Why am I so0:16afraid to step out and fully trust God?0:18Am I a true believer? Um, I don't think0:22it's fear that you trust in God. I mean0:26we know hypothetically trusting in God0:28is important. Um we we trust our0:33micromanaging more than his macro0:35managing. That's the problem, right? We0:40tend to just trust ourselves more than0:43anything. And so the issue is not you0:46can't surrender to God. It's that you0:49still trust in your ability to control0:51things better than God. whether0:53inadvertently, like intentionally, or0:56sometimes even unintentionally, right?0:58There's times where, like, for example,0:59we'll tell a joke and someone will get1:01offended. And it wasn't like you were1:03trying to hurt that person's feelings.1:05You just told the joke cuz you thought1:06it was funny. You thought it would land1:08at that time. And it didn't. It actually1:10hurt the person. In the same way, we're1:13like, "Oh, yeah. I I trust myself cuz1:16I'm always in control of my life. I've1:18been doing things my way for the longest1:20time." And unintentionally we don't1:23realize we're trusting in in self more1:26than right more than God. And so the1:29issue again is never like a surrender1:32problem.1:34The problem is1:37we have a a a control issue and never1:41truly knowing what it actually means to1:44be in control. Right? So I would say a1:48lot of us struggle with that. Right?1:50When you look at the word surrender in1:53Hebrew, it's it it's shalom. S H A L A1:56M. And that sounds familiar if you1:58listen to what it sounds like. Shalam2:01comes from the root word shalom. And2:04shalom means peace. Shalom means to2:07enter into peace. So we're taught that2:10surrender means losing, right? You got2:13to lose something. No, that's not what2:16it is. It means you have to enter. It's2:18not losing, it's entering. So you don't2:20struggle to surrender. You struggle to2:21believe God is safer than your control.2:24That's the problem. Right? So again, the2:26problem is never surrender.2:29It's never trusting in God. It's you2:31trust your control more than his2:33control. Right? So the easiest way to2:36actually trust in God is to realize that2:38you are never in control to begin with2:41and or you're not trustworthy yourself.2:44Like you can't follow yourself2:45basically, right? So the hardest part of2:48surrender and the hardest part of2:50trusting God is not you losing your2:53control or actually trusting him. It's2:55admitting that you never had trust in2:57him and you never had control to begin3:00with. So that's what you're3:01surrendering. You're surrendering.3:03That's what you're entrusting into God3:05is the idea that you're in control and3:08this idea that you can trust yourself.3:10Do you guys understand? That's what3:11surrendering is. It's so much deeper3:13than what people think it is. Right? In3:16Psalm 46:10, be still and know that I am3:19God. Right? This word be still in Hebrew3:22is rafah. It means literally to let go.3:26So what he's saying is not just wait and3:28be still. He's saying let go and know3:31that I am God. What does that mean? We3:33have to know, oh, I'm never in control.3:37That's what makes me let go of the3:38control. Amen. So, why does God allow3:42things in our lives, especially like in3:44in in your past or even your present or3:47even your future to kind of control you,3:49right? He's trying to show us that3:51you're never really in control. If you3:54were in control, you wouldn't be3:55anxious, you wouldn't be depressed, you3:56wouldn't be lonely. Like, you're not in3:58control of those things. So,4:00surrendering is what? Realizing you're4:02never in control. That's what you have4:03to surrender. Oh, this idea that I'm in4:05control makes sense. Not this like, oh,4:09I think trust is like strongly believing4:12in God, right? Like that's what you're4:13saying. Like, I got to strongly believe4:15in God. No, but the word trust in Hebrew4:17is batak, which means to lie helpless on4:21your face. Like you literally have to be4:24helpless. You have to be rendered4:25helpless, right? So people think trust4:29like like trust in the Lord with all4:31your heart. Lean not on your own4:33understanding. Right? In Proverbs 3:5,4:35this word trust is, which literally4:38means lay helpless in front of God. So,4:40what I've learned is you trust the most4:42when you have the least. That's why God4:45says, "I am near to those who are4:47brokenhearted." You have to be broken.4:49You have to be laying helpless on your4:51face. God, I can't do it. That's when4:54trust comes, right? Because trust only4:56comes when you're fallen. When you're4:58doing good, you're not going to trust in4:59God. You're going to trust in yourself,5:00right? So that that's the one thing that5:03people don't understand about trust.5:05They think it's this almighty like5:07because we it's not your fault. We've5:09been ingrained, right? Satan has told us5:12ever since we were young. Churches too5:14have told us, people around us have5:15church, school has told us, you need to5:18do really well. You are strong. You're a5:21man. You're a woman. You need to stand5:2210 toes. You have to place all of your5:25trust in God. You have to work really5:27hard. It's like you have to be almighty5:28and powerful.5:30No, no, no, no. Right. Be trust comes5:34when you're helpless. That's when you5:36can re receive help. That's when you5:39need him. Right. Like I said, you trust5:41the most, when you have the least.5:43That's how all of us came to trust God5:45was not when we were abundant, but when5:47we were literally broken, when we5:49literally had nothing in our lives, when5:51we were literally rock bottom. That's5:53what trust is. Understand what I'm5:55saying? So, we have to un That's why I5:57call it the unlearned wisdom podcast. We5:59have to genuinely unlearn a lot of6:01things that we've been taught. We've6:02been spoonfed straight up halftruths and6:06lies, things that make sense, right? But6:08are not really true. Understand what I'm6:11saying, right? So, that kind of should6:13answer everybody's question, but I'm6:14going to keep going down here, right?6:17Okay. All right. Uh my husband and I6:20wanted to leave it up to God for how6:22many uh children we should have and not6:24try to put our hand in it to get a6:27vasectomy that's not having kids. Now6:29we're on our fourth baby and losing our6:30home. We can barely afford rentals. I'm6:33wondering about it if we're being6:34responsible. Yeah. Don't don't have more6:36kids if that's the case. Right. That's6:38the sign. If you're having children and6:40you're losing your home and they're6:42literally eating you out house out of6:44home, that's an indicator. Amen. So6:48yeah, these are things that you know,6:50you tried and God's like, "Hey, you6:52can't afford it. There are limits to us,6:54not to him, of course, but to us." And6:56so it's okay. You you don't have to get6:58a vasectomy, but you have to be more7:01responsible about even when it comes to7:03the physical intimacy side, right? You7:07just have to, right? And and both of you7:09guys have to really sit there and7:10actually7:12um you know, speak. Amen. So yeah, it's7:15just very important to kind of7:16understand that not every single thing7:21is like, well, God allowed it, so then7:23that must be from God. No, sometimes,7:25like I said, God would would allow7:26things for you to show you because7:28that's the way we learn things is we're7:30shown certain things, right? Um through7:34God to break our limits, to remain7:36helpless, which will then turn us back7:38to God. And these are really really7:40beautiful things actually that we need.7:43Um difference of walking in faith and7:45knowing if something is meant for you.7:48Um if you're walking or waiting to know7:53if something is meant for you, then7:55you're not walking by faith anymore.7:57Right? So a lot of the times this7:59question stems from a couple heart8:01postures. Number one, this heart posture8:03of I just want to know if this is from8:04God. Number two is I feel like this is8:07from God and this is aligned with God.8:09Or number three, it's like there's no8:11doubt at all that this is from God. So8:15that's what they call and that's like8:17their I guess parameters of like that's8:19what's meant for me. But that's not8:21faith. Faith never starts with8:23certainty. Faith actually starts8:26opposite of certainty. When certainty8:28ends, that's when faith begins. Because8:312 Corinthians 5:7 says, "For we walk by8:34faith, not by sight." So what does that8:36mean? You're not always going to feel8:37secure. You're definitely not always8:40going to feel peaceful. You're8:42definitely not always going to have8:43confirmation because if you did, then8:46why do you need faith? Right? It's like8:49it's like you you wouldn't need faith if8:52you understood, oh, this is for me for8:54sure, right? So, I would to answer your8:58question, walking in faith and knowing9:01if something is meant for you are two9:03different things. They're polar9:04opposites. If you know something is for9:07you, that's not by faith, right? Uh9:10meant for me thinking is usually very,9:13how do I say, it can be dangerous. Why?9:15Because it comes from feelings, comes9:17from circumstances. It comes from9:20something that aligns with what you9:22think aligns with God. Right? I could9:23think that something aligns with God,9:25like keeping the commandments, but9:26that's not what aligns with God, right?9:28So it's that's the danger of like9:30feeling something or like aligning with9:33something with you being the filter or9:35you being the mediator of what you think9:37aligns with God. Right? So again, if9:40something feels good, usually people9:42think, "Oh, that's meant for me." Yeah,9:43but drugs feel good, too, right? Sex9:46feels good, too, right? Does that mean9:49it's meant for me? Like I can just do9:51that if I want to? Like no, it's meant9:52it feels great. Like no, making money9:54feels good, but the love of money is the9:57root of all evil, right? So again, when9:59we we have to kind of step out of that10:01mindset, right? So a lot of things, in10:03fact, I would argue when you read the10:05Bible as much as I have, the things that10:07are that don't feel easy, that don't10:09feel natural, that don't feel, you know,10:10peaceful or comfortable are actually the10:12things that God has aligned for you.10:15When you look at the Bible, Paul, Saul10:17turning into Paul, Solomon, King David,10:21you know, God's like, I'm going to give10:22you the kingdom. And then very next day,10:24he's on the run and and cave hopping and10:26writing psalms. people are trying to10:27kill him. Like, wait, you just promised10:29me that I'm going to have the kingdom,10:30God. Why am I running from King Saul,10:32who I saved, by the way, and all the10:34from the Philistines and all of the10:35Israelites. Well, that's what God does,10:39right? Right. Just because something10:41feels right doesn't mean it's from God.10:43I would actually argue that something10:44that feels right, you have to be10:45cautious about. Unless it's gospel-10:47centered, then it's different, right?10:49Oh, this gospel is right. Okay. So, so10:52the question should never be, is this10:54meant for me? But does this align with10:57God's truth and not my interpretation of10:59God's truth, but God's actual truth.11:01Does it lead to his word? Does it lead11:03to alignment with Jesus Christ? Not just11:05my feelings and my interpretation. So,11:07walking in faith is always based off of11:10I'm going to move according to what God11:12said and his word, right? That that's11:15the difference between knowing what's11:16meant for me. Because if you know what's11:18meant for me, then you're going to move11:19based off of what you think is meant for11:21you, what you feel. There's a bias and11:23we're just naturally like that, right?11:25So a lot of the times uh when people ask11:27these types of questions, it's not a bad11:29question. What we want underlying is11:31just reassurance. The reassurance of11:34like I'm safe, I'm in control, you know,11:37I I God hears me. I'm in alignment with11:39God. But you know what's beautiful about11:41faith? It removes control. The one thing11:45about faith is that you have to give up11:48your control back to God. Literally11:50removes control. So that's that's why11:53it's so difficult for us to have because11:56we genuinely want want control. You guys11:59understand what I'm saying? So yeah,12:00that's that's the the one thing about12:02faith, right? You have to remove control12:05and you have to replace that control12:07with trust. That's that's the hard part,12:10right? That's the thing about faith is12:12it removes control and you got to12:14replace that control with trust. Trust12:16in in God now. Okay, God, I I want to12:19control this, but I know you're in12:20control. that surrender. [snorts] Yeah,12:22I I I feel this type of way and I want12:24this type of this relationship, but go12:25Lord, you have to take care of that. I12:27trust you with it. So instead of, you12:29know, is this meant for me, you now have12:31to be like, okay, does this align with12:33you, God? Am I trusting you or am I12:36trusting myself? Like that's the number12:38one thing. Understand what I'm saying?12:40And and I would argue most people did12:43not feel 100% with God. That's the12:46problem. Most people, you know, they12:50want to feel 100% with God before they12:53even move. But everywhere in the Bible12:56has always been you move even when you12:59don't feel 100%. And I will I if you13:02move even on 10%, I'll carry you 90% of13:04the way. If you move 1%, I'll carry you13:0799%. Like he it's it's it's so13:10different, right? So many people are13:13like, I need to know 100%.13:16And then like, "Yes, God, I will move."13:18Well, then you don't need faith in13:20anyone can. Atheists can move like that.13:22Hey, your business is for sure going to13:24make a million dollars. Okay, shoot. Why13:25wouldn't I? You just need to take out13:26$100,000. Okay, I'll take you out13:28$100,000. Like, right. I don't need to13:30seek God for that. I'll just I it's, you13:32know, I do this, I put in this work, I13:34receive this blessing. No, then that's13:36not a that's not a relationship. That's13:38a transaction. Do you guys understand13:40what I'm saying? And faith is so13:42important to God because faith rests13:44solely on trust and surrender. In order13:47to have faith in God, you must surrender13:49two things. Your control and you have to13:53surrender your belief in yourself. Those13:55are two things you have to give to God13:57in order for him to actually work.13:59Right? Amen. It's like gas, right? You14:01got to pump gas, you know, in a car.14:04Unless it's electrical, then you have to14:06plug it in. But either way, it either14:08needs electricity or it needs gas. But14:11imagine you're trying to fuel your car14:13with, I don't know, you know, olive oil.14:17It's just impossible. Or you try to fuel14:19it with, you know, orange juice. Like14:22that's what a lot of us try to do in14:23front of God is like, "Hey, I have14:25orange juice. Gasoline I don't have, but14:28I'm going to can I give you orange14:30juice?" And he's like, "I I can't run14:31off of that." Fuel is like the connector14:34for for God. Uh, faith is is like the14:36fuel, I'm sorry, for God. You You guys14:39understand what I'm saying? Right.14:41Right. I'm finally bringing after14:43service to Europe this June. After14:46service is a free live event where14:47you're going to get a sermon from me, a14:49live Q&A, a meet and greet, and14:52basically we're bringing the online14:53community offline for you guys to come14:55and fellowship. I'm coming to Stockholm,14:57Sweden June 4th, which is a Thursday.15:00And we're hitting also Amsterdam, which15:02is Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June15:047th. For times, locations, and details,15:07RSVP through email. Link in the15:09description. I'm super excited to see15:11you guys there. Pack it out. Tell your15:13friends. Let's go. All right. Okay. Uh,15:16hey pastor, can you explain Matthew15:1825:35? I'm a little confused about what15:20Jesus means when he says these things15:23will happen in your generation. Uh,15:26that's the one that says, uh, wait 25:3515:31these things. That's not what it says.15:35Um, are you talking about Matthew 24?15:40That's where the verse is. I think it's15:4132 or 34.15:44Yeah. You mean this generation shall not15:46pass? Okay. So when you're speaking15:50about Matthew 24:3415:55um Matthew yeah verily I say unto you15:58this generation shall not pass till all16:00these things be fulfilled right that's16:02the one so um I think you're you're16:06you're you're kind of focusing a little16:08bit too much on the generation shall not16:10pass thing um he actually you know we16:14have to read the whole context what what16:16does Matthew 24 talk about destruction.16:18It talks about judgment. It talks about,16:21you know, the the thing that he's16:23pointing to, right, is this generational16:27person, not a time period, but these16:30people who are under judgment, who are16:32under destruction. So, it's a type of16:33people. It's like a group of people, if16:35you will, right? So, when someone says16:37like like scripture will say a wicked16:39and adulterous generation, doesn't mean16:41like it's talking about people, not16:44specifically a time frame. So, you can't16:46think about it like that. If you are and16:49what you have to understand is this16:52world is broken. It's unstable. And you16:55have to, you know, understand that he's16:59going to fulfill17:01whatever happens before all of those17:04things uh pass away. Yeah. Basically,17:08he's going to be the one that takes care17:10of the word, preaches the gospel, saves17:12the souls, and then the generation will17:14pass will pass away. And that's true17:16because we all have to die. At the end17:18of the day, there's an end to the world,17:20right? Amen. All right. What's up, bro?17:23When uh Jeremiah 17 says, "He heart is17:26deceitful, how then do we go out into17:28the world and trust people and build17:30relationships?" Um, you don't trust17:32people. You trust you entrust people to17:34God. What I mean by that is you you sit17:37there and you go, "Hey, I know that this17:38person has it in him to have this heart17:42to do everything the Bible has said. He17:44can be a snake." And every one of us,17:46you you guys may think that you don't17:48have that in you, but you do. Uh because17:50in we inherited it from from Adam. We17:53all can be like Cain killing our17:55brothers and sisters, whether physically17:57or emotionally, mentally, or even in our17:58hearts. We we've done it. We've done it18:00before. Our own parents, right? So, we18:02all have that in us. The one thing you18:04have to realize is that that's in18:06everybody, especially people who aren't18:08saved and even in people who are saved,18:11right? Because it's just, you know, part18:12of our nature, right? We if someone18:14wrongs us the first thought we have is18:16always like trying to fight. The second18:18thing is when you ask this question it's18:19a good question but it's also you trying18:21to protect yourself right? So when18:24you're trying to protect yourself you're18:25again trying to trust in your ability to18:28build relationships with people and make18:30them trustworthy based off of your own18:32discernment. Well discernment comes from18:34the word right? The Bible says in18:36Hebrews 4:12 discernment comes from the18:38word. And so we have to be able to trust18:41the word and what it says about people.18:43So the reason why, for example, we can't18:47really see ourselves is because we don't18:50really trust the word. Do you guys18:52understand what I'm saying, brothers and18:54sisters? Right? Um it's it's just18:57difficult, right, for a lot of people to19:00be able to see that about themselves,19:02right? So you have to be able to go, I19:05need to know the word at the end of the19:07day, right? Amen. That's what we have to19:10come down to. And so, brother, when you19:13focus on that, then you realize a few19:16things like, "Oh, I'm not a person that19:18can trust other people and I shouldn't.19:21I have to trust the word and what it19:23says." So, people who don't see19:24themselves accurately, it's because they19:26don't see the word accurately. Like, the19:29Bible says that we're born evil. But if19:32you don't trust the Bible or you don't19:33even know those verses, you're not going19:35to think you're born evil. You're going19:36to think, "Yeah, I'm born flawed, but I19:38don't I'm not an enemy to God. I love19:40God." Which again is very difficult19:43because the Bible literally says you're19:44born as an enemy. You're born into sin,19:47right? And King David, a man after God's19:50own heart, says this in Psalm 51:5,19:53right? I was shapen in iniquity and in19:55my sin did my mother conceive me. I was19:57born a sinner. He even says babies,19:59right, from the age of, you know, from20:01the from from when they're born in the20:02womb, it says, not even born yet, Psalm20:0558:3,20:06that they go about speaking lies as soon20:09as they're born. It's like, what? They20:10don't even speak though. So when your20:12logic, you know, starts to begin, your20:16faith will end. Like you can't20:17understand that. If a baby doesn't even20:19speak, how is he a liar? Well, he's born20:21a liar. That's what God is saying. He20:23doesn't have to speak. So let's say a20:25liar doesn't speak. Does that mean he's20:27not a liar? A narcissist doesn't act20:30like a narcissist, but internally20:31they're a narcissist. Right? A dog that20:33doesn't bark is that does that mean he's20:35not a dog? Right? You guys understand20:37what I'm saying? It's part of us. It's20:39inherited, right? And so this is what20:41people struggle with. They go, "Well, if20:44I don't lie, if I don't if I don't act20:45like that, then I'm not like that." It's20:47like, "No, not necessarily." Okay, so if20:49I don't use chopsticks and I don't I20:50don't eat rice, then I'm not Asian20:52anymore. Is that that's I'm not Chinese20:54anymore. Like, no. Like, do you guys20:56understand what I'm saying? Right? So, a20:59lot of people don't realize those21:01things, right? They focus so much on,21:04well, this is what it says, and they21:05don't know. So, how going back to your21:07point, not to go too much on a tangent,21:10but in order to trust somebody and build21:12a relationship, worldly relationship,21:15you have to first look at it from a21:17spiritual standpoint. Like when I21:19started the company with Aaron and21:20Jeremy, I know that they may have their21:24own motives and their own opportunities21:27and their own, you know, they they they21:29want to make money and they want to do21:30those things. Is that wrong? No. That's21:33part of what they are. Now imagine if I21:35was like, "These guys care about me.21:38They respect me. They love me so much."21:40Which they do, right? And they'll never21:42turn on me. Like how do I know that?21:45They may. So I don't trust in them. I21:48trust that God won't allow that to21:50happen. And if he does, he'll have a21:51reason behind it and it will either be a21:53lesson or a blessing. Do you guys21:55understand what I'm saying? Right? So So21:58in the same way, bro, you go and you22:00meet with people and you go, "Okay, I22:02have a fur restaurant. you know, I'm I'm22:03going to teach and and and and you know,22:05whatever it is, we're going to work22:07together. We're going to collaborate.22:09But right then, you have to go to God.22:11You have to go, "Father God, whoever you22:13bring in my life, either teach it as a22:15lesson or a blessing, right? Lord,22:19whatever you do, you're going to teach22:21me something out of this, right?" So, I22:23went with that heart, too. Is is Jeremy22:26going to just use me? If he does, well,22:28you have to deal with that, God, because22:31I can't, you know, outwit him. I can't22:33see him. I can't see his alter. But you22:35can. So, so you know, you notice how you22:37unplug from people now and you plug into22:39the word and that actually makes you22:41seek God. You know, I I you you guys22:43think I can micromanage people, but I22:45have 36 people in my team, 37 now, I22:48think. you know, I can't be with them22:50all the time, you know, and and always22:52care about them and and and make sure22:54that their needs are fulfilled and22:56[snorts] right, they think I'm a good22:58leader, but I think I'm a trash leader,23:00honestly. But what do I do really well23:02is I go, "Hey, God, you that's not my23:05child. This is not my team. Core of the23:06heart is not mine. It's yours. You I I23:10could never ever ever ever even change23:13one person's heart." Like, what do you23:16want me to do? What can I do? nothing.23:19That's that's what I'm really graced23:21with is to know that dang, you can't23:22really do anything. And that's the23:24that's the thing, right? Once I realize23:26I can't do anything, then everything has23:29to be led in God's hands. All I can do23:31is pray. All I can do is hope and all I23:34can do is have faith. So when things go23:36wrong, let's say something happens23:38tomorrow and the whole core of the heart23:39crumbles. Well, that I don't see it as,23:42oh, I failed. Do you know what I'll see23:43it as? Okay, God, you you didn't want23:45that. And that's okay. If you didn't23:48want it, you have your reasoning behind23:50it. And if you have your reasoning23:51behind it, then that's what it is. Amen.23:54That's what it is. Like, I I don't I23:56can't stop you. You You know what's23:58better than me? I mean, I've tried I've24:00tried to pick my women and pick my24:02battles and pick my life and and how did24:05that work out? I got shot. I got24:07stabbed. I shot people. I I stabbed24:09people. I went to prison. I was a24:11monster. I was a straight dog. I was24:12sleeping around. I was doing drugs. I24:14was You know what I'm saying? like I I I24:16what am I what do I have to say about24:18myself? I can't do nothing for myself24:20respectfully, right? And that's the24:23struggle with people. It's not even that24:25you don't trust God. It's just very24:27difficult, right? Because we we end up24:30trusting ourselves again. Even me too,24:33right? This morning when I woke up too,24:35I was just like having the heart to24:37trust myself. Ah, I don't want to do24:39these devotionals. You know, people are24:42like not even thankful for it. Right?24:44These are my thoughts. I pour my heart24:46into these things. You know, people24:48think it's chachi PT. It's like, dude,24:50I'm literally like hella pouring my24:53heart into these things, you know? I'm24:55genuinely, you know, putting my bars24:57into it. Really, really like trying, you25:00know, and like, you know, people don't25:03care or like people will sit there and25:05be like, "Oh, this is the word of God.25:06It should be free." And I'm just like,25:08"Dude." But then I sat back and I25:10thought about it. You know, it was25:11almost like God was speaking to me,25:13right, Johnny? What can you do? You25:16can't even change a person's heart25:17posture. Look at you. It's true. You25:20can't make somebody appreciate you. You25:22know, that came to my heart heavily25:24today, right? You can't make people25:26appreciate you. And the ones who do25:28appreciate you, I made them appreciate25:31you, right? And I'm like, huh? Amen. Did25:35Did I make you guys? No. God made you25:37appreciate. Amen. And so what I25:40recognized was, "Oh, God." See, even25:43these thoughts come to me, but Lord, I25:45come to you. You know, when you guys25:48have thoughts, you go back inward. No,25:50you got to go outward. You got to go to25:51God. Right? And I really, really love25:54the fact that God allows me to also25:56think this again, graced by him, right?26:00But the issue is we we we have it's kind26:02of like that that crooked like if you26:04have like a you know, deviation in your26:06body, right? If your if your knee is out26:08of alignment, you're going to have, you26:10know, you're going to walk more towards26:12the left or towards wherever the knee is26:14out of alignment with. If your spine is26:16out of alignment, you're going to lean a26:18little bit to the part where it's26:19deviated. In the same way, our hearts26:21are always deviated. And we constantly26:23need God to kind of correct that inside26:26of us. So, when you realize you're26:28deviating, you the the issue is not to26:30get mad. The issue is to go back to God26:33and have him align you, right? And so26:36this is kind of what I've I've been able26:38to learn over all of my years. It took26:40many many years just to learn this one26:42little thing of you can't correct26:44yourself. That's why I'm here, right?26:47It's just that's why I have to help you,26:49Johnny. And so yeah, it's it's like26:51that, you know, for the mountain of26:54people that know the for the speck of26:56people that don't appreciate, oh, you26:58know, I can't do this, I can't do that,27:01you know, this is too expensive, yada27:03yada yada, right? whatever their excuses27:05are, right? There is a mountain of27:08people who are willing to really value27:11and cherish. You know, Jeremy27:14screenshotted a like a I think it was27:17like a negative review on our app,27:22right? It it's like one of like very27:23very few like one of five or something27:25out of like 2,900 3,000. It was like27:27five of them which is pretty crazy. And27:29it was like a guy who had two he had two27:31star he gave us two stars and what he27:34said was like verbatim you know I don't27:36know why you guys are putting gospel27:38things behind a pay wall right these27:40things should be free so the issue is27:43not even that the app was bad it was27:45basically I'm going to give it a bad27:47review because I don't agree and I want27:49things free but imagine those people's27:52heart postures brothers and sisters27:54they're not even thankful for the word27:56understand what I'm saying the free27:57content we have on there from the Bible27:59Bible to the gospel bot to the28:00notetaking to the devotionals is all28:02such a blessing. But what is the heart28:04posture? It should be like that. It's28:05the word of God. Really? Why don't you28:08ask the people in Congo who are getting28:10their heads chopped off for even saying28:12Jesus? It should be. Why don't you think28:15about all the people who in China are28:18literally getting kidnapped because they28:20can't speak about Jesus? Really, it's28:22free. It should be. People never think28:25like that. what they think of is like28:27this is the word of God and I deserve it28:28and I that has to be it's like and you28:30can open your Bible and read but you get28:33you're you're on our app for a reason28:35because you can't do it like that you28:36don't got it like that respectfully a28:38lot of us have to realize that about28:39ourselves we don't got it like that we28:41read the Bible we can't even comprehend28:43what numbers is saying28:46understand what I'm saying we don't even28:47put in the word to learn the Hebrew or28:48Aramaic we think we do amen right so28:52people are very their heart is is they28:55cannot see themselves. What I love about28:57you guys is you guys don't do that. The28:59majority of you guys don't. Jeremy's29:02such a such a savage. He's gangster. I29:03love him. I love him to death. He goes,29:05"What I want to see is for them to send29:06me their 2025 tax return. If they want29:09any type of financial assistance, send29:12me their 2025 tax return and send me29:14their last 3 months of what they spent29:17their money on. If I see Netflix, if I29:18see Starbucks, if I see any other29:20subscription on there, I'm literally29:23denying them. [laughter]29:25understand what I'm saying? So, you mean29:27to tell me you're willing to pay 2029:29bucks, 30 bucks, whatever, 40 bucks,29:31whatever a month for a gym membership29:33and you won't invest in your spiritual29:35life like you do in your physical life,29:37right? It's like it's it's true though.29:40It's so true. Like, it's backwards. You29:43get what I'm saying? So, I was like, we29:46don't got to do all that. And he's29:47kidding obviously, but at the end of the29:49day, you can see people's heart posture29:51solely off of that. You know, everyone29:54who wants things free, right, would29:57never never, how do I say, would never30:00appreciate things that are paid for.30:02Like, if you only want things for free,30:04you're never going to appreciate. You30:05know why? Cuz the gospel is free and30:07they still don't appreciate it. Nobody30:09told me that faith would be this lonely.30:11I thought when I gave my life to God,30:12everything would just click. Community,30:14peace, direction. A lot of us are out30:16here just trying to figure it out alone.30:18Your family thinks it's a phase. You go30:20to church on Sunday, you're smiling, and30:21then on Monday, reality hits and you're30:24back alone in your home in your30:26thoughts. I know exactly what that's30:28like. I got out of prison at the age of30:2925. I didn't have a church home. I30:31didn't have friends. I didn't even30:32really have family to back me up. I had30:34God. I had a Bible. But more importantly30:37than anything, I had a pastor who I30:39could lean on to ask questions and to30:40just receive mentorship and have30:42fellowship with. And the thing that30:43changed everything for me wasn't just30:45studying alone. It was actually having30:47someone I could bring my real questions30:48to. Not the Sunday school questions, the30:51real ones, the ones that keep you up at30:53night, the ones that make you feel30:54unworthy because you can't figure it out30:56on your own. Therefore, you feel as if30:58you're less of a Christian. That's why30:59every single Saturday at 10 a.m. Pacific31:01Standard Time, I go live inside the Core31:03of the Heart daily app. First, we do a31:05full Bible class, real teaching, not31:07that surface level stuff. We go super31:09deep. Then, we open it up group31:11mentorship. You bring your real31:13questions, not the polished ones. And I31:15answer them with scriptures and honesty31:16based off of real struggles that I went31:18through in my life. You were never31:20supposed to do this alone. And now you31:21don't have to. Bible class every31:23Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard31:24Time. Can't wait to see you guys there.31:26Do you guys know why I tithe money to31:28the to the church? It's not because they31:30raised me. It's because how precious is31:33this gospel that I want to give my money31:35back to God genuinely,31:37right? I want pastor to have the same31:41because there's so many core of the31:42heart members at the church by the way31:43because of me genuinely I want them to31:46get more of the on the back end we're31:49funding all of these projects for you31:52guys to do taste of Korea things like31:53that where do you think we have the31:55money to do those things it comes from31:56our donations because I'm also p pouring31:59the money back into you guys who come to32:01the church people don't realize that and32:02I don't talk about stuff like this but32:04why do I do that guys you don't I'm32:07Chinese. Do you understand how cheap we32:09are? You Mexicos, you guys know you guys32:11know how cheap the chinitos are. That's32:14the one thing you guys you guys complain32:16about.32:18You know, you like super super super32:21cheap, right? You guys know, don't we we32:24know chino, right? We know that song.32:29Understand? We know that song too,32:33right? Understand what I'm saying? So,32:36right. It's it's but it's true to every32:39kind of joke and stereotype. There's32:40always a little bit of truth. Balabra,32:42right? There's always some kind of truth32:44to it. Understand what I'm saying? So in32:47this way, we know and it's true. Asians32:50are all money in, no money out. That's32:52just the real most Asians, especially32:54the the the immigrant Asians, right?32:57They're like, "My dad, you know, tried32:59to bargain at Home Depot one time. He33:02was trying to buy a power drill. The33:03power drill was like $89.99. He's like33:0635 a dollar. Like what? Dad, you can't33:09do that. Dad, this ain't eBay, bro. You33:11can't bid. You know it's a 35. Okay,33:13these are broken. Brock Boach, he's33:15saying box. He's like box broken. Box33:18broken is crazy. Broken box and you get33:20what? $50 off is crazy, bro. What kind33:23of freaking The math ain't mad and we're33:24good at math. He just wanted it for33:26cheap. I've seen my dad literally go to33:29places where he like made my brother33:31angry, right? My brother was trying to33:33buy a car. He was trying to buy a33:34Mercer, a Mercedes-Benz one time, right?33:36When he got out of prison, we're trying33:38to get him one. My dad goes, he's like,33:40"Let me handle this." He goes to one of33:42those like little mini dealerships,33:43right? Those those uh uh how do I say33:46those independent dealerships, not like,33:47you know, a big old, you know, Toyota.33:49It's just a small little one, right? And33:52he's like, the car I think was like33:5527,000,33:56something like that. And my dad was like34:0015,000. [laughter]34:02He just went up to him. And he's like,34:04"Today, out of the door, out of the34:06door, out the door. 15,000 pivot cash34:11today. Out at the door." And the guy the34:12the the guy, he was Armenian. I was34:15like, Armenians are the same as us, too.34:17Armenians, Indians, chinitos, we're all34:20the same, bro. Brother, brother, is34:22there something wrong with car, brother?34:25Brother, what's wrong with car? Why you?34:28Why? Why, brother? You do this one,34:30brother. this price. No, cannot do it34:32anywhere. Cannot. And my dad's like,34:34"Okay, okay, okay, okay. 17,000. 70,00034:37is crazy." You added 2 G's on top of34:39that. So, you're still taking 10 G's off34:41the price, right? That's us. That's how34:43we handle things. So, why I'm saying all34:45of this? I'm from that line. I'm cut34:48from that like father like son. You34:51understand what I'm saying? You think34:52I'm going to give thousands of dollars34:54to the church? You got me completely34:56messed up. Understand what I'm saying?34:58No, he didn't get the car. He got the34:59boot. My dad went to a car dealership35:01and bought boots,35:04right? Straight up. And so for me, I'm35:08like, and my brother was like, "Man,35:10dad, why you do that, man?" He's like35:12screaming at him, you know? He's like,35:14"I'm trying to help you out, bro. You're35:15going to be happy when you got extra 1035:17G's in your pocket." Like, I understand35:19the, you know, the the the the stuff,35:22right? The the logic behind it. But what35:24I'm saying is like we are like that. Why35:26would I of all people do that? I'm35:29cheap. Yo, I'm the type of dude who's35:32like I'll look for gas prices before and35:35I'll be like, "All right, this thing is35:37like five cents cheaper." Even if it35:39It's so stupid logic. I'm driving a35:41whole three more miles to find a 5 cent35:45cheap. I already wasted that money by35:46driving those. You understand what I'm35:48saying? That's me. I'm Juanito the35:51Chinito who's super cheapo, right?35:53There's that. What else would I do? I35:55would do stupid things. I would wait all35:57day idling the car. Yeah. in Costco or35:59like Sam's Club just to get 10 cents36:02off, which if you really think about it,36:04you say what? $2, $3 maybe.36:08Understand? Like, what the heck is wrong36:10with me? I would search literally hours,36:13right? I would I would for like a36:16mechanic who would do a oil change for36:19like $30 cheaper than like $20, right?36:23It's like, bro, just the four hours that36:26you did searching, you could have put36:28into like just working and you probably36:31would have made like quadruple that,36:32right? It's like, what are you do? Like,36:34but this is our logic. So, imagine that36:37type of person who I am, right? To then36:40sit there and go and donate a lot of36:43money to the church. Why though? Because36:45those who receive can give. Those who36:48never truly receive can never give. Do36:51you guys understand what I'm not talking36:52about app? Forget the app. Don't36:54download the app. I'm saying in your36:56heart, if you're not even thankful that36:59God has given you the gospel, what are37:01you truly thankful for? Because God has37:03given you the greatest thing and most37:06precious, most valuable, most priceless37:08thing in the world. And we're still37:09like, nah, it's cool. That shows a lot37:12about you guys for free, by the way. Do37:15you understand what I'm saying? Right?37:17So, this is not to hurt you, condemn37:19you. It's not even to convict you. It's37:21for us to see deeply. Wow. I'm a person37:24who if I have this heart posture, what37:27truly can make me happy. I would say37:30nothing. And that's why nothing makes37:31you happy. It's because we don't know37:34how to be thankful. Amen. Brothers and37:36sisters, I'm not saying you guys. I37:37think you guys are amazing cuz you guys37:38are here and you listen. You at least37:40have me to be able to help you organize37:42your hearts a little bit and go, "Wow, I37:44never even seen that perspective." Right37:46guys? Oh, I never even seen it like37:47that. You know, some people get live37:49their whole lives not even seeing37:51perspectives like this. Understand?37:53Today I was having a conversation with37:54Jeremy, man. And I love to see the level37:56ups in him. And he said one thing, man,37:59God has really given me so much grace,38:01Johnny. I said, why? He said, I've been38:03having issues with my bladder. I've been38:04having issues with just a lot of things.38:07But when I look at my friends, I am not38:08struggling like them. For me to not be,38:11you know, he had a friend who was super38:13addicted to lust and, you know, like a38:15lot of us are. He doesn't struggle with38:17that. That's grace, right? He's like, if38:20I want to do something and I put my mind38:22to it, I don't struggle with discipline,38:23like I'm very disciplined. That's all38:25from God. I told him, he said, "Amen."38:27And I used to think that was from me.38:29Such a level up, right? So, yes, he has38:32his problems. Yes, there's things that38:33he struggles with. But those things he's38:35able to see like in his struggle, it's38:37genuinely not as bad as like what other38:40people are going through. Amen, brothers38:42and sisters. And so in this way truly38:45gratitude affects your attitude. Right?38:47I had to learn that in Liberia, Africa.38:49I had to learn that these kids although38:51they have nothing are so much happier,38:54so much grateful, and so much more38:56peaceful than I am. I have running38:58water. They don't even have running38:59water. I have a toilet that has plumbing39:03and I have tissue paper. I have these39:06things. They don't even have that. They39:08have to dig a hole in the ground. They39:10have water that not only isn't running,39:12it comes from a well. So if an animal39:14dies in there or something, the well is39:16completely and they still have to drink39:17it. So they get sick. Like we don't ever39:21have to worry about that. We have first39:23world problems. They have third world39:24problems. I was able to go, man, they39:26have all these problems and they're39:29everything. They dance, they laugh, they39:31cry, they cheer, there's no stress.39:34They're tracing my tattoos. They're39:37hugging me. They love me. At that time,39:39I didn't have this many tattoos, you39:40know, only a couple bangers and stuff.39:42And they were still like, "Wow, the39:43little kids super cute." When I'm39:46leaving, they're like crying because39:47they don't want me to leave because they39:49built such a strong connection with me39:50in my heart. And then their hearts when39:53I preach the gospel, there is no like,39:54"That's stupid. That doesn't even make39:56sense. What are you talking about?39:56Baptism is needed." But there's none of39:58that. It's, "Wow, I didn't know about40:01this Jesus. I mean, I heard about him. I40:03thought they were just like colonizing40:04us. Oh, is that what Jesus did? Oh my40:07god, he died for our sins." Yeah, I am a40:09bad person. I do have understand like40:12there is no like debating. People would40:15kill to just be able to hear the word.40:18People would kill just to have a Bible40:20app. Even if it's the free version,40:21they'd be happy for it. But people, they40:23have this heart of like whatever, dude.40:26You know, this heart, I'm just saying it40:28for for anyone here who has that heart.40:31You will be really miserable if you40:33don't have the heart to be thankful.40:35Understand, brothers and sisters, right?40:37If you're only here for community and40:40you're not here to learn the heart40:41posture, you will leave the community.40:43Even if you're in here for years, right?40:46We have to learn the heart posture. What40:48is it that we're going to gain? You40:50know, when you work out, you don't go to40:52the gym and go and give it like just40:54half of your, you know, like and if you40:56are doing that, don't even go to the40:58gym. You're wasting your time. If you go41:00there, you go to like tax your muscle.41:02You go to really get a workout, right?41:04In the same way, this is a spiritual41:06gym. You come in here, you give it your41:09all, you learn, and you grow for who?41:12Yourself.41:14People who get fat, people who, you41:16know, things like that in the gym, they41:18can't blame the gym, right? They have to41:20blame themselves, right? In the same41:22way, if we don't grow in here, we only41:24have ourselves to blame respectfully.41:27Do you guys understand what I'm saying?41:29Everything here is spit is is so so41:32clear. You guys understand what I'm41:34saying, right? I'm not spiritually41:36shaming you guys. I'm not fat shaming41:38you guys. I'm just being honest with41:39you, right? Until we realize that we can41:42we we have to stop making excuses for41:45for the enemy. We don't even make41:46excuses for ourselves. Understand what41:48I'm saying? We're making excuses for the41:51enemy thinking that that's ourselves.41:52Sheesh. That's the deception. We back up41:55Satan so much in our everyday life and41:59we don't even realize it. That's why42:01he's a master deceiver. We fight for42:03things that Satan planted in us either42:07today or years ago. We fight to maintain42:10that. Essentially, we are defending42:13instead of uprooting the things that42:15Satan planted in us. Do you guys42:17understand how backwards that is? That's42:19wild, isn't it? When you think about it42:21from that perspective. We hate Satan and42:24yet every single day he's like, "Oh, you42:26do? Then why are you defending me?" And42:29that's what he he's laughing at us. I42:31picture Satan laughing at me. Isn't that42:34crazy? I picture him laughing at me42:38like, "Bro, you think you're you're42:39defending me, bro? Every feeling you42:42feel is from me, you know, and you're42:44defending that, man. Good job, bro. You42:46call yourself a minister? You call42:47yourself a pastor? Sure, buddy.42:50You You Who you fooling? Yourself?"42:52Right? In this way, I'm able to see42:54like, man, I if anybody ever came up to42:57you guys and they deceived you and they42:59twisted you up and they lied to you and43:02they made you hate people and they made43:03you lust and and you saw them43:05physically, would you not at the very43:06least curse them out or beat them up or43:09at least reject them? Shoot, I know I43:10would beat them. I would beat the brakes43:12off of these people. And yet, every day43:15we let Satan just do that to us. Free43:17reign. Go ahead, do whatever you want.43:19It's kind of crazy, huh? When you think43:21about it in that way, then you're able43:24to go,43:25I really can't do anything. I I need43:27God. I can't even see this. Amen. The43:31next time you feel like you're being43:33deceived, you have to think that man is43:34deceiving you. And he'll even make you43:36go, "Who cares? I don't care. Do it43:38then." No. You have to be like, "I43:40care." And God cares. And he sees what43:43you're doing, Satan. I don't want to43:45listen to you and I don't need to. I43:47never wanted to listen to you. You ain't43:49jack deadly squat and that's the real43:53blood. You got to bang on them too.43:55Blood. No, I'm just kidding. I'm just43:56kidding. Or if you you guys like blue43:58cuz No, I'm just kidding. Totally44:00kidding. Okay, don't do that. Don't bang44:02on people, right? But you just got to44:05understand like, oh, I'm a person who,44:08you know, I need Jesus Christ. And it's44:10okay. [clears throat] Amen. Every one of44:12you guys is truly loved by God. He loves44:15you guys so much. He didn't lead you to44:17this congregation for no reason. I'm not44:20saying we're the best congregation. We44:22have our flaws. We have our blemishes.44:24Hund P, right? We have people who don't44:27respond. I don't respond. Some mods44:30don't respond to you guys, right? It44:33happens. You know, it happens. People44:35feel some type of way and they, you44:37know, get angry and they talk. People,44:40you know, send you guys messages and44:42even jump in here and make fake Johnny44:43Chang profiles, right? So, we have our44:46flaws. I wish I could block it all. I44:48wish I could snap my fingers and be44:51like, I'm going to make this person. I'm44:53going to stop this person. This person's44:55going to change their heart posture.44:56We're all going to just be one happy44:57family. But if that's the case, you guys44:59wouldn't worship God. You would worship45:00core of the heart. Amen. Amen.45:03>> Guys, our live events are getting super45:05packed. We genuinely need some help. So,45:07we're looking for a live events45:10producer.45:10>> So, I'm going to be completely honest45:12about this. There's a lot of moving45:13pieces from booking a church, finding45:15the vendors, scanning in the people, the45:17volunteers, the merch. Like, there's so45:19many moving pieces that I'm just going45:21to say right now, we're looking for a45:22professional. We're looking for someone45:23who has done this before. If you're45:25watching and you're like, "Oh, I think I45:26can help their live events." Honestly,45:28you're probably not the pick. But if45:29you're watching and you're saying, "Oh,45:30I've done this before. I've thrown live45:31events. I've even maybe worked in a45:33church space." Please reach out. We're45:34looking for a killer, someone who can45:36really coordinate everything. It's a ton45:38of moving pieces. At the end of the day,45:39it's nothing too hard or complicated,45:41but it's a lot of details, a lot of45:43moving pieces, and for us to be doing45:45this every single month, once a month or45:46even more, it's almost impossible45:48because we each run different branches45:49of the business. So, for us to do these45:51ourselves, it's becoming unscalable. So,45:53if you think, you know, you know, I can45:54come in, take this over, I'll learn from45:57them, we'll teach you everything, and45:58you think I can take the information and46:00go throw them live events every single46:02month in a different city for the rest46:03of the next 10 years. If you're hearing46:05this and you think that's you, please46:07reach out. We pay super competitively.46:09We have honestly a really good pay for46:10you guys because we really want to do46:11this. Live events are super important to46:13Johnny and all of us and all of you46:15guys. So, we want to keep doing them. We46:17want to keep making them super amazing.46:18And that's why honestly, we're looking46:20for a killer. Like it. We're not really46:22going to hire anyone to test them out or46:23try to train. We're looking for someone46:25who has done this before and is ready to46:26do it for us and we're going to pay you46:28very handsomely for it. So, please reach46:30out. The best way to do it, there's a46:32link in the description. There's a job46:33application that details everything and46:35the pay. So, please fill it out. Please46:37pay attention to the instructions.46:38There's a lot of instructions that if46:40you don't pay attention to them, we're46:41not even going to look at your46:42application. So, cutting to the chase,46:44we're looking for a live events killer.46:46If you are that person or if you know46:47that person, if someone at your church46:49maybe throws the events, if you want to46:51recommend it to a friend or a family46:52member, we want an awesome beast live46:54events producer.46:56>> The last thing I'll add is you're going46:58to be handling everything from thousand46:59to 5,000 person live events. We do47:02prison ministry, overseas trips. We want47:04to do we have big plans to take core of47:06the heart global and you would be the47:09lynch pin that controls all of that. So47:11with that being said again like Aaron47:13said I'm only harping it again. There's47:16a lot of people that are applying47:17because you have a heart for the mission47:19which is great but only because of past47:22experiences. We have a very particular47:24vision of what this person needs to be.47:26We're also being advised by people that47:28have done this at extremely high level47:29who are helping us vet the applications.47:32So, it's going to be a very like select47:36group of people that are looking at your47:37application. So, please do not be47:39offended if we don't pick you. Just47:41understand we have a lot of input and we47:43are very specific on what we need. So,47:45we're very appreciative if you try, but47:47please again understand that we've we've47:50gone through a lot of ups and downs to47:52understand what we need [snorts] or47:53want.47:53>> So, if you want to apply, the link is in47:55the description. Also, for anyone else47:56still listening, if you want to come to47:58these awesome live events, text in after48:00to 323-613357748:04for free live events in a city near you48:06>> or download Core of the Heart daily.48:08>> I genuinely want to thank you guys for48:11tuning in and just supporting Core of48:12the Heart. Without you guys, we48:14obviously we wouldn't be able to go48:16global. And so, we are looking for that48:19that perfect piece, right, to uh take us48:22global and help us with the live events.48:24So, if that's you, we really do48:26appreciate you guys for for applying and48:28um hope to work with you guys soon. So,48:31you know, there's flaws. Every church48:33has its problems. Everybody, you know,48:36you know, does certain things, right?48:39But people, they can never get out of48:42themselves. That's the one thing I see48:44so much, right? I tell my my people all48:47the time, Clippers to everyone in here48:51from the lowest to the highest people,48:54right? People who hold position, the48:56community leaders to [snorts] mods to48:59you guys, brothers and sisters to49:01pastors in here. There's also deacons in49:03here, elders in here, right? What do I49:06say? We are nothing. You're not even49:08worthy to be in your position. We're not49:11even worthy to stand in front of God. So49:13then act like it. Because once you49:15realize that you're not worthy, you stop49:18judging everything that's happened to49:19you in your life and you start to49:21appreciate all the things that's49:23happened to you in your life. Amen. You49:25you don't become bitter, right? I won't49:28be able to establish you guys sometimes.49:30I won't be able to see your work. I may49:32have my blind spots, but does that mean49:34God does has his blind spots? Does that49:37mean God doesn't see all of the things49:39in your heart? Right? People are so49:42stuck on Johnny has to exalt me. I was49:45in here for this. I did this for him. I49:47did that for him. I surrendered. I did I49:49me I. Johnny doesn't have to acknowledge49:51anything. Johnny cannot acknowledge49:53anything without the grace and the eyes49:55of God. If God doesn't give me the grace49:57to see your heart, what can I do but not50:00see your heart? Right? So you guys have50:03to realize that too.50:05[clears throat] Amen. Some of you guys50:07have seen messages, man. Johnny, you50:09never answer my question. you answer50:10everyone else or you don't answer mines.50:12Is it are you do you feel some type of50:13way about me? Is there a pro? And I'm50:15like what? I don't even know what you're50:17talking about. What was your question?50:18You know, are you purposely just leaving50:20me on bread? It's like what? Like no, I50:23I don't see it. So many people, right?50:27And so at the end of the day, you know,50:31we all want to be exalted. You guys know50:33that, right? anyone who ever has a50:35problem with anyone, the first thing50:37that I learn and what I've seen is50:41basically I'm not exalted. Something50:45happened to me where I'm not exalted.50:49Whether it was this brother, this50:50sister, they didn't exalt me. They50:52didn't make me feel great. That's that's50:54what it is. And that's what all our50:56pastors see. That's what I love about50:58pastors. Pastor Kim, it's always like51:00what what are you coming to me about51:02when you should have went to God about51:04that? That in itself is very telling.51:07You know what I'm saying? A lot of51:09people try to do that. You know, and I51:12want you guys to understand that51:14anything that you go to God about, you51:16have to realize, am I going to God for51:18myself or am I going to God because51:21Johnny did something that wasn't51:23scriptural that he disrespected God in51:26all of these things? Listen guys, if51:28people disrespect me, I don't care. Did51:30you disrespect God though? That's what I51:33care about more than anything. You could51:34disrespect me all you want. I mean,51:36who's who's to how are you going to51:38respect someone like me who's a gang51:39member, who's who's evil, who's wicked,51:42who's never done anything really good. I51:44don't expect you guys to respect me. But51:46do you respect God and my father, the51:48one who died for me? That's where I kind51:50of think about. And where is your heart51:52posture in that? Right? Do you know51:54you're doing it on purpose? Do you51:56realize that you're this? Right? Do you51:59realize that you're that? And that's52:01what I I address. You know, Pastor Kim52:03told me, "It's not always good to accept52:04everybody." I was like, "Whoa, that's52:06such an unlock." Right? I'm always52:08trying to harden. But he said, "It's not52:10really good to always accept everybody52:12for what they are because what they'll52:13do is they'll use that, too." I was52:14like, "Shesh,52:16I've seen that a lot too." Ah, Johnny52:19will just tell me what I know he'll tell52:21me. But sometimes I chastise and then52:24people don't like it. And the and the52:27logic behind this and I think what's52:28really good is a person is usually like52:32a ticking time bomb, right? They're52:34either going to meet God for real or52:37they're going to delay meeting God for52:39real. Basically, if you don't help them52:42draw the line and you don't tell them,52:44sooner or later when push comes to52:46shove, you're going to have to draw the52:48line. they're either going to expose52:50that they really really follow or they52:52don't. So why not just say it right then52:54and there? And I was like sheesh that's52:56so true. Right? If a person only follows52:59me for unlocks sooner or later that's53:02going to get ex exposed because I'm not53:05only here for unlocks I'm here for53:06spiritual life. If a person doesn't want53:08to live spiritual life and all they care53:09about is edification sooner or later53:12whether they get cut whether they get53:14removed whether that's going to expose53:15their hearts. It's not that it doesn't53:18matter how long, you know, they they53:19they hide it. It just happens. You guys53:23understand what I'm saying, right, guys?53:25And so, why not just be like real from53:27the jump? And I saw that and I was like,53:30that's so true. So, you either just tell53:32them and two things will happen. If they53:36follow their thoughts, they would have53:37been following their thoughts anyways.53:39You just delayed it by trying to heart53:41gain them. Number one. or if you tell53:44them and they realize it and they turn53:47to God, that's the win. So either or53:50it's like a win-win if you really think53:52about it, right? And so he's been kind53:54of trying to tell me these things too.53:56[snorts] And of course, like it's not53:58about just being blunt. It's not about54:00just hurting people. It's not about,54:01hey, you're you're you're this. You54:03don't we still have to gain the heart,54:05but there are times where you have to54:07kind of step out of that, too, and go,54:09hey, respectfully, you're only mad.54:11respectfully, you're only messaging me54:13because it's about you, right? And two54:16things will happen. Oh yeah, if it's54:18about me, well then f you. I hate you.54:20You're supposed to do that. Yeah. And54:21start manipulating and pushing and54:23deflecting and projecting. Or it's, you54:26know what, you're right. You're right.54:27It is just about me. And where's Jesus54:29and it's he's not in here. It's all54:31about me. I thought it was, but it54:32wasn't. Hey, thank you for correcting54:34me. Right. Thank you for correcting me,54:38and I appreciate that. and you move54:40forward. Amen. Amen, guys. So, I hope54:44that you guys can learn this heart54:45posture of like I can go in front of54:47God. I can fall. I can do those things.54:50I I just can't stay there. I have to54:53truly allow God to to lead me. But most54:56of you guys uh we have a heart of always54:59exaltation. Exaltation at the end of the55:02day is you stepping in the high position55:04when God calls you to go to the low55:06position. How embarrassing if he has to55:08remove you. Imagine you sit in a chair.55:11You ever like do something where you it55:13was somebody else's like it was their55:14chair or it was their pencil or it was55:16something that belonged to them and then55:18you took it as if it was yours and then55:19they go, "Hey, that's my oh my gosh, I'm55:21so sorry. I didn't even mean that. I'm55:22so That's how that's how it feels to try55:24to stand in this position of55:25exaltation." Do you guys understand?55:28It's like it's so embar It's like55:30secondhand embarrassment. It's so55:31shameful. It's like, "Oh my gosh, I'm so55:32sorry." That's why God's smart. He goes,55:34"Put yourself down so when you do get55:36called up, I got you. Just stay in the55:39low position." I was like, "Dang,55:41[clears throat]55:41such a bar." So simple, but like so55:44deep, right? And so, yeah, stay in the55:47low position, guys. Okay? People don't55:48edify. Your family doesn't care about55:50you. People don't respect you. Your55:51pastor doesn't even care about you.55:52Okay? And what's the problem with that?55:55What's the problem with that? The55:56problem is I need to be respected.55:59That's the problem. Oh, you need to be a56:01Gotcha. Where's Jesus? What did Jesus56:03need to do? He left everything to God.56:06Even him as God left everything to his56:08father, God. Do you guys understand what56:10I'm saying? Right? So that's that's what56:12it is. Even Jesus did that. Hey, I don't56:15come to do my own accord. I come to do56:17the will of my father. If he wants that,56:18he wants that. Hey Lord, I can make my56:20request to you. Please remove this cup56:21of wrath, but only according to your56:24will. If not, then handle your business.56:26You know, that's how we have to move.56:28But what do we do? No, I need this. You56:32know, I was in Johnny Chang's56:34congregation for three years. You know,56:35it's this heart, right? You know, I've56:37been listening to Johnny six months,56:38man. Every month I donate, you know, a56:41tenth of my like and he doesn't even he56:43has the heart to chastise me. You know,56:45this type of energy, right? He says I56:47wasn't. I was just asking a question.56:49Does he know what I've done for him?56:50I've shared with him with my mom, my56:52dad, my father, my son, my you. Does he56:54know what I do? It's this, right? But56:57it's like, hey, respectfully, right?57:01Jesus gave you the heart to do all of57:03that and Jesus gave me the heart to57:05answer you during the time that he57:06answered you. And you know, right? So57:09people don't realize those things. They57:11get angry. They shake inside even. They57:14even want to kill me. Why? Because it's57:16easier to preserve your heart than to57:18break your heart. It's easier to kill57:20somebody else than kill your own heart57:22posture. Something's got to die. either57:25me or the heart inside of you. That's57:28the only thing. Understand what I'm57:30saying? That's just how it is. Amen. All57:34right, guys. I got to go. I'll see you57:35guys later. I'm going to get ready for57:37Bible class. See you guys at 400 p.m.57:39Please join. Please have your mics57:41muted. Please have the right heart57:42posture. Don't come on with your shirt57:44off. Don't come on with, you know, all57:46that. Just treat it like Bible class.57:48Porfas. Poor favor, dude. Glossas with a57:52L. Glossas. And uh what did what did he57:56say? Adios, Mo. Adios, Mo. No, I'm just58:00kidding. All right, guys. Love you guys.58:02See you guys later. Peace.
