Unlearned Wisdom by Johnny Chang
0:00Why doesn't God just give us what we0:02want? Why doesn't God just give us a0:04million dollars? He knows that if he0:06gives it to you, it may most likely0:08replace him. Cried many, many nights for0:11the longest time. Was like, "Man, I0:13guess I just am going to be a dead beat0:15and a bum. And I guess I'm just not0:17going to have anything to my name ever."0:18God was like, "Hold my beer."0:23In today's episode, we're going to be0:25talking about why God just doesn't give0:28us what we want. why can't he just give0:30it to us, right? The thing that you0:31prayed for, the thing that you're hoping0:32for, you're asking for. Um, also, we're0:36going to be going over why God makes us0:38wait. What's the importance of waiting?0:40And towards the end, we're going to be0:42talking about why God removes the things0:45that we ask to keep. Why does God take0:48away that relationship, take away that0:50career, take away that family member0:53even? Why would God do these things? So,0:56welcome back to another episode on the0:57Unlearned Wisdom podcast with yours0:59truly, Pastor Johnny Chang, where each1:01episode is a gospel- centered lesson1:03that you could apply to your life today.1:06>> Today, should I like, comment, and1:08subscribe? Download the app and the1:10audio episode. What app?1:11>> The core of the heart daily app. What's1:13that for? Why should I download it?1:15>> To grow spiritual life. The last1:16spiritual app you'll ever need.1:18>> Yeah, [clears throat] figs. I don't1:20>> Why do you guys say it's the last1:21spiritual app you'll ever need?1:22>> I don't know. I work at Target. You can1:24check out all the reasons why on the1:25website coretheart.com.1:27I had a question. So in the Bible, Paul1:30says that women should be silent in the1:32church. Is the Bible misogynistic?1:34>> Dang. Yes, it is. Turn off. Don't read1:36the Bible. No, I'm just kidding. No,1:37it's not misogynistic. Context, context,1:41context. Right. So, people rip that1:43verse to pieces and like super butcher1:46that verse. It's second Timothy. It's1:48found in second Timothy. Essentially,1:50what it says is women are to keep quiet1:51in the church, right? There's other uh1:54verses in Corinthians as well.1:55>> Amen.1:56>> And what do you mean by that?1:57>> Yeah. Yeah. I was trying to add an amen1:59or like a [laughter]2:01>> So people think women can't pastor,2:03can't teach, can't really um do anything2:06that holds a man's position. And that's2:08why they say the Bible is misogynistic2:10in this way. In fact, it's not their2:12fault. Uh churches, some churches2:14actually teach it too, which is kind of2:16wild, right? They teach that women are2:19overly emotional or they whatever it is2:21and that's why they can't hold a2:23authoritative position which is not2:25true. When you look at Deborah when you2:27look at um deacons there are women out2:29there who are are literally named with2:32apostles. So is that what he means when2:35he's saying no? Is he going against2:37Jesus? Absolutely not. Right? So Paul in2:40context is writing to the church of2:42Ephesus uh to Timothy because Timothy is2:45in Ephesus. Right. And so Ephesus is a2:49place in Rome that is basically like the2:52modernday Vegas. It's lost. It's sin2:55city.2:56>> H2:56>> what made it sin city?2:57>> So what makes it sin city is it's where3:00witchcraft is at. It's full of cults,3:04multiple different cults. It's full of3:06uh protonnosticism, meaning they don't3:08believe that the deity of Christ. They3:11believe flesh is evil. Yes, but spirit3:14is born pure and good. So, there's a lot3:16of these cults that go up and rise3:18against Peter's teachings. And the cult3:20of Aremis is this the peculiar one that3:23uh Paul is is is fighting with is he's3:26they challenge the gospel. They say that3:29women for example are born before men.3:31Like Eve was made before Adam. Uh3:33there's these stories of Lilith being3:35the first wife um not actually Eve. And3:38so you [snorts] know um we we the women3:41basically do not have to submit or3:43conform to the Greco Roman cultures3:45which is a Greece and Roman cultures of3:47submit to your husband wife submit to3:49your husband. So it's basically3:50prefeminism and it's very very it goes3:54against doctrine. And so because Paul is3:57a preacher of righteousness and a3:59preacher of grace he can't just kick4:02people out the church. So what he does4:03is he goes tell those church it's not a4:05universal law. tell those people in that4:08church, those women who are sleeping4:10their way to through the pulpit, who are4:12literally um you know, bringing4:14witchcraft and doing this, he's going4:16tell them to stop talking and learn more4:19cuz they have to learn the the gospel4:22and then they can teach, right? Cuz4:23again, he had Deborah, he had all these4:25people next to him. Apollos watered um4:27you know, he had people who helped uh4:29who watered Apollos. It was just really4:32amazing. So he's he's not saying again4:34that women cannot teach, women cannot4:37preach. Um but the enemy loves fighting4:40over semantics.4:41>> Why do you think that there are very few4:42women pastors today?4:44>> Because of that. I would say mostly4:46because of that. It's like it's shunned4:48upon. Um a lot of people don't really4:51understand the context and so and it's4:54not really their fault either because4:55when no one really teaches this. People4:57are not teaching context. They go the4:59Bible says this so just follow that. I5:01mean, it's clear as day. If it says5:03women are to keep quiet, keep quiet.5:05Like, they're very rules-based. Rules5:08are important. Of course, we have to5:09follow rules, create structure.5:11Structure prevents chaos, you know, and5:13there's order. Absolutely. But you have5:15to understand the context of something,5:17right? It's the same as if I sit here5:19and I talk about tattoos. Oh, Leviticus5:2119, Leviticus 18, it tells you do not in5:24Leviticus 29 as well, do not, you know,5:27uh, mark your bodies like they do and5:29this and that. And then, okay,5:30>> of course you're defending tattoos.5:33>> You're covered in them.5:34>> That's what they think. But we're not5:35defending tattoos. We're defending5:37context, right? If the if it was wrong,5:39we wouldn't do it. Obviously, I'm not5:41wrong. I'm not saying we shouldn't5:43follow what the Bible says. But it's are5:45you sure that you understand the context5:48of what the Bible is actually saying? Or5:50are you biased and thinking, well, I5:52feel like that's true and I want to5:54judge people and the Bible allows me to5:56judge, so I'm going to just conform to5:57that. again out of context um not6:01understanding the actual meaning of that6:03verse or those verses and so yeah it's6:05important to to understand context6:07context context as I say6:09>> you might as well give the context of6:10the tattoo things cuz they're carving6:12their skins for ball6:13>> exactly wow Jeremy Jeremy Chang6:15everybody ladies and gentlemen6:17>> I know I know a little bit of history6:19>> yeah so was it a universal law then6:21>> it was not6:22>> so it was for that time frame6:24>> yeah it was for that time frame6:25>> 100% very true so a lot of People don't6:28know that though they read Levitic6:29Leviticus which is part of the Mosaic6:31laws back in the Torah which is the five6:34books of Moses and it's talking about6:36that because again the context is who is6:39it speaking to what is it speaking about6:41how is it speaking it about it when is6:43it speaking about it right this is how6:44you understand context not just for the6:46Bible but for anything right for6:48anything. So, what people do, I noticed,6:50is that they read the Bible kind of like6:52um like imagine reading a note that6:55literally is is like ripped in half. You6:59only have half of the note. You'll never7:01truly understand the content. You could7:02try to piece it together and sometimes7:04you can, but for the most part,7:05something like the Bible, it's not just7:07one book. It's 66 books. It's called7:10biblios in Greek means a library of7:12books. You have to understand multiple7:14books that interconnect to each other.7:16Okay, there is one Bible, but then how7:18come there's so many different religious7:20denominations or versions of the Bible?7:22And how come, you know, there's not7:24really a clear, concise agreement even7:26within the Christian community? Very,7:28very good. So, if you look at second7:31Timothy 3:16, it says, "All manner of7:34scripture, all scripture is inspired by7:37God, but people argue over doctrine."7:40So, man, we're flawed. We like to argue7:42over the knick-knack. So God has already7:44agreed with one universal gospel. But7:48the way the Bible explains it is people7:50bring other gospels. So they'll bring7:52their own interpretations. They'll bring7:54their own standards. They'll bring their7:56own beliefs and they'll mix it together7:58and then say this is what God said.8:00>> When do you think that that shifted8:02though?8:02>> I think it's like at what version of the8:04Bible was it like okay this is when it8:06started to get muddy.8:07>> That in itself is debatable. So8:09Catholics will say when the Protestants8:10came like Martin Luther 1500 years8:13before that it's like but you guys had8:14the schisms a thousand years before that8:16too right? So it's like again it just8:19it's difficult for people to pinpoint it8:22but it doesn't matter who pin who whose8:24fault it is. I think it's more important8:26of this is what happens when mad adds8:29into it, right? Because even amongst8:31Catholics, there isn't a Catholic,8:32there's some Catholics that don't8:34worship Mary or don't venerate through8:35Mary who just go straight to Jesus. Like8:38there's also different Orthodox who8:39don't. There's Eastern Orthodox, uh, you8:42know, Oriental Orthodox, Ethiopian8:44Orthodox, they're all different, right?8:45All similar, of course, under one8:47umbrella, sure, but the main important8:49thing is in the Bible, it's about Jesus8:51Christ. You put Jesus at the center of8:53everything. All of that stuff gets tied8:55together. But once you remove Jesus,8:58then of course dreams and visions are9:00more important. Well, Jesus is good, but9:03then healings came after. So healing is9:04also important. And now it's like you9:06again it gets all convoluted.9:08>> Start placing your importance on things9:10that aren't Jesus.9:11>> Yeah. And all of this honestly is just9:13because man is trying to understand God.9:16Like if you really think about it,9:17they're just trying to dumb him down.9:19Well, well, this means this to me. So,9:22and if it's from God, that's what it is.9:23And that's why when people what people9:26don't realize is they're putting9:27themselves at the center. And when you9:29put yourself at the center, then some9:31days you'll feel really passionate about9:33this and some days you'll be um some9:35people will feel very passionate about9:37that. Now, it's no longer about9:38doctrine. It's about weaving doctrine to9:41fit my standards and my beliefs and my9:44bias. And that in itself starts to9:47create different, you know, offshoots9:49from the actual gospel which is all9:51about Jesus Christ. People have to9:53recognize that the Bible is has one main9:56central character and that's Jesus9:57Christ. But they don't want to see that.9:59They want to see tradition or they want10:01to see, hey, I'm obedient so they make10:03it about themselves. It's a lot of main10:05character energy, right? And so it's10:08just difficult for people to see that10:10because when you tell them that then10:13there's thoughts, right? Well, I am the10:15main character. Jesus died for me. He's10:16my He blessed me. He loves me. So, why10:19wouldn't I be the main character? They10:20they can't even get out of themselves10:22when it comes to that because they've10:23they're so good at weaving the10:25scriptures to to to support their10:28narrative. Basically,10:29>> it's interesting cuz even in like the10:31secular world like manifestation is all10:33about it's all about you as well. It's10:35like you manifest your your your own10:37future. You are a god. You channel10:39energy. You create your own reality. And10:41then it's like that idea of10:43individualism starts making people think10:46that when it's not the way that they see10:48the world, it's like10:49>> yeah, it's a challenge.10:50>> It's a challenge. So then that's when10:52>> the world views collide.10:54>> Yeah. The world views collide and and10:55and that's why I also think that like10:57for people to say that10:59>> 100%.11:00>> It's my truth or whatever it is, it's11:02like there has to be some line of11:04objective truth or else or else you turn11:06out like11:08[laughter]11:08>> Yeah. Yeah. If there's no line of11:09objective truth, which is, you know, the11:12gospel and God, let's say, the Bible,11:14then what happens is it's all really11:16just preferences, right? It's all just11:18opinions. Oh, I And how do you find11:21that? Well, if a majority of people11:23believe in that, but there's islands11:25where where there's like the cannibal11:27cannibalist island or whatever, they11:29believe in like eating people and a11:31majority of them believe that. So, does11:33that mean they're right because the11:34majority vote got it? It's like, no,11:36there has to be an obser objective11:37center line, basically. That's that's11:39that's definitely true.11:41>> What do you think about that, Alfred11:42Einstein? Okay. Okay. Going back to the11:44women in church thing really quickly,11:46like what would you say to a woman who's11:49training to be a pastor right now or11:51wants to be a pastor?11:52>> Keep it gospel centered. Keep it Jesus11:54centered. So, what I would say to any11:56woman that's training to become a pastor11:59or, you know, following God, it's just12:01what I would say to anybody, women or12:03men, focus on the gospel. as 112:05Corinthians 2 1 and 2 talks about um12:09focus on 1 Timothy where it tells us12:11this is what's good to God that all men12:13be saved. So your focus should not be12:17yeah I'm going to show everybody that12:18I'm a great pastor even if I'm a woman12:20like that's for self right you have to12:23keep Jesus the savior at the center not12:25self at the center not self-centered and12:28so uh study very very heavily because12:31bian church in acts tells us they study12:33day and night second Timothy uh 2:1512:37tells us to study to show yourself12:38approved so study study study but keep12:41everything gospel- centered and you'll12:43be fine I I mean, there's you don't need12:44a pulpit. And to be honest, you don't12:46need to even become a pastor. Like,12:48under God in Hebrews, it says we're12:51blessed into his royal priesthood. So,12:53the high priest is Jesus. Inside of12:55that, we're just part of his priesthood.12:57We're all royal priests. So, we all12:59actually should be studying. We all13:01like, it doesn't matter if you're a male13:02or female. It doesn't matter matter if13:04you're a pastor, brother, or sister.13:06You're supposed to preach the gospel.13:08And I say that to everybody, right?13:11Let's not argue semantics. and and you13:13know uh what is it and and and identity13:17and all that. Just focus on Jesus and13:19you'll be good. Hey guys, if you're13:20watching this on Spotify, I just13:22launched my Johnny Chang Spotify page.13:24On that page, you're going to get a13:26bunch of original content from me.13:27You're going to get sermons, vlogs,13:29documentaries, and more. All you got to13:31do is search Johnny Chang or you guys13:33can go to the link in the description.13:35Run up those followers. Thank you.13:38Peace. Would you guys join a church um13:40with like a pastor who was like 23? Like13:43how young can a pastor be? Because13:44you're pretty young and we've met a lot13:46of pretty young pastors. I mean, Pastor13:48Daniel was 31.13:49>> None of that matters.13:50>> Yeah. I think if the message hits like13:52you know when someone's you know when13:54someone's like knowledgeable and wise13:55and when they're not.13:57>> Doesn't matter age.13:58>> Doesn't matter if it's a Glock 43, a14:01Glock 26, a Glock 19. It's once it goes14:04bang, you're going to be hurting. Same14:07thing when you're over here preaching14:08the gospel. Once it goes bang, it's14:10going to hit you. So, it's that's really14:12what's more important. It's not the size14:14of the dog in the fight. It's the size14:16of the gospel in the dog. Why are all14:18your examples a little violent?14:20>> It's always about fighting or14:22>> guns.14:23>> Next question.14:24>> Wait, but you know how like in um14:26there's like it'll be like careers will14:29just get younger and younger. It'll be14:30like the youngest doctor or the youngest14:32rapper and it's like a 13. It's like the14:34youngest pastor is like a six-year-old.14:36Remember that one kid? Remember that one14:38kid and he's like, "And God," [laughter]14:41>> he has like he has the Southern Baptist14:42like cadence.14:43>> Yeah. Oh, yeah.14:44>> Yeah. Would you go to his church?14:46>> Hey, man. No. [laughter]14:49>> He's trying to give you marriage14:50counseling.14:51>> No. And God said, "What if he gives fire14:56marriage advice?" [laughter]14:58>> I mean, sure, but it's like it better be15:00gospel centered. How do you feel about15:02that word?15:02>> Christian Bazwell, brother Pipe RC. I15:04don't know, brother. [laughter]15:07>> I don't know. I feel like is it15:10biblical? I don't care if15:11>> is it biblical?15:12>> Anointing is biblical.15:13>> Yeah. So, it's biblical.15:15>> But what do they mean by that though?15:16>> They say, "Hey, Johnny, you're15:17anointed."15:18>> I'd be like, "You don't know me."15:20>> Why?15:21>> Because you have to go through15:22scripture. You have to go understand15:23what an anointing actually means.15:25>> Okay. What is it?15:26>> Someone I don't know.15:28>> No. Tell us. [laughter]15:31An anointing is basically like a15:33calling, right? So God has anointed you15:35with fa basically showing you favor.15:37That's another thing that they say.15:38>> That sounds like a pretty good15:40definition if I just said Johnny Chang,15:42you're anointed. It literally fits your15:44>> but I'm just studied. I don't think I'm15:46I mean I'm anointed. Sure. Because15:48everyone is anointed once you have the15:49Holy Spirit. That's the anointing. But15:51the way they use it is like bro15:56got like had one HP comeback. Like15:59>> you don't think that's you?16:01>> I don't think so.16:02>> Oh my gosh. Okay, we need a tiebreaker16:05here. What do you think?16:06>> If Johnny's anointed16:07>> anointed based on the definition that he16:09just gave.16:10>> I think he definitely got us. He's on16:12like his eighth life of nine lives.16:15>> Yeah, [laughter] that's pretty pretty16:16anointed. It's16:17>> like the last chance.16:18>> It's pretty anointed. No, anointing16:20means just basically the Holy Spirit is16:22on you. It means that but everyone has16:25that who's who's gospel centered.16:27>> I don't know. But16:28>> you're anointed technically.16:30>> Yeah.16:31>> You got a special special. [laughter]16:37>> There are people that have God's favor.16:40Everybody has God's favor. But there's16:42God have special.16:43>> But what is it? Favor. Favor. Like16:44>> Yeah. Yeah. But come on.16:45>> Explain that. Why? Because they're16:47>> Do I need to explain your testimony?16:48According to you though, that's your16:50stand. That's what I'm saying. That's in16:52real time. People are like, "You're16:55anointed." Why though? Cuz I think16:56you're anointed. No. The Bible says16:58everybody's what? Cuz somebody's 6'517:01chiseled. He's anointed and he preaches17:03the gospel.17:03>> No, no, no, no. You're not 6'5.17:05>> No, but I'm saying I was thinking shout17:07out Jordan. [laughter]17:09He just tried to give himself four.17:10Okay, then if you're 65 myself.17:13>> No, I'm saying this. I'M SAYING THIS.17:14>> YOU'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT MYSELF. YOUR17:16LIFE story and what it took for you to17:18get to where you are to doesn't mean17:20anything. Everybody got a story.17:22>> How many people came up to me and said,17:23"Dang, bro. I I live just like you.17:25Probably way crazier."17:26>> Exactly. So, they didn't get anointed as17:28much as they did get anointed. If they17:30receive salvation if salvation is the17:33anointing, but people have changed that17:36to go you have you're like you're gifted17:39>> special favor from God.17:40>> Yeah. So, there are gifts 100%. But then17:43those gifts, I don't like that because17:44they turn into pride. Not everybody,17:47okay? I'm kind of generalizing a little17:48bit, okay? But there are a lot of people17:51who are super do favored by God 100%.17:56>> Or they'll talk about their girl like17:57that. Well, she just she's got favor,18:00you know? It's like we all do, right?18:03Why you Why does it have to be like18:05that? Oh, I'm not saying that. I'm just18:07acknowledging God in here, right? Then18:09acknowledge God for everybody. Don't18:11just you you guys never see like18:12>> I literally wish God would anoint him18:14though. [laughter]18:15>> Oh my god.18:17>> What you were saying reminds me of uh18:19like the guy in in Sweden when you're18:22like who's like we can't be perfect.18:25Raise your hand if you think you're18:26perfect. Like does it do you know anyone18:27who's perfect? And the guy's like my18:29wife. [laughter]18:31You're like oh wow that's true wisdom.18:33>> Yeah that's wisdom. I was like wisdom18:34bro. He went home and was very happy cuz18:37his happy wife happy life. What do you18:39think of that phrase?18:40>> Again, anointing is not gosh, like these18:43buzzwords have kind of ruined so many18:45things. Seriously. But why did you18:48flinch? You18:48>> cuz you went No, it's just hard. It's18:51like ah there. Who is that guy? He's18:54super He's super funny. But he literally18:57went viral for making like hilarious19:00buzzwords.19:01>> Yes. Pretends to be he pretends to be19:03like pastor.19:04>> He does the the lip the lip fold is so19:07true. Or like when he says like that19:09good, it's called that's good smile.19:11>> Yeah.19:12>> Like someone where they know it's gonna19:14be a banger and they're like and that's19:16why God will ruin your plans before he19:18ruins you. [laughter]19:20And I'm just like that is crazy. And the19:24puckering like he they'll say something19:25and they're like Mhm. Mhm. And then19:29towards the end he's like the slow19:30transition he's like and that's why God19:34will give us peace. Let us let us pray.19:37>> [laughter]19:39>> I was like, "Yo, this guy is so freaking19:42>> spot on."19:43>> Oh my god.19:43>> I've seen his skits. That's so funny.19:45>> Legit though. But that's how church19:47culture has become.19:48>> What's your least favorite Christian19:50buzzword?19:51>> There's a I think every single one I19:53don't like genuinely, right? Step into19:55your salvation.19:56>> I don't like that one.19:57>> You know, uh uh protect your provision.20:01And you know, it's just like these words20:02of like they mix S with S, P with P. And20:05I'm over here like different peas. It's20:07it's all pride honestly. It's just20:09hidden ego and pride. It's like I'm just20:12I'm just fishing for like the banger,20:14you know? It's like versus and that's20:16fine, right? You can do that. But what20:18is the overall message about? Is it20:20about you turning more to Jesus Christ20:22or is it more about look at how I'm20:24turned to Jesus Christ and then you guys20:27got to like see that in me? Right. So20:29again, putting Jesus first is the most20:32important thing right now. You know what20:34I don't like? But don't you like mint20:36>> season?20:37>> Oh, true.20:38>> It's like we're stepping into a20:40different season.20:41>> Yeah.20:41>> All I think about is seasonings.20:45>> Like when I see people who are Yeah.20:47When they do that or they'll [laughter]20:49It's one of those skits where the the20:51the person gets fired, but they're like,20:54"God just put me in a different season,20:56in a different path." It's like, "No,20:58fool. You got fired, homie."21:00>> No. No. God removed that from me about a21:03year and a half ago,21:04>> man. Dude, that's why what what all21:05these things do is they skirt21:07accountability or they make you feel21:10like super egotistical, like they put21:12you at the center.21:13>> Well, speaking of God taking things away21:15and giving us things.21:16>> A lot of people, they ask this question21:18of why doesn't God just give us what we21:21want?21:22>> Right. True.21:23>> Have you guys ever thought that? Have21:24you ever thought that, Jerome? Like, why21:26doesn't God just give us a million21:27dollars every however long?21:28>> He's thinking it right now. Look at his21:30face. [laughter]21:31>> I've never thought that before. I'm21:33patient. And I'm as patient as it gets.21:35What I have thought about is, yo, God,21:37please challenge me with money to show21:39that I can handle it. [laughter]21:40>> Uh-huh. I thought that too. God, please21:42challenge me with women. Trust me, I can21:44handle it.21:47[laughter]21:48>> Honestly, think that's why God has kept21:49me broke. So, if God gives us everything21:51that we want, for example, then we would21:55probably not go to him, right? So, a lot21:57of us say that we trust in God, but what22:00I've noticed, at least with me22:01personally, is I only trust God until he22:06challenges my standard or doesn't give22:08me what I want, right? And a lot of us22:10struggle with this internally. If you're22:13not saying it, you definitely felt this22:14before, like, why can't God just give me22:16what I want? But if you think about it,22:18God is all knowing. Why would why22:21couldn't he give it to you? Like, he22:23could snap his fingers and give it to22:24you. It's actually mercy because he22:26knows that if he gives it to you, it may22:28most likely replace him, right? So God22:31is not going to give you something22:33that's going to replace him. So that22:35relationship that you've been begging22:36for. I was talking about this with22:38someone in the Discord, too.22:39[clears throat]22:40They're like, "Oh, I feel so frustrated22:43and I feel like I'm idolizing my man and22:45my ex and I don't know why God wouldn't22:48give him back to me." At the end of the22:51day, that's why God won't give him back22:53to you. because you're idolizing and you22:55know you're idolizing and you're still22:57asking for that person. So you're asking22:59God to basically give you an idol. Why23:01would he give you if he's a god of23:03blessings? Why would he curse you? A lot23:05of times we ask God to curse us because23:07it feels good, right? So um I've seen23:10that happen with a lot of people where23:12they're on one right there. We've seen23:15it in our own church. There was a23:16brother who was struggling with um23:18addiction and one of these, you know,23:20addictions. And as soon as he was able23:22to kind of overcome that, he was on his23:25way. Like I don't see him anymore. And23:27it's kind of really sad because these23:29people were super locked in.23:31>> No, no, sorry. Finish the thought and23:32then23:32>> and when God was like, "Okay, I'll give23:34you the freedom." They then use that23:36freedom to go and just do whatever they23:38want and they're just not there anymore.23:39They just don't attend the churches23:41anymore.23:41>> Well, one, wouldn't God know their true23:45heart? He knows that they were going to23:46do that ultimately, right? But he would23:48still give it to them, right? sometimes23:51to the expose, right? to expose like23:54them to you know God wants to also give23:57sometimes and when he does give even if23:59it's bad for you to show you like okay24:01you want it so bad in the Bible it says24:03I give them up to it right it's called24:05rep probate so I'm not saying that every24:07person that receives blessings is24:08reprobate but what I mean is sometimes24:12you only want that and God's like okay24:14similar to when a parent chastises a kid24:16and it's like I want it I want it I want24:18it like okay go ahead and then the kid24:19like jumps on the skateboard and falls24:21on his butt and it's like, "Oh, I told24:23you. I told you like this was going to24:25happen." They're like screaming and24:26crying, right? And it that's what24:28happens with us. God is like, "You want24:30it so bad. You're praying only about24:32this. You're hyperfocused. You're laser24:33focused. I've sent people. I've sent24:36signs. I've sent everything to tell you24:38you got to let go. You don't want to.24:39All right. Bet. We're going to let it24:41harden to the point like he did with24:42Pharaoh. And it's going to like hurt24:44you, but it's going to heal you." That24:46hurt sometimes will cause heal. A lot of24:48us, we we were hurt as well by people,24:51betrayed by people because me24:53specifically, I put my gang above24:56everybody, my family, um my people who I25:00loved, uh above God, definitely above25:03God. Um cuz I didn't even follow God at25:05that time. And the result was what?25:08Like, you really think you can find love25:10outside of me, Johnny? All right, go25:12ahead and try it. And man, it hurt so25:15much. It hurt crazy. felt betrayed like25:18times a million. Felt that man. I felt25:21stupid. I felt used. I felt abused. I25:24felt betrayed. And and through all of25:26that, God was like, "You wanted that25:29though." And there was and it's really25:31true when I when I kind of look back at25:33it. There's nothing that nobody could25:36have said to me that would say your25:39friends are going to do this to you.25:41They're going to not support you.25:42They're going to turn their back on you,25:43etc., etc. I would never have believed25:45that. And in fact, if somebody said that25:47to me, I would take it as disrespect25:49even like that's my family member.25:51They'll never do that to me. I I25:52remember believing that wholeheartedly25:54only to get basically proven wrong by25:58God himself, right? So yeah, you ever26:01wake up in the morning and you want to26:03read your Bible, but you [music] just26:04don't know where to start? You love God,26:06you believe in God, but there's this gap26:07between wanting him and actually showing26:09up for him every single day. That gap,26:11that's exactly why I created Coral Art26:12Daily. I'm Johnny Chang. spent 1326:14[music] years locked up and when I got26:15out, God found me. And I spent the next26:179 years reading the Bible front to back26:19[music] 26 times. Not because I was26:21religious, but because I was desperate26:23and I needed some answers. [music] And26:24all of that was found in the word. So, I26:26spent years figuring out how to make it26:28simple for you. Every morning, I write26:29you a devotional. One Bible verse, a26:31simple breakdown, something you can26:33carry into your day. No fluff, no26:35religious language, just a word made26:37plain and simple. There's even a streak26:39tracker inside the app. Not to shame26:41you, not to guilt you, but to just show26:43you that you're actually showing up26:45every single day. 15 minutes a day,26:47little bit of time with God, you'll26:48start to grow and you'll start to26:49nurture. I also have the full KJV26:51[music] Bible builtin where you can take26:53notes, you can underline, you can26:54highlight. You don't have [music] to26:56jump between apps anymore. And when26:58you're ready to go deeper, there's26:59hundreds of hours of past teachings. And27:01every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Pacific27:03Standard Time, I teach a live deep dive27:05Bible [music] class. And there's also a27:06group mentorship session after that.27:08bring me your real questions and get27:10biblical, scripture-based answers with27:12no judgment. I even built a gospel bot.27:14[music] It's basically an AI that's27:16trained on all of my teachings from when27:18I first started all the way until now.27:20And we continuously [music] feed this27:21engine. And I did this so you can get27:23answers rooted in the word anytime, day27:26or night. This isn't church. This isn't27:28replacing your community. This is you27:29and God every single morning closing27:31that gap. Pour [music] the heart daily.27:33The easiest way to make God a habit in27:35your life. download free today and be27:37first in. This question goes to both of27:39you. Looking back in hindsight, is there27:41something or an opportunity that you27:43didn't get that you now look back on and27:46you're you're like, I'm glad I didn't27:47get it.27:49You know what I'm saying? Like, like it27:50could be like, oh, that job. I thought I27:52really wanted that job. I didn't get27:53that job and then it turned out this27:55ended up being what was better for me.27:58>> For me, it was more criminal, but there28:00was opportunities I was pissed off at28:02cuz like I could have28:05did deals with like ghost guns and28:08things like that. It's like these28:09ghosties where they had you could build28:11like 80% of it was built and then you28:14just had to like build it out. And it28:15was a huge thing uh in Cali like few28:18years ago, whatever, 10 years ago. And28:21when I was thinking like, man, you could28:24hella make money off of this. And it was28:26people were making a lot of money28:27basically trafficing arms. I at that28:30moment thought like, man, I want to do28:32this so badly cuz everybody's making28:34money off of this. And I'm so glad they28:37didn't because all the homies that that28:39did do it are now federally indicted.28:42Like all of them got caught up. What you28:43guys don't know is federal indictments28:45is 99%. Like they will not prosecute you28:48unless they know they're going to win.28:50That's how the feds works. It's very28:52dangerous. Different than state. State28:54is like, "Okay, you could you could plea28:55deal." Feds don't even give deals28:58because they know like I got you28:59already. Why I got to give you a deal?29:01So, it's very dangerous, you know. But I29:02was contemplating. I remember like29:04should I was really really bad. This is29:06when I was a young buck and and stupid29:08and didn't wasn't saved. And I'm just29:11very thankful because yeah, a lot of the29:12homies are in there for years. Like29:15you're not getting out basically. You're29:17going to be in there for a very very29:18very very long time. When you get out,29:20you're going to be a grandpa. So yeah.29:22>> What about you? Anything that you can29:24think of? Nothing too crazy, nothing29:26like that obviously, but just certain29:28things that and it's hard to ever know29:30like what would or would or wouldn't29:32have gone right, but I just know friends29:34that have gotten into horrible29:35situations who are either dead or in29:38prison. And I just I'm happy I never29:40fell into certain things that were may29:42have been around me in high school or29:44opportunities like that. Like29:47yeah, for the most part, like basically29:49what you said, but like minus a thousand29:52times. So there's like times that you're29:55like, "Oh, I'm I'm glad I didn't do that29:57job or whatever. I missed that29:58opportunity." On the flip side, there30:00are times where I wish I took more30:03initiative or I did chase that30:04opportunity. Does that relate to God in30:06any way?30:07>> I think so. I think as long as it's30:09again centered around him. So I'll give30:11you an example. There's times where30:14[clears throat] I could have did like a30:16another stop the violence gathering. Um30:19the first time I did one was uh30:21Sacramento. There was another one that30:23we could have done in LA, but I kind of30:25got into it with one of the pastors30:26there. And uh I feel kind of sad because30:31that pastor ended up uh like losing his30:34life, right? Um he was in the streets.30:36He did all that. And of course, we had30:38our disagreements, but and he wasn't30:40part of our church really, but he was30:42trying to like partner with everyone30:43around and we were one of the churches.30:45And he ended up Yeah. losing his life.30:48And I I I realize now that he just had30:52the heart, although he was very30:53abrasive. Yes, he would tell people like30:56read their Bibles, whatever, but in his30:58heart, I could see that he really would31:00put his neck out on the line. And he31:02actually died because of that. Like he31:04died because he challenged somebody who31:06was a a gang member and the dude lost31:09his mind, took it as disrespect and like31:11stabbed him to death, you know? It was31:13crazy. So when I saw that, it was more31:16of like I think I could have at least31:18fought for him rather than fought with31:20him, right? Like I could have been like,31:22"Hey bro, you do cuz I saw the signs31:25early." I was like, "This guy is like31:28me." He took the gang banging energy cuz31:30he was an exconvict, ex gang member. He31:32did like 15 years in the pin and he took31:34it out to the streets and even31:36[clears throat] the way he would talk,31:37he would talk to gang members very31:39disrespectfully. But he would then think31:42it was like cuz I'm I'm keeping it real.31:44I mean, who's to say that I I couldn't31:46have turned out. I could have 100 I kind31:48of was going that route, you know, when31:49I was arguing with people and debating31:50and apologetics and all that and I was31:52with the business. Like, I would fight31:54if if we keep it off camera, you don't31:56tell my you don't you don't tell Pastor31:58Kim, I I'll chunk them with you. Like,32:00that's that's how how I was before.32:02Like, I we can just get down right now.32:04Just don't say anything and don't put it32:06on no little camera. Don't don't snitch32:08to nobody. we keep it between me and32:09you. I'll beat the dogish out of you and32:12then we you know that's it. And that's32:14how I used to be. So he he was like32:16that. He had that energy where he was32:17like you disrespecting me and you32:19disrespecting my God. Like I remember32:21him saying that and I looked at the32:22pastor like yo chill. These guys are not32:25gospel centered. Like obviously you know32:27it's different than than they don't32:29believe and they're making fun of God.32:30Sure. And he's like if you mock my God32:32I'm going to take it as disrespect. Like32:34I mean everybody you're going to fight32:35the whole world if that's the case. But32:37I there was no one telling him cuz he32:39didn't have a pastor above him. And what32:41I realized was I I was very graced with32:43that where I did have a pastor above me32:45and a and I did respect the pastor above32:47me and the pastor would tell me, "Yo,32:49you're messing up. You're going crooked.32:50You're foundationally, you know, flawed32:52here and and you got to repent."32:54Basically, he was like he went to like32:57one of those online seminaries and he32:59like made himself a pastor basically33:02which is very very dangerous as we can33:04see. and he he ended up losing his life.33:07He got he got into it with two brothers.33:08He would volunteer his time. Uh it's not33:12a chaplain, but it's like ah my god it's33:14not coming to my brain but anyways he33:16would help like the police department.33:18>> Um when when they like the reserved type33:21people, right?33:22>> I forget. Anyways, it might be a33:24chaplain, I think. But but he was real33:26big on that. He was real big. And so33:27what he would do is he would do ride33:29alongs with them. He would do community33:30service type stuff with them. And that's33:32where he got he died. It was uh he got33:36into it with some with these two dudes33:37and they were uh either brothers or they33:40were cousins, I forget. And they just33:42they just they took off on him. They33:44jumped him and then they they started33:45poking him and I think Yeah. He died.33:48Yeah. Through that.33:49>> Dang.33:50>> Yeah. So, it's really sad to be like,33:51dang, I wish I didn't just not abandon33:54him cuz I didn't. I mean, we got into33:55it, but he just couldn't listen as well.33:59[clears throat] But there could I have34:00prayed for him more? Absolutely. I34:02wasn't as mature as I am now, but still,34:04you know, it doesn't matter. Like, I34:05could have prayed for him more. I could34:06have uh sent other pastors or even went34:10to whoever it is to help him, but it was34:12more of just like this guy's he's had to34:15learn his lesson. I didn't know that34:16that was the lesson, right? So, yeah.34:19Yeah, that's tough. It's tough. Yeah,34:21it's tough. Yeah. Being a pastor is it's34:23not easy, man. number one and I34:25understand why people would fight34:27because if you're not studied or you're34:30very emotional or you have things that34:31are ingrained in you that's trauma uh34:34your trauma will speak for you during34:35those times right and and uh also other34:39people don't realize that either is like34:40when I see people challenging street34:43preachers or challenging foos who who34:45you know they got to pass I'm like damn34:48y'all really playing with fire because34:50the the a person is is only a few steps34:53away from being crazy, right? Like even34:55me, Satan is so powerful in a lot of34:57ways where there are times34:59[clears throat] where especially early35:00on in my ministry when I would be35:02arguing that the enemy would go, "These35:06people, they disrespect God anyways, so35:09they deserve whatever is coming to35:10them." And that's the enemy obviously.35:12But when you're not a mature believer,35:15you can really hurt people like that.35:16Now, a normal person would be like,35:18"What?" Like a Karen would be like,35:20"Whatever, I'm going to report you." And35:22then they just leave. But a gang member,35:24the way they resort to things is35:25violence. So when they think with like35:28gang members make the worst the the the35:30greatest Pharisees, as they say, because35:32we can literally sit there and we're35:34going to be about it. Like we'll see35:36through to it and we'll execute it,35:37right? And so that's what what's really35:39scary versus someone who's just like, I35:41grew up in a nice home and I'm a35:43Pharisee. Like it's it's different35:44because we put action behind it. I I see35:47how some of these people move. They move35:49like straight gangsters. like, "Yeah,35:50man. That that guy right there, he needs35:53to repent." And it's like, you're35:55they're moving as if they're on the35:56yard. Like, there's no The only35:58difference is they have church clothes36:00on and they're in a church building. If36:02you took them out of that, it you would36:03see that they're politicking. Straight36:05up politicking. Hey, that bro that36:07brother needs to be reprimanded. Why?36:08Cuz he did this, this, and this. All36:09right, cool. All right, we're going to36:11have him go over there. We're going to36:12teach him. We're going to It's like,36:13damn, this this dude's getting36:15disciplined. And they have that36:16mentality. And people who don't know36:18that lifestyle are literally thinking36:20like, well, oh, they're just very36:21passionate. It's like, no, they're36:23actually keeping that energy basically36:25into ministry, which is very dangerous.36:27It's very dangerous to deal with people36:28like that, you know. And again, some of36:30these guys have loose crews. Like I know36:32people who were ex gang members and then36:35they lose their mind completely where36:37they go, I'm serving God. I love God and36:41uh you know, he's he's blessing me. and36:44then they're not mature enough to see36:45that and they're struggling mentally and36:48it just takes that concoction. I was an36:50ex gang member, did many, many years in36:52prison. Um, I'm not really studied. I'm36:55based off of feelings. And then one day36:57it's just too much for me. That that's36:59the straw that breaks the camel's back.37:01And they go and they unal alive37:02everybody. Like that's h I've seen that37:04happen. And so it's it's it's like scary37:06to deal with people like that, right?37:08But people don't understand the37:10precautions, right? It's like school37:12shooter energy where it's like, "Oh, I'm37:14going to just pick on this guy and I I'm37:16I'm at home chilling and relaxing and37:18the whole time this dude's over here37:19plotting something crazy. You come to37:21school and that's the last day of your37:22you coming to school, right? It's the37:24last day on earth." That's why it's37:25important if you really understand the37:27Bible and just even not the Bible, just37:29to be ethical and moral with people that37:31you don't know what this person is going37:32through, pastor or not. It's probably37:35better to just treat them with respect37:37and really like treat them like they're37:39your brother or sister because it you37:41could be that last person that makes37:43them spiral out of control completely37:45and lose their complete like I've seen37:47that happen with homies. I've seen that37:49with pastors. I've seen that with37:51everybody. I've seen that in multiple37:53different I've seen a dentist do that.37:54I've seen a doctor do that. I've seen a37:56lawyer do that. I've seen people just37:57go, "It's too much for me and I'm37:59waiting for that la that last thing."38:01And once it does, it enables them to go38:03completely crazy. And depending on how38:05crazy they really are, people either get38:07hurt or they get hurt or their families38:09get hurt. And it's it's really sad.38:11>> Continuing on with the topic, why does38:13God make us wait?38:14>> Two things. To build patience and to38:17also expose us. So, when you're sitting38:21there and let's say you God made you38:23wait for something and you've prayed,38:25you've prayed and you're being a little38:26patient, but a year goes by, two years38:29go by, and then you start to feel38:30frustration. What God is trying to show38:33us is if you're frustrated, that means38:34you don't trust him. If you're38:36frustrated, it also means you're human.38:38But it it's exposing that you want that38:40more than his timing and his timeline.38:43And so he's going to make us wait38:45because he doesn't want our hearts to be38:48interconnected to or connected to that38:51one thing and want that thing more than38:53God. So if it's the relationship or the38:56career, you know, or that the bank38:58account like whatever it is, God doesn't39:00want us to place anything above him. So39:02he will wait and wait and wait and make39:04us wait it out. And sometimes he'll even39:06just say no. Like when you look at uh 239:09Corinthians chapter 12 um Paul goes to39:12God and he says he has a thorn on his39:14side and he goes to God three separate39:16occasions like God please take this away39:18it's too much for me and God literally39:20goes no my grace is sufficient for you.39:23So he says he says no to him basically39:24and goes this is enough for you. So some39:26people will pray and be like my cancer39:29pray it away. It doesn't go away. Well39:31what is God going to give us? He's39:33trying to give us him but we want the39:35solution. We don't want the person who's39:38solving the problem, right? We want the39:39problem solved. We don't want the39:40problem solver, right? And so, in this39:43way, he's trying to expose that inside39:45of us. And I I I've seen it in my own39:48life. I've seen it in pastors. I've seen39:50it in brothers and sisters. It's just39:52difficult when you can't see that. And39:55when the exposure should be actually39:58mercy and grace, like, hey, you're40:00you're you're holding on to something40:01greater than me. But sometimes even when40:04you expose people, they don't like that40:06either. They're like, "Well, I what's40:07wrong? I want to be like that and I'll40:09stay like that." And that also is what's40:10getting exposed. They're hardened.40:12They're transactionalizing God. They're40:13accessorizing God. And they don't even40:15care. I think that's the worst thing is40:17when someone goes, "Yeah, so what? Like40:19I am like that and I and I don't care. I40:21want God to give me that cuz if not, I40:23don't want to follow him." But it also40:26is really beautiful in that when someone40:28accepts that and acknowledges that, then40:30you can actually work with that. Okay.40:32So, so I I'll walk people through it.40:34So, if you sit there and you think,40:36right, I had a homie, for example. He40:37came to church, but he left church. He40:39literally said, "I just want God to give40:42me millions and millions of dollars."40:44And I'm like, "Bro, that's accessorizing40:46God." He's like, "So what? What's wrong40:48with that? Like, why can't I have it?40:50It's it's well, is God stingy?" He40:52literally was like, "Is God stingy? If40:54he made the whole world, he has40:55trillions of dollars, like infinite40:57amount of money. Why can't he just drop40:58a like 10 mil to me? Why not? Right? And41:02he was obviously this is aggro, but he's41:04hardened. He's like pissed. And so he41:07ended up leaving the church because of41:09that, right? He would talk to Pastor Kim41:11too. What's wrong with me wanting money?41:12Like there's nothing wrong with that.41:14Like it says a love of money. I don't41:15love it. I just need it so bad. Pastor's41:17like, you need 10 million for what? You41:19know, well, I need this. I want to buy41:21my parents. How about he's like, so you41:22want to basically be God for them. You41:24don't want to trust that God will41:25provide more than 10 million for them.41:27you want just the 10 million because41:28that's what in your calculation he got41:30pissed at pastor you know he's like bro41:32not everyone's a pastor like I'm not a41:34pastor like I don't need to live like41:36that God is supposed to provide for me41:37and he started just to argue right so41:40why I bring this up is because there are41:42people who will harden their hearts and41:43go so what that's what I want right then41:47with that brother what kind of got him41:49to kind of come back to church but he41:50ended up leaving again was cuz he he41:52can't break his heart was bro if you41:54think about it then right you've41:56acknowledged that you're selfish. Yeah,41:58I'm selfish. You acknowledge that you're42:00stubborn. Yeah, I'm stubborn. You42:02acknowledge that you just want money and42:03you don't care about using God. And he's42:05like, "Absolutely. I don't care about42:07that." Right? And I still want my stuff.42:08Too bad. That's my heart. And then I was42:10like, "Then do you believe someone like42:12that should be blessed?" Like for42:14example, if somebody came up to you in a42:15mirror image of you and they said, "Hey,42:17bro, you need to give me all of your42:18stuff. Like I want to be happy. You're42:20my homie, but like that's why you're my42:21homie. You got to give me everything.42:22And I use you for everything. How would42:24you feel?" And then he froze. He's like,42:26"Dang, that's how that's what I'm like,42:28that's what you're doing with God,42:29basically." Whereas it's it's easier to42:32deal with people like that than it is to42:34go, "No, I love God, though." And like,42:36"Oh, like, but deep down, they're like42:38the homie, right? Where they're like, I42:39but I want this, though." But outwardly,42:41they're like, "Oh, this is going to make42:42me look bad. So, no, I'm I'm waiting on42:45his provision and I'm I'm practicing42:47patience." Like, it's better to deal42:49with people who straight up just go,42:51"That's what I want." Then you can be42:53like, "Well, you're a piece of garbage42:54then, right?" Then do piece of garbages42:56deserve to get blessed? No. Then there42:59you go. And then it'll either wake them43:01up or they'll just stay hardened like43:02they already are. Uh they're not going43:04to move anywhere. They're just going to43:05stay like that. So it gives us a chance.43:08What's really hard is when people are43:10out are faking it. Oh no. Like I trust43:13in God and I love God and I go to43:15church, but deep down what it is is you43:17better give me this and I'm only doing43:19this because you're going to give me43:20that. And if you don't then I don't43:22believe in you and I'm actually mad at43:24you. But I can't say that because then43:25I'll look bad in front of people. And uh43:27it's like this thing is the most43:28difficult type of person to deal with.43:30Nobody told you that faith would come43:32with this many unanswered questions. You43:34pray, you read, you fast, you tithe, and43:36yet you're still not growing. But there43:38are things that you're still carrying43:40that you haven't said out loud to43:41anybody. Not because the answer doesn't43:43exist, but because you don't know who to43:45ask. That's exactly why every Tuesday I43:47do a group mentorship session. You bring43:50your questions and whatever you've been43:51sitting on. Whether it's a decision you43:53can't make, past trauma you're still43:55working through, or a relationship43:56that's draining you, and I answer them43:58scripturally, foundationally with44:00biblical truths that meet you exactly44:02where you are. Even if you're not ready44:04to ask a question yet, come and listen44:07in. Because chances are somebody else in44:09that room is carrying the same weight44:11you are. It doesn't matter if you're new44:12in faith or you've been walking with God44:14for many years. No question is too44:16small, too messy, or even too44:18complicated. The group mentorship is an44:20exclusive benefit for gold members only.44:22To join, download Core the Heart daily44:24or use the link in the description. I'll44:26see you guys Tuesday.44:27>> What I wanted to say was like, what do44:29you say to the Christian that feels or44:32all that, right? God isn't really44:33blessing them or whatever, but then44:34there's all these non-Christians44:37that are getting blessed.44:39>> Yeah. Well, that's usually why they get44:41mad, too, is because they're looking at44:43it and they're going, "These guys don't44:45even believe in even doing anything."44:47You know, it's like, yeah, but you're44:49not doing anything either. I mean, I'm44:51sorry to say that I I would I these44:54people who get blessed is because44:55they're just themselves. Like, yeah, I'm44:57selfish. Yeah, I'm ambitious. Yeah, I45:00want to better my life. Like, they're45:01not sitting there going, "Oh, I'm so45:03humble." But like inside, they're not.45:05You know what I mean? Oh, I love the45:06gospel. But really, it's about filling45:08the pews. Like it God wants people to45:11keep it real. You know, if you like if45:13you like your sin, say that. You know,45:16if you don't like something and you're45:17accessor accessorizing God, say that.45:20So, that's what people don't understand45:21is that they they're they're scared to45:23say it because they know that it's45:24wrong. Well, if you know that it's wrong45:26and you're still doing it, then I mean,45:29that's probably why you're not going to45:30get blessed. It's not a worksbased45:32thing, but genuinely, if I continue to45:34go against God, why then do I like45:37expect him to bless me? Whereas these45:39other people, they don't even care about45:40that. They don't even know. They're just45:42only focusing on themselves. If we're45:44truly Christians, we know better. We45:46should at least understand that, right?45:48So, it's the same as like when it comes45:50to like charges. When a person does45:53something accidentally and not knowingly45:56and like out of ignorance, it's a little45:58bit less than someone who premeditates46:00something, right? So, it's the same46:02thing. Christians know, they know the46:04game, they understand what's going on,46:05but the issue is they they want to get46:08blessed in a way that, you know,46:11benefits them. Well, if you put Jesus46:13and God first, that is the blessing and46:15that's going to bless you. It's just how46:17it is. My life is like that. A lot of46:19I'm not better than anybody, right? But46:21same thing. There's a lot of gang46:22members who look at me and also get46:23covetous and get jealous and be like,46:25"Well, I got a testimony, too." Right?46:27But you don't have the same heart46:28posture, though, respectfully. You care46:30only about yourself. You don't know how46:31it is to go out and fly out and46:33literally get super super tired and46:35drained, work constantly to pump out46:38content while everybody46:39>> deal with Jeremy46:40>> to deal with Jerome46:42>> and his abrasive tone.46:43>> That's a blessing.46:44>> It is crazy what you put yourself46:46through on the road. It's nuts. It's not46:48just the live event. You'll go meet a46:50pastor like an hour away at 6:00 a.m.46:52You'll come back, do a live stream,46:54sometimes even a Bible class, go prepare46:56for the event. four hour events, meet46:58and shake hands with every single person47:00in the whole event, and then we go to47:02dinner after and there's still47:03volunteers asking you questions like47:05from the moment you wake up till the47:07moment you fall asleep on like 20our47:09days.47:09>> Yeah.47:10>> Um it's crazy47:11>> facts though. Figgity facts.47:13>> Has there ever been a time where things47:15just lined up and you felt like every47:17prayer was getting answered by God?47:19>> Yeah. Early on, early on I had that. I47:23was like, "Oh my gosh, unlock after47:25unlock after unlock." And I remember47:27Pastor Kim just going, "Just wait."47:30[laughter] I was like, "What do you mean47:31just wait? This is amazing. This is47:33great, man. I'm so thankful, pastor."47:35I'm like hugging him. Thank you, pastor.47:37He's like, "Just wait, buddy." And uh47:41yeah, it went from that emotional like47:43high to plateauing. And then I was like,47:46"Dang, what the hell happened? Am I not47:49obedient? Did I not pray enough? I47:51didn't stop praying. I wake up every47:53morning to like study and what what the47:55heck is going on?" And and that's when47:57he was like so happy. I was like, damn,47:58this guy is happy at my downfall. Like48:00what the hell, dude? But later, you48:03know, he was trying to tell me that God48:05was moving me from feelings to faith.48:07Like you're feel too much, Johnny.48:08You're too passionate about these48:10things. You need to go to faith, right?48:11It doesn't matter how you feel. The48:13Bible says it's easy to believe in God48:15when he's blessing you, right? But when48:18he takes things away and you feel like48:19he's cursing you, can you still believe48:21in him? That's how you know true faith.48:24True faith is when it's tested, not when48:27everything is aligning and the stars are48:29aligning and the career is aligning and48:31the partner is aligning like that.48:33That's easy to go praise God.48:35Hallelujah.48:36>> Move by faith, not by sight.48:38>> Facts though, right? It's like when48:40things don't go right, can you still go48:43God's here? When when you lose your job,48:46can you still go, man? Like God is48:49really removing me. Not like to pacify48:51yourself, but to go, "God is helping me48:53with this. He's going to put me in a48:55better place." And actually mean it. Not48:57stand in front of people, right? But in48:59your secret space, go, "Yeah, God, I49:01trust you." And I've experienced both.49:03I've experienced the both ends of the49:05spectrum. First end is like, "Why are49:07you doing this, God? You don't love me."49:08Blah, blah, blah. And then the second49:10one is like, although I'm getting49:12removed, like I lost all of this,49:14there's nothing but peace in my life.49:16Like it's strange. I've experienced that49:18too, right? So on both ends, uh, true49:21faith is the one that goes, "Wow, God,49:24no matter what, this doesn't shake me."49:26>> You know, it's like things that we would49:27have wanted with the business like 3 449:29months ago, we yippee, now we're here49:31and everyone's like, you know, cranky.49:33Why is why is that gratitude muscle so49:36quick to fading?49:37>> Good question. Um,49:38>> espec Why?49:41>> It's not It's because you're looking at49:42the situation. You're gr You're49:45grateful, Jerome.49:46>> I'm not talking about myself.49:47>> Sorry. Sorry. I'm very grateful all the49:49time.49:50>> Genuinely though, like if you're truly h49:52it's it's just because the enemy is49:54trying to say that you're not happy,49:56right? A lot of the times when I the way49:59that Satan attacks me is the same. Like50:00when things are growing, Satan tells me50:03too, like how come you're not overly50:05excited? Like is there something wrong50:07with you? And I'm just like there is50:10something wrong with me. How come I'm50:11not like yippee doing back flips? Did50:13you not know that you came out of50:15prison? You should be happy. Why are you50:17not as happy as it? And like right50:19there, he's he's basically telling me50:22that I'm not happy and I'm just50:23believing the lie, right? So it's it's50:26not really that the gratitude fades. We50:29are thankful, but he plays with that.50:31Well, if you're thankful, he starts50:33putting like certain like standards to50:35it. He starts to feed it into you that50:38you're not thankful. And then slowly you50:40just get deceived. You're like, "Wow,50:41I'm not thankful and I'm not grateful."50:43And it's because you're tying everything50:45to emotions. Not even that. I guess it's50:47like, you know, even in my prayer. No,50:49yes, sometimes that. But I'd say that50:51[laughter]50:52>> the disrespect. He's like, it's not50:54that. Anyways,50:55>> but it's that exactly.50:56>> No, no, no. What I'm saying is like, you50:58know, when I pray, the thing that I'll50:59go for is I'll I'll I'll pray for the51:01things I'm thankful for. And then I'll51:03go right into fix it. Like, hey, these51:05are the things that I, you know, what51:07whatever. And then I'm like, dang, that51:08list is like,51:09>> why do you feel like you're not thankful51:13just because you went and asked for fix51:14it things? my prayers more more time or51:17it's just more of like always like51:18improve improve improve improve.51:20>> Nothing wrong with that. That doesn't51:21mean you're ungrateful.51:23Like okay, so we've gotten I I I51:25genuinely think that we're we're in the51:28thousands of people in heaven for sure.51:30Probably more.51:30>> You think we got a thousands of people?51:32>> I think we got we're in the thousands of51:34people in heaven.51:35>> I'd be disappointed if it's only a51:36couple thousands.51:37>> Okay. But let's say we're we're we're51:39like a million people.51:41>> Yeah.51:41>> Right. Like a million people is good,51:42but to be honest, I want a hundred51:44million.51:45>> Yeah, it's going to be a51:46>> Is that bad? Like that's not a bad51:48thing. It's We should get more people,51:50but I'm also thankful if one goes to51:52heaven, too. Like genuinely, I'm like,51:53dang. Hey, me.51:55>> Yeah, you went to heaven and Aaron word51:57is going to heaven, too.51:59>> W52:00>> Oh gosh.52:01>> What the52:01>> Aaron's going too?52:02>> Why not?52:03>> Different level, right?52:04>> Going to be like,52:05>> does Aaron have to be in the same like52:07cloud house as us? I'm going to like52:09higher heaven, elite heaven than you.52:11>> Elite. [laughter]52:14>> And he's like elite.52:15>> No, I was about to say, [laughter] I52:17don't know if you saw what I said in the52:18chat. I was like, Johnny just increased52:20the heaven population of Latin Americans52:22by like 50%. [laughter]52:26God's like brushing up on Spanish.52:28>> Oh my gosh. [laughter]52:30>> He's like He's like,52:34"No, no, no." But yeah, like it's it's52:38we're grateful, but the enemy just52:40plants standards and then the52:41expectations is what kind of kills a52:43gratitude though. I understand what52:44you're saying, but it's like we there is52:47an expectation that kills a gratitude,52:49right? If I sit here and and I let's say52:51I'm dead center on what I just said, 10052:55million people, yeah, a million's not52:56enough. Like, no. Like, I've said that a52:58million's not enough, but I'm not saying53:00it's not enough because I'm unhappy. I'm53:03saying it's [snorts] not enough because53:04God can reach way more than 100 million53:06people, right? So, it's again, it's just53:08a a heart posture thing. It can't it53:10can't just be tied to feelings. So,53:13that's why I was asking you like, how do53:14you know you're ungrateful? And it53:17sounds like standards. Well, cuz I pray53:20more for fix it, which not a problem.53:23Well, I I don't feel it. Then that's53:25tied to feeling. So, again, it ties back53:27to like who's telling you you're53:29ungrateful though, right? That's true.53:32He's super ungrateful. [laughter]53:35>> That's to my standard, though.53:37>> I don't care about my standard.53:38>> Sorry, I was just thinking about53:39numbers. So, somebody somebody had53:41leaked Mr. Beast's um YouTube studios.53:45He has half he has a 500 million53:47subscribers. Half a billion subscribers.53:49And they guess how much revenue he makes53:51a month.53:52>> Not that much.53:53>> 10 million.53:54>> No, way more than that.53:55>> Way more than that. 100 million.53:56>> Not even that. [clears throat] No, no,53:57no. A month.53:58>> Oh, a month. Oo. maybe like 25 mil.54:01>> He's right on the money. $24 million54:03really off just his one main channel54:06YouTube algorithm. So his whole his main54:09channel alone makes like $300 million.54:11>> Dude, YouTube must be so happy.54:12>> Wow.54:13>> If if if he's making 25 million they're54:15making54:16>> How much is54:17>> No wonder they're Yeah. But either way,54:19I'm like I'm like But but when I think54:20about getting 100 million people into54:22heaven, I just think of how long it took54:24Mr. Beast to get 500 million subscribers54:26and what he had to do to get that.54:27>> How long did it take Mr. beast54:29>> 10 years a little longer than that.54:31>> Yeah. But like obviously the the the54:34effort compounds and54:36>> do you think if we stay at this for 2054:39years we'll get to like 10 million54:41subscribers?54:42>> Yeah. If you make Hey, the last54:44Christian to take their hand off this54:45Bible goes to heaven. [laughter]54:48Yeah. You're like we just have to make54:50the most gimmicky viral videos. But54:52again, you know what I like to think54:53about? It's like that's his method. It's54:55like we have no idea how God will work54:57on on this business as well. And this54:59business also is just growing in ways55:00that we never would have thought.55:03>> We're at 1.7 mil, baby.55:05>> On Instagram alone,55:07>> we're at 7 million across the board.55:10>> More. A little more.55:11>> Dang,55:13guys. Our live events are getting super55:15packed. We genuinely need some help. So,55:17we're looking for a live events55:19producer.55:20>> So, I'm going to be completely honest55:21about this. There's a lot of moving55:23pieces from booking a church, finding55:25the vendors, scanning in the people, the55:27volunteers, the merch. Like, there's so55:29many moving pieces that I'm just going55:30to say right now, we're looking for a55:32professional. We're looking for someone55:33who has done this before. If you're55:35watching and you're like, "Oh, I think I55:36can help their live events." Honestly,55:37you're probably not the pick. But if55:39you're watching and you're saying, "Oh,55:40I've done this before. I've thrown live55:41events. I've even maybe worked in a55:43church space." Please reach out. We're55:44looking for a killer, someone who can55:46really coordinate everything. It's a ton55:48of moving pieces. At the end of the day,55:49it's nothing too hard or complicated,55:51but it's a lot of details, a lot of55:53moving pieces. And for us to be doing55:54this every single month, once a month or55:56even more, it's almost impossible55:58because we each run different branches55:59of the business. So, for us to do these56:01ourselves, it's becoming unscalable. So,56:03if you think, you know, you know, I can56:04come in, take this over, I'll learn from56:06them, we'll teach you everything, and56:08you think I can take the information and56:10go throw them live events every single56:12month in a different city for the rest56:13of the next 10 years. If you're hearing56:15this and you think that's you, please56:17reach out. We pay super competitively.56:19We have honestly a really good pay for56:20you guys because we really want to do56:21this. Live events are super important to56:23Johnny and all of us and all of you56:25guys. So, we want to keep doing them. We56:26want to keep making them super amazing.56:28And that's why honestly, we're looking56:29for a killer. Like it. We're not really56:31going to hire anyone to test them out or56:33try to train. We're looking for someone56:34who has done this before and is ready to56:36do it for us and we're going to pay you56:38very handsomely for it. So, please reach56:40out. The best way to do it, there's a56:41link in the description. There's a job56:43application that details everything and56:45the pay. So, please fill it out. Please56:47pay attention to the instructions.56:48There's a lot of instructions that if56:49you don't pay attention to them, we're56:51not even going to look at your56:52application. So, cutting to the chase,56:54we're looking for a live events killer.56:56If you are that person or if you know56:57that person, if someone at your church56:59maybe throws the events, if you want to57:00recommend it to a friend or a family57:02member, we want an awesome beast live57:04events producer. The last thing I'll add57:07is you're going to be handling57:08everything from thousand to 5,000 person57:10live events. We do prison ministry,57:13overseas trips. We want to do we have57:15big plans to take core of the heart57:16global and you would be the lynch pin57:19that controls all of that. So with that57:21being said again like Aaron said I'm57:24only harping it again there's a lot of57:26people that are applying because you57:27have a heart for the miss mission which57:29is great but only because of past57:31experiences. We have a very particular57:34vision of what this person needs to be.57:36We're also being advised by people that57:38have done this at extremely high level57:39who are helping us vet the applications.57:42So, it's going to be a very like select57:46group of people that are looking at your57:47application. So, please do not be57:49offended if we don't pick you. Just57:50understand we have a lot of input and we57:53are very specific on what we need. So,57:55we're very appreciative if you try, but57:57please again understand that we've we've58:00gone through a lot of ups and downs to58:01understand what we need [snorts] or58:02want.58:03>> So, if you want to apply, the link is in58:05the description. And also for anyone58:06else still listening, if you want to58:07come to these awesome live events, text58:09in after to 323-613357758:14for free live events in a city near you58:16>> or download Core of the Heart daily.58:18>> I genuinely want to thank you guys for58:20tuning in and just supporting Core of58:22the Heart. Without you guys, we58:24obviously we wouldn't be able to go58:26global and so we are looking for that58:29that perfect piece, right, to uh take us58:32global and help us with the live events.58:34So, if that's you, we really do58:36appreciate you guys for for applying and58:38um hope to work with you guys soon.58:40>> Why does God take away things that we58:43prayed to keep? Because it's usually58:45pulling you away from him.58:47>> How do you know that though?58:48>> I don't know that. He knows that. That's58:50why he removed it. You big silly goose.58:53Okay. First John 5:21 says, "Little58:57children, keep yourselves from idols."58:59Amen. Now, a lot of people think that59:01idols is like a statue. No. A59:03relationship.59:04>> Pokemon Go.59:05>> Yep. Pokemon.59:06>> You're the one wearing a Pokemon shirt.59:08>> True.59:09>> Well, hey, I just was stating something.59:10It could be Pokemon.59:11>> It could be feet.59:12>> It could be women.59:13>> It could be reals.59:14>> It could be vape.59:15>> Could be everything.59:16>> It could be cats.59:17>> Gym.59:18>> It could be Mewtwo.59:19>> Could be your car mood.59:21>> It could also be a car whose doors open59:23up differently.59:24>> True. Or cars that drive themselves.59:27>> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So59:28>> or cars that scream so loud it makes59:30other freaking cars scream too.59:34[laughter]59:34>> Literally every time I pass by a car in59:36my car it's like it goes crazy.59:39>> Why don't you get something responsible59:41like a Toyota Corolla?59:42>> I do. I had a Toyota Corolla.59:44>> What about a Kia Sarrento?59:46>> Yeah, those are reliable. No key. No59:49Kia. No. No. No. Hyundai. No.59:53>> Wait. Why? Why? Why do you need a loud59:55car?59:55>> I don't know. I just that seems like59:57it's an idol.59:58>> It is. I love my Audi.1:00:00>> So, how do you Yeah. So, how do you draw1:00:01the line of something? There's material1:00:03things that I love. There's things that1:00:04I love. I love Muay Thai. I love my1:00:06cats.1:00:06>> Sure. Sure. It just doesn't become1:00:07>> I like my full self-driving auto drive1:00:10Tesla 2026. Model Y.1:00:13>> It doesn't.1:00:13>> Use my promo. I'll drop it in the1:00:15description. [laughter] It gives me an1:00:17extra month of full1:00:18>> license plate Z13 registered to address.1:00:20>> No. um as long as it doesn't an idol is1:00:23is it takes up everything you place it1:00:25it takes precedence over over God1:00:27basically well if you're praying for1:00:29something to not be removed right the1:00:31the the prayer shouldn't be it should be1:00:33like God of course I wouldn't want it to1:00:34be removed but like what Jesus said you1:00:37can pray for removal only if it's1:00:39aligned to his will like Lord actually1:00:41remove it if it is if it is something1:00:43that's drawn me away from you should be1:00:44praying for that1:00:45>> remove this if it's drawing me away from1:00:47him I guess I'm still here.1:00:49>> Hey, got him.1:00:52>> Oh, that's my thorn in my side.1:00:54[laughter]1:00:55>> Oh, okay. Okay. All right. I'll just1:00:58>> We'll be waiting. You have to wait1:00:59forever.1:00:59>> Okay. That's my thorn in my side. Just1:01:01want you to know that you're not a1:01:02blessing. You'll have to wait. How do1:01:04you determine what is being removed by1:01:06God versus what is just the cycle of1:01:08life? Because there's also things where1:01:09people again use it to go, "God removed1:01:12it from me. God removed that job from1:01:14me." It's like, "No, you just didn't1:01:15show up."1:01:16>> Right? [laughter]1:01:17So if it puts you at the center, if it1:01:19puts God at the center. So if somebody1:01:21is sitting there and they're going, "God1:01:23removed it." It's because they're1:01:24protecting their heart, right, with the1:01:26job situation, it's because they're1:01:28protecting from themselves from feeling1:01:30bad. That's not God at the center.1:01:31That's you trying to protect your1:01:33feelings basically, right? So versus if1:01:36it's like, "I'm so angry that God1:01:38removed this from me, but you know what?1:01:40Like I submit that and I surrender that1:01:42God, you did remove it from me even1:01:43though I didn't want you to." like that1:01:46was God removing it and it's for my1:01:47greater good, right? Versus it's for my1:01:50greater good, guys. And they're like1:01:51holding back tears. I love God. I swear1:01:53it's was really good, but like deep down1:01:55they don't want to actually admit that,1:01:57right? Or they they don't want to look1:01:59bad in in front of other people. So it's1:02:01is it you at the center? Cuz remember1:02:03idols are not just statues. It could be1:02:04self too, right? So if God wants to1:02:07remove things out of yourself so that1:02:09you don't get worship or you don't1:02:10worship self, then he will actually do1:02:12those things for you. But to say I would1:02:15say if you want to just dumb it down1:02:17simply1:02:17>> please he will remove and add you don't1:02:21have to worry about that like why does1:02:23it matter right I was just about to say1:02:25say cuz like for me I think about like1:02:28what you've always told me like it's not1:02:30if this or that it's whether you do this1:02:32whether you do that God will still work1:02:34and so I think about like I I think1:02:37about my last business and there was so1:02:39many things that felt like God and then1:02:42it also went horribly wrong in a lot of1:02:44ways,1:02:46but I could have toughed it out and1:02:47stayed there in a lot of ways. Maybe1:02:50still and you know, I would have still1:02:53been Yeah. So, that's what I kind of1:02:55think about. It's like there's also just1:02:57decisions where it's like, hey, if you1:02:58stay in it or not, like,1:03:00>> well, if God really doesn't want you to1:03:02stay somewhere though, he will move you.1:03:04Like, genuinely, he will, right? I1:03:06really wanted Johnny's Jajang Mian. I1:03:09had a Johnny's Jajang Men at one point.1:03:12Genuinely. And I really wanted a1:03:13restaurant, but I realized still do want1:03:16one.1:03:16>> I do. But I I realize what it is, okay?1:03:18It's all for self. Like when I wanted a1:03:21restaurant, it was also so that my1:03:23homies could come through and be like,1:03:24"Dang, bro, restaurant is popping. It1:03:27looks dope. There's bies here." Cuz I1:03:29wasn't saved. Bies and super cool stuff.1:03:33Like, and I thought that, but I realized1:03:35the margins are very thin when it comes1:03:38to a restaurant. Um, and when you're1:03:40working with your family, very very1:03:42difficult to difficult to very1:03:44difficult.1:03:45>> Can't work with the Chinese.1:03:46>> Can't work with Chinese people. Can't1:03:48work with the Korean1:03:50>> and you're working with the Korean right1:03:51now. So, what's the difference?1:03:52>> You're not Korean, dude. You're white.1:03:55[laughter]1:03:55>> Jeremy is Jewish.1:03:57>> No way. But yeah, so I mean, God removed1:04:00those things from me and and it crushed1:04:02me. Like I I you know how you guys know1:04:05how it is to like lose something that1:04:07you super super love and most people do.1:04:10It crushed me, man. I cried many many1:04:12nights for real. I was really like sad.1:04:14I was like, "Dang." Cuz cuz I had no1:04:16faith. I had faith genuinely that that1:04:19was going to be the thing and I was1:04:20going to be a guy who just opens a1:04:23string of restaurants and like1:04:24franchises out and I had this big old1:04:26dream of doing like genuinely that was1:04:29my thing. A lot of people don't know1:04:30that, but at the end of the day, I was1:04:32like, I thought I was like left out to1:04:36high and dry. And then now when I look1:04:38at I'm like, God, thank you so much. No1:04:40more 16-hour work days and yelling at1:04:43people and forcing them to come over.1:04:45And then like, yes, you get money, but1:04:47you can't even spend it because you have1:04:48to be there to manage it because you1:04:50don't know systems and processes and1:04:52organization skills and etc., etc. So,1:04:54I'm just so thankful that God actually1:04:56helped me and was like, "Johnny, you're1:04:58let it go." And I wouldn't let it go. I1:05:01wouldn't let it go. He literally like,1:05:03we're in a good location. We're next to1:05:05a bar. Like, it was just amazing. But it1:05:09just didn't work. I was like, "Oh my1:05:11gosh, why is the margin so slim and I1:05:13got to split it with three people?" It1:05:15was just so difficult. And I was so1:05:17difficult. And I went into it as a sole1:05:20prop, too. I didn't go into it as LLC.1:05:22So I took out all the loans and whatever1:05:24and it was all under my my name and then1:05:27when it folded it ruined my credit. So1:05:30that also before that I mean I had like1:05:33close to 800 credit score and then1:05:35through that I literally dropped to 5401:05:38and I was like shocked like what and it1:05:42was sad.1:05:43>> That's like me right now. Yeah. Same at1:05:46540.1:05:47>> Are you really at 540?1:05:49>> No, I'm a little above that. Hey, any1:05:51credit repair people? Come on, man.1:05:52>> Yeah. Yeah. Come on. Where are you guys1:05:54at?1:05:54>> But God is truly a God of restoration.1:05:56He's restored my credit. He's restored1:05:58my health. He's restored my heart. He1:06:00restored everything, man. Honestly. And1:06:02so that God really helped me. And I'm1:06:04not just saying this like whoa. Like1:06:06Kumbaya, hallelujah. Genuinely, he I1:06:09didn't even believe. I I I for the1:06:11longest time was like, man, I guess I1:06:14just am gonna be a dead beat and a bum.1:06:17And I guess I'm just not gonna have1:06:18anything to my name ever. And I guess1:06:20this and man, God was like, "You think1:06:22so?" Like, "Hold my beer." Then like,1:06:25you know, worked on my life heavily,1:06:27man. And so I'm just even like thinking1:06:29about those things time to time, I think1:06:31I forget. But when I bring it back up,1:06:33it really does make me very thankful1:06:35inside of my heart. Like, man, God is1:06:37amazing, dude. I have a really good1:06:38quote for you.1:06:39>> Don't put a comma. Don't put a period1:06:42where God puts a comma.1:06:43>> Holy. That's good.1:06:45>> It's good, isn't Wait, did you think of1:06:46that?1:06:46>> Yes.1:06:47>> That's actually1:06:48>> Yeah. Yeah. What do you think about that1:06:49one? Why does Why are you hater energy1:06:51right now?1:06:52>> That's like copyright infringement1:06:54>> from who? [laughter]1:06:55>> I feel like you stole that from1:06:57somebody.1:06:58>> I mean, tall, handsome.1:07:00>> I I get sizzle jawline.1:07:01>> No, I get I get it's really good. So, it1:07:03feels that way, but trust me, that's1:07:05>> what was the quote again?1:07:06>> Don't put a period where God puts a1:07:08comma.1:07:09>> Place a comma.1:07:10>> Either one. Whichever one flows better1:07:12for you.1:07:13>> Wow. I let people, you know, mix it up.1:07:16>> Don't put a period where God places a1:07:18comma.1:07:18>> Yeah. Do you like that?1:07:19>> Wow, that's a good one, man. Bad or1:07:21good, bad or good, man. You so original.1:07:23>> If you ever want to use it, feel free.1:07:24You guys know where where you heard it1:07:26here first.1:07:27>> You can moas.1:07:28>> Not even. It's free use. You know, I'm1:07:30I'm a I'm I'm I'm for the people1:07:32[laughter] always been. Um, you know,1:07:34just to wrap it up here,1:07:37for someone stuck in the middle of an1:07:38unanswered prayer, what do you want them1:07:41walking away or believing in after1:07:44listening to this episode? The point is1:07:46not to have your prayer answered. I1:07:48understand that you may be in a dire1:07:50situation. I'm not trying to say that1:07:51your pain or the timeline that you have1:07:54doesn't matter, but you have to look up,1:07:56right? You have to understand that God1:07:59genuinely cares about the timeline, too.1:08:02and that God knows your needs before you1:08:04even ask of it as it says in Matthew.1:08:06Right? So, we need more faith to1:08:08understand that we may not understand.1:08:11As crazy as that sounds, right? We need1:08:13more faith to recognize that sometimes1:08:15we're not going to get an answer.1:08:17Sometimes we'll never get that answer.1:08:19But does that then mean that God is not1:08:21helping you and he doesn't care about1:08:22you and he doesn't love you? If you guys1:08:25are questioning God's love, because1:08:26that's usually what it is. If if the1:08:28prayer goes unanswered, you feel1:08:30rejected. You feel like almost as if God1:08:31neglected you and he doesn't love you.1:08:33If you need help remembering his love,1:08:36just look at the cross. Can this guy1:08:40God not love you?1:08:44And if so, does he not love you? And if1:08:47so, why then would this man who doesn't1:08:49love you send his only begotten son to1:08:52die for you on the cross? Is it just to1:08:55like leave you hanging? Right. So, so1:08:58yeah, you don't have to have your1:09:00prayers answered because that unanswered1:09:02prayer if it does become answered but1:09:04draws you away from God and you never1:09:06learn God's heart and you never have a1:09:08relationship with him then basically you1:09:10also wouldn't want that either right any1:09:12believer genuine believer is not going1:09:15to want the blessing without the blesser1:09:18they in fact they rather throw away the1:09:20blessing and just hold on to the person1:09:22who blessed them which is God and Jesus1:09:24and that's what he's trying to do with1:09:26us guys he's trying to do that with1:09:28everybody, right? But the issue is sadly1:09:31we have this heart from the enemy that1:09:33we don't care. Sadly that we're1:09:35hyperfocused on one thing. We spotlight1:09:38and highlight that one thing in our life1:09:40while missing all of the blessings. And1:09:42and practically how you get over an1:09:44unanswered prayer from God is write down1:09:48all the prayers he did answer. Oo, and1:09:50compare them. Compare them, right? I1:09:54guarantee you it's an overwhelming1:09:55amount. Did you wake up today? answered.1:09:58Did How about the prayers that you1:10:00didn't even ask for that he answered?1:10:02The blessings that you didn't ask for1:10:03that he gave. It's just a perspective1:10:05shift, right? But Satan is very good at1:10:07and I understand it, guys. I do the1:10:09same. Hyperfocus on one. I've been1:10:11asking for one thing for so long. He's1:10:13not giving me this one thing, right? But1:10:15what about all the other things that you1:10:16didn't ask for that he gave freely by1:10:18grace because he loves you? That'll1:10:20change your heart. And if it doesn't,1:10:22ask God to change your heart, too, then.1:10:25Amen. Amen.1:10:27>> Amen. Amen.1:10:29>> Well, that wraps up this episode on the1:10:32Unlearned Wisdom podcast. Hope it was1:10:35very, very useful. Name all the prayers1:10:37that God has answered and name an1:10:39unanswered prayer that you're currently1:10:41hoping that he answers.1:10:42>> Oo. List 10 answered prayers from God. I1:10:46want just lists1:10:48of answered prayers. Thank1:11:44you, Father God, for allowing us to have1:11:47this podcast. Lord, you said when two or1:11:49three are gathered, there you are in the1:11:50midst of them. Lord, we can see, God,1:11:52that through the Holy Spirit that you1:11:53want to teach us, Lord, how to wait for1:11:55you, how to abide, and we call the Holy1:11:58Spirit the comforter. Father God, please1:12:00give us comfort, Lord, as we not only1:12:02watch this this podcast, but also as1:12:05we're learning, Lord, how to wait upon1:12:06the Lord, how to accept your thoughts,1:12:09your feelings above our thoughts and our1:12:11feelings. How to accept your word, Lord,1:12:13specifically about the gospel. Please1:12:15allow us to also bend our hearts, Father1:12:17God, and please deal with this gently,1:12:19Lord, because there's so many people who1:12:21struggle, Father God. They struggle with1:12:23waiting upon you. They struggle with1:12:25idolizing things above you and not even1:12:27feeling it. And a lot of the times they1:12:28don't even intend to, Lord. They just1:12:30want that spouse or they want that bank1:12:32account or they want that house and they1:12:34want things to just comfort them. But1:12:36Lord, please don't allow them as the1:12:38Holy Spirit says to miss the comforter.1:12:40Lord, please don't allow them to miss1:12:42the blesser for the blessings. Lord, we1:12:45leave everything in your hands. And in1:12:46Jesus name we pray. Amen.
