0:00did you know that every four years the0:01American Society of civil engineers0:03releases an infrastructure report card0:05and that in 2017 the average grade for0:07all us infrastructure so every Road0:09Bridge Port and so on was0:13D+ but things got better in 2021 and in0:16fact that year the grade climbed to the0:18highest it's been in 20 years C minus at0:21the release of the 2021 report card the0:23executive director of the asce said we0:26have not made the Investments to0:27maintain infrastructure that in some0:29cases was built more than 50 years ago0:31he's right what's worse is that we keep0:34building more with no game plan for the0:36maintenance of any of the new stuff much0:38less the stuff that's receiving D's and0:40Fs and in some cases is literally0:42crumbling before our eyes if we can't0:45afford to maintain what we've already0:47built why do we keep building new things
