That's all I'll say.1:33If you want the dates, send afters to1:36323-613 3577 and we'll send you the1:38details, but we'll talk about this more1:40later. Okay, Johnny, back to you.1:42>> Yes. So, um,1:45dang, that that that got me. Uh,1:48>> got you all excited.1:49>> Yeah.1:52Oh, and the app is out.1:53>> Yeah, I was about to say1:53>> beta testers, you're beta testing it.1:55It's open to the beta testers.1:59>> How do we get on the list?2:00>> In the description.2:01>> Hey. Okay.2:02>> So many good things are happening.2:05>> So exciting. So exciting. I just get so2:08excited because it's like all the work2:09we put in over the years is like2:11>> Yeah.2:11>> Yeah. Yeah.2:13>> When thinking about this episode, I was2:14like, "All right, what should we talk2:16about?" Aaron had kind of spoke, you2:18know, gave us a little list that he2:20always kind of goes through. Bad habits2:22is one of those things that I think all2:24of us can resonate with. I don't think I2:27don't think there's anyone that's immune2:29to like bad habits. I think even the2:32top, you know, I don't know, billionaire2:34super locked in person probably would be2:36like I could do a little bit better,2:38right? So, uh, for me personally, I2:41started to realize that I had a lot of2:42bad habits when I ended up locked up. So2:45in prison, I was like, man, there's2:47certain things that I do where I would2:49like feel some type of way towards like2:51the enemies and be like, cuz the way2:54that prison is, guys, especially in2:56California, it's completely different2:58than the streets. The streets are gang3:00banging. It's my team versus your team3:02and versus pretty much everybody else.3:04When you go to prison, however, you3:06literally have to click up. It doesn't3:08matter if this dude shot at your brother3:10or, you know, did some crazy stuff. like3:12you literally have to be like drop all3:14of the street beef and the politics and3:16then start to program as a race versus3:19like a gang, right? And so for me, I3:21would3:23go out on the yard and I would like not3:25trip, but I would be like aggressive3:27with people. I would I would trip, but3:28not in a way that would get me in3:30trouble. I'd throw little jabs and I'd3:31be like, "Oh yeah, that's how y'all3:33are." And you know, I'll say little3:34things like that. And I remember like3:37going back to my cell and I'd be like,3:38"Man, why am I like this?" It's like I3:39have this bad bad habit of like3:41gossiping and also hating but like sneak3:45dissing but not like fully, right?3:47>> And so same thing I would think about my3:50life and I'd like kind of reminisce a3:52little bit and reflect while I'm in the3:54because all you have is time in prison.3:55So you're like thinking so many things3:58and I think it's like straight up3:59torture. But I would sit there and4:00torture myself like why did I do that?4:02I'd run back scenarios. I'd think about4:05h how I would have done this thing or4:07handled this situation much differently.4:09And so for me, I was always like4:12thinking what the heck is wrong with me?4:14Why why am I struggling? And then I4:16realized something uh just looking back4:19even thinking about this. It took me you4:22know 10 years to get out of the pen but4:24to remember and and kind of discover4:26this. Basically, I realized all my bad4:30habits, why they kept like repeating4:33themselves was because I was focusing on4:38what I was doing versus who I was. That4:42makes sense, right? I was focusing on4:43the outward, the behavior part, but not4:46what was inside. So, that's why I kept4:48like tripping up when even I promised4:50myself, all right, I'm not going to hate4:52on people. That's some sucker stuff.4:53Like, that's what you know, females do.4:55I'm not going to do that. And then I'd4:57find myself doing it again because I4:58wasn't fixing something internally. I5:00was just trying to fix like what was5:02external and like the how do I say like5:05what I was doing versus what I was5:07actually what I actually was5:09>> like your deeper identity.5:10>> Yeah. So I was having issues with the5:12identity, right? Where it's like dang,5:14I'm just a hater and I and I didn't want5:16to acknowledge that. So I tried to5:18change the behavior which then wouldn't5:20fix my identity. And it's like if you5:22identify, for example, as a gang member,5:25then how are you going to act like a5:26gang member? If I identify as a a5:29firefighter, how am I going to act like5:31a firefighter? If I identify as, you5:34know, LGBTQ, how am I going to act like5:37Jeremy?5:39>> Jinx.5:44>> Anyways, continue on.5:47>> Sorry, you caught a stray, but um you5:50caught two strays. Technically.5:52>> Yeah. No, I know. One day I just got all5:54these comments and they were like, "Yo,5:56Johnny roasted you." I was like, "What?5:58Like where?" And they're like, "Oh,6:00dude, listen to the main stage."6:02>> And I was like listening. And I was just6:04like, "Oh, okay.6:07You were calling me."6:09>> I was just a man lover.6:11>> You don't You don't No. Oh,6:15>> that fooled me.6:16>> Wow. But there was a picture of you with6:18a wig a wig and6:21>> Hey, pull up the picture.6:23>> Cut the cameras. No, cut the cameras.6:24Let's run the fade.6:27>> Hey, back in.6:29>> Yeah. So, Johnny Johnny cried. That's6:32why his eyes are red.6:34>> I just I just whooped him6:36>> with these gay paws of mine.6:39>> Oh my god.6:40>> Was that not funny? Okay. So basically6:42what I recognized was you cannot6:45outbehave your broken identity,6:48>> right? You cannot outbehave a broken6:50identity.6:51>> Identity. Oh, dang. So6:53>> I was trying to outbehave my broken6:55identity. I was like, "Oh man, I'm a I'm6:57I'm insecure. I'm this." No, I'll just6:59act like I'm strong. You cannot7:01outbehave that way.7:01>> You can't fake it till you make it.7:03>> No way, dude. You're going to fake it7:04until you realize you can't fake it7:06anymore. Basically,7:07>> that's what it is. Has there ever been7:09has there ever been a time you faked it7:11till you make it?7:13>> You can you can in a sense you can fake7:15it till you make it but at some point7:16like Johnny says you have to catch up7:17with yourself because any anything that7:20you have to lie to receive you never7:22truly had. You guys have heard that7:24>> facts7:24>> but it's like you can lie and have all7:26this stuff but this if you don't if you7:28were lying it's very7:30>> artificial. What about like when you7:31like apply for a job and you fudge a7:33little bit on your skill set if you're7:35saying, "Yeah, I know Photoshop." And by7:37the time the week rolls around, you did7:39100 hours of Photoshop tutorials on7:40YouTube, whatever it is, that's fine.7:42But you can't fake it till you make it7:43saying, "Oh, yeah, I know Photoshop."7:44Until they're ready for a flyer7:45>> and then you can't make a flyer. They7:47know it's Chad GPT. Like,7:49>> you're going to catch up with yourself7:50at some point.7:51>> So, you can delay. So, you can delay it7:53till you make it.7:54>> Basically, kick the can down the road.7:56>> Yeah. Kick the can down the road.7:57>> The king of the kick. He's the king of8:00the kicking cans competition.8:01>> Well,8:03>> you should see on Aaron's street, it's8:05just like down the road. It's just like8:07a mountain of cans.8:09>> Yeah, you can from his house, you could8:10see just like a8:12>> Oh my gosh,8:13>> a world record stack of cans.8:15>> Yeah.8:16>> What's the can you're dreading the most?8:18And that's at the end of that road.8:20>> It was his wisdom tooth.8:22>> Yeah, there's plenty of cans.8:25I get asked this question a lot where8:28people ask like you know so I'll be8:30doing mainstages and discords discord8:33stages and I'll do lives and literally8:36I'll see people tormented they'll sit8:39there and I think all of us have8:40experienced this where they're like I8:44don't I know this is bad for me I8:47understand whether it's people like8:48toxic relationships or just toxic habits8:51where they just keep running back to it8:54and returning back to it even though8:57they know I shouldn't be doing this.9:00They already like understand the9:02trajectory and the consequences of what9:04happens even afterwards. So people ask9:06me that question Johnny why is it that9:08although I know that I shouldn't do X Y9:11and Z habit and I know it's going to9:12make me feel empty lonely or whatever9:15less than why do I continue to return9:17back to it and for me it's an identity9:21thing right so as I had mentioned9:23earlier a lot of people think like9:26behavior is just action but it stems9:29from a broken identity if you have a9:32broken identity then you're going to9:33have these broken habits9:35So people are super focused on how do I9:39fix something versus like what in me9:42needs to be fixed, right? Versus like9:44how do I So I I I it's kind of like a9:47dog barking less doesn't make it less of9:51a dog, right? Like if a a dog never9:54barks, let's say there's some dogs that9:55I know that never bark, right?9:58>> It doesn't mean that it's not a dog. So9:59people think like, oh, if I fix my10:02habit, then I'm not that person. Whereas10:04like no you don't even have to fix the10:06habit. If you fix it at the root issue10:08which is the identity or where you're10:10messed up internally then it fixes that10:12as a byproduct. Right? So I I struggled10:16with that so much because10:18>> even Apostle Paul says this in Romans10:197:15. He says I do the things I don't10:22want to do. The things that I want to do10:24I don't do. And the things that I hate10:26that I do. So I never wanted to be10:30depressed. never wanted to be like10:32lacking or weak or you know have these I10:36guess these shortcomings and blemishes10:40>> but all the time I would run back to10:42just being sad I would run back to being10:44like depressed I would tell myself all10:47right positive thoughts you know10:48manifestation was a big thing for me too10:50like when I first heard you guys10:52remember the the book the secret10:54>> yeah y10:55>> that was like energy and putting it out10:57there and you got to like put it into10:59the universe right everything is energy11:00energ. So, I try to live like that and11:03it just would never work for me cuz11:05yeah, I'll start off super strong and11:07then by night time I'd be like, "Man, I11:09hate life. This sucks. What's wrong with11:11me? What the hell?" And then I try to11:13check myself like, "No, no, no. Okay,11:15stop thinking like this." The book said11:16you need to think like this and if you11:18put it out there and then it'll return11:19to you and blah blah blah and there's11:20karmic debt and etc., etc. I was able to11:23see like, oh, now I know a broken11:26identity is never going to fulfill or11:29fix, you know, or or create like better11:33actions. Like better actions is not11:34going to fix a broken identity11:36essentially,11:37>> right? So, yeah.11:39>> True. And people use those bad habits to11:42hide an identity sometimes.11:44>> Yeah.11:44>> Like, uh, here I have a really crazy11:46question for you guys, actually.11:47>> Wow.11:48>> Um, on that exact note. Okay. Because11:52we'll lie to ourselves a lot.11:54>> Yeah.11:54>> To have these bad habits. So11:57>> if your bad habit disappeared tomorrow,12:00who would you have to become?12:02>> Say that one more time.12:04>> If your bad habit disappeared tomorrow,12:06who would you have to become?12:09>> Right.12:10>> Oh.12:11>> Cuz like I know for myself cuz it's like12:12>> Okay. Yeah. So what is it for you? A lot12:14of times I I can fall back on like a12:17just like a being a pothead or a smoking12:19addiction or something because it's like12:21oh well I just did that because I was12:24smoking or like oh it's just a problem I12:26have whatever it is. But like if that12:28bad habit was gone tomorrow I would have12:30like I wouldn't have that excuse12:32anymore.12:32>> It would just be like a bumbling idiot.12:34>> Yeah. I would have to face like I would12:36have to face the music in that sense or12:37it's like um12:39>> but can it go the other way? Like if you12:41remove the bad habit, you wouldn't be12:43like that. Isn't that the whole point?12:45>> Well, true. I'm saying like12:47>> we like remove the smoky. We're like,12:50>> okay. Well, like like you're saying,12:52there's reasons why people have bad12:53habits and it's to ignore certain12:57aspects that may12:58>> Oh, like hiding behind the bad habit.13:00>> Right. Right.13:00>> Gotcha. Okay. Sorry. Sorry. I didn't13:02understand And just because it's like um13:04like if if I if I wasn't smoking all the13:08time and had to even acknowledge like my13:10thoughts or identity or the reason why I13:12was smoking in the first place, I would13:13have to like confront that. Like if that13:15like if smoking was gone, who what would13:17I have to overcome? It's like all the13:19reasons why I smoke in the first place.13:21Really?13:21>> Sheesh. That's a good one. I think for13:24me if my bad habit is always like being13:28a perfectionist. So if I think that, oh,13:32if it goes away, then I'd have to13:34probably see how really weak I was13:36versus like saying, well, I'm a13:38perfectionist, that's why I overdid it.13:40You know what I mean? Or I would be like13:41a workaholic cuz I could hide behind13:44like, oh, I just want things done a13:46certain way. Like what? I'm sick. Sure.13:47Like, but I want this done a certain13:49way. Right? There's that. And then also13:51the weakness aspect. Like that one I13:54kind of have I'm confused about. So if I13:56was like okay I'm weak and my it's not13:59necessarily a bad habit but let's say I14:02uh I have like negative thoughts right14:05then if you remove this bad habit of14:07like rumination then what does it mean14:09I'm just mental14:11you know it's like ah I just have14:13negative thoughts all the time right14:15>> you get what I'm saying14:16>> if you had to remove the bad habit of14:17rumination what would you have to face14:20um14:21>> you would probably have to I don't know14:23face all the things that you always14:25ruminate about14:26>> cuz maybe sometimes like rumination and14:28overthinking is like also a comforting14:30or coping thing cuz you're trying to14:32understand or explain things to14:33yourself.14:34>> True.14:34>> But when you eliminate that, maybe you14:36just have to like face things head on or14:37>> face that you don't understand anything.14:39Yeah. Yeah.14:40>> Dang. I wonder. So like I have a a14:43social I have a phone addiction where14:45I'll just like endless just randomly14:47like squeeze in like it's just like oh I14:50got downtime. I can just do a quick14:51little doom scroll. It literally feels14:52like what probably vaping feels like for14:54you. M14:55>> and I have like a like if I really need14:57to work, I'll do the extreme things I14:58have to do to get it done, right? Like15:00you guys never really notice that I'm15:02like15:02>> so behind on things, but I also like if15:05it's the weekend and I have nothing,15:06I'll just burn an hour,15:08>> right?15:08>> Just doing nothing. Like looking at the15:10most mindless wasteful videos.15:12>> And see, that's exactly what you would15:13have to face, though.15:14>> Exactly. So, so, so I'm trying to I'm15:16I'm wondering for me, I'm like, "Oh,15:19this is my way to decompress because15:21I've worked so hard."15:23>> Sure. decompress. It's It's decompress.15:25Sure. But it's your way to like15:27disappear,15:29but it's like disconnect.15:30>> I think I think a lot of times it's to15:32also avoid certain like Well, I don't15:34know. Maybe it's because it's like it's15:36so brain like it allows me to just go15:38completely brain dead.15:40>> Right. But why though? Because you would15:41have to face an hour alone of thought.15:45You'd have to face the real world. You'd15:47be like, "Okay,15:48>> whatever things you are potentially15:50dealing with or thinking about, you15:52would have to sit with that." Even the15:53thought of having a free hour on a15:55Saturday night, it's like you would have15:56to face that. It's like I guess my other15:59thought too is though like I also see16:01how16:03social me Oh, it's it's clicking other16:07things clicked about it because I'm like16:08I do wasteful things on social media and16:12it's because I'm trying to entertain16:14myself or16:17>> yeah time otherwise you would have to16:19spend it with yourself and then your16:21thoughts and then16:22>> Okay. Interesting. Now I'm not ready to16:23share that on the podcast. I started16:25having thoughts and I was like, "Oh,16:27wait. I'm not saying that on a public16:28forum."16:29>> Social media is a really good one,16:30though. It's a really clear example.16:31People have it as a horrible habit and16:33they use it to ignore the real world16:34because they don't want to face whatever16:36they actually have to deal with, whether16:37it's cleaning your living room or16:39whatever it is.16:39>> Yeah, it could be that simple, but it16:41could also be like deeper16:42>> complex. Yeah.16:43>> Why are you wasting hours on this thing?16:45>> Very true. Goes both ways.16:47>> Interesting.16:48>> Yep. Okay, so17:39I might as well get free therapy.17:42>> What do I have to admit to myself and17:45reveal about my identity17:47>> to start like, you know, like that I17:49have this crutch or that I I'm wasteful17:51with time or I get distracted easily.17:53>> What am I what do I need to first face17:55or admit to myself?17:57>> Well, first you have to acknowledge17:58like, okay, I have a bad habit.18:00>> Yes. But secondly, you also have to18:03realize that you're not really fighting18:04your habit. You're fighting this idea of18:08who you think you are.18:10>> Does that make sense?18:11>> Yeah. I'm just trying to wonder who I18:12think I am because it's truly a bad18:14habit. So, for example, I'll wake up in18:16the morning. So, I'm I've been testing18:17all these things to improve my sleep.18:19What's super interesting, this is kind18:21of tangential, but if I turn like not18:24having Wi-Fi and cellular data turned18:27on, like because my phone I I sometimes18:29like listen to a podcast to fall asleep.18:31I'll download the podcast, turn it off,18:33and I get better sleep.18:35>> Yeah.18:35>> It's kind of strange, but here nor18:37there. in the morning, right?18:40>> I open up I I turn on my phone just to18:44to like Well, I don't use it as an18:46alarm, but sometimes I'll just grab the18:47phone just cuz I want to check my sleep18:49score. But then the second thing I do is18:51I have no social media on this phone18:54except LinkedIn. And I'll open up18:56LinkedIn and like doom scroll LinkedIn18:58for like five minutes and then I'll19:00realize no, grab the Bible. Grab the19:02Bible. But I can literally feel myself19:04being like, "Ah, I could do like three19:07more minutes of LinkedIn. This article's19:08pretty interesting." Or whatever it is.19:10Okay. So, let's start there.19:13What What do I have to reveal that damn19:15you're addicted?19:17>> Yeah. You have to kind of acknowledge19:18not that you're addicted, but that19:19there's at least an a problem where19:21you're like there's resistance.19:23>> Yes.19:24>> You're like, "Ah, three more minutes19:26like two like we're like kids, you know?19:27Like, can we watch our cartoons for two19:29more minutes?" Like,19:30>> as long as you acknowledge that, that's19:31the first step. And I think is a huge19:33step. Most people don't even acknowledge19:35that. They're like, "What's three19:37minutes?" They they do it like that19:38versus you're like, "Yo, I need to be19:40picking up the Bible and I need to like19:42spend my time more effectively and19:44efficiently, right?" So, it's it's I19:47think number I think the biggest thing19:49is just to acknowledge, okay, uh there19:51is some resistance. I I could probably19:53do better here.19:54>> Okay.19:55>> And then that's step one. Um, and then19:58step two, if it's like for that, you can20:02try it, right? Execute like, okay, from20:04here on out, let me try to like set up a20:07a good habit because you can also20:09counterbalance bad habits with a good20:10habit, right? You have to kind of it is20:13resistance. So, you have to just feel20:15something that's uh stronger. So,20:18there's like this this thing that pastor20:20always talks about where he's like20:21there's two wolves in your body, right?20:23there's the the like evil wolf and the20:26good wolf, right? And20:28he goes, who you feed is going to like20:32win at the end of the day. So, the evil20:34wolf, if it's like trying to eat at you,20:36it could be like negative thoughts,20:37depression, bad habits, all this stuff.20:40If you keep feeding that and fall into20:42it, which is like feeding it, then it's20:44going to overpower you. But in the same20:45way, if you feed like this this good20:48wolf, right, then it'll get strong20:50enough to also defeat the negative20:52habits too, right? Do20:54>> you know what's so interesting about20:55that? Why does it feel like the bad20:58thing is easier to do, right? Like, why21:01does it feel like21:02>> I know a biblical answer for that?21:03>> Yeah, give me the biblical answer.21:04>> Because we're born corrupted. We're born21:07like naturally like just opportunistic.21:10We're born for survival. And bad things21:13are usually for things that would be21:16like even your body, right? Why does it21:18hold why is fat the last thing to go?21:21Because that's the thing that it's like21:23easy to store and that's the thing where21:25like anything that's easy the our body21:27is known naturally just take the the21:29path of least resistance. That's just21:31how it is. So when it comes to21:33resistance, your body's default setting21:35is I want to go to the easiest side,21:38which is doom scrolling versus picking21:39up a Bible, sitting there, and then, you21:42know, practicing your mental stamina and21:44like provoking your mind to like and the21:46synapses to fire and all that stuff,21:48right? So it's it's just natural. And21:50and that's why when you look at kids,21:52too, they just the first thing they want21:54to do is like cry when they don't get21:55what they want or they just give up on21:57every little thing. When I went to go21:59see my my niece, like she's all she's22:02like a magnet to her mom, bro. Like I'm22:05over here like, "Give me some of that or22:07give me your toys." And she won't give22:08it to me. And she'll look at her mom and22:10like depending on and she's like a year22:12and some change, right? Depending on22:15like how if her mom's like, "Give it to22:16him." Then he'll she'll do it. But if22:18she doesn't, she won't she'll just like22:20sit there and cry and throw her body and22:22like literally will like be like melting22:25having like a meltdown, right? And I'm22:27like, who taught the kid that? Like, who22:29teaches kids this type of stuff? Right?22:31Baby Isaiah again would like lie. And22:33I'm like, who taught you these types of22:35things? And it's because their mindset22:37is already set to be like, I'm going to22:39go the easy route. Getting in trouble is22:41not easy. So, I'm going to lie to get22:42out of trouble. Um, you know, studying22:44is not easy. So, I'm just going to copy22:46and I'm going to cheat and I'm going to22:48do things that are just not it's all to22:50preserve self. But actually, it's22:53rotting us from inside out, right?22:55Resistance. D, you know, pressure makes22:57diamonds. Like truly no pain, no gain.22:59These things are legit real. Like every23:02single person that and I'm doing this23:03with the book reading right now where23:06there's some parts that are so dry and23:09the way that this Nicholas Carr guy23:10writes is very high level. So at least23:13to me and I'm just like he uses certain23:15words that I'm like so I want to like23:19get off the book and like search it up.23:21But I just literally accept what it says23:23and I just kind of like keep reading and23:25I'm able to see that it's not even you23:29understanding what he's saying. It's23:32sitting through it that's like the23:34hardest thing23:35>> where I'm just like and then not letting23:37your mind drift as you're as you're23:39reading is the hardest thing. But that's23:42what it does once you notice it. It23:44tells you to just pull your mind back23:46like okay I'm drifting right now.23:47because he talked about you know uh23:50yesterday he talked when I what I was23:52reading he spoke about um uh Gutenberg.23:55So the guy who created the printing23:57press, right?23:58>> Oh yeah. Gutenberg. You have to forget.24:01>> I mean the guy who created the printing24:02press.24:02>> Yeah. What he created out of the24:03printing press, the first thing he made24:05was a Bible.24:06>> And so there's a Gutenberg Bible. And so24:08right there I'm right there. I'm like24:10>> after himself.24:11>> Yeah. Literally, bro.24:12>> All he did was print it and he like it's24:14the my Bible.24:14>> Like it's mine. Yeah. So he's like24:15Gutenberg Bible. And then I'm over here24:17like24:18>> my mind started drifting to the24:20historical aspect like oh I remember as24:22I'm reading my mind is going Gutenberg.24:25Oh yeah, that was made in 19 something.24:26And I'm like, what the hell am I doing?24:28Like what am I, you know, and then I24:30have to like bring it back. So I think24:32to say I say all that to say naturally,24:35we just have this mindset to think for24:37ourselves. And that means I'm going to24:40do whatever I want to do and the things24:41that I don't want to do and have24:43resistance on, I'm not going to do it.24:44Why? It doesn't make sense until you24:46recognize that that's what growth is. Is24:49to do the things you don't want to do.24:51>> Right? And you always know, too. like24:53you always know when you're doing the24:55wrong thing kind of like no one it's24:57very rare that you're accidentally24:58getting into bad habits and we can talk25:00about accidental bad habits or habits25:02you might not notice or not might not25:03realize but25:04>> I'd say the vast majority of bad habits25:07like you realize it's the same reason25:08we're able to even identify the bad25:10habits like why you're even struggling25:12with it it's like okay you you know that25:14the phone is an issue or whatever people25:16often know25:17>> yeah why are you struggling if you don't25:19know like you wouldn't struggle you'd be25:20like what this is fine right exactly And25:22because it's so easy, so easy to talk25:25about what you want to do, but then in25:27the moment we always fold. It's like25:29>> I I love to sit here and say, "I'm going25:31to stop smoking until I'm just dying for25:33it." I'm like, "I'm just going to do25:34this cuz whatever." Or it's like we love25:36to be like, "I need to stop using my25:37phone." Until you're scrolling and25:38you're like, "Whatever, whatever." Like25:39at some point you just fold. Like25:40everyone just folds under because25:42exactly what you're saying. It's like25:44people just want to choose the easier25:45route, myself included.25:46>> And that's just how habits form I guess.25:49>> Yeah. I think the reason why a lot of25:50people can't overcome bad habits too is25:54because whether it's self-help, whether25:56it's no disrespect, I did 12 steps,25:59whether it's any type of accountability26:01program, it's it's it places all of the26:05responsibility responsibility back onto26:07you, right? So like if you're already26:10crooked and broken, then you trying to26:12fix yourself is like very difficult to26:15do. So I think that's why Christianity26:18smacked so much for me is like you can't26:20do it. That's why Jesus had to do it for26:23you. And so I was able to kind of learn26:26>> that it's not your like sheer willpower.26:29How many times have we sat there and was26:30like okay I'm going to try and even took26:33the steps to do it and still there was26:35it wasn't fulfilled or we fall off or as26:38you had mentioned it just takes enough26:39time to be like you know what forget it.26:41This is too much. it's breaking my back26:43and I'm just going to fall into it at26:45either way. So, it is not just sheer26:47willpower. It is something that's way26:49deeper and again it comes down to like26:52identity. It comes down to recognizing,26:54oh, I can't do it. I genuinely can't do26:57it. There's something that has to lift26:59me out of it. And so for all of those27:01people who are watching, that's what had27:03to come to me was I started with I can27:06do anything I put my mind to if I just27:09do it, you know, like I can I can27:12achieve it. Then it started to kind of27:15get rocky and I'm like, okay, maybe it's27:18just this thing that I struggle with.27:19And then I started to see I struggle27:21with everything in some way, shape, or27:23form. I could always improve on27:25anything. And then I would pacify27:27myself. Well, that's human. you know,27:29sometimes like it's okay to struggle27:30with this. It's okay to struggle with27:31that. But I started to then realize,27:33like you had mentioned, I couldn't lie27:35to myself anymore. I was like, bro, I'm27:37making excuses for everything. Excuses27:40that I don't want to read, excuses that27:42I don't want to I'm lazy, excuses that27:44I'm being complacent. Literally,27:46everything was just an excuse for me.27:48And I think that acknowledgement, which27:50goes back to what I was telling Jeremy,27:52once you acknowledge like, wow, I make27:54excuses for everything. And no one likes27:58to work with me, no one likes to be27:59around me because they have to carry me.28:02That's when things started to genuinely28:04change. Like I realized internally that28:06there was a problem versus externally.28:09Okay. What happens in the situation28:12where there's enough evidence of things28:15that are still working out for you to28:17where you're the bad habit just exists?28:20And I'm talking about my situation,28:21right? So, I'll be doom scrolling or28:24whatever and I'll try what you're28:26saying. I've literally prayed to God to28:27be like, "God, I'm doing this bad habit28:30again. Please remove this from me28:32because it's affecting my work or, you28:35know, it's just not good. I could see28:37that it's going in a in a in a bad28:39direction than a positive thing. And28:41I'll remember that to do that maybe like28:44a couple of the times and then I'll28:46forget and then I'll just kind of be28:47like,28:48>> "Ah,28:49>> whatever." You know what I'm saying? So28:50like what what do I do in that situation28:52when28:54>> you know my life isn't terrible. It's28:55not like it's not not like work is28:57suffering. It's not like my health is28:59suffering. It's I still get all my I29:01still figure out how to doom scroll and29:02be productive.29:03>> Yeah. So,29:06what do you Yeah. What do I do in that29:08situation? Because I am praying to God29:10and I do want it. Do I really not want29:12it removed? Because I do want it29:13removed. It's just hasn't gotten to the29:15point where no one wants to work with me29:17and the business falling apart. And I29:18think that I wouldn't let it get to that29:19point. You know what I'm saying? It's29:20kind of like that secret alcoholic that29:23somehow is still functional functional29:25until 40 years old, 45 years old, and29:27they disguise it as, oh, social drinking29:28or whatever. But they go out every29:29night. You know, that's maybe how I29:31feel. I think then that just means the29:34bad habit isn't bad enough.29:36>> Like genuinely29:39>> it's bad.29:39>> I'm saying if it's bad then it would be29:41you know what I mean? Like there there29:43has to be a change where you recognize29:45like oh my gosh this is not29:47>> like but you had answered your own29:48question because you're like it's not29:50breaking the stuff like that's your real29:51heart. Yes, it's bad in your opinion29:54which is expectation but it's not bad29:56enough to be like like you just said29:58it's it's just not bad. That's what I29:59said. I'll say I'll say the excuse.30:02>> I'll say I'll go deeper on my excuse.30:03>> Okay.30:04>> The reason is on a weekend I don't go30:07out and party and drink or anything. I'm30:08like, well, it's I have this two hours.30:10I could be productive, but I want to30:13relax and I worked hard or whatever.30:14>> That goes to my point.30:15>> No, no, no. But what I'll also tell30:17myself is Yeah. Exactly. No, I agree30:19with you. What I also say is why I know30:22it's bad and I tell myself is because if30:25I if let's say I want another30:28relationship or I want to do more in my30:30life, this thing is going to ruin30:32>> ruin that. Does that make sense? So30:34that's why I'm trying to carve it now30:36cuz I'm like I could do so many other30:37positive things with it, but I don't30:38because I'm like I'm single. I got all30:40this time cleaning my house. I'll do it30:42tomorrow. Doing this, I'll do it later.30:44You know what I'm saying? It's not30:45affecting me that bad.30:47>> Yeah. that that's I mean I think also30:50>> but I want it gone30:51>> but there are certain things that when30:53you do like when you did have a30:55relationship you were cleaning the house30:56you were delegating certain things you30:58were bending so I also think that31:00there's times where it comes to the31:02expectation aspect again where sometimes31:05your guys's bad habits is only bad to31:07you too right like I feel like I have31:10like a very weak mind and I'm not31:12articulate that's my op and I feel as if31:15I use too many filler words Like back31:18then understand makes sense. I would say31:20that and I would hate myself for saying31:22that. And somehow the audience loves31:24that. They're like understand and I'm31:26like uh like in the beginning re-watch31:29my videos. No, literally re-watch my my31:32videos early on31:33>> I would be like understand and I'm like31:36oh shoot like like I would you'll see it31:38in my face. I'm like like cuz it would31:41hit me. But people would go, I love when31:43you say understand so that I can sit31:46there and try to think, am I really31:48understanding?31:49>> And I'm like, yeah, that one. Yeah,31:51exactly. That's it. Yep. That's I I did31:53that on purpose. Like I genuinely would31:55do that. So,31:56>> and those are two bad habits. Understand31:57and perfectionist.31:59>> Yeah.32:00>> So,32:02sure, buddy. I'm just kid. But32:06basically, I was sitting there and I'm32:08like, "Okay, it's you have to realize32:11whether or not it's an expectation or32:13whether it's really a bad habit." I32:15think a bad habit is when it affects32:17other people number one and other people32:20are calling it out like, "Hey, I noticed32:23that you like some people have this32:25habit of not listening and o and32:27overtalking people." I I mentor this guy32:30who he just tries to formulate a32:33person's sentence like naturally32:35>> like you.32:36>> I think his his last name starts with32:37Kim,32:38>> but um32:39>> um we we just said the same thing.32:44>> Oh my gosh,32:45>> we finish each other's sandwiches.32:48>> See,32:51>> I'm I'm I'm done. Do you guys understand32:54how hard it is32:56>> to have to finish a podcast with someone32:58like Jerome Kim on here?33:01>> Literally, you're like deep in thought.33:03It just knocks you off of your thought33:05to just clown you.33:07>> Anyways, bro, I'm going to I'm kidding,33:09guys, cuz some of you guys are actually33:10going to write in the comments. I know.33:12That's exactly how I feel. Don't leak,33:14>> okay? Cuz we'll block your comment. I'm33:16just kidding. No, legit though, like I33:19genuinely think it's an expectation33:21issue. a bad habit. We obviously we know33:25what bad habits are, but even those33:27things are subjective to some people33:28too. Like a bad habit is only bad to you33:32and I think if you take it serious then33:34yeah, you should try to change it. But33:36it goes back to the grace aspect.33:38>> I want to change a lot of things about33:40myself and I'll, you know, share these33:42types of things with Jeremy and Aaron33:44and they're usually like I I don't see33:47that like it's okay. Like stop saying33:49that. I notice I apologize a lot and33:51you'll be like, "Stop saying that, man.33:53Stop saying that." I'm like, "Bro, I'm33:54sorry. Stop saying that. Stop saying33:56that." To me, I feel like it's good to33:58apologize, but I guess I I I, you know,34:02overly do it. So, I don't think it's a34:04bad habit, but I do see why people would34:07could take advantage of that. Like, if I34:09say sorry, and certain people would be34:11like, "Yeah, you should be." Or, "Oh,34:13this guy's always apologizing and like34:15he he probably does mess up a lot,34:16right?" And it could shift the dynamic34:18of like relationships and how people34:20perceive me etc etc. So uh I do34:23appreciate that but again it comes down34:25to is your habit really a bad habit?34:28Meaning is it hindering you to the point34:30where you're not being able to get stuff34:32done in your circumstance in your34:34situation? I don't think so. You get34:36hell of stuff done. Go ahead. Go ahead34:39Mr. Aaron. Tell him34:40>> no his h his habit can still be a bad34:42habit because you're telling yourself oh34:43I'm still getting enough done. I'm still34:44getting enough done. I'm sure there's34:46things in your mind that you would like34:48done that aren't done. Even if it's as34:49simple as cleaning your room or if it's34:51going out somewhere in public and doing34:52something if you've wanted to get out of34:53your house more and see friends,34:54whatever it is,34:55>> folding the laundry on my floor that's34:57been there for 4 days.34:59>> Sure. Even if it's that, it's like um35:01all those tiny tiny things like35:03sometimes a bad habit is what you're not35:07doing. Your your tendency to not do35:11something is also a bad habit. So, it's35:13like if you're like, "Okay, I deserve35:14this. I get to go on my phone." I'll35:16just tell you, like we've talked about35:17with James Ston, these apps were not35:20designed to make your life better.35:21They're actually designed to make your35:22life worse. So, any time you put into35:25that is not worth anything. You're not35:27You could put in hours and hours into35:29reals and sure, you might learn a thing35:30or two, but really, it's really not35:31worth it in the long run. If you took35:32that same amount of time, even though35:34it's less easy and less fun to clean35:36your place or fold your laundry or go35:38out in the long run, it's just gonna35:40have a way higher return on mental35:42having those habits like not digging35:43into those bad habits.35:44>> Agreed. That that triggered something35:46for me because I thought I I mentor this35:48kid. Well, he's not a he's a he's 18.35:51That's not Is he Is that a kid? No,35:53that's not the That's an adult these35:56days. Have you talked to a 23 year old?35:57They're children.35:58>> Yeah. But still, it's like a it's still35:59a legal adult. A kid I'm thinking 12.36:01Yeah. So 18. Um and he plays a lot of36:05games and the one thing he says is he's36:07he's addicted. And so he would he36:10started off in the stream with hey36:11Johnny is playing video games sin sinful36:15and then later he's he's since been36:16saved and understands that it's not you36:19know this or that and slap on the wrist36:20type of thing. Follow this law, break36:22this law, whatever. It's not36:23transactional. But the one thing he36:27realized I think what I helped him36:28unlock was exactly what you said. I'm36:31like, when you spend all of that time,36:32what are you getting accomplished? It's36:34dopamine hits 100%. It feels good, but36:37like who cares if you rank for this,36:39this, and that. I know some of y'all be36:40throwing your controller right now at36:41the, you know, screen, but it's like,36:43it's true. It's It feels like you36:45accomplish so much, but in reality,36:48you're not really doing anything. Yes.36:50And like Aaron said, there are things of36:52course where people's brains move36:54quicker and they're like processing and36:55all that is is good, but I told him36:58straight up like if you spend because he36:59would spend like seven hours a day37:02playing games, right? Eight hours a day.37:04And I'm like, if you spend just half of37:06that in your word, I think it would be37:09so it would do so much more for your37:11brain than if you were playing games.37:14>> I'm like, you could play three hours.37:15Three hours is a lot. He's like, three37:17hours isn't a lot. It goes like that's a37:18couple matches. And I'm like, dang.37:20Right. But I'm like, 3 hours is a lot.37:22Let's say you play that, but then you37:24spend another 3 to four hours reading37:25the Bible or like, you know, reading a37:27book.37:28>> And he start he he was inspired by like37:31what I was talking about with the with37:32the book that I was reading. And now37:34he's like, "Bro, I can recall stuff much37:36easier. It's only been like 3 weeks, but37:38I I I I like he would forget his keys.37:41He would forget where he put his wallet.37:43He would forget like even what he had in37:45the morning to eat. Like it was just it37:47was bad for him. And now he's like, "Oh,37:49I'm remembering stuff. I'm remembering37:51stuff." So he didn't see it as like a37:54big issue. So to that point too, a lot37:56of people don't think certain things are37:58problems and they until it becomes a38:01problem and some people don't realize38:02that they have a bad habit. But it also38:05I don't want you guys to go to the other38:06extreme where everything that you think38:08isn't matching your expectation is a bad38:10habit too. So there's this balance of38:12you know what's a good habit, what's a38:14what's not. A lot of it is subjective38:16unless it's like blatantly obvious like38:18yeah I freaking smoke crack like every38:21week like you know that's a bad habit.38:23That's obviously bad, but says you.38:26>> But then yeah, even for the video games,38:28people everyone like everyone wants to38:30make excuses for everything. Like you38:31could justify anything to that. Okay,38:33I'm learning teamwork.38:36I'm going to become a pro.38:37>> It's like who cares? Yeah. Who cares?38:39Like even yours, oh, I've worked so hard38:40all day. I'm going to use reels to wind38:42down. It's like nothing is nothing is38:45relaxing about watching someone get38:47their head blown off and then you see38:49some a millionaire with a car you don't38:51have and then you see all this like38:52nothing is relaxing.38:53>> Yeah. Nothing's relaxing about seeing a38:55guy get his head cut off.38:57>> There is nothing to wind down by39:00scrolling through reels. It's terrible39:02for your brain. If you really want39:04something relaxing, meditate, take a39:06shower. If you want to wind down,39:07>> I want to see you meditate. You cannot39:10sit in your own thoughts for more than a39:12minute.39:13>> No. You know what I do is like when I'm39:14doing things like washing the dishes and39:15stuff, I don't listen to podcasts39:17anymore. And that's when that's when you39:18really have a second to actually think39:20about stuff cuz it's like you have to do39:21it anyways. You're doing stuff with your39:22hands. If you just don't put a podcast39:24on, it's like those little moments where39:25I'm like, "Oh, I'll just throw a podcast39:27on. Let me not think at all." Like I39:29literally started to realize every39:31second of my day was like non-thinking.39:33I'd be either working or listening to39:35something, but there was never just like39:36a moment where I could just think39:39>> is is is watching like a YouTube video39:42like a Fern video relaxing. Am I allowed39:44to do that?39:46>> No. I mean, it is, but I just39:48>> put on a main stage,39:50>> right? You can always, right? You can39:51always justify it in a million different39:52ways, but there's something there's39:54better habits you can form to accomplish39:56the same justification.39:57>> I number one do listen to mainstages or40:00I'll listen back to podcast episode. I40:02think number two, can I say something? I40:04think why our mainstages are different40:07than other people's podcasts.40:09>> I don't really listen to crazy podcast,40:11but I know in mainstages is very40:13interactive. So, when you're sitting40:15here and you're telling other cuz I ask40:17the the audience questions, whereas40:19podcasts are more of like you're just40:21kind of an audience and you're listening40:22in like any YouTube video or whatever. I40:25think when you're sitting there and40:26you're like actually thinking about the40:28question like how would I answer that?40:30Johnny says the heart is deceitful. What40:32does that mean? What does that mean to40:33me? Like this would this does better40:35than just sitting there and turning your40:36brain off. I I would say40:38>> I am learning like sometimes podcasts I40:40am learning a lot like I was recently40:42listening to one about how well actually40:45never mind it's not helping me just40:47about how like everything like basically40:48how our government is completely a40:50fraud. That's not helping my brain. Like40:51yeah you're right need to know that. But40:53what I do what I did want to say is the40:55comment of the week. The comment of the40:58week that people should leave right now41:00is what is an identity that you're what41:03is something you're afraid to admit41:05about yourself?41:06>> What is a habit you're trying to break41:07and what is something that you're afraid41:08to admit about yourself?41:10>> Oo, that's good, guys. What you what you41:12don't reveal, you cannot heal. Straight41:14up. So, that's really good. That also41:17reminds me if you guys don't just leave41:20comments. It42:00was it was42:03what lie about yourself does your worst42:05habit protect?42:06>> Okay, now you got to answer first.42:08>> I know. I was about to say it's scary42:09for us to all answer.42:10>> Okay, maybe Okay, I'll go first. Maybe I42:12think maybe part of the social media42:14thing is is like um it's not loneliness42:18in the traditional sense. Like I don't42:20care about like going out and drinking42:21and stuff, but I think it's a way for me42:24for me to feel like I'm still connected42:26to my friends.42:28>> Um because I don't really hang out with42:30anybody anymore,42:31>> right?42:31>> So there's that. And I think that42:33there's one aspect of like42:35>> yeah, that's my one that's basically how42:37I communicate with people. So being42:40alone in my thoughts or realizing that I42:42have no friends42:43>> is like a coping mechanism I guess.42:47>> Like when I'm sending memes or whatever42:48it is and42:50>> or I post things and people responding42:52it's like okay that's my like way to42:53socialize with people42:55>> but it's also like maybe avoidance so I42:57don't have to actually hang out with42:58people.42:59>> Can I talk about one that I had before?43:02>> Yeah.43:02>> That I don't really have now. Uh well I43:05have it but I I think it was different.43:07It was success. So success is I think43:11the most like socially acceptable bad43:13habit because it allows43:16>> it allowed me to hide behind the fact43:18that I was insecure. Like I oh I'm just43:21being successful. I'm chasing. I'm43:22grinding. I'm doing all of this stuff,43:24right? I'm building something. But at43:26the end of the day, like it was really43:28like a selfish thing. Like I wasn't back43:31then, I wasn't trying to be successful43:33to to help other people. It was solely43:36for myself. But then I would sit there43:38and go, "Oh, I'm so loving. Like, I'll43:40bail my homies out or whoever needs43:42might have some people out there still43:43owe me 10, $20,000." Cuz I would just43:46give it to them. But it was more of like43:48I was utilizing my success to not only43:51get friends, but also to show them like,43:53look, I'm I I'm I'm a good person, you43:56know? I I don't know if that makes43:57sense, but43:58>> it does.43:58>> Yeah.44:00>> Yeah.44:01>> There's nothing now. You don't have any44:03bad habits now. Trying to think. I44:05>> guess you've worked on yourself pretty44:06hard.44:06>> I think my food like eating I guess.44:09>> Yeah, I agree.44:10>> I I think I I eat I gorge on certain44:13like I'll just be like, "Oh, I'm super44:15tired. Like I worked super hard. I think44:18I deserve this." And I will literally44:21gorge.44:22I will what? Dude, that's why guys don't44:26tell less your bad habits. This guy for44:28sure going to laugh at you. He's like,44:29"You don't have them now." And then I'm44:31over here being vulnerable like,44:32"Hello." And he's over here like44:36>> you guys see why professional heart44:38closer.44:40>> This is someone who you don't follow.44:42Okay, follow me. Aaron's good. This guy44:45over here, look at him. He's getting red44:47cuz he knows it's true. He's dying, bro.44:50Cuz I'm over here like I eat because I'm44:52depressed and I'm depressed cuz I eat.44:55>> And he's over here like laughing. I do44:57eat a lot.44:58>> And then he eats all the wrong things44:59and go why am I sick? I'm like, don't45:02eat don't eat 40 don't eat 40 gallons of45:04hot pot.45:09>> 40 gallons of hot pot is he starves45:12himself all day and then he has no45:14choice.45:14>> It's called fasting.45:21>> It's called fasting.45:23>> Aaron is not laughing because he has to45:25now do his turn and this whole time.45:27>> I don't know. I was thinking of your45:28turn. Your turn's kind of crazy.45:30>> I don't really I don't really know how45:32to respond to it, but thanks for45:33sharing.45:33>> He's like, "You're a loser."45:36>> No, it's just interesting. Like, it's45:37tough because people don't live in the45:39same city anymore. No one ever has as45:40many friends as they did in college. And45:42like45:43>> we've all had the moment where it's45:44like, "Do I even have any friends?" Cuz45:45like there's people I know, but it's45:47like,45:47>> do I really want to go spend the time45:48and hang out with them? Probably not.45:50>> Do you guys feel like that? Like you45:52don't have any friends? Like,45:54>> no. I feel like I have good friends in45:56YouTube, but you guys don't want to hang45:57out with me every second of the day.45:58>> No, but I'm saying like your circle has46:00definitely gotten smaller. Yeah,46:02>> for sure.46:03>> But I'm talking about even when you guys46:05had a big circle cuz all of you guys46:07were popular at one point, right?46:10>> What's so funny?46:11>> Cuz I don't know. That just sounded46:13mean, but I wasn't trying to be. You46:15guys at one point were cool, you know?46:17It's like it's like that's like again46:20when you hang around on Jeremy. I'm just46:24kidding.46:24>> That's so funny. I didn't even clock46:26that at first.46:27>> Also, I clocked I was like, "What the46:29hell? Why did I say that?"46:30>> People don't know this about Johnny. I'm46:32going to oust him right now. He secretly46:34is pointing out all your insecurities,46:37but he just keeps it to himself.46:39>> What?46:40>> Yes. Yes.46:42>> Look, I notice things and I don't say46:44things because my mom taught me if you46:46don't have something nice to say, don't46:48say it at all. Right. I'm sure your46:49mom's taught you that, too, or your46:51granny's or whatever. But no, I I I46:54think46:54>> No, if you got a tick, you blink too46:56hard, your eyes maybe one eye is a46:58little too far to the right. Johnny47:00notices. He's just47:01>> I'll be like, "Wow, you got blue eyes.47:02One blue that way, one blue that way."47:08>> No, I'm just kidding.47:10>> No, you're not kidding. But anyways,47:11continue.47:12>> Okay. But but I Dang, I forgot what I47:15was going to say. You're saying we used47:16to be popular.47:18>> How many fingers am I holding?47:22You said uh47:24>> so so wait what was it again?47:26>> You said at one point you were popular47:27because we said our circles were getting47:28smaller.47:29>> Yeah. So I'm saying back then when you47:31guys had more friends, right? And we're47:33more so more social.47:35>> Did you guys were everyone homies? Like47:37genuinely like, oh, these are my homies,47:40my ride or dies. Cuz right now we have47:42ride or dies, right? Obviously us, but47:44it's like47:45>> was it like this, I don't know, 10 years47:47ago or 15 years ago for you guys? I felt47:49that way.47:50>> I do too. And47:51>> do you still think they're ride or dies47:53now though is what I'm saying. Even47:55though back then some of my friends47:57>> Oh, that changed for me. Now, maybe it's47:58the gang element, but I was like ride or48:01die, but then they people switch up,48:04right? So, I I'm just curious. I asked48:06that because I'm I'm curious to see like48:08people who aren't part of that life,48:09let's say, do people just switch? Cuz48:11biblically speaking,48:13>> it could be that they switched, but we48:15just never picked it up too, right? kind48:17of like the habit of like I don't know48:18if I have a bad habit or if this is a48:20good habit. It it it happens. So, I was48:22just curious.48:24>> People definitely switch, but low key48:26people I didn't mess with anyways. It's48:27like you kind of know who's going to48:28switch. You kind of know like you guys48:30heard the story on the boat when I was48:31talking to Zach, but it's like48:32>> that was crazy.48:33>> And I don't talk to certain friends48:34anymore, but it's like48:36>> and but the ones that I still am friends48:38with, I feel like I knew back then and48:40even now like you guys have met a lot of48:41my friends and I'm going to a lot of48:42their weddings and it's just like I48:43think the difference is proximity. It's48:45like back then when you see someone48:47every single day, it obviously feels48:48like way more brotherhood. Now when you48:51text like once or twice a month, it's48:52just tough.48:53>> And like and yeah, those are still my48:55ride or dies. And if I was if I was in48:57the hospital, they'd come visit like to48:58that level, but48:59>> yeah,49:00>> you don't feel it every day. It's not49:02like in your life anymore. So it's just49:04very different.49:04>> That's a good point. Yeah. I I feel like49:06then as an adult it's like you you got49:09to make an effort to physically move49:11your location49:13>> or else you're going to become a a49:15lonely49:16>> crazy catman like me.49:18>> Yeah. Also, one thing I will say and and49:21we're49:21>> What's so funny?49:22>> Nothing.49:24>> What's so funny?49:25>> Nothing. Why I told you49:26>> I'm trying to share my heart and I've49:28been a crazy49:28>> I didn't say anything. I'm just I think49:30it's just it's very fitting.49:34>> Something about the way you said that49:35just49:36>> Except my heart.49:39>> It's fitting.49:40>> My heart is closing for some reason. I49:42don't know why. Something about your49:44demeanor. The way you say things to me.49:46>> It's very fitting. Some stories write49:48themselves.49:49>> Don't Don't play with the chord because49:50I just imagined49:53I can do whatever I want. You49:56um um Wait, what was I about this? I was49:59saying as an adult, you got to really50:01try to make an effort to either live50:02close to your friends.50:03>> And what I will say, and we're all still50:05kind of going through this, but but uh50:06when I got out of my last relationship,50:09>> I've made a serious effort to go hang50:12with my friends that do live in LA, like50:13who I brought around, you guys, and you50:15guys have seen a bunch. So, it's like a50:17And so far, even in the last like month50:18or two, that has also just like made me50:20feel better, just having more people in50:22the fold. Also like even going out with50:24like not just us three but the I don't50:26want to just name drop everyone but the50:27other key pieces of core of the heart.50:29It's just like50:30>> since I got out of a relationship and50:32I'm actually going and doing like making50:33like50:34>> going out and doing more.50:36>> Um it has actually made me feel like50:38okay I do know six people in LA.50:42What I think is cool, not to like go too50:44much on a tangent, but what I think is50:47cool is that a lot of people say, I'm50:49sure you guys heard this, you guys50:50businesses, like you businesses and like50:53friends don't mix, right? But then like50:55what about when friends be like from50:57your business when people from your50:59business become your friends? What do51:00you guys that's different? Okay.51:02>> Yeah. Because you the intention is yo we51:04depend on each other to make this thing51:06work and then when it works it's like51:08okay great and you become close through51:10it. Whereas sometimes if it's your51:12friend, if the business is doing51:14horrible, the friend might be like,51:15"Well, we're friends."51:16>> Whereas business people always be like,51:18"That comes first." You know what I'm51:19saying?51:20>> Okay.51:20>> It's similar with family.51:21>> Yeah. Go ahead. Go ahead.51:22>> Well, I was just going to say it's51:23classic. Like, it's really really easy51:25to make friends with the people you work51:27with. It's really, really hard to do51:29work with the people you're friends51:30with.51:31>> Just never works out.51:33>> Cuz we went recently, we could talk51:35about this, the Magic Castle stuff.51:37>> Yeah. We went with us and you know51:40Wevon, Mr. Webin, and it was just cool.51:43We had a blast and it was and and I just51:45I guess I didn't understand the concept,51:46but I remember like51:48>> what do people mean when they say51:49friend, you know? But then obviously51:51I've had businesses with even family and51:54it was it was difficult like you said51:55and I'm like why? What's the difference?51:57And you kind of unlock that. It's true.51:59A lot of for a lot of you guys out there52:01who haven't started businesses or think52:02that it's okay to start with like52:04friends and family.52:06It's just no because they you can't tell52:10them like to work cuz now it's it they52:12take it as personal, right? It's like52:14hey bro it's like what are you trying to52:15say? You know me bro you know I'm not52:17like that. But it's like yeah but if52:18you're slacking now it's no longer like52:21employer telling employee. It's like52:23homie telling homie and then there's52:25this boundary that that they feel like52:27you cross, right? And so it's very52:29difficult.52:29>> You can work with a friend if you're52:31willing to lose a friend. That's just52:33like how it goes cuz it's like at some52:35point someone's going to disagree about52:36something. Even if they're the hardest52:37working, even if they're super52:38hardworking, you guys will just disagree52:40about things and you have to make a52:41decision for the betterment of the52:42business or you just have to people are52:44going to have to bend and fold. But when52:45you were friends first, it just makes52:46that harder and you just mess with52:47people less. Like I think we've all gone52:49into business with our friends that we52:50probably don't talk to as much anymore.52:51even my old partners and other things52:53>> and it just happens. You see it all the52:54time. Very famous businesses and TV52:57shows and everyone splits up and walks52:59away from things just because they can't53:00do it anymore with their friends.53:02>> Yeah,53:02>> dude. I would say that like53:05a b starting a business is almost to me53:10if as difficult as a a relationship like53:12a a love like a like a love interest.53:15You know what I'm saying? It's like your53:16>> your livelihood depends on the other's53:18person. It's constant communication. and53:20you have to53:21>> deal with a lot of problems. But um53:24>> dang at this point for the three of us53:26it seems like building a business is53:27easier than getting a relationship.53:29>> I know that's the grace though.53:31Genuinely I think that's like with that53:33being said I genuinely believe it's it's53:35grace. Like we mesh really well. I think53:38our company is just super chill. And I'm53:40not like fluffing our feathers. Like53:41genuinely, I'm like, man, it's just cool53:45to be able to like have everybody focus53:48and and not like fight over small BS53:51stuff. You know, you guys make it easy53:52for me to like cuz I know people who own53:55businesses and they feel like they're53:57babysitting everybody,53:59>> right? I mean, you've went through that.54:01>> So, for me, I never really feel like I'm54:04doing that. Like, I don't know. It's54:06it's it's I I one of the fears I I'll be54:09honest with you guys is when I first54:10started the business and why I wanted to54:12just do everything dooo was because I54:15was already dealing with people who were54:18coming to me for all these problems and54:20then I'm like dang I got to do that with54:22my business so where am I going to find54:24a place where I can just chill right so54:27but at the end of the day it's like it54:29there's like I do help people in our54:32company obviously on the spiritual side54:35but I guess it just it's cool seeing54:37that I help them and then it helps us54:40like54:41>> the the level up for this person will54:43also level up our business like you know54:46it's it's really cool and so I didn't I54:48didn't calculate that part it was more54:50of like again that selfish thinking of54:52like okay I have a perfect thing where54:54I'm doing everything right and I'm54:56accountable for everything that I do if54:58I add this person and this person now54:59I'm going to have to like manage my55:01emotions manage their expectations and55:03it's it was it was very tough But I'm55:06sure like people here, you know, I was55:08talking about this on our main stage55:09today on Discord.55:10>> I was like, man, I'm just thankful that55:12we hit, you know, 83 whatever million,55:15you know, views a month on a short55:17month. It was55:19>> and I was like, dang. All we were55:20focusing on was just the gospel55:22genuinely. Yes, we're doing level ups.55:24Yes, we're doing the carousels,55:25whatever, but that wasn't like the main55:27thing. It was just like, how do we get55:29this information out there? At least on55:31my end. and and I saw that jump and I'm55:34just like, dude, this is so cool.55:36Amazing team members, you guys, and just55:38like your brains, but being able to like55:40put it all together and then actively go55:43against or actively go and move towards55:46that one goal was such a cool thing.55:48>> Yes.55:49>> You know, it's crazy. It was55:50>> And it kind of goes back to what you're55:51saying, right? Like when people hit you55:53up for personal help, you're kind of55:54helping them with their identity and55:56they're able to shed habits that55:59wouldn't necessarily allow them to level56:01up or hear another teammate properly or,56:03you know, put them put themselves in56:05another person's shoes.56:06>> But when you are able to help them56:09overcome those things, it's like the56:10outcome is56:12>> more peace.56:13>> Oh, whatever that person said to me56:14doesn't bother me as much or I56:16understand them better and then56:17everything moves forward. Yeah, this56:19couple I was so I was walking to the CVS56:21out here and I was getting a56:22prescription and they like I just heard56:25Johnny Chang, right? And I was like,56:27"What the heck?" And I was like walking56:28in the alleyway so I was like extra like56:30what the hell? And they this guy pulls56:32up and it's a a Hispanic guy and his and56:34his wife and he's he's like, you know,56:36saying all the quotes that I say, man,56:38don't trust your thoughts. I learned56:39these things from you and we're better56:41off because of this. And I was like56:43really shocked to like hear that because56:45how you're sitting here and you don't56:47know these I don't know these people.56:49>> Yeah.56:50>> And so they come up to me and they're56:51like, "Johnny, bro, you changed our56:54lives. We're closer to God because of56:57you." And I'm56:59>> again not knowing who these people are,57:01but they're like knowing everything57:03about me.57:04>> So it was just like57:05>> I don't know how to explain it, but it57:07was really cool to see, but also almost57:09bizarre. like, "Yo, this is nuts, bro.57:12You know my name and you call me by my57:14name." And it's like,57:15>> and and I could see they're like, "We're57:17trying to come to your live events. We57:18saw the Baptize Arizona thing. Like,57:20could you do one in LA?" Like, "Yes, we57:22were baptized, but we want to get57:23baptized, but you and I'm just like,57:25dang, you don't even need to get57:26baptized again, you know?" But it it's57:28this gratitude from just us pumping57:32content. They're in that 83 million57:34reach, right? And so it's just so it's57:37just amazing when you're when you're57:38putting the kingdom first. Matthew 6:3357:41says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of57:42heaven and all else will be added unto57:44you." It really is true. Like if you57:47just focus on helping and like helping57:50others by pushing the gospel, things57:52just align for us so much. It wasn't57:55like we're trying to hit 83,000. It57:57wasn't like we're like, "This month,57:59guys, we're going to do 60 mil, whatever58:01it is." Like,58:02>> but man, we're we if we stay on this58:05track, we pretty much will reach a58:07billion people every year. Like year58:09over year, and mind you, that's just a58:12year and like eight months into this.58:14Imagine 5 years into this, like what58:17we're going to be reaching and who we're58:19going to hit. You know, it's going to be58:20a worldwide global. We already kind of58:22are, but it's like it's just going to58:24mega mega multiply. Yeah.58:27>> And I I mean, I might as well seat it58:29again. And it's like the app is going to58:31be crazy because it's like all those58:32things, right? Someone has to watch a58:34clip, then they have to go and we have58:35certain tools they have to go to your58:36website, dig around, but this is just58:38going to like58:39>> feed them what they should do every day.58:41Yeah.58:41>> And it's not hard.58:43>> Yeah.58:43>> So, I'm really excited to see58:45>> because I do notice that, right? We see58:47a lot of the annoying internet troll58:48comments and you know, a lot of the58:50people that also do support us, it's58:52more positive than negative, but there's58:54a lot of people that are getting changed58:55like this couple that never comment. You58:57know what I'm saying? So, it's always58:59cool to me when we show up to an event59:01and I see thousands of people and I'm59:04just like, whoa, like look at how many59:06people in this city have been affected59:08by the message that have stuck with the59:10community that have had their lives59:12changed like I have, like Aaron has. You59:14know, it's like59:15>> the impact is it just makes this all59:17worth it. So,59:18>> yeah. And speaking of the app, I I think59:21that's the one thing that that he kind59:23of mentioned was like not a habitual59:26thing, but he was saying, "We always59:28come and listen to you. We're always59:30searching. We're always growing." Like59:32the way you he he his exact words59:34verbatim was, "We've listened to other59:36preachers, but when we listen to you, it59:39just makes everything simple. You make59:41everything simple and digestible." And59:43I've heard that like hundreds of times,59:45thousands of times from people. And I59:47think the app is why it's so powerful is59:49because I started to think like why am I59:51making this app? Sure, preaching the59:53gospel, but I could preach without the59:55go without the app, right? What is it59:57that I'm doing? And then I realized59:58something. The reason why I'm able to1:00:01articulate and simplify things was1:00:03because I literally just spent time with1:00:05God every single day. I made God a habit1:00:08in my life genuinely. And so I want real1:00:11relationships with people. And the only1:00:13way to make to have a true real1:00:16relationship is to make God a habit in1:00:18your life. Is to make it a habit in your1:00:20life. I'm going to visit them. I'm going1:00:21to talk to them. I'm going to text them.1:00:23You may not think so, but when you're1:00:25texting somebody you care about every1:00:26single day, that's an habitual thing.1:00:28You're going to text them whenever1:00:29you're free. You're going to It's so1:00:31cool. So, I didn't even think about it1:00:33like that. I was just like, "Yeah, the1:00:34app is cool. It'll reach people. That's1:00:36great. But I I don't have to do social1:00:39media. I can literally do what I used to1:00:40do. jump in the prisons and just preach1:00:43seven days a week if I want to. Any1:00:45prison will open up to me. But at the1:00:47same time, I'm like, man,1:00:49how can I make pe make it a habit? And I1:00:51used to not understand why people like I1:00:54would just make it very surface level.1:00:56One time there was a guy I'll share a1:00:58story. There's a guy who was pissed. I1:01:00was at Lancaster State Prison. Um I had1:01:02gotten sick for like two weeks, so I1:01:04didn't come. And this was after our1:01:0616week program. I think we're on the1:01:0814th week. And that last week I came was1:01:11graduation week for them. And the the1:01:14dude who's an African-American dude,1:01:15he's like, "Yo, Johnny, like I I got I1:01:17got to holler at you about something."1:01:18And he had this energy of like, "I got1:01:20to talk to you about something." And I'm1:01:22like, "All right." He's like, "Yo, man.1:01:23How come you didn't come these last two1:01:25weeks, bro?"1:01:25>> A.1:01:26>> And I was like, and at first I felt like1:01:29he got at me foul, right? Cuz I want1:01:30again, I was thinking about myself and1:01:32I'm like, "Because I was sick. Did you1:01:35Did you not hear?" Right? Which they1:01:37didn't tell him why. you know, they just1:01:39were, this was on on the Deacons, but1:01:41they were basically saying, "Yeah, it's1:01:42okay. Like, Johnny will be back." But I1:01:45started to realize what he said, which1:01:47then made me think about the app, was he1:01:50goes, "I need this, bro. I don't know1:01:54how else to get in the Bible." And like,1:01:57when I read the Bible on my own, he1:01:58said, "I feel resistance. I feel1:02:01condemned." But then the same verses1:02:03that I read, you'll talk about and it'll1:02:06make me feel happy and hopeful. It'll1:02:08give me the unlock. And so I need that.1:02:11I need that. And I started to realize1:02:13that was his thing. He would show up1:02:15early. He would sit in the chairs. He1:02:18would try to catch me when it's1:02:19possible. He would tell the co, "Hey co,1:02:20can I get in real quick and talk to1:02:22Johnny?" Like cos would come up to me.1:02:23Johnny, is it cool? Let them in. It's1:02:25okay. And and then I I I recognized that1:02:28people are so1:02:32they're so hungry and and they would1:02:35like to to just have the real gospel1:02:38presented in the way that we present it,1:02:40right? Aside from all the trolls, that's1:02:42only like 5%, right? 95% of these1:02:45people, and you guys know who you are,1:02:46you're sitting there going, "Man, I1:02:48appreciate the gospel. I appreciate the1:02:50way it's laced down. I appreciate the1:02:51way I appreciate the way that Johnny1:02:53kind of delivers that." And so I think1:02:55the app is going to multiply that by1:02:58crazy where you're literally sitting1:03:00there. You have the gospel bot where we1:03:02I put all of my teachings into it and1:03:05it's going to answer you 24/7 literally.1:03:08And then at the same time, we have the1:03:10daily devotionals where it's a it's a1:03:12habit where you're going to have to read1:03:13it every single morning. I'll write1:03:14them. It's up to you guys obviously to1:03:16read it, but we'll send it every single1:03:18morning. Even now, like I I I'll get the1:03:20the notification. It's like daily1:03:22devotional in this morning. I'm like,1:03:23whoa. going out and I start to even read1:03:25my own and go, "Oh man, I wrote about1:03:27>> this guy's so smart. He's so know so1:03:29much about this."1:03:30>> I was like, "This guy's a copycat."1:03:33>> No, but it was I started to see like1:03:36that's what it was. Pastor Kim at the1:03:38foundational level was making spiritual1:03:41life a habit for me. Get up in the1:03:44morning 4:00 a.m. I don't want to get up1:03:45at 4. Okay, just try it. Little by1:03:48little, I started to develop these1:03:50things and I'm like, yo, that's what's1:03:51missing is application,1:03:54habitual application and habitual1:03:57practicality. Literally, that's all it1:04:00is. And and and anybody can can become1:04:02just greater by doing that. You practice1:04:04something enough, you become good at it.1:04:06That's just how it is. And we're1:04:08literally taking that that thing and1:04:10applying it to SP. It works for1:04:12everything else. Why not spiritual life?1:04:14It's just how it is.1:04:16It's also interesting because now Israel1:04:18lives in the church1:04:19>> and again it's like very similar. He was1:04:22like dude it was so tough but now he's1:04:24like he's just a completely different1:04:25person.1:04:26>> He walks around with this like smile on1:04:28his face and he's just so happy even1:04:30when he's getting chastised he's happy1:04:32cuz it reveals things about him1:04:34>> and even when he's like also like he1:04:37kind of went through the same thing1:04:38where he was just trying to be good and1:04:39be perfect in the program and and then1:04:41you realize that's not what even Pastor1:04:43Kim wants. Yeah. It's such a strange1:04:45It's just like the system works.1:04:47>> Yeah, it works, man.1:04:48>> Yeah. I mean, it's kind of like a good1:04:50foray. We're talking about bad habits1:04:52and good habits1:04:53>> and it's like setting up your1:04:54environment in a lot of ways. And I1:04:56think that the world we live in today,1:04:57it's very hard to fall into a bad habit1:04:59because they make bad habits easy.1:05:02>> So,1:05:02>> true.1:05:03>> I think that if I could give one piece1:05:05of advice to people out there, it's like1:05:06if you literally are struggling with1:05:08something, you have to just create the1:05:10environment for it for it. You can't say1:05:12that you want to quit eating junk food1:05:13and you still have it in your house.1:05:15It's just not like you're just going to1:05:16cave to it. I am that way, you know.1:05:19>> Who are you talking to?1:05:21>> Myself.1:05:22>> You weren't referring to anyone here.1:05:24>> Yeah.1:05:24>> No, no, no. I genuinely was talking1:05:25about myself.1:05:27>> I'll be honest. I I went to Whole Foods1:05:30the other day cuz I was like, I need to1:05:31get more Greek yogurt and fruit. And1:05:33then I was like, oo, new ice cream1:05:34flavors. I bought two of them. And I was1:05:36like, and then I was like, I was like,1:05:38"Oh, I'm going to save these for when I1:05:39can eat like have a little bit." But1:05:41then I was like, I got home and I was1:05:43like,1:05:44>> you know, I worked out today and I1:05:46didn't eat. I didn't eat.1:05:48>> It's always the justification.1:05:49>> No, I didn't eat bad. And I was like, I1:05:50just want to taste the top of each one.1:05:53I'm just going to eat the top.1:05:54>> I ate half of I basically ate a pint. I1:05:56ate half of each one and then I was1:05:58disgusted with myself.1:06:01W self-control. You know where you1:06:03messed up the most though in in that1:06:05>> buying it.1:06:06>> No, not telling me and having me share1:06:08with you.1:06:09>> Yeah,1:06:11>> Johnny cleared it.1:06:13>> Cleared both of them.1:06:14>> But you know what's funny? I was like,1:06:15"I'm just going to eat the top of one."1:06:17And I ate half a pint of it and I was1:06:18like, "Oh my gosh." And I sealed it up1:06:20and I literally sat back on the couch. I1:06:22was like, "I can't believe I did that."1:06:24And then I was like, "Let me just have1:06:26one scoop of the new one." And I ate1:06:28half of that.1:06:29>> This bro needs daily. I knew I knew.1:06:32>> You knew what you were. Also, when I was1:06:34in the grocery store, I bought all the1:06:36healthy stuff and I could go cut1:06:38straight to the aisle and I was like, I1:06:40just want to do a lap. And then I went1:06:42by the ice creams and the chocolates and1:06:45I was like, "Oo,1:06:46>> I got to put you on one of those1:06:47children's leashes."1:06:48>> Yeah,1:06:49>> dude. But sometimes if I don't have a1:06:51sweets in my house, I literally be1:06:53walking around. I I pace. I'm like, I1:06:55just want something sweet.1:06:58You should just replace your vices with1:07:00another one like smoking1:07:03>> or meth.1:07:04>> Hey, you know, you know what Aaron did1:07:06expertly? He veered off the conversation1:07:09and he never answered the question.1:07:11>> Oh,1:07:12got him. Watching him like a hawk.1:07:15>> Yeah.1:07:17Wonder how that happened.1:07:19H if my worst habit is is being a1:07:23smoker, smoking, being a potad, smoking1:07:25too much weed.1:07:26>> Did you fully quit vape though?1:07:28>> Uh after my last breakup, I I don't I1:07:31quit dab pens.1:07:33>> Yeah. Good. Good. But I have never seen1:07:34you with a vape.1:07:36>> Like when I'm around my friends and my1:07:37sister, like sometimes I'll1:07:38>> You'll sneak But you're not buying them.1:07:40>> Well, I mean when I1:07:42>> Okay, look. We're digging the hole.1:07:43>> Hey, listen. I'm an honest guy. Okay.1:07:46>> Um1:07:46>> what do you say about that when they go1:07:48I'm just being honest? an excuse. It was1:07:50justifications. I was like, "Well, I'm1:07:51sad. I went through a breakup. This is1:07:53just easy. I don't usually do this."1:07:54Just one time was like me like1:07:55justifying like I can cop out. I can do1:07:57this. It's not that crazy. I'm doing so1:07:59good on so many other things that this1:08:01ain't that serious. And then I just got1:08:02totally stuck into it again. But hey,1:08:05that's part of it. But I don't know what1:08:06lie about myself that that it's hiding1:08:09necessarily my bad habit. Probably a lot1:08:10of lies. Just the lie that that I'm1:08:13happy half the time. Like1:08:15>> I'll just chill out instead. I'd be1:08:16like, "Yeah, I'm chilling." But it's1:08:18like if I didn't suck that, I'd have to1:08:19face like all of the actual things I'm1:08:21not happy about or waiting or just all1:08:23the cans that I'm kicking down the road.1:08:24I mean, I don't need to actually list1:08:26the real lies, but I think that's what1:08:27my bad habits hide is like1:08:29>> the things I avoid cuz I just push it1:08:31off. I'll smoke and then I'll even have1:08:33social anxiety. I'm like, I can't even1:08:34believe I was about to confront that.1:08:36I'm like, no, let me not do that. Um,1:08:39but yeah,1:08:40>> I think it's good that people1:08:42acknowledge though, like like I said,1:08:44certain people don't even get to that1:08:46position where they they know that1:08:49they're trying to justify, right? A lot1:08:52of people are like they believe that1:08:54they're justified. Like, no, but it's1:08:56true.1:08:57>> Whereas we know that even though we're1:08:59trying to justify it,1:09:01>> it's just not. Yeah, it's not true. Are1:09:04bad habits or some bad habits a luxury?1:09:07Like for example, you wouldn't smoke if1:09:09you had lung cancer. You wouldn't eat1:09:10junk food if it's literally going to1:09:12kill you tomorrow. You know what I'm1:09:13saying? Like do you1:09:15>> is it a lot of sense like you can have1:09:17these bad hab you would go to work if1:09:19you're literally going to be foreclosed.1:09:21you know, you wouldn't skip work or sit1:09:23on your your butt. Because I think about1:09:24a lot of things, too, and maybe God did1:09:26this to me on purpose because he knew I1:09:28would just be a degenerate, is that like1:09:30I couldn't do certain things that1:09:31everyone else could do because I didn't1:09:33have the money or I would literally not1:09:36survive. So, I had to work multiple1:09:38jobs.1:09:39>> So crazy1:09:40>> things like that, you know. So, so like1:09:42is our our bad habits a luxury?1:09:44>> Yeah, I think so. I think to an extent.1:09:47I think also certain bad habits are just1:09:49people who can't get out of it too. Like1:09:51it's a like a trap. Like for real,1:09:54certain people I think like like if1:09:57you're addicted to something for real,1:09:59it's it's you're now having like1:10:01chemical imbalances where you ever see1:10:04people come down from like heroin and1:10:06it's bad. You you literally get sick1:10:09when you get off of it versus like you1:10:11you almost seem healthy when they're on1:10:13it, right? So1:10:14>> I think it depends. But yeah, for the1:10:16most part, I think so. I think habits1:10:19are bad habits specifically, I think any1:10:22habit is a luxury if you actually think1:10:24about it. Even good habits, like if I1:10:26sit here and I want to work out, I need1:10:28to have money to buy a gym membership,1:10:31>> right? Habitually speaking, like you1:10:32>> not necessarily. You were in a prison1:10:34cell.1:10:36>> I'm done.1:10:36>> Stop lying to yourself.1:10:37>> I'm done here.1:10:38>> You're doing 300. You told me in the1:10:40morning you do 300 burpees a day.1:10:41>> But I would be limited to calisthenics,1:10:43you fool. If I want to look like Hard1:10:46and I got to bodybuild and lift weights,1:10:48I can't just be carrying, you know,1:10:50paper bags full of water. They're water1:10:52bags, by the way. Do that.1:10:54>> Um, or I squat another man. Oz.1:10:57>> So resourceful. Um, so, so you're saying1:11:00like a good habit, you know?1:11:01>> Yeah. I feel like good habit, any habit1:11:03that anything is like, okay, it comes1:11:05back to grace, obviously. So,1:11:09yeah, to have a bad habit low-key is1:11:10grace, too. I thought about that cuz1:11:13look,1:11:14>> certain bad habits made you fall1:11:17>> and then turned you back to God,1:11:20>> right?1:11:21>> If you think about it, for me at least,1:11:23my bad habit was again thinking that I1:11:26could do everything.1:11:27>> And then in the end, I realized I can't1:11:30do anything. my my bad I guess a bad1:11:32habit for me was again like thinking1:11:35that I could I don't know if it's if you1:11:37call it a bad habit but it's like I1:11:39could plan everything that and and I1:11:41could control everything. So I would go1:11:44back to this control freak mindset where1:11:47I I oh if I put my mind to it I can do1:11:49it and constantly trusting myself and1:11:51then in the end that led me to God to go1:11:54oh you think so okay how is everything1:11:56working out and I had to like take a1:11:57telescopic view and be like oh my gosh I1:12:01suck. Literally everything has failed in1:12:04my life and I can't believe it. I can't1:12:06believe that happened.1:12:09>> Yeah. How many people do you think are1:12:12out there that are like, "Johnny, I've1:12:13have this habit and I I know I don't1:12:16want it and I pray and I pray and I pray1:12:19and it and it's it's so bad, but are you1:12:22really telling me that God wants me to1:12:24have this for the rest of my life?" I1:12:26don't know if God wants you to have it1:12:27for the rest of your life. I do know1:12:29that there are stories in the Bible like1:12:30Paul who had a thorn on his side and he1:12:34had it until he died and he went to God1:12:35three times. certain things1:12:40keep you grounded.1:12:42I think for me when I I think a bad1:12:46habit of mine is is rumination where1:12:48I'll think back to a lot of things I1:12:49could have done better. But that's what1:12:53keeps me close to God because every time1:12:55my mind starts to drift to the past,1:12:57I'll think of Isaiah 43:16-19.1:13:00I'll think of verses that say like that,1:13:02do not think about the things of the1:13:04past or the former things. and basically1:13:07look to the future.1:13:09It's just it's such a double-edged1:13:11sword, right? I want to be cautious here1:13:14because I don't want people to think,1:13:16"Yeah, so I can have my corn addiction1:13:19and this is what's keeping me close to1:13:21God." But I also don't want you guys to1:13:23condemn and go, "Wow, I'm I'm less than1:13:26because of this." Sure, you can be less1:13:29than, but in the eyes of God, that is1:13:31exactly what's keeping you close to him.1:13:33I know some pastors, like I say, who1:13:35will admit that and say, "Man, I1:13:38struggle with it." And their sermons1:13:40will be based off of them struggling.1:13:42And they're the ones that most people1:13:44gravitate towards because they don't1:13:46look like the goody two shoes. They1:13:47don't look like the suited and booted1:13:49pastor from seminary school who never1:13:51falls, who's super strong and1:13:54understands. Rather, they're more1:13:56relatable and they're just commendable1:13:59in that way where it's like, "Man, I1:14:01can't go to another pastor. I have to go1:14:03to you cuz you get it. So, it's it's1:14:06very different. I think Romans 8:28 sums1:14:10it all up where good habit, bad habit,1:14:12whatever it is, all of it is working for1:14:15the greater good to those who love God.1:14:17The intention of your heart has to be1:14:19real and it has to be true. And what I1:14:21mean by that is God knows and we know1:14:25too whether or not our habit is being1:14:28accessorized, if it's being enabled, if1:14:31it's something we hide behind. Even if1:14:34you're like that, you don't have to1:14:35change it, but you do have to bring it1:14:37to God who will change it. And so that's1:14:39the most important thing is are we going1:14:42to acknowledge step one that we have1:14:44this thing? And what does how does God1:14:46see it? Not what you see, not what your1:14:48mom sees, not what your spouse see. What1:14:50does God say about this? What does he1:14:52see about this? And we should spend,1:14:54even if we spend all our lives figuring1:14:56that out. I think God honors that more1:14:59than you just kind of sweeping it under1:15:01the rug to then sit there and go, I'm1:15:03only I'm going to do this because I1:15:07don't I just I don't want to move out of1:15:09this. Like I I want to stay in this1:15:10position because it feels good. You can1:15:12feel good. Bad habits are are bad and1:15:16they're hard because they genuinely feel1:15:18good. Like sin, I would argue feels1:15:20good. It that's why people struggle so1:15:23much with it is because it's hard to1:15:25kick. Addiction feels bad after, but in1:15:28the moment of it, it feels great. That's1:15:30just how it is. But at the same time, we1:15:32have to really think about it. We have1:15:34to go, okay, this feels good to me, but1:15:37what about God? What does God think1:15:38about these things? And I think that is1:15:41a small step, but it's huge1:15:43>> in that it it it shifts1:15:46>> at the very least the burden away from1:15:48you. And to think about, okay, God, you1:15:50see me. What can I do? It's much better1:15:52than going, I'mma do whatever I want.1:15:54Like, it's cool, right? I rather people1:15:56struggle and go, you know what, God, I1:15:59struggle and I acknowledge the struggle1:16:00and I even acknowledge that I like it.1:16:03>> But what do you think about this? I1:16:05think too many people don't get to that1:16:07position. God is not surprised by your1:16:10addiction. He It's not like he and he1:16:12can't he's not overwhelmed by it either.1:16:14He's not overwhelmed by your bad habits,1:16:16100%. But there's something that he's1:16:18allowing you to see. And it's not just1:16:21as simple as free will because he can1:16:23explain that without you being caught up1:16:25in an addiction or having a bad habit.1:16:27There's something and I and I believe1:16:29that's something at least in my1:16:30experience is going to him. Hey, I'm1:16:33using this so you can come to me, not1:16:35just indulge in it. basically. So yeah,1:16:38we're hiring, guys. Core of the Heart is1:16:40hiring. But listen carefully. We're not1:16:42just building a company. We're building1:16:44one of the fastest growing Christian1:16:45communities in the world. In just a year1:16:47and a half, this community has grown to1:16:49over 3 million strong. And we're nowhere1:16:51near done.1:16:52>> Our mission is simple but massive. To1:16:53build the best tools and resources to1:16:55help anyone in the world get closer to1:16:57God.1:16:58>> Our first immediate goal is to get a 1001:17:00million people into heaven. So when we1:17:01say we're hiring, understand this. We're1:17:04not looking for employees. We're looking1:17:05for missiondriven A players that want to1:17:07change the world.1:17:08>> Our criteria is simple. Don't show us1:17:09what you could do. Show us what you've1:17:11already mastered. Like, if you want to1:17:12be the short form editor, show me the1:17:14millions of views you've gotten on short1:17:15form. If you want to be the podcast1:17:17producer, show me the shows that you've1:17:19successfully produced. We've learned the1:17:20hard way not to hire off potential. We1:17:22just want to hire off of peer1:17:23experience. People who have already1:17:24proven that they can perform at their1:17:26skill set at the highest level. We have1:17:28jobs available in many different1:17:29departments, media and content, live1:17:32events, and marketing. We also have1:17:33remote jobs and LA based jobs available.1:17:36If you're an A player that has mastered1:17:37their craft and wants to do something1:17:39that glorifies God, then please head to1:17:41the link in our description and check1:17:42out the job board. And lastly, if you're1:17:44an absolute beast at something and you1:17:46don't see it on the job board, please1:17:47reach out. I mean, you know, you might1:17:49be able to do it for us. It might work1:17:50out. So, if you're amazing at something,1:17:52you don't see the perfect job1:17:53description, just reach out. Tell us1:17:54what you're good at. Maybe it'll work.1:17:55>> Genuinely, I can't do this without a1:17:57team. So, I'm very thankful for anyone1:17:59who supports the mission. I look forward1:18:01to hearing from you guys.1:18:02>> Okay. I rushed through this earlier, but1:18:05I'm so excited because after service is1:18:07finally coming back. We're going to so1:18:08many places and it's about to kick off.1:18:11Yeah. So, so1:18:12>> what is after service?1:18:13>> After service is free live events. This1:18:15is where Johnny1:18:16>> free1:18:17>> right there. He preaches a sermon,1:18:19>> answers Q&As's from the audience. People1:18:22come early to hang out. They stay1:18:24afterwards. They hang out. It's like1:18:25where you all those people in the group1:18:27chats and in the comment section. You1:18:29meet them in real life. So, it's I think1:18:31it's really cool that we're able to do1:18:33these because again, yeah, you just get1:18:35to meet the community. Makes you feel1:18:37>> Where are we going?1:18:38>> Bay Area,1:18:38>> San Jose and either San Francisco or1:18:40Oakland as the second city. So, two1:18:42cities in the Bay Area.1:18:43>> TBD. TBD.1:18:44>> Probably second half of May, we're still1:18:46figuring out churches. If you actually1:18:48work, if you work for a church that has1:18:50a thousand plus seats, hit us up. And1:18:53you got live streaming capabilities.1:18:54That's all we need.1:18:55>> Yep.1:18:56>> Hit us up. Work with us. Come on.1:18:58>> And that's anywhere. that's in any city1:18:59or town. Like if you guys work for or1:19:02run a church with a good amount of seats1:19:04and all the capabilities, please reach1:19:05out cuz that's like a huge factor as to1:19:07where we'll go. Like genuinely, if1:19:08you're like, I really want Johnny to1:19:09come to my church, go talk to whoever1:19:11runs it. If the if it's has a1:19:13appropriate size and all the1:19:14capabilities,1:19:15>> that's like a 50% chance we'll literally1:19:17show up.1:19:18>> And here's the thing. When you do ask1:19:20your church, the thing that this is1:19:22about their benefit, right? Number one,1:19:24we've seen even for Victory Outreach in1:19:26Arizona, there's been members that have1:19:28stayed at that church right since then.1:19:30So, if you're a church and we're doing1:19:32the outreach for you, a lot of Johnny's1:19:34audience is baby Christians, people that1:19:35are curious about faith. So, if they1:19:37have a good experience at your church,1:19:39there's a high chance that they might1:19:41come back. So, we're doing all that free1:19:42outreach for you. Just got to give us1:19:44your building for a couple hours.1:19:46>> I I just have to address this like1:19:48people who are like, "You're a heretic."1:19:50Like, okay, so what if I bring the1:19:52people to the church and then you1:19:53influence them correctly through the1:19:55doctrine? Like, do you just throw them1:19:57away because they follow me and and then1:20:00we just leave them alone? Like, that's1:20:01what I don't understand about certain1:20:03pastors, you know? It's like they're too1:20:04much on an island and I have have to1:20:06call it out. It's like, no, I don't like1:20:09you and everyone that you the sheep that1:20:10you bring. It's like, yeah, but they're1:20:12not specifically just there for me. They1:20:14they are in your community looking for a1:20:16church. Hello. Like if you care about1:20:18the kingdom,1:20:20>> it's all going to one bank account,1:20:22which is a spiritual bank account of1:20:23Jesus Christ. And so why not, right? But1:20:26people just it's it just mindb boggles1:20:29me.1:20:29>> Don't make sense. Shared bank account1:20:31makes sense. Literally1:20:32>> Johnny's an authorized user.1:20:34>> Yeah. Swipe.1:20:36>> Just kidding. Um yeah. So Bay Area is1:20:39coming and then I think this is a very1:20:41special announcement.1:20:43>> Europa first technologia technology.1:20:48It's the first time we're going and1:20:50bringing after service to Europe, guys.1:20:53Let's go. I'm I'm literally like1:20:56shocked. So, we're going to the UK.1:20:58Yeah.1:21:00>> We're not even going to the UK.1:21:01>> Yes, we are. Is1:21:02>> Sweden in the UK?1:21:03>> Amsterdam and Sweden are in the1:21:05>> No, they're not. That's how you have to1:21:06have confidence, though. I was like,1:21:08Yeah. Oh, never mind.1:21:09>> Yeah. Yeah. Dude, I was ready to fold. I1:21:11was like, damn, I'm so stupid.1:21:12>> No, but isn't Amsterdam in the UK? No,1:21:15it's in the EU. Europe is different1:21:18>> than the UK.1:21:19>> Okay. Well,1:21:20>> Great Britain.1:21:20>> Hey, don't blame your GED. I'm not one1:21:22of those educated, you know, Asians.1:21:24>> Yeah.1:21:25>> Brexit.1:21:26>> Brexit. Oh, yeah. Yeah. The British1:21:28exit.1:21:29>> Mhm.1:21:29>> Yeah.1:21:30>> But Amsterdam, Sweden, June,1:21:33>> June 4th to the 7th, guys. We'll be in1:21:36Amsterdam. Well, we'll be in Sweden1:21:38first and then Amsterdy1:21:41will be in Dam Square. If you guys know1:21:43who I'm talking about, Dam Square is1:21:45open air amazing place. So yeah,1:21:48>> you can't text in because our phone1:21:50number is only for US and Canada. So we1:21:52there's a little link in the description1:21:54of this video in our link in bio,1:21:56whatever it is or or by this time the1:21:59app is out. Just download the app and1:22:01we're going to push information that1:22:03way.1:22:03>> Yes, guys. Yes.1:22:05>> And all these events are free.1:22:07>> All of them are free. even the ones1:22:09where we're flying 16 hours to go to1:22:11Amsterdam.1:22:12>> We have no idea if you have any fans.1:22:14I'm sure there's going to be 10 people.1:22:17>> But I wonder if it's hundreds or how1:22:18many people out there listen to Johnny.1:22:20>> I don't know.1:22:22>> Um all right. Anyways, so yeah, after1:22:24service coming back and then we're going1:22:25to try to go to Chicago in1:22:27>> Yeah, going to Chicago in July, guys.1:22:30Chicago is my hometown. I'm from1:22:32Chicago. It's the best. It's the best.1:22:34>> We're going to have a portillo's eating1:22:36contest. Oh my god.1:22:38>> We actually are going to do that. I want1:22:39everyone after after service. You know1:22:40how we always go get food like nasty1:22:42tacos or something? That's where we're1:22:43going. It's Portillos. Also, not that1:22:46the tacos in San Diego are nasty.1:22:47They're the best nasty tacos in the1:22:49world.1:22:49>> They're not nasty at all.1:22:51>> Um but yeah, Chicago's the best. We made1:22:52sure to go in the summer cuz no one1:22:54wants to go out in the winter. So, we'll1:22:55be in Chicago. It'll be beautiful.1:22:57>> Beautiful.1:22:58>> Anyways, we're hitting the road again.1:23:01There's a lot of amazing things. If1:23:03you've been beta testing the app, we're1:23:04very grateful for you. Yeah,1:23:06>> we're going to improve it heavily. And1:23:08now I got a silly question.1:23:09>> Wait, real quick though. If you guys do1:23:12have churches that we in cities that we1:23:14didn't mention, we have a host forum as1:23:17well. And if you guys know the churches,1:23:19we're not saying suggestions like, oh, I1:23:21know a church. No, like you have to be1:23:24in it like you have connections to it1:23:27and you guys want us to come like I said1:23:29thousand people capacity. Let us know1:23:32and fill out that that form link in the1:23:34description. And if your church is down,1:23:35literally we'll come. Like everyone1:23:37thinks like, "I want Johnny to come to1:23:38my city so bad." Like literally go talk1:23:40to whoever runs your church. Show them1:23:42the past videos. If your church holds1:23:44over a thousand people, have them reach1:23:45out to us. It's very simple. Our emails1:23:47in the description. We will there's it's1:23:50it's really likely that we will straight1:23:52up come. Johnny will straight up come to1:23:54your church.1:23:54>> I'll show up like with my little like1:23:57knapsack1:23:58>> stick on stick and be a handkerchief.1:24:00I'm like,1:24:00>> here to preach the gospel. We'll sleep1:24:02at your house. sleep at your house.1:24:04>> Yeah, dude. Don't do that. That would1:24:06actually boost it. People be like,1:24:07"Yeah, come to my house."1:24:10>> Well, me and Aaron also have to come,1:24:12too. So, keep that in mind. Um, all1:24:15right. I have one silly question. Okay.1:24:18>> Okay.1:24:18>> So, do you guys know who Malibu Fit is?1:24:20>> Yes, you do know Malibu. Okay,1:24:22>> I'm up to date.1:24:23>> Okay. So, Malibu Fit is this guy and he1:24:25looks weird. His upper his upper lip1:24:28doesn't move when he talks.1:24:30Anyways, so Malibu Fit, he's like kind1:24:34of like a bodybuilder, personal trainer1:24:36dude, and he blew up literally one1:24:38million followers on TikTok in two1:24:40weeks.1:24:41>> Wow.1:24:41>> And it started off because people were1:24:43first clowning him on his looks and then1:24:46he revealed, "Hey, I I served in the1:24:49Marines or something and I1:24:51>> I for your service, bro."1:24:52>> And I got hit with an IUD, so I had to1:24:55get plastic surgery to fix my face.1:24:57That's that that's my light touch.1:24:59>> It's an IED.1:25:01>> IED. What's1:25:02>> IUD?1:25:04>> I didn't catch that either. I'm like,1:25:09>> he got hit with a UTI. It's like what?1:25:12>> Jeremy.1:25:13>> I You guys don't know what to look that1:25:17up on your own.1:25:17>> Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.1:25:19>> You're just getting you're like it's1:25:20worse by by the by the minute.1:25:23>> No, it's not.1:25:23>> You need to chill.1:25:24>> No, it's not. Let me just get1:25:26>> I do not endorse this message.1:25:28>> So he got hit with an IED and so that's1:25:31why his face looks a certain way and so1:25:33but so then he so at first people were1:25:36he was first like a joke but then1:25:38because of his positivity he's like a1:25:40trainer. He's like a super positive guy.1:25:42He just kind of films like him in real1:25:44life training at the gym about his life1:25:46trying to get people healthy.1:25:47>> Yeah. He's super positive. So it flipped1:25:49and he had a huge audience. But then it1:25:53was discovered that he lied about the1:25:55IED. He served in the Marines, but he1:25:59didn't get hit with an ID.1:26:00>> So then what was it then?1:26:01>> Well, nothing. He just got plastic1:26:03surgery on his face for whatever1:26:04reasons. Maybe he was self-conscious1:26:06about himself.1:26:06>> Yeah. He's saying he got bullied for1:26:08being ugly his entire life and then he1:26:10basically the comments online were1:26:11getting so atrocious. This was 10 years1:26:13ago, so he's been doing content for a1:26:14long time. He's just having his moment.1:26:16Yeah,1:26:16>> but the comments were all so mean that1:26:18in a point of vulnerability, he just1:26:20lied and said, "I I got blown up by an1:26:22IED and you guys are all just jerks."1:26:24Just like kind of flip it to them.1:26:26>> But but but I will say because of the1:26:28IED thing, people turned and they're1:26:30like, "Wow, this guy's so positive. He1:26:32went through something so difficult and1:26:33look at how positive he is and he's1:26:35helping all these people." And so that1:26:36also built him up to where he was. And1:26:38then most recently, he was like, "Hey,1:26:40he explained it. Hey, I lied." But1:26:42>> cuz he got exposed. He got called out by1:26:44someone who1:26:45>> so he didn't so he didn't just come out1:26:47and say it. Someone exposed him and then1:26:48he came out. That's why a lot of people1:26:51>> I think that's why people trip. Okay.1:26:53But here's my question.1:26:54>> If you told a lie that helped you help1:26:56people,1:26:57>> what should the outcome be?1:26:59>> Damn, that's crazy.1:27:01>> For example, if I say that I'm 510 on a1:27:05dating app just to get more girls, but1:27:08I'm only 5'8.1:27:10>> That's not good cuz you're benefiting1:27:12yourself. Yeah.1:27:13>> And the girl because she finally gets to1:27:14meet up with this amazing guy.1:27:16>> Was this person benefiting themselves?1:27:19>> No. No. Well,1:27:21>> totally completely.1:27:23>> Would you think so? Right.1:27:24>> 100%.1:27:24>> Okay. Sure. He's getting views and1:27:26things like that, but I'm saying he's1:27:27also avoiding hate. His page turned into1:27:29a positive thing of love and and respect1:27:31instead of just this guy is weird1:27:33looking.1:27:33>> Okay. But he wasn't.1:27:34>> But but what was his thing? Like was he1:27:37not I'm not talking about selling a1:27:38course. I'm saying1:27:39>> does he genuinely help people though?1:27:42Like1:27:42>> and I'm saying like1:27:44>> so when it comes to like the gospel1:27:46there are certain people that even in1:27:48with pastor right there's things that1:27:50they'll with they may not lie but they1:27:53withhold information1:27:55>> because it could hurt people or so is it1:27:58like that I I don't know how to so so1:28:01like is he doing that?1:28:02>> No no no. So so his he's a trainer. He's1:28:04all about fit life. So there's nothing1:28:06there's no lie about that. He's1:28:08literally filming himself with clients1:28:10at the gym. He's at the grocery store1:28:12telling you what to buy. He's talking1:28:13about his fitness experience. He's1:28:15giving you actionable advice to get1:28:16healthy. He's there's nothing he has to1:28:18lie or hide or whatever. The only lie1:28:20was purely about the IED in his face.1:28:23And he said, and that is why people1:28:25gained, like he said, it turned people1:28:26from hating to sympathy. And then1:28:28they're like, "Wow, this guy's so1:28:29positive and he's overcome so much1:28:31adversity.1:28:32>> We want to support him." And because of1:28:34that, he's not like he was ever like,1:28:36>> "Look at the millions of views I'm1:28:37getting. Buy my training course." Blah1:28:39blah blah. He just kept doing his thing1:28:41and now he was seen as a positive guy1:28:43and people respected him.1:28:44>> So that's why I'm also like he's not a1:28:47grifter per se.1:28:48>> Yeah. But it was still a lie. So1:28:50>> it was still a lie. But I'm like,1:28:51>> he he is going viral and went super1:28:55viral because he looks different and1:28:57it's very scroll stopping when someone1:28:59looks like this starts talking on your1:29:01page and people just stop and then and1:29:03then all the comments start firing off1:29:05because they go this guy's ugly and then1:29:06someone goes, "No, he survived an IED1:29:08and then it's just this constant when1:29:09they're when they're fighting in the1:29:10comments." So it would go super viral1:29:12because of curiosity, not just because1:29:14he was some amazing positive influencer1:29:15or whatever. It's like it was going1:29:17viral because of curiosity. And the lie1:29:19was1:29:19>> I think he should have just if he should1:29:22have just stayed positive even if he1:29:24didn't have the I IED1:29:26>> which is what he's doing. He apologized1:29:29and he's just making videos in a lot of1:29:31>> originally he should have never1:29:32originally he should have just been like1:29:34yeah1:29:35>> stayed right it showed it showed1:29:37weakness for sure and it's something I1:29:38don't1:29:38>> but but if he's really helping people1:29:40genuinely though right let's think about1:29:42this like1:29:44so a person is going to sympathize1:29:48let's play devil's advocate a little bit1:29:50so let's say a pathological liar goes 11:29:55plus 1 equals1:29:57Does that do we not listen to him1:29:59because he's a pathological liar? Like1:30:01do do you understand what I'm saying?1:30:03Like where where do we draw the line is1:30:06what I'm trying to say. You understand1:30:07what I'm saying? Like where would we1:30:08draw that line?1:30:10>> My other feeling too is he slipped up.1:30:12That was wrong. But he's not it's not1:30:14like he he sold something where he1:30:17benefited. Like whereas Liver King said1:30:19he was natural while he's juiced to the1:30:22gills1:30:23>> and he sold this ancestral lifestyle1:30:26when he eating liver and all this stuff1:30:28when he was selling protein bar like he1:30:29made hundreds of millions of dollars1:30:32>> off of a lie which I think is so1:30:34different.1:30:34>> True.1:30:35>> So I kind of like I give him the pass.1:30:38>> I give him1:30:39>> not that pass, just the pass. Yeah,1:30:43>> I'm I'm completely unbiased. I don't1:30:45feel one way or another.1:30:45>> Same. I I don't really care. I'm sorry.1:30:48I'm not1:30:48>> Okay, but it goes back to the Okay.1:30:49Okay. Who cares about him? Sorry, that1:30:51wasn't even I used him as an example.1:30:53>> No, no. Yeah, good example.1:30:55>> So, now No. So, now back to the1:30:56question.1:30:57>> If you told a lie, but it ended up help1:31:00if you told a lie and it helped you help1:31:01people.1:31:02>> Mhm.1:31:02>> What's what should be your what should1:31:04be the recourse?1:31:05>> Dang, that's a good question. Uh I think1:31:0810 years later you should have to1:31:09apologize for it when someone calls you1:31:10out and then you keep it pushing. That's1:31:13what happened to that guy.1:31:14>> It's only different for me because of1:31:16the gospel. So there are certain people1:31:19let's say if they're1:31:21>> if the1:31:23like I've seen Pastor Kim gain hearts.1:31:26So I learned from him a lot. But I'm1:31:28thinking like1:31:30there's times where he doesn't lie, but1:31:32he doesn't tell them the full like1:31:35>> he won't tell them exactly what it is.1:31:37And it's just like any person who would1:31:39tell somebody1:31:41only when they were ready. Does that1:31:43make sense? Like it's like withholding a1:31:45truth1:31:46>> because it's like to protect them versus1:31:50not you know now1:31:51>> you know I got the perfect story when1:31:52you told it about how your mom revealed1:31:54to the family that the the son died.1:31:56True. True, true. Ruined everything.1:31:58Okay. So, in that case, when my mom1:32:02>> I in Bible class, I told that story1:32:05>> and a lady straight up was like, "But1:32:07your mom's a liar." And I was just like,1:32:10"You right now?" Cuz it was my mom. But1:32:13basically, the story is um my granny,1:32:18she1:32:18>> got hit by a bazooka.1:32:20>> My granny got hit by a bazooka.1:32:22>> Rest in peace. Rest in peace. My granny,1:32:24she got hit by a bazooka. Sorry.1:32:27But my my granny from my dad's side. So1:32:29my mom's my dad's mom1:32:32um she was really close to my first1:32:36uncle's uh second child which is which1:32:40which passed away. So he got into this1:32:42tragic car uh uh motorcycle accident and1:32:45he basically he died. But they held the1:32:49the secret because she was old already.1:32:51She was like geriatric. So they're like1:32:53dang. and she easily stresses out like1:32:55she almost lost her life because her1:32:57husband died and he died like I think1:32:59three years or two years before this kid1:33:02died, right? And so1:33:04>> my dad and the family decided we're1:33:07going to1:33:08>> based off of protecting, you know, the1:33:10the1:33:11>> her mental health,1:33:12>> her mental health and her just her1:33:13physical health in general,1:33:15>> we're not going to, you know, uh uh tell1:33:19her. But my mom, she's she was super1:33:21Buddhist at that time and she believed1:33:23in telling the truth. She believed in1:33:25karmic debt. She believed that if you1:33:27lie to people that that you're putting1:33:28that out there and it's going to come1:33:29back to the family, whether it hits her1:33:31or us as kids or other family members.1:33:34And so she straight up told my dad,1:33:36she's like, "If she comes and she asks1:33:42me, like I'm going to tell her." And my1:33:44dad was like, "What the hell no?" And1:33:46she goes, "Then you better keep her away1:33:48from me." straight up was like gangster1:33:50with it. She's like, "You guys are wrong1:33:52for doing that. That's horrible." Blah1:33:54blah. Anyways, comes a time where my1:33:58granny does come from Korea, comes in1:34:01and stays at the place.1:34:02>> Wait, time out. You also left out the1:34:04part where the grandma would always ask1:34:06about her.1:34:06>> Oh, yeah. She comes Yeah, that's where1:34:08I'm getting to. She comes and she, you1:34:10know, stays at the house and she starts1:34:12asking1:34:13>> what's, you know, oh, his name is Holy.1:34:15Holy, why is Holy like not seeing me?1:34:18Did I do something wrong? You know,1:34:20they're saying for two years cuz they1:34:22were lying that he was in the army. So1:34:23in Korea, you're mandatory to like once1:34:26you hit 18, you have to go to the draft,1:34:28right? It's a mandatory draft for like1:34:29two years or whatever. It was like1:34:31nearing the end of it or already passed1:34:32it. And so she's like, "Why isn't he1:34:34seeing he and even when he was in the1:34:36draft, like he didn't send me a letter1:34:38like he would see me every day, blah1:34:40blah blah." So my mom, bro, she just1:34:42went gangster. She goes, she got so mad1:34:44and she goes, "You know what? Do you1:34:47want to know where Holi is and why he1:34:49hasn't sent you letters and why he1:34:51hasn't visited you? And she's like, why?1:34:53And my mom does it on the sly. She goes,1:34:56because he's where your husband is,1:34:59right? And her husband's dead,1:35:00obviously. So, she said it in that way.1:35:02And my mom said she let out my granny1:35:05let out this whale. Like I started1:35:07crying. And then I think like five or 61:35:10months later, she passed away from this.1:35:13And so the whole family blamed her. They1:35:16said she passed away from medical1:35:17complications, but she stopped eating.1:35:19She literally I I believe till this day1:35:22died of a broken heart straight up, you1:35:24know. And so from then on, the beatings1:35:26got way crazier to my mom. My dad would1:35:28beat the hell out of her. And then the1:35:30whole family basically hated her, right?1:35:33That's just what it was. That's the1:35:35truth. And so my mom for the longest1:35:39time was like I remember she would be1:35:40like, "Forget them. I told the truth.1:35:42They're just mad that I told the truth."1:35:44But when my mom received salvation, she1:35:46learned about gaining people's souls.1:35:48She learned about gaining people's1:35:49hearts. And at the end of it, she sat1:35:51there and she was like, "You know what?1:35:53I was completely wrong." And I remember1:35:55my mom crying like having a godly1:35:56remorse. She gave this testimony in1:35:58front of the Chinese church. And I1:36:00remember listening and she was saying1:36:02that the whole time I was protecting my1:36:06image of being a good person and a1:36:08self-righteous person that I didn't know1:36:10that it completely ruined the whole1:36:13bloodline. basically where they don't1:36:15listen to God. And actually, when they1:36:17found out that my mom was a a Christian,1:36:20they were like, "Typical. So, you ruined1:36:23everyone's life. You lived however you1:36:25wanted. You ruined our lives. And now1:36:26you're like, forgive me cuz I'm1:36:28forgiven." Like, they had that energy1:36:29because I literally went to Korea last1:36:31year. And it was the same energy. One of1:36:34my aunties was like from my dad's side1:36:37was like, "Hey, you know, I could sense1:36:40that they didn't really care about me.1:36:41It was just this feeling of like, "Dang,1:36:43Johnny's here." But they're just like,1:36:45"Oh, you're good. Oh, good. Welcome to1:36:46Korea." It wasn't like where they would1:36:48throw a whole thing for every anyone1:36:50else. They would love on you. They would1:36:52buy you gifts. They would give you1:36:53stuff. It was none of that. It was just1:36:55like, "Oh, that's that's her child1:36:58basically, right? It was that energy."1:36:59So, when I get there, I was I was1:37:01thankful cuz one of the aunties kept it1:37:03real with me. She goes, "How's your mom1:37:05doing?" "Oh, she's good. Is she still1:37:07Christian?" "Yeah, she is." "Oh, okay."1:37:09Okay. So, it wasn't a phase like she she1:37:10leaked that out. And she's like, "You1:37:12know, Johnny, are you are you into all1:37:14that stuff? Is that what you're famous1:37:16for?" And I was like, "Yeah,1:37:17technically." She goes, "You know what?1:37:19It's really nice that you found faith1:37:22and your mom found faith." And that's1:37:24beautiful. You know, I think everyone1:37:25needs some kind of uh spiritual guide1:37:27and spiritual leading whether it's, you1:37:29know, pusah, which is Buddha, or whether1:37:31it's, you know, God. But, you know,1:37:33there are things that we have to be1:37:35accountable for in terms of our actions.1:37:37I hope you can remember that. And she1:37:40said that to me, but I could tell that1:37:41it was really for my mom. It was like,1:37:44yeah, you you could be Christian all you1:37:46want, but and Jesus maybe forgave you,1:37:48but we don't forgive you for what it is,1:37:51basically. We still remember. Maybe1:37:52Jesus forgot your sins, but we still1:37:54remember what happened. You took our mom1:37:55from us, basically.1:37:56>> And so in that position, you know, I I I1:38:01believe that my mom was wrong straight1:38:03up because she said it herself, too.1:38:05Because when I went there, I couldn't1:38:07even talk about God. I went there with1:38:09the with the angle of like maybe she'll1:38:11they'll look at me and be like, "Dang,1:38:13Johnny went to prison. He did all this1:38:14stuff." But I couldn't even talk about1:38:16God. They literally didn't even let me.1:38:18They didn't even want to have a1:38:19conversation with me. They just like, it1:38:22was just sad, you know? And I mean, if1:38:24you believe in Christ, you believe that1:38:26you need to have a personal relationship1:38:28with God, they're not they're never1:38:30going to have that. And it was solely1:38:31because my mom wanted to be right, you1:38:33I'm not saying she ruined their1:38:35salvation, but in a way she could have1:38:37not have done that. And she and and how1:38:40I thought about it and she thought about1:38:41it too from my mom's own mouth is, dang,1:38:44imagine if I if I had salvation those1:38:46years, I would have never said that. I1:38:49would have withheld that and they would1:38:50have looked at me like, you know what,1:38:52Sy's a solid one. like she she kept it1:38:55up with us and they would have opened1:38:57their heart to her and she might have1:38:58been able to we don't know but at least1:39:00it would have been better than what what1:39:01the situation is now where she could1:39:03preach the gospel to them and so it's1:39:06difficult to answer that when it comes1:39:07to the gospel- centered things because1:39:09for anything else you shouldn't lie but1:39:11when you look at 2 Corinthians 6 8-91:39:15Paul literally says deceivers yet true1:39:18and he says in 1 Corinthians 9:221:39:21I will be all things to all men so that1:39:24I can save some of them. So he would fit1:39:26any mold in order to like save people,1:39:28right? Because he he that's what's most1:39:30important. Would you rather be right and1:39:32then have that soul go to hell or be1:39:34wrong and then win that soul for them to1:39:36get to heaven? This is the this is the1:39:38balance that we have. And so a lot of1:39:40times I dis I also was like a solid1:39:42person. I told the truth. So when I1:39:44would see certain pastors not tell the1:39:46person the tr I'm like he has a high1:39:47heart. Why aren't you telling him? And1:39:49then I would then now being a minister1:39:51and pastor, I understand. Oh my gosh,1:39:53there are certain things that they're1:39:54not ready for. It's not that we don't1:39:56want to tell the truth. It's if I tell1:39:58it to you, it's over for you, basically.1:40:00And so, this is where it's it's1:40:02difficult. That's why I asked the1:40:03question, does is this guy doing1:40:05something like gospel centered? If it's1:40:07just a fat in his pockets, that's1:40:08different. Obviously, I don't think he1:40:10should do that. And if he apologized,1:40:11even if he did do that, I think it's1:40:13okay. We can accept people's apologies,1:40:15right? If they're genuinely sorry. I do1:40:17disagree with him being exposed and then1:40:19saying that. Obviously that that kind of1:40:21seems performative, but at the end of1:40:23the day, like if I was him, I would have1:40:25probably just led with that. Like, hey1:40:27guys, like this is just who I am, you1:40:29know? Yeah, I'm big ugly, but this is1:40:31how you become happy. Even if you're1:40:32big, ugly. Like, who cares, right? God1:40:34made me this way. Somebody, you know, I1:40:36was born this way. I can't change that.1:40:38And I'm not going to allow people to1:40:39affect my or dictate my program or my1:40:41mood. That would have been better. But1:40:43then when it comes to the gospel, I know1:40:45a lot of people who close their heart to1:40:46our church because of this. they came1:40:48and they're just like, "Why are you not1:40:50telling my husband?" Like, "Why are you1:40:51saying I'm wrong and you don't tell my1:40:53husband?" Because your husband just came1:40:54to faith or they're not even in faith.1:40:57And so, we will literally side1:40:58sometimes, I've seen this happen where1:41:00we will side with the person who's not1:41:02saved because we know this person is1:41:04saved. So, we'll kind of like to gain1:41:06the heart of that person, right? And1:41:08people will say, "That's manipulation.1:41:09You shouldn't do that." But the thing1:41:10is, okay, if we don't do that, but you1:41:12also want them to receive salvation.1:41:14Like, how do we do that at the end of1:41:16the day, right? It's not a manipulation.1:41:17It is literally to gain souls.1:41:19>> And it's also not like you just take1:41:21their side blindly forever. It's like,1:41:22"Hey,1:41:23>> we see your side." It's more of like um1:41:26>> what's that word? Like uh uh1:41:29>> you accept them for who they are and1:41:31then you reveal to them later, hey, I1:41:33was doing that. So you can really see1:41:35what this is about, right? It's not1:41:37about1:41:38>> in in our thing. I've done that to you,1:41:40Jeremy. Like in the beginning when1:41:41you're like you ask certain things and1:41:42I'm like he's not ready. You're not1:41:44ready to hear it. Right. Did you feel1:41:46like1:41:47>> I was always ready.1:41:48>> Stop. I'm being serious. Did people are1:41:50going to read look at this and say1:41:52honestly. So what did you feel about1:41:54that when I would do that to you?1:41:56>> To be honest, I didn't notice. But I1:41:58would but what I noticed was oh this guy1:42:00answers all my questions.1:42:01>> It's very nice.1:42:03>> Yeah.1:42:03>> And then you weren't so nice.1:42:05>> No, I'm kidding. You've always you'd1:42:07always you've always been nice. You've1:42:08always been nice. But it was it was more1:42:10so of like, wow, this guy's very1:42:12patient. And1:42:13>> I didn't notice my hard-headedness.1:42:16>> You I I realized that like now looking1:42:18back it was like you just kind of held1:42:19your tongue and you're like, "Okay,1:42:21yeah, yeah, I could see you." You You'd1:42:22be like, "Yeah, I could see your point1:42:24of view."1:42:24>> Yeah.1:42:24>> Have you thought about it this way, too?1:42:26I'd be like, "No, but what about this?1:42:27What about this?" You'd be like, "Okay,1:42:28well, what about you'd like answer my1:42:29questions endlessly, but never being1:42:31like, "Bro, question one was completely1:42:33off because you're selfish and1:42:36>> you said that though. You would have1:42:38been like, "What1:42:39>> jacket?"1:42:39>> Yeah. Because we said something that1:42:41challenged just one thing which was1:42:43what?1:42:44>> Don't do anything.1:42:45>> It you literally started to like1:42:47implode.1:42:48>> Okay. But but then what does that mean?1:42:50Like but practically speaking though but1:42:52then don't do anything. Like I don't1:42:53understand. And he was getting like you1:42:54were getting there. Yes, you did.1:42:56Jerome,1:42:56>> that's not1:42:57>> I'm not lying. You did.1:42:58>> I didn't do that. It was maybe like1:43:00Yeah, but what about1:43:02>> I bet it was that.1:43:03>> I bet it was that too.1:43:06But basically guys, like gaining a soul1:43:09is the most important thing. I'm not1:43:10saying blatantly lie to people, but you1:43:13have to discern. If a person is ready1:43:15for that truth, tell them. If they're1:43:17not, even if it's true, you shouldn't1:43:20say it. You should sit there and go,1:43:22"Okay, maybe let me withhold that for a1:43:24second." You know, now obviously that1:43:26some of you guys will then think, "Okay,1:43:27well, how do I discern?" That's why you1:43:29have to read the Bible. That's why you1:43:31have to go and ask people and you have1:43:33to, you know, kind of just read people1:43:34and learn what it means to actually read1:43:37a heart posture.1:43:38>> You have to ask pastors, not people.1:43:39>> Yeah. Sorry. Pastors, different P's,1:43:41right? Ask pastors and be like, "Okay,1:43:44because what we're going to do is we1:43:45don't judge you based off of our lens or1:43:47our experience. We look at you through1:43:49the lens of the gospel, right? And so1:43:52we're like, okay, is this person ready?"1:43:54They're not ready for it, right? Like1:43:56Jeremy would come to me with a lot of1:43:58his friends and be like, "What do I do?"1:44:00And in the foundation of his heart, it1:44:02was he was moving from that's my homie.1:44:04I want to help them. And that also1:44:06betters the business. But I couldn't1:44:09tell him that, "Bro, you're not their1:44:11savior cuz you're not."1:44:13>> And when I would say, "No, they just1:44:14need to come to that conclusion." And he1:44:16would then follow. But how do I make1:44:18them come to the conclusion? How do I1:44:20tell him, "Bro, you can't you can't even1:44:22make yourself come to a certain1:44:23conclusion. How can you do that? And if1:44:26I said that in those moments, it I would1:44:28have lost Jeremy 100%. It would have1:44:30been like, uh, well, I guess he's not1:44:33right. But now, when I'm being more open1:44:36with everything, he's able to see it1:44:38from the side of like, I get I get why1:44:40you're doing it. And now he's1:44:41experiencing that, too, where like he1:44:43has people come to him and he's like1:44:45holding his tongue because he knows,1:44:47>> I can't say that right now cuz that1:44:49person's not ready for it. That is not a1:44:50form of manipulation. That's maturity.1:44:52to sit there and go, "Wow, that person,1:44:55he's not going to be able to handle1:44:56this. So, it's better that I don't say1:44:58it because I'll ruin everything."1:44:59>> You know what's funny, too? All those1:45:01even those people in those situations1:45:03when they just1:45:04>> when I'm just kind of nice to them and I1:45:05hold my tongue even though I want to be1:45:07blind.1:45:07>> They open up more.1:45:08>> They open up more and then and then1:45:10they're more willing to come to church1:45:11and then they come to the same1:45:12realization I had. They go, "Oh, I was1:45:15like that." It's so weird. It's just1:45:17like It's like science.1:45:19>> Mhm. It's1:45:19>> just like, okay, except except for1:45:22certain people, it's very impossible for1:45:24them to really come to the end of1:45:25themselves.1:45:30>> But certain people out there, you know,1:45:33it could be1:45:35>> anybody out there, but like a lot of1:45:37people kind of idiots.1:45:39>> Yes.1:45:40>> Yeah. So, people have to come to the end1:45:43of themselves. Trust me, guys. James1:45:46Ston says something that I think is such1:45:48a banger. He said, "I know that if I put1:45:52what I really am out there, like all of1:45:54my thoughts and who I am inside, nobody1:45:57would love me." I was like, it's it's1:45:59this heart posture of like, it's so1:46:01true. And all of you guys have to1:46:03recognize that, right? When it comes to1:46:05like, oh, this guy's lying, that guy's1:46:06lying. You have to realize that we're1:46:08all liars in front of God. The if you're1:46:10betrayed, think about it from this1:46:12perspective. That person betrayed me. I1:46:15don't forgive them. How many times did1:46:17you genuinely betray God? How many times1:46:19have you promised God to do something1:46:21and then broke that promise, which is a1:46:23lie? I mean, how many times you do that?1:46:25That's how you're able to forgive.1:46:27That's how I was able to forgive my dad.1:46:28I sat there and I was like, "Dang, I I'm1:46:31literally just like my dad. Maybe not to1:46:34my dad or to anyone else, but definitely1:46:35to God." And if and that levels the1:46:38playing field, right? Naturally, the1:46:39byproduct of that would be empathy and1:46:41compassion and go, "Dang, I'm so glad."1:46:43I remember thinking, I'm so glad God1:46:45didn't strike down my dad. All the times1:46:47I wanted my dad to die. Seriously, and1:46:49I'm ashamed to say this, but it's true.1:46:52I'm so glad God didn't listen because if1:46:54he if he smites down my dad, then he has1:46:56to smite me down, too. He has to knock1:46:57me off, too. Cuz we're literally the1:46:59same in front of God. So, I think people1:47:02have to understand instead of all this1:47:04pitchfork mentality, we have to realize1:47:06like, dang, we're literally the same.1:47:07Maybe not horizontally, but vertically,1:47:10right? And so that takes the realization1:47:12that Jeremy had to go through, I had to1:47:14go through, all of us had to go through1:47:15where it's like we're we're literally1:47:18the same. Like there's nothing worse1:47:21maybe in my opinion, in my standard, but1:47:23if God says, "Let all men be liars,"1:47:25Romans 3:4, "and only let God be true,"1:47:29who are we to say, "No, I'm I'm It's me1:47:31and God that's true. Everyone else is a1:47:33liar." Like, no, we're all literally1:47:35liars. We lie and we don't even1:47:36recognize it. It takes that type of1:47:38level too to reach where it's like,1:47:40dang, I'm I'm I'm literally like I don't1:47:44got it like that. And those people tend1:47:47to to change. They hold their tongue.1:47:49They listen better. They don't ridicule1:47:50as much. They don't judge as much1:47:52because they know like I am the same in1:47:54front of God. I'm not the same1:47:56outwardly, but inwardly and spiritually1:47:58I am the same. And it just levels the1:48:00playing field. That's why like I don't1:48:02mind like talking to certain people who1:48:04are pathological liars. I don't mind if1:48:06people were like, "Would you go do a a a1:48:09sit down with, you know, Jehovah's1:48:10Witnesses or people who blatantly just1:48:13mess up?" Like, I don't even see them as1:48:15blatantly trying to spread false1:48:18doctrine. I see it as, oh, they're1:48:20misguided. How many times was I1:48:22misguided?1:48:23>> And if someone doesn't tell me and they1:48:25just judge me, how the hell am I ever1:48:27supposed to change? Like, why can't we1:48:29have that open dialogue about those1:48:31types of things, right? And so, I I1:48:33don't keep that energy. I I genuinely1:48:35look at people and go, there's probably1:48:37a real human uh reasoning behind why1:48:40they're acting the way that they act and1:48:41why they follow a cult or whatever1:48:43people say. There is a reason behind it.1:48:45And if I don't know it, either shut your1:48:47mouth or go and find out why they're1:48:49doing it. Most people like to open their1:48:51mouth and not find out and just ridicule1:48:53people. That's not first and foremost,1:48:55that's not Christlike. Number one.1:48:56Number two, like Jesus also held his1:48:59tongue. So is he a liar? When Pontis1:49:01Pilot asked him, he could have said, "I1:49:03am the son of God." But he didn't1:49:05because he knew Pontis Pilot wasn't1:49:07ready to hear that. And he it was he was1:49:09like coming to that realization, but he1:49:11wasn't able to. And then King Herod,1:49:13Jesus is a real person by by our1:49:17standard. He should have performed the1:49:19miracles because it was a king. And if1:49:21Jesus respects the authority and tells1:49:22us to respect the authorities, he should1:49:24have listened to King Herod when King1:49:25Herod said, "Please perform a miracle."1:49:28But he knew King Herod's heart only1:49:30wanted the miracles. So he kept quiet.1:49:32He's like, "Are you the guy that1:49:34performs miracles?" He didn't say1:49:35anything, right? He should have, if he's1:49:38Jesus, all knowing, all good, and he1:49:39gives an answer to everybody and he's1:49:41loving and he should save people. Why1:49:43didn't he sit there and save him?1:49:44Because he knew whatever he would have1:49:46said, King Herod wouldn't have listened1:49:47because he's only focused on the1:49:49miracle. So in the same way, we take1:49:51that as pastors, as Christians, we1:49:53should take that. What is is this person1:49:55ready for it? And by faith, if they're1:49:57ready for it, we can say it by faith. If1:49:59they're not, we also hold our tongue1:50:01because we have to be slow to speak. We1:50:02have to discern. We have to be able to1:50:04see, is this person ready for it?1:50:06Because the right truth at the wrong1:50:07time can be devastating, devastating to1:50:11to a person. And people don't realize1:50:13that. And for the viewers, you guys1:50:14know, cuz every time I teach this1:50:16lesson, they're always like, "Dang,1:50:17Johnny." I can think about four, five,1:50:19six times that I did that where I'm1:50:21like, "Why did I say that?" Just to look1:50:24good. just to really look and I didn't1:50:26even realize I was trying to exalt1:50:27myself. So, I genuinely don't tell the1:50:31truth to people who are not ready for1:50:33the truth. In fact, that's going to ruin1:50:35people and when you're ready, then I'll1:50:36let you know, right? Cuz I've done that,1:50:38too, where people have come to me. I've1:50:40shared this with you guys where where1:50:42they go, just tell me the truth. And I'm1:50:43like, I'm going to show you. Are you1:50:46sure? And I'll let them know. And they1:50:48literally hate me after that. They hate1:50:50my guts after that. And and I tell them,1:50:52have I become your enemy? because I tell1:50:54you the truth. Right? That's what Paul1:50:56says. And I learned from Paul that1:50:58there's a lot of people that he he1:50:59didn't speak to where he just kept1:51:01preaching the gospel and people came to1:51:02him. Hey, what about when you stoned1:51:04Stephan? Hey, what about when you were1:51:05doing this, this, and this. He was like,1:51:07I'm not going to listen to you. I'm just1:51:09going to preach the gospel because1:51:10that's how you're supposed to move. He1:51:12could have oblit obliterated them. He1:51:14wrote 14 epistles. He could have taught1:51:16them their own doctrine, but he chose to1:51:18go, they're not even ready for it. We1:51:20don't give pearl to swine. essentially1:51:22meaning if a person is not ready to hear1:51:24it, why would we give them something1:51:26valuable? If anything, they would just1:51:28treat it invaluably and that's how it1:51:29is.1:51:31>> Dang bars.1:51:33>> And that1:51:34wraps up this episode, guys. I hope you1:51:37guys found it fruitful. And just like we1:51:40do on every episode, we end with a1:51:42prayer. So, let us bow our heads and let1:51:44us pray. Father God, again, thank you so1:51:47much for giving us this unlearned1:51:49wisdom, Lord, to be able to apply our1:51:52grace to be able to apply the lessons1:51:54that you taught us through the grace to1:51:56be able to not only preach the gospel,1:51:59but to overcome bad habits. A lot of us1:52:02are struggling with bad habits and1:52:03expectations of ourselves. We're looking1:52:05on the outward when you ask us to look1:52:07inward. And Father God, even when we1:52:09look inward, we cannot see whether or1:52:11not we have a good or a bad habit. So I1:52:13ask, Father God, that if this this1:52:16episode created a little bit more1:52:18resistance for people in their hearts in1:52:20terms of being calloused or just created1:52:22more questions that you please be with1:52:24them in the Holy Spirit to answer their1:52:26questions. I know that you're always1:52:27praying for us and giving us1:52:29intercession through Jesus and the Holy1:52:30Spirit, Lord. And for that, we're so1:52:32thankful. But if there's anyone who's1:52:34struggling, please allow them to also1:52:36break free from that, Lord. that we1:52:37can't do anything that whether we have a1:52:39good or bad habit, you've allowed it so1:52:42that you can show your glory through it.1:52:44Lord, allow us to really rest in that1:52:46heart posture. Rest and and be able to1:52:49move with your provision, Lord. Thank1:52:51you, Father God. We leave everything in1:52:53your hands and in Jesus name we pray.1:52:55Amen.1:52:56>> Amen.1:52:57>> Amen, man.1:52:58>> Like, comment, and subscribe. Like,1:53:00comment, and subscribe. Peace and listen1:53:01to the audio episode. See you later.
