Unlearned Wisdom by Johnny Chang
0:00Welcome back to another Discord stage.0:01This is where I talked directly with my0:03community. I tell personal stories,0:05share deep biblical learnings, and I0:06answer questions from the chat. These0:08episodes are audio only, so thanks for0:10listening. And you can join my Discord0:12to catch the next Discord stage live.0:14Link in the description. Yep, you guys0:17can ask your questions. Again, I'll be0:19answering these probably foundationally.0:22So, if you listen, you most likely will0:24just receive more than actually typing0:27in all of that stuff. All right. Um did0:30you see my question in the chat feed?0:32No, I didn't. I've always wanted to0:34know, can you speak on gender roles in0:36the Bible? Listening to you, I'm0:38starting to wonder if we misinterpret0:39gender roles. Are we Are we all meant to0:41be women and let Jesus be the man and0:43lead our lives? Yeah, pretty much.0:45That's it right there. I mean,0:46spiritually, we are all women in front0:49of God in that we need nurturing, we0:51need to be taken care of. Of course,0:53male and female are different, right, in0:55the world. But in front of God, he0:57literally says there is no male, there0:59is no female. To him, it's just more of1:01like I see someone who I need to to1:04help. In relation to to that verse, we1:07are also females because we have to rely1:10on him. All right. Our mics are on mute,1:13right? Yep, everyone's mic is muted. Um1:15yeah, that's normal. Does God allow1:17guilty guilt to catch with us maybe to1:20be humble or it's Satan? He allows1:23choice.1:24But choice also is focusing on yourself1:28or focusing on God, right? You can1:30choose to focus on God, you can choose1:31to focus on yourself. And so, yeah,1:33those are the things that we kind of1:35choose, right? Am I going to choose God1:39and feel throw away my feelings, or am I1:42going to choose my feelings and feel all1:43of my feelings? So, to answer your1:45question, God allows choice. The guilt1:47that comes is from you choosing1:49yourself, or the conviction comes when1:51you choose God. All right, very simple.1:53Have a separation between my heart and1:55my head. I know I'm saved and have1:56accepted Jesus, but the devil tries to1:58convince me otherwise, and I would like1:59some advice. Yeah, so just trusting2:01yourself is probably what's going to,2:04again, cause you to do that. So, all of2:06the questions here probably either you2:08choose to trust yourself or you choose2:10to trust the word of God, right? You're2:12trying to connect your heart and your2:14head. They're already interconnected.2:16The mind is the connection between the2:18heart and the brain, right? We have a2:20mind, an active mind. So, it all works2:24together. Um2:26you can take it treat it as the same2:27essentially. So, [snorts] you have to2:29believe the word, not feel the word, not2:31try to understand the word. Sometimes2:34you're believing in the understanding as2:36well, which isn't actually believing in2:37the word. Believing is even if you don't2:39understand, even if you don't feel it,2:42the Bible says it and that's it. You2:44don't need to feel better or more at2:46peace. Um you can feel chaotic and still2:49trust the word basically, right? But the2:52issue is we're trying to wait until we2:55follow the word, you know, feel that2:58we're following the word, and then2:59therefore we are following the word.3:01It's like that's not how it works.3:02You're now putting your your feelings on3:04top of his light, on top of his word3:06basically. Enlighten us with how close3:08we can be about the end times. I think3:11it's probably more important to just3:13focus on Jesus and God because focusing3:16on the end times is going to uh make us3:18hyper analyze things3:21and judge other people and all that. We3:23focus on Jesus so that we're ready for3:25it whenever the time comes, not just the3:27end. Uh so yeah, that's probably more3:29important than anything. Going through3:31baby Christian things, my wife doesn't3:33want me to continue getting silver for3:35the app. She thinks I'm addicted to3:36Johnny and not Jesus, but I do tell her3:40it's Jesus and Johnny's teachings that3:42make sense to me. She believes church on3:43Sundays is enough, but I want to have a3:45relationship with Jesus. Uh3:47but any talk about the word she gets mad3:49at me. I I out of questions in Gospel3:51Buzz. Sorry putting this out there, but3:52I'm lost. Can't find my way in Jesus.3:54I'm praying to God 20 to 50 times a day3:56in my head, but maybe there's some3:58scripture I can read on this. So, the4:00issue is not even the scripture or any4:01of those things. I think your wife sees4:04something in you that you cannot see. I4:06think that's the part you have to slow4:07down with because if your wife says I4:08feel like you're addicted to Johnny and4:10not Jesus, I don't think you should just4:12defend yourself. I think you should ask,4:14right? You should ask what fruit is she4:16seeing, right? Is she seeing more love,4:18more patience, more gentle ness, more4:20listening, more humility, or is she4:22seeing you force Bible talking to every4:24conversation while not actually4:25acknowledging her love, right? So, when4:28you really think about these things,4:30it's not about singing spiritual songs4:34and Johnny said this and Johnny said4:36that and Johnny said this and John like4:38your heart is probably just not even4:41considering her heart. And so, she's4:43going to attack the the very thing that4:45you don't like or that you do like,4:47which is me, right? So, if you if you4:49don't even have the sense to sit there4:51and and sense her, then she's just going4:54to get frustrated and attack the very4:56thing that you keep going towards,4:58right? And I can just I can tell just by5:00how you interact uh here and all of5:03these things, right? You Yeah, you don't5:05consider, right? Amen. So, it's not5:08you're actually ruining it ruining it5:10for her, and 100% if I'm keeping it5:12real. Makes sense? Um I think that's the5:15most important thing is to recognize5:18that you should consider the person in5:20front of you, especially your wife. Uh5:23your first ministry, if you think about5:25it, even as a baby Christian, is going5:27to be your family. It's loving your5:29wife. It's ministering to your wife. If5:31she goes, "I don't want you to talk5:34about Johnny," don't. It's literally5:36that simple. Don't. Don't talk about me.5:39Don't even bring me up. Don't say5:41anything about me, right? In fact,5:43apologize and tell her, "Hey, I'm5:45really, really sorry.5:47Um I just was trying to share with you5:49what I felt. I realize I was I was5:51stepping all over your toes. My5:53apologies. From here on out, you will5:54not hear about Johnny anymore. And if5:56you don't want to, you will not hear5:57about Jesus anymore, either. I5:59appreciate that you say Sunday is6:01enough. And you know what? You have your6:02relationship with God, and I do, too.6:04I had just wanted to share with you, but6:06I realize I was overstepping, and I6:07apologize for that. Is that okay with6:09you? Right? So, I think it's it's better6:13to kind of just just focus on that.6:16Right? Just focusing on those things.6:17That's not your pride, by the way.6:20Right? It's the enemy's pride.6:22Understand what I'm saying? Right? So,6:24we what we do here is we read heart6:26posture more than anything. Make sense?6:29So, you have to also think about that.6:32Right? It's not really scripture that's6:33going to help you. It's belief. Because6:35I can give you scripture, and you won't6:37even one believe or even understand the6:39context, right? So, so, let's say you6:41don't believe, even if I give you bomb6:44scripture, you're not going to believe6:45it anyways. So, that's kind of very,6:47very important. Right? I've been6:49experiencing extreme tiredness trying to6:51understand if this is something physical6:53or spiritual. Is there a verse that you6:55can suggest? Um, I think, again, you're6:57you're just trusting in what you think6:59and feel. I actually answered that7:01earlier with the people that were asking7:03earlier. So, it's not about what you7:06feel. Of course, you can feel tired, but7:08to think anything different and deeper7:10than that is probably just analysis7:12paralysis. You're overanalyzing,7:14overthinking it. Right? We're human. We7:15We Our bodies get tired, and they get7:18really tired sometimes. Then, what are7:20you supposed to do during that time?7:21Figure out if it's physical or7:23spiritual, or are you supposed to just7:24rest because your your body's tired?7:27Right? It's, again, we tend to overthink7:29things and overcomplicate things. No,7:31it's not. If you're tired, just rest.7:33Amen. So, again, I will get to the heart7:36posture of all of these questions. So,7:37please don't feel offended, but I will7:39at the end of the day.7:40Right? Okay? So, isn't there a verse7:43about agreeing with your adversary7:44quickly to repair your relationship with7:45them? I know it's dependent on context,7:47but this seems like a good context for7:49it. No, this isn't correct. So, you're7:50saying Matthew 5:25. Yeah, that's not7:53what the context is talking about.7:54Right? Because your your wife is not7:56your enemy. Number one, pride is your7:58enemy. So, when you agree with an8:01adversary, um that he's talking about8:03his wife. This is not good context for8:05it. So, like I said, right? Um a lot of8:08people don't know. They're trying to8:09offer help, which is good. It's8:11beautiful thing. There's nothing wrong8:12with that. But, if you guys don't know8:14accurately the word of God, it can be8:16actually very dangerous. Right? Let's8:19continue here. You will never hear this8:20come out of another pastor's mouth. And8:22honestly, I've seen how this is better8:24from personal experience. Right? Right.8:26Uh hey pastor, I just wanted to8:27to know. I had a fallout with church,8:29but I stayed close to God watching8:31podcast videos. I understood now8:33knowledge without reverence due to your8:35previous video in regards. What's your8:37better best advice to get back in8:38alignment with Christ and be true to his8:41word, you know? Huge spiritual burnout.8:43Well, number one, you have to It's8:45really good to have a gospel-centered8:47church. If you don't, that's what we're8:48providing here, obviously digitally. So,8:51consuming that is important cuz faith8:53comes by hearing hearing the word of8:54God, Romans 10:17. But, it's also8:56important to understand that if you8:57follow yourself, then you will have a8:59fallout with your churches. And most of9:01the time, churches aren't really9:02gospel-centered nowadays. You shouldn't9:04judge them. You should pray for them.9:06Right? And so, I think the best way to9:08get in alignment with God is the best9:10way to get in alignment with any9:11situation, whether it's leaving the9:12church or leaving a relationship or9:14leaving a job, is to literally literally9:18put Jesus at the center of it all. So,9:20being true to his word and be is being9:22true to Jesus. Meaning, the word is9:25Jesus. So, getting in your word is very9:26important. Right? Are you able to expand9:29about the Sabbath a little bit more?9:30Yeah, the Sabbath is a day. It's It's9:32not a day. I'm sorry. It's a person.9:34Contrary to what a lot of people9:35believe.9:36Uh, Mark chapter 2 27 28 talks about9:39this. Colossians 2 16 to 17 talks about9:41this. Basically, it's a sinner, he rests9:45on Shabbat uh, when he meets Jesus9:47Christ. Arguing the semantics and the9:50days is just pride speaking and pride9:53wearing church clothes. See, look, I9:54know this. This is the context of this.9:56See, I'm better than you. Like, we're9:57supposed to point to Jesus, not how9:59knowledgeable we are about a day, and10:01we're supposed to keep that day holy,10:02meaning every single day is a Sabbath10:04day if you really think about it for10:05believers, right? Um, of course, there's10:07the Jewish Sabbath, and technically,10:09biblically speaking, yes, it's on a10:11Saturday, sure. But, so what? The heart10:14posture behind it is, I know it more10:16than you, and therefore, I'm better than10:17you and holier than you. No, that's not10:19how it works. That's not how we're10:20supposed to, you know, it's just not how10:22we're supposed to do this, right? Okay.10:25I'm learning the enemy, pride and10:27thoughts. I do believe, but thank you10:28for being real. Um, I don't think you10:30believe, right? I think if you did,10:32these things wouldn't happen, right? If10:34you think about it, when you believe,10:35those types of things won't necessarily10:37happen. At the end of the day, it's it's10:39because we trust even in the thought10:41that we believe, right? So, how do I10:44deal with fear? Is this is good context10:46for this, right? Um, how do you deal10:47with fear? Well, fear is just faith in10:49reverse.10:50Cuz the fear not happening yet, right?10:53When you look at faith, Hebrews 11:110:55says, "Now faith is the substance of10:57things hoped for, the evidence of things10:58not seen." I think about that for a11:00second, right? You don't see it, but you11:03have faith in it, and you believe it's11:05going to happen, and you hope for it,11:06right? So, in the same way, then fear is11:09just the opposite, right? The opposite11:11is, I don't see, like, let's say your11:14son is vaping, or your son, and you have11:16this fear that he's a gang member. He's11:18not a gang member yet. You have this11:20fear he's going to get shot and die in11:21the streets. He hasn't died yet. That's11:23substance that you're not hoping for,11:25and you haven't even seen it, but you11:27believe it. So, why not redirect that11:29energy, right? And then place it into11:32the actual faith, which is believing in11:34God. Although we don't see that God has11:36given us financial uh good and and and11:39you know, loving on us and giving us our11:41blessings,11:43we don't see it, but we can have faith,11:45right? Same with the fear. We don't see11:46it. We don't see that things are going11:48to fail and our life is over, but we11:50treat it like it is. Because that's11:52faith, but just in reverse. It's faith11:54in the wrong things. That's what fear11:55is. 100%, right? Proverbs talks about11:58this. Ecclesiastes talks about this.12:00Psalm talks about this, right? Hebrews12:02talks about this. When you really really12:04think about this, it becomes very deep12:07to go, "Wow, I I do actually have12:09faith." And what I say is, it takes12:11faith to say you don't have faith. It12:13takes faith to not have faith. What?12:15Because you believe12:17and you choose to not believe. You have12:19to believe that you don't believe.12:21That's faith, right? So so everything12:23takes faith. Driving your car, turning12:25on your car on, you know, walking down12:27the road. Like everything takes faith.12:29But what we do is we it gets convoluted.12:31But I don't believe though. Yeah, you12:33do. You just believe that you don't12:34believe. Do you guys understand? That's12:36That's how deep Satan is. Is he's that12:39cunning to make you go, "You don't12:40believe." when you're actually believing12:41that you don't believe. "No, my son's12:43not going to change." Exactly. You have12:44faith that your son isn't going to12:45change. "No, I'm I'm super lustful." "I12:48don't have faith." Exactly. You have12:49faith, but just not in Jesus. You have12:51faith in yourself that you're lustful.12:53Do you guys understand what I'm saying12:55here, right? So a lot of people don't12:56realize these types of things, right?12:58They think like, "Oh, no, I I don't have13:01What do you mean? You have ex- extreme13:02faith. Just in the wrong direction. It's13:04pointed at the So we have to redirect13:06it.13:07How do we redirect it? We sit there and13:09we ask God, "Lord, I believe help my13:11unbelief. I don't like this. I'm13:14trusting myself too much, right?" And I13:16say I don't have faith. No, I have too13:17much faith. Too much faith in myself.13:20Understand? [snorts] Make sense, right?13:22But I'm answering your question, right?13:23"I'm going to the university soon and13:25I'm literally anxious. I'm not going to13:27get the course. Can you give how do I13:29trust God? Right. So, you're you're just13:30looking for, respectfully, how to pacify13:33those feelings. And the the issue with13:35you is that you you don't listen because13:37you trust in your voice and your13:38thoughts more. So, all I can say to you,13:40and I'm not trying to be mean, is keep13:42trusting yourself, right? And then you13:44will fail enough to then really really13:46listen. Do you understand? Then you'll13:48really be able to listen to what God is13:50saying. Like I said, like if you guys13:52understand what I'm saying, I'm13:53explaining it deeply, right? But the13:56issue is No, I know what I know, right?13:59So, when you guys ask me questions, you14:01guys are not understanding that I'm14:02answering it foundationally, but the14:04issue is you can't listen. Make sense?14:06That's the problem is that we're good.14:08We're too good, right? So, only good14:10people won't listen to other people14:12because they they're good. Their mind is14:14great, even the evil thoughts, right?14:17Even the evil thoughts, they think,14:18"Well, it's good. It makes sense. I'm14:19not going to get the course that I14:21want." Yeah, who's that coming from?14:23God? Definitely not God. From you.14:25Understand what I'm saying, right? Make14:27sense? This heart of I'm good is what's14:30going to kill you, genuinely. But14:32sometimes we need to die a little bit.14:34And I know that sounds harsh, but it's14:35true. We will die a little bit and then14:37go, "Dang, I shouldn't have trusted14:38myself." And then when you come back,14:40you can then listen, like, "Oh, that's14:42what Johnny meant. That's what he meant14:44when he said, 'Don't'" But right now,14:45it's just not really going to do14:46anything, right? It's just not, right?14:48So, unless you you hear what I'm saying14:50now, right? Make sense? Right? So, so14:53this answers even like what Irish is14:54saying. Pastor, as a baby Christian,14:56you're talking about over-analyzing,14:58right? I tend to stress and do the15:00roller coaster analogy you talk about it15:01with sin, doing the happy sad. Do we15:03make God more complicated than he is, or15:05do we complicate ourselves in our walk,15:07right? It's both. We complicate God and15:09we complicate everything else, right?15:10Ourselves. This is the difficult thing.15:13Amen, right? So, we're we're here to15:15truly help, but what I want you guys to15:17understand deep down is that we don't15:19really want help. We want things to make15:22sense to us. That's that to us is what15:24help is. So, even that is distorted. Are15:27you guys understanding what I'm saying?15:28You ever have somebody come up to you,15:30they ask you for help, and you actually15:31give them help, and then they go, "No,15:33you're not helping me." Oh, so what you15:35just showed me was you want help in your15:37way. You don't want me to help you. You15:40actually want it your way. Do you15:42understand what I'm saying? And we've15:43done that ourselves, too. Right?15:45Understand what I'm saying? Right? And15:47please don't name other people. Like,15:49when you put Jehovah's Witness lol,15:50that's disrespectful. Make sense?15:53Like, I'm talking about you guys.15:55Right? Specifically. Right? Please be15:56very clear about that. Right? Because15:58we're getting a little comfortable here.16:00Right? But, I want you guys also16:01understand that there are people in here16:03who are ex-Jehovah's Witnesses, who have16:05family members who are Jehovah's16:06Witnesses. Remember what I told you16:07guys? It's about thinking about other16:09people. You can be assertive. Right?16:11But, to crack crack on them, it kind of16:13sucks. Make sense? Right? Don't take16:15this and get butt hurt. I'm just saying.16:16Like, when you get a little comfortable,16:18you have to realize that there's this is16:19a place that a lot of people all16:22struggle with. Right? Make sense? All16:24right.16:25>> What's the longest Snapchat streak16:27you've ever had? Be honest. Some of you16:29guys have had Snapchat streaks for16:30years. Even if you wake up in the16:32morning, you guys will send a blurry pic16:34just to keep that streak alive, right?16:36Now, let me ask you this. What if you16:37kept that same energy for God? I'm not16:39talking about no 3-hour Bible study or16:41[music] 45-minute prayer session. Just16:43checking in, 2 minutes a day, every day16:45for God. I'm Johnny Chang. I spent 1316:47years locked up, and the thing that16:49saved me wasn't one big moment [music]16:50from God. It was showing up every single16:52day, day after day after day. That's16:55where true change happens. Not in the16:57mountain top [music] skyrocketed16:59moments, but in the daily ones. That's17:01why we built a streak tracker in the17:03core of the Hard Daily app. Every time17:05you check with your devotional, your17:06streak goes up. And it's not there to17:07guilt you when you miss. It's there to17:09show you something different. It shows17:11you that you're actually doing17:12something. That you're becoming the17:13person that you prayed [music] to be.17:14That's not pride. That's evidence. You17:16kept a Snapchat streak for a person that17:18you probably don't even talk to anymore.17:20[music] Keep one with God who never left17:22and start your streak today. Link in my17:23bio.17:24>> Yeah, we have to unlearn a lot of17:25things, absolutely. Sorry, let me keep17:27going here. Hi pastor, I'm reading17:29Romans 1 and felt a bit guilty because17:31it refers for to sexual sin. I used to17:33struggle with same-sex attraction, but I17:35stopped pursuing that a few years back,17:37but I still get tempted sometimes though17:39and that's where I feel guilty. Let me17:40just see, did you just join? Cindy, did17:43you just join? Like how long have you17:44been in here for? Honestly. Right? No,17:47no, no, I'm saying did you like this17:49main stage? Did you just join? Or you've17:51been here for a little bit, right? So,17:53what I'm addressing here, I'm going to17:54say it again. Everybody please listen.17:56Listen carefully. I am addressing things17:58foundationally. Do you guys understand?18:00If you cannot hear what I'm saying,18:03then just probably find it a like leave18:06and find a time to like listen18:08carefully. Okay? I appreciate the18:10vulnerability, but you can't just be18:12vulnerable, right? We have to be able to18:14actually listen to [clears throat] what18:16is being said because I'll spend all day18:18then wasting everybody else's time18:19repeating myself. I don't think that's18:21important. I think we have to not repeat18:24ourselves and just say it once and then18:25you guys be able to listen, right? As a18:27teacher, as a steward, as a shepherd, we18:28have to listen. Otherwise, why are we18:30here?18:31We're just here for community, is that18:32what it is?18:33We're not here to actually grow out and18:35become better with God,18:36right? So, I have to force that a little18:38bit sometimes because we just tend to18:40like only be in here to speak about18:42ourselves. So, like I said, people will18:44come up to us and they want an answer,18:47but they want their answer. You guys got18:50that, right? I cannot provide your18:52answer. I have to give you the answer of18:54Jesus Christ, of God, of the Bible. I18:56just can't. Understand what I'm saying,18:58right, guys? I just can't. Make sense?19:01Right? Amen. So, even the meek sheep,19:04right? Is doing this where their heart,19:06they're coming here to what? To exalt19:08themselves. Make sense? So, please focus19:10carefully to what I'm saying. You guys19:12shouldn't be answering other people's19:13questions, right? In real time when I19:15when I ask for you guys to listen,19:16people don't actually listen to what I'm19:18saying. Amen? So, please don't do that,19:20right? I get it. I get that a lot of us19:22struggle with having validation issues.19:25Trust me, I've been there, right?19:27Understand? Like, we are people who we19:29don't really care. We we continuously19:31disrespect people and disrespect God and19:32we don't even realize that, right? And19:34this is a good thing. This is a good19:35thing to call out. Do you guys know why?19:37Because how can you trust yourself, a19:39person who can't even clock certain19:40things?19:41You shouldn't, right? So, it's very good19:42to apply to yourself, too. Make sense,19:44guys? So, I'm not saying this to to make19:46you feel bad. I want you guys to19:48recognize cuz you're struggling with the19:50faith issue, right? It's because you19:52trust yourself over the word of God. So,19:54if you trust yourself over the word of19:55God, how can you trust somebody who is19:58only out for themselves? This is20:00something we have to hear almost every20:02single day. I would say like 90% of time20:04we have to hear this and that's why the20:05main stage is always like this, right?20:07It's because everyone is like this. The20:09people who think they follow and the20:11people who don't think they follow.20:12Everyone needs to hear that because they20:14struggle with this. Specifically this,20:16right? Amen? When you come to our20:18churches, too, what we talk about is the20:21gospel because the gospel is something20:23that needs to be planted in us every20:24single day. It's one way, shape or form,20:26always leading back to the gospel. Well,20:28we know the gospel. Why do we have to20:29hear the gospel every single day?20:31Because we forget it and we don't20:32actually know it, right? That's the20:34problem. Right? So, in the same way,20:37right? If you guys are here to ask your20:39questions, no problem, but listen to the20:41actual answer, though. Don't just think20:44about these types of things, right? Uh20:47uh for yourself. Understand what I'm20:49saying, right? Make sense, right? Don't20:51ask questions that that you can reveal20:54your heart. Just keep it real. Do you20:56guys understand what I'm saying? I'd20:57rather you guys just keep it real. So,20:58for example, like he's saying, "How long21:00did it take for you to start fully21:01trusting God consistently?" So, what21:03he's doing is he's now checking with his21:05own checkbox, right? If you guys can21:07see. Right? He wants me to answer so21:09that he can cling onto that hope instead21:11of listening to what I'm actually21:13saying. Make sense brothers and sisters?21:15Right? Why does it matter how long it21:17took for me to trust God completely?21:19Amen. Make sense? So even our own21:22hearts, we don't realize we're doing21:23that. Do you guys understand what I'm21:25saying? We don't even realize we're21:26doing that. That's the problem with us.21:28So the way that the Bible explains sin21:30is that it is a leprosy. It's It's that21:33he compares it to leprosy. Make sense21:35guys? Let's think about that for a21:37second. Right? Why does God say leprosy?21:40Think about it. Right? Because when you21:42look at a leper, they can pull off their21:44finger, they can pull off their nose.21:46Right? Because what happens is they21:49cannot It's a flesh-eating disease so21:51much so that all the nerves die. So if21:53all the nerves die, can you feel21:55anything? No. There's even sicknesses21:57and illnesses where a person cannot feel21:58pain because they have no nerve endings,22:01right? So leprosy is the same thing.22:02They cannot feel. So why does he then22:05say it's sin? Because we don't feel our22:08sin. That's why it's evil. We don't feel22:10We don't even recognize. So Jesus when22:12he hangs on the cross, right? What does22:14he say? He says,22:16"Father, forgive them for they do not22:18know." How come he doesn't say, "Father,22:20forgive them cuz they don't repent."22:21Right guys? He says, "Father, forgive22:23them for they do not know." They don't22:25know what they're doing. In the same way22:27we're the same We We We do that. Do you22:29guys understand what I'm saying? Make22:31sense? Right? Understand? We don't22:33actually understand. That's the problem22:35here. Right? So God, he's very22:37meticulous and we have this I know22:39demon. Every one of you guys that Pastor22:41Kim says where Oh, I already know. I22:43already know. I follow everything. I22:45write notebooks full of Johnny. I post22:47post cards and I tell my my my girl22:49about Johnny and right? But But you22:50don't You're not actually hearing what22:52I'm saying though. Make sense? A lot of22:53people, that's their issue is that they22:55know. I know though. I know what it is22:58to live spiritual life. Right? But then23:00how come God isn't working in the same23:02fruits as you than he is in me? Pastor23:05Kim has always challenged me. For the23:06first five years of my walk, I had zero23:08disciples. He straight up asked me, "I23:10don't even speak English, Johnny, and I23:11have more disciples than you." And I23:13used to think he was prideful and a23:14pompous person for saying that.23:16Understand what I'm saying, brothers and23:17sisters? I used to think like, "What the23:19hell, bro? You have disciples cuz God23:21gave them to you." Like I would get butt23:22hurt because the truth was, if I'm23:24keeping it real, I wasn't exalted and I23:26didn't have disciples for five years. At23:30that time, I read the Bible front to23:31back, guys, 10 times already. I already23:33had my Jewish leaders. Understand what23:35I'm saying? I had people who I was23:36paying through Skype at the time to like23:38teach me and guide me and do all of23:39that, right? Right? So, I was like,23:42"Dang, I know all this knowledge. I wish23:44you guys could see my notebook." My mom23:45probably will expose it one day. I think23:47it's at my mom's. I still have my23:49original Bible that's broken, literally23:51like ripped to pieces, and I have, I23:53think, 17 or 18 notebooks full of just23:57Jewish literations and ideations and24:00everything, right? It's like kind of24:01crazy, right? I was I was really about24:03it. And yet, through all of that, I had24:06no disciple.24:08Not one disciple. Not one person coming24:11to me for real to like learn from me and24:13grow from me, like you guys are doing24:14with me now, right? So, pastor would he24:16would clown me. He would straight up as24:18a gangster, he would clown me. He would24:20go, "Where are your disciples? I don't24:22even speak English and I have some." The24:23day I stopped thinking, "Well, the24:25church gave you the disciples." The day24:27I stopped, you know, like making excuses24:29and just acknowledge like, "Yeah, I24:31don't got it like that." was the day24:33that God was like, "Okay, now you got it24:34like that." Do you guys understand what24:36I'm saying? So, people don't understand24:37what true surrender is. They think they24:39do. Even when they hear Johnny 24/7, it24:42doesn't matter because as soon as I24:44don't exalt you or as soon as I, right?24:46Say these types of things, then it24:48becomes like, "Ah, I'm good. I'm not24:49going to pop in here. I'm not going to24:50listen to this dude. I'm going to24:52unfollow. I'm going to like that's how24:53people are." Why though? Think about it.24:55Because the exaltation is at the center24:58is their own heart posture. And then25:00what I want you guys to understand is25:02Pastor Kim has taught me you can't get25:03emotional. Emotions he said are like the25:06second strongest God. I was like second25:08strongest God, what the hell are you25:09talking about? Your emotions, think25:11about every time you followed your25:13emotions brothers and sisters. How did25:15it work out for you? For real for real,25:16it didn't work out well. So for me it25:19took what 10 minutes 10 seconds, I'm25:21sorry, traded 10 years of my life,25:23right? When I did the the shooting and25:24all this other stuff, right? So I was25:26able to realize in my life that man, if25:28I follow my thoughts, specifically my25:31emotional thoughts, emotions are25:33unstable, right? So when emotions are25:35unstable, then what? You then will have25:37unstable results. Even on your salvation25:40brothers and sisters, when you follow25:42your emotions on salvation, today I'm25:44saved, yesterday I backslid, I slept25:46around, I did this, okay, I'm not saved.25:48Then your salvation doesn't make sense25:51if you're basing it off of your emotions25:53is also unstable.25:55Because unstable emotions equate to,25:57right? Unstable things, right? What I25:59was able to learn through Pastor was you26:02can't really stick to your emotions. So26:05many many times I have emotional26:06thoughts, too. Now I'm just like you26:08guys, it pops up. Man, this guy is26:10disrespecting me. How can they do this?26:12Etc. etc. But I realize if I follow26:15those emotions, I'm donezo. Make sense?26:17I've had a lot of people turn their back26:18on me. I've had a lot of people try to26:20lie on my name. I've had a lot of people26:21do these types of things and I've done26:22the same, right? But if I follow my26:25emotions, I wouldn't be here. I'd26:26probably back in prison or I'd be dead.26:27Genuinely that's the truth and that's26:29the real, right? And so what I've26:31learned through these years is no matter26:33what happens, you cannot follow that26:35emotion. But I'll be honest, most of you26:39guys it's the opposite. You only go off26:41of your emotion. Make sense? So if I26:43tell you something and you hear what I'm26:45saying, although it may sound a little26:47bit like jarring or like assertive or26:49even abrasive at times, I want you guys26:51to hear the heart posture behind it. Why26:53am I so big and adamant on that? It's26:55because I don't want you guys to go26:57through what I went through. But there's26:58a lot of people genuinely who are still27:00even Core D'Art, who are even people who27:02aren't part of Core D'Art, who've been27:03in the church for 10 years. My church,27:05Gospel Center Church, learned exactly27:07the way I learned from the same leaders27:09as I did and have no disciples, no27:12movement whatsoever. All they do is they27:14just It's this relationship with God.27:16Oh, God loves me. I love God. I love27:18God. God loves me. They stay stuck up27:20here. And I'm just keeping it real with27:22y'all because I care about you. I want27:23you guys to make disciples of many27:24nations. Make sense? It's very difficult27:27though because a lot of people are more27:29of like, I just care about what God and27:31I have in common. In fact, I don't give27:33a crap about anybody else. It's just me27:35and him and that's it. That's a27:36dangerous mindset just so you guys know.27:38Pastor Kim has said this. Pastor John27:40has said this. Right? That's what they27:42would do to me.27:43Right? They would clown me. I would sit27:45there. You guys don't know. I would27:46study all day at the Korean church back27:48then we had a K-Town church in Korea27:50Town. I would study in the second room27:52all day. Literally just cracking open27:55the Bible, reading unlock after unlock.27:57I would literally This is before ChatGPT27:59and everything else where you had to put28:00in that work, right? I would write down28:02notes and I would write28:03cross-references. Right? I would go,28:04"Oh, wow. Jeremiah 31:3328:07cross-references Hebrews 10:16-17. Oh,28:09got it." And I would find these puzzles28:11and I would have crazy work ethic like28:13this. But the one thing I did not have,28:16right? Was a true even disciple with God28:20and I couldn't really preach to people.28:21You know what I would do? I would judge28:23them every time they would come and help28:24me. Man, how come they come to me? I28:25don't even understand why they're doing28:26this. I would then judge other people28:28for not listening to me, right? And so,28:30what Pastor John and Pastor Kim would do28:32and they would lie and they would laugh,28:34I'm sorry, is that they would call me a28:36liar. They would go, "Look at this guy28:38working all hard. What a liar. What a28:40liar." I'm like, "What the hell? I28:41didn't even lie. What are you talking28:42about right now? Why are you guys making28:44fun of me?" Like I couldn't understand28:45that. "Oh, look at him. He's so so hard.28:47Like look, he's working so hard. Because28:49they were getting to me at the root.28:50They realized that all I cared about was28:53not disciples and they were absolutely28:54right. What I cared about was just my28:56relationship with God. You know what28:58kind of heart I had even towards my28:59homies? Hey, if they burn, they burn. I29:01don't care. Then pastor asked me one29:02day, do you think that's the heart of29:04God, Johnny? Genuinely, do you think29:06that's the heart of God? And I was like29:07like I had nothing to say because it was29:09embarrassing. Do you understand how29:11embarrassing? Like of course that's not29:13the heart of God. But now I don't want I29:15don't want to acknowledge that cuz I29:16I'll get butt hurt or I'll be wrong and29:18then I'll sit there and be like, "Wait,29:20this is the heart of Satan, right?" And29:21I'll use words that they taught me.29:23Right? Do you understand? So I want you29:26guys to understand something here. Why29:27am I sharing this with you? Because I29:29see that all throughout the community.29:30Who here really really really wants to29:33grow with God? Who here really wants to29:35have a relationship? Then listen29:36carefully to what I'm saying. Right? I29:38have my flaws, 100%. But one thing you29:40cannot deny is we have our disciples,29:42too. Do you understand what I'm saying?29:44We know how what it means to put in29:45work. We know what it means to see29:47people's heart posture. We know what it29:48is, right?29:49Amen. And so I think you guys have to be29:51able to learn and put a little bit of29:53respect on that. Right? Not what I've29:54done, not my past. Who cares about that?29:56I'm talking about just bar for bar,29:59verse by verse. Understand what I'm30:01saying? When you look at a person who30:02can read heart posture, there has to be30:05a level of respect. If you think you can30:07read heart posture, respectfully,30:08there's not one person in here that can30:10read heart posture. I've done the30:11practices and trials with you guys. You30:13guys failed miserably. I'm sorry to say30:15it. So I don't understand where anyone30:17is standing on this this foundation of I30:20can listen to myself and I can hear30:21myself. You who can't even self who30:24can't even read heart posture.30:25Interesting. Self who has to use up all30:27of gospel bot credits to be able to even30:29get and still not get it. My goodness,30:31right? So so it's humbling. But the way30:33to learn and to grow is humility. I'm30:37better than you.30:38Do you understand what I'm saying?30:40Right? So so you guys have to realize30:41these types of things, okay? All right,30:43I promise you on everything that I love,30:46I will always answer foundationally and30:48from the heart posture. I'm doing that30:51not to get brownie points for me, right?30:53I'm doing that so you guys can see how30:55I'm attacking things and the way that30:58it's supposed to be biblically. Make31:00sense? Okay? So, ask your questions,31:02right? And and or you guys can just Do31:05you guys want me to just teach? Cuz I31:07can just preach and teach to you guys,31:08which I think will answer your questions31:10anyway. For example, a lot of you guys31:12struggle with anxiety and depression and31:14loneliness because the enemy attacks31:16you. But I I guarantee you guys, you31:18don't know any scripture that truly31:21teaches how Satan attacks. Can I teach31:23you guys how Satan attacks you so that31:26at the very least you can see it coming.31:28Like you may not overcome it, but can I31:30at least show you exactly in what31:32scripture specifically you write down if31:35you want to write down any notes, write31:36down these notes. Okay, I'm going to31:38show you guys how he does it. And it's31:39very clear. It's just a couple couple31:42things. It's not nothing crazy. It's31:44actually very basic, right? And it's not31:47something that you guys really31:48understand. You know it, right? But you31:50don't really understand it. Okay? So,31:52let's go real quick. Let's go to 231:54Corinthians chapter 2 verse 17 and we're31:57going to show you guys what he does,31:59right? First and foremost, right? He32:01usually does this and and please write32:03this down because this is just free32:05game. I'm almost done with the Bible32:07again, so I'm in 2 Corinthians. And what32:09I what I noticed, even me, seasoned the32:11way that I am, I recognized one thing.32:14Like there's clues in the Bible where32:16God is telling you exactly how he he32:19works, how he's basically, you know,32:22like it's just easy for him to for to to32:24see basically. So, 2 Corinthians 2:17,32:27it says here, "For we are not as many."32:31So, not that many, "but which corrupt32:33the word of God." Right? Remember,32:35colon, brothers and sisters, what does32:37it mean? Colon means it's going to32:40explain deeper what this means. Who32:42corrupts the word of God? But as of32:44sincerity, but as of as of God in the32:46sight of God, we speak in Christ, right?32:49So, when you guys look at, we're not the32:52people who corrupt the word of God. What32:54is Satan's plan here? To corrupt the32:57word of God. So, step one, Satan, he33:00loves to what? Corrupt the word of God.33:03So, write that down. How does he corrupt33:05it? Well, God is showing us what33:06sincerity is. Being sincere, but as of33:09God in the sight of God, we speak in33:12Christ. So, speaking in Christ means33:15speaking the word only. So then, how do33:18we corrupt it? Not speaking the word,33:20number one, okay? Number two, speaking33:23the word, but not speaking as God or33:26only of God. That's how we corrupt it.33:29So, that's the unlock here. Make sense?33:31So, a person can be speaking about God,33:33but what are they pointing to?33:35Themselves. If that's the case, they33:37have corrupted the word. That's what33:38Satan is doing. So, all of the word has33:40to point back to God as God. In the33:43sight of God, we speak in Christ,33:45meaning we don't speak about self, but33:47Christ, right? But when a person goes33:50"God gave me the heart, and God gave me33:52this to do this for somebody else." That33:54is incorrect. That's now pointing it to33:56them. You guys understand what I'm33:58saying, right? So, that's 2 Corinthians34:002. When we when we go up to34:02I finished reading 4 today. So, 234:04Corinthians 4 verse 4. 2 Corinthians 4:434:08that he he works. In whom the God of34:10this world. So, stop right there. Right34:13there, you have to underline God of this34:15world. Underline or highlight. God is34:17little g. So, notice how it's not a big34:19capital G. Anytime God is talking about34:22himself, Jehovah, it has to be a capital34:25G. So, there's a God of this world.34:27Whoa. So, Satan is the God of this34:29earth? Yes, he is. That's why he runs34:31all the chaos and we're over here34:33blaming Jesus and God. No, it's Satan,34:36right? Hath what? Has blinded,34:39not going to blind,34:41already happened, past tense, the minds34:44of them which believe not.34:47So, when you guys come to me and you go,34:50"How come I can't hear? How come I can't34:52listen?" It's because Satan has blinded34:54that mind, who believe not. Now, just34:57because you say that you're a Christian34:58does not mean you believe. Understand?35:00And then it says, "Lest the light of the35:02glorious gospel of Christ, who is the35:05image of God, should shine upon them,35:08right?" So, Jesus Christ, the image of35:11God, well, who is Jesus? The word. Make35:14sense? The word, right? Understand? He35:16has to shine and shed light because if35:19unbelief is Satan's weapon, then what is35:22God's weapon? Belief, faith. So, who is35:25faith? Jesus Christ, right? They're35:27blinded, but how then do we unblind35:30them? Just by the word, by the35:32scripture. So, Satan works in what? Two35:35ways, right? Corrupting the word of God,35:37only talking about themselves. He blinds35:39the people to the gospel of grace.35:42Specifically, this is the gospel of35:43grace is what we call it. Amen?35:46Right? This glorious gospel of Christ,35:48right? But they don't care about Christ.35:51They don't care about mercy and grace.35:52They care about works. Amen? Nobody told35:54you that faith would come with this many35:56unanswered questions. You pray, you35:58read, you fast, you tithe, and yet36:00you're still not growing. But there are36:02things that you're still carrying that36:03you haven't said out loud to anybody.36:05Not because the answer doesn't exist,36:07but because you don't know who to ask.36:09That's exactly why every Tuesday I do a36:11group mentorship session. You bring your36:13questions and whatever you've been36:15sitting on, whether it's a decision you36:16can't make, past trauma you're still36:18working through, or a relationship36:20that's draining you. And I answer them36:21scripturally, foundationally, with36:23biblical truths that meet you exactly36:26where you are. Even if you're not ready36:28to ask a question yet, come and listen36:30in because chances are somebody else in36:32that room is carrying the same weight36:34you are. It doesn't matter if you're new36:35in faith or you've been walking with God36:37for many years. No question is too36:39small, too messy, or even too36:41complicated. The group mentorship is an36:43exclusive benefit for gold members only.36:46To join, download Corridor Daily or use36:48the link in the description. I'll see36:50you guys Tuesday. Now, the same 236:52Corinthians it talks a lot more. Let's36:53go up to verse 11. If I recall, don't36:56quote it yet. Just let me check here.36:58So, let's go to 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.37:01This is a Bible class for you guys,37:02okay? We're We're basically running37:04through Corinthians and I'll give you37:06another exegesis. I'll I'll post these.37:08It's okay. It's easier for you guys37:09anyways. And I'll give you guys a a huge37:11unlock after this which will help you37:14guys and all of you guys truly grow. So,37:16when you look at 2 Corinthians 11:13-15,37:18let's read it carefully here,37:20exegetically, right? For such are false37:22apostles. So, there's He's He's37:24differentiating real apostles and false37:26ones now. Deceitful workers, they work37:28in deceit, transforming themselves into37:31apostles of Christ. So, everything that37:34was built up was Satan corrupts the37:36word, he blinds the mind, and then he37:38transforms these people into that,37:40right? You see the build-up here, right?37:42And then it says 14, "Marvel not." Don't37:44be marvelous. Don't be like, "Whoa,37:46surprised." For Satan himself is37:48transformed, past tense, into an angel37:51of light. So, how else Here's another37:53way that Satan works. He claims to be37:55working the gospel, but deep down what37:57he is is the devil, right? So, he puts38:00works into things and he confuses people38:03by being deceitful and being a false38:05apostle, meaning not gospel-centered,38:07but himself-centered, right? Cuz he has38:09to transform himself. So, he actually38:11tells people to do good, is what I'm38:13saying, not evil, right? And that's38:15because you're not going to listen to38:17someone who tells you to do evil, but38:19someone who's telling you to do good,38:20you'll most likely listen to them.38:22That's what he needs. He just needs38:23micro compliance. Just to comply with38:26him. That's all he needs, right? 15.38:28Therefore, if it is no great thing if38:30his ministers also be transformed as38:32ministers of righteousness, whose end38:34shall be according to their works. Do38:36you see that? Right? You guys see that,38:37right? So, when you think about this,38:40right? You have to realize something38:42very, very deeply here. It's telling us38:45that he not only will transform, but he38:48will transform as ministers of38:50righteousness. People who will preach38:53righteousness. Notice how it doesn't say38:55God's righteousness. So, what kind of38:57righteousness is it? Works. What did I38:59just say? Satan teaches morality and39:01ethical code, brothers and sisters. You39:04are to respect one another. You are to39:06love one another. That's what he teaches39:08because that's righteous. Do you39:09understand? But in the end, the end is39:11according to their works, he said.39:13That's a work is what God is saying. So,39:15they removed Jesus and preached a39:18different type of gospel. A false39:20gospel, number one, and a gospel of39:22goodness. Do good. Do great. Love each39:24other, right? Make sense? You who cannot39:27love anybody, not even yourself. Right?39:29As you learn this, you start to kind of39:31see, "Dang, bro's literally doing this39:34type of stuff, right?" Amen. When you39:36look at39:381 Timothy 4:1 here. Let me go to 139:41Timothy. There's another way that he39:42also works. Watch this, okay?39:45So, right here, it says, "Now the spirit39:47speaketh expressively." So, the the39:50spirit expresses itself a lot, right?39:52That in the latter times, later times,39:55some shall depart from the faith, giving39:58heed to seducing spirits and doctrines40:01of devils. So, he promotes a doctrine of40:04the devil, which is this doctrine.40:06Goodness, right? It's seducing. Guys, do40:10you know why Satan places works above40:13everything else? Because it seduces you.40:16How does it seduce you? Because now,40:18what it does without you guys even40:20realizing it, is it puts you at the40:22center. Do you understand? Cuz when you40:24when you start to do good, anybody ever40:26did good for somebody? It feels amazing.40:29It genuinely feels good. When you help a40:31homeless guy out, or when you you know,40:33even even do good the right thing, it40:35feels bomb. For real, for real, right?40:38So, what he does is you chase after40:41that. Understand what I'm saying? Chase40:42after that. Because that's what he does.40:44He places you on that pedestal of40:47receiving the glory. All the glory40:49should point back to Jesus Christ,40:50right? But we're like, "Nah, we'll take40:51a little bit." Cuz it feels fire. It40:53feels good. Understand what I'm saying?40:56Right, guys? So, he wants to cast this40:59goodness in your heart. And then what41:01you don't realize is you become addicted41:03to that. People pleasers understand this41:05very carefully, right? They know. We41:08know this. It feels good to do something41:10for your man, do something for your41:11woman, do something for your family. You41:13guys understand what I'm saying? It41:14feels bomb. But at the same time, right?41:17That's not biblical. It's again, demise41:21and the deception of Satan. You41:22understand what I'm saying? So, so far41:24I've given you these guys, right? These41:25tips, right? Like, how does Satan work,41:27right? He twists scripture, adds you41:30adds works into it. He puts you at the41:32center of it all, right? He then41:34preaches righteousness, do right, do41:37good, you who has no good and no right41:39inside of you. That's what he teaches.41:41So, then right there, when you're41:42thinking about doing anything, two41:45things have to come up in your heart. Am41:47I truly doing this for Jesus, or am I41:49trying to get the back end? Like, do it41:51for Jesus, but it's for me, too. Second41:53thing is, am I trying to exalt myself,41:56or am I basically exalting Jesus in all41:58of this? And really think heavily about42:01this. Understand what I'm saying? Make42:02sense? That's how you you determine. So,42:05even if I'm to expose somebody, am I42:07exposing them to restore them, or am I42:09exposing them because I what's best for42:12me? am I Do I even not think about this?42:14Some people, I'm sorry to say you guys,42:16you don't even think about it like that.42:17You think about it as, I'm going to get42:20angry and fight with my husband because42:22he needs to know that I'm the daughter42:23of God and I like or I have to tell my42:26girl because, you know, she's not loving42:28me and submitting to me cuz I'm the42:29husband. Like, do you understand what42:30I'm saying? It's really you at the42:32center of it is what I'm saying. Make42:34sense? And if you guys took what I'm42:36saying, why why am I bringing this up,42:38right? So, this is deep, right? Don't42:39leave. None of you guys should leave.42:41We're going to talk This is deep. Stay42:42till the very end. This is extra deep.42:44This is conviction for me to be able to42:46preach this. Okay, I'm going to help you42:47guys. Right? So, if you are focusing42:51on How this ties in is if you focus on42:53emotions, you will get played even if42:56you're saved. That's a wild thought to42:58think, right? Because what happens is43:01your emotions are now God. So, I don't43:03care. You could be preaching, I could be43:06preaching, right? I could have millions43:08of followers. Pastor Kim told me the43:09other day, Johnny, he asked me a43:11question. He said, "How many people do43:12you think you've saved?" And I said,43:15"Zero." Right? Cuz I know how to answer.43:17I'm smart like that, right? Zero. Right?43:20Why? Because it wasn't me who saved43:21them. It was you. No, Johnny, come on.43:23I'm asking you. Understand? Right? You43:25you you you guys understand? Isn't it43:27kind of ironic, right? When I'm about to43:29spit bars and give you the unlock, Satan43:31just breaks the audio, which doesn't43:32even happen. It's freaking ridiculous.43:34But, this is what I mean. Stuff like43:36this, you got to keep it real. Like, you43:38got to be smart about it. You43:40understand? Cuz he knows what time it43:41is. He knows that it's going to be43:43something very deep, which is already43:45has been, but it's going to be deeper43:46than this. All right, so you have to43:46understand something. When Pastor Kim43:49told me, he's like, "How many people do43:50you think you've you've saved?" And I43:52said, you know, none. It was all He's43:54like, "No, no, but you like through your43:56platform. Like, don't try to answer43:57correctly. Just answer." I was like,43:59"For sure." Right? I didn't save44:00anybody, but I think through my44:02platform, God has helped me maybe44:04receive a couple thousand people. And44:06then he chastised me. He said, "A couple44:08thousand? You're stupid." Straight up44:10told me, "You're dumb. Oh, you really44:12are dumb." Right? He's like, "If you're44:13doing 100 million views a month, and44:16then you just think about that with44:17math, let's say even just 10%. Boom,44:20boom, boom." He starts to kind of like44:21put it together for me. I'm like, "Oh,44:23true." He's like, "It's probably in the44:24millions. Would you agree?" I said,44:26"Yeah." He goes, "But let me ask you44:28something though. Out of those millions44:30of people, who do you think would live44:32spiritual life?" I was like, "Oof, I44:34don't know." That I don't know, right?44:36He said, "Here's what you have to44:38recognize, Johnny, is that most of these44:40people are not taught spiritual life.44:43They're taught salvation. Many people44:45will go to heaven through salvation,44:46100%. And that's what a lot of people44:47care about. But why be limited to that,44:50right?" Pastor Kim said, "When people44:52are tied to their emotions, they cannot44:55live spiritual life. Understand? When44:57people are tied to their emotions, they44:59will never be able to fully live a full45:02spiritual life, basically." When I45:03thought about that, it made me sad45:05because I thought about you guys. I45:06realized something about myself. I have45:08to fully detach from my emotions, too.45:11Otherwise, I will not be able to listen45:13to what Pastor says because I'll have a45:15rebuttal for everything. And I'm good at45:17making my points valid, genuinely. So,45:19what I learned, too, is, "Whoa, we have45:22to genuinely think about this." Make45:25sense? And you know what he said? He45:27said, "The people that trust their45:29emotions the most genuinely don't know45:32how wicked Satan is." That broke my45:36brain. I thought we all know how evil45:38Satan is. No, they don't actually know45:42how wicked Satan is. They think that45:44they know. Now, this is deep. Like for45:46you guys, I don't think you guys45:47understand. That's deep as hell, right?45:50We all think we know that he's slick,45:51he's sly, he's evil, but we don't45:53actually understand what he's trying to45:56do. So, my job here, and why I went45:58through these scriptures, is because I46:00wanted to show you guys how wicked he46:01actually is. His wickedness is always46:06I'm right, you're wrong, even if you're46:08living more right than me. That's his46:10true wickedness. His wickedness is no46:12matter what happens, I don't give a crap46:15if I led my life incorrectly, you cannot46:18tell me how to lead my life now. That's46:20his wickedness. Because that's think46:22about it. That's what's keeping him out46:23of out of heaven. He can at any time, if46:25you really think about it, at any time46:28come back to God. Have you thought about46:29that? At any time, hey Lord, I repent,46:31my bad. But he won't. Why? Because the46:34heart of I'm not going to surrender46:37under you, even though my life is46:38horrible. Do you understand what I'm46:40saying? Well, that's how Satan is. Amen.46:43He cannot, brothers and sisters, repent46:46from that heart posture. And guess what?46:49So many of us are like that. But what46:50does what does Pastor Kim tell me?46:52Johnny, you need to tell your46:53congregation. You need to tell them46:55clearly, Johnny. Their thoughts and46:57their feelings are trash.47:00Straight trash garbage. So, when those47:03thoughts come up, you have to realize47:05that. Oh, this is garbage from the47:06enemy. Because if you really think about47:09it, the only power he has over us is47:12through emotions, brothers and sisters.47:14That's it. The only power. Think about47:16it deeply. The only thing that he can47:18mess with us is our emotions. There's47:20nothing else he could really do. Do you47:22guys understand what I'm saying? There's47:24nothing else he could really do, right?47:26You guys will hear this, and as you're47:29hearing this right now, I can scripture47:31is popping up in my head, specifically 247:34Timothy chapter 2. All of chapter 247:36specifically. Do you know what what47:38Satan is telling you right now as I'm47:39telling you this? Yeah, but it's too47:41hard. Who can operate off of their47:43emotions? I'll never stop offering47:45operating off of my emotions. I've47:46always been emotional. Okay, easy for47:48you to say cuz you went through that.47:50But how do you actually do that? I47:51always go off of my emotions. Man, you47:53don't understand, dude. I have anxiety.47:54Wait, Johnny, how do we do it though?47:56But Johnny, how do we do it though? But47:57how do we do it? How do we do it? This47:59is how he works. All that is popping up48:01in my head, too, because I know it's48:03coming from you guys. Do you understand48:04what I'm saying? Right? So, even that,48:07listen to me carefully, is straight-up48:10stubbornness from the enemy, right? That48:12right there, we don't take ownership48:14for. What do you mean you have to do it?48:16God already did it. You're a new48:17creature. You better believe that. It's48:20that simple. However, let me explain48:22something to you guys, right? It's just48:24like Judas. Let me explain to you guys48:26what Judas did. He did exactly what my48:28homie Trippy did, right? Where he went48:31to prison for life for taking basically48:35ownership of this gun. So, he had a48:38throwaway. He got caught with the48:39throwaway. The throwaway is somebody48:41uses it at for a murder and then tosses48:44it, right? This gun had three bodies on48:46it, meaning it was used in three48:48separate occasions to kill three48:49different people, right? He ends up48:52getting caught with this gun on a48:53routine traffic stop. But he's not a48:55snitch. He's solid, as we say, 10 toes.48:59So, when they confronted him with the49:00biometric fingerprints of the49:02ammunition, right? And they was used at,49:05you know, three different crime scenes,49:07right? They asked him, "Were you there?"49:09He's like, "I don't talk to cops." "All49:12right, if you don't answer us, we're49:13going to charge you with the bodies."49:15And sure enough, he's like, "Go ahead."49:17Till this day, the homie's been sitting49:20with life without parole. He didn't do49:21those crimes. I know. I know he didn't49:24do those crimes. However, he took49:26ownership for the pistol. Do you49:27understand what I'm saying, right? In49:29the same way, Judas wasn't the one who49:31betrayed Jesus. Scripturally speaking,49:34if you look at it exegetically, it was49:36Satan who did it, right? John 13:2 John49:3913:2 to 27. It was Satan. But what did49:43Judas say in Matthew 27? Watch. He says49:46something kind of wild here. He says49:48this specifically, so pay Pay here.49:51Saying, "I have sinned in that I have49:53betrayed the innocent blood. And they49:54said, "What is that to us? See thou to49:56that." So, what is that to me? You pay49:59for it. You sinned. You pay for it. What50:02Judas failed to realize was that Satan50:05in his brain, right? He thought it was50:08his own thoughts and his own feelings,50:10but it was Satan planting that inside of50:12him. Do you understand what I'm saying?50:14Right, guys? He thought, "Oh, my50:17thoughts and my feelings and my lust for50:20greed and money is mine." So, just like50:23the homie who took the charge, well, he50:26had to pay the price when he takes the50:27charge. In the same way, of course God50:30will not allow Satan to drag you away50:32from hell. I'm drag you away to hell,50:34I'm sorry. But, he will allow Satan to50:36drag you because of choice, because you50:39have to choose, away from spiritual50:40life. Just so you know. Do you50:42understand what I'm saying? So, he can't50:44drag you to hell. That's secured. But,50:46your family members that are supposed to50:48come to you to go to heaven, drag them50:49away.50:50When you trust your emotions50:52and your thoughts. Your kids that you50:54have, dragged away. Your family that you50:57have, dragged away. You understand what50:58I'm saying? Right? So, that's God made51:01it that way to not just live however you51:03want. Because let's say that can happen51:05and that doesn't happen, then we'll just51:07live however we want. That's how we are51:09as human beings.51:10I'm not saying you struggling is an51:13issue. Please don't misinterpret what51:14I'm saying cuz Satan will try to to51:16twist that. Remember, he twists the word51:18of God, right? What Johnny is saying,51:19hear me carefully, is if you sit there51:22and you trust your thoughts, you'll be51:24secure. But, what about all the people51:26that God has already lined up for you to51:28save and be disciples like he did with51:30you guys with me? If I trusted my51:31thoughts during those times, there is no51:33core of the heart. You understand what51:34I'm saying? In the same way, then maybe51:36who's to say, maybe you would have got51:38saved another way, but who's to say that51:40you would actually be saved? Understand51:42what I'm saying? But, what Satan does is51:44he goes he changes the narrative. Well,51:47it's your job. What do you mean you51:49can't affect other people? It's one51:51relationship, you and God. No, it's not.51:54You're preaching a sermon. He calls us51:56royal priesthood. He calls us all51:58basically pastors and servants. Why?52:00Because our walk is a sermon. Do you52:03understand [clears throat] what I'm52:03saying? Do you understand? Right? So,52:05you have to realize, oh, that's what it52:07means. But what do we keep doing? Right?52:10We walk in our own light. That's exactly52:12what Satan wants you to do because52:13you're emotional. Make sense? So, the52:15unlocks here are very deep. But what I'm52:17trying to explain to you guys is, I'm52:19not trying to make you guys feel bad. I52:20want you to realize something. The enemy52:22is very cunning through feelings. If you52:25trust your emotions and your feelings,52:26even if it's just one time, you can52:28trust it two times. And if you do it two52:30times, you can do it 10 times. And if52:32you do it 10 times, you can do it a52:33thousand times. That's how Satan works.52:35He needs micro compromising, right? To52:38just be like, okay, I'll just, you know,52:40kind of like focus here and do a little52:42here. Oh, it's fine. Nah. Every single52:45thing. He's like a little fox, as the52:47Bible says, that ruins all of this52:52field. Right? When you When you think52:54about a fox,52:55it's a little fox. It's tiny. You could52:58probably kick it and it'll not It's not53:00scary, right? Now, if you saw a lion or53:03a tiger in your backyard, you'd be like,53:05oh my gosh, call animal control right53:07now. This thing is going to kill people.53:08Right? You react quickly. But you see a53:10little fox, you're probably not calling53:12animal control. You're like, ah, it'll53:14go away. Right? So, you undermine it.53:17When you undermine it, it eats all of53:19your fruits, it eats all of your53:20chickens, it just ruins the whole field.53:22You understand what I'm saying? That's53:24why it says that Satan is like that.53:25Where it's just one what? It's just one53:27thought. I just trust in one thought.53:29Dang, I can't relax? I can't chill? I53:31can't feel like this for one time? No,53:32you can't because that's the little fox.53:34Do you understand? Right? So, you have53:37to be very clear. When your thoughts53:39come out, you cannot trust the thought,53:41well, I don't care. I don't give a crap53:42anyways. Man, eff it, who cares? A lot53:44of you guys have that. That energy of53:46who cares? I guess that's just how I am.53:48Man, I listened to Johnny this long and53:50I freaking still can't listen to him.53:52Man, eff it then. That is the little53:54fox. Right there. What do you mean eff53:56it? Eff you. Eff you, Satan. I'm not53:58going to listen to you. What are you54:00talking about right now? Make sense? You54:02have to fight back in this way. Amen.54:04Now, you're not always going to win. Me54:06too. I fall to lust. I fall to anger. I54:08fall to emotions, too. But the one thing54:11I'm clear about is this. Oh, this thing54:13is from the enemy. I cannot follow this.54:16You guys have to get on that level, too.54:18Genuinely, you have to. Understand what54:20I'm saying? You have to. We mess up,54:21absolutely. We struggle, sure. But when54:24we focus back on God, that's the most54:26important thing. Amen, right? And call54:28it for what it is. Call a spade a spade,54:30as we say. Right? Don't try to sugarcoat54:32it. Satan will tell you these things54:34even now when you're listening. Man, I54:36can't listen to Johnny. Why can't I54:38listen to Johnny? What do you mean?54:39You're right here. Are your ears open?54:40They are. But Satan goes, I can't listen54:43and distorts that. Understand what I'm54:45saying? By telling you, no, you have to54:47listen and listening means this. So,54:49because you're not listening this way,54:50you're not listening. No, that's not54:51true. That's not true. Don't trust those54:53thoughts. Listen carefully to what I'm54:55saying. The enemy will always do that.54:57Yeah, but like, you know, he don't54:59really live the way that he lives. Like,55:00I seen him cuss before. I seen that.55:02That's also the enemy. Are you guys55:03following me because of the way I live?55:05Are you guys following because I'm55:06talking about Jesus and pointing to55:08Jesus? Those are two things you have to55:10make up in your mind. Understand what55:11I'm saying? Right, guys? Right? So,55:14here's the other unlock here. If you55:16guys are struggling, right?55:18[clears throat] With reading the Bible,55:20there's a hack to actually reading the55:22Bible correctly. Number one, right? If55:24you really look at the Bible, how many55:27books are in the Bible? 66, right? Good.55:30Guys, our live events are getting super55:32packed. We genuinely need some help. So,55:34we're looking for a live events55:36producer. So, I'm going to be completely55:38honest about this. There's a lot of55:40moving pieces from booking a church,55:41finding the vendors, scanning in the55:43people, the volunteers, the merch. Like,55:45there's so many moving pieces that I'm55:47just going to say right now, we're55:48looking for a professional. We're55:49looking for someone who has done this55:51before. If you're watching and you're55:52like, "Oh, I think I can help their live55:53events." Honestly, you're probably not55:55the pick. But, if you're watching and55:56you're saying, "Oh, I've done this55:57before. I've thrown live events. I've55:58even maybe worked in a church space."56:00Please reach out. We're looking for a56:01killer, someone who can really56:03coordinate everything. It's a ton of56:05moving pieces. At the end of the day,56:06it's nothing too hard or complicated,56:08but it's a lot of details, a lot of56:09moving pieces, and for us to be doing56:11this every single month, once a month,56:13or even more, it's almost impossible56:14because we each run different branches56:16of the business. So, for us to do these56:17ourselves, it's becoming unscalable. So,56:19if you think you know you know, I can56:21come in, take this over, I'll learn from56:23them. We'll teach you everything. And56:25you think, "I can take the information56:26and go throw them live events every56:28single month in a different city for the56:30rest of the next 10 years." If you're56:32hearing this and you think that's you,56:33please reach out. We pay super56:35competitively. We have honestly a really56:36good pay for you guys cuz we really want56:38to do this. Live events are super56:39important to Johnny and all of us and56:41all of you guys. So, we want to keep56:43doing them. We want to keep making them56:44super amazing. And that's why honestly56:46we're looking for a killer. Like, it56:48we're not really going to hire anyone to56:49test them out or try to train. We're56:51looking for someone who has done this56:52before and is ready to do it for us. And56:54we're going to pay you very handsomely56:55for it. So, please reach out. The best56:57way to do it, there's a link in the56:58description. There's a job application57:00that details everything and the pay. So,57:02please fill it out. Please pay attention57:04to the instructions. There's a lot of57:05instructions that if you don't pay57:07attention to them, we're not even going57:08to look at your application. So, cutting57:10to the chase, we're looking for a live57:11events killer. If you are that person or57:14if you know that person, if someone at57:15your church maybe throws the events, if57:17you want to recommend it to a friend or57:18a family member, we want an awesome57:20beast live events producer.57:23>> The last thing I'll add is you're going57:24to be handling everything from 1,000 to57:265,000 person live events. We do prison57:29ministry, overseas trips. We want to do57:31We have big plans to take Core of the57:33Heart global, and you would be the57:35linchpin that controls all of that. So,57:38with that being said, again, like Aaron57:40said, I'm only harping it again,57:42there's a lot of people that are57:43applying because you have a heart for57:44the mission which is great, but only57:47because of past experiences, we have a57:49very particular vision of what this57:51person needs to be. We're also being57:53advised by people that have done this at57:55extremely high level who are helping us57:57vet the applications. So, it's going to57:59be a very58:01like select group of people that are58:03looking at your application. So, please58:05do not be offended if we don't pick you.58:07Just understand we have a lot of input58:10and we are very specific on what we58:11need. So, we're very appreciative if you58:13try, but please again understand that58:15we've we've gone through a lot of ups58:17and downs to understand what we need or58:19want.58:20>> So, if you want to apply, the link is in58:21the description. Also, for anyone else58:23still listening, if you want to come to58:24these awesome live events, text in58:26afters to 323-613-357758:31for free live events in a city near you.58:33>> Or download Core of the Heart Daily.58:34>> I genuinely want to thank you guys for58:37tuning in and just supporting Core of58:39the Heart. Without you guys, we58:41obviously we wouldn't be able to go58:43global. And so, we are looking for that58:46that perfect piece, right, to58:48take us global and help us with the live58:50events. So, if that's you, we really do58:52appreciate you guys for for applying and58:55hope to work with you guys soon.58:57>> When you read the flow of the Bible,58:59okay, there's a flow from Genesis to59:02Revelations. If you guys really don't59:04know, as much as I've read it, there's59:06one thing that I've learned. The Bible59:08is just one long prayer. What? It's one59:12long prayer, right? Because when you59:14look at here, I'll show you. What does59:16it end with? It finishes with the grace59:19of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you59:21all. Amen, right? It ends with amen.59:24Now, I'm going to answer twofold here,59:26so pay attention. Why is there such evil59:29in the Bible? Why is God recording those59:31things? Not just for our hearts, but59:33also so that you can come to him with59:35any type of evil in your heart. And to59:38him with prayer. Do you understand what59:40I'm saying? So there in the Bible59:41there's Samaritan towns where the women59:43are boiling their children, people are59:45splitting their babies in half so they59:47can eat them. There's people that like59:49Lot's daughters who who drunken him and59:51basically raped him, right? There's why?59:55Because all this nastiness we can come59:58to God in prayer. That's what I'm trying1:00:00to say. Number one, okay? Number two,1:00:03the other thing that you have to learn1:00:04is that there's 66 books in the Bible.1:00:07All the evilness and and the goodness,1:00:09everything needs to come to God. That's1:00:10why he says in everything give prayer1:00:12and supplication, all things, right? So1:00:13number one, that's the biblical backing.1:00:15Number two is when you read Isaiah, how1:00:17many chapters are in Isaiah? 66 chapters1:00:21is a mini CliffNotes to the Bible. And1:00:24I'm not saying to do this with the wrong1:00:27heart posture. I just want to get1:00:28through the Bible so I'll read Isaiah1:00:2966. No. It'll still take you time to1:00:31read, but when you read Isaiah, you will1:00:34see how the Bible starts and towards the1:00:37end if you notice like Isaiah 53, 54,1:00:3955, it talks about who? Yeshua, Jesus.1:00:43So it's the same as the New Old1:00:45Testament going through to the New1:00:47Testament. That's another unlock for you1:00:49guys, right? Why is this important?1:00:51Because I want you guys to see the flow1:00:53of things. I'm sorry to say you guys'1:00:55growth is very lacking. You know, and I1:00:58say this with love. Some of y'all have1:01:00been here for a long time and still1:01:01don't know how to read heart posture.1:01:03The time is coming where God is going to1:01:05come back, right? And I can feel it and1:01:07sense it even in my heart that God is1:01:09anxious to preach this gospel. That's1:01:11why he's blessing me so heavily to be1:01:13able to preach this gospel. That's what1:01:14I'm noticing. It's like why does God1:01:16keep giving me work after work? I'm1:01:18literally tired. I'm literally exhausted1:01:21in terms of my flesh. My spirit is full.1:01:23It's great. I love it. My flesh is so1:01:25tired that I have no time for anything,1:01:27anything whatsoever. No pleasure, no1:01:29nothing, genuinely. But I'm realizing,1:01:31whoa, God is moving. Understand what I'm1:01:33saying? He's moving. There's a sense of1:01:35urgency, 100%, where he wants people to1:01:37receive salvation, right? And that's why1:01:40like even other churches that I'm1:01:42working with, they're going, bro, how1:01:43are you doing it? And I'm like,1:01:45genuinely, it's Jesus. But I realize1:01:47they're listening to me now, right?1:01:48They've changed the palate of their1:01:49churches a little bit, too, to go from1:01:51preaching to actual teaching. They're1:01:53reading about the Bible. They're trying1:01:55to be gospel-centered. They're trying to1:01:56learn. They're peeping game as they1:01:58watch me, without giving me any credit,1:02:00by the way. And that's fine. But what1:02:02I'm saying is, right? I talked to pastor1:02:03about that. I pastor, what what is this,1:02:06right? They just look at me and then1:02:07they just use me and that's it. But he's1:02:09like, yeah, because that's just what it1:02:10is at the end of the day, right? And you1:02:12guys have done the same. So, Satan, too,1:02:14tries to get me in my emotions. Hey,1:02:16they just use you. They don't even mess1:02:18They don't even mess with you. People1:02:19have backstabbed you. People have1:02:20snitched about you, blah, blah. Like1:02:22that all comes to my heart, too, 100%.1:02:24I'm human. But the one [clears throat]1:02:25thing I know is if I follow these1:02:27thoughts, people are going to die,1:02:28number one, and I'm going to die.1:02:30And that's that. And I ain't tripping,1:02:32too, right? I know where I'm going,1:02:33right? So, I don't like that Satan1:02:35placates to that all the time. But being1:02:38vulnerable and honest with you guys,1:02:39this is what Satan does, right? So, even1:02:42the way he works in you, I can't just1:02:44tell you guys that I I'm also preaching1:02:46and practicing what I'm preaching,1:02:47right? Because we all have to go through1:02:48Pastor Kim goes through this. Everybody1:02:50goes through this. Pastor John, right?1:02:52We all go through these things.1:02:54What I'm trying to explain to you guys1:02:56is there is genuinely nothing that1:02:58matters except for preaching the gospel1:03:00and spiritual life. I said all of that1:03:02to say this one thing right here. Your1:03:04depression, your loneliness, your anger,1:03:05all of that is is valid, sure, but it's1:03:07not as valid as the gospel. So, feel1:03:10what you have to feel, go through the1:03:11motions, absolutely. But more1:03:12importantly than anything, you have to1:03:14realize something. Dang, God, what does1:03:17he want? He wants to preach this gospel.1:03:19I can't preach the gospel in this state.1:03:21So, I need to sit there and I have to1:03:22ask God and I have to refocus. Well, God1:03:24sent you guys me to be able to preach to1:03:26you guys this. Specifically, to make the1:03:28the the Bible palatable, digestible,1:03:30easy to apply, understand? Like, you1:03:33would be a straight fool if you can't1:03:35listen even till now. Because your1:03:37problem is not that you don't listen,1:03:39you're listening to the wrong voice.1:03:40That's the problem. People think they're1:03:41poor listeners. No, you're great1:03:43listeners. You listen to the wrong1:03:45people. You listen to Satan in your in1:03:47your thoughts and your feelings. When1:03:49Johnny sat here to set it up for you1:03:51guys scripturally how to fight Jesus how1:03:53to fight Satan, how to follow Jesus, how1:03:56to do those things, you're able to then1:03:57see those things. And listen carefully,1:03:59right? But the issue is those thoughts1:04:01come up. No, you're not like that. No,1:04:02you can't listen. No, you're too1:04:04stubborn. No, you have too much trauma.1:04:05No, you you don't trust him. No, you1:04:07don't It's all these thoughts that we1:04:08hella listen to every single freaking1:04:11day, bro. Let me ask you guys one thing1:04:13to check check your heart posture. What1:04:16the hell is so good about listening to1:04:19Satan? Number one. Number two, what has1:04:22listening to Satan ever brought you1:04:24except misery and sadness and loneliness1:04:27and depression? Please answer, right?1:04:30Amen? You have to see that. You have to1:04:32see it. Do not allow Pastor Kim told me1:04:35this. Do not allow Satan to play with1:04:39you. All he's doing is he's playing with1:04:42you. When I heard that, that angered me1:04:44like a righteous It angered me. Guys, we1:04:47all have weaknesses, right? We all have1:04:49weaknesses. Now, imagine imagine what1:04:52would you do? You'd punch them in the1:04:53face, you would ignore them, you would1:04:55run away, you would slap them, you would1:04:57beat them up, you would spit on them,1:04:59you would leave, right? You would do any1:05:01of those things. And yet, that's what1:05:03Satan does to you every single day. He1:05:06uses your weakness against you. Nah, you1:05:08can't do it. You're a weak. You suck.1:05:11You don't listen. You're stubborn. You1:05:13have compounded trauma. You're lustful.1:05:15You're evil. You're this. You're that.1:05:18You're this. You're that. You're this.1:05:19You're that. He is literally using your1:05:22weakness against you. Do you understand?1:05:25And condemns you with it. Stop listening1:05:27to your thoughts. Now, you know what's1:05:30beautiful about main stages like this1:05:31and all the main stages? Is that I'm1:05:34placing this in your heart now as a1:05:37person who's sowing the seed.1:05:38Understand? I'm sowing it into you. Cuz1:05:41the next time your thoughts come again,1:05:43you're going to think about what I said.1:05:44I guarantee you. Make sense? That's the1:05:47beautiful thing about having fellowship1:05:48that you guys don't understand. Is that1:05:50it does extreme crazy levels of leveling1:05:53up your heart in ways that you cannot1:05:55see. Amen? It's just the truth. So, what1:05:58you guys don't realize is I'm also1:05:59planting the seed inside of you guys.1:06:01Make sense? Right? Because people think1:06:03fellowship like whenever I go to pastor,1:06:06to be honest, I don't ever have to say1:06:08anything to him. I realized that about1:06:10myself.1:06:11I used to go to him and I used to write1:06:13things down. Okay, I'm going to talk to1:06:15pastor about 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Bro would1:06:21always cut me off at like 1 because what1:06:24I realized I was trying to do was I1:06:27thought that fellowshipping was just1:06:29sharing my thoughts. No. Fellowshipping1:06:33is rejecting my thoughts and accepting1:06:35what pastor has to say to me by belief1:06:38and by faith. So, this is really1:06:40beautiful main stages in that you can't1:06:41really talk. Why? Because God then has1:06:44to guide to be able to guide you at your1:06:46heart. But what do we think fellowship1:06:48is? I say one thing, you say one thing.1:06:51I do one thing, you do one thing. That's1:06:52not what it is. Never has pastor ever1:06:55placated to my emotions or my feelings.1:06:57In fact, he always went against it and1:06:59he always told me what I needed to hear,1:07:01not what I wanted to hear. Right? Jeremy1:07:03started off like that, too. Where he'll1:07:05bring all of his big brain stuff and now1:07:07all he does is just listen to what1:07:09pastor has to say because we as servants1:07:11know exactly what you need to hear. You1:07:13just don't think that and you just don't1:07:15know that. Understand?1:07:16Right? Anybody who's been around me for1:07:19any moment, genuinely the people who1:07:21come like last week there was homies1:07:23that came we were eating and I didn't1:07:25speak a lick of the gospel.1:07:27I was just eating being a big back. So1:07:29much so that one of the brothers was1:07:31like, "Bro Johnny, you're so quiet. Is1:07:33it cuz the food is good?" I'm like,1:07:35"Absolutely." But what they don't1:07:36realize is I'm just listening and I'm1:07:38contemplating. Dang, if I say this what1:07:42they need to hear, are they able to1:07:43truly listen to what I'm saying? So we1:07:45spent the whole day and the last 151:07:48minutes I gave the unlocks to what I1:07:49needed to give and they were thankful.1:07:52Right? But if you notice I wasn't like1:07:54preaching the gospel really. It was more1:07:57of what is this person do they have the1:07:59right heart posture? So you have to1:08:00spend time to know these things. Amen.1:08:03But a lot of you guys, you think1:08:06evangelism is Jesus in every line. Jesus1:08:09in every situation. Jesus in every1:08:11circumstance. Do you know what you're1:08:12doing with that? Like the brother who1:08:14came in and said about his wife. I know1:08:16Johnny said this, Johnny said that,1:08:18Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. At the end they1:08:19hate me and they hate me and they hate1:08:21you and they hate Jesus because they're1:08:23sick and tired of hearing those things.1:08:24Makes sense? They're sick and tired of1:08:27hearing those things. Right? So I think1:08:29you have to realize that. But you guys1:08:32always, man. I've never taught you guys1:08:35to be Jesus freaks like that. I've never1:08:37taught you guys that. Understand? I1:08:39never said, "Undermine everybody and1:08:41their feelings and just talk about Jesus1:08:44in every single thing." Like I've said,1:08:46"Look for Jesus in every line." I didn't1:08:48say every line that comes out of your1:08:49mouth is Jesus though. Makes sense?1:08:52Right? When you guys do that, do you1:08:54know what you're doing? You're doing1:08:56that for yourself, too. You're doing1:08:58that so you can feel validated because1:09:00you have no faith. You have no faith1:09:02that God validated you 2,000 years ago.1:09:04That's the problem. That's why you have1:09:06to show those things to people.1:09:08And or it goes on the opposite end of1:09:10the spectrum. You just be quiet because1:09:11you think you're not qualified to even1:09:13speak. Makes sense?1:09:15So then you go the opposite end. I'm not1:09:17going to say nothing then. It's cool.1:09:18God will work. Johnny said God will1:09:20work.1:09:21But we hide behind that, right? It's a1:09:23balance, brothers and sisters. It's a1:09:24balance of all things.1:09:27Right? The balance is am I listening to1:09:30this person? Am I hearing their heart?1:09:32Right? People who are not seasoned, they1:09:34don't even listen to that. They don't1:09:35care. They just Jesus Jesus Jesus. Yeah,1:09:37the power of Jesus the Holy Ghost Spirit1:09:39the Holy Ghost like man, shut the faith1:09:41up, bro. Respectfully. Many times when I1:09:44hear that, that's what happened was1:09:45happening last time, too. Right? Where I1:09:48was uh I was in Europe and one of these1:09:50pastors just didn't have nunchi. They1:09:53were not nunchi but they nunchi also,1:09:54which means like they didn't have1:09:55situational awareness. Right? This1:09:57person who's a documentarian was coming1:09:59to me and he he's going to we're going1:10:01to film like a three-part series and1:10:02document These guys got Sony red1:10:04cameras, 30 40,000 50,000 rigs. It's1:10:07crazy. Right? He wants to basically put1:10:10us on, you know, Prime Video and, you1:10:12know, Netflix and whatever, right? It's1:10:14like really cool, right? So we're1:10:15creating this and we're we're we're1:10:17going to to work. And so he flew out him1:10:20and his family to to record us and1:10:23create some documentary footage, which1:10:24is really cool. But a lot of these1:10:27pastors were like these pastors. There's1:10:28a pastor has a one one-track speed. Like1:10:32they have one gear. One-track mind.1:10:35Right? The gear ratio is just you know,1:10:39me me me I I I or Jesus Jesus Jesus.1:10:42So he asked him, you know, hey, what1:10:44what So what what's tell me about your1:10:46story? You're a believer. He's like, oh,1:10:47no, I'm not a believer. He's like, why1:10:49not? He's like, well, I see myself as1:10:51like being very spiritual.1:10:53And he goes, what the hell does that1:10:54even mean? That That mean anything.1:10:56And he just kind of like looked at him1:10:58and we're just like, "Yo." And I just1:10:59looked at this dude and I was like,1:11:00"What are you doing right now? Right?1:11:02You're the exact reason why this guy1:11:03left Catholicism and whatever, right?1:11:05That was what I was thinking, too.1:11:07Right? So, I felt this righteous anger,1:11:08to be honest.1:11:10And he was just like, "They do1:11:11witchcraft, brother. Like, all paths1:11:13lead back to Jesus, man. Like, you just1:11:16got to You just got to believe, man."1:11:17You know, he's like forcing him.1:11:19And he's like, "No, this is This is1:11:20actually a a good witch. This witch1:11:22fights the other witches and helps to1:11:25heal people." Like, no, there's no such1:11:26thing as a good witch. Anyways, he keeps1:11:28going. Right there, I'm cringing inside,1:11:30right? But, at the end, talked to him in1:11:32the hotel room and I I spoke to1:11:34that person and I said, "Hey, I1:11:35apologize. You know, obviously these1:11:37aren't part of our church." But, he's1:11:39like, "Oh, no, no worries." And he felt1:11:40a lot more relief because1:11:42I was able to, you know, let him know1:11:44like, "Hey, we don't all align with that1:11:45type of stuff." And I believe that if1:11:47you come to God on your own, I I I I1:11:49just at the end, I hope I pray that1:11:51you're happy and you're peaceful. And he1:11:53really really loved me like, you know,1:11:54as as a friend. And he really1:11:56appreciated that, right?1:11:58Now, the issue with that is we're like1:12:00that, a lot of us, in a lot of ways.1:12:02Make sense? We only care about1:12:04ourselves. We only think about like,1:12:07even amongst the gospel. Like, "Yeah,1:12:09people are receiving the gospel. Yeah."1:12:11But, it's like really for yourself, if1:12:13you really think about it, you know?1:12:15When somebody receives salvation,1:12:17especially through me, right? Of course,1:12:18we get happy.1:12:20But, one thing, do you know what I what1:12:22what pops up in my mind after that? Take1:12:24a wild guess what pops up in my mind.1:12:27Think about it. Let's see if you guys1:12:29are discerned. Let's say someone sits1:12:31there and and they receive salvation.1:12:33Let's say a church gets even planted1:12:36because of us. And they receive1:12:38salvation. People all amongst us and1:12:39around us are seeking salvation and1:12:41actually receive salvation, right? And I1:12:44feel happy, right? Obviously, cuz I'm1:12:47I'm human. I want people to receive1:12:48salvation, just like you guys do. That's1:12:50from God. But, then the the thought that1:12:52comes up after that, what do you think1:12:53it is? It's through the grace of God.1:12:55No. Are they really getting it? No. Hope1:12:58they don't turn into a Pharisee. Nope.1:12:59You're nothing, Johnny. Not necessarily.1:13:01Humble me, Lord. I'm doing so well. I1:13:03saved them. Nope. I did that. Yes, I did1:13:05that. No. Nope. Do you know what comes1:13:07up to me?1:13:08What comes up in my mind? I'm so1:13:10corrupted. That's what comes up to my1:13:12mind all the time. What do you mean? I'm1:13:14a person that I don't care about the1:13:16gospel, but I'm acting like I do.1:13:18Interesting. I'm not a person who's1:13:20good. See, I'm not like you guys. You1:13:22guys, when you see you go, "Oh my gosh!1:13:24Yes! People are getting saved." I'm not1:13:27like that. The way that I am is I go,1:13:30"Man, I'm hella corrupted. Never would I1:13:32ever care about anybody getting saved."1:13:35That's me. So, then where is this heart1:13:37coming from? Oh, this heart to be happy1:13:39is God's heart. Oh, Johnny, look at you.1:13:41You don't even realize why you're1:13:43corrupted. Is you try to take God's1:13:45heart, too, and take credit for God's1:13:47heart. That's not even your heart. That1:13:49is God's heart. He has to place that1:13:50inside of you. You're nothing. Right? Of1:13:52course, you're nothing. But it goes1:13:54deeper than that, though. Amen? There1:13:55are levels to this, brothers and1:13:57sisters, right? But people don't even1:13:59realize this heart posture. So, then1:14:01what What do people try to do? Even1:14:02after hearing this, what do they hear? I1:14:04got to do this. I got to do this. That's1:14:06also corruption. No, like did you hear1:14:08what I said? God has to give you that1:14:09heart is what I'm saying. But what do we1:14:11hear? I got to do this. I got to learn1:14:12from this. I got to I got to apply this1:14:14now. What do you mean you apply? Apply1:14:16to have more gratitude? Sure. But1:14:18remember that gratitude has to come from1:14:20God. Many people, they don't even1:14:21listen. They don't want to listen. What1:14:23they care about is for whatever reason.1:14:26It could be a million reasons, right?1:14:28Pastor Park one time told one of the1:14:29pastors, "Hey, you got this huge1:14:31church." And they did. They got a1:14:32humongous church, right? I'm not going1:14:34to say the location, but they did.1:14:36Pastor said Pastor Park, he's OG. He1:14:38said, "How do you feel, honestly?" He1:14:40goes, "I feel good." He goes, "You feel1:14:41good, right?" He goes, "Yeah. Oh, many1:14:43people are going to come here. They're1:14:44going to receive salvation, right?"1:14:45Yeah. Yeah. 100%. And then he goes, "Be1:14:48careful, brother. Be careful." Just1:14:50rained on his parade. What? What do you1:14:52mean, pastor? Like, be careful. But,1:14:54this is from God. Doesn't Don't they1:14:56want salvation? He's like, "You see?1:14:58Right there, you've already been1:14:59corrupted. Look at your thoughts." He's1:15:01like, "Amen, pastor." How can you get a1:15:03building like this? Because of God. How1:15:05come you're exalted? Because of God. Why1:15:07do they receive salvation? Because1:15:08that's what God wants. So, let's say1:15:10they don't You get this building and1:15:11they don't come to church. With the1:15:13heart that you have, you're going to be1:15:14unhappy. There are levels to this. So,1:15:17on the right side, it works. Yeah, guys.1:15:20They're receiving salvation. Yeah. But,1:15:22what if you go out there and no one1:15:24receives salvation? Then what happens to1:15:25you? Oh, what? God didn't work. Is that1:15:28true? Look at how cunning Satan is. Make1:15:31sense? Right? So, you guys always have1:15:33to be cautious about those things. You1:15:35cannot live spiritual life if you're1:15:37focusing on the gospel and what you see,1:15:39even if it comes to the gospel.1:15:41Understand what I'm saying? Make sense?1:15:43Right? Last night I told my buddy that I1:15:44received salvation from Jesus only. He's1:15:47trying to give me the credit to give1:15:48myself credit. I referred to the word1:15:50and was like, "Nah, bro. But, that's not1:15:51even your real heart, either.1:15:52Respectfully." Make sense? You You want1:15:55recognition, right? You You do. 100%.1:15:58Like all of us do, right? So, the real1:16:00heart has to be from who? It has to say1:16:02God, right? No, no, no. It's not just1:16:04directing the credit. Yeah, I'm that1:16:05person who would want that credit. You1:16:07know, pastor, he's so gangster, right?1:16:09Pastor Park, when he spoke to the judge,1:16:12he said something so valid. The judge1:16:14said, "Hey, like all pastors, what would1:16:16you do when you're embezzling money,1:16:18right? A lot of people embezzle money,1:16:19right? You know what he said? So, let's1:16:21say someone comes up to you, right,1:16:23guys? Let's say you're on trial for1:16:25embezzling, I don't know, $10 million1:16:27embezzlement, right? Let's say. What1:16:29would you respond to that? Hey, there's1:16:31evidence that you've embezzled money,1:16:33and we know that most people, cuz human1:16:35beings are evil and wicked, you1:16:37embezzled money. So, you're going to1:16:38You're facing 10 years in prison because1:16:40of this, right? How would you respond to1:16:42the judge, right, when they ask you to1:16:44to take the stand? Cuz they're going to.1:16:47I'm sorry, then you're going to prison.1:16:48My bad, lol, going to prison, right?1:16:51Take a wild guess what he said what what1:16:54my pastor said that was hella biblical1:16:56but also like crazy that shifted the1:16:58whole courtroom, right? Take a wild1:17:00guess. No words. Wow, silence. Look to1:17:03see if you can see our posture here. You1:17:05don't know what to say. Uh-oh, all of a1:17:07sudden no one knows what to say. Let God1:17:09be the judge. Yeah, and then you go to1:17:10prison. He is the judge. Where is my1:17:12lawyer? No clue. It wasn't me. You know1:17:14what he said that was kind of wild. He1:17:17said, "Judge, I myself I love money. Who1:17:21doesn't?" He goes, "But what I've1:17:23learned was because I love money, I1:17:26learned through King David, I learned1:17:28through the stories of Judas, I learned1:17:31through the Bible that I cannot be1:17:32trusted. So, therefore, I wasn't1:17:35involved in the money because if I put1:17:37my hand in it, I would fall into it,1:17:38too." I realized that about myself,1:17:41right? They were shocked. What? Most1:17:43people what do they do? Oh, no, I am a1:17:45great pa- I don't love money. I don't1:17:46lie. I'm not Yeah. Yeah, right. What did1:17:49he say? I love money. Of course. I'm1:17:51human. Who doesn't? But also because I1:17:54know that, I didn't trust myself since1:17:56the age of 19 years old. So, not only1:17:58did he give his testimony and preach the1:17:59gospel in the courtroom, he was able to1:18:01then turn the verdict. Make sense?1:18:02Right? In the same way, who really has1:18:05that level of heart? Not a lot of us,1:18:07right? We're all children. How sad,1:18:09isn't it? So, what am I trying to help1:18:10you guys, right? Realize that I'm a1:18:13person that I cannot trust my thoughts1:18:16and my feelings ever. Whether good or1:18:18bad, I need to go to the word. Is God1:18:20happy? Yes. God's happy when people1:18:23receive salvation. He's not happy cuz1:18:25you did it, though. And are you really1:18:26happy? No, because you don't care about1:18:29the gospel. However, it is God's heart1:18:31that he imputes into you so that you can1:18:33share the happiness with him. Always1:18:35remember that. But we don't even think1:18:37like this. We don't care. Do you1:18:38understand what I'm saying? We don't1:18:40care. We care about I'm so empty and now1:18:43I feel happy. Yeah, guys. That in itself1:18:47there's levels to this like I said.1:18:48Amen. Do you guys understand what I'm1:18:50saying? Right? I don't care how much you1:18:52know about the Bible. I don't care how1:18:54how nice your walk is. I don't even care1:18:56how many disciples you have. If you1:18:57don't have the heart to understand at1:19:00the very least that you can never have1:19:01that heart, then at the end of the day,1:19:04respectfully, you've missed Jesus in all1:19:07of that. What Jesus wants to teach us,1:19:10guys, more than anything in the Bible is1:19:13this heart. You cannot do it without me.1:19:15The heart that that you have is not even1:19:18from you. Understand? Right? It's from1:19:22me. So the heart of happiness, the heart1:19:24to listen, all of that is from me. So1:19:26does that mean that you don't try to1:19:27listen and you oh well, I have to1:19:28receive the heart. No, that's hiding1:19:30behind it. You believe the word. Ezekiel1:19:3236:26, God has put a new heart in me.1:19:35And your new heart is to distrust the1:19:37old heart based off of feelings and what1:19:39you think and what you right? Do you1:19:41understand? There's a lot of depth here,1:19:43but I hope you guys can understand what1:19:44I'm actually saying here. Your new heart1:19:46is the one to distrust your old heart.1:19:48My heart cannot be trusted. Only the1:19:50word can. So then go to the word or go1:19:52to the people who know the word. Right?1:19:54There's times where I don't even feel1:19:56like pastor is correct in reading my1:19:58heart posture. But what do I do? I1:20:00follow and I trust the word. I trust the1:20:02word through him. Amen. But do you guys1:20:04do the same? God forbid I say something1:20:07about your heart. No, pastor, I think1:20:08that was a misunderstanding. That's not1:20:10what I actually feel. No. No, that's1:20:12fine. Or then you start getting butt1:20:13hurt and you just amen everything. But1:20:15Johnny, I've been watching you. I've1:20:16been following you. Amen. Amen. Amen.1:20:19Amen. What are you amening? Amen. Amen.1:20:23Yeah, amen. Amen the amening. What? What1:20:25are you talking about right now? I'm1:20:27amening the the fact that you're talking1:20:29about me, too. Yeah. What? Right?1:20:33How about you listen? Amen. To1:20:35everything is this. Makes sense? Right?1:20:38I'm not trying to make it as a joke. You1:20:39guys have to realize that. Amen. It's1:20:41just how it is. We're not good people.1:20:44We don't deserve any type of love, but1:20:46yet God gave us love. So beautiful.1:20:48Genuinely beautiful. Right? That's cuz1:20:50he's good. Don't get it twisted. That's1:20:52cuz he's good. Not us. We're not good.1:20:55I'm not good. Makes sense? Right?1:20:57Understand? I've had people go against1:20:59me. I've had all these things, but why1:21:00don't I trip out about it? Because I1:21:02know I'm not good. That's what it is.1:21:04Right? That's what it is. So it's like1:21:06they don't need to listen to you,1:21:07Johnny. Respectfully. Right? Genuinely1:21:10think about all the times they don't1:21:11need to listen to you. Right? What? Just1:21:13cuz your life is leveled up now and you1:21:15actually receive salvation and preach1:21:17the gospel boldly, they got to listen to1:21:19you? They don't got to listen to you.1:21:21Right? And then that heart comes to me1:21:24of like, "Dang." But if they did listen,1:21:27how pitiful when they don't listen. They1:21:30just keep fighting. Understand? Makes1:21:32sense? Right? So if we focus that on1:21:36that, I'm sorry, then you start to learn1:21:38to overcome all things. You can take1:21:41criticizing and and judgment. You can1:21:43take all the negative things in your1:21:44life if you realize those things. Makes1:21:46sense? Right? It's so much easier to1:21:49live realizing that you can't really do1:21:51anything in your life. Because you come1:21:53to that conclusion, then you can do1:21:55everything through Christ. That's what1:21:57it says. Right? But a lot of us, even1:22:00when we hear this message,1:22:01unfortunately, it's really sad, will go1:22:04over our heads and we'll just keep going1:22:06back to what we think anyways. Right?1:22:08Because all we care about is1:22:10specifically with the one thing we care1:22:12about. It's just how it is at the end of1:22:14the day. If you really think about it.1:22:16Right? Why can't people listen? Because1:22:18they they don't really care about1:22:20anything, including God. They care about1:22:22what God can do for them. It could be a1:22:24spouse. It could be getting a house. It1:22:26could be making money or a career. It1:22:28could be temporarily like, "Dang, I want1:22:30to struggle right now." So, I found this1:22:32guy who can make it make sense to me.1:22:33And as soon as it stops making sense to1:22:35you or you get out of your struggle,1:22:36you're out of here, too. So sad.1:22:38But then there are those people who1:22:40truly want to live for Jesus, not1:22:42because they want to, but because they1:22:43can't live for themselves anymore. Those1:22:46people, they level up deep in ways that1:22:50you can't even explain. It's kind of1:22:52wild, right, guys?1:22:53Right?1:22:54>> Nobody told me that faith would be this1:22:55lonely. I thought when I gave my life to1:22:57God, everything would just click.1:22:59Community, peace, direction. A lot of us1:23:01are out here just trying to figure it1:23:03out alone. Your family thinks it's a1:23:04phase. You go to church on Sunday,1:23:06you're smiling, and then on Monday,1:23:08reality hits and you're back alone in1:23:10your home, in your thoughts. I know1:23:12exactly what that's like. I got out of1:23:14prison at the age of 25. I didn't have a1:23:16church home, I didn't have friends, I1:23:17didn't even really have family to back1:23:19me up. I had God, I had a Bible, but1:23:21more importantly than anything, I had a1:23:23pastor who I could lean on, ask1:23:25questions, and to just receive1:23:26mentorship and have fellowship with. And1:23:28the thing that changed everything for me1:23:30wasn't just studying alone, it was1:23:31actually having someone I could bring my1:23:33real questions to. Not the Sunday school1:23:35questions, the real ones, the ones that1:23:37keep you up at night. The ones that make1:23:39you feel unworthy because you can't1:23:41figure it out on your own, therefore you1:23:43feel as if you're less of a Christian.1:23:44That's why every single Saturday at1:23:4610:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, I go1:23:47live inside the Core of the Heart Daily1:23:49App. First, we do a full Bible class,1:23:51real teaching, not that surface level1:23:53stuff. We go super deep. You were never1:23:55supposed to do this alone, and now you1:23:57don't have to. Bible class every1:23:58Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard1:24:00Time. Can't wait to see you guys there.1:24:02>> I think we all need to learn to1:24:04truly focus on God and not try to teach1:24:07anything. Just listening is like, you1:24:09can spend all your life listening and1:24:11you'll be good, right?1:24:12I think genuinely. Right? Cuz the saving1:24:15God is going to do. Like, I never had1:24:17any intention to save people. But God, I1:24:19think utilized me to save a lot of1:24:20people because I didn't I can't then1:24:22boast about it. Genuinely I can't,1:24:24right? I can't get butt hurt about it1:24:26when, you know, all these things like1:24:28the only thing that I I think irks me is1:24:30when God presents himself through the1:24:33scriptures and we still choose our1:24:35thoughts and feelings and all that stuff1:24:38above him, right? That's the thing that1:24:40that I personally can't slide, let1:24:43slide, or like I personally can't. It's1:24:45like, "Dang, he's that good and we're1:24:47still like, 'But more, but more, but1:24:49more'" is kind of crazy. And I say this1:24:50about myself, too, right? But God works,1:24:53right? It's okay. He's going to work1:24:55regardless, right? Whether you believe1:24:58or not, he's still going to work, right?1:25:00I think that's pretty much it. I mean, I1:25:02don't think there's anything else that I1:25:04really need to focus on except that. I1:25:08think that yeah, you guys can listen1:25:10that listen to that, grow from that,1:25:13you know? Again, when those thoughts of1:25:15I need validation comes up, fight it.1:25:18You have the power to fight it. Don't1:25:20let the enemy play, right? Amen.1:25:23Sometimes we have to shake up the cage,1:25:25too.1:25:26I think that's the most important thing.1:25:28We can't just keep sitting there letting1:25:31him talk to us however he wants. Uh1:25:33there's times we have to fight back. Do1:25:35it one time. Try and if you lose, get up1:25:37and try again. It's not your family,1:25:39it's not anyone, it's Satan who's trying1:25:41to play with you. Through your friends,1:25:43through your family, through even1:25:45yourself. Seriously, even through self.1:25:48It's kind of crazy, but no matter how1:25:50sweet it sounds, if it's not scriptural,1:25:53we have to throw it away. We have to.1:25:56It's a commandment, by the by the way,1:25:58to renew your mind, right? To remove1:26:01that from your thoughts, your feelings,1:26:02your emotions. Understand? And take1:26:05walks of faith, leaps of faith, too.1:26:07Support the cause with those. Help us as1:26:10well by listening and becoming better.1:26:12I'm not talking about financially, of1:26:13course that helps, too. Truly grow so1:26:16that we can spread across this world1:26:18this precious gospel. Understand? Make1:26:21sense? How long it took me to quit drugs1:26:24has nothing to do with how long you'll1:26:26it takes you to quit drugs. I mean,1:26:28respectfully. Right? When you stop1:26:30leaning on your feelings more than God,1:26:32you will quit right away. You'll go cold1:26:34turkey. That's the God honest truth.1:26:37Right? It's not that difficult. You have1:26:39to sit there and you have to think about1:26:40what God wants. Is this from God or is1:26:44this from me? [snorts]1:26:46Well, the drugs ain't from me. And you1:26:48have to tell everybody else too who's1:26:50who's who's connected to you that too.1:26:52No, these drugs are not from from God,1:26:54they're from me. I want to do these1:26:56things. That desire to do it is not from1:26:57God, it's from me or [snorts] the enemy.1:27:00We have to, you know, not trust our1:27:02thoughts. Whatever thoughts that come up1:27:04after that, we have to distrust.1:27:06Understand? Right? Like like that1:27:08thought of I am not able to do these at1:27:11all. Yeah, that thought is also not from1:27:13God. So, again, right? Like I said, what1:27:16did I just What did I just say? Any1:27:17thoughts, right, that pop up after like1:27:20when not sober, it does feel more1:27:22difficult to not trust them for real.1:27:24Right? Again, trumping the word of what,1:27:27you know, God is saying. More scarier1:27:30than falling into the drugs, brothers1:27:32and sisters, is when God says something1:27:34through the word through the servant and1:27:37we're like, "But but but for real1:27:38though, like it still feels like that."1:27:40Like, "Good, then burn." Understand?1:27:42That's That's where you're going to end.1:27:44I mean, then struggle till you die. If1:27:47you guys think about it, that's what1:27:48we're doing. Word of God says, "Nah, I'm1:27:51good." That's not what the word of God1:27:52says. Jesus says, "I am the way, the1:27:54light." No, no, no, no, no, no, no.1:27:55Buddhism, Hinduism, all that is the way1:27:57too. Calm down, Christians. Okay, then1:27:59burn. There's nothing else you can do.1:28:02Do you understand? There's no other1:28:03route then. Yeah, you're a new creature.1:28:05Nah, but for real though, when I'm sober1:28:06though, hey, bro, that thing does it if1:28:09it's it's difficult, bro. I ain't going1:28:11to lie. Okay, yeah, then God's word is1:28:14garbage and and it's nothing. Straight1:28:16up, it's nothing. We don't even feel1:28:18that. That's the problem with us.1:28:20Understand what I'm saying? Right?1:28:22Makes sense?1:28:23So, then have that conversation with1:28:25them. Say, "Hey, it's really difficult."1:28:27And really think, is it truly verbal1:28:29abuse, right? What are they saying1:28:31that's verbally abusive? Right? And you1:28:33have to tell them, "Hey, guys, like I'm1:28:35human. Do you guys know that if you do1:28:37this, it's going to cause me to crash1:28:38out or leave or do something evil and1:28:41wicked? Like, I don't want to do that.1:28:42Can we have an honest conversation? Do1:28:44you think I'm stupid? Is that why? Like,1:28:46I'm human. I'm your wife. I'm your mom.1:28:49Like, as dumb as I am, like, do I1:28:51deserve the abuse? As flawed as I am, as1:28:53weak as I am, as as cranky and hard to1:28:56deal with as I am, I deserve to be1:28:58verbally abused, yeah?" That's all you1:28:59have to ask them, right? And if they go,1:29:01"Yeah." Then you'll be like, "Hey, I1:29:03think you're you're saying that out of1:29:04emotion. So, you really believe that?1:29:06So, then if I just go away forever,1:29:07it'll make your guys' lives better? What1:29:09if I said that to you? And what if Jesus1:29:12did that to you? What if God said, "You1:29:14sinned too much. Get the hell away from1:29:15me. You deserve all of this. Get out of1:29:17here." Come on, guys, like, really? I1:29:19can work on things. I'm not saying I'm1:29:21messed like, right? I'm not saying I'm1:29:22perfect. I need grace, though. That's1:29:24why my name is Grace. Like, but can you1:29:26guys help me? Instead of just yelling at1:29:28me and saying that I'm stupid and I'm an1:29:30idiot and blah blah blah. Like, can you1:29:31stop verbally abusing me and help me?1:29:33What is it that I need to do?" And1:29:35really listen to them. Really listen to1:29:37them. Well, the thing the reason why you1:29:38get me so mad is because I tell you not1:29:41to do this and you keep doing that.1:29:42Okay, what then can we do? Let's focus1:29:45on a solution here. What shall I do? I1:29:47tell you to not wash my clothes. All you1:29:49do is shrink my freaking clothes. I'm1:29:51telling you not to do that. Then don't1:29:52do that. It's a matter of compromising1:29:55and listening and going, "What is it1:29:56that that happens?" Because to be1:29:58honest, people don't just do As messed1:30:00up as they are, people don't just do1:30:02that. Even people who are traumatized.1:30:04Like, I deal with the most traumatized1:30:06people in the world, right? People who1:30:08are in prison. And the one thing they1:30:10want is just to feel heard. That's the1:30:12number one thing that they want.1:30:13Understand? It's like what what did you1:30:15like what happened? Man, F F God, bro. A1:30:19black He was like, "Man, F God,1:30:21homie. He let my homie die, bro. On1:30:24everything." He's like, "I hate God.1:30:25Man, F God. I don't know why you listen1:30:27to this mother F-er." He said that1:30:28straight to my face. And I was like,1:30:30"Shoot. That's how I feel sometimes." He1:30:32looked at me crazy like, "What?" Uh1:30:35sure, that's how I feel, too. A A for1:30:37real, man. I had a homie who died in my1:30:38arms, too. What? Then why you believe in1:30:41God? Did you just hear that? Why do you1:30:43believe in God then? And then I was able1:30:46to speak about it. Right? But what would1:30:47you guys do? F God. F you. You know,1:30:50don't talk about my Messiah like, you1:30:52know, or you'd be like, "I understand."1:30:54No, you don't understand, actually. You1:30:57don't understand, right?1:30:59Right, there's ways to to overturn a1:31:01person's heart. It's not that hard.1:31:03Amen, right? But you can't think about1:31:05yourself first. I'll tell you that much,1:31:07right? So, talk to your person about1:31:10that. Does that make sense, Grace? Like,1:31:12talk to them. Talk to your kids, too.1:31:13That's You're the mom. They have to1:31:15respect you. So, you talk to them. Don't1:31:17add any thoughts. Just Just do it. And1:31:20you'll see. And it'll mess up, and it1:31:22might not work the first time. Then come1:31:23back through and ask again. Hey Johnny,1:31:26I went and I did that. That's called1:31:27guidance. I did that, and they they hurt1:31:29my feelings. Cuz look, think about it.1:31:31You don't say anything, you're still1:31:32going to get verbally abused. You say1:31:34something, you're still going to get1:31:34verbally abused. So, why not just say1:31:36something? Why not? Why not move by1:31:38faith, right? What's the worst that can1:31:40happen when you move by faith? You mean1:31:42you end up in the same place again?1:31:44Don't have expectations. Just talk to1:31:46them. Just talk. I'm going to speak.1:31:48Let's see what happens.1:31:50They shoot me down, they shoot me down,1:31:52right? I'm I'm where am I? At the bottom1:31:54of where I already am, anyways. That's1:31:56the thing about fear. It It's not1:31:58rational. Amen. Speak up, but don't be1:32:00disrespectful. But also watch the1:32:02salvation video if you aren't fully1:32:04saved yet. And don't just you can't1:32:06just, you know, it's been like this for1:32:08years, yeah. That's why you got to try1:32:10and speak to him, right? And really1:32:13think about it. There's other ways.1:32:14There's always a way to to work it out,1:32:17right? Because verbal verbal abuse isn't1:32:19all the case. Now, if they want to1:32:21continue doing that, right? Cuz1:32:23counseling it's great and all, but I1:32:26think if you just try what I said where1:32:27you go up to them and you explain to him1:32:30what you're feeling, right? And and hear1:32:33him out, right? Cuz cuz I think I don't1:32:35know know your situation. Well, like I1:32:38kind of gave you some pretty good1:32:39advice, I would say, right? But then I1:32:42noticed that you only speak what you1:32:43think. Look, I've tried. We've had1:32:45counseling at our church. It's been like1:32:47this for years. So, what you're telling1:32:48me, Grace, and I guess what you want me1:32:50to tell you if I'm being honest is,1:32:52well, then too bad. You're just going to1:32:53be in a a verbal relationship abusive1:32:55relationship and your kid will never1:32:57ever help you. Like if if I take what1:32:59you say, right? If I take what you say,1:33:01that's the only conclusion it's going to1:33:03end at. Do you understand what I'm1:33:04saying? But I can't do that because1:33:06obviously I'm a I believe in Jesus. And1:33:09you should believe in Jesus, too, right?1:33:11So, what I'm telling you is to do it by1:33:13faith, right? Not lean on a counselor to1:33:15help you, but actually lean on God and1:33:16go the great counselor, right? As the1:33:18Bible tells us, Isaiah 9:6. So, we have1:33:20to just lean on him, right? Try try1:33:21again. Try again and keep trying. But1:33:24it's important to walk by faith with a1:33:26different heart posture, not1:33:28expectations, but by faith. And so, to1:33:31do that is to go, I'm going to talk to1:33:33him, you know,1:33:35and I'm going to pray before I talk to1:33:37him. And I'm just going to ask like,1:33:39what is it that I need to do? And you be1:33:42honest with yourself. Is there anything1:33:44that's triggering that? Then ask God to1:33:46change that inside of you, too. Because1:33:48to be honest, it can't always be1:33:49one-sided. It's like I'm an angel and I1:33:52swear I don't do anything. It's like1:33:53that's never really the case to be1:33:55honest. You may think that, but then1:33:58that in itself could cause a lot of1:34:00damage to people and frustration to1:34:02other people, right? When you're being1:34:04too perfect, like maybe even those1:34:06things. We don't even know. So, that's1:34:08why it's important to ask. Like, "Hey,1:34:10we've done counsel, we've done that.1:34:11Forget all of that. Can you tell me what1:34:14you what makes you the most mad about1:34:16me?" And trust me, they will let off a1:34:18bunch of stuff and literally take out1:34:20your paper and write down what he says.1:34:22You don't listen, you're stubborn, you1:34:24think you're all that, right? Okay, give1:34:25me a second. I'll only listen, I'm1:34:27stubborn, and I'm all that. At the very1:34:29least, they're going to be like, "What1:34:30the hell? This is crazy. You pulled out1:34:32a piece of paper?" Do you know why I'm1:34:33pulling out this piece of paper? Because1:34:35I genuinely want to learn, right? I1:34:38don't know. I obviously have my1:34:40problems. I think I'm right. My pastor1:34:42just told me that I don't really listen,1:34:44right? So, I want to try to work and1:34:47listen, right? That's what it is. And1:34:50when you do that, I think people will1:34:51see that growth, right? Even the worst1:34:53people, when we see that they listen and1:34:54they're trying, we give them leeway,1:34:56too. How much more so your husband and1:34:58your wife, right? It's just true. It's1:35:00the truth. But, I see you typing, so1:35:03let's see what it is. I do appreciate1:35:05what you're saying, and yes, we both1:35:06have done wrong to each other. He has1:35:07said he refuses to forgive me for my1:35:09wrongdoing. There you go. So, that's1:35:11what the issue is. You did something1:35:13wrong to him. He's having either1:35:14retroactive jealousy or he's not able to1:35:16overcome those things. And during that1:35:18time, you have to not only pray, but1:35:21talk to him and be like, "Hey, I think1:35:23the solution is to not talk about that1:35:26part cuz it's just going to How do I1:35:27say? It's just going to bring up trauma.1:35:31What do you want from me? What can I do?1:35:34Do you want me to leave?1:35:35You want me to like during those times1:35:37that that's happening, what can I do to1:35:39better like Fine, I'll put myself aside.1:35:42What can I do for you to make you like1:35:44feel better that you can forgive me1:35:46because I love you and I do want you to1:35:48forgive me, obviously, right? And you1:35:51have to be honest with yourself, too. Do1:35:53you love him? Or is it more that you1:35:55just want him to respect you? Then at1:35:57the core, that doesn't incentivize1:35:59anybody to grow, either, right? It's1:36:01obviously a trauma pain that was caused1:36:03by you, right? So, we have to also be1:36:05real here and think like, what is it1:36:07that what what is it that I want? Do I1:36:09just want him to respect me? Do I think1:36:11that I deserve the respect, even? But1:36:14also then I'm of course undermining him1:36:16and and and his feelings, then.1:36:18Right? Is he saved, fully saved? Like,1:36:21maybe, but that's why I think for you,1:36:23you just got to grow more in the gospel1:36:25and focus on the gospel. Genuinely learn1:36:28more about the gospel, learn from me how1:36:30I'm gaining hearts, and and then you can1:36:32then apply that. So, for now, you might1:36:33have to endure it a little bit, as sad1:36:35as that sounds. Understand? There you1:36:36go. Yeah, so if he's not saved, then we1:36:39are the ones that have to have faith,1:36:40then. Okay, so he So, now that's the1:36:42issue, he's not saved, right? That's the1:36:44first thing that needs that, not the1:36:45verbal abuse. He's not saved, so that's1:36:48what is is operation number one, right?1:36:51We have to focus on that, right? So, you1:36:53just have to sit there and just Okay,1:36:55I'm going to learn more about God, and1:36:57just really truly apologize, and just1:36:59say, "Hey, I'm I'm sorry, you know, I'm1:37:00learning more about God now." And um I1:37:03know that even though you're yelling at1:37:04me, I know that in your heart, there's1:37:06something that you don't want to. So,1:37:08for you, I would read Romans 7:15 and1:37:11Romans 7 uh 19 and 20. Those are two key1:37:14verses that'll help you and to1:37:15understand him and what he's going1:37:17through, too, right? All right, Romans1:37:207:15, Romans 7:19 and 20. Like I said,1:37:23you don't struggle with lust, you1:37:25struggle with yourself, trusting in1:37:26yourself. Are you trust the word of God,1:37:28or you trust yourself, like I said.1:37:31Right? Everything stems from this, guys.1:37:33Trusting in yourself. Cuz when lust1:37:35comes up, and you know that it that1:37:36that's not from you, but you just take1:37:38it like it's from you, that's why you1:37:40keep doing it. One time you have to bend1:37:42that heart. No, this isn't from me. I1:37:44don't care how good it feels, it's not1:37:46from me. Then you're able to fight it.1:37:48But if you're like, "Oh, but I love it.1:37:50It feels so good." Then you make it a1:37:51part of you. Now, imagine trying to give1:37:53up something you love. How easy is that?1:37:55It becomes 10 times more difficult. But1:37:57if you go, "That's not mine. That's not1:37:59from me." You toss this out right now.1:38:01You toss it easily. But you take1:38:03ownership of it, like I said. Re-listen1:38:05to this main stage, right? Like I said,1:38:08I'm not going to give you guys1:38:09practicality just so you can feel better1:38:11and then leave God. I want you to fix it1:38:12at the root. I'm sorry.1:38:14I'm I'm good at practicality, don't get1:38:16me wrong. But that's not what you need.1:38:19Cuz then you just get over that, but1:38:20then you'll fall into something else1:38:21because at the root you're still1:38:22trusting in yourself. Why not just stop1:38:25trusting in yourself and then that way1:38:26you cut everything out, right? It's just1:38:29kind of how it is. I mean, I'm sorry to1:38:31say, but it's just true. It's just how1:38:32it is, right? So so you have to think1:38:34about that, guys. That's it. Think about1:38:36that deeply, right? Listen to me1:38:38carefully, guys. You're never going to1:38:40quit something that you keep thinking is1:38:43good.1:38:44But remember one thing, although it1:38:46feels good, it doesn't mean it's good.1:38:48The Bible is very clear about this. How1:38:50can you ever give up something you keep1:38:51enjoying and indulging and you can't.1:38:53That's the truth. So what do you have to1:38:55see it as? Well, if it's so freaking1:38:57good, why are you so condemned about it?1:38:59If it's so good, why do you want to quit1:39:01it so much? If it's so good, why is it1:39:03why you struggling? It's not good.1:39:05That's what I'm saying. You're just1:39:07trying to make excuses that it's good.1:39:08And it even feels good. And sometimes it1:39:10feels amazing, sure. But it's not true,1:39:13though. You're self-soothing and you're1:39:14not spiritually soothing. That's the1:39:16problem. So anything of self can never1:39:18actually create spirituality. So you1:39:21have to go to God about that. Hey Lord,1:39:23I feel like this is good, right?1:39:25But you say it's not. Who's right? But1:39:28Lord, I still feel I'll be real with1:39:29him. I still feel like it's good. And1:39:31Johnny just told me1:39:33that if I don't stop thinking something1:39:35is good,1:39:36then I won't quit. Lord, that's1:39:38biblical. I know that. Cuz he wouldn't1:39:39just say that. But Lord, now I'm kind of1:39:42stuck. So what do you do? Now, what1:39:43you've done is you've realigned with God1:39:45and you ask God to take care of it for1:39:47you. And you keep doing that until you1:39:49believe it yourself. We believe. One1:39:52time though, we have to fight that. We1:39:53have to go, "No, this is not true. This1:39:55doesn't This isn't me. This is not what1:39:57I want cuz if it was, why do I feel so1:39:59bad after? Why?" Right? Like I know the1:40:02gospel is from God. That's why I don't1:40:04ever regret preaching the gospel. But1:40:05why do I regret doing things like1:40:07sleeping around and doing drugs and1:40:09doing all those things? Why? Because1:40:11it's it's not what I really want. Never1:40:13is it that I want that, right? And you1:40:15can struggle, sure. We're all human. Who1:40:18here doesn't like a beautiful looking1:40:19woman? You kidding me? All the men here,1:40:22stop playing. If a girl walks down the1:40:24street and is your type, you're going to1:40:26at the very least have to resist looking1:40:29at them, right? That's the very least.1:40:30At the most, you're going to actually go1:40:32up to them and be a freaking dog. But if1:40:34you have to resist, it means that you1:40:35you literally like them. Do you1:40:37understand what I'm saying? Right? right1:40:39there, you have to realize that about1:40:41yourself. No, man, I can't. I can't1:40:43trust myself, right? No, that is a a1:40:45sister in Christ. That is a brother in1:40:47Christ. Like you have to think about it1:40:49like that. Make sense?1:40:50Right? You think about those things and1:40:52then you kind of grow. I am, myself1:40:54included. Temptation on my level is1:40:56crazy. It's way crazier than you guys,1:40:58just so you know. Ask Aaron and Jeremy,1:41:00they'll tell you. The level of people1:41:02who are like supermodel status trying to1:41:05Instagram DM. They see my DMs, too.1:41:08Trust me, right? But they also have1:41:11access to it for what? To keep me1:41:12accountable. Make sense?1:41:14Right? So, I have to also do that, too.1:41:16Right? Do I fall to my thoughts, too?1:41:18Yeah. I couldn't you just partied your1:41:20whole life and then got saved in the1:41:21end. My goodness, right? There's1:41:23thoughts like that that come out, right?1:41:25You about to make me fall, right? Like1:41:27this, right? But that's wrong. Do you1:41:29understand what I'm saying?1:41:30Right? So, do I have thoughts? Of1:41:32course, I'm human. But when I think1:41:34about it though, right? What am I going1:41:36to do? Am I going to trust myself? Am I1:41:38going to follow myself? Nah, cuz when I1:41:40follow myself it's over with and you1:41:42know, that's what it is at the end of1:41:44the day, right? Literally Satan wants me1:41:46to just fall one time. Then 10 times1:41:48after that seems easy. Then 100 times1:41:50after that seems easy, too. It's It's1:41:52the same when when I used to carry a1:41:54gun. I used to be so afraid carrying a1:41:56strap, right? My first gun was a .22 and1:41:59a .25. It's little pea shooters, but I1:42:01was scared. I would think, "Damn, what1:42:03if I get caught by the cops, you know,1:42:04I'll go to jail." But after a while, one1:42:06day, two day, 10 days, whatever, it1:42:08becomes part of you. You literally can1:42:11put it in your pocket. So, it's like1:42:13socks, underwear, right? All of that,1:42:16right? Pants and then like pistol,1:42:19basically, right? That's how it is at1:42:20the end of the day.1:42:22It's just part of you, right? And then1:42:24next thing you know, you're like, "Oh my1:42:25gosh, I'm actually using this." Dang, so1:42:28I went from being scared to pack a1:42:29pistol to now shooting it and shooting1:42:32at people, right? You develop this type1:42:34of thing. It's the same with sin,1:42:36understand? Right? Makes sense? And so,1:42:38that's what you have to realize, guys,1:42:41right? Amen. It is all I'm a person who1:42:44if I trust one thought, I can trust 101:42:46thoughts from Satan. That's all it1:42:47takes.1:42:48So, do I then do you then muster? No,1:42:50that should scare you enough to go to1:42:52God. Dang God, like help me, you know?1:42:55Please, Lord, right? Go to God. Hey1:42:57Lord, help me.1:42:58I need help. But what do we do? I need1:43:00help and then we still go back and watch1:43:03porn. We still go back and swipe right1:43:05or swipe left or DM somebody, like girls1:43:08photos, you know, right?1:43:11All the tricks that the men and women1:43:13do,1:43:13right? Sitting there just Same thing.1:43:16They do that to me, too,1:43:17right? To get our attention even as men.1:43:19Like all the all the photos and then it1:43:21shows up in your priority and you're1:43:23just like, "What the hell, dude? What1:43:25are you trying to do, man?" You know,1:43:27right? So, why do we do that? Because we1:43:29trust ourselves. Makes sense? Oh, if you1:43:32trust yourself, all you have to do is1:43:34what? Out of getting the trust in1:43:36myself, what happened? I failed1:43:38miserably. Amen, and that's it, right?1:43:41And then it helps you get out of that1:43:43mindset, right? And you guys obviously1:43:45keep me accountable in terms of like I1:43:46have to think about you guys. You know,1:43:48I realized God also gave me a community1:43:50too because it's easy when you don't1:43:53have the limelight and it's not recorded1:43:55and you're not like, you know, they1:43:57don't record your flaws and blemishes1:43:59online, it's easy to fall into your1:44:01flesh. Like the only person that knows1:44:03is God basically if you if you're good1:44:04at hiding it, right? But for me, I have1:44:07a team now. I have a lot of I have a1:44:08pastor. I'm always talking to people and1:44:11I I can't really be trusted even by1:44:12myself alone because I know I know that1:44:15I'm I'm like that, right?1:44:17Now, how many people can truly say that1:44:19and then deny, right? A lot of people1:44:20don't They say that, but then they still1:44:22follow. You have to distrust your1:44:24thoughts and feelings,1:44:25right? That's just what it is at the end1:44:27of the day. There's nothing more to it.1:44:28I know that sounds too simple, but it1:44:30really is that simple. It is,1:44:32right? I'm not saying you're not going1:44:33to fail. You will fall, but even during1:44:36the fall, you have to distrust your1:44:37thoughts too. Distrust that too. Hurry1:44:39up, get back on track, and that's it.1:44:41Amen. Hey, you messed up. Okay, too bad.1:44:43God showed you. He removed that part of1:44:45your life. Remove it. So, God will also1:44:47remove people out of your life. Make1:44:49sense? That also is something you have1:44:50to clean up too. Okay, well, I wanted1:44:52it. I can't. Oh well, see you later,1:44:54right? Too bad. He's done that to me1:44:56numerous times, multiple times in my1:44:59life. Amen.1:45:00But yeah, can you fall again? Who's to1:45:02say I won't fall? Who's to say tomorrow1:45:03I won't give up the gospel and go and1:45:06move to Colombia or, you know, wherever1:45:08and just disappear forever. Who's to say1:45:10that they that anyone can stop me as1:45:12well? Well, God can, but God will also1:45:15give me free will and free choice too.1:45:17Understand?1:45:18Right? I can choose. I can choose to1:45:20either follow Satan or follow God.1:45:21Genuinely, he will allow me to do that.1:45:23He will. Make sense? He could, but what1:45:26I trust is wherever I'm at, this is1:45:28where God is going to going to lead me.1:45:30So, even if I fall, then I fall, too.1:45:33Right? But, God is still going to be1:45:34with me. That's the same thing with you1:45:36guys. Fall. Yeah, fall. Then get up and1:45:39go back to God.1:45:40Okay? The quicker you fall, the quicker1:45:42you run back to God, is what I'm saying.1:45:44Okay?1:45:45And then later you'll realize,1:45:47hopefully, amongst if you fall enough,1:45:49you'll go, "Yeah, this ain't worth it."1:45:50It might take a little bit or it might1:45:52take one time, depending on the grace of1:45:53God. It's up to It's up to him. And it's1:45:55really up to you, as well, but, you1:45:56know, fall, get up. It's like, "Okay,1:45:59God, help me. Whatever you see fit." All1:46:01right, brothers and sisters?1:46:03Okay. I got to go. See you guys later.1:46:05Take care. Bye, everybody. Peace.
