, how to do all this.5:22I'm like, "Dang." So there was that5:24tattooing obviously.5:25>> Um and and yeah, I mean it's just5:28basically like doing all that illegal5:30stuff. All of that stuff is illegal by5:32the What do you pay with though? Because5:33you can't pay with money orary.5:35>> So you5:36>> like food basically.5:37>> Food basically. Yeah. But you could pay5:38for money but you'd have to go outside5:40like your family member would have to5:42wire their the money in their books.5:43Yeah. Or they would be like you know oh5:45my aunt would you know meet with your5:47mom.5:48>> No.5:48>> And be like okay. And then they'd5:50exchange it at a Walmart or what. I'm5:51serious. It happens. That's it happens5:53with cos too. Like that's how they get5:55cell phones in. That's how they get5:56drugs in. It's the same thing. Like okay5:58my mom has x amount of money. I'll I'll6:00shoot you this and you just bring it in.6:02And they would. They get caught up for6:03that, too.6:04>> What's like the most valuable item you6:07can trade in prison?6:08>> You could trade in prison?6:10>> Yeah. Like if you're like commissary6:11like like what is cocoa? It's like a can6:13of a soda. A can of soda worth more than6:15a honey bun?6:16>> No. No. That that's different. So I6:17think the most for us at least was like6:19stamps,6:21>> you know, back then. Before now there's6:22an era of like iPad and like tablets,6:25right? We had were on tablets, Pando and6:27all that, but before that they didn't6:28have that. So it was like letters are6:31gold because that's how you you you6:33reach people. You would also tra trade6:35phone time too. So I would I remember6:37like I would like use my friend is like6:39a Mexican dude you know he's like you6:41have a collect call from Jose and it's6:43[laughter] me. I'm like mom. Hey mom.6:46You know it's like so you can you can do6:48that.6:49>> How do you how do you trade phone time?6:50Do you have like a code or a card?6:51>> No no no no. It's like just when they go6:54Yeah.6:54>> He's so so he'll stand in line and walk6:57up like you can6:58>> in the day room. There's times where you6:59have the phones. Yeah. And you're able7:01to just like basically have have a call.7:03>> Who's tracking the time?7:05>> Um it's it's it's all automated through7:08uh the system. So like the CDCR, they'll7:11they limit your thing. It's like 157:12minutes or whatever it is. And yeah, you7:15could literally like call multiple times7:17too.7:18>> Oh. Oh. Because if you got everyone7:19else's7:20>> Yeah. It'll cut you off. It'll be like7:22this call is being recorded, right? And7:24then like boom, you'll get cut off and7:26then they just call back. Who would you7:27call every day?7:29>> Homies or I'd call like certain people7:31like family members like my mom. I'd7:34call like my cousin. I call my uncle7:36here and there. Um and then you know you7:38get like the cell phones that was the7:40game changer back then that there it was7:42flip phones though,7:44>> right? And there's just ways to like7:45make battery chargers.7:47>> Like it's just crazy, you know? like7:50like7:51we got to like one day like just have7:53like my brother or somebody like you7:55know and and and just start making like7:56a spread off and just show you guys.7:58It's I can show it to you better than I8:00can like explain it to you.8:01>> So when you had the phone calls though8:03and you're calling people8:05>> are you just like yo what's going on in8:06the outside world? Are they updating you8:08on like sports scores or like what's8:10>> I mean it's it's really kind of like8:11pitiful low-key like we just are8:14speaking about anything because like8:17it's just like time you know but then it8:19depends too if you're like a different8:21race you'd be calling shots from there I8:23mean different things but for me it was8:25more of like just man I'm bored let me8:28just hit up this person y8:29>> right and you would never normally talk8:31to like certain people but like you'll8:33see who really supports you outside when8:35versus like you know when you're8:37outside. When you're inside, you'll see8:39who supports you, who kind of blocks8:40your calls, you know? And I was like, I8:43would see there's people who are like8:44super annoying. That was a hustle, too.8:46Well, they'll sit there and they'll8:47they'll act like, "Oh, I don't have soap8:50and I don't have this." And they're just8:51they're just collecting money from8:53multiple people.8:54>> So, like you get it from your aunt and8:55then you get it from your girlfriend and8:56then you get it from your homie. It's8:58like you use the same Saab story9:00>> and then like you kind of you kind of9:01get it, you know, and you just pull up9:03all this money. Then what's like a if9:06you wanted like a good meal like let's9:08say you wanted like fast food how easy9:10is that to do?9:11>> Oh like an actual good meal.9:13>> Yeah. If you want a McDonald's dropped9:14off in your salad like9:16>> it's not easy. Yeah. You have to9:18literally like sneak sneaking things in.9:20Yes. It's easy but it's not like meals9:22is a is a hard thing. Um smaller things9:25obviously is easier. So back then they9:27would have those little like flip9:28phones.9:29>> Yeah. And that was easy to slip, you9:31know, even though they had like9:32Blackberries and all that, it was9:33difficult to get those in because they9:35were like square and bigger.9:36>> Yeah.9:37>> And but like how do you find out who's9:39the crooked CL just through the mind?9:41>> You just know. Yeah. You just know, man.9:43Like you know, just like you can man,9:45we're like master manipulators all day.9:48We're staring at you. We're studying9:49you.9:50>> You're coming in and you're like shined9:52up boots and you're like, "All right,9:53this dude, he's like he's super he's9:56he's super cop. He's a super seal, you9:58know? He's a robocop basically. But then10:00there's ones who are just like they joke10:02with you, they chill with you, and then10:03you could kind of like10:05>> kind of coers them. It just happens.10:08>> That's so crazy.10:09>> It just happens.10:10>> You'd be so coerced.10:11>> I was just about to say this guy be just10:13>> Jeremy, you would be a Robocop. You'd be10:16like, "Hey, [laughter] sit down."10:17>> What was that?10:18>> Pin drops. That's kind of messed up. You10:21guys would call me that.10:22>> I'm a cool guy.10:23>> You would on us.10:24>> Hey, you know what's hilarious? Yeah.10:26You know what's hilarious to think? like10:28uh uh some crooked co the next day you10:31see him in the cell next to you. They10:33[laughter] catch him and you're like,10:34"Oh." You're like, "Yo, where's my10:35McDonald's?" And it's like, "No, I'm10:37here now because I tried."10:39>> Because I tried.10:40>> Yeah. Wait, when they get caught, they10:41get a full-on prison sentence.10:42>> No, not not It depends. Like, I mean,10:45people get caught for like, you know,10:47smuggling things obviously can get, you10:49know, prosecuted, but a lot of times10:51they just lose their job and they get10:54blacklisted, I think. You know, I don't10:56know. I I don't10:57>> never talk to CEO.10:58>> I can't imagine they'd throw a [snorts]10:59CO into the prison that he was a CEO of.11:02That's like a death trap.11:03>> Yeah. Yeah. But um Yeah, they would do11:06that and then like there was girl CEOs11:08who would have relationships with the11:10inmates.11:11>> What?11:12>> Yeah. And then they would get fired and11:13then they would still like stay together11:15and some of them would get11:17>> arrested [snorts] too.11:18>> Damn. So, it just depends, right? It11:20depends on it's it's all like relative11:22and subjective. Yeah.11:23>> The crazy part is what I've seen in like11:25documentaries or TV shows is the drug11:27trade inside of prison.11:28>> Yeah. It's huge, bro. And the market is11:31way like 5x11:33>> like 5x the the the price.11:35>> Oh, the cost.11:36>> Yeah. To get what you Yeah. Cuz it's11:38limited. Super supply and demand.11:40>> But even then it's like you have to have11:42your somebody from the outside meet11:44whoever to get the thing inside.11:45>> Yeah. Basically. I mean it's all11:47different. But11:47>> it's all different. Like what my friend11:49>> honey buns [laughter]11:51guys like walking around like to the11:53other cell11:54>> full two guys in a trench coat11:56>> like get them.11:56>> Yeah. What are you [laughter] doing with11:57all those honey buns?11:59>> But um12:00>> what did you trade for?12:01>> My friend who was in there and you could12:03tell me [snorts] if it's right or wrong.12:04He was saying like people who would just12:05have like medical conditions and would12:06get, you know, even something like12:07Tylenol. It's like that's a hot12:09commodity. Yeah. And all of a sudden12:12>> Yeah. You got to do Tylenol and they'll12:14take anything to feel anything. Yeah.12:16It's12:16>> like imagine being sober for years and12:18years and someone offers you a Tylenol.12:19It's like all right.12:21>> Yeah. Headache gone. You12:23>> you'd kill for one of those. How many12:24honey buns would you trade for that12:25right now? [laughter]12:27>> He has a headache. That was the joke.12:30>> I do have a headache.12:32>> Yeah.12:33>> Yeah.12:33>> It's crazy.12:34>> All right. Well, I feel like we've12:35talked Well,12:36>> yeah. More than enough. Come on, guys.12:38>> Yeah. What's so far from Christmas?12:41>> Christmas prison special. Does that does12:43that make you sad when we have to make12:45you reminisce about prison?12:46>> No, it actually doesn't. It keeps me12:48humble.12:49>> I'm going to bring it up more then.12:51>> That's fine.12:52>> Bring it up more often.12:52>> What you guys don't know is Jeremy every12:54day reminds me of my past.12:57>> That's not true.12:58>> Yeah, you do.12:58>> Every day I say what you did to that13:00guy. [laughter]13:01>> Someone's like like laid out on the13:03streets. Is that what you did to people?13:05>> He makes you practice patience every13:07day.13:07>> 100%.13:09>> Yeah. You hear that? Did you hear the13:10last part? Say the last part.13:12>> You should thank him.13:13>> Thank you, Jer.13:13>> You're welcome. I work so hard. I do the13:16I do the hard [laughter] work here.13:17>> Wait, but so everything we just talked13:19about is just more active during13:21Christmas.13:22>> Oh, that's okay.13:22>> It's okay.13:23>> Like more phones are being sneaking in,13:25more drugs, more spread going on.13:27>> Not necessarily. I think people are more13:29lenient though on Christmas. Like a lot13:31of CEOs are more lenient cuz they're13:33underst staffed, right? And they're13:35getting like13:36>> time and a half. Yeah. So it's basically13:40like or maybe maybe even double time. So13:42yeah, they're they're a lot more13:43lenient. We've had cos just be like on13:45the tier like, "Hey guys, just just13:48chill, man. Just don't make my life13:50harder." Like they literally say that13:51and they just sit there and you're like,13:52"Dang." All right, whatever.13:54>> Do they like a sub?13:55>> The [laughter] Yeah. Substitute.13:56>> Yeah, literally. They're like sub13:57energy.13:58>> Gossipot is officially live. I made an14:00AI chatbot built from everything I've14:02ever taught. Check the15:21link in the description for sign up15:22instructions. Does the pre does the15:24present do anything like play a15:26Christmas movie for you guys or15:27>> so? Again, some yard not every like15:29people can't it's not every single yard15:31is the same.15:32>> Everyone runs a program. A warden just15:34like we've been to other prisons like15:36the wardens are just different. So I15:38can't say like yeah in that one. No that15:40doesn't sound right. That's not well in15:41your yard. Sure. But there's other yards15:43like in Lancaster there was a dog15:45program. I I think they still have it15:47where it's like prison and pet pals.15:49Like they would literally have dogs and15:51they would train them. And so it's15:53really cool.15:54>> You go to Ironwood they don't have that.15:56When we went to Angola, they had dogs,15:57too.15:57>> They had dogs, too, in Angola. So,15:59>> how do you get How do you get picked to16:01have a16:01>> I think you have to be like trustee16:03level, which is like those people who16:05drive around golf carts like very16:06respectful like like you have to kind of16:08qualify16:09>> if do do they let you have a dog uh if16:12you're going to get out? Cuz what if you16:14want to get out and you want to take16:15>> I think so. I think so. You can't take16:16the you can't ever take anything with16:18you. But but you can definitely like if16:20you're about to if you're short to the16:22house as they say 100% because your16:24points are probably lower. So you're16:26just not at like you're not as high of a16:29risk. So in California prison you have16:31point system. So everyone who first gets16:34caught their points are super high. But16:36after a while your points drop. So16:37they'll go from level four to level16:39three to even level two. Right. So I16:41parrolled out of a level two. So16:42>> how many points did you leave with? Um,16:45dang. I gotta look back at that. But I16:47mean, you you you basically they just16:49drop like it's it's a lot and then you16:51kind of16:51>> Bro had the high score [laughter]16:53>> when he when he16:54>> You don't want to have a high score like16:56points. You don't want to have high16:57points. Yeah.16:57>> Dude, that's the saddest thing ever. If16:59you train a dog, you build this17:01relationship with it. You're good. You17:02get out of prison and they don't let you17:04take the dog.17:05>> Yeah, of course not, Jeremy. That's17:06crazy. Crazy.17:08>> The dog has all the secrets.17:10>> When you can't take anything, like you17:11can't take anything. No, you take stuff17:14with you. Like you could take your old17:15pictures, you could take even your CDC17:17card. Like you could take all17:19everything.17:20>> Um your patterns that you drew for17:22tattoo. I mean everything.17:23>> But you'd have to ship it like priority17:25to like somebody out there.17:27>> Yeah. So17:28>> interesting.17:29>> But you can't take like a p like that's17:31government property technically, right?17:33Not even that. It's it's comm if if it's17:35like from people who volunteer. They're17:37bringing their dogs so you can train17:39them. It's not like they're bringing it17:41for you, like specifically for you.17:43>> So, technically though, that person on17:45the outside could be like, "Here's your17:46dog back."17:47>> I mean, if they want to, I'm sure they17:48do. But the dogs are just chill. They're17:51like stray dogs or like have been17:52abandoned, too. Like, some some of them17:54I heard even they they let them stay in17:56like uh certain areas like on on in17:59prison. It's like crazy. I heard there's18:01cats. I've never seen it, but I've heard18:03I've heard there's like stuff like that,18:05too.18:05>> That's such a good like that's like a18:06match made in heaven. If it's like the18:08stray dogs that need homes and prisoners18:10that want to train them and look after18:11them, it's like that should be a bigger18:13thing.18:14>> Yeah, they make a lot. They make great18:16trainers. Like I've seen them where18:18they're like bonded on even on the yard.18:20I'm like, "Dang, these guys are like18:22>> legit like super good trainers." Yeah.18:24>> Like sit, roll over, make them stay,18:26walk off, come back, make other people18:28walk past them and they don't react.18:30Like I'm like, "Dude, you guys are18:32amazing trainers. When they get out,18:33they'll literally just start their own18:34training dog training business." I was18:36even thinking about I was like, man, if18:37I could get down to those points and18:38like get there, I would totally do that,18:41you know? So, I've seen lifers have it18:43though, but again, lifers are there for18:44a long time and their points drop very18:47low at times and then they're able to18:48get those programs.18:50>> I feel like it's therapeutic, too, to18:51have an animal in there.18:52>> 100%.18:53>> Yeah.18:53>> It's like that thing is like going to18:55help you do your time better. There's18:57just no way. Makes your time easier.19:00>> Well, what's the nicest thing you did19:02for somebody this Christmas?19:05The nicest thing I did for somebody this19:07Christmas.19:07>> Yeah. That you should be doing for19:09somebody this Christmas.19:11>> What's the nicest thing you're planning19:12to do this Christmas for somebody?19:15>> You just want to know what I got you for19:17Christmas?19:18>> Nothing. All right. That wasn't my19:20question. All right, Johnny, tell us the19:22real meaning about Christmas. First of19:24all, are Christians allowed to celebrate19:26Christmas?19:27>> Yes, they are.19:30>> Like the gift, the presents and all that19:32stuff.19:32>> Yeah, they can. A lot of people they19:34struggle with, you know, Christmas being19:36paganistic. And yes, it does have19:38actually pagan roots. Um, and you19:41shouldn't celebrate Christmas if it's19:43only for the giftgiving. If it's like19:45not if you're removing Jesus Christ out19:47of it, then no, absolutely not. Right?19:50But that's with everything. You could19:51say that for like Thanksgiving, you19:52could say that for19:54>> everything. You're not Easter. You're19:56not supposed to,19:57>> you know, celebrate without Jesus. I20:00think what I have an issue with is not20:02people celebrating Christmas, but the20:04legalism behind that's being dumped on20:07people who do celebrate it. So,20:09[clears throat]20:10we all fall short. And I feel like, you20:13know, who are we to like judge other20:15people who are in their walk, let's say20:16they're uneducated, right? Um, we're20:19supposed to do everything for the glory20:20of God. And you're supposed to educate20:23people, too. Like, hey, just so you20:25know, it is paganism. You can let people20:26know that, right? But again, you have to20:28have relationship with them. Like people20:30online are like bashing other people.20:32Like, oh, you put up a Christmas tree.20:34Jeremiah 10 says, "If you cut the wood,20:37then the wood is idolatry." Yeah. But20:39they don't even understand the context20:40of that, right? The context is you're20:43taking that wood and you're carving20:45wooden engraved images of idols, of20:48other gods. That was the context of20:49Jeremiah. They had a lot of false20:51prophets back then, fake dreams and all20:53this type of stuff, right? So they're20:55thinking like they take that one verse20:57uh Jeremiah 10:2 to4 and they're like20:59this is what it means don't if that's21:01the case okay if you cut down a tree and21:03you produce something out of it then all21:05your wooden furniture at home you can't21:07have it that's idol worship like21:10everything that you use that's used from21:11a tree your pencils to everything like21:14you can't do it right they won't say21:15that right so it's it's it's always this21:18selective conditional like I was taught21:20something and now I'm perpetuating it21:22even if it makes sense or not and I'm21:24not going to fact check it. I'm going to21:25judge you. Right? So, Christmas does21:28stem from the Bible in a way that um21:31it's talking about the gift that keeps21:33on giving. In Luke, it speaks about it.21:34Jesus Christ is the gift. He was the one21:37that hung on the cross, the tree, and he21:39redeemed it. God is a redeeming God,21:42meaning he'll redeem everything. Like we21:44were sinners, for example, evil, worse21:46than pagans, right? But then he redeemed21:48us to make us righteous. So if you use21:50in the same way [snorts] Christmas to21:53redeem it to be like no it's not21:55paganism again just about you know Santa21:57Claus it's about Jesus Christ it's about22:00celebrating him um you know and and22:02plugging him into it and making him the22:04center of attention. I don't see what22:06the issue is is wrong with that you22:08know. So yeah a lot of people say that22:10if it's if it if Christmas magnifies22:12Christ it's worship. If it doesn't22:14magnify Christ if it replaces Christ22:17then it's idolatry. My uh my22:19>> Amen. Yeah.22:20>> My Korean parents never played the Santa22:23Claus game with me as a kid. So like I22:25grew up in these wide areas and every be22:27like Santa's gonna give me this22:28whatever. And I'm like who's Santa? Like22:31like Yeah. Like all the presents they22:33would just write mom and you know mom or22:35dad. You know what I'm saying?22:36>> You got presents.22:38>> I never even got presents.22:39>> Dang.22:40>> That's why Korea number one.22:42>> Yeah. Number one.22:42>> Really?22:43>> China.22:44>> Wait. So Santa like didn't go to y'all's22:46houses?22:46>> No. We never left out the milk and22:48cookies. Never did any of those. My22:50parents were never down to do any of22:51those kind of like22:52>> traditional like the American holiday22:55type things to make it feel a certain22:57way. They're like they're they were very22:58Christian. They're like Christmas is23:00about Jesus. Those presents are from us.23:02>> I was like my Santa was a crackhead.23:06>> He just knocked on my door. Do you get23:09any crack? [laughter]23:10>> No.23:10>> The only guy sliding through your23:12chimney at night was a crackhead.23:13>> Yes. Saint crackhead. Santaas, you got23:16some crack. [laughter]23:18>> Get out of my house. Wait, so you said23:21your parents put the gifts?23:23>> Yeah, they would.23:23>> What are you saying about [laughter]23:25>> Oh, Santa.23:28>> Oh,23:29>> I thought23:29>> they worked with Santa.23:31>> Okay.23:32>> Yeah. Yeah, you're [laughter] good.23:33You're good. You're good.23:34>> Made me nervous for a second.23:35>> Yeah.23:36>> Okay. It's crazy.23:37>> Yeah. But don't you celebrate Hanukkah?23:40[laughter] No, but my dad would when we23:41were growing up would do like all the23:43Christmas stuff. The little like23:45footprints from the chimney to where the23:47cookies were left out. Halfeaten milk23:49gone.23:50>> Must be nice.23:51>> Yeah. Wow. Must be nice.23:52>> The classic like American dream23:54Christmas growing up.23:55>> Your dad was just running a SC up, a23:57capitalistic scop on you.23:58>> I was trying to stay up every year to24:00catch the guy and my brother and I could24:02never do it. Like 10 p.m. came and I was24:04just too tired. Wake up the next morning24:06every year with gifts. [laughter]24:08>> But so Okay. So, what age [snorts] did24:10you stop believing in it? Like when did24:12you wake up?24:13>> What do you mean?24:14>> What?24:16>> Oh, yeah. Yeah.24:17>> I think I stopped believing when I was24:21like six years old or 5 years old.24:24>> My parents never even gave me a chance24:25to believe. But [laughter]24:26>> dude, my my me and my brother, I told24:28this story before, but me and my brother24:30on Christmas, I was I was five actually,24:32and he was like, we were waiting, did24:35the same thing. We're like sitting there24:36like put out little cookies. Back then24:38it was like the chewy red chip soy24:41cookies.24:41>> Yes, I know the ones on the seasonal24:43ones. And then it had the And then we24:45had the milk, right? We put it out24:46there. And I think our milk was so24:48Asian. We we never had actual milk cuz24:50Asians are lactose. We had soy milk.24:53[laughter] So we put out soy milk and24:55like chewy, right? And um I remember24:58like we were sitting there and I was25:00like trying to stay up and whatever. And25:02I wrote a little letter to Santa and my25:04brother wrote a letter to Santa, too. We25:06get [snorts] up and there's nothing like25:08none of it is, you know, none of the25:10food is eaten or whatever. And I'm I'm25:12pissed, right? Cuz when I get hurt, like25:14I get I get angry, right? I don't like25:16cry. I'm like, I get frustrated. So, I25:18started raging. And I remember my25:19brother like also was devastated. My25:22brother was such a good kid back then.25:24He was like, "I love Santa." Like he was25:27like friends with everyone, you know? I25:28was always like the mean mugging like25:30scheming bad kid.25:31>> Yeah. Like the Grinch.25:32>> Yeah. I was the straight up the Grinch,25:34right? Why am I the Grinch?25:36>> And so he he sees me like getting pissed25:39off and I'm like, I knew he was fake and25:41why does he come to our house and I was25:43like tripping. My brother was just25:45catching strays. I was like, you're25:46stupid too because you believed in him.25:49I was just giving it to him.25:50>> Santa's listening through the chimney.25:51He's like, "This is why I don't come to25:53the hood." [laughter] And he like gets25:54on his way.25:55>> I was like, "Santa doesn't come to the25:56hood basically." And so my [snorts]25:59brother just walks in the room26:00devastated obviously and I'm thinking26:02he's just going in there and I'm just26:03like pissed like swinging at the air26:04like right fighting the air. And then my26:07brother comes back and he obviously like26:10tapes a Chinese newspaper, right?26:12There's a Chinese newspaper that my dad26:13would always read every morning. He like26:15cuts it out, tapes it up, like writes26:17like to Johnny from Santa. It was like26:21SNTA, right? He didn't even spell it26:22right. And he's like, "Here Johnny,26:24there's something." And it's our old26:26Super Nintendo Spider-Man game,26:29>> right? And so I was like, "What?" And26:31then he just was like, "Yeah, Johnny, I26:32don't know. I guess Santa didn't give26:33me, but he got you something." He was26:35like seven years old, six, seven years26:37old. He was like learning, you know, and26:39and and how to have compassion. So that26:41story was always like a very pivotal26:43thing to be like, "Dang, that's how my26:45brother really was." He was always just26:46a nice kid, sweet kid.26:48>> Yeah. I wasn't like that, though.26:50>> That's a good memory to have of26:51Christmas.26:51>> It's almost worth it.26:53>> That's really sweet. But we never26:55celebrated it. My brother too never ever26:57celebrated Christmas.26:58>> Dang.26:59>> You get Christmas presents now though.27:00Like even27:02>> wrong. Got you one last year.27:04>> True. Jeremy doesn't even remember. That27:05was a test and you failed.27:06>> Yeah, that I know what it was. It was27:08the the the luggage.27:10>> I hope you remember what he's like. He's27:11like, "Yeah, you got me one." I don't27:13remember what it was.27:13>> He got me a luggage. Cuz he's like,27:15"Work harder." That's literally what it27:17was. He's like, "You're going to travel27:18more, so here's a luggageh."27:21And I'm like, "I don't want to travel. I27:23don't want to do anything. So what? So27:25what? So what?27:26>> Wow, look at this guy. Get him a nice27:27gift.27:29>> Did I give you a nice gift?27:31>> I think you got me. What did you get me27:33last Christmas?27:34>> I gave you something for the whole year,27:36bro. Forget Christmas. [laughter]27:38>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No. No. But you27:40know why? Because his suitcase was27:41hilarious. It's like tiny.27:43>> Yeah.27:43>> And he would like we'd be taking these27:46long trips and in his suitcase he would27:48have like two pairs of shoes. I'm like,27:49"Why are you bringing two pairs of27:50shoes? Clothes is more important. one27:52one pair of pants, no underwear, one27:55[laughter] sock,27:56>> and he's be like, I think this will27:58work. I'll just I'll just move this I'll28:00just move the sock to either foot28:01throughout the trip. And if I flip it28:03inside out, if I move it from left to28:05right, that's one day, that's two days.28:07Then flip it inside out, then right to28:08left, that's another day.28:09>> He's only half lying cuz we would pull28:11up and you'd be like, "Can we stop at28:13Target real quick?" Like just need28:14shirts. You would need shirts. You don't28:16remember this?28:17>> I don't remember that. But okay,28:19>> we had to pull over for just like black28:20t-shirts one time. Like, did you pack28:22shirts, Johnny?28:23>> Oh, I think I forgot.28:24>> Or you would always Or you'd always show28:26up with no warm clothes.28:28>> I would I would do that.28:30>> I would. I suck. I think everywhere is28:32California.28:33>> Yeah.28:34>> Literally, I'm like that's like Oh,28:35yeah. It's Oh, what the heck? Why is it28:37so cold?28:38>> Same. I make that mistake. [laughter]28:41>> No, you don't. This guy's the opposite28:42of Johnny. He brings like He brings like28:44he's moving to a new city.28:46>> He brings his pillow. A He had such a28:48good He's like, "Bring your pillow." And28:50I was like, "Pillow? What?" And man,28:52that's such a game changer, bro.28:54>> Quickest way to fall asleep in any bed.28:55It turns any bed into your bed pretty28:57much.28:58>> That's funny facts.28:59>> Okay. So, so you're saying, you know,29:01the focus on Christmas should be Jesus.29:04What does that literally mean?29:06>> So, when I wrap, so when I So, what does29:09that literally mean? Meaning, when I go29:11into Christmas or the most the number29:13one thing people think about is, okay,29:15what do I want for Christmas? What am I29:17going to give to somebody? And by giving29:19somebody, I'm participating in this29:20thing where I'm thinking of them.29:22>> Yay. Oh, and it's his Jesus died or29:25Jesus was born. Happy birthday, Jesus.29:27>> Is that is that it? Did I do a good job?29:29>> Yeah. I mean, essentially, you can you29:31can still take in the festivities29:33because Jesus also went to weddings. He29:35went to like banquetss. He sat with29:37sinners. It's okay to sit there and29:39>> have a sinner for giving away gifts.29:40>> No, but like you can sit there and like29:42give gifts, but like also it's to honor29:45God. It's like, man, thank God. So,29:47let's say you're giving gifts, right? If29:49we were to hold the Christmas, I would I29:50would keep it gospel themed. I would be29:52like, "Man, I'm so thankful that we're29:54able to have life and God gave us life29:56to then be able to give the same gifts29:58to people." Cuz if we didn't wake up,29:59why are you smiling?30:02>> Just like [laughter] just keep going.30:04>> Why?30:05>> I don't know.30:05>> Why do you do this?30:07>> Because when you start saying certain30:08things makes me think of funny things.30:10When you said it's oh, it's make it30:12gospel themed. It's like, you know, when30:14you're like a kid and you want like30:15games and then your parents give you30:17socks. I'm imagine Johnny's like, "I30:18gave you Bible verses." Yeah. [laughter]30:21>> Thank you, Johnny. Trying to like30:23appreciate it. Like,30:24>> you better be thankful. That's a banger30:26thing. But yeah, no, but basically like30:29if I was to set it up right before I was30:32rudely and abruptly interrupted by the30:34Grinch. Okay. The Korean Grinch, by the30:36way.30:37>> Grinch. [laughter]30:41>> Grinch. But anyway, [laughter]30:44but um I would literally be like, "Yo,30:47let's be thankful. Like, let's give30:49thanks. Let's do a sheet of gratitude or30:51something and be like, what are we30:52grateful for?" Right? And [snorts]30:53obviously, what did Jesus give us that30:55we could not earn ourselves? Life for30:58example, waking up to even wake up like31:00there are people who didn't wake up31:01today. There people that are not going31:03to wake up tomorrow and they're there31:05going to be people who die on Christmas31:07sadly, right? So, for us to get up like31:09thankful to God for that. So keeping31:11everything gospel centered in that way,31:13that's that's how you glorify God.31:15That's how you glorify Christianity.31:17>> Would you recommend that people use that31:19time to go do like community service or31:21do some kind of action31:22>> if it's if it's gospel- centered?31:25Because you can be a humanitarian, you31:27can go and be and do stuff, but if31:29you're not pointing it back to Jesus,31:31then what's the point of it? Like why is31:33it called Christmas? They did they this31:36Christ is in the in the root word of it.31:38So that's why even people go, "Well,31:39it's Xmas, right? They'll X out Christ,31:41right?" Do you guys remember that?31:43>> Back then I was like, "Why would they I31:45was a kid and I was like in middle31:46school." And I'm like, "Why are they31:47saying Xmas?" And they're like, "Oh,31:50we're trying to be like, you know,31:52neutral and not offend people." Like,31:54but I'm like, but I always known it as31:56Christmas even though I didn't believe31:57in Jesus Christ. Like I knew that this31:59was I thought it was Christ's birthday,32:02you know, Jesus birthday, which is not.32:03But32:04>> what the heck? Why did they make an32:06X-Miss? Do you remember that?32:09>> But I've never known why. I thought it32:10was just a shorter way to spell it.32:12>> Same. I thought it was a shorter way to32:13spell it, but it's right. It's like such32:14a clear covering of Christ.32:17>> Covering it up.32:18>> Yeah. Like just removing of it. It's32:20[snorts] like the one Christmas is32:22lowkey the one like Christian thing that32:24no matter what level of media, school,32:26politics, they can't really get rid of32:28Christmas because it's Christmas. Like32:30in schools, you still have Christmas. On32:32the media, on the news, TV shows, you32:34still have Christmas. even though they32:35want anything to do with God.32:37>> But that was like a clear like [snorts]32:39exing out of Christ on Christmas. Xmus,32:42what the heck?32:43>> Literally, I was never thought of that.32:45>> Tenmiss. I was like trying to like32:46figure it out, right? Like Xenus32:48[laughter]32:50Xmus, huh? But yeah, it was it was clear32:53and I'm like, "Huh?" So again, once32:55people start doing that, then I think32:57it's obviously not only disrespectful,32:59but it's just wrong, right? So33:01>> yeah. So, so for me it was like if as33:04long as you're honoring God through33:06Christ, yeah, sit there and have, you33:09know, your gifts and and share, right?33:11Like the gifts, you know, the gift of33:13the magi and all that. That's all33:14biblical, too. But it can't be the33:17center, right? It can't be like, "Oh,33:18I'm going to shape my I I look all year33:21forward to this one day." Like, every33:23day you should treat it like Christmas33:24cuz literally God gives you a gift every33:26single day and that's the gift of life.33:28>> I'm not going to lie. like because of33:30where Christmas is. It's obviously it's33:32one of like the strongest capitalistic33:34holidays.33:35>> That is pretty much what people look33:37forward to if you're in a relationship33:38or what. I've seen people get in fights33:41>> over the gifts they got or didn't get or33:43even the gifts they got. It's like I've33:45seen literal fights. I've seen fights33:46between friends over like white33:48elephant. I've seen fights over33:49significant others. And so like yeah,33:52why do you think that like33:56how do you have that conversation with33:57your significant other if they're33:59unhappy with the gift you gave them?34:01>> You can't. I mean,34:03>> should you break up with them?34:04>> No, definitely not. But it should be34:05like, hey, this is it's it should be it34:08should always come back to the the34:09heart, right? It's like, hey, like this34:11is why if you guys want to easier life,34:14if you just keep it gospel centered,34:15like what are they going to do? If you34:17keep the theme, there's a common ground,34:19right? you keep the theme of like I'm34:20gonna focus on Jesus and then your34:22significant other focuses on Jesus then34:24what is there to fight about34:26>> but because it's not like that then34:28these little loopholes these little like34:30leakages come out right where it's just34:32like everything gets convoluted and it's34:35like oh you don't love me because you34:37didn't get me this I've been hinting all34:39freaking year and you didn't get it for34:41me cuz you're stupid it's like yeah but34:43for 364 out of the 365 days I've been34:47providing I've been here for you yeah34:48but that doesn't matter you genuinely34:50don't care about me. That's kind of an34:51extreme example, but I've seen that34:53happen. I mentor people and they're34:55like,34:56>> I don't know what it is. Like, I've had34:57this guy's kids. I've done all this and34:59he doesn't like want to give me35:01presents. Like, he's just a sorry, poor35:03giftgiver.35:04>> And I'm like, yeah, but is that really35:06what's breakup worthy? Like, because he35:08doesn't give you gifts? Well, I don't35:10feel like appreciated. So, what they're35:12doing is they're tying their identity to35:14materials then,35:15>> right? And if you do that, that's a big35:17problem. Like I mean you that that's35:19going to ruin any kind of marriage, any35:20kind of like because it just takes that35:22one messed up gift or that one thing35:24where they're tying their identity to35:26and you didn't give it to them and35:27validate them, then it's over basically.35:30>> Yeah, I'm not going to lie. I'm a35:31terrible giftgiver,35:32>> dude. I am the terrible giftgiver. Like35:36I think so well for other people when it35:38comes like reading heart posture and35:39things, but when it comes to gifts, I'm35:40like, I don't know what you want. You35:41want socks. Like I literally suck at it35:45and I forget my own birthday.35:47>> Sorry, James. Like my brother too. Like35:48he doesn't get mad but he's given up on35:51me.35:51>> Like I He always my brother always35:53remembers my birthday and I never35:55remember his birthday.35:56>> No,35:57>> never, dude. It's July 1st and I'm36:00always like, "Fire." He's like, "Johnny,36:02it's that time of month." And I'm like,36:03"Oh, fireworks." [laughter]36:05>> And he's just like, "Oh, it's cool." And36:07I'm like, "Dang, bro. I'm sorry, bro."36:09Like I hate every always my brother36:12remembers birthdays and I just so he36:13remembers my dad's birthday. I don't36:14even know my dad's birthday. Remembers36:16my mom's birthday. I'm like is it the36:17seventh? Is it the sixth? Oh my gosh.36:19>> I'm not I'm not going to lie. It feels36:21pretty good when you get a fire gift36:23from somebody else.36:25>> And also for the birthday things. Well,36:27is it just in the36:28>> I h I haven't really gotten anything36:31fire though.36:34[laughter]36:34>> Sorry.36:39>> [laughter]36:41>> Okay. Okay. Maybe not fire. Thoughtful36:44perhaps. I love getting a really36:45thoughtful gift. [laughter]36:47>> I don't know. Maybe the ease of36:48traveling that you haven't noticed 36436:50days in the last year. [laughter]36:55Hey, but I genuinely like when people36:57give me a really good gift, I'm like,36:58dang. Like that was a really good gift.37:00>> Okay, give me an example.37:03[laughter]37:05>> Right.37:06Look at his face. He's like,37:08>> I'm trying to think of like something37:09that somebody's37:10>> Yeah, but you can't remember cuz I saw a37:11TikTok once and it was like um take take37:14your kids on vacations. Spend your money37:16on vacations, not gifts. Cuz it was37:18like, what did we get you guys last37:19Christmas? And they're like, I don't37:20know, nothing. And they're like, what37:22was your favorite trip this year? And37:23one goes California and the other said37:24Colorado. And they both remember both of37:26those trips and they loved them way37:27more.37:28>> No, you know what? All I want every37:30Christmas I had one gift I wanted37:32>> and it was always a computer game. And37:35generally I would play that computer37:37game for like three. I knew exactly just37:38what I wanted and what would keep me37:40entertained forever. [snorts]37:41>> It was always a computer game and I37:42played for hours and hours. I didn't37:43care if you gave me any other gift. I37:45just wanted the specific computer game.37:46What's so funny?37:48>> Nerd. [laughter]37:49>> Oh, like you didn't play Counter Strike37:51in Starcraft?37:52>> I did. I I didn't play Starcraft. I37:53played Counterstrike.37:54>> Yeah. Okay. Number one,37:55>> Counter-Strike is a shoot the peeper.37:57Starcraft is like pew pew little build37:59little things.38:00>> Strategy, you know, it requires big38:02brains like me. Okay. [laughter]38:03your your IQ you have you you need a38:06certain level of IQ to play it. You have38:08to take an IQ test before they allow you38:09to open an account. So I understand why38:11you get to enjoy Starcraft.38:14>> I was like what is this build [laughter]38:16orc? How come he sounds like me? Work38:19>> that's Warcraft.38:20>> Oh, sorry.38:21>> Starcraft is aliens.38:22>> Well, it's the same thing. Greed is38:25good. [laughter]38:26>> Cancelled. Greed is canled.38:29>> The entire Korean population shuts off38:31[laughter] this podcast. That's their38:32national sport. We're we're so nerdy.38:34Starcraft was the national sport.38:36>> Was it?38:37>> Yeah. Really? It was literally if you go38:39to Korea, there was a I don't know if it38:40exists there, but when I was like, you38:42know,38:42>> PC,38:44>> no, you turn on the TV instead of ESPN,38:46it's Starcraft. I swear to God, all the38:49time, people playing against each other.38:50I was like, this is fire,38:52>> dude.38:53>> That's funny.38:54>> Oh my gosh.38:55>> Did giftgiving during Christmas come38:56from the Bible?38:58>> Um, yes and no. Right. So obviously39:01there was the the three gifts presented39:03by the wise men um and you know there39:06was a frankincense, the myrr and all39:08that. So um they kind of took it from39:10there I would say but it has obviously39:13changed into something completely39:15capitalistic and all that but39:17>> for the most part it was it did stem39:19from from you know giving gifts but39:22again it all pointed to the eternal39:24gift. When you look at Romans 6:23, it's39:26very clear. For the wages of sin is39:27death, but the gift of God is39:30everlasting life. So God gave us a gift.39:32Gift is something you receive. You don't39:34work for. So all gifts are supposed to39:37perpetuate that. It's supposed to be39:39like, hey, this is a reminder like that39:42Jesus did this for us. Just like39:44fasting. Fasting is like Jesus fasted.39:46We're taking that little bit with him39:48because we're not doing 40-day fasts,39:50you know? we're doing like 168 fast and39:53like you know we'll fast for like a39:55couple days right but like it's to39:57almost share in the struggle and to it's39:59it's it's for devotion to him it's for40:02worshiping him it's to remember what he40:04did for us so again it's not something40:06that's like legalistic but40:09[clears throat] people shun people for40:10Christian for Christmas specifically40:12Christians shun other people for40:15celebrating Christmas right but how my40:17take on it and biblically speaking too40:20is You're not holier because you don't40:22celebrate Christmas and you're not40:24unholy because you do,40:26>> right? Like that's what it But people40:28are like, "Nah, bro." Like if you do it,40:31you're like crooked. Okay, then all the40:33other sins, you better keep that same40:34energy, too,40:35>> right? It's like that one day that40:37you're tripping. It's like, no, in your40:38heart, if it's to magnify Christ, why40:41wouldn't you do it? In 1 Corinthians40:4313:10, it speaks about this. Everything40:45you do, magnify Christ. Colossians40:482:16-17,40:50"Do not let anyone judge you in meek and40:52drink in any of the holy days or40:54holidays." You're not judged by the40:56days. You're judged by the posture of40:58your heart, what what you're doing with41:00that day, right? Cuz if you're sitting41:02there and you're only focused on gifts,41:04it doesn't have to be Christmas. It41:06could be a regular day. And if you're41:07materialistic and you're greedy, that's41:09worse than you celebrating a day where41:11you're honoring Christ. You get what I'm41:13saying? So,41:14>> I like that.41:14>> We're hiring, guys. Core of the heart is41:16hiring. But listen carefully.41:18>> We're not just building a company. We're41:19building one of the fastest growing41:21Christian communities in the world. In41:23just a year and a half, this community41:24has grown to over 3 million strong. And41:26we're nowhere near done.41:28>> Our mission is simple but massive. To41:29build the best tools and resources to41:31help anyone in the world get closer to41:33God.41:33>> Our first immediate goal is to get a 10041:35million people into heaven. So when we41:37say we're hiring, understand this. We're41:39not looking for employees. We're looking41:41for missiondriven A players that want to41:43change the world.41:43>> Our criteria is simple. Don't show us41:45what you could do. Show us what you've41:47already mastered. Like, if you want to41:48be the short form editor, show me the41:50millions of views you've gotten on Short41:51Form. If you want to be the podcast41:53producer, show me the shows that you've41:54successfully produced. We've learned the41:56hard way not to hire off potential. We41:58just want to hire off of peer41:59experience. People who have already42:00proven that they can perform at their42:02skill set at the highest level. We have42:04jobs available in many different42:05departments, media and content, live42:08events, and marketing. We also have42:09remote jobs and LA based jobs available.42:12If you're an A player that has mastered42:13their craft and wants to do something42:15that glorifies God, then please head to42:17the link in our description and check42:18out the job board. And lastly, if you're42:20an absolute beast at something and you42:22don't see it on the job board, please42:23reach out. I mean, you know, you might42:25be able to do it for us. It might work42:26out. So, if you're amazing at something,42:28you don't see the perfect job42:29description, just reach out. Tell us42:30what you're good at. Maybe it'll work.42:31>> Genuinely, I can't do this without a42:33team. So, I'm very thankful for anyone42:35who supports the mission. I look forward42:36to hearing from you guys. I saw this42:38clip go viral from the last podcast42:40where you're Brandon asked you, "Hey, do42:42you swear?" And you're like, you were42:44honest. You're like, "Yeah." And then42:45you kind of explained the legalism42:47thing,42:47>> but I don't think people still42:49understand it. I don't think they fully42:51understand like if you break one lie,42:53you break them all, so you might as well42:54keep them all. They're still like, "No,42:56you got to be a certain way, like you42:58got to42:59>> you got [clears throat] to be good. You43:00got to represent Christ."43:01>> Yeah.43:01>> Why why why is that concept so hard for43:04people to understand? Uh because43:06legalism is performative and at the end43:09of the day they have an underlying heart43:10that it looks good. It feels good to me43:14to sit there and like off my own43:16willpower quit lust and you know quit uh43:20drinking, quit cursing. You're now at43:22the center of it and you're receiving43:24glory. As much as they say, "Oh, it's43:26all because of Jesus." They're like43:28white knuckling it, right? Like, "Oh, I43:30Oh, I'm I'm not going to like curse43:32anymore. I'm not going to drink anymore.43:34Oh, like look at me." like I overcame. I43:36overcame. Whereas it's like Jesus has to43:38overcome, right? They also don't43:40understand that there's two types of43:41laws. There's a law of sin and death.43:44There's a law of spirit and life. A lot43:46of people are still under the law of sin43:48and death. Mosaic laws, ten43:49commandments. They think that they can43:51love their neighbor as themselves. They43:53genuinely think that and they don't know43:55that the heart is deceitful. Right? Like43:57I did a test even in my Discord. I was43:59like, "Hey guys, do you guys believe in44:01Jeremiah 17:9 and everything the Bible44:04says about it?" And they're like, "Yeah,44:05the that's the famous scripture that44:07says the heart is deceitful, meaning a44:09liar. Above all things, meaning top44:12liar, desperately wicked, meaning beyond44:14cure. Who can know it?" Means nobody44:16knows this. Nobody knows that their44:18heart is desperately wicked. And nobody44:20thinks like that. No one walks around44:21goes, "I'm evil." But then I tested44:23them. I tested the spirit. I was like,44:26>> "So do you guys believe in that, Jeremy?44:28Do you believe that every single your44:30heart is evil according to the Bible?"44:32Yeah. You believe in the Bible, right?44:33Yes. Okay. So, when you say that you44:36believe, right, I would argue that you44:38just know. I don't think you believe.44:40And I'll explain why. Here's the test.44:41If you believe that every single part of44:43your heart is evil, let's say, um, would44:46you say that then your heart is worse44:48than like a pathological liar? Because44:50if it's deceitful above all things, it44:52means it's the top liar.44:54>> Yes.44:55>> Yes. So, you wouldn't trust a44:56pathological liar.44:58>> You're saying, do you believe it or are44:59you accepting that truth?45:01>> Oh, I accept that truth. Do you actually45:03believe it?45:03>> Do you believe it45:04>> that my heart is more more deceitful45:07than a pathological liar?45:08>> Yeah. Compulsive liar of all time.45:10Nothing out their mouth.45:11>> Yes.45:12>> Yes. Okay. So you wouldn't trust a45:14pathological compulsive liar. Okay. Then45:16why do you trust your feelings?45:19>> When you get mad, why do you why do you45:21trust that? That comes out of your45:22heart.45:22>> I don't trust that. That's the thing.45:24[laughter]45:24>> No, I don't. And that's45:26>> So you don't get mad at all?45:27>> Never. I say I say45:30>> that's a liar right there. I say I say45:32this is a feeling and it will pass. All45:34my thoughts are evil and that's what I45:36put you on to.45:37>> That's what I taught you. Come on, man.45:39You got to remember what I taught you.45:40>> No, but I did that test and people were45:43like mind blown like oh my gosh. Right.45:45So why do you why do you when you feel45:47fear? Why do you trust the fear?45:49>> And they're like what?45:50>> I don't know what fear is, but I45:51understand the point of this. [laughter]45:53>> It's interesting. So you're basically45:55like like we trust our feelings every45:57day and they're it lies to us all the45:58time. But then we're saying we wouldn't46:00trust a a Jeffrey Dmer, a serial kill, a46:02murderer, whatever. But which is but our46:04heart is worse than that.46:06>> And then they'll even fight. But God46:07gave us a new heart. Okay. So what does46:09it mean to in Ezekiel 36:26 that God46:12gave us a new heart? And then they'll be46:14like, well, it's to love Jesus. And no,46:16the new heart is to distrust your old46:17heart.46:18>> Cuz back then, before we preach the46:20gospel, who would teach this distrust46:23your heart? Are you kidding me? Everyone46:24would follow their feelings. But when46:26you meet Jesus and God, you're told to46:28what? Deny yourself. That is the new46:30heart. Oh, I can't trust my heart. It's46:32evil. I mess up. Right? Before we'd be46:35like, no, we don't mess up. Like, we're46:36not evil. Now, it's like, dang, I do. I46:39can't trust it. I don't know myself.46:40That's the new heart that God plants46:42inside of us. Removes a stony heart of46:44self-righteousness and plants the heart46:46of humility to go, man, I might be46:48wrong, right? I might be wrong. So46:50>> in the same way, why I'm saying this,46:52how this all ties back in is people46:55think like, well, I can keep the law,46:57but they don't know that that's a46:58deception. If you break one, you break47:01them all. In their hearts, they know47:03that, but in their mind, they're like,47:05nah, I'm I'm I'll just try my I I'll try47:08better. This whole Christian community47:10has become try harder, do better, and47:12then God will acknowledge that. That's47:14not what the Bible says, though. Nowhere47:16in the Bible can you show me scripture47:17that says God says try hard or do better47:20and I'll forgive you. He says do it if47:22you love me. John 14:15 keep my47:25commandments. Not don't try to keep the47:27commandments. If you love your neighbor,47:29it says love your neighbor as yourself.47:31Doesn't say try to do it. Right? So if47:33I'm trying to do something, it means I'm47:35not doing it. If I say to go, I'm trying47:36to be a doctor.47:38>> You're not a doctor.47:39>> I'm trying to get to Korea right now.47:41I'm in LA. You're not in Korea. I'm47:43trying to keep the commandments. you're47:45not keeping them. Right? So, people47:47don't understand that. They have their47:49own mindset, which is deception, of if I47:51just try harder and do better, that's47:53what you're supposed to do. Like, you47:54can't just sin however you want, not47:56knowing that they sin however they want.47:58>> Right? So, that's a that's a big one,47:59too. Like, I get this thing where people48:01go, "So, Johnny, are you saying you48:03could just sin however you want then?"48:05>> Right? And I'm like, first and foremost,48:07you do sin however you want. Cuz think48:09about it. A person is sitting there and48:11they're saying, "You can't sin however48:12you want." What I hear when they're48:14saying this, correct me if I'm wrong, is48:16I can control my sins because I'm not48:19sinning however I want. The the the lust48:21that comes, I can deny it. The flesh,48:23whatever, whatever. So, what they're48:24saying is that they're sinless,48:25basically. And that's BS. If you say you48:28have no sin, the Bible says you're you48:30make God a liar and the truth is not in48:32you. So, if you don't sin, then why do48:34you repent? You repent because you sin,48:36right? So a person who sits there and48:37goes, I don't sin however I want, they48:40it means that they think even though48:42it's not true that they can control48:43their sin. Now when they're controlling48:45their sin, they're not knowing that if48:47you break one, you break them all.48:48Right? So if they do sin, I always catch48:51them up. I trip them up with this. I go,48:53"Well, you can control your sins." Yes,48:55I can. With the Holy Spirit, I can do48:56it. Okay. So when you sinned, right, you48:58can't blame because free will, you can't49:00blame Satan. You chose to do it. Yeah, I49:02did. Okay. So you sinned willfully. And49:04you know in the Bible it says if you sin49:05willfully there's no sacrifice and they49:07literally deadfish me.49:10[snorts] Oh well well and they start49:12moving the goalpost. No it's not that.49:13It's it's I came into agreement but then49:15I repented and they start doing this.49:17But it's like you're telling everybody49:18to stop sinning49:19>> when you yourself haven't even you don't49:21even understand what sin is and you you49:22haven't stopped sinning. Right? So in49:24the same way this is why people struggle49:26so much with legalism49:28>> because legalism is very shallow.49:31>> It's rules replace Jesus. That's it.49:33Religion replaces relationship. So49:35you'll sit there and you'll be like,49:37"Oh, I'm doing good because I followed49:38these rules. I'm not good because of the49:40blood. I followed these rules. That's49:42why I'm good." Now that's conditional.49:44So your salvation then is not ba is not49:47dependent on the blood of Jesus Christ49:49and you not being able to do anything.49:51It's now dependent on your obedience. So49:53Jesus isn't your savior then. Your49:56obedience is. That's why they say you49:58could lose your salvation because they50:00think that they can fumble it. [snorts]50:03Why does it feel hard to follow Jesus50:05sometimes, right? Like so for example50:07like swear they want to give up50:08swearing. They want to they want to be50:11[clears throat]50:12>> for whatever reasons they they just want50:14to kind of be a better what they define50:17as a better person, right? Whether it's50:18quit smoking, stop swearing, stop50:21cheating, let's pick something more50:22intense, stop looking at porn, stop50:24cheating. And it's just tiresome, but50:26they understand what you're saying.50:28They're like, "Look, I can't do it.50:29Jesus, you do it."50:30>> Today's really hard. Yeah.50:32>> Jesus, you do it. Man, it's still hard.50:33Next day, Jesus, you do it. Still hard.50:36Week later, month later, Jesus, you do50:37it. It's still hard, but I I I believe50:39in it, but I just keep caving to this.50:41>> What do you say to that person?50:42>> Because people like that still think50:44that they're trying to save themselves.50:46>> They're still thinking that they're50:47good. The whole point of the50:49commandments is to reveal sin. It's not50:51to heal sin. And so Jesus tells us, "If50:54you love me, keep my commandments for50:56one specific reason." He's trying to50:58show that there was only one person that50:59could do it, and that was him.51:01>> There's only one person that loves God.51:02That's why in 1 John chapter 4, it51:04speaks about not that you love God, but51:06God loved you and sent his only begotten51:09son for you. Right? So in this same way,51:12the same John that wrote John 3:16, the51:14famous verse that you know, everyone51:16knows, God is showing us that, hey, if51:19you want to meet me through your51:20obedience and your commandments and you51:23keeping the your ability to keep the51:25commandments, you're never going to meet51:26me. So that's why people struggle,51:29right? When I when I learn that early51:31on, oh, it's not that I have to stop51:34stop cursing. I have to realize that I51:36will never stop on my own accord on my51:39own willpower and that's why I need to51:41lean on God more than actually like51:44trying right it's not just sitting there51:46even waiting I can't even wait on God51:49>> being obedient I can't even do that51:52>> then it's something weird happens right51:53I I remember sitting there I remember it51:55was at the Korea town church I was like51:58dang I really feel like I'm nothing and52:00I felt this burden it was like a not52:03conviction uh condemnation but it was52:05conviction. I think for the first time I52:07was like dang I really am broken to the52:10core where I can't do anything. But then52:13a new heart arised out of me. It was52:15like even though I'm like this and I52:17hate myself so much, why the hell would52:21God, Jesus himself die for someone like52:23me? And then compassion, empathy started52:26to flow and love started to flow out of52:28that heart. like, dang, God, even though52:30I struggle this much, and you know,52:32you're literally there watching me, you52:34don't throw me away, you don't kill me,52:36you don't chastise me, you don't hurt52:38me, it's like, you don't even accuse me52:40of anything. You just let me be. Like,52:42you accept me. And then I was able to52:44then accept myself. And then I was like,52:46dang, even when I don't accept myself,52:49God, Jesus has accepted me. And then it52:52was like the heart just wanted to that52:55like with that love, I overcame this the52:57addictions. I overcame the heart of52:59being like, I don't need this anymore. I53:01don't need to do this. I'm a person53:02who's completely loved by God. I was53:04searching for love for my family. I53:06never got that. This is what love53:08actually is. I just didn't know what it53:09was. And so, I had to surrender in that53:11way to be like, man, I can't do it. So,53:13God will wait for you to to literally53:17break all the way down, to come to the53:19end of yourself, to come to the53:20realization that dude, I literally can't53:22do this. And Satan will then also play53:24with that. He'll make you feel like you53:26can do it again. He'll make you sit53:28there every even believing people even53:30today people will be like Satan will53:32make people be like oh but I received53:34grace that one day so like I can do it53:36now oh I got that blessing now I learned53:38the lesson now and then he's like God's53:40like you think so and he'll check us53:41again and then it's like oh and then53:44you're like man that's the process like53:46it's not up and down it's more of just53:48like oh every day the the battle is53:52trying to see yourself in God's eyes53:54versus seeing yourself in your eyes53:56that's the battle battle every single53:57day. It's not that you're sinning. It's53:59not that you're horrible. It's not that54:00you have OCD, whatever. It's that I'm54:03this new creature, but I don't see54:06myself like that. So, every day is an54:08opportunity to see myself as a new54:10creature according to the word of God54:11and throw away my thoughts. That's the54:13battle.54:14>> That's that was well said. I haven't54:16really been able to put it in words, but54:17that's literally it because it's just um54:21because it's also like once you54:22understand the truth, I think a lot of54:24people believe what you say. Yeah.54:26>> And then the application of that step is54:28so hard because yeah, I'd say even for54:31myself, I'm struggling with it now,54:32right? Our business is scaling like54:34crazy.54:35>> And there's parts of me that I feel54:38stressed or overworked and I'm like,54:40this feels like before I knew54:42everything, but I came out of that54:44previously54:46and you know, it was good for a while.54:48And why do I feel this way again? And54:50it's because I'm trying to put so much I54:52I I want so badly for things to happen54:54because I see the positive side of it54:56and I see the potential, but then it's54:58me trying to make that happen. But then55:00I'm like, how do we get here in the55:01first place?55:02>> There was crazy doors and things that55:04happened without we worked hard55:06obviously. So if I'm feeling stressed55:08and I don't feel like I can do the work,55:10why why am I stressing myself self out55:12to do that? I should probably pump the55:14brakes, right? This is me putting this55:16on myself. And that happens55:18>> like clockwork. And it's so strange cuz55:20then I go, "Okay, God, you do it." And55:22like you said, I say, "Okay, God, you do55:24it." The next day, I'm going right back55:25down that list. Okay, this person didn't55:26do this. I got to do this. I got to do55:27this. And I'm like, "Ah,55:29>> like I'm back. Oops. I said a bad word."55:31>> Yeah.55:32>> That's what happens in my head. I say a55:33bad word. I'm like, "Jeremy, you're so55:34stupid. You're doing it again."55:36>> You know what I'm saying? And then that55:37literally happens like 10 times a day.55:39So that battle is the battle is not that55:41I like I I'm like caving into Satan's55:43thoughts or whatever it is. The battle55:45is I I have to constantly remind myself55:48to accept55:50>> the truth55:51>> 100%. And it and Satan is a in the55:54Bible, the way that Satan works is he's55:56called the accuser of the brethren. In55:58in Revelation 12, it says he accuses56:00them day and night. So all day and all56:03night, he's just accusing, right? So56:05like in Jeremy's example, right? Like56:08you're saying like, "Oh, I I keep going56:10down that list and here it goes again."56:12And like you start to kind of condemn56:13yourself a little bit and be like what56:14the heck? But if you notice I'm not56:16saying that to you and God's not saying56:17that to you. It's like self saying that56:19to you, right? And so in this way like56:21that's the battle is to sit there and go56:24I have to make a distinction between56:26trusting Satan's word and his thoughts56:28versus like what God is saying about me.56:31Right? He wants us to go to through56:33those loops because like then we can56:36lose strength in ourselves. Right? The56:38way that Pastor Kim explains is like56:39when you make a violin or you make a56:41cello and you bend wood and all that,56:43right? You have to like squeeze out all56:47the sap and all of like the moisture out56:50of the wood. It has to be like 100% bone56:52dry for it to like like echo the sounds56:56off of it. If there's even like 1%56:58moisture in it, meaning its own57:00strength, its own power, then it won't57:02sound correctly. In the same way57:05[clears throat]57:06if for us to make beautiful harmony in57:08our lives to live peacefully for example57:10right because music is peaceful in this57:12way uh especially with those instruments57:15God has to squeeze every ounce of57:17selfrighteous self-reliance self-power57:21diligence out of us and he does that by57:24the by what we're doing every single day57:26by allowing Satan at times to just kind57:28of like he'll utilize it right57:31everything's a tool for him he he he he57:33redeems So he'll let that happen to us57:35to then be like, "Dang, I I I shouldn't57:38trust myself." And although we don't57:39think it's big strides, those little57:41strides, it's a marathon. Genuinely, you57:44win, you know, like this way.57:46>> Yeah.57:47>> Do you feel like you're bone dry?57:50[snorts]57:50>> No. I think even me 10 years into it,57:53no. There's parts where57:55>> you have no hope. You have no hope.57:57[laughter]57:57>> 10 years in that you57:59>> I'm soaking wet.58:00>> Yeah. You're just a58:01>> No, but but what's beautiful is that58:03we're not where we were. Like I think58:05I'm over my problems 5 years ago that58:08now I have a new set of problems, right?58:10Like it's like your problems, guys, no58:12matter what, because of how God works,58:15saved or not, is not going to be the58:17same problems five years from now,58:20right? Like my problem now is like fame,58:23being recognized. Like I didn't care58:25about that back then. Back then it was58:27just like arguing with with people with58:29the Bible. Now it's like it's on a grand58:32scale, but I'm not getting tied up by58:34that anymore. I'm not like, "Man,58:35Jeremy, I I want to quit because58:37everyone is coming at me." It's like58:39it's more of just like, "Dang, like I58:41don't even care about that." Whereas58:42before, that was my main thing.58:44>> I [snorts] would preach the gospel. I58:46would perfect my like sharpen my sword,58:48perfect it, think of all the questions58:51that they're going to ask and like give58:52them proof in the Bible and they'd still58:54go, "No."58:56>> [laughter]58:57>> And I would be like, like I would flip59:00out, right? But now I'm just like, hey,59:02I mean, if you don't accept it, you59:04don't accept it. It is,59:05>> hey, Aaron, if you don't accept it, you59:06don't accept it.59:07>> Jeremy, why are you catching?59:09>> Well, you had to catch a stray. I'm59:11[laughter] just I'm just kidding. All59:13that prep and you just have to be there59:15in the comments. [laughter]59:18>> Yeah, but you know, so it it's a59:21process. If you guys are thinking that59:23you're not going to struggle in life, I59:25have bad news for you. You're either59:27going to struggle for God or you're59:29going to struggle in the world. That's59:31just a you got to pick your battle and59:33you got to pick it wisely. I think the59:35wisest thing is like if I don't do let's59:37say I quit, right, the pod and I quit59:39everything. I quit core of the heart. I59:41quit being a minister. I'm going to59:43struggle in the streets too. I'm going59:45to struggle to make money. I'm going to59:46struggle to go back to my homies. I'm59:48going to struggle with politicking in59:49the streets. I'm going to struggle with59:50my criminal past. I'm going to struggle59:52with relationships.59:54There's going to be a struggle one way,59:56shape, or form. So, why not struggle and59:59like actually utilize that struggle to1:00:00do good and preach the gospel, right?1:00:03And and you know, even in Christmas to,1:00:06you know, glorify God versus like1:00:08glorifying yourself. We've done that1:00:10already. We've tried that route. At1:00:11least I have. And it didn't work out.1:00:12Like it just it was it was worse. It1:00:14made me worse. I would also add like,1:00:16you know, to say you're just going to1:00:18struggle one way or another. When you do1:00:20struggle with God, it's more more like1:00:22struggling with yourself against God.1:00:23But when you do surrender, there is pe1:00:25there's1:00:26>> I I can't even put it into words what1:00:28the peace is like. It's very strange.1:00:30And it's funny because once you once you1:00:32experience that peace, you do kind of1:00:35like life gets easy and then you kind of1:00:37fade back to yourself and then it's like1:00:39you struggle to get back to that. Yep.1:00:41>> And then you struggle because you want1:00:43that peace and you think by doing1:00:45certain things to get back there, that's1:00:47what's going to get you that peace. But1:00:48it's really you just got to surrender1:00:50again. It's very1:00:51>> it's very hard to like put it in words.1:00:53>> Well, it's biblical. That's why they say1:00:54you have to die to yourself. You have to1:00:56renew your mind daily,1:00:58>> right? So like it's just the process,1:01:00guys. We have to be renewed until we1:01:02die. Like we are renewed spiritually,1:01:04positionally. Yes. But like this flesh1:01:07loves to forget. That's the problem.1:01:09Like I can't even remember certain1:01:11things in prison anymore. Like prison is1:01:14the most traumatic experience that any1:01:16it is literally hell on earth and I1:01:18can't remember like wait what what did I1:01:21like get a write it up for? Like what1:01:22did I what did that nurse tell me1:01:24before? Like I I can't remember it when1:01:26I remember all that was my whole all I1:01:29could remember was that I couldn't1:01:30remember anything outside of the world.1:01:32Now it's like I'm I'm struggling to1:01:33remember like what happened in prison.1:01:35What? Oh yeah, dude. when homie brings1:01:37that up like I do remember that we were1:01:39in that riot we did it's like so many1:01:41things you kind of forget to be honest1:01:44you know1:01:44>> what a blessing1:01:46>> what a blessing1:01:47>> that you forgot all that1:01:48>> yeah I mean1:01:49>> yeah yeah I mean according to Pastor Kim1:01:51though he's like that's not good he's1:01:52like you need to also remember who you1:01:54are1:01:54>> like to remember those things so1:01:56>> which was the followup of what I was1:01:57going to say don't forget those things1:01:59>> yeah he told Pastor Kim that1:02:01>> yeah you [laughter] you didn't let me1:02:02finish you always cut me off but I was1:02:05going to say that next1:02:06>> dude you know You know what's funny is1:02:07you're going to say that and then people1:02:08in the chat are going to be like,1:02:10"That's so right." In his discord and he1:02:12doesn't let me talk. He's always right.1:02:15He's Mr. Right. He's Mr. Right.1:02:17[laughter]1:02:18>> So funny. So funny. And the funniest one1:02:21I read is you blocked me from Discord1:02:23and they're on the [laughter] YouTube.1:02:24It's like It's like the It's like the1:02:26the the crazy X. They're like you block1:02:28them on everything and they find out how1:02:30to like they they're send you a scent on1:02:32Venmo so they can message you one last1:02:34time.1:02:34>> Oh my gosh. Listen guys,1:02:36>> have I done that?1:02:37>> I don't block you. [laughter]1:02:40>> Like that's a pretty specific example.1:02:42>> Yeah, he's he's leaking.1:02:43>> Where'd you get that idea?1:02:44>> Have I [laughter] done that?1:02:45>> I have I have a good story about that.1:02:46But1:02:49>> can we tell them what your Venmo is?1:02:51>> Yeah, I don't care. Send me money.1:02:52>> Do you know what his Venmo is?1:02:54>> I remember he had a gangster one.1:02:57>> Jeremy is Jeremy is an early daddy.1:03:00>> It's daddy.1:03:02>> He [laughter] got shadowbanned on Venmo.1:03:04I got shadowbanned because so many1:03:05people were requesting me money.1:03:07>> Daddy,1:03:07>> you're looking at daddy himself.1:03:09>> I'm daddy right here. But [laughter]1:03:12my friend has a crazy story. You know1:03:13who Bella Porch is? She's like a big1:03:15influencer. Whatever.1:03:17>> The reason how he got to manage her cuz1:03:19she blew up on TikTok and everybody was1:03:21trying to reach out to her to manage1:03:22her, whatever.1:03:23>> He found her real her legal name, found1:03:25her on Venmo, sent her a dollar and1:03:28wrote the message there and that's how1:03:29he got in contact with her.1:03:30>> That is crazy.1:03:32>> Yeah. That's actually smart as heck.1:03:34>> Super smart. He's like a crazy He's like1:03:36a He's got an Aaron brain. He's like one1:03:38of those guys. And I was just like when1:03:39he1:03:39>> was he your boss that1:03:40>> No, no, not my boss. Just just a friend.1:03:42But I was just like he always has like1:03:44weird stories, creative stories like1:03:46that. I'm just like, dude, you're1:03:47>> that's so smart.1:03:48>> You think you think different, man.1:03:50>> Yeah, 100%. But with the Discord, guys,1:03:53I don't ban you guys, okay? Those are1:03:55the mods and people like Jeremy I'm just1:03:57kidding. Jeremy doesn't ban you, but1:03:59like it it happens. Okay, you guys just1:04:01beg and you'll get back in. It's1:04:03purgatory.1:04:04>> Hey, that they're going to see that1:04:06clip. The one guy UTP that was the UT1:04:09video coming out funny. There was a guy1:04:10he came up and he asked Johnny a1:04:12question during the Q&A and then he was1:04:13like, "Johnny, can I ask you a second1:04:14one?" And Johnny's like, "Yeah, go for1:04:16it." He's like,1:04:17>> "So, you know, you banned me in the1:04:19Discord and I was wondering [laughter]1:04:20if I could get let back in. I'm really1:04:22sorry. I, you know, it was," he1:04:23explained. He's like, "I was in a bad1:04:24state of mind and I was arguing you."1:04:26And Johnny was like, "Yeah, you could."1:04:28It was a really heartfelt story and then1:04:30I came back out with the mic. I was1:04:31like, "That was really sweet." But1:04:32you're still banned. [laughter]1:04:35>> No, I'm just kidding. We let him in.1:04:36>> Yeah.1:04:37>> And and and something too, it's like you1:04:38guys got to imagine the Discord, right?1:04:40And what the mods are trying to do.1:04:41We're we're the there's there's 20,0001:04:44people there trying to learn and if1:04:46you're in there being argumentative I1:04:48know1:04:48>> and you can't read a room and you can't1:04:49maybe be like okay let me pull back a1:04:51little bit and talk to the mod on the1:04:53side if I really feel a certain way or1:04:55maybe try to change my tone if I'm1:04:57coming off certainly because it's the1:04:58internet it's hard to read text a lot of1:05:00times you might mean well but you can1:05:02sound off it's happened to me1:05:04>> just pull back a little1:05:06>> for for sure people could even be1:05:08totally valid you're just going about it1:05:09the wrong way and like you're1:05:11distracting everyone else's ability to1:05:13learn1:05:14>> so1:05:15>> it's a it's a public for it's also it's1:05:17also at the end of the day our discord1:05:19our rules unfortunately1:05:20>> by the way everyone join the discord a1:05:22lot of amazing stuff in there main1:05:24stages daily almost almost daily a lot1:05:26of good activity1:05:27>> discord stages1:05:28>> yeah join the discord link in the bio1:05:30look for the link tree and if you it's1:05:32hard to find in the YouTube bio look in1:05:34the Instagram bio and just search for1:05:36Discord1:05:36>> do you guys know how many wise men there1:05:39were1:05:39>> duh Uh1:05:41>> answer three. [laughter]1:05:43>> Three.1:05:43>> Three. Where does it say that in the1:05:45Bible?1:05:45>> Three wise men came to the Bible and1:05:47then they wise my and whatever.1:05:50>> It said they presented three gifts. It1:05:52said the wise men, the wise men.1:05:54>> Oh, so1:05:55>> it doesn't say three.1:05:56>> It doesn't say three.1:05:57>> What? Wait, how many blind mice were1:06:00there?1:06:00>> I don't know. Three blind mice.1:06:02[laughter]1:06:03>> What do you mean? What? [clears throat]1:06:05So people, they miss a lot of things1:06:08when they read the Bible, right? They1:06:11add their thoughts. They'll be That was1:06:13an I mean, I'm not I'm ashamed to say1:06:15it, but that was my argument point. I1:06:17would turn up with that. I'd be like,1:06:19"How many wise men were there, pastor?"1:06:21If I was talking to somebody and they'd1:06:22be like, "Three." And I'd be like,1:06:23"Nope, nope. See, you didn't read the1:06:25Bible. Nope. Nope. Nope. You're1:06:26interpreting with your own thoughts. It1:06:27says in Revelations, if you add to the1:06:29word, curse. If you move from the word,1:06:30curse." Right? And I would like trip on1:06:32him. This guy was a nightmare.1:06:34>> I was bad. I was bad, honestly. And I1:06:36would just make people go like steaming1:06:39out the ears, cartoonish, like red, you1:06:41know, face, but there are It's not three1:06:44wise men. There is an undisclosed1:06:47number, right? There we don't know how1:06:49many. They bore three gifts, yes, but1:06:53there's arguments where there's a group1:06:55of them. There's arguments where there1:06:56was an army of them, where King Herod1:06:59was afraid, right? There was all these1:07:01different things. But biblically1:07:02speaking, there is no number of wise1:07:05men. They just bore three gifts.1:07:07>> Really?1:07:08>> Mind blown.1:07:08>> Yeah. So people, that's why when you1:07:10guys read the Bible, you have to be1:07:12cautious about reading and interpreting1:07:13with your thoughts. Well, there's three1:07:15gifts. There must be three wise men.1:07:18>> That just blew the lid off of like every1:07:20manger scene to man. Everyone needs to1:07:23pack it up. Literally.1:07:24>> Yeah. There's no undisclosed. You can1:07:26Google it. It'll even show you how many1:07:27wise men were there. They'll be like,1:07:29there is no number. Wait, so what were1:07:31the three gifts?1:07:32>> Frankincense, myrrh, and frankincense,1:07:35myrrh, and gold.1:07:37>> No, did the1:07:39>> It was gold. Wow. Frank what?1:07:41Frankincense as a scent.1:07:43>> Yeah, it's a it's a it's incense, right?1:07:45It's basically representative of like So1:07:48each thing represents something and it's1:07:50glorifying God. So gold represents1:07:52glory. Frankincense is like, you know,1:07:55prayer, right? incense when you have the1:07:58the it in Leviticus it talks about like1:08:01how it floats up to God for a sweet1:08:04smelling savor, right? As well as the1:08:06anything smoke basically is going to be1:08:09prayer essentially.1:08:10>> And then um myrrh is it ta it turns1:08:14bitter things sweet.1:08:16>> What is it? It's like a fruit or1:08:18>> it's not a fruit. It's also kind of like1:08:20a like a root.1:08:22>> It's it's something like you you mix,1:08:24right? Do have you heard of this myrrh?1:08:26No.1:08:26>> Why would he know?1:08:27>> That's just a Jewish thing. Like he knew1:08:29the menora.1:08:30>> He knew like the1:08:32>> bitters.1:08:33>> The bitter um1:08:34>> on the sader plate. Whatever that What1:08:36was it again?1:08:37>> I forgot the name of it. Oh my gosh. But1:08:39when you said it starts with1:08:42>> I was like this guy's invited to the to1:08:43the cookout to the1:08:46>> bitter water. You had it before, right?1:08:48>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, my family uses1:08:50horseradish.1:08:51>> Oh, that's hella.1:08:52>> How is that supposed to turn something?1:08:54It's so No, it's but it's not that1:08:56>> that's not the same thing that1:08:58it's it basically turns things sweet.1:09:01Like so Miriam, the name Miriam is1:09:03actually Mary's name, Miriam, right?1:09:06>> And she's basically like um like she's1:09:11going to bring something into this world1:09:12that turns the bitterness of sin into1:09:15sweet redemption.1:09:16>> Right? So it's symbolic, right? And so1:09:19uh again that's myrr Miriam the first1:09:22part of Miriam which is myrrh is is this1:09:26the same myrrh1:09:28>> maybe it is do they do it in seder do1:09:29you know is it the sweet apples the1:09:31cinnamon apples1:09:32>> it's something like that but it's1:09:33basically bitter water it's not coming1:09:35to my head right now because I have a1:09:37freaking headache but it's it's I know1:09:39what it is like it sleeps was asking1:09:41about it remember she's like what did I1:09:42say in Leviticus yeah right1:09:44>> and I was like ah but I it's just yeah1:09:47holy Holy Spirit.1:09:48>> And then what's gold represent?1:09:49>> Gold glory, the glory of God. So when1:09:51you go to heaven, there is gold. And1:09:54it's like the the roads, the throne, you1:09:57know, the cherubams, things like that,1:09:59the the staffs,1:10:01>> um the rings, all that stuff is layered1:10:04in gold. And gold represents glory1:10:06>> because it's solid. It's 100%.1:10:08>> Did you ever hear the song from a the1:10:10song from a very wise man? Not a wise1:10:12man, but a wise man. It's called All1:10:13Gold, Everything.1:10:14>> [laughter]1:10:15>> He was actually detailing the great1:10:16beyond.1:10:17>> Yeah. Who's Who's that?1:10:18>> Trinidad James.1:10:20>> Well, St. Trinidad James.1:10:23>> St. Trinidad James.1:10:25>> St. Trinidad [laughter] James.1:10:28>> I know. I know.1:10:30>> Everything. Wait. So, what other1:10:32misconceptions were I guess of the1:10:33original story of Christmas? I know the1:10:35story of Christmas is the birth of Jesus1:10:37and that's what we celebrate.1:10:38>> Was Jesus actually born on the 25th?1:10:40>> No, he was not born on the 25th.1:10:42>> He was not born really. The Bible never1:10:44gives us a date. Again, people adding1:10:46those things, right?1:10:48>> Never gives us a date. You guys can look1:10:49at it, right? Um, there's two different1:10:51stories, two different theories. I think1:10:54most people accept it as kind of a1:10:58reconciliation thing, right? So,1:11:02everything is super detailed in the1:11:03Bible when it comes to genealogy, but1:11:05why not Jesus Christ?1:11:07>> Yeah, why not?1:11:08>> Right? If you think about it, right?1:11:09Like Abraham lived 800 years and1:11:11whatever died. like Seth lived this and1:11:13died and died. It's like why is it that1:11:15God? Because he's intentional.1:11:17>> He wants us to believe by faith. He1:11:19wants us to show he's showing revelation1:11:22here, right? So in Luke 2:10, it says,1:11:25"Unto us a child is born this day, not1:11:29this date." Right? So he's very specific1:11:32that it was a day that was born.1:11:34>> But he's actually pointing to people1:11:36that Jesus his birth is not the most1:11:39important thing. It's when he's birthed1:11:41in your heart. Which day are is he does1:11:44he enter and is he born in your heart1:11:46basically. Does that make sense?1:11:47>> Yeah.1:11:48>> Where people are like celebrating one1:11:50day and and you know so it's that day1:11:53where you know he's born and then it1:11:56casts out all the darkness. So why did1:11:58these people early church fathers um you1:12:00know people just back then why did they1:12:03choose December? Well what's in1:12:04December? December is cold.1:12:06>> It's dark. So it's symbolic of Jesus was1:12:10born. The light, the warmth is born into1:12:14the darkness and the cold.1:12:16>> Interesting.1:12:16>> Do you understand what I'm saying? So1:12:17they they decided on a day like this.1:12:19It's not no one claims genuinely a Bible1:12:22believing Christian1:12:24>> who's biblical and scholarly will not1:12:26say that that's his birthday. They'll1:12:28never say that. That's just a day they1:12:29celebrate.1:12:31>> So technically we don't know. Was he do1:12:33they know the general season?1:12:36Um, I think you can kind of trace it,1:12:38but even then it's it's it's like you1:12:40got to do like crazy exesus. You got to1:12:42go to like all of the, you know,1:12:44historical stuff.1:12:45>> Find the hay from the manger.1:12:47>> But also the point is that it doesn't1:12:48matter. Right.1:12:49>> Exactly. And and and at that time Romans1:12:53had, you know, a cultural festival, a1:12:56winter festival. So just like people did1:12:59all hallows day to counter paganistic1:13:01things, this was these days were created1:13:04actually to counter paganism. Obviously1:13:07though the the enemy always uses what's1:13:09good for for bad, right? And so they the1:13:12Romans were celebrating things and we're1:13:13like, yo, we can't we got to distinguish1:13:15ourselves from the world. So we're going1:13:17to celebrate something that like flips1:13:19their thing on its head essentially,1:13:21right? So Romans at that time were the1:13:23people who crucified Jesus under the the1:13:24the the calling of you know the Jewish1:13:27but they still did the work the grunt1:13:29work right so that's what and and if you1:13:32look at um uh Ephesians 5:16 everything1:13:36is to redeem and redirect the focus back1:13:38to Christ so when they were having their1:13:40little festivals1:13:42they were like we're going to celebrate1:13:44Christmas on we're going to celebrate1:13:45Christ extra hard on this day to counter1:13:47that what they're doing extra hard on1:13:49their days right1:13:50>> right it's it's kind of like this1:13:51counterbalance, right? So, yeah, for me,1:13:54the problem is not knowing Jesus's1:13:57birthday. It's shaming other people for1:14:00not knowing or even just like1:14:02celebrating it, right? So, some people1:14:04don't know and they're just celebrating1:14:05Christmas. They shouldn't be shamed for1:14:07that, right? Secondly, if they are, you1:14:09know, celebrating it and then they're1:14:12like, "No, that's not his birthday." And1:14:13then people get super offended. It is1:14:15Jesus Christ's birthday. Then they start1:14:17shaming.1:14:18>> This is legalism at its finest. It's1:14:20always like, bro, you got to know1:14:22everything correctly. You got to stick1:14:23to the rules. If you don't stick to the1:14:25rules, then you're less than. That's a1:14:27big problem. So, I I think a lot of1:14:29people struggle with, you know, that1:14:31because they want to know the day of1:14:32Christmas. Not to truth seek, but to1:14:34trap set, right? It's like, I want to1:14:36set a trap to get you, and if you don't,1:14:38like, let me see, do you know, do you1:14:40know Jesus's birthday? Like, how I was1:14:41doing it, you know? Do you know how many1:14:43wise men there was? I didn't I wasn't1:14:45looking to see what the what the fruits1:14:47were and what the gifts were. I was1:14:48looking at like, do you know about God?1:14:50And if you don't, you're disqualified,1:14:52>> right? It's like that's what they do.1:14:53You know, I've been legalistic before,1:14:54so I know. I know the energy.1:14:56>> Takes one to no one.1:14:57>> Wow. So Jesus wasn't a Sagittarius.1:15:01>> Oh my gosh.1:15:02>> Cut the cameras. Cut that. No, I'm just1:15:04kidding. Um, we need to talk outside.1:15:07No, I'm just kidding.1:15:08>> What is a December horoscope?1:15:10>> Doesn't matter.1:15:12>> I just know I'm scorpion.1:15:14>> Are you?1:15:15>> Yeah, I'm a Scorpio.1:15:16>> You're Scorpion?1:15:17>> Yeah. in November. They say that that's1:15:20the most intense sign.1:15:22>> Really?1:15:22>> I don't know. It's all paganistic. It's1:15:24all paganistic. Repent.1:15:26>> Repent. They say that the Pisces is the1:15:29smartest, most intelligent, handsome. I1:15:31don't know what month I'm a Pisces.1:15:32>> Oh, wait. That's my birthday month.1:15:34[laughter]1:15:35>> Good thing we're both Pisces. I agree1:15:37with him.1:15:38>> Wow.1:15:39>> You're right.1:15:40>> Must be true.1:15:41>> Wait. Um, [laughter]1:15:43I was just wondering if this like the1:15:44same thing for Easter, too. Like do they1:15:46know the actual date or is it just they1:15:48pick a Sunday and then1:15:50>> kind of the same thing very very you1:15:52know1:15:52>> the resurrection is not on a specific1:15:54date?1:15:55>> Yes it is. They again third day right1:15:58like1:15:59>> that's what Aeron's asking is1:16:01>> well because I'm like were months even1:16:02like months back then that was there1:16:04January February like when did that all1:16:06start? I don't even know1:16:07>> October.1:16:08>> Well because they certainly were like1:16:10okay it's year one come on guys like1:16:12>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, they were1:16:13>> September1:16:15se1:16:17>> Jul1:16:19remember the1:16:19>> what even was it? Like I don't even1:16:21know.1:16:22>> Yeah,1:16:23>> but I was wondering also why does like1:16:25Christmas and Hanukkah and Quanza and1:16:28all that like fall at the same time like1:16:30at the end of the year? I don't really1:16:32know what Kwanza is.1:16:33>> I think Quanza is isn't Hanukkah Jewish1:16:37and Quanza I forgot what1:16:39>> African1:16:40>> is it?1:16:40>> Yeah. I Yeah,1:16:41>> but I don't know the origins of what1:16:43Kwanza and what they celebrate.1:16:45>> Yeah. Happy Quanza.1:16:46>> It's completely random.1:16:46>> That's what they would say. I I learned1:16:48that from Bad Santa. [laughter]1:16:51>> Do you remember Bad1:16:53movie?1:16:54>> Yeah.1:16:54>> He's like the the the security guard's1:16:57like, "Happy holidays, merry Christmas,1:17:00happy Quanza, happy Hanukkah." And I was1:17:02like, "Huh?"1:17:02>> Yeah. [laughter]1:17:03>> I thought it was just Merry Christmas.1:17:05But yeah, anyway. So, um, yeah, I I I1:17:08know like all of it is just religious1:17:10based.1:17:11>> Yeah, but it's weird that they all fall1:17:13on the same day.1:17:14>> Super random. And I know that1:17:15>> Are they all on the same day?1:17:16>> No, I mean the Hanukkah sometimes falls1:17:18around Christmas going down right now.1:17:21>> I'm not sure to be honest. I know that1:17:23it's completely random that it happened1:17:25to be near Christmas. And I know that1:17:27the gifts like have nothing to do like I1:17:28think like Jewish kids are just like I1:17:30don't listen don't cancel me for this. I1:17:32have no idea. But I think Jewish kids1:17:33are just like jealous of Christmas cuz I1:17:34don't know why you give [laughter] gifts1:17:35what the gifts have to do. There's no re1:17:37I guess there's no relevance on because1:17:39Ellie's Christmas is a birthday.1:17:40Hanukkah was just like a miracle that1:17:42this gas lasted eight nights instead of1:17:44one and like led them home whatever. But1:17:45it's like1:17:46>> where do the gifts come in?1:17:48>> Someone download like added to it.1:17:50>> If [laughter] you if you could add one1:17:52thing to Christmas to make it like1:17:53better than it already is, what would1:17:55you add?1:17:56>> Fireworks.1:17:58>> Everyone should be sending out1:17:59fireworks. [laughter]1:18:01>> Come on. December 25th. Let's start it1:18:03up, guys. True. [laughter]1:18:05>> Fireworks would be good because like1:18:07there's so many things that go involved1:18:08in Christmas. You need lights, you need1:18:10a tree, you need gifts, you need to lay1:18:11on the cookies. You meet up in the1:18:14morning and you have like1:18:15>> Roman candles.1:18:16>> Imagine Santa up there dodging in the1:18:18sky like holy [laughter]1:18:19>> just bombs going off.1:18:21>> Oh, a Santa manhunt.1:18:23>> Santa is knocked down by a firework this1:18:25year. Be like, "Here you go, pagan."1:18:28[laughter]1:18:28>> Shooting him with Roman candles. What1:18:30would you add to make Christmas better1:18:31than it already is? I think Christmas,1:18:33by the way, is the best holiday.1:18:34>> Yeah,1:18:35>> I would add Korean barbecue.1:18:37>> Okay, [laughter] that's what Jews do.1:18:40They get Chinese food on Christmas.1:18:43>> Yeah, they do. Cuz1:18:44>> all the restaurants are still open. It's1:18:46like a tradition.1:18:47>> True.1:18:48>> Yeah. Yeah, cuz they don't care.1:18:49>> They're like, "Come, come, come sit1:18:50down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down."1:18:51>> Yeah. Jews. All Chinese restaurants are1:18:53full of Jews.1:18:54>> Chinese are just like, "How do we make1:18:55money?"1:18:55>> It's the only restaurant still open.1:18:57>> That's figy facts, though. Shout out to1:18:59my people.1:19:00>> That's [laughter] so funny.1:19:02>> For making the Jews happy. I'm just1:19:05kidding.1:19:06>> All right. Well, that's that's basically1:19:07that episode.1:19:08>> That's the end of it.1:19:09>> Yeah.1:19:10>> Oh, what's your guys' favorite Christmas1:19:12movie?1:19:13>> Oh, and then off the back of that1:19:15Christmas song. And actually, I want to1:19:17know in the comments, too. Best1:19:19Christmas movies and best Christmas1:19:20songs. Cuz this one when this comes out,1:19:22Christmas is like in three days.1:19:24>> There's literally only one answer for1:19:26the Christmas movie.1:19:27>> Elf.1:19:28>> No. Well, [laughter] I guess what else?1:19:30>> Which one, Jerome?1:19:30>> Home Alone.1:19:31>> Oh, Figgity Facts. Which one though?1:19:33>> The first one. The OG number one. Home1:19:35Alone.1:19:35>> Was good. I liked Lost in New York.1:19:38>> Ooh.1:19:38>> I like the one where he was lost in New1:19:40York. I don't know what it is. There's a1:19:42vibe to those movies created during1:19:45those times.1:19:46>> Yeah.1:19:46>> Right. Like no one can replicate cuz1:19:48Maui Kokin, no disrespect to the other1:19:50kid who had like the the bow haircut.1:19:52>> Not disrespect to him. Moly Kokin was1:19:54the OG1:19:55>> for sure. But the other kid tried to do1:19:56it and and he's like cute and all that,1:19:58but I'm like, dude, what the heck, man?1:20:00Like, you're not you're not him though.1:20:02You're not him, [laughter] you know? And1:20:04I'm just like, yo, this is But I I1:20:07remember like feeling sad watching those1:20:10movies cuz I was like envious. I was1:20:11like, how come I can't have How come I1:20:13wasn't born Hawai, [laughter]1:20:15>> you know? But yeah, why with like1:20:17completely absent parents? Those parents1:20:19>> setting up booby traps leaving you in1:20:21the airport like1:20:23>> Yeah. How do they forget about board a1:20:24plane without your kid?1:20:25>> Yeah, put an air tag on them. Put them1:20:27on a leash.1:20:29>> Dude, Sleeps, I saw that,1:20:31>> too. What's going on?1:20:32>> She was getting demon struck by1:20:34lightning.1:20:34>> Yeah. What happened?1:20:35>> Her house was like flickering.1:20:37>> Oh my gosh.1:20:38>> Are you good, Sleeps?1:20:39>> Yeah, she's good.1:20:41>> Yeah, but yeah. U Home Alone was the1:20:43best.1:20:44>> Home Alone was not really like Yes, it1:20:46happened during Christmas. Yes, it's a1:20:48Christmas movie. Yes, that's you watch1:20:49it around Christmas. But like just a1:20:51bunch of pranks and stuff.1:20:52>> Okay. What about like what about1:20:55cartoons like Charlie Brown? The Grinch.1:20:59>> Sure. I'm saying Elf was like1:21:01>> Elf was1:21:02>> through and through a Christmas movie.1:21:04Yeah. But it's not the Christmas movie.1:21:06>> The Grinch also. I love that is through1:21:08and through a great Christmas movie.1:21:10>> Yeah.1:21:10>> Love the Grinch.1:21:12>> I like Charlie Brown though.1:21:14>> Yeah. I like Charlie Brown.1:21:15>> Yeah. Never seen1:21:16>> that kid who was in the dirt the dirt1:21:18pile.1:21:19>> Literally looks like him.1:21:20>> No, it does.1:21:21>> It does. Imagine like dirt swirls around1:21:23him.1:21:24>> Smoke.1:21:25>> Charlie. Charlie Brown. Charlie. Yeah.1:21:27>> All right. What's your favorite What's1:21:28your favorite Christmas movie?1:21:29>> I said it. Halloween. No, I'm kidding.1:21:31[laughter]1:21:34>> I literally was going to say that1:21:35accidentally. Home Alone.1:21:37>> You can't take mine. I already took it.1:21:38>> No, but his was launched in New York.1:21:40>> No, you can't just be like, "Oh, the1:21:41second one. Pick another one."1:21:43>> That's fair.1:21:44>> What about that? What about that Arnold1:21:45movie?1:21:47>> Remember?1:21:47>> Oh, it's not the tuma. That one.1:21:49>> Yeah. Yeah. No, he's like I got1:21:50>> kindergarten cop.1:21:51>> No.1:21:51>> What about What about [laughter]1:21:54>> No, I thought the What about Die Hard?1:21:56Are you thinking of Die Hard?1:21:58>> It was like [laughter] that Christmas1:21:59movie.1:22:00>> What?1:22:01>> No. Remember that kid with the action1:22:02figure and then like he's trying to like1:22:04Was that Arnold in that one? He was in1:22:06that one.1:22:06>> You talking about Scuba Steve1:22:07Terminator?1:22:08>> No.1:22:09>> I'll be back.1:22:10>> I'll be back home before Christmas or1:22:11something.1:22:12>> I'll be back home before Christmas.1:22:14Yeah, [laughter]1:22:15I think you're misremembering,1:22:16>> dude. Look it up.1:22:18>> Okay, they'll back you up.1:22:18>> Sounds like a Family Guy episode.1:22:20>> Yeah. Okay.1:22:21>> They always had good specials. What's1:22:23your favorite specials?1:22:24>> I already said it. I can't remember.1:22:26>> Fine. Home Alone New York.1:22:27>> Home Alone New York. As you guys know, in unlearned1:28:04wisdom fashion, we always wrap our1:28:06episode with a prayer. So, let us bow1:28:09our heads and pray. Heavenly Father,1:28:12thank you again for giving us this1:28:14platform, Lord, to be able to shed light1:28:15on what true Christmas means. Lord, it's1:28:18the gift that keeps on giving, but it's1:28:20pointing to the eternal gift, which is1:28:22the gift of life in the light of men,1:28:24Jesus Christ. Lord, thank you also for1:28:26giving us Jesus 2,000 years ago, so that1:28:29we can continuously preach this precious1:28:31gospel and have life and live life1:28:33abundantly. Lord, so many people are1:28:35judging others for for worshiping1:28:39paganism as they say or legalistically,1:28:41Father God. But that's not true, Lord.1:28:44Uh we are not holier Christians because1:28:46we don't celebrate Christmas and we're1:28:48not unholy because we do. Rather, we1:28:51point everything to uh as ministers of1:28:54reconciliation back to you, Lord. We1:28:56reconcile and redeem things back to you,1:28:58Father God. You take the nasty evil1:29:00things in the world and you turn them1:29:02into good. And that's proof of us as1:29:04being dirty, evil sinners, but being1:29:06made righteous, holy, and sanctified.1:29:08That is a true gift, Father God. That is1:29:10your specialty. So, we are forever1:29:12thankful, Lord, that you're able to shed1:29:14light on what true Christmas means. It's1:29:17not Christ's birthday, but it's the day1:29:19that Christ was born in our hearts as1:29:21well. And we thank you for that, Lord,1:29:23that if you didn't send Jesus Christ, we1:29:25genuinely have no festivals, no days to1:29:28be able to even uh practice and even1:29:31even partake in. So we thank you Lord1:29:33for everything and we leave everything1:29:34in your hands Lord and in Jesus name we1:29:36pray. Amen.1:29:38>> Amen.1:29:40>> See you guys next year.
