But then y'all sent me one0:15of these tickets from one of your AI red0:17light cameras you have deemed as0:18necessary infrastructure in your city.0:21Thing about this is is I was in0:22Seminole, Alabama at the time I0:24allegedly ran this red light downtown.0:26How can I be in two places at once, you0:28ask? Don't worry. I asked myself that,0:30too. Outside of Scotty beaming up 30 mi0:33in an instant, the only logical0:35conclusion is I wasn't there. These0:37things have been deemed unconstitutional0:39for this for this reason, because the0:41enforcement action of 316.00830:44unduly shifts the burden of proof to the0:46vehicle owner, me, to prove my innocence0:48rather than the state having to prove my0:50guilt. Currently, I'm guilty by default.0:52I've been convicted by a computer0:54program. Usually, this whole mess of who0:56can committed the infraction is settled0:58by a police officer pulling somebody1:00over and actually witnessing them in the1:01driver seat. The AI camera doesn't do1:04any driver verification whatsoever. To1:07get your constitutionally mandated due1:08process, you have to jump through hoops1:10put up by automated enforcement1:12division, a private company in Orlando1:14that's owned by another corporation1:16called Novela Global, which is owned by1:18a Chilean-Swedish millionaire named1:20Carlos Hofstetter. So, not only does1:22this process flow through a private1:24company, our DMV records and personal1:26registration information are accessible1:28by a foreign actor. And but anyway, AED1:31sends you this paper, and if you want to1:33fight this thing because you are1:34wrongfully accused, me again, you can't1:36just request a hearing through PPD or1:38the courthouse. Remember, Carlos is1:40involved, so if you have to go through1:42his company, his website, print off his1:44paper, fill it out with enough1:45information to take out a home loan,1:47have it notarized, mail it to the1:48foreign actor, Carlos in Orlando, and1:51then wait for something for someone to1:52tell you about a hearing. This is undue1:55burden even to begin to try to get some1:57kind of due process. Paying is super1:59easy though, go figure. And about that,2:02you can't pay cash. PPD doesn't accept2:05it, neither does Carlos. According to 312:07USC 5103, all US currency and coins must2:11be accepted for all government2:12obligations, fines, fees, taxes, and2:15due. So, not only does this whole thing2:17violate constitutional due process, it2:20violates federal law by not accepting US2:22currency to satisfy a government action.2:25Whoever thought this was a good idea is2:26a self-loathing, America-hating,2:29bureaucratic hobgoblin whose pockets2:31probably got stacked with Carlos bucks.2:33You got my attention though.
