It's broken.0:32It's not working." You guys crashed the0:35stream. You guys crashed the app, bro.0:37It was crazy as heck, man.0:39>> But we fixed everything. There's a lot0:41of amazing people downloading the app0:43and enjoying it.0:44>> That was the best indicator. I knew the0:46Streamathon would go well when day one0:48they crashed the app. Okay. Guys, in this1:13episode, we're going to talk about how1:15to truly trust and rely on God. We're1:18also going to speak about how most1:20Christians are actually trusting and1:21believing in themselves and they don't1:23even know it. And towards the end, we're1:25going to talk about how to truly receive1:27and hear the Holy Ghost, the Holy1:29Spirit. How do you know if something is1:31coming from God or if it's coming from1:32your own emotions? We talk about that1:34towards the end. Welcome back to another1:36episode on the Unlearned Wisdom Podcast1:38with yours truly, Pastor Johnny Chang,1:40where each episode is a gospel- centered1:42lesson that you could apply to your life1:44today.1:45>> Like, comment, subscribe, download the1:47audio episode.1:48>> He's learning his line. [laughter]1:51>> He was sitting there like sweating1:52bullets. He's like, "All right, my big1:55moment. [laughter]1:57>> Can't ruin it." Or Jeremy's going to say1:58something.2:00>> Yo,2:01>> reading the scripts is just getting2:03easier, too. That's so cool.2:05>> What scripts? I thought those were off2:06the top.2:07>> No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.2:08>> Hey, I was just cracking up cuz I was2:10like, is this camera getting the table?2:11What if I was just like [laughter]2:14>> just like putting2:17>> Please send us more electrolytes,2:18[laughter] Daddy Santa Cruz. We've all2:20We've ran out. Santa Cruz is crazy.2:23Shout out Santa Cruz though, man.2:25>> Nurse the homie. But yeah, um kind of2:28want to Okay, I wanted to talk about2:30this. What what triggered this kind of2:32episode or this topic was cuz I was2:35sitting there and I was thinking and2:38I've been noticing a lot of people uh2:40the ones who, you know, just reach out2:41to me. I had a homie reach out to me and2:43go, "Bro,2:45um I'm I'm Buddhist." He's like, "But2:47I'm thinking about transitioning." It's2:49one of my my my hood friends from my2:51hood. He was like, "Dude, I'm I'm2:52transitioning out and I want to like,2:55you know, kind of look into2:56Christianity, kind of look into uh, you2:59know, other religions." Basically, he's3:01been transitioning and thinking like,3:03"All right, you know, he's feeling3:04empty. He used to go to the temple. Um,3:07and he's a hardcore Buddhist. His whole3:09family was Buddhist, I think, for like3:11generations." Um, and he basically was3:15like, "Yo, where do number one?" He3:17asked me, "Where do I start reading the3:19Bible?" But number two, he said, "Even3:22if I was to read the Bible, like doesn't3:25don't all religions kind of lead back to3:27God anyways, like why do I have to, you3:30know, [clears throat] pick Christianity3:32and and instead of like Buddhism?" So,3:34the one thing it triggered a thought and3:37a memory for me when people say, for3:39example, that you know, emotions and3:41spiritual feelings are all kind of from3:43God. That's something that I really had3:46to check and I really had to like3:47process. Uh even early on as a baby3:50Christian, I remember when I was3:52younger, my mom used to take us to3:53temple, me and my brother, and we would3:56chant and I remember the chants would3:58feel very um peaceful like you would say4:01like, you know, you would chant4:03constantly like these Buddhist chants4:04essentially. They're like seances,4:06right? And you would feel like the4:08vibrations like it's it's in a room with4:10everyone and everyone's like and they're4:12just like chanting and I [clears throat]4:14would feel like peace and then I would4:16feel like you know when the when the4:18monk would come and like kind of like4:20touch us and we would buy and stuff like4:22that meaning like we would get the4:24incense and we pray to the dead and all4:26that felt very peaceful like I was4:28talking to my grandpa. It was like this4:30feeling of peace. Um, I experienced that4:34and I also experienced that in4:35Christianity too. That's what I realized4:37was two different religions. I had the4:39same type of feeling. It was like, dude,4:42you can actually feel it. Started to4:44make me think like when did I also feel4:46that type of peace. I'll be honest, when4:49I first popped Molly, I was like, "Oh my4:52gosh, it was the same type of piece,4:54too." So, how is it that a spiritual4:56piece, you feel these goosebumps, you4:58feel these things. You can also get them5:00at a concert. You can also get them at,5:02you know, popping drugs and doing, you5:04know, things like that. And then also go5:05into the spiritual realm, right? Where5:07it's like Christianity, Buddhism, and5:09all that. So, if you base everything off5:11of feelings, it kind of made sense as to5:13why like, oh, wow, we can't base5:16everything off of feelings because5:17feelings can replicate. Your mind can5:19even go, man, I I remember this. And it5:21kind of like just blends everything5:23together and gets convoluted. So, I told5:25my homie that. I was like, "Bro, when I5:27was young, I would feel the same, but5:28then remember when we would do drugs5:30together, which we would." And how did5:32we feel about that? He's like, "Dang,5:34that's a really good point, bro. Like,5:35so are you saying that like I shouldn't5:38trust my feelings?" And that's when I5:39was like, "Ooh, this is going to be a5:41good topic, right? Like, we should we5:43should probably like talk about this,5:44you know?" He's like, "What is a what?"5:46But isn't the Holy Spirit like from5:47Buddha, too? Cuz he's holy and he has a5:49spirit. And it's like so all these5:51things I I wanted to kind of really5:53address and be like these are really5:54good topics I probably not just my5:56friend has but you guys are probably5:58like well if I feel good about something5:59I prayed about something God gave it to6:01me isn't that from God you know if if a6:04relationship came to me and that person6:06says she loves God and I love God like6:07isn't that from God? Like all I want to6:10do is maybe give that perspective of6:12like let's look at what scripture says,6:14what God really says. I don't want you6:16guys to get conned. I don't want you6:17guys to get, you know, uh, um, tricked6:20and deceived. So, that's kind of why I'm6:22talking about this. Yes, sir.6:24>> Then why would God give us feelings?6:28[laughter]6:29>> Why do you do it like that, Jerome?6:31>> What6:32>> are you like, why would God give us6:34feelings, you know?6:34>> Yeah, I'm like, checkmate. [laughter]6:36>> God made us take over the podcast. I6:39don't know.6:39>> All right. Well, I'll take over from6:41here. Welcome back to Unlearned Wisdom6:42with Jeremy Chang. [laughter]6:44Well, so why would God give us feelings6:46then?6:47>> Um, he gives us feelings because6:49obviously it's important, right? I mean,6:51we have to be affectionate with one6:53another, compassionate with one another,6:55but our feelings again are not6:57inherently evil. Like, we should be able7:00to feel because how would you enjoy7:01life? You'd be a robot if you didn't7:03have feelings. The problem is when7:05people equate feelings to their savior,7:07right? And I always say this all the7:08time, like feelings are important, but7:10they make horrible saviors. They make7:13horrible leaders. Like if you depend on7:15your feelings, you will literally live7:17like a roller coaster. Like genuinely7:20live like a roller coaster. And if you7:21don't, honestly, it's because you7:23receive grace. So that's kind of what it7:25comes down to, right? Yes, feelings are7:27important. But some people are like,7:29"No, it's the most important thing,7:31right? It's like it's like carrots are7:33healthy, but if you're only eating7:35carrots, you don't eat meat, protein,7:36nothing, you will literally probably7:38die, right? And so at the same time like7:41it's it can't be just that one thing. It7:44has to be a balance 100%. What I'm7:46addressing here is and what I saw in my7:48homie and no disrespect to you bro like7:50you know you know me like I'm it's all7:53about balance. You can't just be like oh7:55these are my feelings like these are7:57really really important. And what I saw7:58in him was that yo my feelings are8:01important though. Like if I feel the8:02same across the board why do I have to8:04go to God if I have it over here? And so8:06that's very valid. It makes sense. But8:09at the same time, I I asked him one8:11question that kind of broke his mind. I8:13said, "If your feelings are right and8:14you have all of that, why are you asking8:16me to explore Christianity?" And he's8:18like, "Dang, that's true." Like, if I8:21was getting it right, like, why would I8:22go and explore other things? So, you8:24know, it's it's weird how our brain8:26tricks us. It's like, we're good, but8:28we're really not. Well, if we're really8:29good, then why are we s like seeking? We8:31we would be filled. Our cup would be8:32full. We'd be satisfied. Why are we8:35looking for more? If that's the case,8:36it's because you're not. That's that's8:37the indicator that you're not.8:39>> People think they can just vibe their8:40way into heaven through feelings.8:42>> They think they can vibe code their way.8:45Vibe code your salvation. Okay.8:47>> Sheesh. That's a bar though. [laughter]8:49Honestly, you can't vibe code. You can't8:52salvation max. I'm just [laughter]8:54kidding.8:55>> Okay. So, what does it actually look8:56like to fully rely on God and not just8:58claim it? M. So you truly rely on God9:03when no matter what happens, what you9:05feel, what you think, your perspective,9:07your experiences, you're like, "God,9:09you're right. I listen to you. Even if9:13what you say doesn't match what I feel9:16and what I think." That's literally how9:18you know, right? So most people, they9:20go, "God, I trust you as long as it9:23makes sense to me." Right? That's the9:25problem. Like I can trust God when God's9:27blessing me. who can't trust God when9:29he's blessing us, right? But it's when9:31God goes, "All right, I'm going to take9:32away that blessing. I'm going to make it9:34a hard season." Then that's when like9:37true trust is being tested, right? So I9:41would say most people don't trust God.9:42They trust outcomes, right? Most people9:45don't follow God. They're trying to9:47actually accessorize God without9:49realizing it. And so the only way to9:51truly rely on him is to go, no matter9:53what I think and what I feel right now9:56in this moment, let's say I get cancer9:58or let's say I lose [clears throat] my10:00job. Lord, could you snap your fingers10:03and stop that? Yes. If you're not doing10:06it, can I say that that is a good thing?10:09Because obviously it's not good. Cancer10:11is not good. It's never good, right?10:13Losing your job is never good. But10:15you're good enough to make all those10:17evil things turn good, right? What Satan10:20wanted for evil, God used as good. All10:23throughout the Bible, that's that's how10:25God wins is he always flips evil into10:28good. People like Saul turns him into10:30Paul, right? People like King David was10:33a little shepherd boy, didn't have10:34anything, but gave him the power to slay10:36Goliath. People like Abraham who10:38literally like gave out his wife two10:40times to Aimilec and Pharaoh, turns him10:43into the father of faith. A person who10:44didn't trust in God, laughed at God, now10:46is being used by God, right? people like10:48Johnny10:49>> stab people10:51>> people shot stab people10:52>> and uh allegedly and and then and then10:56now it's being used by God for sure10:58that's not allegedly used by God is true11:00the other stuff allegedly11:03yeah that's how you basically truly rely11:04on God when you look at um Proverbs11:093:5-611:11everyone knows the scripture it says11:12lean not on your own understanding in11:14all your ways acknowledge God in all11:16your ways trust in the Lord11:18So, in order to it's it's it's a11:20two-part thing. In order to trust God,11:22you have to lean not on your own11:24understanding. That means you got to11:25throw away this in order to hold on to11:27him. But people try to hold on to their11:29thoughts. And they also try to hold on11:30to God. And that's where the problem11:32remains, right? That's kind of like11:34lukewarm where it's like, I'll trust11:35God, but also trust my anxiety, my11:37depression. Also trust what I see as11:39well. Right? And so God tells us we walk11:42by faith, not by sight. What's really11:44difficult is in this world, most people11:47are taught you walk by sight. So if you11:50see a pathological liar and you've seen11:53him pathologically lie, you're not going11:55to trust him. That's based off of what?11:57Perception. What you see, right? Whereas11:59the Bible goes, "No, no, no. No matter12:01what you see, like I can change it. I12:04can use it for good. I am good. Once I12:06put my hand on it, it's going to be12:08transformed." So that's the difficulty12:10from a young age. We're taught, you12:12know, be careful. Look out for cars. You12:15know, everything is like what you see,12:16see, see, see, see, see. But God is12:18like, "No, no, no." Now, you have to12:20unlearn like, you know, what you see,12:23right? I saw something recently with um12:25You [clears throat] guys know who12:26Michael J. Michael J. White is?12:28>> No.12:29>> The black dude.12:30>> The boxer.12:31>> The box. Well, he's a he's a karate guy.12:33Like, he's12:33>> Yeah.12:34>> And he was like punching, right? And he12:36was talking about how like boxers when12:38they fight they're teaching like12:41projection. So he did this punch where12:43he was he it was him and like Kimbo12:45slice, right? And he's like don't let me12:47hit you. And Kimbo slice rip, you know,12:49one street fighter. And so the first one12:52he's like doing it really fast and then12:53he's like moving his hand, right? And12:55the last one it was crazy. He just goes12:57like that and it hits his hand and13:00Kibble Slice goes, "Oh hell, what the13:02heck?" And he goes, "What's the13:03difference?" He goes, "When I'm13:04punching, you see my shoulder move. So13:06you see it and you can move it out the13:08way." But this one is just straight like13:10that, right? And so what Michael J.13:12White was saying was essentially like13:15you have to like project, you have to13:17like see and you're like trusting what13:19you see. But the issue is when you when13:21you're taught something completely13:22different, you're like unlearning13:24something, right? So he he said13:25something about like it takes 10,00013:28hours to unlearn a bad habit. It only13:31takes a couple thousand hours to learn a13:34new habit, right? So, it's kind of like13:36that's how life is, right? You could13:38literally work out for, I don't know, a13:41year straight, get a ripped body, but13:43you do a bad diet for like a month,13:46maybe even two months, which is like 20%13:48of that, bro, you're gaining your weight13:50all back. You're literally going to be13:51deconditioned and all of that. It's just13:54how the the world works, right? You can13:56learn all of these things. dopamine13:57hits, you could literally like fry your13:59brain within like a few scrolls on14:02TikTok. But if you try to sit and like14:04rebuild your synapses, rebuild your14:07neuroplasticity by reading the Bible,14:09reading stuff, it's going to take a14:10really long time to do that, right? And14:12so, like,14:13>> what God wants us to realize is you not14:17trusting in him is not a problem. Wait,14:20what? Like that's what I had to learn14:22early on in my walk is like I know that14:24this world has cards dealt against me.14:27This is God, right? And I know that it's14:29going to take a long time and yet I'm14:32still patient with you. I know it's14:34happening and I'm just giving you the14:36blueprint here on how to relearn. So14:38even with me, although it's been 1014:39years, it's like there are certain14:42things that it takes time to be like,14:44"Oh yeah, I have to rely on God, right?"14:46And so when our streamathon the first14:48day, it crashed literally. But right14:52there, I had to also realize something.14:54It humbled me in the moment. Of course,14:56the first initial thought was, "Dang,14:58I'm freaking frustrated. We paid all15:00this money. Like, how do we miss this?"15:02Like, it was working all the way up15:04until literally 5 minutes before the15:06stream before everybody jumped on it.15:08It's not like we didn't have other15:10people. We have thousands of people on15:11the app already. Why is it like all of a15:13sudden crashing in the most important15:15time? And then I realized something.15:17Johnny, you have to unlearn, bro. Just15:19because you put in the money, just15:21because you put in the time, just15:22because you put in the effort, you're15:24literally sitting there. You got Jeremy15:25setting up things for you, Aaron setting15:27up things for you, you setting up things15:28for your whole team, Justin and everyone15:30working for you. But Johnny, which is15:32God, if I don't stop it, if I don't15:34allow it, if I don't give you the grace,15:36it's not going to work. And again,15:39that's where I trusted in myself to15:40think if I put the money in there, if I15:43do this, if I do that, then it's going15:44to work. And it's also for God, too. So,15:46why wouldn't it work? It's going to help15:48everybody. It's making God a habit every15:49day. It's letting them into my routine.15:51But God was like, "You do understand15:53that I still have to give you grace,15:54right?" And I'm like, "Oh my gosh, I15:56tell everybody about grace." In that one15:58split second, I forgot about grace, too.16:00And it was a very humbling thing. Not in16:02like a way of like, "Oh, condemning16:04myself. You're so stupid. What's wrong16:05with you? You've been a pastor for 1016:06years. you don't know this. It's more of16:08like, oh, duh. Like, even I h I fall16:11into my ways, even if it's minuscule.16:13Like, fall into my ways of like, wow, if16:16I put money in, something will come out.16:18Like, that's not necessarily true,16:20right? It's just how the way it is. So,16:22I had to right then and there rely on16:23God. And I think it took like seven or16:25eight minutes where it like out of16:28nowhere, miraculous, Aaron handles hands16:30me his phone and then it's like working16:32and I'm like, "Oh, this is cool." And it16:34just made me appreciate all the times16:36that I didn't use that that I did use16:38the app and wasn't appreciative that it16:40was working. And like right when16:41everything was broken and then he handed16:43it to me, you could see it in the16:44stream. My face lights up like, "Oh, for16:46real. All right, let's do it. Let's do16:47it." It's like those little things. I16:50don't I won't have that heart to rely on16:52God. And I won't even remember to rely16:54on God because my mind is already16:56shifted to the point of like, "Oh yeah,16:57I paid money. I should do this. There's16:59developers. We got two on our team. They17:01should be working. It works." Not17:03necessarily true. You know, it's like17:04God is like, you could have everything,17:07but you still need to rely on me though.17:09At the end, I have to say I have the17:10final say to say yes or no. And and that17:14really humbles people and goes, whoa,17:16like, okay, I really do have to rely on17:18God. And it's some kind of it's like17:19there's like a liberty of it, you know.17:21Yes, tomorrow, you know, I had that17:23thought. Maybe the the next day it'll17:25it'll it might not work, but this is17:27where I have to pray to God, lean on17:28God, rely on God, and be like, "All17:30right, if it happens again, that's just17:32what you wanted. We're going to keep17:34pushing forward. You guide me. You help17:36me. This is what it means." I'm finally17:39bringing after service to Europe this17:41June. After service is a free live event17:43where you're going to get a sermon from17:45me, a live Q&A, a meet and greet, and17:48basically we're bringing the online17:49community offline for you guys to come17:51and fellowship. I'm coming to Stockholm,17:53Sweden June 4th, which is a Thursday.17:56And we're hitting also Amsterdam, which17:58is Saturday, June 6th, and Sunday, June18:017th. Let's go.18:12Like, how do you know the the the sign18:13isn't don't do this streamathon?18:15>> Mhm. Oh, like you're Oh, no, no, no. God18:18is stopping it. He made it crash. The18:20app's not working. Right. versus like,18:22yo, do everything you can. Get the team18:24right, but trust that I have grace and18:26pray that you keep moving forward18:27versus, oh, this could have been a giant18:29red stop sign. How do you know the18:31difference?18:31>> Yeah. So, the that's a really really18:32good thing. So, how do you know the18:34difference if God is saying, especially18:36in our uh situation where maybe he could18:39have been like, "Don't do this. The app18:41is not good." Well, first and foremost,18:43you have to know scripture, right? God18:45will always give you, he won't always18:47give you a sign, but he'll always give18:48you scripture, right? And what that18:50means is I have to go back to that. So18:52when I was sitting there and it was18:53happening, I was like I I thought the18:56same thing. I have a underworld mindset.18:58You guys don't Well, maybe you guys do18:59know. I'm always pessimistic. So the19:02first thought that did come to me was19:04maybe God's not happy with this19:06dreamathon. Maybe like somewhere along19:08the line we were like focusing on X, Y,19:10and Z, and it was removing the gospel.19:12But then I really thought about it. I19:14was like, "Lord, are you the type of19:17person that would take away things from19:19us just because we were like that or19:21would you just correct us?" And how do I19:23know this isn't a correction? Well, I19:24don't. Right? In those 7 to 8 minutes,19:26I'm like, "All right, if it doesn't19:28work, it doesn't work." And I'm sitting19:30there and I'm just kind of like riffing19:31in a little bit and like laughing and19:33all that. What I saw, which I think is a19:36miracle in itself, was that when the19:39streamathon went down and it didn't19:41perform as well, there wasn't a single19:43person that was pissed off.19:45>> I saw one.19:47>> I literally didn't see people who were19:48like like majority net positive. It was19:51like,19:52>> dude, it's okay, Johnny. Like, it's19:53cool. And people were saying things that19:55blew my mind. Oh, we need grace, too.19:58Like, and I was like, yo. So that they20:01it made me think about grace as well.20:03And I was like, wow. And then lastly,20:05obviously, when you're focusing20:07everything for the gospel, like I had20:09the heart come to me to go, I don't know20:11if it's a red flag or not, but Lord,20:13we've been working for this many months.20:15Like, you could have stopped it. You20:18could have not let the app literally go20:20past to the stages to even get to where20:22we can have people sign up. The email20:24stuff that we're sending, you wouldn't20:26give us those things. So, I started to20:27kind of plug these things in and go,20:29"Okay, God." Like, am I doing this20:31because I'm happy? Was did I have a goal20:32of like I want to get 200,000 people to20:35be on there? Like, not necessarily. It20:37was more of just like, let's put it out20:38there. This is the next phase. This is20:40what's going to help people. And then it20:42blew up and it grew. So, it was more20:45that I don't think that's the right20:46question. It was more of like whether it20:49happens or not, God, like you could stop20:51it right now and I would have been okay.20:53I really looked at my heart like let's20:54say this this is your sign and you don't20:56want us to have it. I would be fine with20:58that. Number one. Number two, if that if21:01it isn't the case and you do want to21:03help us, you're just trying to build21:04faith and remind me. I'm okay with that,21:07too. And then it turned back on and I21:09just assumed like, okay, yeah, it's for21:11the gospel. It's helping other people.21:13Like there are people literally using21:15the gospel credits like the gospel21:17credits like all the way up. You know,21:19there are people who are like the daily21:21devotional helps me so much. Not in a21:23way where it's like boosting them, but21:24it's like, whoa, I didn't see God like21:27that, right? And they're starting to see21:29these things. And I'm like, okay, so21:30God, I think that's what it is. And even21:32that, we move by faith cuz he's not21:34answering me from the sky. The heavens21:36aren't opening up and him going, "Yeah,21:38Johnny, this is what I want. This is21:39what I don't want. And this is the whole21:40point." Trusting in God is whether it's21:43this or that. I don't really care. You21:46know what I mean? I And I don't think21:47about it like that. And I could be21:48wrong. He could be like, "Oh, I just21:50don't want you to do I'll let you work21:52for a week and then it breaks." I would21:54still be okay with that. And I think21:56that's what really trusting in God is is21:58going, "You could literally take my22:00platform tomorrow. You could take my22:02life tomorrow. And at the end of the22:04day, that doesn't mean that you're not22:05bad. And it does it doesn't mean that22:06you're not you're a bad God, right? It22:09means that you care and I trust you with22:11everything." So, it just felt like that.22:13>> I saw this clip of uh Pastor Philip22:16Anthony Mitchell. Mhm.22:17>> I didn't really know who he was. This22:18clip popped up and he was basically like22:21uh he was like um there's a lot of times22:26that we aren't ready or would get22:27distracted if God told us exactly what22:29he was going to do.22:31>> For example, if he was going to bless22:32us, it would be like,22:34>> "Oh, yay. I'm about to get this22:35blessing." And then all maybe you would22:37let other things fall. Or if he's like,22:38"You're about to go through the22:40hardest." If imagine if he came to22:42Johnny and was like, "You're about to go22:43to prison for 12 years of your if you'd22:45be like,22:46>> "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no." And22:48then maybe22:49>> yeah, maybe you wouldn't be able to22:50accept that lesson to learn what you22:52need to do for his greater plan. True.22:54>> So, a lot of times humans want22:56predictability, right? They or they22:58think they want predictability. I would22:59I want to know how this girl feels about23:01me. I need to know that I'm going to23:02have this job security. I want to know23:04that like, you know, I'm going to be23:06healthy my whole life. But at the end of23:07the day, that becomes a hindrance23:09because the minute anything shifts, it's23:11like you can't handle that23:12uncomfortability. maybe you need to23:14evolve as a human. So, I just thought23:16that that was a very interesting thing23:17how you're like, I could die tomorrow23:19and you know, I I still trust that it's23:22a good God because again, it goes back23:23to this idea of like23:25>> we always have this feeling that if God23:28just like today, God, if you just made23:31that streamathon go right, like we would23:33have had all those people that were got23:34a good experience and they would have23:36been in this app and they would be23:37following you more. Like, why couldn't23:38you have made that work? Even though you23:40taught me this lesson and it went wrong,23:41why couldn't that been the lesson? That23:43would have helped that that's I can't23:45think of any other reason why that23:47wouldn't have been more net positive for23:48the kingdom, right?23:50>> But for some reason,23:51>> instead, we get this other lesson where23:53it's like we kind of have to rethink of23:55like our relationship with how we're23:57maybe operating as a team or how we feel23:59about certain things or just even what24:01our community wants or deserves. And um24:04yeah.24:04>> Yeah. I think like the number one way24:06that also helps me like since you're24:09saying that kind of triggers something24:10like the one way that helps me also keep24:14God at the center of everything is I try24:17to think back on the times that he's24:18left me high and dry and it's never24:21happened.24:22>> So it's like when you think about it24:23like that it's like when was the last24:25time he left me high and dry? Like I24:28could say the prison stuff but that's24:30not true cuz he utilized it for my24:32right. It's like what? When was a time24:34when I was literally like abandoned by24:36God? Like if if you're number one, if24:39you're abandoned by God, you'd be dead.24:41Like it's just that's just the truth,24:43right? So when has God ever like left me24:46and did me dirty? Never. All the times24:50that even when I thought he left me, it24:52was like that same thing where it was24:53like, "Yo, you're putting a period where24:55I'm placing a comma. I'm literally24:57nurturing you. I'm helping you. I'm24:58growing you." Right? I used to think25:01like because [clears throat] pastor25:02would make me do certain things that God25:05didn't love me. Like I'm like how could25:07you give this pastor the heart to like25:09make me scrub toilets. It's like what25:11the what am I learning scrubbing toilets25:13you know? It's like oh and then I would25:15have hella thoughts which God wouldn't25:17stop thoughts of like you're not it's25:20cuz you're not Korean so they don't love25:22on you like that. You know, Korean25:23people don't like a Chinese upkeeper.25:25And you know, it's like you guys are25:27bad. A dirty dirty Asian dirty dirty.25:30I'm just kidding. Right. It's like, and25:31I would legit, although I'm joking, I25:33would have these crazy thoughts. Oh,25:35it's cuz you're tatted down. Oh, it's25:37cuz you don't speak Korean. It's cuz you25:39don't understand. Oh, everything always25:41tied back into like cultural25:43differences, you know. Um, they didn't25:45like you. They're just picking on you.25:47People are punking you. They're just25:49using you. I mean, all this type of25:51stuff, you free janitor,25:53>> literally free janitor. And and pastor25:55said something that was really humbling,25:57right? And kind of snapped me out of it.25:59He goes,26:00>> you know, Johnny, church doesn't need26:01you. Like you need the church. And I was26:03like, dang, that's so facts though,26:06right? Like we don't need you. Like26:08you're you're not going to do anything.26:10You take up space, you know? He's like,26:12you're kind of like a baby, you know?26:13When you look at a baby, a baby just26:15like pees, it poops, it cries, it makes26:18more problems, right? But like why are26:20the parents so happy to nurture the kid?26:23Because they understand that, you know,26:24they have God's heart and it's there's a26:26there's a love there, right? And it's26:28like, but the kids don't understand26:30that. The kids think that gets the worst26:31when they can't get candy, when they26:33can't get these things. And I was like,26:34dang, bro. Just literally humbled me and26:38called me like immature in the most26:40nicest way, right? Like you're a baby.26:43Basically, [laughter] you're immature.26:44You're underdeveloped as a human, bro.26:47And I'm just like, dang. But what what26:49he was saying was so true and it made me26:51recognize that God never left me high26:54and dry. Even those times where I26:56thought he did again, it was just my26:58thoughts. I wasn't there yet27:00emotionally. Definitely not there yet27:02spiritually and yet God utilized all27:05that for me now to look back in27:07hindsight and go, yo, I needed all of27:09those things.27:10>> Go ahead, Jerome.27:11>> No need. And I have a crazy story, but27:13you27:13>> Well, I just think you have a super27:14unique perspective that that takes like27:17immense biblical knowledge and honestly27:19immense faith because of where you are27:21now. It's like I don't know if I'm just27:23projecting, but I would say 99% of27:25people when they get when they end up in27:27prison for 12 years,27:28>> they're they're thinking, "Okay, God has27:30left me high and dry. There might not27:32even be a God anymore." Like that's why27:34I think Yeah. Core of the heart get that27:35too. Corora of the heart gets such27:37immense unlocks because they could like27:39now I feel like if some if a true27:40listener is truly saved like if27:42something did horrible happened to them27:43maybe they could accept it's God's plan.27:45But I'd say for 99% of people who don't27:48have immense biblical background and27:49knowledge27:50>> they do not take that as like a sign of27:52like I'm learning lessons here. It's27:55going to be part of my testimony. I27:56would personally be like there is no27:58God. If I got a 12 years prison sentence28:00I'd be like I'm so abandoned right now28:01and left behind at least before meeting28:04you. But they would but but the prison28:05is also one. But I'll just go the ultra28:07atheist as a atheist aspect. You'd be28:10like, "Well, what about the kids that28:11are getting bombed in schools in Iran?"28:13Right. Right.28:13>> Right.28:14>> Is that God's plan? You know, and it28:15goes down that rabbit hole.28:17>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.28:18>> But I had a crazy thought. So the the my28:20overall question is what's the28:22difference of trusting God versus28:24trusting things are just going to work28:25itself out? And I remember that my mom28:28was like she was just so intensely28:30Christian to where I hated church28:32because of it. And so like something28:34would happen where I'd be like on my way28:36I'm looking for my bike keys and I'm28:38late for school. I'm like I'm looking28:39for my bike keys. She's like Jeremy just28:42pray [laughter]28:43God will find the keys. She she'd start28:45she's like she'd start praying and I'm28:47like [laughter] and I would say I'm like28:49you know what I'm not going to pray to28:50God just to show that I can find the28:52keys and prove to her it wasn't God. And28:53I'd find the keys. I'd be like found the28:55keys didn't pray. You know, I was just28:56like a [laughter] I was just I was just28:58a I was just, you know, because I was so29:01like I was like, I'm going to prove that29:03it's not God. Maybe that's why maybe29:04that's why I'm so combative. That's29:06probably where I came from.29:07>> Why are you so combative, dude?29:09>> Dude,29:10>> who does that?29:11>> I I don't know.29:12>> I'm going to prove he's not real.29:13>> Okay. Well, wait till Dude, [laughter]29:16okay. Love my mom. We've We're now cool,29:19but like [laughter] she would be all29:21into the superch Christian stuff,29:23>> dude. Don't be disrespecting on my like29:25that29:27the Okay, I'm going to come to your29:30house at 5:00 a.m. I'd be sleeping29:33[laughter] and her room was upstairs.29:34Like my parents room was upstairs and29:36then uh it's [laughter] like 5:00 a.m. I29:39hear29:41and I'm like what? My shoot awake. I'm29:44like29:46she has this like medieval church horn29:49and she's I'm like IT'S THE TRUMPET.29:52WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHAT ARE YOU DOING?29:54IT'S 500 A.M. I HAD I HAD TO get up. And29:57she's just like praying [laughter] and29:59pulling this horn. And I'm like, "What30:02in your mind?" And then she just It's30:04like just like a loose apology. It's30:06like, "Oh, sorry. Sorry." It's like, you30:08know how loud that was? Like you did30:10that on purpose. So that's why I30:12challenged her and I challenged God.30:14>> But anyways, in that moment, right, it's30:16like, "All right, I just proved that God30:18wasn't real. It just worked itself out.30:20So what is the difference of trusting30:21God versus just trusting it'll work out?30:23Because someone could apply that same30:25lens to the streamathon.30:27>> Faith. Faith is the difference to sit30:29there and go30:31>> I it could work itself out. But how but30:35that you can you can push that on the30:37other side too. Like how do you know it30:38wasn't God working it out?30:40>> Cuz you can say how do you know it was30:42but you can also say how do you know it30:44wasn't? Right? It's it's and again this30:47gets into the semantics thing where it's30:49like rabbit hole time. It's like no it's30:51for sure God because of this this and30:53this30:54>> why that question poses an issue I think30:57>> is not that it's not something that you30:59can't answer. It's subjective and it's31:01relative, right? Whoever is a Christian31:03is going to believe that was God.31:05Whoever's going, you know, who isn't a31:07Christian is going to go, "Dude, like31:09relax." But it can go both ways, too.31:11For example, when [clears throat] a31:13person comes up to me and they go,31:14"Johnny, I've been demon attacked and31:17oppressed." And I'm like, "What's going31:19spiritual warfare? What happened? What31:21happened?" You know, I was driving and31:23my tire popped.31:26And I'm like, well, how do you know it's31:28not it's not Satan. How? But then how do31:31you know that's not God? Right? It's31:32like if we do this, no one moves31:34anywhere. Now it's going to be this is31:36what I feel. This is what you feel.31:38Well, all I can say is faith. Okay,31:41Father God, what does scripture say? You31:43don't go to what you feel. You go to31:45what scripture says. Remember, feelings31:46are not facts. Feelings are not faith.31:49Different Fs, right? So you have to sit31:51there and you have to go hm okay31:54normally what would I think about this31:57let's put that aside what does God say31:59about this now it's difficult to32:01atheists that's the that's why there's32:03the split is because people go makes32:06sense to me and uh I'm the one who's God32:10basically well how do you sit there it's32:12almost like you have to have a mental32:14illness low-key to like sit there and32:16think you can persuade somebody because32:19they look at you already like you're32:20mentally ill. I know so many people who32:22have come up to me and go, "Why do you32:24believe in Jesus, bro? Like you got32:26yourself out of the mud, right?" And32:30again, I'm sure some other people, some32:32of my homies will be like, "Bro, why you32:33give credit?" I've had homies say that32:35to me, "Why you give credit to this32:36white Jesus, bro? Like, you got yourself32:39out the mud, fool. You still had to sit32:41there and read the Bible. You still had32:42to go to counseling. You still had to do32:44therapy. You had to do all the Why are32:46you giving all the credit to him?" And32:48right there, how can I explain that to32:50them? They think everything is happening32:52in their lives because of them. And the32:55right question which would hurt their32:57hearts would be like, "So you believe33:00everything is in your power?" Yeah. Hell33:02yeah. I I you know, I'm responsible for33:04my life and I'm the master of my33:06destiny, right? Then why you struggle33:07with addiction and depression? Why don't33:09you get yourself out of that, too? If I33:11said that, I would come to the33:13streamathon like, "Wait guys, how you33:15doing, man?" A whole another fate. I'd33:16be jumped. I get DPD because that's33:18disrespect. Hey homie, you think you're33:20better than me? It becomes this, right?33:22So what can you say to somebody33:24genuinely who's not ready? And the truth33:26is we got to take from what Jesus says33:29and does nothing. King Herod, for33:32example, think about it. Jesus has to33:35preach the gospel to everybody. He would33:38preach the gospel to everybody. And yet33:40there's a guy named King Herod. If you33:41guys haven't watched Passion of the33:42Christ, it's pretty pretty accurate in33:45that in that scene. Okay, certain33:47things. Uh, but that scene is accurate.33:49King Herod comes out. He goes, "Where is33:50he? Where is Jesus? Show me a miracle.33:53Are you a miracle worker?" And Jesus33:55just looks at him, says nothing to him.33:58Shouldn't he at least be like, "Hey,33:59brother, it's not about miracles. Seek34:01ye first the kingdom of God and his34:03righteousness, and all else will be34:04added unto you." But what does he do? He34:06looks at King Herod and he just mute.34:09Why? Right? He also says, "Pray for your34:12enemies, [snorts] right? And turn the34:14other cheek. But when one of the rulers,34:17the next ruler, smacks him in the face,34:20how come Jesus doesn't go, "Okay, this34:22one too." Why? Because it's context,34:25right? There are certain people there in34:27this world who no matter what you say to34:30them, they're determined already and34:33they determined in their mind and they34:34chose in their mind already, I just know34:36what I know, right? And I'm I'm not I34:38don't care what you say to me. There are34:40people that I know that that have like34:43women for example who've treated their34:44husbands so well. They've done34:46everything. There's girls that I know34:48who go, "Okay, babe, you could cheat on34:50me. Just just come back home to me and34:53that's not enough."34:55How do you explain to somebody like you34:58you can bend, you can break, but it's35:00like I said, it's a mental ill. It's35:02like I've determined what I determined35:04already. And for you to change my mind,35:06like that's what it is. So it goes much35:08deeper than how do I know it's from God?35:10How do I know it just didn't work itself35:12out? That question in itself a lot of35:14people don't realize is basically like35:17I'm at the center of it. Make it make35:19sense to me. Right? 90% of the time. How35:22you know is it's very simple and we're35:23not here to persuade people. It's true.35:25God works everything out because the35:27Bible says so. Do we have faith to35:30believe that? If we don't, then that's35:32what makes us it different. That's what35:34the divide is. And it just makes sense.35:36it it even if it doesn't make sense, it35:38makes sense. And what I mean by that is35:40there is a creator of the universe. He35:42created something. A BMW doesn't just35:45come out of nowhere. A BMW is proof that35:48there's a creator. I don't know the35:50owner of the BMW. I drive a BMW. Does35:53that mean because I don't know the35:54owner, it's not real? No. Right? Just35:57because you don't know God, you're going35:58to say that things worked itself out.36:00But genuinely, it's God who works36:01everything out. That's just the truth,36:03right? You don't need to know him. And36:05just because you don't know him, the36:07proof that it worked itself out is proof36:09that there is somebody who is behind36:10that. Right? Now, I'm not saying you36:12could just sit there and be like, "God's36:13going to work it out." Because that's36:14also obviously from the enemy. It's36:16twofold, right? You got to sit there and36:18go, "Okay, I'm going to trust in God and36:21I'm going to trust that he's going to36:23work it out. That no matter what I do,36:25he's going to work it out." And36:26honestly, even if people who've sat36:28there, I've seen people who've sat there36:30and like things happen to them, too. So,36:32and then I've seen people who sat there36:34and didn't and things didn't happen for36:35them and people judged him. You're lazy.36:37You can't just sit there and be this and36:38this and this and this, right? We had36:40Santa Cruz on here. He would just sit36:42there and do his own thing. And then all36:44of a sudden, one day he was like36:46something happened, right, with his36:48father, etc. And it that's what impacted36:50him. It changed him to go from I'm going36:53to do crazy things. All right, I got to36:55lock in. And he's Mr. Lock in now,36:57right? At the same time, like I would36:59say that's God and he's coming back to37:01it because of things like that, right?37:03You could say, "Yeah, I did this and I37:04work out and I do." But it's like, bro,37:06at the end of the day, that needed to37:07happen. That one thing right there that37:09no one can control that he didn't37:11anticipate. He had no hand in had to37:13change his life. And this is what37:14happened. This is the work of God,37:16right? We just again, we forget. We37:19forget.37:20>> Does that make sense? It37:22>> does.37:22>> Nobody told me that faith would be this37:24lonely. I thought when I gave my life to37:26God, everything would just click.37:28Community, peace, direction. A lot of us37:30are out here just trying to figure it37:31out alone. Your family thinks it's a37:33phase. You go to church on Sunday,37:35you're smiling, and then on Monday,37:37reality hits and you're back alone in37:39your home in your thoughts. I know37:41exactly what that's like. I got out of37:42prison at the age of 25. I didn't have a37:44church home. I didn't have friends. I37:46didn't even really have family to back37:48me up. I had God. I had a Bible. But37:50more importantly than anything, I had a37:52pastor who I could lean on to ask37:54questions and to just receive mentorship37:55and have fellowship with. And the thing37:57that changed everything for me wasn't37:59just studying alone. It was actually38:00having someone I could bring my real38:02questions to. Not the Sunday school38:04questions, the real ones, the ones that38:06keep you up at night. The ones that make38:08you feel unworthy because you can't38:09figure it out on your own. Therefore,38:11you feel as if you're less of a38:13Christian. That's why every single38:14Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Standard38:16Time, I go live inside the Core of the38:17Heart daily app. First, we do a full38:19Bible class, real teaching, not that38:21surface level stuff. We go super deep.38:24Then, we open it up, group mentorship.38:26You bring your real questions, not the38:28polished ones, and I answer them with38:29scriptures and honesty based off of real38:31struggles that I went through in my38:33life. You were never supposed to do this38:34alone, and now you don't have to. Bible38:36class every Saturday at 10:00 a.m.38:38Pacific Standard Time. Can't wait to see38:39you guys there. And I think the other38:41layer to it if if of like the person38:44that doesn't uh believe in God is also38:47the position I came in because I tried38:49to disprove that there was God and38:51believe in other things is38:52>> and look at you now.38:53>> You just come to the end of yourself.38:56You'll one day meet a tattooed Chinese38:57man who'll make fun of the way you talk39:00[laughter]39:01and he'll blame things on you to an39:03audience of hundreds of thousands of39:05people and then39:06>> people literally thought you were the39:08reason why the stream crashed.39:10>> They were serious.39:11>> Some of them it was I was in the back39:13like unplug [laughter] the app.39:16>> The stream is powered by a hamster wheel39:18and Jeremy wasn't [laughter] running39:19fast enough.39:20>> I know Jeremy was not Flintstoning39:21enough.39:22>> Yeah, I was whipping him back there39:23faster. Yeah, the crashing.39:25>> Yeah, the the infrastructure is built by39:27Aaron. [laughter]39:29>> It's like Legos39:32>> loading.39:32>> Guys, guys, by the way, like let's just39:34let them know like [laughter] uh39:36>> Aaron built the current core of the39:38heart website.39:39>> Oh, sure. Okay. I have a quick little39:40announcement for everyone. Okay. Go39:41ahead.39:42>> The new core of the heart website is now39:44live.39:45>> Oh, yes. You're kind of40:09>> basically the free live events are only40:11free because we spend a lot of money40:13like thousands and thousands like well40:15over $10,000 to be honest with you guys.40:17>> Double double that more than that. I40:19handled the finances. Basically, um, we40:22just do that because we want to bring40:23free live events and spread the gospel40:24and that's the point of the community40:25outreach. Just wanted to announce41:09that to everyone.41:10>> If you hate it, it's Aaron's fault, not41:12mine. [laughter]41:12>> No, it's so fire though.41:14>> It's good.41:15>> And I seen it. I was like, what?41:17>> That came out of Aaron's brain. all of41:19Clipping Class, too. Like, um I won't41:22I'll do a clipping class ad separately,41:24but we have a whole program for people41:25who clip Johnny's content. There's a ton41:27of rewards. You can sign up.41:36[laughter] It's crazy. The website is41:38cool.41:38>> I'm just laughing because um when you41:41say skip the lines, all the Clippers or41:43people that come, they end up anyway.41:46>> Yeah. They volunteer anyways and their41:47last ones in. But we give them great41:48seats. We give them great seats.41:49>> That's how we've met a lot of people.41:51>> They like to help. They like to help.41:52>> If you if you come VIP from clipping,41:54then you turn into a volunteer which is41:56even cooler.41:57>> Facts though.41:58>> Um but yeah, everyone go check out the41:59new website. It's awesome. It's great.42:01>> Yeah,42:02>> true.42:03>> That all came from42:06Chinese guy tattoos.42:09Anyways, moving on. So why are most42:12Christians still trusting themselves?42:15Because most people weren't taught how42:17to tell the difference between God's42:19voice and like their own voice. They42:21kind of like mixed the two together,42:23right? And again, this is not their42:25fault. When you look at Isaiah 55:8, it42:28says, "For my thoughts are not your42:30thoughts, neither are my ways your42:32ways." God is saying, "My thoughts are42:34not your thoughts. My way is not your42:36way." But what do we think as human42:39beings? No, my thoughts are God's42:40thoughts. If I feel good things and God42:42is good, 1 plus 1 equals two. We're42:45connected. That's what it is. And so,42:46we're not taught those types of things,42:48right? And so, the the true gospel of42:51the world is not the Christian gospel.42:55The gospel of the world is follow your42:58thoughts, follow your feelings, right?43:00And what most Christians don't realize,43:03which is what I was also telling the43:04homie was, if you only follow when you43:07agree and it matches your thoughts, who43:10are you genuinely following? And he was43:12like, "Myself, right?" And I'm like,43:14"Amen." So that's the issue here is they43:17take that worldly gospel, the gospel of43:20the world, okay? Not the true biblical43:21go. I'm talking about the world's gospel43:24is follow yourself, trust yourself,43:26follow your heart, be a good person,43:28produce good, do good works, try your43:31best, do better. They take that same43:34energy and they mix it into the gospel,43:37the true biblical gospel. Okay? Yes, of43:39course, I have to rely on God, but I43:42also have thoughts from God and I have43:43to trust myself, too. They try to mix43:46these two things together and through43:48that it becomes, like I said,43:49convoluted. It becomes confusing. you43:52become like very like wait but I I do43:54have thought I'm made in the image of43:56God but then I can't trust my thoughts43:58but then my heart is good but then the44:00Bible says it's not it's not good so44:02it's just all this confusion and like44:04what they say lukewarm right you're44:06sitting there and you're just like okay44:07I'll trust my thoughts also trust the44:09word of God and that's why your lives44:11probably look like roller coasters right44:13that happy sad up and down comes from44:15wait I thought God told me to go in this44:18direction like how many of us have done44:20that right in chat. I'm sure the44:23comments you guys can you know what the44:25viewers you guys know like man I thought44:27God gave me this job. God literally44:30opened the way and then what why did he44:31close it? And again it's because we're44:34trusting our thoughts and what we44:36thought and what we felt and what we saw44:38versus actually going to scripture. And44:41this this happens across the board.44:44Whether it's prayers, whether it's44:46fasting, whether it's I'm going to give44:48money. I've known people who've donated44:50100k to a church and said God from the44:53sky in a voice auditory voice told them44:57told this guy give 100k and god will45:00bless you and then when he went he45:02literally went bankrupt he lost his45:04marriage he lost his family basically45:07cuz they were like why would you do that45:08you have 100k in savings why would you45:10give up our savings you don't care oh45:12god told me to and he was so serious45:15about it now he's part of core of the45:17heart and he's Like, dude, I no one ever45:19taught me the difference between my45:21voice and God's voice. I thought my45:23voice was God's voice. And that's the45:25issue with so many people, right? A lot45:27of people keep that gospel of the world45:30and then they add Jesus on top of that.45:32Basically, no, no, no. The true gospel45:34is deny yourself, remove yourself.45:37Thoughts, feelings, emotions, right?45:38Have to go away. When it comes to the45:40word of God, only the word of God has to45:42remain. What people do is no, no, no, I45:45can keep myself. forget the45:47transformation part, keep myself and add45:49Jesus on top of that. And then it's45:50mixed now. It's me plus Jesus. And45:52that's why they're struggling so much.45:54They can't read the Bible. They get45:56sleepy when they crack open the Bible.45:58They can't be corrected because in their46:00heart there's this heart of like, well,46:01I'm God's son. I'm saved. So, I have the46:04Holy Spirit. You have the Holy Spirit.46:06Listen to your Holy Spirit. I'll listen46:07to my Holy Spirit. And it becomes this.46:09That's why there's one Bible, 44,00046:11denominations. It's literally this heart46:13posture of like, man, I feel it though.46:17And that's the one thing that I really46:18want to talk about, too, is feelings.46:20Feelings is is so dangerous, right?46:23Because you're sitting there and you're46:25like, I got goosebumps. I felt the46:28presence of God and that's how I know it46:31was from God, right? At the end of the46:33day, feelings can feel spiritual, but46:37they're not spiritual because once you46:39die, you don't feel anything, right? You46:41go to the the the graveyard, you go to46:43the cemetery, a person is not feeling46:46any love. They're dead. So feelings are46:48fleshly.46:50Spiritual things and things like that is46:52different. The word of God is the truth.46:54It doesn't talk about feelings. You46:55don't have to feel anything, right? And46:57so I liken it to kind of like people who47:00have children, right? Like Pastor John,47:03you know, taught me this early on. He47:05goes, you know, I have my son Isaiah. He47:08goes, "Johnny, like, do I have to feel47:10like every day?" Yes, God. I feel like47:13that's my son. You know, sometimes he's47:16like, "Isaiah is so bad." Especially47:17because Isaiah punched this one kid and47:19got suspended, which is crazy in47:20kindergarten, right? He's just like me47:22and his dad. Basically punched this kid,47:24got suspended, and he was basically47:28like, you know, why did I like why did I47:31have this kid? He was like keeping it47:32real. He's like, my son, bro, is like47:34horrible at 5 years old, grew up in the47:36church, has everything. he's over here47:37assaulting people, right? And so even47:40though he felt like ah why did I have47:42him? Does that then automatically make47:44his son like not his son? It changes the47:47position in his identity and like his,47:49you know, relationship. No. And even if47:51he sits there and goes, I love this47:52person so much. Does that then make him47:54more of his son? It's like no. Whether47:56you feel it or not, that's your kid,47:58right? Whether you feel it or not,47:59that's your parent, that's your family,48:01whatever. So God is so clear about that.48:03You don't have to feel anything. You48:05have to believe. You have to believe48:07things. And sometimes I would argue you48:10have to believe even more. You have to48:11have faith because you know the the48:14layer of of faith is belief, right? You48:17have to believe more when you don't feel48:19something. That's when you really have48:21to have faith. It's like I don't feel48:23like this husband is from God. This wife48:25is from God. This job is from God. This48:27you you don't feel it, but that's when48:29you have to go God, I believe you. Like48:31you obviously gave this to me. Let me48:33move forward. And so a lot of Christians48:35don't don't move by belief.48:38They move by feelings. They they believe48:41their feelings. And again, that's a48:42problem because now they don't even48:45realize their feelings, their Holy48:46Spirit, all of that stuff is from their48:49feelings. That's their God now. And so48:52that's the number one thing. So if you48:53guys want to go deeper with the Bible48:55unlocks and just having these biblical48:57resources, guys, we created an app48:59called Core of the Heart Daily. So, it49:21will answer your questions when you49:23don't have that pastor at 2:00 a.m. in49:25the night time and you're spiraling. And49:26check it out, guys. If you want to49:28download it, it's on the app store49:29called Core of the Heart Daily. Link is49:31in the description. Back to the episode.49:33Let's say your discernment is just bad,49:36right? Uh like because I think that49:38there's situations where you could be49:40like, "All right, I'm going to pray on49:41this and I'm going to read the word. I'm49:43going to do exactly what Johnny says.49:45>> Maybe you convince yourself. You pray49:47one day and you just get a feeling." Or49:49you read the word and you read and you49:50read. They really try to follow your49:52instruction.49:53>> Yeah.49:53>> But it ends up not being the right49:55thing. What were they supposed to do at49:58that point? Right.49:59>> Well, if you follow my instruction, you50:00wouldn't first and foremost, you50:02wouldn't read to get just a direction.50:05You would read for like alignment,50:06right? It's it's not like I'm going to50:08read and I'm going to follow you and50:11then I'm going to receive these things.50:12Like,50:12>> Johnny, I have a deadline. I got to make50:14a decision in a week.50:15>> Make a decision then and move by faith.50:17You don't even have to read the Bible if50:18that's the case.50:19>> Okay?50:19>> Make a decision, move by faith. Like I50:21said, foundationally, you have to50:23believe and God will work. And I'm50:25talking about like even if you fell, if50:28you're supposed to go left and God and50:30you know you're supposed to go left and50:32then you made a decision to go right,50:34you don't think that God is going to50:36change you to go back to the left. Like50:38he's just going to go, "Oh, too bad. Oh50:40my god, he's going left. Oh no, I can't50:42help him. Oh no, God of this universe50:44created everything. Hung the stars in50:45the sky. I can't help you. Free will.50:47Free will. You just got to like he's50:49going to change you." There's times50:51where I was like, I'm done with church.50:53I believed it wholeheartedly.50:56I was like, I'm done with church. Forget50:58these people, man. They don't preach the51:00good news. They preach the bad news.51:02Like, I was so mad at them.51:04>> Got him.51:04>> Right. I was like, bad news. You guys51:06suck. And then like I came back. I came51:11back when I was empty. And I realized51:13something. Dang. As much as I am sitting51:16here trying to go to other churches,51:18trying to hear other sermons, no one is51:20preaching the the gospel, right? at51:22least not in my area. And it just led me51:25to come back and be like, "Pastor, I'm51:27sorry." You know, I I don't know why.51:29And then you would think, "Yeah, I got51:31it this time. I trusted that. Yeah, I51:33got it, man. I'm never going to leave.51:34I'm never doing that again." Sure,51:37buddy. Got mad again. What? But that's51:40not right, though. How could they treat51:41that brother like what the heck, though?51:43They play favoritis. Oh, and I dipped.51:45And then I came back again and I'm like,51:46"Yo, what the hell is wrong with me?"51:49And it took multiple times for me to go,51:52I'm messed up. That's the problem with51:54me. It's what I'm realizing is they're51:58not exalting me. And because they're not52:00exalting me, I'm mad now. And I have to52:03vilify the church. They have to be wrong52:06so that I could be right. Right. And52:08that's just the truth. Cuz if I go out52:10there and people really ask me and I go,52:12"I was just, you know, a little52:13sensitive gang member. Yeah, I wasn't52:15really a man. That's why I left." They52:17said some things. They said, you know,52:18that I need to be much more mature. Huh?52:20And I got mad at them and left. People52:22would look at me and be like, "You're52:24dumb." So, what did I have to do? Oh,52:26you know, the thing was I poured my52:28heart there. Yeah, they saved me, but I52:30did this. I did that. And I was like52:32trying to be right. And even though I52:34was saying that, there was that inkling52:36in me was like, "Bro, you're a fraud,52:38dog. Like, you you're just trying to52:40make them look bad because you don't52:42want to look bad." Like even when I did52:45that, I sat there and I had to sit in52:47those nights and go, "Bro, you're just52:49pissed off cuz they didn't edify you,52:50Johnny. No, I'm not. No." And then I52:53tried like fight myself. It was crazy.52:54And I would sit there and go, "Yeah,52:55that's so true." When I realize and52:58acknowledge that about myself, that's53:00when I was able to to to grow. And so it53:03takes a lot of acknowledgement again.53:05But you can't acknowledge if you don't53:06believe. People are very good at going,53:09I don't believe that, though. and they53:11can put that in a different compartment53:12in their brain, their subconscious, and53:14go, "No, that wasn't me." One person53:17who's really good at that is my dad. My53:19dad has cheated on my mom multiple53:22times. Has brought girls like home. I53:25remember I was like young and I was53:26like, "Is this mommy?" Like, I didn't53:28even understand. Oh, that's funny,53:30Jeremy. [laughter]53:35>> That's funny, Jeremy. [laughter]53:37>> No, I don't know. a a five-year-old53:39going, "Mommy,53:41>> are you my mommy?" And you're over here53:43like,53:43>> "No." [snorts] I53:45>> You had a dad53:46>> who cheated on your mom.53:49>> No, just kidding. [laughter]53:50>> That's hilarious to Jeremy.53:52>> Legit, Jeremy. That was crazy.53:54>> Oh, no.53:55That's a [laughter] terrible Didn't you53:57also Didn't he laugh at this? He didn't54:00laugh.54:00>> That's a terrible trauma. I would never54:02laugh at something like that. [laughter]54:03>> Are you kidding me? I'm here almost54:05tearing up. But just the way you acted54:07it out was like kind of cartoony.54:10>> I know.54:11>> You have no soul. [laughter]54:14>> That's why he needs salvation and he got54:16salvation. No, no, no. Jokes aside54:18though,54:18>> we're going to square up in heaven.54:19>> Yeah. [laughter]54:20>> So, I [snorts] sat there and I'm like,54:22"Dude, is this like But my dad goes,54:24I've never cheated on your mom."54:27Like legit. I'm And when I look into my54:30dad's eyes,54:32he bro believes that, bro. He's like,54:35"When? When did I ever do that? When?"54:38And I'm just like, and I'm looking at my54:40brother and my brother's like, "This was54:43burnt out." Burnt out in prison means54:44like he's mental. He's like, "Don't even54:47Johnny, don't even talk. Look at this54:48food. Oh, he doesn't even he doesn't54:50even know what he's talking about. Like54:50he's he's burnt." And I'm like, "Bro,54:53you really think that?" I would have54:54conversations with my brother. Bro, you54:56really think that, bro? He's like,54:57"Dude, look at him. He actually believes54:59it." Bro doesn't remember anything. My55:02dad's like, I remember like maybe one55:04time he did this multiple times.55:07Multiple times. And like for some55:09reason, you can go ploop, I don't know.55:12I don't remember that. I'm 72 years old55:14now. I don't like it was so crazy. What55:16what I'm why I'm saying this is it55:18proves that you can sit there and55:20convince yourself, right? George Jenko55:22said something really really barsy. He's55:24like, I'm really good at convincing and55:26lying to myself, too, where I can make55:28myself truly believe what I'm saying.55:31And I'm like, sheesh, that's exactly how55:33my pops is. Then I look back at my life55:35and I did the same thing, too. I was55:37like, oh yeah, I I didn't do those55:38things like to help me sleep. I didn't55:40do those things. Like, I could do that,55:42too. All of us can do that. But when55:44you're alone, which I think my dad has55:46probably had to do this multiple times,55:48and you're actually reflecting and you55:50have to face yourself and you have55:52nowhere to run, which is what happened55:54during those nights that I would run55:55away from church and I'll be in the55:57streets again. I really had to look back55:59and go, "Bro, I it's me. Yeah, I'll get56:02mad if they say it to me, but like I56:04it's me now. I'm telling myself now.56:05Like, am I gonna lie to myself, too?"56:07And that was the one thing I think I56:09received grace not to do was to go,56:11"Yeah, I messed up, too, man." And I56:13don't want to be messed up. And so, you56:16know, it comes down to to, you know,56:19basically acknowledgement,56:21belief, and trusting that, okay, my56:24pastor is not just gonna say something56:26like that to hurt me. He's not going to56:27like manipulate me so much where he56:30saved my soul, helped me, helped guide56:33me, nurture me, and then what? He says56:35one thing I don't like, and then now56:36he's the enemy, and he's the worst56:38thing, and he's a manipulator and a cult56:40leader. And it's like, come on, man.56:42Like, you just don't want to be wrong.56:44And that's just what I had to realize,56:46bro, you just don't want to be wrong.56:48Just be wrong. What's wrong with being56:50wrong? And those are the things that56:52I've learned and I share with my56:53congregation. I see it on the Discord56:55all the time. Like people be sitting56:57there and they they they can't be wrong.57:00They'll sit there and they'll just ask57:02hella questions and I'm like, "Bro,57:04you're just asking questions because you57:06have like darkness in your heart, right?57:08Meaning like you just you just want to57:10be exalted." And they're like, "No, no,57:12it's just a question." They start57:13getting mad. And I'm like, do they not57:15sit at home at night and really look57:17back at their lives and be like, "Dude,57:19I literally like have nothing. I'm not57:22happy. How can you lie to yourself about57:25that?" You know, like have some respect57:28for yourself, too. That's what pastor57:29said that really cracked me. He's like,57:31"Have some respect for yourself, Johnny.57:34You could lie to everybody. You could57:36even lie to God." Whatever. But what57:38about yourself? Like, bro, have some57:40respect for yourself, you know? And I57:41was like,57:42>> you have some respect for yourself, but57:44I'll walk away.57:45>> Got him. Right. [laughter]57:46>> Bad news. Got it.57:48>> Bad news. And And that one, too, dude.57:52You had singers back then.57:53>> I would just like throw it back at57:54people. You do that. You suck. You suck.57:58Straight up like fiveyear-old freaking58:00>> I know what you are, but what am I?58:02>> Right. Literally, bro. And so I would do58:05that and leave and then go, man, what58:07the hell is wrong with me, bro? Like, oh58:09my gosh, were you guys ever like that?58:11Like I'm saying like as adults though,58:13you guys are like that as kids.58:15>> You can never be wrong.58:17>> Legit like kids, bro. Like it's58:19genuinely hard when I'm actually right58:21though with evidence. No, I'm just58:22kidding. [laughter]58:23No, for you it's it takes it to the next58:26tier. There's people who can never be58:28wrong for you. You can't even let anyone58:30else be right. Even if you didn't say58:33anything and someone says something, you58:35even they can't be right. Oh,58:37>> wait. Where is this coming from? Dr.58:40Phil, Dr. Chang, you need to you need to58:42mediate.58:43>> Oh, that's a truth right there.58:45[laughter]58:45>> Context.58:48That came out of nowhere. That was58:50>> You said Dr. Phil. It's like, "Well,58:52that's a truth, Jeremy."58:55>> Aaron, do you have something you could58:56get off your chest?58:58>> To the farm.58:59>> No, he's just like, "Have you guys ever59:01felt that before?" And I'm like, "I59:02know. I think I know someone who might59:05have felt that before.59:08>> I raised my hand." Okay,59:09>> I'm just kidding. The thing is, I'm also59:11like that, too. I I I just call you out59:12for it. But I'm I'm the same way where59:14like even if it's something so minute59:16that doesn't matter at all, I sometimes59:19I can't I'll have to be like correct.59:21about posting a live video clip in real59:23time. Is that what's59:26[laughter]59:27>> No,59:28they're saying in general it's kind of a59:30joke that like you can't be wrong or59:31like everything you like is the best or59:33you can't like two things at once. It's59:35like59:35>> you know why though? We're taught in59:37this world though, at least what I've59:39recognized is59:41>> it's like bad to be wrong. Like it's59:43weak. You know what I'm saying? But I59:46always ask my congregation all the time59:48like what's so wrong with being wrong?59:50like what's wrong with like just not not59:53having the answers to everything and59:56they literally are like dang nothing.59:59>> Well, maybe in [laughter]1:00:03that look is that look is I'm about to1:00:05cook you once you finish your sentence,1:00:07>> Jeremy. I never cook you.1:00:10>> You do it nicely.1:00:11>> Do I really?1:00:12>> Yeah. You go well uh1:00:18right there that line. Well, what's the1:00:19problem of being wrong? It's like,1:00:20[laughter]1:00:22well, no, no problem with being wrong.1:00:24I'm just saying that maybe there sit1:00:25maybe they're in situations where some1:00:28people out there will then use it1:00:30against them.1:00:31>> Right.1:00:32>> True.1:00:32>> Like, oh, you were wrong this time.1:00:35>> I know.1:00:36>> Yes, you may. You may speak your1:00:38podcast.1:00:38>> Thank you, sir. Thank you. Thank you so1:00:39much. Thank you so much.1:00:40>> And please raise your hand a little more1:00:42like it. It distracted me. It cut me off1:00:44when you threw your arm up.1:00:45>> Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Star of the show.1:00:46Sorry. Star of the show.1:00:48>> [laughter]1:00:48>> star of the show is entered, right?1:00:51Amen, Jeremy.1:00:52>> Amen. I've feels good. Respect feels1:00:56good, [laughter]1:00:57deserved, earned.1:00:58>> I got asked that on the Discord, too.1:01:01And um I was like, do you guys think1:01:03that God would just let you like let1:01:05these people like walk all over you? So,1:01:08I I'll give you an example. when my mom1:01:11truly gave up on my dad [clears throat]1:01:13and was like, "I'm giving you up to, you1:01:17know, I'm giving my husband up to you."1:01:19I remember. And then she would say the1:01:21same about me. I'm giving up my my my1:01:23son to you. I'm not the mom. You're the1:01:26parent. You take care of it. Bro, God1:01:27worked in my life so fast. Worked in my1:01:30life my dad's life so fast, bro. But1:01:33when you're sitting there and you're1:01:34like, "No, like I'm going to give it up1:01:36to God, but I still like am praying for1:01:39them to like change so that I can like1:01:41love on them better and I don't want1:01:42them to deal with like there's still1:01:44this heart of like they want control."1:01:47If you can't fully let it go and I know1:01:49the next question is going to be, but1:01:51how do you let go? And I'm getting1:01:52there. I'm getting there. Don't go1:01:55anywhere. Don't go anywhere. Remember1:01:56that? He's like, I'm getting there.1:01:58Don't go any right. Um, so when my mom1:02:01did that, [clears throat] first and1:02:03foremost, the reason why she was able to1:02:05even release was she recognized that she1:02:08wasn't the person in control. This1:02:10illusion of you're in control is what I1:02:14think the whole world is deceived by. If1:02:16you really think about it, we're taught1:02:19you're in control, but it's like, can1:02:21you guarantee you'll wake up tomorrow or1:02:24can you guarantee even the opposite?1:02:26You'll die tomorrow.1:02:27>> I had just intrusive thought. I was1:02:29like, I bet you $100 I'll wake up1:02:31tomorrow [laughter] just to Okay, never1:02:33mind.1:02:35[panting]1:02:35>> I had an intrusive thought for that1:02:37intrusive thought.1:02:38>> Say you are going to guarantee his1:02:40money.1:02:41>> I'm not going to say1:02:42>> you were going to shoot me, weren't you?1:02:43>> No, I was like, I not if I send the1:02:45little homies.1:02:47>> Guys, our live events are getting super1:02:49packed. We genuinely need some help. So,1:02:51we're looking for a live events1:02:53producer.1:02:54>> So, I'm going to be completely honest1:02:55about this. There's a lot of moving1:02:57pieces from booking a church, finding1:02:59the vendors, scanning in the people, the1:03:01volunteers, the merch. Like, there's so1:03:03many moving pieces that I'm just going1:03:04to say right now, we're looking for a1:03:06professional. We're looking for someone1:03:07who has done this before. If you're1:03:08watching and you're like, "Oh, I think I1:03:10can help their live events." Honestly,1:03:11you're probably not the pick. But if1:03:13you're watching and you're saying, "Oh,1:03:14I've done this before. I've thrown live1:03:15events. I've even maybe worked in a1:03:16church space." Please reach out. We're1:03:18looking for a killer, someone who can1:03:20really coordinate everything. It's a ton1:03:21of moving pieces. At the end of the day,1:03:23it's nothing too hard or complicated,1:03:25but it's a lot of details, a lot of1:03:26moving pieces, and for us to be doing1:03:28this every single month, once a month or1:03:30even more, it's almost impossible1:03:31because we each run different branches1:03:33of the business. So, for us to do these1:03:34ourselves, it's becoming unscalable. So,1:03:36if you think, you know, you know, I can1:03:38come in, take this over, I'll learn from1:03:40them, we'll teach you everything, and1:03:42you think I can take the information and1:03:43go throw them live events every single1:03:45month in a different city for the rest1:03:47of the next 10 years. If you're hearing1:03:49this and you think that's you, please1:03:50reach out. We pay super competitively.1:03:52We have honestly a really good pay for1:03:54you guys because we really want to do1:03:55this. Live events are super important to1:03:57Johnny and all of us and all of you1:03:58guys. So, we want to keep doing them. We1:04:00want to keep making them super amazing.1:04:02And that's why honestly we're looking1:04:03for a killer. Like it. We're not really1:04:05going to hire anyone to test them out or1:04:07try to train. We're looking for someone1:04:08who has done this before and is ready to1:04:10do it for us. And we're going to pay you1:04:12very handsomely for it. So, please reach1:04:14out. The best way to do it, there's a1:04:15link in the description. There's a job1:04:16application that details everything and1:04:18the pay. So, please fill it out. Please1:04:20pay attention to the instructions.1:04:22There's a lot of instructions that if1:04:23you don't pay attention to them, we're1:04:25not even going to look at your1:04:26application. So, cutting to the chase,1:04:28we're looking for a live events killer.1:04:29If you are that person or if you know1:04:31that person, if someone at your church1:04:33maybe throws the events, if you want to1:04:34recommend it to a friend or a family1:04:36member, we want an awesome beast live1:04:38events producer. The last thing I'll add1:04:41is you're going to be handling1:04:42everything from thousand to 5,000 person1:04:44live events. We do prison ministry,1:04:47overseas trips. We want to do we have1:04:49big plans to take care of the heart1:04:50global and you would be the lynch pin1:04:53that controls all of that. So with that1:04:55being said again like Aaron said I'm1:04:57only harping it again. There's a lot of1:05:00people that are applying because you1:05:01have a heart for the mission which is1:05:03great but only because of past1:05:05experiences. We have a very particular1:05:07vision of what this person needs to be.1:05:09We're also being advised by people that1:05:11have done this at extremely high level1:05:13who are helping us vet the applications.1:05:15So, it's going to be a very like select1:05:19group of people that are looking at your1:05:21application. So, please do not be1:05:23offended if we don't pick you. Just1:05:24understand we have a lot of input and we1:05:27are very specific on what we need. So,1:05:29we're very appreciative if you try, but1:05:31please again understand that we've we've1:05:33gone through a lot of ups and downs to1:05:35understand what we need or want.1:05:37>> So, if you want to apply, the link is in1:05:38the description. Also, for anyone else1:05:40still listening, if you want to come to1:05:41these awesome live events, text in after1:05:44to 323-61335771:05:48for free live events in a city near you1:05:50>> or download Core of the Heart daily.1:05:51>> I genuinely want to thank you guys for1:05:54tuning in and just supporting Core of1:05:56the Heart. Without you guys, we1:05:58obviously we wouldn't be able to go1:06:00global and so we are looking for that1:06:03that perfect piece, right, to uh take us1:06:06global and help us with the live events.1:06:07So, if that's you, we really do1:06:09appreciate you guys for for applying and1:06:12um hope to work with you guys soon.1:06:14Yeah, but uh dang, I lost my train of1:06:16thought, man.1:06:17>> Um1:06:18>> I know now what it is.1:06:19>> Okay,1:06:20>> I lost it again.1:06:22>> You were saying you were basically1:06:23saying, [laughter]1:06:26>> leave that in.1:06:27>> You were saying you can't even guarantee1:06:28that you're going to wake up.1:06:30>> Yeah. Yeah.1:06:30>> And then I rudely interrupted.1:06:32>> Yeah. You're not Oh my gosh. What was I1:06:35trying to get to that point though? I1:06:36was like, I know you guys are going to1:06:38have1:06:38>> because it was like, how do I fully1:06:40surrender? Am I surrendering? And1:06:41>> my mom, so [clears throat]1:06:44she first realized, I'm not in control1:06:47cuz she genuinely wasn't. Pastor told1:06:49her like, "Were you in control when you1:06:52had cancer?" And she was like, "No." Did1:06:55you receive it by yourself? Did you cure1:06:57it by yourself? No. So that means you're1:06:59not in control. And then he like was1:07:01like, "Can you wake up if you decide to1:07:03wake up?" When God goes, "No, you're not1:07:04waking up tomorrow." No. Right. And so1:07:07control is an illusion. Now obviously1:07:10you wake up and you go, "Okay, I1:07:12appreciate the control. I I appreciate1:07:14God has given me mercy every morning."1:07:16Lamentations chapter 3, but I can never1:07:20and must never mistaken that what God1:07:23has given me grace on, I can control1:07:25that. You can't control those things. So1:07:27she was like, "Oh my gosh, the unlock1:07:30was the whole time I was trying to1:07:33control my husband, not in a controlling1:07:36way, but to think that if I did X, Y,1:07:38and Z, this would then lead him to do X,1:07:41Y, and Z." Right? It's like, no, I don't1:07:43have control. And it really was1:07:45different, man. After like that that1:07:49day, my mom gave that testimony at this1:07:52was at the Chinese church, too. So she1:07:54was like deep with it. She spoke in1:07:56Mandarin. And I understood it clearly.1:07:57She's like, "Today I really do release,1:07:59you know, my husband." And I'm just1:08:01like, in my head, I was like, "Good1:08:05luck, [laughter]1:08:06cuz bro is going to just literally1:08:08demolish you now." Like you think you1:08:10were living bad. Like I had those1:08:12intrusive. It was so bad. And I feel1:08:13shameful for saying that, honestly. But1:08:15I did. Man, my dad really did start to1:08:18change, man. He started to be like, "Oh,1:08:22like what's changing?" you know what's1:08:25changing Johnny like oh he started to1:08:27notice little things like oh you can go1:08:29to church before my dad would literally1:08:31be like my mom would bust open the Bible1:08:33and my dad would get violent he would be1:08:36like why are you why are you opening up1:08:38the Bible why this is fake only dumb1:08:42people like you go to church look at you1:08:44you freaking read from a book like what1:08:47did I marry bl you would talk hella1:08:49trash but after that day I I can't I1:08:52have pretty good memory but I can't1:08:53remember a time where my dad did that. I1:08:56I do remember it was like crazy. He was1:09:00sitting there and my mom opened up the1:09:02Bible and then my dad was sitting there1:09:05and he was like, "Can I ask you why do1:09:08you read this book so much?" Like, "What1:09:10is it that makes you so happy about1:09:12reading this book versus going on a walk1:09:15or doing yoga or eating a a good meal?"1:09:18Like, and then my mom was so shocked1:09:22that she just stared at him like,1:09:25"What?" And then I'm looking at her1:09:27like, "Mom, he's he's opening up, you1:09:30know, and she's like, "Oh, well, I don't1:09:33know. I just it just gives me life." She1:09:34gave like the worst explanation. It1:09:36gives me life and it's really good and,1:09:39you know, it gives me peace. And in my1:09:42head, I'm like, he's like letting you,1:09:44bro, like go deeper, like preach. And1:09:46she wouldn't preach. She's like, "Oh."1:09:48And he's like, "Oh, does it really make1:09:50you happy?" And she's like, "Yeah."1:09:53Then he's like, "Oh." And the one thing1:09:54that blew my mind was my dad goes, "I do1:09:58see that you're a lot different."1:10:00That one line I was like getting I was1:10:03like, "Whoa." And my mom got emotional.1:10:05Obviously was like, "Yo, he saw he saw."1:10:08And this was right then when my mom was1:10:10like, she stopped telling him to go to1:10:12church. She stopped saying, "I'm going1:10:13to, you know, making him read the1:10:15Bible." She stopped saying that if you1:10:16don't receive salvation, you're going to1:10:18go to hell. Like that would trigger my1:10:20dad, too. You know, it's okay. God1:10:22doesn't judge you for all the things you1:10:23did. I didn't do anything. What are you1:10:25talking about? I don't need judgment. I1:10:26don't no one I didn't do anything bad.1:10:28Right? She stopped doing that. And then1:10:30that's I think what my dad saw was the1:10:32change was like, yo, she's not coming at1:10:34me foul anymore. She's not trying to1:10:36push her religion on me anymore. And1:10:37like that taught me early on to be like,1:10:40oh, I don't need to force it. If I just1:10:43walk the walk, talk the talk, people are1:10:45going to gravitate towards me. And1:10:46that's genuinely what's happened till1:10:48this day, right? So again, going back to1:10:51the original question, it's like1:10:53[clears throat]1:10:54you don't have control of anything1:10:55though. Like once you realize that, then1:10:58you're able to truly let go. You're able1:11:00to go, okay, I don't have control.1:11:02[clears throat] I don't save them. They1:11:04don't have to listen to me. They can1:11:06continue to judge me. Till this day,1:11:08there's still friends of mine that judge1:11:09me that I called my homies. people who1:11:11know my deepest, darkest secrets, man.1:11:13Honestly, they could genuinely bury me,1:11:16right? If they knew the things that we1:11:18did together and all this stuff and they1:11:19crashed out, but it's like at the end of1:11:22the day, they're not, you know, I I1:11:24leave them up to God and I'm not over1:11:26here like I need to convince them. I1:11:28need to bring them to heaven with me. I1:11:29got to break their arm. Even if I have1:11:31to save them, like I have to break their1:11:33arm to do it, I don't care. Like, it's I1:11:35just I'm been so much more peaceful1:11:37because of that. and you start to1:11:39believe in the one who's truly in1:11:41control, which is God, which is God.1:11:45>> There's this one question that I've been1:11:47getting asked pretty recently and I kind1:11:49of want to touch upon. It's how do you1:11:52know if the guidance is from if the1:11:54guidance that you're receiving is from1:11:55the Holy Spirit or if it's from yourself1:11:57or if it's just from another spirit, the1:11:59unholy spirit. Right? It's very simple,1:12:01guys. It's always going to confirm1:12:03scripture. The Holy Spirit is called the1:12:05spirit of truth. It's found in John1:12:0716:13. It's called the spirit of truth.1:12:10And what it does is when it comes, it's1:12:12going to remind you of all truth and1:12:14lead you to all truth. And it's going to1:12:16remind you of everything that the truth1:12:19is, the scriptures, what it says. Right1:12:21now, we know in John 14:6 that Jesus1:12:24Christ is the life, the way, the truth.1:12:27And so, if we puzzle that together and p1:12:30put it together, Holy Spirit will always1:12:32lead you back to Jesus Christ. And Jesus1:12:36Christ, it doesn't stop there. What is1:12:38Jesus? He's called the logos, meaning1:12:40the word, right? John 1:14 confirms1:12:42this. 1 John chapter 5:7, John 1:11:12:45confirms this. Essentially, what it is1:12:47is the word was made flesh, dwelt among1:12:50us, and we beheld his glory of that of1:12:54the only begotten son of the only1:12:56begotten father, I'm sorry, full of1:12:58grace, full of truth. Right? So, he's1:13:00truth manifested, incarnate, right? And1:13:03so the Holy Spirit will always lead you1:13:05back to scripture, will always lead you1:13:06back to Jesus, which is the scripture,1:13:08right? And so that's how you know the1:13:11guidance. People sit there and they1:13:14think it's the Holy Spirit when it1:13:16confirms their feelings. Your Holy1:13:18Spirit and the Holy Spirit may may1:13:20confirm the feelings. He may confirm1:13:22your feelings, but he will always1:13:24confirm scripture, right? He may not1:13:26always confirm your feelings, but he1:13:28will always confirm scripture. And1:13:30that's how we know, right? So, can I1:13:32find scripture for it? Can I genuinely1:13:35surrender it? And does it point back to1:13:37Jesus in the word? Cuz you can sit there1:13:40and get scripture and go, "Holy Spirit's1:13:42going to give me a husband." And then1:13:44you look at someone and go, "That's my1:13:45husband." See, it says right here, it's1:13:48not good for men and women to be alone.1:13:50Whatever. Like, that's again weaving the1:13:52scripture to your heart. We have to1:13:54weave our hearts to the scripture,1:13:55right? It's it's backwards in a lot of1:13:57people. I'm going to find a scripture1:13:59that basically, you know, God answered1:14:02me. But there God answered me is really,1:14:04oh, finally I found scripture that made1:14:07sense with me and agrees with me. No, we1:14:08have to agree with scripture, not1:14:10scripture. Make scripture agree with us.1:14:12Yes.1:14:12>> Well, that's really easy for you to say1:14:14because you know a ton of scripture.1:14:16>> That's true. So obviously you can always1:14:18lean back and see if it's but it's not1:14:20like there's like a bot in my pocket1:14:22that I could ask any question about1:14:24scripture and it would like pull it up1:14:26and explain the scripture to me.1:14:27>> Right. It's not like there's like1:14:29servants that know the scripture.1:14:32>> Well, no, I'm going to checkmate both of1:14:33you.1:14:33>> Go ahead. Checkmate.1:14:34>> Well, I'm saying there is Well, we was1:14:36we did make a bot in your pocket that1:14:38you can ask about scripture whenever you1:14:39want and it'll explain.1:14:40>> I messed that up.1:14:41>> But yes, checkmate.1:14:43>> Well, my other thing was to checkmate1:14:45both of you. So let's say somebody that1:14:48is new to1:14:50you're you're pretty new to1:14:51Christianity, right? How many times have1:14:53you read the Bible?1:14:54>> First time, right? Let's say he didn't1:14:56have access to you. Didn't have access1:14:58to Gospel Bot on our beautiful core of1:14:59the heart daily app that you can now get1:15:01on the app store. Didn't have access to1:15:02that.1:15:04He could try his hardest to read it cuz1:15:07I'm also in the same boat as him.1:15:08>> No, you're just using your own thoughts1:15:10again.1:15:12No, Jerome,1:15:14>> you really So, you're really telling me1:15:16that I1:15:18>> You just are comparing. You just think1:15:20that because I have the unlocks and I1:15:22have this different perspective and that1:15:23and that and that. But Jeremy, I'm1:15:25telling you, bro.1:15:26>> Hey, man. I'm going to use your story1:15:28again. So, you said for the first five1:15:30years, you weren't saving nobody. So,1:15:32>> you know why though? Do you know why1:15:33though? Because I had your type of heart1:15:36posture.1:15:36>> Well, I can't be like them. I mean1:15:38truthfully like how could I well if1:15:40>> no my posture is not the same as yours.1:15:42Mine is God do whatever work in my life.1:15:45>> Really?1:15:46>> Yeah.1:15:46>> Who taught you that?1:15:49>> Oh, I picked it up.1:15:50>> Yeah. Okay, there you go. So, there's1:15:51your answer. [laughter]1:15:54>> There's the answer. I'm like I just I1:15:56just picked it up.1:15:57>> Exactly.1:15:57>> Caba looking I'm like I just you know1:15:59read it somewhere.1:16:00>> God came to me in a vision. No, but for1:16:03real though.1:16:03>> But for real but but I have a church, a1:16:06pastor, someone I could call on. I have1:16:07all these tools. If you don't have1:16:09>> going to give you those tools, Jeremy,1:16:11that's the thing. You got to not1:16:12>> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I get it. I get it.1:16:13The whole episode. Yeah. Sorry. I1:16:14literally started from the beginning.1:16:16>> What if you guys don't have the like but1:16:18you do if you if you're on this podcast1:16:21right now. Listen, man. Look listen1:16:23look.1:16:24>> Okay. You got resources right now. You1:16:28struggling to inspire them right now.1:16:30That's why we're here. If you if you1:16:32don't if you're asking that question,1:16:34you're being me for the first five1:16:36years. Duh. I don't know. I don't care.1:16:38Like, no. You got to sit there and be1:16:40like, "Yo, there this is a awakening1:16:42episode." Like, we have resources right1:16:44now, right? Read the Bible. Amen. But1:16:48it's true what Jeremy is saying. I'm not1:16:50saying that, you know, you can just get1:16:52and come to these conclusions. That's1:16:54why you need a church 100%. But you need1:16:57then we got to peel into that. How do1:16:58you find the right church? Who's the1:17:00people? Like if we're doing this guys,1:17:03the number one thing is that's going to1:17:05keep you at bay. Okay, let's peel this.1:17:08All right, cool. So, I learned that. I1:17:09learned that. I learned that. All right,1:17:10I'm going to apply that now. I learned1:17:11that. I learned that. Like, no. There1:17:12has to be faith. The faith is this. I1:17:15don't need to know all of that. God will1:17:17provide those things for me. Because1:17:18before you guys found this podcast and1:17:20before you found me, you weren't even1:17:21looking for those things either. You1:17:23didn't even know. Distrust your1:17:24thoughts. Follow your heart. Who lined1:17:26that up for you guys? God did. Stop1:17:28thinking that you're going to be, "Oh, I1:17:31I got to do something now." Right? Oh,1:17:32ye foolish Galatians. Galatians 3 talks1:17:34about this. Right? This is the only1:17:37thing that I want to know. He says, "Did1:17:39you receive the spirit and perfection1:17:42through the spirit or are you now trying1:17:44to make yourself righteous through the1:17:45flesh?" What I'm trying to say here is1:17:48so many people do this, right? I1:17:51understand Jeremy's heart. He's trying1:17:53to make you guys understand in a lot of1:17:55ways he's playing the devil's advocate1:17:57in this way where it's like, well, I1:17:58want to make it show. What I'm trying to1:18:00tell you guys is straight up, and I'm1:18:01just going to keep it a thousand%. You1:18:04could sit there and try to make1:18:05everything make sense to some degree,1:18:08and it's still not going to make sense1:18:09because it's you're you're the filter1:18:11still. Cuz if I sit here and I don't1:18:13make it make sense to you guys, what are1:18:14you guys going to do? Blow it off. So,1:18:17who's leading who at the end of the day?1:18:19You are. What's the whole point? to not1:18:22trust yourself, to not rely on yourself,1:18:24to rely on God. I have a co-host, I'm1:18:26sorry to say, who loves you guys and is1:18:28trying to help you guys. But what you1:18:30guys don't understand is nurturing.1:18:32Nurturing comes from you'll figure it1:18:34out because I have faith that you'll1:18:36figure it out. Pastor Kim did the same1:18:38thing for me. Johnny, he has faith. I1:18:40have faith for him. He has no faith. I'm1:18:42going to have faith for him. You guys1:18:43will figure it out. But you guys are1:18:45literally getting handheld. No1:18:47disrespect. I'm just keeping it real.1:18:49You guys did not have to go through what1:18:50I went through. And you're not going to1:18:52have to go through what I went through.1:18:53>> There's no tools out there.1:18:54>> There's literally no tools, man. I'm1:18:56sitting here. I would literally be1:18:58salivating if I had a gospel bot to sit1:19:01there and not spiral. You guys don't1:19:03know, man. I'm sorry to say. I'm not1:19:05trying to say this pridefully. Y'all1:19:07don't know what it is to sit there and1:19:08go, I have to learn Coney Greek and1:19:11Hebrew Aramaic. I have to sit there and1:19:13I have to pay money to go, what does1:19:15this mean in the Septuagen? And what1:19:16does this mean in the Coney Greek? What1:19:18is this? I don't understand this. Like,1:19:20how do you Oh, pay more money and then1:19:21I'll explain it to you. That is the most1:19:24hardest thing to do to sit there and go,1:19:26man, these people, you got to I we had1:19:27to get it out the mud. And that's why1:19:29pastor told me straight up, don't spoil1:19:31people. I'm like, I can't help but do it1:19:34because you know why? I'm like that1:19:35parent who's like, I I I made it, you1:19:38know, out the mud. I just want I don't1:19:39want them to struggle. But I realize the1:19:41struggle is really important. The1:19:43struggle is what made me who I was1:19:45genuinely. But people don't realize that1:19:48they want only the easy things and1:19:50everything for free, man. And we've done1:19:51that, too. So, a lot of the times, I1:19:54hope you guys can understand that we1:19:56really do these things because we want1:19:58you guys to grow. But sometimes I will1:20:01be there. You guys be in the Discord.1:20:03It's a different type of energy. I'll1:20:04sit there and go, I don't know. I can't1:20:06answer that question because even though1:20:08I can cuz I want you guys to sit there1:20:10and go, let's figure this out. And if1:20:11you get mad about that, that's proof1:20:13that you don't want to grow. You want1:20:15things to ha be handed to you. And if1:20:17you get things handed to you, you're1:20:18never going to be thankful. There is no1:20:20trials and tribulations. If that's the1:20:22case, God literally guarantees in this1:20:24life, you will go through trials and1:20:26tribulations, right? You shall go1:20:28through them. He doesn't say you might.1:20:30You shall. But the struggles that you go1:20:32through now do not equate to the1:20:34blessings in heaven. That's what God is1:20:36saying, right? And so, you have to go1:20:38through it respectfully. We do our best1:20:41because we're not cold. We do our best1:20:43to walk you guys through it, to set1:20:45everything up for you guys. But my1:20:47goodness, if you really think about it1:20:49deeply, guys, you can't sit there. If1:20:51you if you're a Christian right now and1:20:53you're going,1:20:55I need to know and understand1:20:57everything,1:20:58right? You're not going to be Christian1:21:00for long. That's just the real because1:21:03the whole point of Christianity is I1:21:05don't understand anything. Zero zilch1:21:07nada. But I trust in the one who created1:21:10everything, who knows everything, who1:21:12understands everything, who controls1:21:14everything. I don't know anything, but1:21:16he does. And all I have to do is lean on1:21:18him. And if he's putting me where I'm1:21:20at, that's exactly where I need to be.1:21:23That's exactly where I need to be.1:21:24Because he could lift me out. He's not1:21:27doing it. There's something he's trying1:21:28to teach me. And I don't even know what1:21:30I I don't need to know what that1:21:31something is. I have to believe in the1:21:33someone, not in the something. Amen.1:21:36Dang. Sorry, I have to, man. You guys so1:21:41big brain.1:21:42>> It's Aaron's fault.1:21:43>> You big brain everything. But here,1:21:45here's the thing. Here's the thing.1:21:46Here's the thing. One star Yelp review.1:21:48Here's the thing. One star Yelp review.1:21:49Here's the thing. Five star Yelp review1:21:51cuz he helped me. Here's the thing. Oh1:21:54my gosh, dude.1:21:56>> Sorry.1:21:56>> What? You're not a fan of the book of1:21:58opinions? [laughter]1:21:59>> It's my favorite book.1:22:03>> It's facts, though. Sorry, Jeremy.1:22:05>> Why are you apologizing to me? because I1:22:07don't want you to be sad.1:22:08>> I'm not sad.1:22:10>> I'm used to you being mean to me.1:22:11[laughter]1:22:12>> The Streamathon is live. I'm streaming1:22:14on all platforms every single day for1:22:17the entire month of May at 9:00 a.m.1:22:20Pacific Standard Time. We're1:22:35going to read through the Bible. You're1:22:36going to be able to annotate it, take1:22:38notes, everything that's going to help1:22:39you in your spiritual walk. And1:22:45also, it's going to be 9:00 a.m. Pacific1:22:47Standard Time every single day live on1:22:50all platforms. See you there, buddies.1:22:53If you could put people on like a1:22:54program,1:22:55>> right? And you're just like, "Yo, just1:22:58shut up. Do this program and then come1:23:00back to me1:23:01>> in 90 days." if you and and then and1:23:03then and then let's see what your1:23:05questions are and how your life changes.1:23:06What would that program be?1:23:07>> I think we're doing that now. The1:23:09program is just1:23:11>> consistency with God. Don't overthink1:23:14it. 15 minutes a day.1:23:17Don't overthink it. Right? There are1:23:19people out there like, have you guys1:23:21seen like those um1:23:23like they'll do certain uh labor like1:23:26there's like Asian there? I seen this1:23:28this like I think people it was I don't1:23:31know if it was in like Bali or somewhere1:23:33they were like working and they're1:23:35ripped right like they're not trying to1:23:38sit there and be like I want my apack to1:23:40show they're just working and like I1:23:42think they like chop wood or something1:23:44like that and they're huge they're1:23:45yolked they're not doing any of like1:23:48they're doing basically calisthenics1:23:49right and like they the the the1:23:51byproduct is them just looking1:23:53aesthetically amazing right and people1:23:55like drooling all over them or whatever1:23:57but That's not what they're they're1:23:58focused on. They're like, I'm going to1:24:00work consistently putting in work. I1:24:03have to make ends meet and this is how1:24:06I'm going to just live. And the results1:24:09are like, you know, it just shows for1:24:11itself. In the same way, if you guys are1:24:14chasing outcomes with God,1:24:19>> I I'm I want more peace, then you're not1:24:21even worshiping God. You're worshiping1:24:23peace.1:24:25You're not even worshiping God. You're1:24:27worshiping outcomes. You're worshiping1:24:30dependency on those outcomes. Right?1:24:32That's the unlock here. So, our program1:24:34is very simple. Make God a habit every1:24:38single day. Spend a little bit of time.1:24:39I'm not asking for 10 hours. I'm asking1:24:42for 10 minutes. Spend the consistency1:24:44with God. If you want, you can. We have1:24:47this one hour podcast. Listen to one1:24:49hour. Listen to 15 minutes if you need1:24:51to. That's better than nothing. and you1:24:54will see the incremental change. It's1:24:56not drastic at once, but in five years,1:24:58you're going to be like, "Oh my gosh,1:25:00I'm not struggling with the things I1:25:02used to struggle with. Now it's a whole1:25:03new set of problems that I got to go1:25:05through and kind of grow through,1:25:06right?" And so, in this way, that's1:25:08number [clears throat] one. But if I was1:25:10to give a real program and I don't I1:25:12want to say this cautiously because even1:25:15when I say this, people have an1:25:17opportunistic mind.1:25:18>> I want the outcome. You said that. Yeah.1:25:20So it's like this is what you guys have1:25:23to understand as leaders we're really1:25:25discerned man like to even think like1:25:27that. I could just be like yeah give1:25:29this program and then you guys go and1:25:30you mess up. If it was me and you have1:25:32the right heart posture1:25:34I would volunteer for short-term1:25:36missionary. Number one is that when you1:25:39go somewhere and you're stripped of1:25:42everything that you take for granted1:25:44like electricity, food, running water,1:25:48community, things like that, safety,1:25:51[snorts] like it does something to you.1:25:53When I went to Liberia, Africa, it1:25:55changed me. But now people are going to1:25:56think, well, if oh, if I want to be like1:25:58Johnny, if I want pe now, I'm going to1:25:59do that. That's not what I'm saying. If1:26:01you do that, don't even go. Don't even1:26:03go, right? Because you're going to be1:26:06sorely frustrated. The whole point of1:26:08why I went to Liberia was because I1:26:10didn't want to go. I didn't want to do1:26:12those things. But God was able to show1:26:14me and give me the heart to do those1:26:15things. And then I I didn't even know1:26:17that there was going to be anything. In1:26:18fact, I my real heart was what the hell1:26:20am I going to learn from coming out1:26:22here? I am thankful enough. I am1:26:24thankful for my job. I was locked up in1:26:26prison. Is prison going to be worse than1:26:28Liberia, Africa? Probably. Right? I was1:26:30thinking that because I was stupid. And1:26:32then when I went there, eyes opened up.1:26:35But how do we replicate that? You can't1:26:37because now you anticipate that, right?1:26:40Because you're thinking, "Oh, okay.1:26:41Well, I'll just try to humble my like1:26:42that's not what it is." You understand1:26:44what I'm saying, right?1:26:45>> Yeah. It's It's funny because like I I1:26:47did the opposite in the more secular1:26:49world where I was like,1:26:51>> I'm going to force myself into like1:26:53peace and serenity. Like I went to a1:26:5510day silent meditation. I didn't talk1:26:57for 10 days. I sat [laughter] and I and1:27:00>> dude, that must have been1:27:00>> You wake up at 4:30. You wake up at1:27:04>> that must have been soul mate. You1:27:05didn't talk for 10 days. Impossible.1:27:08>> I didn't talk for 10 days. You wake up1:27:09at 4:30. You meditate for an hour. You1:27:11get a 30-minute break. You meditate for1:27:13I meditated 8 hours a day.1:27:15>> Jesus.1:27:16>> 8 hours a day. You're in your thoughts.1:27:17It was pretty wild.1:27:18>> Sounds like1:27:19>> Well, okay. Wait, can you explain why1:27:20was it wild? Like what what was Was it1:27:22bad? Was it1:27:23>> You're just in your thoughts. It's Dude,1:27:24you're just in your thoughts and I and I1:27:27and then they just teach you come back1:27:28to your breath or whatever and you're1:27:29just learning how to let go of your1:27:30thoughts. And1:27:32>> what thoughts did you have to let go?1:27:35>> Just everything.1:27:36>> Eight hours is crazy.1:27:37>> Just like you would. My back was hurting1:27:39and stuff, [laughter]1:27:41>> dude. People would break down and cry in1:27:43the thing. Yeah.1:27:44>> Did you break down and cry?1:27:45>> Nah. I was just like1:27:47>> Yeah. But you know what's also1:27:48interesting?1:27:49>> You're not supposed to look at anybody1:27:51really. You're not supposed to like look1:27:52and be like,1:27:53>> you know, it's everyone's just you're1:27:54focusing on yourself. So like even if1:27:56you're walking like the dirt path1:27:57outside, it's just just focus on1:27:59yourself, whatever. And you have all1:28:01these like ideas of people like this guy1:28:04the whole time I was like this guy's1:28:05probably I you're just making like1:28:07assumptions of all these people1:28:08[laughter]1:28:09when you eat you're supposed to eat very1:28:10quietly. You sit next to people but1:28:12you're kind of like keeping to yourself.1:28:13It's1:28:13>> Did anyone talk? Did anyone break the1:28:15rules?1:28:16>> No. You if you if you need something you1:28:17can whisper to one of the people1:28:19>> but like you're not really supposed to1:28:21talk.1:28:21>> So it's just silence.1:28:23>> Silence. Silence. And you're around it's1:28:25like 30 men, 30 women and then you have1:28:27like a bunkmate. It was all free by the1:28:29way. is a very interesting thing. But1:28:31>> that is how did they do that?1:28:33>> It's just donations. People get so much1:28:35out of it. There's like it's1:28:36vapasina.net.1:28:38It's all over the the US. But anyways,1:28:42>> I had I forgot where I Oh, I tried to1:28:46force myself into1:28:47>> the secular way.1:28:48>> No, I'm going to get peace and serenity1:28:50if I just like literally do this silent1:28:53meditation. When I came back, I was1:28:54like, I'm going to stick to this routine1:28:565:00 a.m. and I'm just going to like1:28:57learn how to like let go of all my pain1:28:59and anger and become this like monk1:29:00thing. And1:29:01>> monk thing,1:29:02>> my god, I I just gave up after like a1:29:04month. I was like, this is too hard.1:29:06[laughter] Too hard. I give up. It's1:29:08like I got up at 5, then I get up at1:29:105:30, then my hour would shrink to 301:29:12minutes, then 20 minutes, and I was like1:29:1410 minutes is good. Five minutes, my1:29:16mind was racing. I was like, this stuff1:29:17don't work. And then I [laughter] just1:29:18like I'm I'm just angry. I hate1:29:21everybody at my job. Yeah. And then I1:29:24was like, well, well, do I got to go1:29:25back? And I was like, I can't do 101:29:27days. [laughter] It was so hard.1:29:31>> But yeah, it was like the idea of like1:29:33willing yourself to this idea. It's like1:29:35very hard to remove the idea.1:29:38>> It's very hard to remove the idea of1:29:40like, oh, if I follow the Johnny1:29:41program,1:29:42>> I'll I'll be like Johnny.1:29:45>> You ain't built like me, big dog.1:29:47[laughter]1:29:48>> Just kidding. Just kidding.1:29:49>> You're not that guy, pal.1:29:50>> All right, guys. Well, that wraps up the1:29:52episode and like we always do, uh, we1:29:56end the episode and the podcast with a1:29:58prayer. So, let us pray.1:30:01Heavenly Father, thank you so much for1:30:03this episode. Lord, truly, there's1:30:06people out there who are still trying to1:30:07control. They don't even realize that1:30:08they're trusting in themselves. Lord, I1:30:10ask that you enlighten them through this1:30:12episode, through scripture, through the1:30:14app that we built as well. Lord, please1:30:16allow them to utilize the resources that1:30:17we give to them in your name. Lord,1:30:19you've given us these things and you've1:30:21allowed us to go through all of the1:30:23trials and the tribulations to be able1:30:25to come to this realization that we are1:30:27nothing. We can't do anything, Lord. And1:30:30no matter how hard we try, we always end1:30:32up worshiping something other than you.1:30:34Once we recognize that, Father God, that1:30:37is the true unlock. To truly rely on1:30:39you, Lord, is to know that we can never1:30:41rely on you. And that's why you sent1:30:43Jesus Christ to change our hearts, to1:30:45till our hearts. You give us trials and1:30:46tribulations and situations every single1:30:48day so that we can turn back to you.1:30:51Father God, there are brothers and1:30:52sisters who are listening who are still1:30:54not able to grasp this episode. Please1:30:57God, give them the heart to see and the1:30:59ears to hear, Lord. Give them the heart1:31:01to soften to this word, to know that1:31:03there's nothing that we're truly in1:31:04control of, and you're in control of1:31:06everything, Lord. And with that, Father1:31:08God, we give back all of our will back1:31:10to you. Please make it your will. We1:31:12give and surrender all of our lives to1:31:14you, Father God. and please live for us1:31:17as you've died for us as well. Thank1:31:19you, Father God. We leave everything in1:31:20your hands, Lord. And in Jesus name we1:31:22pray. Amen.1:31:24>> Amen.1:31:24>> Amen.1:31:25>> And like, comment, and subscribe.1:31:27>> See you, LA. See you la.
