Unlearned Wisdom by Johnny Chang
0:00Johnny Chang, rank the crimes that you0:02allegedly committed by how much they0:04taught you. What's number one, and why0:06is it the one you're most ashamed of?0:10So, it always starts off small, but then0:12it goes to like strongarming people0:14where it's like you're literally masked0:16up and you walk up to these people. I0:18was genuinely a monster in a lot of0:20ways. And I did it just for the thrill.0:22Would you never be scared of getting0:23shot? Nah, because I was just like that.0:25It's an adrenaline thing. It's like,0:27man, these foods ain't going to do it to0:28me. I get why people don't like me.0:30Straight up. I get why people are like,0:31"He's a fraud." Bro is over here talking0:33about Christianity if they knew what he0:35did. The fact that I was so0:36manipulative, so kind of down for the0:39cause, but all of it was because I was0:41at the center of it showed me truly how0:43egotistical I was as a human being.0:45>> Which sin has made you the most money?0:47>> You shouldn't have asked that question.0:52So today's topic, I'm not going to lie,0:55it might trigger some people, but0:57please, please watch to the very end.1:00You guys know it's all about context.1:02Okay, so today we'll be talking about1:05why a lot of churches teach incorrectly,1:07why pastors can't really be vulnerable,1:10especially with their congregation, and1:12towards the end, we're going to teach1:13how to actually find a gospel- centered1:16church that will be vulnerable, that1:18will be real with you. Welcome back to1:20another episode on the Unlearn Wisdom1:22podcast with yours truly, Pastor Johnny1:24Chang, where every episode is a gospel-1:27centered lesson that you could apply to1:28your life today.1:30>> Today, like, comment, subscribe,1:32download the audio episode.1:34>> So, I work with a lot of churches. You1:38guys know that we work1:39cross-denominationally,1:4190 different countries. And I can count1:44on one hand scripturally, biblically,1:47and spiritually how many people are1:50actually teaching from the Bible and1:52teaching correctly. Most of it is what I1:55call emotionalism or like feelings-based1:59and or works based, which is also part2:02of feelings, right? Um when a person,2:04for example, thinks that they're keeping2:05the commandments perfectly, then they2:08feel more spiritual as a church. when2:10they feel like the church congregation2:12is growing, that's an indicator that2:14yeah, I actually am teaching correctly.2:16But none of that actually matters2:18because then you'd have to discredit2:20Isaiah, Jeremiah. Jeremiah is literally2:22called the weeping prophet cuz he had no2:25disciples. Not not one person was saved2:28in his time. Imagine you're serving God2:30for like 60 years. It's like though you2:32ever see like those grandpas on Facebook2:35that have like one live viewer but2:37they're every week like and Jesus and2:39they're just going like years and you're2:40like dang bro's passionate which respect2:43to those people but that was like2:46grandpa Jeremiah right it's like2:48>> wouldn't that be a bad thing if you have2:49it means you have no you're what what2:51you're doing isn't working wouldn't you2:53have to adjust2:54>> true but I mean tell that to Jeremiah2:58right like he's a prophet by the way3:00like hey prophet adjust you need social3:02media background you it's like it's just3:04difficult right but it's not about how3:07many congregate members you have is the3:09point but many people think that I have3:11a church I have a million churches out3:14there I have a million followers that3:15doesn't mean jackly squat how many3:17people are there reading the Bible as3:20the Bible says becoming like the barian3:22church studying day and night becoming3:24hungry for the word genuinely having the3:27fruit of the spirit which is Jesus at3:29the center of everything I mean these3:30are very very big indicator. So why I3:34thought about this was because as I'm3:36sitting back and I'm kind of thinking3:38about all of my experiences and all of3:40my perspectives on just the church in3:42general, what I'm seeing shift crazy is3:47this everyone doesn't want theology3:50anymore. They're all wanting feelings3:52and emotions and I guess validation. So3:56what I'm seeing is emotionalism,3:58individualism4:00mixed in with like theology.4:02>> Give give a a clear example4:04>> from the book of opinions.4:06>> Yeah. Book of opinions.4:07>> Yeah. Aaron Aaron's favorite book.4:09>> It's the best one.4:10>> He's the author.4:11>> Yeah. So emotionalism is this. It starts4:14with the sentence, what this feels to4:16me, what this means to me. Emotionalism4:21is purely based off of emotions. So, it4:24could be I I swear this isn't a joke,4:26but I remember like hearing this lady4:29talk about how she had severe4:31depression, like manic depression, was4:34taking Prozac, anti-depressants, nothing4:37was working for her. She had a crazy4:39traumatic past, was molested, the whole4:41nine.4:43She comes to one of our conferences and4:45you know the the Gracias choir is4:48singing which is this worldrenowned4:50choir and they're singing like uh opera4:53style music and she's just sitting there4:56like swaying and like going like feeling4:58it which again isn't a bad thing but5:00once she finishes she's like I want to5:03give a testimony. I want to testify what5:05God has done in my life. She steps down.5:07She she kind of we meet with her in the5:09room. It's like me, multiple other5:11pastors, and we're like, "Yeah, so what5:13is your testimony?" Right. We want to5:16see if she's like saved, whatever. She5:18goes, "So, prior to coming here, I am5:23from, you know, Romania and I in there,5:26there's like a lot of gypsy culture.5:28We've been through a lot of trauma." She5:29starts giving her testimony. Long story5:31short, she says the way she discovered5:33God, because one of the pastors asked,5:34"Well, how did you discover God or how5:37did he discover you?" She sits there and5:39she goes, "I was sitting there and one5:42day it was just raining, pouring rain,5:45like heavy flooding rain and she was5:48thinking about just like you know5:51basically her life and [clears throat]5:54how depressed she was, why she became5:56depressed5:57and she goes and then I realized that6:00God I felt his presence and pastors were6:04like okay and I realized that what God6:07was doing was And she starts getting6:09emotional. She's like, "He was crying6:11with me cuz like the rain was raining6:14down, right?" And and right there, this6:17is how you know I'm kind of mean. But in6:19my head, I was like, "But why would God6:22cry and not solve your problem?" Right?6:24That's what I thought. And then one of6:26the pastors said exactly what I thought.6:29Hey sister, can I ask you something?6:31[clears throat] Is God limited? No. He's6:33almighty. He's amazing. And she's like6:35tearing up, you know.6:37May I ask why he didn't just help you6:39out of it and just kind of cried? And6:42then she's like like her face shifted.6:45She's like, "What? So are you saying6:48that my testimony isn't like she started6:50getting mad again? Emotionalism is this.6:53Holy Spirit told me. I felt it with pure6:57conviction. And if you say that that's6:59not it, I'm going to also based off7:02emotions counter that counter that and7:04get get angry and get frustrated and get7:06defensive. So that's emotionalism. It7:09that's crazy just because it's so7:10classic that emotionalism is obviously7:12like from your feelings and not from the7:14Bible and and people who aren't really7:16studied in the Bible wouldn't know what7:17what's in it and what's not. But it's7:19like where in the Bible does it say that7:20rain is God's tears? Like where are you7:22pulling this thought even from?7:24>> And if rain is God's tears, what's7:26thunder? [laughter]7:28facts though.7:30>> God's wifi. [laughter] I'm just kidding.7:33>> He's just ripping up there. Like7:35>> Well, well, I would say I would say to7:37counter Aaron, right? Uh is like, you7:40know, God sent a rainbow to Noah.7:42There's like times where God would send7:45natural signs to people.7:47>> They also don't know the Bible, so7:48that's valid. So that's7:49>> true. True. But the rainbow is for the7:51covenant, though. It's something that he7:53finished and did.7:54>> Oh, classic. this guy to argue me like7:56he knows everything. No, I'm just7:57[laughter] kidding.7:58>> And rain actually in the Bible is scary8:01because he caused it to rain 40 days and8:0340 nights and wiped the whole world. So8:05I was like, was God trying to kill you?8:07[laughter]8:10>> And bro, it was she said it was flood8:12waters.8:13>> She built an ark. [laughter]8:16>> Like what are you doing with these 2x4s?8:19>> I was just saying of like why people8:21skim the Bible and use that to be like8:23God send signs. Yeah. Yeah.8:24>> I mean, so I don't think that God8:27doesn't send signs. The problem is she8:30based it solely off of that8:32>> and was still kind of missing the point,8:34right? And so pastor was trying to8:37preach the gospel to her. And8:38[clears throat] to be honest,8:40emotionalism puts you at the throne. And8:42what I mean by that is when pastor was8:44trying to preach the gospel to her, I8:46was there. I witnessed it. She wasn't8:47listening.8:48>> She literally was like, "No, I don't8:50like this. Like you guys didn't uh8:52validate me." and because you'd8:54invalidate me in my emotions, I'm not8:56going to hear what you have to say. But8:58what if God sent servants to preach the9:00gospel to you and you're not listening9:02to that, right? It's like it could go so9:04many ways. Um, [clears throat]9:06and why would someone say that? Like,9:08and she would she would repeat that no9:10one in their right mind, nobody would do9:13this. This is a per if you're, you know,9:15she's like super like Christian, if9:17you're Christian, your Holy Spirit, you9:20would match my Holy Spirit. No one would9:22say this. And he's like, "Yeah, so why9:25do you think I'm saying it?9:26>> Do you really think what I'm saying is9:28beneficial to me? Why would I say that?"9:31And and I saw her buffer. She's like,9:33"But and then that that's why emotions9:35are so dangerous because it doesn't it9:37throws away logic." [clears throat] The9:40last time, when's the last time we were9:41emotional? Like you're literally going9:44like, "I don't care. I'm just going to9:46When you argue with someone who's9:47emotional, you don't even know what9:49they're saying."9:51>> Well, here's the thing. The thing about9:52it is well that's why that's the thing9:54and you're like okay what are you say9:56are you calling me stupid no I literally9:59I'm just trying to figure what are you10:00and it's like I know I get like that10:02100%. So when someone is emotional,10:05you're not logical. You're you're10:07literally compromised emotionally,10:09mentally, even physically. How then are10:11you able to have a direct conversation10:13with somebody? And God gives us a sound10:16mind, clarity, he gives us peace,10:19humility. So what I saw from her was10:22everything opposite of that, right? Just10:24an observation. But the right response10:27would have been like, "Hey, that does10:29make sense. Well, you're more studied.10:32You obviously are running these10:34conferences. You kind of know more about10:36God. I just came to God. Although that10:38kind of hurts my feelings because I10:40guess it's a little disappointing and10:41discouraging. What was your basis for10:44that? Like why where do you draw this10:45conclusion? That would be somebody who10:47would be correct, right? Like it hurts.10:49I'm not saying don't grieve, but when10:51you're fully like it hurt me and because10:53it hurt me now I'm defensive. Now it's10:56messed up my identity and I you're10:58completely the enemy now. And Paul says11:00this in the Bible where he says, "Am I11:02your enemy because I tell you the11:03truth?" Right? It's like some people11:06can't handle the truth. Emotionalism11:08throws out the truth and weaves its own11:11truth based off of your emotions which11:13are subjective and relative to the11:15situation.11:15>> Well, I just want to quickly say that11:16like also like you're not like blaming11:18people for feeling like this. Like don't11:20think that if anyone's listening and11:21they feel this way like you're not11:22getting shamed. J's just like calling it11:24how it is. Like we I can fully11:26understand emotionalism. Like obviously11:29I've strugg like the natural human thing11:31is oh I feel sad or upset that let me11:33react to that or oh I feel happy. It's11:35like really hard. It takes a crazy level11:36of maturity for someone to take11:38something negative and not be upset11:40about it.11:40>> So it's just like a11:42>> no one's getting blamed.11:43>> You're constantly on your period.11:45>> Um Jesus.11:46>> And then what was the second one?11:47>> Well no. So you said emo it was like the11:49three traps that you see. You said it11:51was emotionalism.11:51>> Emotionalism. Um11:53>> legalism.11:54>> Legalism. Legalism is very big. I would11:57say they go neck and neck. It's between11:58the two and sometimes they're in they're12:01like in conjunction with one another. So12:03someone is very emotional because12:05they're legal legal like because they're12:07very legalistic. And also because12:09they're very legalistic, they're also12:10very emotional. And what I mean by that12:12is there was a church that I had uh12:15preached at one time and they told me to12:18come down and they were speaking in12:19tongues. They were kind of a charismatic12:21church and at the same time they were12:24very very legalistic. So it's a blend12:26where they were saying if you don't have12:28the gifts, if you don't speak in12:30tongues, it doesn't matter how much you12:32talk about Jesus, you're not saved. So12:35that was the the the conversation they12:37had with me because he was literally12:39kicked me out of his church. He was12:41like, you know, one day we're going to12:43get brother Johnny Cheng to speak in12:46tonesues, right? I noticed he doesn't12:47pray in tonesues. He doesn't speak in12:49tonesues. And I was like, uhhuh. And I12:51kind of laughed, but he didn't laugh.12:52And so I was like, oh, he's serious.12:54after I had went to his church, brought12:5673 new people to his church, legit, we13:00then sit down and he's a very13:02charismatic like you know uh powerful13:05like preaching pastor and he goes let me13:07ask you something you know why don't you13:10you know speak in tongues is it shall we13:12pray over you right now everybody can13:14come in and we'll pray but they put13:15their hands out and I'm like no it's not13:16that I think Jesus at the center of it13:19is most important and um I started to13:22give scripture right 1 Corin Corinthians13:2413:8-1013:261 Corinthians 14 how to speak in tongues13:28you have to have three people gathered13:30one has to keep account another person13:31has to speak and only one speaks at a13:33time one has to interpret and when when13:36I saw as legalistic as he was where it's13:39like if you don't have the gifts of the13:41spirit you're going to hell you're not13:43saved when I presented him true13:45legalistic doctrine which is this is13:47what it says he then flipped to the13:49emotional side which was like but that's13:52not what it's talking about this ain't13:54because he felt I could see right away13:56he felt threatened13:57>> and then he even said he said even even14:00Satan I knew he was threatened because14:02he goes even Satan can quote scripture14:05>> so I'm like damn so you're calling me14:07Satan right now you know and so it was14:10only because he was pushing and then I14:13said hey let's go to scripture when when14:16he acted like he was about scripture but14:18when I went to scripture he I could see14:20he had never seen these verses it It was14:23as if like when he busted it open, he he14:25like leaned in. The lean in is crazy,14:27[laughter]14:28right? He's like, [clears throat]14:31"But that's not the like he started14:32getting mad, right?" Exactly. And so I14:35think what I again what I'm recognizing14:37is people who are legalistic, two14:40things. They don't actually try to keep14:42the law because if you did and you tried14:45perfectly, you would know you can't do14:46it. That's number one. Number two, they14:49don't actually read. It's more of I14:52heard something. I see hella legalistic14:54people. This was kind of passed down to14:57me in my ministry and that's what I'm14:59going to run with. And so that's where15:02people fold, right? And I think that's15:04what happens now. It's starting to make15:06sense why so much of our congregation15:08because core of the heart, I I I say15:10this humbly, but everyone that ever15:13comes to Core of the Heart, and we were15:14just in Sweden, they said the same15:16thing. They're locked in when it comes15:18to teaching. They're locked in when it15:20comes to preaching and they're locked in15:21when it comes to scripture. They they15:23genuinely are like, "Where does the15:25scripture say that? Can you explain the15:27context?" And they themselves go and15:30search the scripture and go, "Dang."15:32I've had people come in my Discord stage15:34and go, "Dang, Johnny." Like, sometimes15:37we think you're just spitting verses and15:39they're just random verses. But I'll15:41literally be on the side like pocket15:43watching you with verses and that's and15:45you're literally verbatim saying the15:47verse and I'm like damn this is kind of15:49crazy. So [snorts] it lets down the wall15:52because most people can quote scripture15:55but they don't give the context and they15:56don't break it down the way that we do.15:58So core of the heart is very good at16:01studying scripture. We have a mod ma16:04Ella. She's read the Bible like seven16:06times now. She's only 19 years old. Like16:08this is and before she met me, she16:10didn't read it once, right? So, and she16:12met us I think when she was 16.16:14>> She's read it seven times.16:16>> Seven times in three years.16:18>> Like that's But that's what happens.16:19>> I'm inching I'm inching to one.16:22>> Yeah. So, you know, and16:23>> I'm inching. All right.16:26[laughter]16:28>> Thank God. Explain that.16:29>> But no need. Search for it in the Bible.16:33No, I'm just kidding.16:33>> If you get it, you know. Essentially,16:35it's it's so there's legalism, there's16:38workspace, which is tied together.16:40Emotionalism, believe it or not, are all16:41kind of tied together.16:44Nobody told you that faith would come16:46with this many unanswered questions. You16:48pray, you read, you fast, you tithe, and16:50yet you're still not growing. But there16:52are things that you're still carrying16:53that you haven't said out loud to16:55anybody. Not because the answer doesn't16:57exist, but because you don't know who to16:58ask. That's exactly why every Tuesday I17:01do a group mentorship session. You bring17:03your questions and whatever you've been17:05sitting on. Whether it's a decision you17:07can't make, past trauma you're still17:09working through, or a relationship17:10that's draining you, and I answer them17:12scripturally, foundationally, with17:14biblical truths that meet you exactly17:16where you are. Even if you're not ready17:18to ask a question yet, come and listen17:20in because chances are somebody else in17:23that room is carrying the same weight17:24you are. It doesn't matter if you're new17:26in faith or you've been walking with God17:28for many years. No question is too17:30small, too messy, or even too17:32complicated. The group mentorship is an17:33exclusive benefit for gold members only.17:36To join, download Cordar daily or use17:39the link in the description. I'll see17:40you guys Tuesday.17:42>> There's another one I feel like and17:44maybe this is tied to emotionalism. It's17:46not Well, what I see is like Instagram17:49inspiration pastor17:51>> and it's like that is still kind of tied17:54to emotion. I think the other thing you17:56said was when it's feelings like you17:58said emotionalism, feelings like I think18:00I feel God's my like God spoke to me or18:04whatever it is, but I also see like the18:06inspirational pastor.18:08>> Yeah.18:08>> And I say Instagram inspiration because18:10it feels like you're at like a18:12leadership conference.18:13>> Well, that would be performative was the18:15next one I was thinking, but yeah, go18:17ahead. Sorry.18:18>> No, I've lost my train of thought.18:19[laughter] I'm just kidding. No, but I I18:21think everybody everybody is familiar18:23with that where it just feels like18:25you're at like a a a TED talk than you18:28are somebody that's like studied the18:31word. And it's more of like discipline18:33and consistency is what's going to help18:36you break out of your sins. And I'm18:38like,18:39>> okay, okay, David Gogggins, like18:41[laughter]18:41>> that's a huge difference that I noticed18:43like before meeting Johnny coming from18:45like completely secular thing. It's18:46like, okay, Christian is just Christian.18:48It's all the same. I had no idea. But18:49now I see the pure difference of like18:50truly scripturally biblically focused,18:53Jesus focused Christians versus like I18:55grew up religious, we go to church, we18:58we do good deeds and we're good19:00Christians. Totally different.19:02>> Yeah. Or we go there for the good19:04message. Like a lot of people will19:06>> I used to go into those those sermons or19:09hear them every once in a while and be19:10like, "Okay, like I kind of get it."19:12Like, "Okay, that was an interesting19:13point." But then once I started hearing19:15from you and Pastor Kim, I was like, I19:17can't hear it the same anymore. [snorts]19:19>> It's just very tough. It's like that's19:21like you're just you're just a19:23motivational you feel like my business19:25coach or something. [laughter]19:26>> And then no, that's how I felt growing19:27up too. Like we would always go to19:28church on Christmas and it's only just19:30because like I thought that's like what19:32you had to do. That's what you do. I was19:33never taught the significance or what we19:35were doing in church or what the19:36scripture meant. It's just like it's19:38Christmas so you go to church and it's19:39like that's just like you have to. It19:41feels good. you're supposed to. It's19:43like it's just not19:45>> it's just different. It's a different19:46mindset.19:47>> Hundo P I think. Yeah. It's it's all19:49about performative stuff too, right?19:51It's19:52>> when you do the TED talks, you're when19:54you're being motivational and19:56inspirational that gets to move the19:59crowd. And so that's why some pastors20:02and some worship like singers step off20:05stage like they're Drake. [laughter]20:07like legit throw their little earpiece20:10like I did that you know it's like and20:13it's because it's purely performative20:15it's purely emotion very little20:17scripture and they're preaching instead20:20of teaching right so we we're called to20:22also teach and disciple people but20:25preaching is much easier because you20:27could just talk big key words you can20:30say God is coming and we have to prepare20:32and God is going to they use key words20:34like step into your salvation and20:36protect your provision And it's like all20:38these different things where they're20:39oneline bangers, sure, but they don't20:42actually they're empty. They don't have20:44substance to them. I think that's where20:46a lot of go ahead.20:48>> No, let's start an instant fight. When20:49you were doing that impression, who are20:51you thinking of? [laughter]20:52>> I'm just kidding.20:53>> Don't do it.20:53>> I'm just kidding. Start naming.20:56>> I'm just kidding.20:57>> Have we seen so many worship teams? And20:58I think it's really funny the difference20:59is like sometimes a worship team will21:01have a bunch of reserved seats in the21:03sanctuary. So when they get off stage,21:04they go listen to the sermon. And then21:06there's worship teams that they get off21:07stage and head backstage and don't even21:09listen to the sermon. It's like,21:10[laughter]21:11>> what are you doing here?21:12>> Facts though. I noticed that too where21:14we'll we'll, you know, go to these21:16certain places and and churches and I'll21:19I'll I'll look over to see and because21:21I'm, you know, taking a kind of like21:23data from the crowd and seeing reactions21:25and seeing who's locked in and who's21:26not. And nine times out of 10, it's kind21:29of sad, but the pastors that invite me21:31or people that, you know, church leaders21:33that invite me or even the worship teams21:35are not listening to my message. And I'm21:37like, sheesh, that's kind of crazy21:39because what we're taught in our church21:41is that even if they're secular, even if21:43they don't know salvation, we are to sit21:45there and listen to the fruit of the21:46spirit. Like, what are they saying? What21:47is their heart posture? I see people21:49just straight up like whatever. They21:51just leave. They sit in the back room or21:53they they, you know, go off. And some21:55people were like I'm like, "Hey, where's21:57the pastor?" "Oh, he went to go eat."21:58I'm like, "Damn, [laughter]21:59literally throwing an event at your22:01church. You know, what's going on here?"22:02Right? So, it's it's really sad. Um, but22:05at the same time, I get it because22:08it just show it just goes to show like22:10you'd mentioned Christmas is just out of22:12formality basically. I just and it's the22:15same thing. Well, I just want him to22:17come here and I'm kind of going to22:18accessorize him honestly to build the22:20church. Who cares? Like, I don't care22:22about his message. I don't care about22:23really what even God has to say. I just22:25want to build up this church so that I22:27have an audience every Sunday to be able22:29to preach to them. Right? And that22:30happens with a lot of churches. You guys22:32will be shocked. And that's why I say22:34many churches, a lot, not all, but many22:38and and a lot of churches teach22:39incorrectly is because two things. They22:42teach rules and emotions versus22:45relationship with God. So they don't22:47want you to get closer to God. It's more22:49of like they just want to teach this is22:52how you get closer to God by following22:54rules and this is how you feel God every22:57you have to feel the presence of God22:59right and what that does which is very23:02dangerous and is a hidden danger is it23:04leads to checkboxing because now you're23:06like okay23:08>> is my salvation based off of my23:10relationship with God necessarily. It's23:12based off of how many rules I can keep.23:13So checked off that rule. Didn't lust23:15today. Didn't drink today. Didn't smoke23:17today. I'm a good Christian.23:18checkboxing, right? But what pastors23:21don't realize because they're not23:22discerned or studied is that that that23:24energy then flips onto them.23:26>> So that's why when when a pastor does23:28fall, everybody's checkboxing and23:31kicking them out23:32>> because they've learned from the23:34congregation that and the church23:37leadership that this is what's right and23:39this is what's wrong and if you do23:41something wrong, you're gone. Right?23:43Also, they've learned how to be23:45emotional. We see people all the way23:48down to the worship team, all the way23:50down to people who are part of the23:51church talk exactly like the pastor.23:55Like the way their messages even I'm23:57like, bro, you're you're literally23:59mirroring what your pastor is saying.24:01The energy, the pride, the ego, the24:04performiveness, the you could literally24:06see if you peep game, go to any church,24:08you'll see like all of them are just24:10replica like replicating each other and24:12repeating what other people are saying24:14in the same congregation. So, it's kind24:16of crazy that that happens.24:18>> Even the tonality, it's like YouTube24:19voice.24:20>> They all have pastor voice.24:22>> Yeah. All of them. All of them.24:24>> But no, I don't want to even jump ahead,24:26but it's like you're saying, "Oh, they24:27like you go to feel good." It's like,24:29and when we're talk when we're going to24:30talk about how to decide which church is24:32right, it's like, when's the last time24:33you've been to a sermon and left feeling24:35terrible because you heard the truth? M24:37>> if you go to a sermon and you always24:39just leave super happy and you heard all24:41this amazing stuff, it's like that could24:43be performative24:44>> because where's the truth?24:46>> If you leave a sermon and you're like24:47kind of devastated and need to reflect24:49and you feel convicted that maybe you24:51heard some truth.24:52>> Hundo pund.24:54Um, I think also why a lot of churches24:58won't change the incorrect teaching is25:00because there is a delusion of safety25:04inside of following rules, right?25:08Because if you follow rules, you draw25:10value from following those rules. It25:12makes you feel like an upright25:14Christian, an upright citizen. And25:16that's why even in this world, strip25:18Christianity aside, people are super25:21happy. I follow the rules. I did great.25:23Look, I waited in line. I didn't cut.25:25And I'm like, "Okay, Karen, relax."25:28[laughter]25:30>> There's someone behind that there must25:33have been. I mean, there must have been.25:35>> But there's this control of Yeah. I feel25:38safe and a safety net where I follow the25:40rules. You can't touch me type of thing,25:42you know. But again, it's very dangerous25:45because once you stop following the25:47rules, it creates divide. It creates25:50exile. And like it even creates25:52exaltation where I followed the rules,25:55they didn't forget them. And I see that25:57so much. I'll go to any church and the26:00one thing I'll peep and is in every26:02church is not just incorrect teaching,26:04not just emotionalism,26:06gossiping.26:08Whether it's about this brother or26:10sister or their pastor or their brothers26:13and sisters or other I'm like, damn, you26:15fools [clears throat] be gossiping about26:17everybody. Whether it's joking or not,26:20that's not a bad thing. It's just more26:22of like, yo, you guys are because you26:25have performative checklists and those26:27people obviously didn't follow those26:29checklists and match that standard now26:32somehow spiritually, even though they26:34don't say it, they do treat them less26:36than. And so, I've seen that, too. And26:38again, why churches run off of rules,26:41emotions are no good because of this.26:44It's it's literally going to you're26:46supposed to unite the church.26:48Christianity is all about unity and yet26:51it's all divided and broken and it's26:53solely because of people gossiping. Only26:56rules are taught. Only regulations are26:59taught. No relationship is really27:01taught. And then it's like get like me27:03energy. That's what I also noticed. It's27:05holier than thou aka get like me. So if27:08you're not like me and I'm a leader, too27:11bad you're not a leader. You're pushed27:13out. Can you explain what relationship27:16means? Because rules is obvious. It's27:18like, hey, follow the ten commandments27:19or follow these27:20>> like whatever what whatever we deem as27:23rules within our church. But what does27:25like what does it mean when a pastor or27:27a church is focused on relationship?27:29>> Good. So, good question. So,27:32>> you hear that? Good question. I haven't27:33heard him say that to you today.27:36>> I'm just kid [laughter]27:38again. Get back there.27:42So to have a real relationship with God27:45is teaching surrender to God but also27:49not just surrender but teaching what27:52Jesus Christ taught which is thinking27:55about other people. So Jesus was on the27:57cross he obviously thought about us. He28:00was literally getting murdered on the28:02cross hung up on the cross and he goes28:05father forgive them. He prays for them28:07the same people who are hurting him. So28:09having a relationship, even if28:11Christianity aside, is thinking about28:14somebody else. So if if I'm in a28:16relationship with somebody and I only28:17think about myself, that's not going to28:19be a healthy relationship. Cuz if that28:22person only thinks about themselves,28:24they can't sacrifice. They'll sacrifice28:26up until the point of where it breaks28:28their brain or hits their limit and go,28:30I don't want to do this. This is28:31inconvenience to me. So I'm not going to28:34I'm not going to bend for you.28:35Basically, so in the same stroke,28:38relationship in Christianity is the28:40same. What does Jesus want? That that28:43one line should be the the the headline28:46of the church, right? Is what are we28:48doing for Jesus? Would God approve of28:50this? What would he think about this? Am28:52I running it to his standard? This is28:55how you have a relationship because28:57every relationship is sacrificing for28:59one another, compromising for one29:01another, putting other people above you.29:03Like any relationship, as simple as that29:05is, that's what we have to do. Now, most29:08churches are not even thinking about29:10what Jesus wants. They think about what29:12they think Jesus wants.29:14>> Right? So, that's the that again the the29:16the deception of Satan. He's very29:18cunning and he's very sly. He will be29:21like, "But you have a church, but people29:23are coming to get baptized. You're doing29:25something right." It's like, right, but29:27what does God actually want out of all29:29of that? Does he just want is it what29:31you want weaved in with God's will? Or29:33have you really sat there and sat in29:36your secret place in your room and go,29:38God, what is it that you want? We at at29:41our church, we're taught that. Go to29:43your secret place and literally think29:45about what it is that God wants. And29:47honestly, the simple hack is the gospel.29:51Anything that's focused on the gospel,29:53anything that is to save souls, because29:55there's tons of scripture, right? 129:58Timothy chapter 2 verse 1-4 talks about30:01this is good to God for all men to be30:03saved and come to the knowledge of30:04truth. Uh 1 Corinthians 2:2 talks about30:08Paul saying that he only focuses on30:11Jesus Christ and him being crucified30:13because that's the only thing you have30:14to worry about. It's just these things30:16of like focus on the gospel. That's how30:20you build a real relationship.30:22Nobody told me that faith would be this30:24lonely. I thought when I gave my life to30:26God, everything would just click.30:27Community, peace, direction. A lot of us30:30are out here just trying to figure it30:31out alone. Your family thinks it's a30:33phase. You go to church on Sunday,30:34you're smiling, and then on Monday,30:36reality hits and you're back alone in30:39your home in your thoughts. I know30:40exactly what that's like. I got out of30:42prison at the age of 25. I didn't have a30:44church home. I didn't have friends. I30:46didn't even really have family to back30:47me up. I had God. I had a Bible. But30:50more importantly than anything, I had a30:52pastor who I could lean on to ask30:53questions and to just receive mentorship30:55and have fellowship with. And the thing30:57that changed everything for me wasn't30:58just studying alone. It was actually31:00having someone I could bring my real31:02questions to. Not the Sunday school31:04questions, the real ones, the ones that31:06keep you up at night. The ones that make31:07you feel unworthy because you can't31:09figure it out on your own. Therefore,31:11you feel as if you're less of a31:12Christian. Look at all these new people32:43that are coming to my church. Look at32:45how many baptis you just said baptisms.32:47That's a soul saved32:49>> and every month, you know, we're32:51tracking those sorts of things." Yeah.32:53How like32:55>> how would what would you say to that? If32:57if you feel like the church is being32:59legalistic, but they also are like, "But33:01look at these people that are coming and33:02they their lives have changed and this33:05person stopped doing drugs and these33:06people got baptized and but you could33:08stop doing drugs without God. You could33:11come to and congregate in a building33:13without God. People do that at the club.33:15People feel changed. There are people33:17that I know who are literally still33:19raving and popping e and they're like 5033:21plus years old. They feel great. I would33:24say they're super not. Some of these33:26ravers are the nicest people I know.33:28>> Wonder why.33:29>> Literally the nicest. I love God. He's33:31so amazing. I also love Buddha. And I33:33was like, super nice, right? Beautiful33:35people.33:37>> Does that mean you have a relationship33:38with God though? No. Just because you33:41come to church. The Pharisees had33:42multiple followers. The Pharisees had33:46nice clothes. They were dripped up.33:48Amazing people. The standard of what33:51everybody wants. But Jesus literally33:53goes, "You have no relationship with me.33:55I don't know who you are. You're33:57literally a wolf in sheep's clothing.33:59So, what then is relationship? The34:02gospel. How focused is this person on34:05the gospel? Not what they think is34:07focused on the gospel. Are they really34:10searching scripture? Are they really,34:12believe it or not, reading the Bible.34:14The one thing about having faith in a34:16relationship is to understand what faith34:21is. What is faith? Faith comes by34:24hearing hearing the word of God. Well,34:26what is the word of God? Literally in34:29the Bible, it says, "The word of God was34:30made flesh and dwelt among us." John34:321:14, John 1:1 says, "In the beginning,34:35the word was with God. The word was34:38God." So, if you come to me and I don't34:42care how many baptisms you have,34:44respectfully, we baptized, you know,34:461500 people or, 1300 people in Arizona.34:49How many people from that baptism are34:52now going to Christ, studying the word,34:56trying to get into the word to have real34:58faith, nurture their faith, and have a34:59real relationship with God. That's what35:02we're focused on. So, there's house35:04churches that we have that are 30 deep,35:0720 deep, 10 deep, seven deep, but every35:10one of them has a true relationship with35:12God. And how do we know? By studying the35:15Bible. So, are you saying that if you're35:19not reading your Bible, you don't have a35:20real relation?35:22>> If you're not reading your Bible,35:25you're not opening the mouth of God.35:28You're not then hearing from the word of35:30God, and you're not even visiting Jesus,35:32which is the logos in Coney Greek, which35:35is the word. So, people visit what they35:38think Jesus is in their mind through35:40prayer and fasting. Again, none of those35:42things are bad. Fasting and prayer is35:44amazing. supplication. All that is35:46amazing. But the Bible tells us to study35:49the Bible. The Bible literally says in 235:52Timothy 3:16 that all manner of35:55scripture, not church doctrine, not35:58religion, not all religion, not all36:00church doctrine, not all church fathers,36:03all this stuff, right? Because people36:04can fail. The scripture does not fail.36:07And so that's why it says all manner of36:09scripture is inspired by God, by the36:13holy God. And it's used for reproof,36:16correction, relationship, relation.36:20Literally, that's how you have a36:22relation. It's right there in the book.36:23Please read it. Right? It's telling you36:25if you want to know me, you have to know36:27my word. If you want to accept me, you36:30also have to accept my word. Cuz I can36:32sit there and go, I have a relationship36:33with God, but I also have a relationship36:35with Buddha. But that's subjective36:37because the Bible says you can't do36:39that. But if you never read the Bible,36:42how would you know that? it would just36:43be your own kind of interpretation and36:46now you're being led astray and probably36:48leading other people astray. That's why36:51I know pastors who haven't even finished36:53the B huge congregations by the way have36:56not even finished the Bible two, three,36:57four, five times and I'm just like what37:00are you going off of? And they're the37:03humble ones will literally tell you,37:05well what God tells me through my heart,37:08what God what I feel, right? At the end37:11of the day though, even Jesus quoted37:13Deuteronomy. Even Jesus quoted Psalm.37:16Even Paul quoted Jeremiah, right? Like,37:19how are you going to tell me that these37:21people are quoting people ahead of them37:23who have written books in the Bible and37:25you're quoting your heart? A heart that37:27is deceitful, desperately wicked, who37:30can know it as Jeremiah tells us. So,37:32it's just very difficult. And that's why37:34churches are teaching incorrectly. I'm37:36not saying this to say that they don't37:39have good intention. I think everyone I37:42respect pastors who set up and organize37:44these events for people to come. I37:47respect pastors who will fly us out,37:49right? This is no shot at them. I just37:51want people to understand if you're37:53really going to have a relationship, it37:55takes more than baptizing people. It37:57takes more than even nurturing people37:59cuz you can nurture them incorrectly,38:02too. Right? I was nurtured by my gang. I38:05was taught you you shoot a gun this way,38:08you hold the gun this way, you you know,38:10pull the trigger this way. I mean, they38:13were teaching me skills and things like38:15that that were used for negative things.38:17Lastly, there's also people that focus38:20more on the emotional side of things.38:23And38:24you have to have emotions. We're human.38:27But when those things become the center38:29point and the thing that you you the38:32measuring stick, if you will, it it has38:35become corrupted one 1,000 million%.38:39That's just kind of how it is.38:42>> You know, kind of on the pastor topic,38:45why is it hard for most pastors to be38:48vulnerable today?38:49>> I think because somewhere along the38:51line, they learned that leadership means38:53you have to be strong and you never mess38:55up. M38:57>> right cuz cuz you're a leader. A pastor38:59at the end of the day is whether it's an39:01associate pastor, assistant pastor, head39:03pastor, founding pastor, lead pastor,39:05doesn't matter. Um youth pastor, you're39:08taught somewhere along the line in your39:11life, you picked up, oh, in order for me39:14to be in a leadership role, I am the39:16standard. I cannot mess up. That doesn't39:19that disqualifies me. And so that's why39:22they're they're actually very39:23performative, right? They'll they'll39:26they'll perform and hi, how are you?39:28Like, no, it's fine. I love you. Like,39:30it's very this, but inside they're like39:32rotting away, right? We can tell because39:34we're discerned. We can see people and39:36they they have to be nice to people39:38because they're afraid that when they're39:41feeling frustrated, people will then go,39:44"Well, you're the standard. Why the hell39:46are you being frustrated? Like, I don't39:47understand." But the issue is what I've39:50learned is performative pastors create39:52performative congregations, too.39:54>> [snorts]39:55>> So if you're super performative,39:58your p your church is going to be the39:59same way. If you're super raw and real,40:02your church is going to be the same way40:04because you're the leader. They're going40:06to watch and see and they're going to40:07learn from what they watch and see.40:10Right? So I would say most pastors40:12aren't afraid to preach. They're afraid40:14to be seen. Right? Preaching is an easy40:17thing for pastors. Whip out the Bible.40:20You've been doing this. You could you40:21have very good articulation. Great. What40:24they are afraid is to be seen. Hey, this40:27is, you know, who I actually am. Very40:29few pastors will tell you they struggle40:31with lust. But I've seen it many, many40:34times. A girl will walk by about Lord40:36have mercy. I mean, Lord have mercy.40:39That's what I was praying, you know, or40:41they'll just like hug on specific40:44sisters extra, you know, extra extra40:46heavy, and I'm just like, what the heck,40:49dude? But it's because they know like,40:52dang, I I can't really be myself. Which40:55I also feel bad for pastors too because40:57it's also part of the congregation's40:59fault. Like I said, when you check box,41:01then the that they have to kind of act41:03and they can't really be themselves.41:05It's like any relationship. If a person41:07is abusive or a person is judgmental,41:09you're going to watch yourself around41:12that person because you're going to be41:14like, "That could trigger them or they41:15could they're going to be like what?"41:17and then fight you or you know belittle41:20you and and even to the point where41:22they'll emasculate you as a man. So a41:24lot of pastors are men. They struggle41:27with pride and ego. But men in general41:29even aside from the pride and ego41:31struggle with vulnerability. It's just41:33the truth. We we don't know how to be41:35vulnerable, right? We don't know how to41:36say, "Hey, I'm struggling with this and41:38I need help." Because also we're taught41:40along the lines somewhere in their life41:42a man doesn't struggle and if he does he41:45just takes it to God and it's between41:47him and God and nobody else needs to41:49know because that's weak if you don't if41:51you do anything outside of that right so41:54it is very difficult and um again41:57struggling is not a bad thing and41:59vulnerability is definitely not a bad42:01thing but what's bad about it is that42:04you then have to tell other people I42:06don't have the answers to everything42:08right. I'm struggling and I'm flawed too42:10and I don't know. A lot of pastors can't42:13say IDK I don't know. They they they're42:17they're seen as they know everything.42:19They're studied. They're discerned. So,42:21they better know this, right? But it's42:23kind of difficult. You know, if you if42:25you acknowledge the standard of God in42:28front of God, then you'll know that all42:30of us fell short. The standard of God is42:32Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23. For all have42:35sinned and come short of the glory of42:36God. That's why when we mess up, it's42:38like, okay, we mess up. Like, whatever.42:39Pastors in our church mess up all the42:41time. Pastors have ran away from church42:43and come back to church and we come back42:45like willy-nilly. Like, okay, yeah, I'm42:47I'm a pastor. I fell, but I repented and42:50came back. What's the big deal? Right?42:52But that's the when you realize that42:55brothers and sisters are on the same42:57level as pastors when it comes to the42:59sinful aspect, then judgment is kind of,43:03you know, it kind of gets pushed to the43:05side. But that's the hidden danger of43:07performativeism, of emotionalism, is43:10you're not you're now not judging with43:12the standard of God. You're now judging43:14based off of what you see, think, and43:16feel, which the church hasn't really43:18taught them to deny because the Bible43:20literally says, "Lean not on your own43:22understanding. Deny all of your43:23feelings. Deny your thoughts." Right?43:25Like your thoughts are not his thoughts.43:27Your ways are not. They don't teach43:28that. What they teach is what I feel and43:31what I think is from God. So when a43:33congregate member hears that, then43:35they're going to replicate that and they43:36go, "Well, I don't feel like you're43:38right of being a pastor." That came from43:41God and that's the Holy Spirit. So it's43:42telling me to like dethrone you. Now,43:44like I said, a performative pastor has43:47now created a performative church. A43:49checkboxing pastor is now creating43:51checkboxing congregation. And this is43:53where they literally almost like rugpool43:57themselves in a way, right? It's it's43:59kind of crazy. It's a vicious cycle. So44:01true. Like if I were to explain it in44:04Fortnite terms, it's like um drama44:06channels on YouTube. It's like they they44:08do drama so they garner an audience who44:10likes drama, but then the second the44:12drama's on them, they'll turn on you.44:14>> And it's because if you spend your time44:16judging other people like what like44:18drama channels do, you're going to44:20you're gaining an audience of people who44:22judge you right back. So it's just like44:24>> Yeah,44:24>> it's the same thing with a congregation.44:26>> Facts though, figies.44:28>> Did that help you understand? That44:30wasn't even Fortnite terms. Those are44:32just YouTube drama terms.44:33>> Sorry. Uh doom scroll terms for you.44:36>> Doom scrollies.44:37>> So then how do we find the right church?44:39>> Yeah. The one that's not performative44:41and the one that's not super emotional.44:43>> The one that is gospel centered.44:45>> 100%. Gospel centered is the thing. It's44:47the key. It's to go, hey, emotions are44:50have their place 100%. But it where is44:53the word in all of this? And do they44:55focus on intimacy? Right. And44:58restoration is a big thing. So, a church45:01that has people restored is a church45:05that's genuinely gospel- centered45:07because you have to restore people. A45:10lot of churches, they're too perfect.45:12They're too holier than thou. So, when45:13you mess up, they just remove you out45:15the congregation. It's similar to like45:16those cities out here that are more45:19affluent in LA where they will literally45:21just bust the homeless out of their45:23their like they just keep the area nice45:25and gentrified and remove the homeless45:27people, right? in in that way. A lot of45:30churches are this way. Oh, someone's45:31struggling. Get them out. Like that.45:33They they're going to make us look bad.45:35So, a congregation has to be a church45:38has to think about the congregation,45:40right? The church is like the45:41government. It's supposed to serve45:43people, but again, it's got corrupted45:45where now it's like the people serve the45:47government, right? In the same way, the45:50church is just like a government. It's a45:51body of people. They're there to serve.45:53That's why we're called servants in45:55servitude. They're there to steward,45:57lead people, and shepherd, but later it46:00becomes the congregate members have to46:02serve the pastor. It's like, no, that's46:03not how it works, right? Number one. So,46:05number two,46:07um if they're not for restoration and46:10reconciliation, then the only thing that46:12they'll have is they'll report you,46:14right? And what I mean by that is when46:15you see gossip in the church, especially46:18from church leaders, red flag, right?46:21Because a person has came to that person46:23with their vulnerability. They came to46:26that person with their, you know,46:28lackings and shortcomings and then now46:30this pastor is like talking about them46:32in front of everybody, not to restore46:35them, but to just gossip and go and poke46:37fun at them. If that's happened, which a46:39lot of us have, that's what leads to46:40church hurt. And this is not a a true46:43church of God. Because Jesus, when he46:46spoke about Judas, would just name the46:48facts. This guy will betray me, but I46:51still love you guys. Restoration. Hey,46:54Judas, you're going to betray me. I'm46:55even going to give you the bread and46:57you're going to be the one that betrays46:58me, but I hope you can repent from that.47:00Right? It's a it's a restoration thing47:02versus like, hey guys, look at this47:04stupid little Judas guy. He's literally47:06going to freaking kill himself. What an47:07idiot. Does he loves money? What a47:09dummy. Like, you see him? He's dumb.47:11This is different. He's not from God. He47:14doesn't have the Holy Spirit. Call him a47:15disciple. Jesus has never done that. He47:17was always like, "You're going to betray47:19me, but I still love you and I'm going47:22to die for you." And I hope you47:23understand that. Like this is47:24restoration versus reporting on47:27somebody, right? A lot of churches47:28report. Hey pastor, they're like goody47:30two shoes. Did you see that sister was47:32lusting and drinking? I'm reporting. I47:33want to report something. Right? It's47:35like we a church the right church will47:38never do something like that. And in47:40fact, the right church will will um kind47:42of chew you out for doing that. If you47:44come up to the pastor, you try to create47:46this type of, you know, divide, the47:48pastors will be like, "Hey,47:49respectfully, aren't you like that? My47:52church does that to me, right? Aren't47:53you like them, too? Oh, you're so good,47:55sister. What about you? Uh, and they sit47:58there and then they get checked right48:00away. So, a good church will preach the48:02gospel, obviously. It will tell you the48:04truth. It will be nurturing, but it'll48:06also correct you if you need to to be48:09corrected. It will chastise you and48:11rebuke you if you're doing something48:13wrong, but only to restore you. And it's48:16not going to really care about your48:17feelings to be honest. Like, cuz the48:18truth doesn't really care about48:20feelings. the truth, God, he's going to48:22speak about his standard. So, are they48:24living up to standard? And that's why I48:26tell people before you find a church,48:28study the Bible to know God's standard48:30or follow the unlearn wisdom podcast. We48:33know the standard of God here. Once you48:35watch these episodes, there's the48:37unlock, right? And kind of to what48:39Jeremy says, like you guys can church48:41hop, you guys can go to other churches,48:43but once you're able to kind of hear,48:45you can't hear, you can't unhear the48:47truth. It's kind of crazy. It's just it48:49it there's so many people who've left48:51churches because they've seen that they48:53were in the wrong church and are coming48:55to the to core of the heart which I48:57think also is why a lot of churches48:58don't like us too is like all of you49:01guys which you guys are crazy seriously49:03for doing this. You'll take my clip and49:05then it'll be super super deep49:07theologically and and exedically and49:10you'll send it to your pastors and then49:12they won't be able to do it because the49:15truth is they didn't study. That's the49:17God honest truth. But then they have to49:18vilify us because I mean that would then49:21mean that they're not studied. And it49:23goes back to the leadership role of dang49:25I'm not studied but I I can't let them49:27know that because then I'll lose my49:29congregation. I'll lose my validity when49:32it comes to a pastor and even my just49:36you know my salvation even. So they feel49:38threatened and then it's like look at49:40him he's prideful. when I'm just being49:42passionate, you know, they'll start49:43doing these types of things and spinning49:45narratives and it's really really sad.49:46Actually,49:47>> people who fear losing their salvation49:49are scary because they take things49:52seriously.49:53>> Hundo P. [laughter]49:54Yeah. But even even that at the core of49:57it is selfishness. Like you're only50:00doing it like it's similar to like if I50:02sit here and I preach the gospel to you50:04guys, but like it's just because I'm50:06scared to go to hell.50:08>> Right.50:08>> Right. It's it's foundationally. Yeah.50:10I'm I'm preaching the gospel outwardly50:12and surface level, but deep at the core50:15is I'm I'm running off of fear. Dang, if50:18[clears throat] I don't save enough50:19people, I promise God 100 million into50:22heaven. If I don't get that, I'm going50:23to hell. Okay, guys. Gospel Jesus. Like,50:25it's really still for self, which which50:28again at the end of the day is not what50:30God wants. You have to die to self, deny50:32self, but you're putting self at the50:34center and then kind of just masking it50:36with the gospel, which I've seen so many50:39times, too. It's crazy.50:40>> It's crazy. So, with that being said,50:43guys, I really hope that you can think50:45what I'm saying, kind of take it to50:47heart a little bit. I'm not saying that50:49your churches are wrong, that you should50:50be turning against them and arguing with50:52them and running away from them or just50:54shunning them, but really think about50:56the relationship with God. Are we50:58gospel- centered? Because it's very51:00important to be gospel- centered. The51:02relationship with God is going to come51:04through the gospel and through the word.51:05So, with that being said, wraps up this51:09segment of the podcast, but there's51:12more. We're actually going to go into51:14some pretty pretty deep questions about51:17sex, sin, and crime.51:21So, if you guys want to go deeper with51:23the Bible unlocks and just having these51:24biblical resources, guys, we created an51:26app called Core of the Heart Daily.51:28Every single morning, I write a personal51:30daily devotional. It's on the app51:57store called Core of the Heart Daily.51:58Link is in the description. Back to the52:00episode. Okay. The first question is52:03about sex before marriage.52:05>> Whoa.52:05>> The church told Jenn.52:06>> Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it.52:07Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it.52:08Don't do it. Don't do it. Virginity is52:10cool. Virginity is cool. Virginity is52:13cool. Virginity is cool. [laughter]52:15>> Get the Are you a virgin?52:17>> Yes.52:19>> Get the Virginity Rocks merch. Who was52:21that again?52:22>> That's Danny Duncan. That's right.52:24>> Danny Duncan.52:25>> Yeah.52:25>> Okay. Okay. So, the first question is52:26about sex before marriage. Okay.52:28>> Okay. The church told generations of52:30kids that premarital sex would ruin52:33them, but most of them had sex anyways,52:35and it turned out fine. Was the church52:38lying, or is fine just our standard? The52:41church is always right. You're all going52:42to hell for doing that. I'm just52:44kidding. I'm just kidding. Um, so church52:47isn't wrong about protecting the52:49covenant between man and woman. I agree52:51with that. I think there's a special52:53bond and I've mentored a lot of people52:54who literally are each other's first and52:58it's just it's something special. It's53:00something that you can take pride in.53:03It's very beautiful. But the reason why53:05people do it and then go, "Hey, it was53:07fine first and foremost is because53:10church is teaching rules and they're not53:12teaching relationship. They're they're53:13they're actually trying to scare you53:16from sinning, right? And it it only53:18works temporarily because fear tactics53:20are naturally just going to work until53:23you figure out this is nothing to be53:25afraid of and then you're going to53:26actually indulge. So I think where53:29churches mess up is that they have good53:31intention but the hard posture is they53:33don't use faith, they use fear. Right?53:35So they don't teach relationship. If you53:38sit there and you teach relationship53:39that, hey, what you're doing, although53:41maybe feels good to you, is going53:43against the person that you're supposed53:45to love, which is Jesus, who loved you53:46and sacrificed his life. Now, you'll53:49naturally not want to indulge in those53:51things because you're being taught53:52correctly and biblically and53:53spiritually. But the issue is people53:55don't know that. So, what they do is53:57churches specifically will try to53:59fearmonger you into things or place54:02legalism above you, which nobody likes.54:05Nobody likes to listen through fear and54:06nobody likes to listen through rules. If54:08anything, they'll break the rules. And54:11even Jeremy says, right, the first rule54:14and most important rule is don't follow54:15stupid rules, right? So in this way, as54:19funny as that is, we we do think like54:22that. Well, if this doesn't make sense54:24to me, I'm not going to follow it. I54:26have my own center line. Sure. But the54:28issue with that again is when you don't54:30teach relationship, you only teach right54:33like yourself. So they're trying to54:35teach, we're supposed to teach54:36relationship, they're teaching54:37censorship. They're teaching like54:39legalism. They're teaching, no, you got54:41to stop. Don't even look at that. No,54:43don't do that. And they don't give you54:44an explanation as to why. They don't54:46walk you through why that might hurt54:48God. And that's a big thing. They just54:51scare you and they shun you and they54:53just try to mosey over it, right? And it54:55makes sense because a lot of people54:57don't know how to validate that, right?55:01And it's also on the on the end of55:02people who sit there and kind of check55:05box. Uh it goes back to me teaching why55:07you shouldn't teach your congregation to55:09checkbox. Why you should teach them that55:11no matter what I try to explain55:13logically, I'm finite and God is55:16infinite. I can't understand everything55:18and I have to accept everything that he55:20says. I just have to know that although55:22this doesn't make sense to me, it is for55:24my protection. But people have made55:26especially church pastors, what I say55:29goes and this is my standard which then55:31bleeds into the congregation. Well, what55:32I think and feel goes is I have the Holy55:34Spirit, too. And that's my standard.55:36What's the difference between my Holy55:37Ghost and your Holy Ghost? I'm55:38perfected. You're perfected. What's the55:40issue? They start doing this. And now55:42they've put themselves almost in a55:44binder where it's just like, uh, I don't55:45really know what to do. Whatever. The55:47best thing to do is just cast them out.55:49Don't deal with them. get get the hell55:50out, you know? So, it's it's it's55:54the church wasn't lying, but how they're55:56going about it is not the right way,55:59right? Uh because yeah, people will then56:01lo logically go, I I was having sex. I56:04didn't burn in hell. I actually feels56:06great and I actually feel like I love56:07this person. What do you have to say56:09about it now? A checkbox. But that's56:11because pastors have not learned a real56:14relationship with God. They've learned a56:15checkboxing relationship they themselves56:17don't even know that they have. I pray56:19to you, you bless me. I tithe and I56:21serve, you bless me. If you don't,56:23transactional mindset comes and then56:25they get frustrated, right? So, in the56:27same way, we we have to learn it doesn't56:30it's not transactional. It it could56:33benefit me and still wholeheartedly hurt56:35God and go against everything that he56:37stands for. Marriage is sacred, right?56:41Having sex with somebody is genuinely56:43sacred. But people are like, "Nah, in my56:45opinion, in my belief, in my standard, I56:47don't think it is." is and it feels56:48great. So, I'm going to just do what I56:50got to do.56:50>> At the core of that is because they56:52don't know how to think about and have56:54the rel they don't even have a56:56relationship with God. To them, it's56:57just like, well, this is limiting. I56:59want to do what I want to do. So,57:01churches, if you want to stop people57:03from uh and I mentor a lot of churches,57:05too, but if you want to stop people from57:06sinning and doing those things, you have57:08to first teach relationship, you can't57:10teach them rules, right? Different Rs.57:12Because literally, you're if you teach57:14rules, then they're going to go, "But I57:16don't understand. like this doesn't57:18benefit me. Why do I have to follow57:19this? It's not hurting anybody. If she57:21consents and I consent, what's the57:22issue? But they're not thinking about57:24deeper than any any deeper than that.57:26And that's kind of on the congregation.57:28That's not the church's fault, right? So57:30that's why God allows them to then turn57:32around and checkbox them and go, "Hey, I57:34had sex and I'm fine. I had sex with57:36multiple women and I'm fine. You know,57:38I'm I'm protected. God still loves me. I57:40mean, God is love, right?" And they57:41start doing this to weave things to for57:44their benefit. But Christianity is not,57:47you know, we weave the scripture to our57:49feelings and our emotions and our57:51standard. Christianity is literally God57:53is so good that he gave up on his57:55standards, sent his only son to die for57:57us. Why wouldn't we want to follow him57:59and and and believe that he would58:01protect us and they don't teach that.58:03They don't teach that at all actually.58:05Yeah.58:05>> Okay. But so where does the whole no sex58:07before marriage thing even come from?58:09Because Paul never said the words sex58:11before marriage is a sin. So where are58:13we getting this rule? Well, he doesn't58:15say it black and white like that, but at58:18the same time, it also, you know, I58:21think it's too black and white when58:22people think that way. Uh, at the end of58:24the day, there's a there's a checkbox in58:26our heart to go, if the Bible says this,58:29then we do that. The Bible also doesn't58:30say don't drive like drive a car, right?58:32It's like, but you drive a car. Like, so58:35when people do this, we have to58:36understand the heart behind why they're58:38asking this question. It's because58:40they're they're trying to weave things58:42in a way that it works out for them,58:44which again goes back to the58:45relationship aspect of it's58:47transactional. If it doesn't, if it if58:50Christianity benefits me, I'll follow58:52it. And if it doesn't, I'm not going to58:54follow it.58:55>> There's like this and just playing58:58little fun devil's advocate. Your58:59favorite.58:59>> What else? So, but also like obviously59:02God put the ten commandments in front of59:03the people to show you can't follow it,59:05right? Isn't like don't commit adultery59:07>> one of them? Yes. So, isn't that59:08premarital sex?59:09>> Well, 100%. But, well, fornication,59:11right? When you look at the con Greek59:13word for fornication, cuz cuz in first59:16uh Corinthians chapter 7:3, Paul talks59:19about fornication. He says, "Don't do59:21fornication." So, that's actually sex59:23before marriage. And fornication, the59:25word for, take a wild guess what the59:27what the word for fornication is in59:29Coney Greek.59:31>> Clap.59:33>> Clapitis.59:35>> Buddhist. Chixabus. Cracktopus.59:36[laughter]59:38>> No, it's actually porna. Like that's59:40where we derive porn from.59:41>> Wow.59:42>> So it's it's an unlawful sex outside of59:46a covenant is what it means. Right. So59:48in Coney Greek, it's pretty cool. Like59:51Paul just hit it on the head. He's like59:53porn, lust, fornication outside of a59:57covenant, outside of marriage is all59:59considered sin. So yes, it doesn't say1:00:02sex before marriage is a sin in those1:00:04words, but with the word porna, it1:00:06knocks everything down. And so, but1:00:09again, God, Paul wasn't saying this to1:00:12limit people. He understands, right?1:00:14Paul wasn't saying this because he wants1:00:17to hurt people. It's for protection. Cuz1:00:19when you when you focus on sex, when you1:00:22focus on those things, it literally is1:00:24all about dopamine in a lot of ways,1:00:26right? Especially if you're doing1:00:27multiple partners. Now, I understand and1:00:29I and I truly believe if you're sitting1:00:31there and you're actively dating1:00:33somebody to to love on them and really1:00:35really give it a shot because you have1:00:37to do that. You can't just be like, "I'm1:00:39going to marry you." And you don't know1:00:40if this person is a psychopath or1:00:42unequally yolked, right? He's the same1:00:44guy who says, "Don't have sex, but make1:00:46sure somebody is equally yolked." Right?1:00:48He has parameters. It is it isn't just1:00:51limiting you. And he even says it's1:00:53better not to marry, which is crazy, but1:00:56if you can't handle it and you're by1:00:57yourself and you're lonely and1:00:58struggling, then marry somebody. Each1:01:00husband should find a wife. Each wife1:01:01should find a husband. So, he's very big1:01:04on heart posture. So, when why I1:01:07answered that way when Aaron asked the1:01:09question is because why is this person1:01:11saying that? Well, it doesn't say sex,1:01:13you know, before marriage is a sin1:01:15exactly in those words verbatim in the1:01:17Bible. What they're trying to say is1:01:19that they want to just have sex and they1:01:20don't want to follow the law and they1:01:22still want to call themselves a good1:01:23Christian. No, you can't be that because1:01:25even before you have the sex, your heart1:01:27is already I want it and I want to1:01:30accessorize God, which is a bad1:01:32Christian, right? So, in this way, like1:01:34we just have to see heart posture. Would1:01:36the heart posture be different if1:01:38somebody was like condemning themselves,1:01:41>> right? Like maybe they're like, "Oh my1:01:43gosh, I've had sex. I'm like, so1:01:45>> yeah,1:01:46>> I'm such a broken person.1:01:48>> Yes,1:01:48>> I need to repent. I'm going to be1:01:50celibate forever.1:01:52>> Yeah, I think um that that would be a1:01:55different answer,1:01:57>> right? Because Paul answers two1:01:59different ways. He'll say things like,1:02:00"I'm a chief sinner." And then on the1:02:02opposite end, he'll go, "I'm perfected1:02:04forever." Like, how can a sinner be1:02:06perfect? Right? So, it's because he has1:02:09different heart postures. And people1:02:11with different heart postures when they1:02:12read the Bible, the words come alive to1:02:14them. Even a legalistic person who we've1:02:17had in our discords and our1:02:19congregations,1:02:20they've read the Bible 20 plus times and1:02:22all they've ever seen was legalism.1:02:25They'll read 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 101:02:28and never see verse 11. They'll read1:02:30verse Romans 3:23 and never see verse1:02:3324. That frees them because their mind1:02:35and their heart is already legalistic.1:02:36They've given up to that, right? And so1:02:38in the same way, what what I was taught1:02:40and what the Bible teaches is when a1:02:42brother is down, lift him up. But when1:02:44the brother is up, break him bring him1:02:46down. So in the same stroke, if a person1:02:49is sitting there and they're going, I1:02:50want to sleep around and God loves me. I1:02:52don't care. Those people have to be1:02:53broken down. But if the person is being1:02:55condemned, right, then you have to have1:02:57discernment to go, I am all things to1:02:59all men. Hey, it's cool. I've I've I've1:03:01clapped some cheeks last week. I get it.1:03:04Right? And then like you're able to then1:03:06sit there and and and relate to people1:03:08because the whole sorry the main thing1:03:12is um1:03:15[laughter]1:03:16sorry I had to pause this. I was like1:03:19should I say this? I'm going to say it1:03:20cuz you know me guys now but when you1:03:23think about1:03:25restoration should be at the at the core1:03:27of everything. Reconciliation should be1:03:29at the core of everything. If somebody's1:03:32truly deeply remorseful and sorrowful,1:03:35um, you have to uplift them. The sad1:03:37thing about Judas was that he didn't1:03:40have to kill himself. If one of the1:03:42disciples was like, "Hey, bro, it's1:03:44cool. Peter just denied him three times.1:03:47God will come back in three days and1:03:48that's the reason why we have to follow1:03:50and just wait for him." I don't think1:03:51Judas would have killed himself. But1:03:53instead, who did he meet? Pharisees. And1:03:55what did the Pharisees say? What's that?1:03:57That's our problem. That's not our1:03:58problem. That's your problem. you see1:04:00through. You do it. You take care of it.1:04:02You messed up. You're the one who took1:04:03the money. Yeah, we gave you money, but1:04:05you didn't have to take it in this1:04:06energy. He hung himself. Whereas, if1:04:09somebody was there to build him up and1:04:11go, "Hey, Judas, it's okay." [snorts] I1:04:13want to kind of go off on a little bit1:04:15of a tangent for Judas because I think1:04:16it's such a good thing that I've never1:04:18really taught. I truly believe that1:04:20Judas could have done the work of Paul.1:04:23Now, Paul wrote twothirds of the New1:04:25Testament.1:04:27Judas could have done that because Judas1:04:29had everything to be able to have a bomb1:04:32testimony. And I'll explain. Imagine if1:04:35Judas didn't go the route that he hung1:04:37himself in Matthew 27. And he actually1:04:39sat there and was just like Paul. Paul1:04:41persecuted the church. Paul was the OG.1:04:44He was a shot caller of the Sanhedrin.1:04:46When people would come to stone people1:04:48like Stefan, they have to come to Paul1:04:50to go, "Can we stone him?" And he goes,1:04:52"Yeah, he would be that. He's that dude.1:04:54>> He's handing out the bricks. He's1:04:55handing out the bricks. Literally, he's1:04:57handing out the sentences. He's done1:04:59this. He's killed children. He's1:05:00orchestrated murders 100%. Bro was a1:05:03shot caller at the very core because he1:05:05thought he was a true Christian. He he1:05:08his his he led to Steph Stefan's demise,1:05:11right, in Acts chapter 7. Stefan is a on1:05:14the same level as Thomas and all of1:05:16them. He's a disciple. He was stoned to1:05:18death because of Saul, Paul at that1:05:20time. But one day on the road to1:05:22Damascus, God called him and was like,1:05:24"Hey,1:05:26you're uh why are you kicking against1:05:28the why do you persecute me?" And he's1:05:29like, "Who the hell are you?" I'm Jeezy.1:05:31Fell on his face, was blinded. We know1:05:33the story. Now, this was the worst man1:05:36who literally was killing people of1:05:39Jesus from Jesus. His people God then1:05:42flipped as a vessel to be my chosen1:05:44vessel to them work. Judas did even1:05:47worse than that. Judas was the guy who1:05:50said, "I don't believe in Jesus. I sold1:05:52him for money." Now imagine if he was1:05:54restored. He can go to any nation and1:05:57go, "Hey guys, I'm just like you. I1:05:59actually sold Jesus Christ." But even1:06:02then, he loved me so much. He did. He1:06:05would have had a bomb testimony. He1:06:07would have been studying. He would have1:06:08been growing. He would have been leading1:06:10the church. He would have did everything1:06:12Paul did and then some. But sadly, Satan1:06:16flipped his heart to go, you messed up,1:06:19you got to pay for it. And this is what1:06:20he does to everybody, right? And so that1:06:22in itself is a lesson where it's like,1:06:24you can mess up. If you fornicated and1:06:26you, since we're on that topic, and1:06:28you've sinned, that's not an issue to1:06:31God, but you have to return back to him.1:06:33You have to realize, hey, does this hurt1:06:36God? It does. Does my sins like mess1:06:38with him? Absolutely, because that's why1:06:40he sent his son. The whole point is to1:06:42turn repentance and go back to God and1:06:45go, "Hey, I trusted my thoughts again. I1:06:48shouldn't do that. I should follow you."1:06:49Are you going to mess up again? Are you1:06:51going to smoke again? Are you going to1:06:52drink again? Are you going to sin again?1:06:54Most likely. Are you going to clap some1:06:55cheeks again? Probably. Probably. Are1:06:58you going to not clap cheeks, but click1:07:00on no websites? Probably. But the1:07:03quicker you turn back to God and go,1:07:04"Man, I realize that this this is empty.1:07:07What I'm reaching for is emptiness. What1:07:08I should be reaching for is God and1:07:10Jesus. you start to actually grow in1:07:12that way. And again, if you're1:07:14struggling with those things, that's1:07:16proof that you're saved. Because I'll be1:07:18honest, I never struggled with that1:07:20before I got saved. I was like, "This is1:07:22amazing. I got to keep doing this."1:07:24Drugs, when they pass a plate around,1:07:26all that, I was doing it and I never1:07:27felt conviction. Never once, God is my1:07:30witness, was I like, I need to stop1:07:31doing this. I would actually get mad1:07:33when things would run out. I would get1:07:35mad when that that stuff stopped because1:07:37I was feeding off of that. Now, you1:07:40know, I'm like, "Ooh, I got to be1:07:41careful. I can't be doing stuff like1:07:42that." You know, like bounce with the1:07:44eyes. Oh my gosh, this isn't good. Can't1:07:45go to Columbia. Can't go to all these1:07:48places because the weather is bad.1:07:50[laughter]1:07:51>> I don't like bad weather.1:07:53>> There's there's a Johnny no fly zone, no1:07:56fly list. [laughter]1:07:57>> Um,1:07:58>> but yeah,1:07:59>> I think the biggest emphasis that I1:08:01walked away of what you said there was1:08:03you got to go to God, right? So cuz like1:08:05I was like having this thought myself1:08:07where it's like you know we don't live1:08:09by the grow up man I do this and he's1:08:12like1:08:12>> shake shin1:08:13>> shake shin [laughter]1:08:15>> why is it so uncool when he adds the1:08:17Chinese accent to it1:08:20>> it was uncool even when without the ch1:08:22with the English accent1:08:24>> one of the the big points you said at1:08:26the end there was um um1:08:29>> go to God about when you have those1:08:31things because I was going back and1:08:32forth because it's like we don't live by1:08:33the lie you like if you stumble and1:08:35fall, you come back to God. But it's1:08:37like even in the step of I don't have1:08:39the struggle with lust that I think a1:08:41lot of people have. I'm not I don't I1:08:44don't need to watch porn or need it. I1:08:46not having tons of uh uh premarital sex1:08:49or whatever. And and my thought is if a1:08:54[laughter] Yeah, I'm an incel. So what1:08:56he goes not having tons is if you're1:08:58having any. [laughter]1:09:01Well, okay. Okay. Anyways, I No, I'm1:09:03What is it when I'm a voluntary1:09:05celibate?1:09:06>> Incel.1:09:07>> No, no, no, no. Incel is involuntary.1:09:09Okay, maybe I'm both. Doesn't matter.1:09:11The point is the point is my original1:09:13thinking my original thinking was1:09:15>> if a girl came along and I and I had a1:09:18good relationship with her and we had1:09:19sex. No big deal. That's that's my1:09:21feeling. But maybe it's also like, okay,1:09:23now you're trying to twist the word.1:09:24That's when you're talking about that.1:09:25I'm like, yeah, am I loopholeing this or1:09:27whatever it is, but I don't live by1:09:29>> to get into a hole.1:09:31>> [laughter]1:09:32>> My point is the thing that you said on1:09:34the end is go to God. And it's like I've1:09:36never even really done that, right? I1:09:38don't cuz I I don't really have that1:09:39problem. I'm not like God, I'm like1:09:41watching porn and I fall into my lust1:09:43again. But I'm like, man, even that1:09:45thought though of like cuz I don't1:09:46really think about And I'm like, "Oh, if1:09:48even if the situation came along or I'm1:09:50having these thoughts, I've never even1:09:51personally went to God and say, "Hey,1:09:53God, I'm don't struggle with this like I1:09:55think I do and1:09:57>> I don't really have this conviction that1:09:59it's like the worst thing ever because I1:10:01know that we don't live by the law. Can1:10:03you clear that up for me in one way or1:10:05another?" I've never done that. So, like1:10:07it was interesting that you said that1:10:08cuz,1:10:08>> you know, I do sometimes maybe flirt1:10:11with a girl here and there and I don't1:10:12think anything of it because I'm like, I1:10:14think I can pump the brakes or whatever1:10:15it is, but I've never gone to God about1:10:18it. So,1:10:18>> yeah, you got to go to God about it,1:10:20buddy.1:10:20>> Yeah,1:10:22>> that's what I learned.1:10:23>> Thought I would share that.1:10:25>> Thank you.1:10:25>> Even though you guys make fun of me all1:10:27along the way, I It was like climbing up1:10:30a mountain and everyone's like throwing1:10:32trash and Yeah., you know, calling me.1:10:34>> Pump the brakes. Don't pump the lotion.1:10:36Yeah.1:10:36>> Yeah.1:10:36>> I don't think you've been tested.1:10:38>> Yeah.1:10:39>> Sorry, just kidding. [laughter]1:10:41>> Um1:10:41>> I think you need to get tested an STD1:10:44test.1:10:47>> You're just crawling with you're1:10:48>> Oh my god. Crawling.1:10:50>> Yeah. Yeah. You're You're patient.1:10:51You're patient zero.1:10:52>> Crawling.1:10:53>> Oh, dude. I'm just naturally itchy.1:10:55[laughter]1:10:57>> He's just like a You're just like a1:10:59You're just like a petri dish.1:11:00[laughter]1:11:01>> No. Wouldn't you like when you when you1:11:04like look at like bread and it's molded1:11:06for too long and it's like1:11:08>> These are all jokes. These are all1:11:09jokes.1:11:10>> Crazy.1:11:11>> Prove it.1:11:12>> All right, moving on to the next1:11:14question. You guys ready? The next1:11:15question is about the seven deadly sins.1:11:18>> Not biblical. [laughter]1:11:19>> Really?1:11:20>> The question's already out the window.1:11:22>> Yeah. So, so1:11:23>> wait, wait, read the question and then1:11:25and then do [laughter]1:11:26>> I wanted to answer it before I read the1:11:27question.1:11:28>> All right. All right. All right. All1:11:29right. Walk me through the seven deadly1:11:31sins and tell me honestly which ones1:11:33have you committed?1:11:34>> So the seven deadly sins is more of like1:11:36a church father kind of like old. I1:11:39think it came in the sixth century. It's1:11:41not in the Bible. It1:11:42>> it's okay. So it's not as a list in the1:11:44Bible. It is listed in the Bible but1:11:47it's not here are the seven deadly sins.1:11:49Stay away. Right? These are moral sins.1:11:52These are uh sins that are are really1:11:55bad. But it comes more from sixth1:11:58century teaching of like church fathers,1:12:00certain popes, um certain bishops,1:12:02things like that. So [clears throat]1:12:04it's not it's in the Bible, yes, but not1:12:07in the way that we think, oh, it's1:12:09listed here in, you know, 1 Samuel, all1:12:12seven or in Leviticus, all seven. No,1:12:14that's not what it is. It's all over1:12:15Ephesians, Galatians, it's in Old1:12:17Testament, New Testament, parts of1:12:19Leviticus. Absolutely. So the seven1:12:22deadly sins are pride, greed, lust,1:12:26envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Like1:12:28laziness.1:12:29>> And have I committed all of these?1:12:32Absolutely. I think the one I struggle1:12:34with the most is gluttony.1:12:36>> I was about to say that for you.1:12:39>> I love to eat. It's so good.1:12:41>> Two entree in Europe. It was1:12:43>> three entre.1:12:44>> Two to three entre per meal.1:12:46>> Per meal. That means that means if even1:12:48>> Hey, how about you focus more on eating1:12:50instead of not looking at other people1:12:52eating.1:12:52>> Even if he even if he skipped a meal, he1:12:54still had [laughter] double in two1:12:56meals, he had double the normal meals of1:12:58a normal person.1:12:59>> So what? [laughter]1:13:02>> He just dude I was like I was just what?1:13:07>> Yeah. But no, I've I've committed all of1:13:09those. Absolutely. Pride. Come on now.1:13:11I've struggled with greed.1:13:12>> Agreed.1:13:13>> 100% greed. Lust.1:13:15>> So true. Hund,1:13:17>> yes,1:13:18>> was a dog. Um, envy, of course. What I I1:13:22silently hate on people. 100%.1:13:24>> Gluttony.1:13:25>> Yes. As Jeremy [clears throat] just1:13:28>> to this day.1:13:29>> To this day, I struggle.1:13:30>> Chain. That one's chained to him.1:13:31[laughter]1:13:31>> I'm so glad I stay skinny, though.1:13:33>> I know you're lucky.1:13:34>> Hey, just wait for that metabolism to1:13:36slow down.1:13:36>> No, it's not the metabolism. I work out1:13:38and it's the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit1:13:40helps me with the gluttony. Um, Wrath,1:13:43come on now. Being a gang member, I was1:13:45like, I'm not like, "Oopsy, I did a1:13:47poopsie." I was freaking angry as hell,1:13:49dude.1:13:49>> Even now,1:13:50>> sloth laziness, 100%. I just look at the1:13:54phone like, "I'd do that later."1:13:57[laughter]1:13:59>> Yeah.1:14:00>> So, have we all struggled with it? All1:14:02of you guys have 100%. Right. So, yeah.1:14:06Um,1:14:06>> if sloth gets you into hell, I am1:14:09cooked. [laughter]1:14:11>> Dude, I think you've improved a lot.1:14:13100%.1:14:14>> Oh no.1:14:16>> Aaron word went crazy, bro. Aaron word1:14:18leveled up so much. Like dummy.1:14:20>> Two years ago. Aaron today. Different1:14:22person.1:14:23>> Aaron. Yes.1:14:25>> Yeah.1:14:26>> Aaron would get mad and you could like1:14:29he would have to voice his opinion. I1:14:31see Aaron so patient nowadays. It's kind1:14:34of wild.1:14:35>> Wow.1:14:35>> And he'll call me too like am I tripping1:14:37about this or not? Before he's like1:14:39there, I'm just going to trip. Like I1:14:41don't care. But it's because I think1:14:42you'll be holding things in, Aaron.1:14:44Until it gets to the point where you're1:14:46like, I'm done. Boom. Just like, oh1:14:50snap.1:14:50>> You got to pick and choose your battles.1:14:52What is it? Honesty without1:14:55>> love is1:14:56>> abuse.1:14:56>> Abuse.1:14:57>> That's why I'm a warrior. I go into1:14:59every battle.1:15:00>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.1:15:02>> You pick and choose. I'm there in the1:15:04front lines. [laughter]1:15:06>> Bro's a green beret Navy Seal when it1:15:10comes to that. Jeez.1:15:11>> I spare everyone their obliteration.1:15:14>> Yeah.1:15:14>> But when people ask, get ready.1:15:16>> Oh, yeah. For sure. [laughter]1:15:17For sure.1:15:19>> Who's asking? Who's ever like, "Yo, like1:15:21I'm just thinking of an example this1:15:23weekend where I was really quiet about a1:15:24lot of stuff, but then we were in the1:15:26hotel room and Devin asked me something1:15:27and I popped off." And that's something1:15:29I would have never done without being1:15:30prompted to, but I'm like, "Both, you1:15:32really want to know my [laughter]1:15:33thoughts?"1:15:33>> Yeah.1:15:34>> Here they are.1:15:35>> True. True.1:15:38>> Just shooting. When I think about it,1:15:40it's like we everyone struggles with all1:15:42seven. There's no1:15:44>> I would just say it's like different1:15:45like percentages and degrees. Sure.1:15:47>> Well, so I have one follow-up question1:15:48that's kind of interesting and I'm going1:15:50to rephrase it a little bit, but which1:15:52it it says which sin has made you the1:15:54most money, which is an interesting1:15:56question and I want to rephrase it to1:15:57like which sin do you think has actually1:15:59like benefited you in life if1:16:02>> Oh,1:16:04to be honest, okay, I'll make an1:16:08argument for which sin, but I'll say all1:16:09sins,1:16:11>> if I'm being honest, benefit you some1:16:13kind of way, fleshly, otherwise people1:16:15wouldn't struggle with doing M1:16:17>> right. So they all benefit. Um but the1:16:20one that personally for me was greed.1:16:23>> True.1:16:24>> Greed.1:16:25Ever since I was a kid, I was greedy,1:16:27man. Ever since I was a jit, I was1:16:30[laughter]1:16:32>> Ever since I was a kid, I was a jit.1:16:34[laughter]1:16:35>> But I I I think greed was the one that1:16:39made me very hustle hustler mentality.1:16:42Um I would do anything for it, too. That1:16:44that's the bad thing about me, man. I1:16:46would rob people, but I would like plot.1:16:49I would befriend them. I would do little1:16:53business deals with them to to like1:16:55throw them crumbs so that they can get1:16:57so I can get bigger things. Like, it was1:16:59just bad. Especially with drug deals. I1:17:02would I I was I was a jack boy. So, I1:17:04would be like, "Oh, yeah. I'll act I'll1:17:06talk up a nice game. Yeah, I want to buy1:17:08100 peas, whatever. Whatever. I want to1:17:09buy this many brickies, whatever." And I1:17:12would wait till they show me the stash1:17:14and then I would lick them. Like me and1:17:16a crew and a group of fools would just1:17:18do it and we break the bread.1:17:20[clears throat] And um yeah, I was I was1:17:23just bad. I think my greed led me to uh1:17:26monetize everything and transactionalize1:17:29everyone too. I just looked at somebody1:17:31like a meal ticket. All right, they1:17:33could make money for me. Boom. you know,1:17:35and um coming to Christ, I had to learn1:17:38how to not look at people for just1:17:40dollar signs,1:17:41>> but look at people that this is1:17:43somebody's child, this is somebody's1:17:45wife, somebody's daughter, somebody's,1:17:47you know, grandson, kid, father, what,1:17:50uncle, whatever. And so it it made me1:17:53kind of think, but before, yeah, I would1:17:55I was nasty with it. Like I think when1:17:57it came to any type of greed, I would1:18:00manipulate1:18:02to the core to the core. Like I do my1:18:06family dirty type of stuff because I1:18:08just never had money like that and I1:18:10thought that it was just something that1:18:11I needed in life. But thankfully I was1:18:14able to grow from that extreme to go1:18:17money is honestly not going to be the1:18:19root of any happiness. Like we have1:18:20money now and it still just feels the1:18:22same. I feel so happy like when I do1:18:24Europe trips because you see all these1:18:26people showing up you it it fills you1:18:28more spiritually than it than filling1:18:30your pocket does. Genuinely. Genuinely.1:18:32Right. So, yeah.1:18:35>> What about No, before we get into that,1:18:36when he was saying that he would1:18:38literally set people up, you know, like1:18:40and like1:18:41>> I was thinking about the Lego1:18:42documentary1:18:44>> and how they tricked the girl.1:18:46>> Remember the employee, the store1:18:48employee? I was like, uh, so basically1:18:50this it's the biggest internet news1:18:52story right now. There's this guy in1:18:55Oregon who sold his his family's Lego1:18:57collection of these rare Star Wars Legos1:18:59is the largest Star Wars Legos1:19:01collection in the United States or1:19:03something. Sold it to this store on1:19:04consignment being like, "We still own1:19:06it, but you guys sell it for us." The1:19:08store finessed them and took it. And so1:19:10this YouTuber went on this crazy1:19:13documentary investigation, and it's1:19:14become nationwide news. This company's1:19:17collapsing over it because they tried to1:19:19rob this old guy over $60,000 worth of1:19:21Legos.1:19:22>> That's it.1:19:23>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. And this and1:19:24this company's valued at nine figures.1:19:27What the hell is wrong with these?1:19:29That's greed. It's greed. It's pure1:19:31greed. And it's but the it's the cra for1:19:34a YouTuber to piece. This is two or1:19:36three years of his work, of his life1:19:38that he's put into this creating this.1:19:40>> Get a job. [laughter]1:19:42>> It's blowing up. Every internet lawyer1:19:45is making videos of it. It's crazy. It's1:19:47crazy. It's It's super entertaining.1:19:49>> But dang,1:19:50>> one of the things they do is they're1:19:52trying [laughter]1:19:54>> they basically like take they're trying1:19:56to get the phone number of the owner of1:19:58this company to confront the owner and1:20:00be like, "Yo, give back the Legos."1:20:01Yeah.1:20:02>> None of the main employee managers at1:20:04the stores that know what they're trying1:20:05to do is like giving him the1:20:06information.1:20:08>> So, [snorts and laughter]1:20:09this guy is genius. He goes like beyond1:20:11whatever he he the end like just watch1:20:14the documentary. He's so creative and he1:20:17does everything legally by the law.1:20:19>> But he basically um he was like1:20:22previously in his other videos he's1:20:24investigated cults and he's watched how1:20:26cults get people to give up information1:20:28or how they get people to buy in. So he1:20:30takes those tactics and he does it to1:20:32one of the [laughter] he does it to one1:20:34of the employees.1:20:35>> He uses it for the good basically.1:20:37>> Yeah. But literally gets the phone1:20:38number of the CEO. But it's like the1:20:40most hilar. like he's explaining his1:20:42plan and then they film how they do it1:20:45to this girl and she just like1:20:47>> I was just like it's the [laughter]1:20:49craziest thing ever just to get a phone1:20:51number of1:20:51>> shout out to him that's fire dude that's1:20:53gangster anyways back to the topic what1:20:55would you say for yourself was the your1:20:58yourself your1:20:59>> wait what were the sins again1:21:01>> uh so they were pride lust envy sloth1:21:05gluttony wrath and greed1:21:08>> greed1:21:09>> pride for sure pride1:21:12has done a lot for me and also has done1:21:15a lot wrong for me, but it has1:21:16definitely done a lot for if if there1:21:18was one sin that benefited me most, it1:21:20was certainly pride.1:21:21>> Dang.1:21:22>> Um,1:21:23>> made you like1:21:24>> explain, buddy.1:21:24>> It makes sense. I I get it. Go ahead.1:21:26>> Yeah. I don't even fully know how to1:21:28explain, but just like I just felt like1:21:30back when I like when the world says1:21:32trust your thoughts, follow your dreams,1:21:34follow your hopes, like my pride took me1:21:36super far. like I stood on it, lived by1:21:38it, had a lot of like confidence because1:21:40of it. Like I was just proud of1:21:42>> everything I had, my family, my what I1:21:45was building, and I was able to just1:21:46like keep it pushing because of all1:21:48that.1:21:48>> And I can see how it's a sin, but it was1:21:51definitely to my benefit. And like1:21:54another one along the same lines is like1:21:55lying. It's not a sin, but I used to1:21:58like lie my face off as a kid like to my1:22:00mom whether it was about sneaking out or1:22:02who I'm who I'm with or whatever it was1:22:04like or even just about school or just1:22:06different things in my life or even1:22:07through business like to just get1:22:08certain opportunities. I would just lie1:22:11back in the day about like and and it1:22:13wouldn't even come like premeditated. It1:22:14would just be like, "Oh, do I see an1:22:15opportunity? Let me just do whatever it1:22:17takes to accomplish it."1:22:18>> That's crazy.1:22:19>> And um it was bad. I feel like the seven1:22:23deadly sins like sins that you benefit1:22:25them is just like running on dirty fuel1:22:27though. Like eventually it's going to1:22:29it's going to have some adverse effect.1:22:31There's always1:22:33>> if you have to lie to get something you1:22:35never truly had it in the first place.1:22:38>> Um for me it's it's tough because like1:22:41it wasn't necessarily pride for me that1:22:43like was my fuel. It was like fear in a1:22:46lot of ways. But I don't know if fear is1:22:48like a seven deadly sin. It was more of1:22:50like1:22:50>> we debunked that though. Remember the1:22:52fear ties into pride in a lot of ways?1:22:55>> Yeah.1:22:55>> What are you afraid of? Not being1:22:57exalted, not proving to yourself that1:22:59you're really yourself.1:23:01>> Yeah, something like that.1:23:02>> The last and closing question is about1:23:04crime.1:23:05>> Okay.1:23:07>> Johnny Chang, can you rank the crimes1:23:09you committed by how much they taught1:23:11you?1:23:12>> What's number one? [laughter]1:23:13>> Yo, the feds wrote this question.1:23:17I was going to say [laughter]1:23:20>> kind of sounds like getting Vlad TV1:23:23right now.1:23:24>> Johnny Johnny Chang, first and last1:23:26name. Now right into the mic.1:23:28>> Rank the crimes you've committed.1:23:30>> You're on my social, too. [laughter]1:23:32[gasps]1:23:33>> Rank the crimes, locations, date, and1:23:35time. [laughter]1:23:36>> His face as you're reading it was this.1:23:39He was like, he literally started making1:23:40that. He was like, [laughter]1:23:42>> "Okay, all right. Let me rephrase the1:23:44question." Okay.1:23:44>> Yeah. Johnny [clears throat] Chang, rank1:23:47the crimes that you allegedly committed1:23:49by how much they taught you. What's1:23:51number one and why and why is it the one1:23:54you're most ashamed of? Robbery. Robbing1:23:57somebody.1:23:59So, it always starts off small. Uh you1:24:02first do like 211s, like 459s, like1:24:06these are penal codes for like uh strong1:24:10armed robbery or like thieving, like you1:24:13know, breaking and entering B&E. So you1:24:15go in, you you you wait till you kind of1:24:18survey people, they leave the house, you1:24:20jump in, you steal their stuff. It1:24:22starts like that, but then it goes to1:24:23like strongarming people where it's like1:24:26you're literally no face or masked up1:24:29and you walk up to these people. Um why1:24:31I'm so ashamed of that number one is1:24:34because I know how hard people work. Uh1:24:37especially back then too when it was1:24:40just more difficult, right? The social1:24:41media thing wasn't going up. A lot of1:24:43people weren't really having money like1:24:44that. People were working 9 to5s and1:24:46imagine they're [sighs] taking their1:24:49whole week, two weeks to work and you're1:24:52just over here just licking them for1:24:54everything. Um, but why [clears throat]1:24:56I'm most ashamed of that is also because1:24:58I would study people1:25:00meticulously. You guys both know I'm1:25:03very good at catching what people are1:25:06doing, how they walk, little mannerisms.1:25:08Like I used all of that to my benefit.1:25:13all of that. So I and and many times it1:25:17was an adrenaline rush for me selfishly1:25:19to see how can I do it and I would up1:25:22the Annie. What I really like to do1:25:24wasn't just like to rob civilians cuz1:25:26they didn't have money. I like to rob1:25:28drug dealers. I like to rob people who1:25:31had money cuz I could tell right away if1:25:33somebody was about that life or not. And1:25:36I would go to the people who weren't1:25:38about that life but just would flex.1:25:40would have a chain, would have a rolly,1:25:4250k rolly. Oh yeah, that's mine. And so1:25:45I would feel this um1:25:49why I feel ashamed about it is because1:25:52you're supposed to feel like shameful,1:25:53but I would feel prideful and I would1:25:56flex it like, "Yeah, I robbed this1:25:57fool." And they're like, "What? For1:25:59real? No way." So it was more for1:26:02[snorts] obviously my benefit, but in1:26:04ways that it would give me social status1:26:07uh in the gang. It would I would make1:26:10sure that they knew who I was. At one1:26:13point I was kind of green lit by a lot1:26:15of gangs because I would rob1:26:18uh drug houses. I would rob trap houses.1:26:21I would rob um distros.1:26:24And so they just knew like, man, this1:26:27they'd catch me on camera, you know what1:26:28I mean, doing these things.1:26:30>> Would you never be scared of getting1:26:31shot?1:26:31>> No, because I was just, like I said, I1:26:33was just like that. I was like, man,1:26:35it's an adrenaline thing. It's like,1:26:37man, these foods ain't going to do it to1:26:38me. Even though I've been shot before, I1:26:40just knew like my gang was, and I'm I'm1:26:43just saying this purely off of truth. My1:26:45gang was a the strongest gang in the in1:26:47the neighborhood. We went against1:26:49everybody. Like when when when blacks or1:26:52Mexicans would, you know, try to rob1:26:54certain growhouses and stuff like that1:26:57when they came to us, we would literally1:26:59like we would kill them, right? We1:27:00wouldn't just lay down and like we were1:27:02the only hood that would do stuff like1:27:04this. And it's because we were very1:27:06powerful in that way. And so there was a1:27:08sense of pride in doing what I did. So1:27:11there wasn't any shame. And I think1:27:13that's what I'm ashamed of. It's like,1:27:15dang, bro. You don't even feel bad. Like1:27:18what the hell is wrong with you as a1:27:20human being? And now obviously because1:27:22I've stopped all of those things.1:27:25I've I've, you know, changed my life.1:27:27I've transformed. I'm now able to kind1:27:29of look back and be like, sheesh, dude.1:27:31I was genuinely a monster in a lot of1:27:33ways. And I did it just for the thrill.1:27:35Like there's times where this is, mind1:27:37you, during times I was making 40 50k. I1:27:40didn't have to do that, but I wanted to1:27:43because it gave me that edge of like1:27:46dang like bro's rich and he's still1:27:48doing that stuff. My homies would fear1:27:50me kind of in a way and and I thought1:27:52that that was respect. Little did I know1:27:55it wasn't. So the fact that I was so1:27:58manipulative, so kind of down for the1:28:02cause, but all of it was because I was1:28:04at the center of it showed me truly how1:28:06egotistical I was as a human being. And1:28:09I was proud. I was proud of being 101:28:12toes and you can't say nothing about me1:28:15and if you, you know, people don't want1:28:16to do business with me. And I would only1:28:18have a select few people that I wouldn't1:28:20rob because they would actually benefit1:28:24me. if you didn't benefit me, I don't1:28:26care what hoods you're from. I started1:28:28wars because of that. Didn't care cuz I1:28:30knew like we're stronger than you. We're1:28:32more militant than you. We will play1:28:34house, meaning we'll get your family1:28:36involved and you're going to lose. And1:28:38so when I felt like that, I I felt very1:28:42powerful. But now that I think about it,1:28:44it was very very shameful. Like I get1:28:47why people don't like me straight up,1:28:50you know? I get why people are like,1:28:51"He's a fraud, bro. was over here1:28:53talking about Christianity if they knew1:28:54what he did. Like I get it. I h1:28:57thousand% get it. And and it's just a1:28:59very shameful thing genuinely. But it's1:29:01like a godly remorse, right? It's not1:29:03like I'm condemned by it. It's more of1:29:04just like sheesh, dude. God, thank you.1:29:08If you didn't save me, I think um I1:29:11think something would have happened to1:29:12me cuz there's always someone bigger and1:29:14better than you. There's always somebody1:29:15more cunning than you, more1:29:16manipulative. Everybody has a ticket and1:29:18everybody every dog has his day1:29:20basically. And I know I know that people1:29:22wanted to get me for sure. And these are1:29:24real certified people who can get me. So1:29:26I I know that you know1:29:29>> every dog has its day.1:29:32>> Guys, our live events are getting super1:29:34packed. We genuinely need some help. So1:29:36we're looking for a live events1:29:38producer. So I'm going to be completely1:29:40honest about this. There's a lot of1:29:42moving pieces from booking a church,1:29:44finding the vendors, scanning in the1:29:45people, the volunteers, the merch. Like1:29:47there's so many moving pieces that I'm1:29:49just going to say right now, we're1:29:50looking for a professional. We're1:29:52looking for someone who has done this1:29:53before. If you're watching and you're1:29:54like, "Oh, I think I can help their live1:29:55events." Honestly, you're probably not1:29:57the pick. But if you're watching and1:29:58you're saying, "Oh, I've done this1:29:59before. I've thrown live events. I've1:30:01even maybe worked in a church space."1:30:02Please reach out. We're looking for a1:30:04killer, someone who can really1:30:05coordinate everything. It's a ton of1:30:07moving pieces. At the end of the day,1:30:08it's nothing too hard or complicated,1:30:10but it's a lot of details, a lot of1:30:11moving pieces. And for us to be doing1:30:13this every single month, once a month or1:30:15even more, it's almost impossible1:30:16because we each run different branches1:30:18of the business. So for us to do these1:30:19ourselves, it's becoming unscalable. So1:30:21if you think, you know, you know, I can1:30:23come in, take this over, I'll learn from1:30:25them, we'll teach you everything and you1:30:27think, I can take the information and go1:30:29throw them live events every single1:30:30month in a different city for the rest1:30:32of the next 10 years. If you're hearing1:30:34this and you think that's you, please1:30:35reach out. We pay super competitively.1:30:37We have honestly a really good pay for1:30:39you guys cuz we really want to do this.1:30:40Live events are super important to1:30:42Johnny and all of us and all of you1:30:43guys. So, we want to keep doing them. We1:30:45want to keep making them super amazing.1:30:47And that's why honestly, we're looking1:30:48for a killer. Like, it we're not really1:30:50gonna hire anyone to test them out or1:30:52try to train. We're looking for someone1:30:53who has done this before and is ready to1:30:55do it for us. And we're going to pay you1:30:57very handsomely for it. So, please reach1:30:59out. The best way to do it, there's a1:31:00link in the description. There's a job1:31:01application that details everything and1:31:03the pay. So, please fill it out. Please1:31:05pay attention to the instructions.1:31:07There's a lot of instructions that if1:31:08you don't pay attention to them, we're1:31:10not even going to look at your1:31:11application. So, cutting to the chase,1:31:13we're looking for a live events killer.1:31:14If you are that person or if you know1:31:16that person, if someone at your church1:31:18maybe throws the events, if you want to1:31:19recommend it to a friend or a family1:31:21member, we want an awesome beast live1:31:23events producer. So, please do not be1:32:08offended if we don't pick you. Just1:32:09understand we have a lot of input and we1:32:12are very specific on what we need. And also for anyone1:32:25else still listening, if you want to1:32:26come to these awesome live events, text1:32:28in after to 323-61335771:32:33for free live events in a city near you1:32:35>> or download Core of the Heart daily.1:32:36>> I genuinely want to thank you guys for1:32:39tuning in and just supporting Core of1:32:41the Heart. Without you guys, we1:32:43obviously we wouldn't be able to go1:32:45global. And so we are looking for that1:32:48that perfect piece, right, to uh take us1:32:51global and help us with the live events.1:32:52So, if that's you, we really do1:32:54appreciate you guys for for applying and1:32:57um hope to work with you guys soon.1:32:59>> Okay, so you guys want to wrap it up and1:33:00talk a little bit about Europe.1:33:02>> Oh, Europa,1:33:07[laughter]1:33:08do the please.1:33:10>> Yo, I'm not some kind of What? What do I1:33:11look like to you?1:33:12>> I'm a circus circus animal. You freaking1:33:15tell me to go there, take a photo, I1:33:17take a photo, stand right here. I'm1:33:18like,1:33:19>> "No, don't smile. Look away. Mog the1:33:21camera."1:33:22Not too much. Too much. Too much. Don't1:33:24cover your face. Show the tattoo.1:33:25>> Somebody at the shoot. You're like, "Act1:33:26like you're listening." And you get1:33:28millions of views from those beautiful1:33:30[laughter] photos.1:33:31>> You're like, "Act like you're1:33:32listening." And I'm like, "This1:33:34>> I am listening."1:33:36>> Yeah, dog. Um, anyways, first of all,1:33:39flight absolute garbage. But me and1:33:41Eric, [laughter] the flight there was1:33:43garbage.1:33:44>> It was so brutal. But like I I sle it's1:33:47a it's a 10-hour flight. We went from LA1:33:49to London, then London to Sweden. But1:33:51that 10-hour flight, that first leg, by1:33:53the way, I went to Korea, came back, was1:33:55here for a week,1:33:57>> not adjusted at all. My brain was1:33:59completely like frazzled. Get back on1:34:01the plane. I slept one maybe two hours1:34:04on that first leg. I could not1:34:06>> It was longer than 10 hours, too. It was1:34:07like 11 and a half.1:34:08>> Prolevel tip though, seat cushions.1:34:11>> Yeah. So, I left my seat cushion on that1:34:14first flight. [laughter] So, I was1:34:15dreading the way home, but Johnny saved1:34:19my life.1:34:20>> Yeah. But no, I had1:34:21>> You got to sit on his lap on the way1:34:22back.1:34:25>> What? What? How did he save your life?1:34:28>> You know how they give you uh um1:34:30pillows?1:34:30>> Yeah,1:34:31>> I use that as a seat cushion.1:34:33>> It actually works. It actually works1:34:35better than freaking just It literally1:34:37feels like pins and needles after a1:34:39while. You're like, "Ah, [gasps]1:34:41my god." literally1:34:43>> just crashed the plane. [laughter]1:34:46>> Sorry. Sorry. It's very extreme in the1:34:49mind of Johnny J. But no, genuinely1:34:51though, [laughter]1:34:53but genuinely, it it was it was1:34:56garbage. Doodoo garbage. Hot garbage.1:35:00Like flying. It was horrible. And And1:35:02mind you, I had it was bad for them. I1:35:04know. Because it was bad for me. And I1:35:06had premium economy.1:35:07>> Yeah. Slightly more room.1:35:09>> Slightly more room. But still, it was1:35:10just bad because even when people would1:35:11fold back, you're just like, you're1:35:13looking at the screen like this, right?1:35:15But it just made it just motivated me to1:35:18go PJ, baby. [laughter] PJ.1:35:21>> So, we'd like you to donate the to1:35:23listen to this podcast is now going to1:35:24cost money. $500 a month. [laughter]1:35:28>> Okay. So, when we landed though, how was1:35:30the trip?1:35:32>> It was great. We were greeted. Really?1:35:34Shout out Victory Outreach. They were1:35:35really, really amazing, right? They1:35:37picked us up. Um, it made us walk like1:35:4017 blocks, but you know, [laughter] it's1:35:43okay.1:35:43>> No, I'm just kidding. Shout out to the1:35:44people who um, you know, picked us up1:35:47and they they kind of rolled out the red1:35:48carpet for us genuinely. Gave us snacks,1:35:51gave us food, took us to eat, took us1:35:52around the the1:35:53>> the uh the whole cities and just the1:35:56landmarks. It was it was beautiful.1:35:58>> Let's wait. Let's start with Sweden,1:36:00though.1:36:00>> Yeah. So Sweden1:36:03when we touched down I will say top1:36:06three most beautiful cities in the world1:36:09like1:36:09>> number one for me1:36:10>> for wow there you go Jerome was loving1:36:13it facts1:36:14>> this is Stockholm by the way1:36:15>> Stockholm sweet beautiful it's such a1:36:18nice mixture of like new architecture1:36:20with old architecture cobblestone roads1:36:24it literally was like a scene out of the1:36:25out of a movie felt like we were in1:36:27Harry Potter1:36:28>> literally1:36:29>> I love how the sun was up 20 hours a1:36:31day.1:36:31>> Yeah.1:36:31>> Like the sunset was at midnight. It was1:36:34crazy.1:36:35>> The sun would not go It would go down1:36:38right behind the line and be like, "I'm1:36:39waiting right here to come back up."1:36:40Like, it literally [laughter] would not1:36:42go all the way down. It was just like,1:36:43"Hey, I'm going to supplies, right?1:36:45Literally just pop up."1:36:47>> But it was crazy. And and um the rooming1:36:50situation wasn't that good. I'll be1:36:51honest. I love Jeremy, but my goodness,1:36:53they gave us like two twin beds and and1:36:56like the first No, for Sweden, we had1:36:58one bed. Sweden was one bed. [laughter]1:37:00>> We get to the We get to the front desk1:37:02and we check in and uh I was like,1:37:05someone just said it. They're like, "I1:37:06think you're sharing a bed." I was like,1:37:07"What do you mean?" I'm like, "Just a1:37:08double like a double bed in a room."1:37:10It's like, "Hey, is it a double bed in a1:37:12room?" They're like, "Vat capacity?" Uh1:37:16and they're just like, "Uh, we only have1:37:18beds [snorts]1:37:19uh you know, a single bed." So,1:37:21>> dude, at least you guys had a king. Two1:37:23people on a king. You could be on a king1:37:25without noticing each other. Devon and I1:37:27walked into our room. It was a full It1:37:29wasn't even a queen. It was a fulls size1:37:32bed. You guys were like cuddling. We1:37:34would literally have to be. We got a1:37:36roll out bed.1:37:36>> No, but I'm I'm kind of a heavy dude.1:37:38And I would feel bad cuz I try my1:37:40hardest to slip out, but like I'll see1:37:42Jeremy. [laughter] I'll literally watch1:37:44him. So, we're flat like this. As soon1:37:47as I get off, he's like1:37:50>> [laughter]1:37:50>> Oh, it goes like this.1:37:52>> It would readjust and readjust every1:37:54time.1:37:54>> Every time. And And Jeremy's like a very1:37:56light sleeper, too. So, he he'll feel1:37:58it. And I'm like, "Dang."1:38:00>> I tried my very best. I was like mission1:38:02it.1:38:04I'm like trying to get off. And I just1:38:06am looking over the whole time like, and1:38:08it's so freaking hard. [laughter]1:38:11>> Just like and and and I I'm sitting1:38:14there with earplugs, eye mask, like the1:38:16whole noise cancelling headphones. And1:38:18every time I'm just like,1:38:20>> "Yeah, this guy moving around."1:38:24>> Yeah. [laughter]1:38:26>> Yeah. I was just like this,1:38:28>> bro. And And then I started having the1:38:29thoughts, why do you eat two entre? You1:38:31could have had just one, [laughter]1:38:34>> man, if he wasn't so heavy.1:38:37[gasps and laughter]1:38:38>> Yeah. But no, and then but the events1:38:41were amazing, right? We get to the1:38:43events1:38:44>> where Jeremy what he does he he really1:38:47keeps me humble in a lot of ways. You1:38:48guys don't see be or maybe you do see1:38:50behind the scenes but he every time the1:38:52seats don't fill up he goes bro fell1:38:54off. Bro [laughter] fell off. Bro fell1:38:56off.1:38:56>> He fell off.1:38:57>> He's like you fell off, bro. Well,1:38:58Johnny, if you just worked harder, you1:39:00know, maybe it would be filled. So,1:39:02what's crazy about Sweden is everybody's1:39:03late. That's what I also noticed. Like1:39:05you guys are so such a be I mean, I get1:39:08it. You're like sightseeing. Oh, this is1:39:10so beautiful, right? like taking your1:39:11time. But we get [clears throat] there,1:39:14doors open, people are still this thing1:39:17has like it's Philadelphia church is1:39:19beautiful, beautiful church has this1:39:21screen that opens up. You guys seen the1:39:23real amazing but just the first bottom1:39:27portion, first level was was filled and1:39:30doors were opening already and I was1:39:31like, "Huh, okay, maybe that's what it1:39:33is." People run to us and go, "Yo,1:39:36Johnny, droves of people are now coming1:39:37in. 20, 30, 40 coming in like this. When1:39:40I finally go out, the whole place is1:39:43packed. Like every seat filled crazy on1:39:46top. It was one of the biggest altar1:39:47calls in Europe. Um, from what pastor1:39:49told me. And so it was it was beautiful.1:39:52But yeah, to to see that many people fly1:39:55in as well. We had people flying in from1:39:58Finland. We had people flying in from1:40:00Belgium, from Germany, different places1:40:02like this to [clears throat] to hear the1:40:04gospel was amazing. And then we we kind1:40:08of felt sad leaving Sweden because it1:40:10was so pretty. Then we get to Amsterdam.1:40:13>> Wait, wait, wait. I have some things on1:40:14Sweden.1:40:14>> Go ahead.1:40:15>> So, first of all, first thing I noticed1:40:17is when you go into the men's bathroom,1:40:19they don't have urinal dividers in any1:40:21of the bathrooms. So, I'm just full on1:40:23bonding with the with the culture1:40:25immediately. Just staring at Hog.1:40:28They're staring at mine,1:40:30>> you know, and I was like, "Oh, okay.1:40:31>> There's no dividers."1:40:32>> No dividers in none of the bathrooms.1:40:34I'm1:40:34>> Doesn't mean you have to look. They were1:40:36looking just like1:40:37>> how do you know they were looking?1:40:38>> Cuz we just would lock eyes.1:40:40>> Jeremy's [laughter] being like, "Not1:40:42bad. Not bad."1:40:44>> The other thing was that um everybody1:40:46moves a lot slower in Sweden. Like and I1:40:49noticed it because I noticed it in1:40:51myself. I would sit down at the1:40:52restaurant and in America the server1:40:54comes over, you you begin whatever.1:40:56>> Server wouldn't come for like 201:40:58minutes. I'm like, "What's going on?"1:40:59And then I kind of like look around and1:41:01everyone's just chilling.1:41:02>> Yeah. And and then also what I noticed1:41:04is is that when we would go out and it1:41:07was a warm, we got in Sweden when it was1:41:09beautiful, everybody was outside and1:41:10they were just enjoying the weather,1:41:12sitting around, but they weren't on1:41:13their phones and they were just either1:41:15talking or they were just sitting there1:41:17doing nothing. And I purposely just like1:41:19would watch somebody. I'm like, they're1:41:20going to pull out their phone at some1:41:21point. No.1:41:22>> Nope. Just kind of sitting there1:41:24>> chilling,1:41:24>> enjoying the weather.1:41:26>> Yeah. Just like just like maybe eyes1:41:28closed. I'm like, this feels like out of1:41:29a fairy tale. These people are so1:41:30peaceful. So then I was wondering like1:41:32I'm wondering does do people in Sweden1:41:35have anxiety and depression and if they1:41:37do is it a different form of anxiety and1:41:39depression than what we feel like is it1:41:42like1:41:42>> you know1:41:43>> just like a a less potent anxiet like1:41:45what is your anxiety and depression1:41:47Swedes like cuz I was like these these1:41:50people were just like chilling it like1:41:51what do they fear and worry about what1:41:53concerns them are they they're not doom1:41:55scrolling like do they have like1:41:56>> well I mean you're only seeing the1:41:58people out chilling1:41:59>> of course seeing the doom scrollers But1:42:01I still want to know what their version1:42:02of anxiety and depression is compared to1:42:04ours, right? I just think it's less, you1:42:06know,1:42:07>> and we didn't go to the hoods, so a lot1:42:09of us, you know, were kind of shielded1:42:11from that thankfully, which was great.1:42:13But1:42:13>> maybe one day I want to return back and1:42:15see the the neighborhoods as well. But1:42:17it was it is by far top 10 beautiful1:42:20city, beautiful people. Um, you know,1:42:23just their heart postures, willing to1:42:25listen to the gospel, just very very1:42:27nice people. Really nice. And it's crazy1:42:29because people would come up to us even1:42:31in Sweden. The server knew me. He was a1:42:33Christian. Uh when we went to1:42:35Michelangelos's, which is this pizza1:42:37spot out there, it was just it was it1:42:39was nice. It was really really nice.1:42:40>> The the other thing I noticed in Sweden1:42:42is no sugar.1:42:44>> So they they use artificial sugars and1:42:46everything and it made everything taste1:42:47different.1:42:48>> Yeah. It tasted more like diet.1:42:49Everything was kind of diet sugary1:42:51stuff. But it's just interesting how1:42:53like in 2026 it's like because of like1:42:56trade wars or whatever it is it's like1:42:58hey it's too expensive to put sugar in1:43:00it and we can't tax.1:43:02>> Yeah. Whereas like in America we get1:43:04everything you know.1:43:05>> We're just like give me give me give me1:43:06give me give me1:43:07>> super spoiled out here.1:43:08>> Yeah. And I was I was just like even1:43:09that is just a interesting thing.1:43:12>> But um1:43:13>> yeah.1:43:13>> What do you think about the food in1:43:14Sweden?1:43:15>> Sweden was great. Sweden food was good.1:43:17Um I think I think their steaks were1:43:20pretty fire. We went to a steakhouse. I1:43:22was like, "Not bad."1:43:24>> Also, that Italian restaurant, I was1:43:26like, the pizza was like we were in1:43:27Italy. I was like,1:43:29>> yeah, it was like very, very good.1:43:30>> The breakfast spot we got with like the1:43:32eggs,1:43:33>> Benedict.1:43:34>> Oh, that was fire. Pastrami egg1:43:36benedict.1:43:36>> What I loved eating is the food1:43:38definitely ta tasted like uh fresher.1:43:40>> It was like [clears throat] I wasn't1:43:41sick after anything.1:43:42>> I was getting skinny over the trip.1:43:44>> I lost 5 lbs.1:43:45>> See, I came back and I'm getting fat1:43:47again.1:43:47>> Yeah, facts. Um, and then we moved to1:43:50Amsterdam, which was Amsterdam, I didn't1:43:53know, was built on on basically like1:43:55pilings and like water, right? So, the1:43:58Dutch, they know about super good about1:44:00water. So, it's kind of it's kind of1:44:02crazy to see the contrast though.1:44:05Amsterdam was a little bit more uh, how1:44:09do I say? It was more fast-paced for1:44:10sure. Felt like a dirty city.1:44:14[gasps]1:44:14>> Well, come come on. No one Yeah. No1:44:17one's No, come on. No one's gonna be1:44:19like, "Oh, you go to Sweden and it's1:44:21like pristine." And then go to Amsterdam1:44:22and be like, "Oh, it's the same." It's1:44:24just1:44:24>> What I say about Amsterdam is every shot1:44:27was pretty like photogenic. Like you1:44:31could have your back just to the train1:44:32station or what? It was beautiful. And I1:44:34feel like all of Europe might probably1:44:37be like that. Just the old like forged1:44:40buildings, the cobblestone, right? It's1:44:43such a beautiful It's just I like that.1:44:45I like that vibe. the red lights1:44:47everywhere in Amsterdam. Like it was1:44:48beautiful. No, you were all the blue1:44:50lights. [laughter]1:44:53>> There's one thing I didn't go to was the1:44:54red light district, which I think is1:44:56great. I don't think I needed to go1:44:57there. But um the the city was good.1:45:00>> Let me just tell you, it was awesome. Me1:45:01and Aaron both went No, I'm just1:45:03[laughter] kidding.1:45:05>> Crazy. But uh um yeah, but Amsterdam, we1:45:09went to Dam Square. We heard, I don't1:45:11know, you guys can fact check this, but1:45:13Damscore was a place where they would do1:45:14public executions and stuff like that.1:45:16So then to go there, preach the gospel1:45:18there. Um, it does have that vibe like1:45:21when you see just it's weird. It's like1:45:24a old town vibe.1:45:25>> Those big Gothic Yeah. Gothic like1:45:28>> um you know type of type of uh buildings1:45:31and1:45:32>> but to see that many people show up was1:45:34was pretty crazy. Um, overall there's1:45:37people, you know, coming and going.1:45:40They're looking at us. We have photos1:45:42and, you know, video and cameras out. We1:45:45had the Mulligan brothers and sister1:45:47Mulligan family with us. They were1:45:49phenomenal. They were great.1:45:50>> Documentary coming soon.1:45:51>> We had Bomb. The thing that blew me away1:45:54was we had Bomb Cha Jang, Black Bean1:45:56Noodles in Amsterdam. Shout out Donnie1:45:59from Pakes Noodle uh Noodle House. Um,1:46:02he he literally was making it from1:46:05scratch. She was showing us with the1:46:06noodle machine, all that stuff.1:46:07>> Dude, let me let me let me lead up to1:46:09the story. Yeah, you're underelling the1:46:11story. So, the Mulligan Brothers1:46:14>> Oh, sorry. Sorry, my tone.1:46:15>> I do underell the story, but I struggle1:46:17with that.1:46:18>> Hey, so so the Mulligan brothers, they1:46:19have a YouTube channel. You could look1:46:21them up. And they just do these1:46:22documentaries on all different types of1:46:24people. It's not necessarily faith1:46:25focused, but they wanted to do a1:46:27documentary on Johnny. And they're from1:46:28the UK. Yeah. So, they flew over1:46:31Nuttingham. Yeah. They flew over to to1:46:33Amsterdam to to shoot with us. And one1:46:35of the things they said is he uh Jordan1:46:38the he's kind of like the face of the1:46:40Mulan brothers was like, "Yo, I really1:46:42want to do something. Can we do1:46:44something around black bean noodles?1:46:45That's such a pivotal part of the story.1:46:47That's literally what led you into the1:46:49church." And so we were kind of looking1:46:51up some places and Johnny was like,1:46:52"There's only one place in Amsterdam1:46:54that's like near us that probably has it1:46:56and it's this place, Pikes Noodle1:46:58House." P A I Ks. Yeah. go check them1:47:02out in Amsterdam. They And so we go and1:47:04and and there's an issue though, like a1:47:06lot of these restaurants are a lot1:47:07smaller in Amsterdam and we have four1:47:10camera guys.1:47:11>> Yeah.1:47:11>> Um they have three camera guys, our own1:47:13fourth, and then we also have three1:47:14other people and whatever it is. On top1:47:17of that, a lot of a lot of the1:47:18restaurants we went to were like no1:47:19filming. Like even though we were just1:47:21filming ourselves, they didn't like that1:47:23we had camera gear or whatever. So, we1:47:26go and the first thing like like they're1:47:29all standing outside of the restaurant1:47:30and it's tiny. There's only like two1:47:32tables. We're like, "How are we going to1:47:33film this?" It's kind of packed cuz it's1:47:35like lunchtime. And we're just like,1:47:37"What should we do?" And I'm like, "All1:47:38right, let me go in there, see if1:47:39they're okay with filming." So, I walk1:47:40in and and the girl is like, "Oh, I1:47:43don't make the decisions. I have to talk1:47:44to the manager. He's like busy right1:47:46now, but let me talk to him and see if1:47:48it's okay."1:47:48>> This actually like owns that franchise,1:47:50by the way, not the manager. And so I'm1:47:52holding so so what I did is is I also1:47:55have Johnny's Instagram up and I'm like1:47:57this is who we're filming with. He's a1:47:58pastor. He's got a lot of followers.1:48:00Thinking that maybe I could finesse be1:48:01like if you let us film I'll tag you1:48:03guys whatever it is. And she's like oh1:48:05let me She's very kind. She's like let1:48:06me talk to the manager or whatever it1:48:08is. The manager comes down and I see him1:48:10talking and so I walk back into the1:48:12restaurant and I'm just like hey this is1:48:15who he is whatever it is. And the1:48:16manager looks at my phone and he kind of1:48:18like nods. He's like yeah it's fine. He1:48:20doesn't like really like give any1:48:21indication that he knows who we are or1:48:23anything like that.1:48:24>> The other thing I noticed is there's a1:48:26staircase right by the cash register.1:48:28And I'm like, "Hey, do you guys have1:48:29upstairs?" And they're like, "Yes, but1:48:31he's he's prepping right now. He's1:48:32prepping food and also like we don't1:48:35really open up the upstairs if the if1:48:37the downstairs isn't full." I'm like,1:48:38"Can we please I promise we'll be quiet.1:48:41Like we we don't care if he's prepping.1:48:42Like just can we go upstairs?" So she1:48:44goes up to the manager again and he's1:48:46like, "Yeah, yeah, sure. Uh, I'm making1:48:48noodles right now for the restaurant.1:48:49And so I'm like, "Okay." So I go out and1:48:50I get everybody like, "Yo, they're1:48:52letting us shoot upstairs. We go1:48:53upstairs to set up." And he's got this1:48:55huge giant machine. Okay. You want to1:48:58also pre prior to this cuz I've taken1:49:00people to eat jaong before. I I've1:49:03honestly received like very very mixed1:49:05reviews, but overall it's net negative.1:49:08It's not They're thinking noodles is1:49:09like a soup. It's not a soup. It's like,1:49:12you know, bean paste as a sauce. It's1:49:14kind of weird and people don't do it do1:49:17it really well nowadays. And so I'm1:49:20thinking and Jordan and them, they're1:49:21vegan, by the way. So I'm like, "Oh,1:49:23they might not like it, but then it1:49:24might work out." Originally, the plan1:49:26was, I'll just get one. We'll film some1:49:28B-roll and then we'll go and get food.1:49:31But Aaron, actually, [clears throat]1:49:33Aaron points at the menu and he goes,1:49:34"I'm down to rip this right now. This1:49:36looks fire. Like, let's do it."1:49:38>> Oh, yeah.1:49:39>> By the way, go find whatever you want.1:49:40I'm like, "Am I crazy to want this?" No,1:49:42good. I'm glad you said that because1:49:43Johnny was sitting there underelling it1:49:45to everybody because of his experience.1:49:47But I'm like, yo, but me, I'm like,1:49:49dude, this is good. Like, they should1:49:50try it or whatever.1:49:52>> The other vegan, the vegan part is1:49:53important to the story because I'm like,1:49:55there's pork in this. There's little1:49:56minced pork, whatever. Maybe it's the1:49:59sauce is pre-made. They're not going to1:50:00be able to pull it out. The Mullan1:50:02brothers can't eat it. Mullan family.1:50:03But they1:50:04>> and we we look at the menu and they have1:50:07[clears throat] vegan options. And I'm1:50:08like,1:50:08>> and that's by the way the only one chain1:50:10that does that, by the way, in1:50:12Amsterdam, in all of Europe. So,1:50:14>> but but so we we'll get that. So,1:50:16anyways, the guy is making noodles.1:50:18We're setting up and we start to film1:50:20and then we go, "Oh, and shout out to1:50:22the manager here. He let us and he kind1:50:24of pokes he he talks to us and he goes,1:50:27I actually know who you are."1:50:28>> Yeah. He goes, "Oh, I actually know who1:50:30you Oh, you you're the one. Oh, hello."1:50:32And1:50:32>> he said, "What he said is you're the1:50:33reason I go I go back to church."1:50:35>> Yes. Yeah.1:50:36>> So, we interview him and he's like he he1:50:38wasn't Christian1:50:39>> or he was fell away from it1:50:42>> for many many many years. This guy's1:50:43like a old he's like, you know, in his1:50:45late 30s or 40s running this restaurant.1:50:47Used to be a data engineer. Now he runs1:50:49a noodle noodle shop. And he was1:50:51basically like Johnny is the reason I1:50:53started going back to church and I1:50:55reconsidered it. And he just found you1:50:56on Instagram.1:50:57>> And then what's crazy is1:50:59>> the franchise would normally send him1:51:02the noodles, but he didn't like the1:51:04consistency of it. So he started to make1:51:06his own noodle recipe and that's why he1:51:08was literally never shows up at he he's1:51:10like I maybe come to the restaurant he's1:51:11like this is crazy cuz I maybe come to1:51:13the restaurant three or four times a1:51:15week and I so happened to be here. He's1:51:17making the noodles in front of us and1:51:19when he and and he was also1:51:21>> supposed to leave an hour before that by1:51:23the way but to go meet his kid whatever1:51:26and he's like I'm not even supposed to1:51:28be here. You guys walked in right on1:51:29time to get all this footage and I saw1:51:32Jordan light up like yo the fact that1:51:34all of this came together like1:51:36spiritually was [snorts] such a a1:51:38beautiful blessing.1:51:39>> We were this close not to going into the1:51:41restaurant. We were about to we were we1:51:42were about to skip the whole restaurant.1:51:44But but what was crazy too about it was1:51:46he explained to us how he was like all1:51:49the things the tweaks he did to his own1:51:51restaurant to better cater to people1:51:54coming. He was like he had to create a1:51:56new vegan. He was like the vegan part1:51:58like I had to re-engineer the sauce to1:52:00make it taste good for whatever it is.1:52:02He had vegan options for the chicken and1:52:04whatever it is.1:52:05>> Sleep dish who was halal. They had halal1:52:07hal everything lined up. It was crazy.1:52:10>> And so and so uh uh we we shoot there1:52:13and he brings out the jaongyan fire.1:52:16Fire.1:52:18>> It was like something that like you can1:52:19find in Ktown. And I would have like1:52:21been like thinking about it.1:52:22>> Same same. We should go right after.1:52:24I've been meaning to to eat that since I1:52:27met you. Like since the day I met you,1:52:29since I watched the the video, like1:52:31literally it's been years.1:52:32>> I know.1:52:33>> And it was like and like when you have1:52:35high expectations, things never meet1:52:36them. But um it was so good.1:52:40>> The first slurp I just hear I'm eating1:52:43obviously. I'm like this is fire. I hear1:52:46m that's so good. I look over and it's1:52:49Jordan [laughter]1:52:50>> with bold [clears throat] by the way1:52:52wearing a white shirt eating cha jung1:52:54>> splatters over him he's like whatever1:52:57bro literally cleans the like bowl and1:53:00then there's like a little bit of the1:53:02sauce left1:53:03>> and he goes do we normally like do you1:53:05normally drink this and then as he's1:53:07doing he's like do you normally drink1:53:08this boom [laughter] and he drinks it1:53:10and I'm just like yo yeah you could do1:53:12that you could do that and he was so1:53:13he's like man I I I want another one but1:53:16I got to chill you know cuz he's very1:53:17like like disciplined.1:53:18>> He's also like 6'5 just1:53:21>> huge. And he goes, "I could see where1:53:24what you meant, Johnny, where you can't1:53:26explain the taste, but you can explain1:53:28the emotion behind the taste." And he1:53:29put it in such a way like it really is a1:53:32comfort food. And um I kind of explained1:53:35why I love jajangy, which you guys have1:53:38to watch, you know, it's it's it's it's1:53:40deeper than, you know, the church. It's1:53:43way deeper than that. And I probably1:53:45shared it before, but this one this1:53:47documentary is going to go nuts. It's1:53:49crazy. And then the the other piece1:53:51about that was uh uh1:53:55uh1:53:56>> Yeah, sure, buddy.1:53:57>> Oh. Oh, yeah. So, as we were leaving, I1:53:59don't know if you guys noticed, they had1:54:01a a picture frame above one of the seats1:54:03and it was RM from BTS sat here. So, one1:54:06of the BTS members. So, guys, if you're1:54:07in Amsterdam, go to Pikes, try it. Tell1:54:09them Johnny Chang sent you.1:54:12>> Yeah. The the manager will be really1:54:13happy. His name is Donnie if you see the1:54:15manager. And and uh yeah, it was it was1:54:17just it just was like a like the it was1:54:20the last day in Amsterdam. It was just1:54:22the perfect1:54:23>> aligned man. Honestly, not not we're not1:54:25big on Super G, but it's like1:54:27>> I literally1:54:29>> I was like almost ashamed like dang1:54:32everyone loved it and here I am like not1:54:34going to really like I can't explain the1:54:36taste. It's you know like but they loved1:54:39it. every single all the fat mulligan1:54:41people. Jeremy was like, "This is fire."1:54:44Aaron was like, "Why didn't we do this1:54:46earlier?" Like, it was just so funny.1:54:48>> Cuz Deon Deon looked at it. He was like,1:54:50"I'm not that hungry. I'll just eat the1:54:51chicken." Then he tried, you know, he1:54:53tried a bite of mine. He's like, "I1:54:54should have got that. I'll order a1:54:56bowl."1:54:56>> Yeah.1:54:58>> So funny.1:54:58>> So good.1:54:59>> Beautiful.1:55:00>> Oh, so1:55:01>> Amsterdam, what did you love about1:55:02Amsterdam? Well, I just want to go back1:55:04into like the events where I just want1:55:06to tell you guys like we didn't expect1:55:09what was going to happen. We came into1:55:11Europe completely blankminded. We had no1:55:12idea what to expect. We thought, okay,1:55:14we've done events across America.1:55:15They've been really successful. We kind1:55:17of have a gauge on who's going to show1:55:18up where, but Europe was a free-for-all.1:55:20I mean, it could have been zero people,1:55:22and we wouldn't have been surprised.1:55:24Like, we just didn't know what was going1:55:26to happen. RSVPs usually go through1:55:27text. We can't text Europeans. So, it1:55:29was all through email. The open rate was1:55:31only like 40%. Like the whole thing was1:55:33giving me just like who knows what's1:55:34going to happen.1:55:35>> Yes.1:55:35>> And then it slammed out in every city.1:55:391,400 people in Sweden, over a,000 the1:55:42second day in the first day in1:55:43Amsterdam, 1,800 the second day of1:55:45Amsterdam. Like over 5,000 people came1:55:48out from across Europe. People are1:55:50flying in from all these different1:55:51surrounding European countries. It1:55:53>> someone flew in from Kenya.1:55:55>> Kenya, Kenya, Africa.1:55:57>> It was genuinely insane. like we just we1:56:00had no idea what to expect and it way1:56:02blew my expectations way out of the1:56:04water and it was just a clear sign and1:56:06indicator because dude that's hard1:56:09>> super hard1:56:10>> to do that in Europe is such a sign like1:56:12>> VR international1:56:14>> genuinely any of your f anyone listening1:56:15your favorite influencer can't get 5,0001:56:18people out in Europe I mean [laughter]1:56:19maybe maybe but it's just crazy because1:56:22they're not they're they're here for1:56:23Johnny but they're not here for Johnny1:56:25they're here for Jesus and it's like1:56:26truly truly you1:56:27>> keep saying 57,000 000 [snorts] heavy1:56:324,000. No, you're right. Not 4,000.1:56:34>> About 5,000.1:56:34>> 5,000. But um1:56:36>> what what's crazy is the second event,1:56:39which was the last event, the church1:56:40event at Amsterdam, we didn't even1:56:42really promote. We actually had to stop1:56:44promoting. And that event cracked. Like1:56:47we're kind of glad that we didn't1:56:49because we literally we were packed in1:56:51there like sardines, bro.1:56:52>> No, no, no. First it was 7. Again, bro1:56:55does not set up the story well. church1:56:57hold 750 seating.1:56:59>> And they told us this over and over1:57:00again. They've been telling us 750 for1:57:02weeks. Um they were asking us to stop1:57:04promote. They were telling us like that,1:57:06oh, we have a little overflow. Maybe we1:57:08can open the doors and fit an extra1:57:09hundred, whatever it is.1:57:11>> Yeah.1:57:11>> But then Yeah. 1,800 people showed up.1:57:14There was a block down four city, a line1:57:16down four city blocks. And it was just1:57:18like everyone in the church, like the1:57:20background, it was chaos. We had to1:57:22instantly adjust. We just cleared out1:57:23all the No, first we tried to clear the1:57:25back half. No, the chairs that they laid1:57:27out, they were zip tied together. Every1:57:30single individual 750 chairs were black1:57:33zip tied together. Not just all you undo1:57:35the velcro,1:57:36>> not just you lift up, it was black1:57:38hostage zip ties.1:57:39>> So they had to go through. It was chaos.1:57:41There was like 30 plus volunteers1:57:43pulling rows of chairs cuz they were all1:57:45stuck together, pulling them in a crowd1:57:47of people, stacking them, pulling them1:57:48apart, like just packing people in. They1:57:51turned it into standing room only. And1:57:52literally 1,800 people fit into a 7501:57:55person.1:57:56>> Yeah. We had to hand out waters. It was1:57:57hot.1:57:58>> It was hot,1:57:58>> dude. But people just stuck through it.1:58:00>> They stayed for four hours.1:58:02>> Yeah.1:58:02>> Standing shoulderto-shoulder sweating.1:58:05That was insane.1:58:07>> Shout out Amsterdam. Shout out Europe.1:58:09Man,1:58:09>> that's the one tough thing about free1:58:11events though because like some some1:58:12people were like, "Oh, well, why didn't1:58:14you know?" It's like, "Well, it's a free1:58:15event." And we've had events where 8001:58:17people have RSVPd and remember New1:58:19Orleans and we go through the effort of1:58:21getting a big building and only three1:58:23orund or 400 people show up.1:58:24>> Yeah. So it's your fault. [laughter]1:58:26>> It's all your fault.1:58:27>> No, I'm just saying it's like it's like1:58:28>> I know who does that. I want to address1:58:30that.1:58:30>> It's just tough for a free event.1:58:32>> Don't sign up if you're not going to1:58:33come. I'm just kidding.1:58:34>> Yeah. No, no, no.1:58:34>> True.1:58:35>> But I mean it's just like maybe we make1:58:37these pay. No, I'm just kidding.1:58:38>> No, it was it was a crazy indicator of1:58:40what you can do1:58:42>> and it just made me think, oh, we should1:58:44have gone way longer. We should have1:58:45been here for 3 weeks. We should have1:58:46hit every single city in Europe.1:58:48>> We didn't even hit London.1:58:49>> No.1:58:49>> If we hit London, they said, "You have a1:58:51massive following."1:58:52>> Yeah.1:58:53>> But massive.1:58:54>> It was crazy. So, it was just a sign.1:58:57Next time we go to Europe, it's going to1:58:58be a lot bigger, a lot longer. We're1:59:01We're ready to do more international. We1:59:02have a big thou 3,000 person church in1:59:04Guadalajara. A lot of Spanish speaker, a1:59:07lot of Spanish speaking Johnny Cheng1:59:09Espanol fans. We want to hit all the big1:59:11ones. We want to go to Prague. We want1:59:12to go to Florence. We're going to like1:59:14it. It's an indicator that this is all1:59:16possible and just spread the gospel to1:59:18the ends of the earth, right?1:59:19>> Yes.1:59:19>> Van shout out just shout out the1:59:22European fans. It was cool.1:59:24>> For real. Love you guys very much. You1:59:26guys are very reserved, by the way. But1:59:28I love that. Next time1:59:30>> be a little more turned up, please.1:59:32[laughter]1:59:32>> No,1:59:33>> dude. That was crazy. They were not1:59:34reacting. Okay. Everyone in Europe is1:59:36very polite. So even when you go to1:59:38concerts and stuff, I hear like people1:59:40will try not to sing the words or clap1:59:41just so everyone can actually hear it1:59:43and people are very respectful.1:59:45>> They were they were too respectful. Make1:59:47some noise.1:59:48>> Amsterdam though, like to towards the1:59:50end was getting more loosened up to what1:59:52I was saying. Like when I I saw the clip1:59:54and I was like, you may be seated.1:59:56Everyone's standing. There's nowhere to1:59:58sit. Everyone's like, ah, I sort of1:59:59dying. But like it's Yeah, you guys are2:00:02very respectful. I love that. But also,2:00:05we kind of feed off of the crowd, too,2:00:06to be like, are they listening? Are they2:00:08not? For me, it was more of just2:00:09preaching, which was great. Um, and the2:00:12setup in Amsterdam was cool because I2:00:14just went into the word.2:00:15>> Literally, like the the last day I was2:00:17like, "You guys know me. If you don't2:00:19know me, this is who I am. I'm going to2:00:21just go to the Bible." And people were2:00:22like, I saw people's faces like, "What2:00:24the heck?" Like, "You're not going to2:00:25know about my testimony. We're just2:00:27going to talk about Jesus, Adam, and2:00:28Eve, and how it ties back to the2:00:30gospel." And after that, when I was2:00:32taking photos, everyone was like, "Bro,2:00:34I never knew Adam and Eve was like2:00:35that." And even the other pastors were2:00:37like, "Dang, that that's crazy that you2:00:39tied Adam and Eve to the bride in the2:00:41church." Basically, you know,2:00:42>> hey, where can they go watch the full2:00:44sermon?2:00:45>> Uh, like it's not going to be out when2:00:47this comes out.2:00:48>> I know, but when what? No.2:00:50>> Core of the heart.2:00:51>> Core of the heart daily. The app. That's2:00:53right. A lot of people got the app. It2:00:54was really, really good. Yeah.2:00:55>> But yeah, the energy was just like cuz I2:00:58know the lines that you say that gets2:00:59the reactions and that's when I get my2:01:01videos. So when I start to hear like and2:01:03that's what turned the person from me2:01:05from misery to ministry and I know it's2:01:07coming all through Jesus and I'm ready2:01:08for the reaction and they were just2:01:10silent2:01:11>> and I'm like come on man. We needed we2:01:13needed like you to be like ad libing on2:01:15the mand2:01:17up.2:01:18>> You to be like uns. [laughter]2:01:21>> There was uh uh which city did you like2:01:24more?2:01:25>> Sweden for the aesthetic.2:01:28>> Amsterdam for the for the people though.2:01:30>> Vibes.2:01:31>> Vibes. Vibes was was fire. It2:01:33>> was more lively because it was like a2:01:35Sweden felt a little more reserved.2:01:37>> Yeah. very2:01:37>> and then Amsterdam it's like a lot of2:01:39the people were very social and wanted2:01:41to talk and things like that2:01:43>> for me like um like and people have2:01:46different perspectives but Sweden is2:01:48very cool Amsterdam is very fun so it's2:01:50like it depends how you look at it which2:01:51city was cooler definitely Sweden which2:01:53city is more fun would I rather spend2:01:54more time in definitely Amsterdam it's2:01:56like Sweden's cool you do the thing you2:01:58see cool stuff but then it's a ghost2:01:59town by like 8:00 p.m. But I would say2:02:02it's different. Yeah, it's it's not that2:02:04it's like they're all different. I I2:02:06think it's just Yeah, it is true though.2:02:08It is a ghost town after.2:02:09>> I mean, we were out walking around at2:02:101:30 in the morning in Amsterdam and it2:02:12was packed. It was busier than the2:02:14daytime. I'm like, "Okay, this what I'm2:02:15talking about."2:02:16>> It was fun.2:02:17>> Also had some of the best churros ever2:02:19in Amsterdam.2:02:20>> Oh my gosh, bro. I still think of that.2:02:24>> They had this Nutella dip on top of I2:02:26was like,2:02:27>> "Can I live here?"2:02:29So, we should go to El Marorrow though2:02:30in Silver Lake cuz they also have really2:02:32>> You guys know uh Devon and I went back2:02:34the next night.2:02:36[laughter]2:02:36>> Why didn't you tell us?2:02:38>> Thanks for the invite.2:02:39>> We were walking around. It was the last2:02:41night. It was like 1:30 in the morning.2:02:42We couldn't sleep so we were just doing2:02:43some sightseeing and then like Amsterdam2:02:46was a total maze. We were doing some2:02:48sightseeing. A lot of red lights. No,2:02:50I'm just kidding. I'm totally kidding.2:02:52>> He's like just kidding. Only the blue2:02:53lights.2:02:54>> Only the blue ones. No, but we were just2:02:55walking around by the churches, like the2:02:57oldest church in Amsterdam, you know,2:02:58the one by our hotel. We were just2:02:59taking laps and like seeing the sites2:03:00and the whole thing is kind of a maze2:03:01that all funnels back into the same2:03:03areas. Before you know it, you're back2:03:04where you started and you totally turned2:03:06around. But we were just walking around2:03:07and we're like, "That's the churro2:03:09place." And we just had to go back. It2:03:10was so good.2:03:12>> So good.2:03:13>> It's cheap.2:03:13>> I don't know. Deon bought me the2:03:14churros. Thanks, Deon.2:03:15 we2:03:17>> dude. The other thing about Amsterdam,2:03:20the urinals were up to my chest.2:03:22[laughter]2:03:23The urinals are so tall.2:03:25>> That's true.2:03:26>> I was like, "What?" I was like, "What am2:03:27I supposed to rest my chin here?"2:03:29>> I'd wash my face in them. I was like,2:03:31"Oh, it's for washing your face."2:03:32[laughter]2:03:33And then someone was like, "No, that's2:03:34what that's why you take a piss."2:03:37>> Um, and I was like, "Oh, [laughter] just2:03:41they Okay, they weren't that tall, but2:03:43it's like I can lowkey rest my balls on2:03:46them. [laughter]2:03:47>> I'll just say that." Why is that? Why2:03:48are you shaking your head?2:03:49>> Cuz we can't say that.2:03:51>> Why? I think.2:03:52>> Yeah. It's just like I'm just explaining2:03:54I'm explaining the height.2:03:55>> I guess I meant like why do you want to2:03:57be saying that? Like2:03:59>> just be like I could rest my chestnuts2:04:00on them, you know? Like don't just say2:04:02like my balls.2:04:03>> Don't make everyone in the audience2:04:05visualize you resting your balls on2:04:06[laughter] somebody.2:04:07>> I'm just showing them how tall it was.2:04:09Okay. I'm a tall guy.2:04:11>> Are you? How tall are you?2:04:13>> 64.2:04:15Something like that. And then and then2:04:16when we were in the airport, we met that2:04:18one guy who's in Game of Thrones season2:04:203. He's 8t tall.2:04:22>> Yeah, he was 74.2:04:23>> 72.2:04:24>> 72. I thought he said he's 7'4.2:04:26>> No.2:04:26>> Something.2:04:27>> Yeah. He made Johnny look like a little2:04:28baby girl,2:04:29>> dude. [laughter]2:04:31>> True.2:04:32>> Yeah. No, I stood next to him and I was2:04:33just like, "Oh my gosh, he felt2:04:36different."2:04:36>> Yeah.2:04:37>> But yeah, overall Oh, yeah. And then I2:04:39threw off my back on the last day and I2:04:41never ever2:04:42>> That was crazy. It's crazy.2:04:44>> Do not be around people who threw out2:04:45their back. Okay.2:04:47>> I was in good spirits.2:04:48>> No, you were good. You were really good.2:04:49How dare you? No. No. You were good. I2:04:51felt sad. I was like, "Dang." I felt bad2:04:53for Jerome.2:04:53>> Oh, you know what else? I I'm2:04:55>> Tell them how, Jeremy. You know what I'm2:04:56tell?2:04:57>> Okay. It's a leadup to that. Okay. It2:04:59wasn't over one thing.2:05:00>> It was one thing Jeremy picked up an 82:05:02kg weight2:05:04>> thinking it was 8 pounds2:05:06>> when it was the heavy 16 or 172:05:09[laughter] lbs. So heavy. kilograms.2:05:11When you're trying to work out in a2:05:12European gym, you just double it. So, if2:05:14it's 8 kg, it's around 16 lbs.2:05:17>> Jeremy just picked it up thinking, "Oh,2:05:188 lb." And then2:05:20>> single leg single leg deadlift.2:05:22>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But leading up to it,2:05:24it's like I had sat for 10 hours, like2:05:26didn't stretch. I was on my feet walking2:05:28insane amounts in weird holding cameras2:05:31like cuz I don't have a tripod or2:05:33nothing like as steady as I can like.2:05:35>> Yeah. I came in the room and Jeremy2:05:37said, "I'm super pissed. I threw out my2:05:39back." And that's when I was like a2:05:42Titan because I knew don't talk to him.2:05:44And he fell asleep. Like I was still2:05:46working and he just turned off all the2:05:48lights. I was like, [laughter] "No2:05:50problem. Star of the show. I just It's2:05:53okay, bro." Literally, no. I I'm2:05:56serious. I was still working. I was2:05:58like, "Okay, let me do this." He's like,2:06:00>> like I hear him, you know, stomping and2:06:02I was like,2:06:03>> "Jeremy, [laughter]2:06:05okay." I actually did cuz he had air. I2:06:07was like Jeremy and then he just was2:06:09like just knocked out.2:06:11>> Guess work in the dark.2:06:13>> I was also so exhausted that2:06:15>> I know no you you2:06:16>> Sorry I threw out my back for you.2:06:18>> No, no, I know. I did feel bad about2:06:20that. I did genuinely was like dude we2:06:22did all this for what? You know, and I2:06:24got kind of mad. I ain't going to lie. I2:06:26was mad cuz I was like, "Do the people2:06:28even see how much we genuinely sacrifice2:06:30to like do stuff like this?" You know,2:06:32it's not your guys' fault. We love doing2:06:34it for you guys. I'm just saying like,2:06:35"Dang, man. like we we go through the2:06:37ringer for real in in a lot of ways. And2:06:40um there's a lot of things behind the2:06:42scenes that you guys don't see. A lot of2:06:43butting heads, a lot of like bending2:06:45hearts, a lot of uh throwing out the2:06:48back, a lot of farts.2:06:51>> A lot of farts.2:06:52>> Blowing out the backs.2:06:53>> A lot of blowing [laughter] out the I2:06:55kept saying that too. That was2:06:57>> so wait. So I want to take So just to2:06:58give you guys a touch of reality, we do2:07:00like at the end of these trips, people2:07:02get a little antsy. Sometimes we argue2:07:04with each other.2:07:05we truly are best friends, but we fight2:07:07and we argue. Like that's part of a2:07:09productive friendship and business2:07:15like having a very serious conversation2:07:17[laughter]2:07:18>> and he's like, "And then this and then2:07:19this and then you blew out your back." I2:07:21mean, threw out your back. He just2:07:22[laughter] just tries to keep going. And2:07:24I'm sitting there like2:07:26>> just lost all aura. Like imagine you're2:07:28super serious and you're just like hey2:07:30like you're chastising you're correcting2:07:32as I do and then like explaining and I'm2:07:35like yeah and you blow out your black2:07:37and I was like2:07:39and I literally had to pause like blow2:07:41out your throw out your back and then I2:07:44said it again. It was it [clears throat]2:07:45came up again and I was like I2:07:47understand that you blow out your back.2:07:48I mean, throughout your back. [laughter]2:07:51And they're such good sports cuz they're2:07:53like, all they did was they put their2:07:55hand up and they go, "Mhm." Mhm.2:07:56[laughter]2:07:57Mhm. Mhm. Yep. Johnny, you're right.2:07:59Okay. Gotcha. I hear you, bro. Like, no.2:08:01Heard. Fair. That's valid. And I'm just2:08:03like,2:08:03>> "STOP LAUGHING." [laughter]2:08:05>> YEAH,2:08:06>> DUDE. The other The other is uh The2:08:08other is like when you're shooting from2:08:09behind. I was like, "I'll get the back2:08:10shot." [laughter]2:08:12>> Our weekend was so full of pause2:08:14moments. We would say something and2:08:15Pastor Israel would just look at me like2:08:17>> Yeah. He's like, "Pause, bro."2:08:20>> Um, wait. There was one more thing about2:08:22Amsterdam that I really liked.2:08:25>> Oh, no. What I didn't like the2:08:27cobblestone roads.2:08:28>> I realized I was like, "That's that's2:08:30why you No, that that no car sick. I2:08:32didn't realize. I was like I was like,2:08:33why am I getting car?" And I didn't2:08:36really know cuz I didn't get that car2:08:38sick in the first car. Yeah. In the2:08:40first car. But then when I took the2:08:41Uber, when I threw up my back, I took2:08:43the Uber. I was like like through the2:08:46city. I was like, "Oh, this is what it2:08:48is. This is why everyone's getting car2:08:50sick. The roads are so bump because I I2:08:53never get car sick." And it literally2:08:55felt like I was like surfing. I was2:08:57like, "What is going on?" I felt like I2:08:58was on a boat in the ocean. I was2:09:00getting like seasick.2:09:01>> Some of the bricks in those roads are2:09:03older than America. Literally.2:09:04>> Wow.2:09:05>> 100%. Yeah.2:09:07>> Yeah. Yeah. Very, very cool.2:09:09>> Basically, they built the city for2:09:10horses and then just like never expanded2:09:12half the streets. It's like that's why2:09:13all those like alleyways we go down,2:09:15those used to just be the main roads.2:09:17>> Dude, it's so weird how they And also,2:09:19they all live in apartments, but then2:09:21they park their car right across from2:09:22the apartment and then you only have a2:09:24one-way cobblestone road and it's one2:09:26direction, but there's cars and bikes2:09:28and humans. I'm like, this is crazy.2:09:30>> It's crazy. It makes you really2:09:32appreciate the roads of America.2:09:33>> Yeah, true.2:09:34>> It's like we If you get in car accidents2:09:36out here, you're just Anyways, that ends2:09:39the episode.2:09:39>> No, no, no. The last thing I want to say2:09:41is one thing I will say is traveling2:09:43though is like there's a lot of great2:09:45things that I liked about certain2:09:46cities, but I'm always so grateful to2:09:48come back to America.2:09:49>> Facts though,2:09:50>> this was the first trip.2:09:51>> Sleep master 30002:09:53>> sleep.2:09:54>> No, I'm just like but I also think about2:09:55like we have more space. You're not2:09:58crammed on top of people in Los Angeles.2:10:00>> I I don't like those things. Like I miss2:10:02being able to just walk downstairs and2:10:04being able to pick from one of 302:10:06restaurants like a foot away from my2:10:07place. [snorts]2:10:08Like here, America prioritizes their2:10:10roads because everything is so far. You2:10:12have to be able to drive from state to2:10:14state. If you drive 30 minutes in2:10:15Europe, you're in a new country. It's2:10:17like these people walk everywhere. They2:10:19take bikes. You go downstairs. There's2:10:20everything. The second I got home, I was2:10:22like, "Let me be European. Where should2:10:23I grab lunch?" I go outside dirty2:10:25alleys, homeless people. I got to walk2:10:27through the trench. I'm crossing a six2:10:28lane street. I'm like, "Bro, it's just2:10:31>> exhausted [laughter] you at the2:10:34restaurant."2:10:35But overall, I was just like I am I I do2:10:38I just think I hit the lottery where I2:10:40ended up like imagine if I was like an2:10:42Asian born in like Alabama,2:10:45>> you know? I would have just been2:10:46bullied. You know what I'm saying?2:10:47>> Yeah. Shout out our parents. Came to the2:10:49right place and everything.2:10:51>> Yeah. I got to be in California in the2:10:53Bay Area where the tech boom happened.2:10:56>> Like2:10:57>> this was one of the first trips where I2:10:58was like, I want to stay longer. I could2:11:00stay longer.2:11:00>> Wow.2:11:01>> I did notice that you were more like2:11:03Yeah. You were happy. Aaron was really2:11:04happy to be out there.2:11:05>> It's a great Aaron is a good travel2:11:07buddy. He had good energy.2:11:09>> Something about Sweden is just prettier2:11:11than like Oakland. [laughter]2:11:13>> No, I'm just kidding.2:11:14>> Something about Amsterdam is just a2:11:16little cooler than Phoenix, Arizona.2:11:18[laughter]2:11:18>> I don't know. We were having a really2:11:19good time out there.2:11:21>> Yeah. No, it was great.2:11:22>> I'm just kidding. I love Phoenix and2:11:23Oakland.2:11:26>> All right. Well, that wraps up this2:11:28episode. And like every episode, we2:11:30always end with the prayer. So, let us2:11:33pray. Father God, thank you so much for2:11:36allowing us to travel, Lord, to be able2:11:38to reach so many souls, even in Europe,2:11:41internationally. We're so thankful that2:11:43you want to blanket the world with the2:11:44gospel. And we partake in that. We just2:11:46sit back and kind of see you in your2:11:48glory and just preach the gospel to2:11:50everybody in their hearts. Allow them to2:11:52to grow and be nurtured as a community2:11:54with us. It's just it's just so2:11:56impactful. We're also thankful, Father2:11:58God, that you allow us this podcast to2:12:01be able to help people to figure out why2:12:03pastors can't be vulnerable, to figure2:12:05out what church uh is truly a gospel-2:12:07centered church, and also to know uh and2:12:10kind of spot the certain teachings that2:12:11are lacking, and not to say that we're2:12:13better than them, but to be able to help2:12:14as a community to then further the2:12:16kingdom. It's such a an amazing um and2:12:19and just beautiful thing that we can do2:12:22for you, Father God. uh you sent Jesus2:12:24to die for all of our sins and for we're2:12:26forever grateful for that Lord. I'm also2:12:28thankful that we have this community2:12:30core of the heart to be able to advance2:12:32the kingdom together. As I look over and2:12:34I see us touching the world, I can see2:12:37that everyone really wants to be gospel2:12:39centered. They don't want to be preached2:12:40that. They want to be taught, Father2:12:41God. And they want to be taught how to2:12:43have a relationship and how to surrender2:12:44to you and be in true obedience with you2:12:46and aligned with you. So for that God,2:12:48we're forever grateful that you allow us2:12:50to be the vessels that you choose to2:12:51present this gospel to the to the rest2:12:53of the world and to everybody here.2:12:55Thank you, Father God. We leave2:12:56everything in your hands. And in Jesus2:12:58name we pray. Amen.2:13:00>> Amen. Like, comment, and subscribe. Wait2:13:02one second before we end. If you're2:13:03still watching, this is like a long2:13:042-hour episode. You are the true real2:13:07audience, and we super value your2:13:09opinion. So, please leave a comment2:13:10about what you liked and didn't like2:13:12about this episode. The podcast is going2:13:14to go through a bunch of changes. We're2:13:15trying to add things, take away things.2:13:17So, please leave a thoughtful,2:13:18meaningful comment about what did you2:13:20truly like about this episode. Be2:13:22honest. What maybe did you not like that2:13:23maybe we can get rid of? And let us know2:13:25how to improve. Thanks so much for2:13:27watching. Kid,2:13:29see you
