He's not even0:44I'll just be like talking normally about0:46something serious, and I see him going0:47like this.0:49>> [laughter]0:49>> Like trying not to laugh. He's like,0:51"What did I do? What's so funny?" And he0:52goes, "Nothing."0:53>> [laughter]0:53>> And I'm like, "What's so funny?" He's0:54like, "The way you sound."0:57And then everyone laughs. And everyone's0:58like, "Oh, white guy. White guy."1:00[laughter]1:01But the way you say stuff, Jeremy, is1:03true, man.1:04>> I'm sorry that God graced me with living1:06in the most affluent one of the most1:08impactful cities in all of the world.1:10>> Where is that?1:10>> heard of Palo Alto, California?1:12>> No.1:13>> That Maybe like What What's phone are1:15you using? Apple?1:16>> Uh Android.1:17>> Yeah. Yeah. [laughter]1:18>> Yeah, I'm trying everything now.1:19>> Yeah. Yeah. I don't know if you've ever1:21heard of Facebook.1:22>> What?1:22>> Oh, really? It came out of Palo Alto?1:24>> Or Google.1:25>> What? Really?1:25>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Apple.1:27>> that?1:28>> Oh, I've had apples. I like pineapples.1:30>> Yeah, just like, you know, it was just1:31the tech hub of innovation that changed1:34the face of the earth.1:35>> [laughter]1:35>> It's where I grew up from, okay?1:38Sorry, buddy. Anyways, I ran that poll1:40cuz I saw that one comment. What By the1:42way, if you're listening, I forgot your1:43name. I didn't I screenshotted the1:45comment. You ruined me.1:47>> [laughter]1:48>> She wrote something He or she wrote1:50something like, "I never seen the pod1:52cuz we added video back to Spotify." She1:54was like, "I've never seen the podcast1:55before, but I always thought the other1:58Asian guy, not Johnny, was a white guy2:00this nerdy white guy this whole time.2:02>> [laughter]2:03>> It's like and then I put that up on my2:04Instagram as a poll and it was like 70 I2:07was like, "Do I sound like a nerdy white2:09guy? Yes or no?" It was just 76%2:12and then I just went down the list and I2:14blocked every single person.2:16>> Oh my god.2:1776% is kind of crazy low-key.2:20>> I'm just going to [clears throat] use2:21that. Every time you say I don't sound2:22white, I'm just going to say 76%.2:24>> [laughter]2:27>> Uh2:27Aaron, special day today. It's your2:30favorite holiday.2:31>> [laughter]2:35>> How do you think you did?2:37>> Is that why you wore that shirt green?2:39>> Yeah, I was celebrating all morning.2:41>> [laughter]2:42>> Almost forgot about the podcast, dude.2:45But happy 420, everyone. Happy2:47April 20th.2:48>> You guys are going to get this podcast a2:49little later2:50>> What is that from? Is that like a gang2:52thing or what?2:52>> know, dude.2:53>> Did you guys used to say that or2:55celebrate not celebrate? She's2:56celebrating for sure.2:58>> Dude, 420 was every day for us.3:00>> [laughter]3:01>> It's not 420, white 20, whatever,3:04everything. Oh my gosh. It's I don't3:05know where that's from. If you guys3:07>> Who Who cares where that's from?3:09>> [laughter]3:09>> I was going to say, "If you guys know,3:10comment below." It's like, "What?3:13Why?"3:13>> We would love to know on this Christian3:15podcast3:15>> [laughter]3:16>> where 420 came from.3:17>> Everyone tell us about your craziest 4203:20story.3:20>> Did you ever when you used to partake,3:22have you ever had like psychosis?3:24>> Yeah.3:25>> 100%.3:25>> Same. I I got so blasted one time like I3:28literally the colors in my like it3:30looked like a static TV.3:32>> Yeah. No, for me it was more like when I3:34did edibles.3:35>> Yeah.3:36>> Edibles was when I was like,3:38>> What?3:38>> I remember seeing like a gnome like a3:40like one of those like elves. I was3:41like, "What?" It was like a It didn't3:44look like it, but the shape of it and I3:45was tripping. I was like, "Oh man, I'm3:47never doing this again, bro."3:49>> I'm forever in the boat that weed is one3:51of the most harmful drugs because people3:53think it's not harmful.3:55>> Yeah, that's the one it's the it's that3:56knockout punch that the one that you3:58don't see coming or the one you3:59underestimate. 100%4:01>> Dang, that's crazy.4:02>> Yeah.4:03>> Yeah.4:03>> But anyways, we are anti-420 here. So,4:07if you were even reaching back for it or4:08thinking about it, repent.4:11>> Yeah, facts.4:12Do the right repentance. I'm just4:14kidding. But yeah, um4:16So, surrender I was I was the reason why4:17I came up with this topic today was cuz4:19I kind of was reflecting on things that4:22were not only happening recently, but4:23just on my life in general. Like when I4:25was early in my walk, obviously, I would4:28struggle with surrender4:30um and letting things go.4:32Um4:33you know,4:34especially after getting that big old W,4:36like letting my past go with my dad and4:39like apologizing to my father.4:42I was like, "Oh, everything I just have4:44to like say sorry and let things go."4:46And I thought that's what what what it4:47was going to be. And man, it hit me like4:50a brick. Like saying sorry to a4:52narcissist or like you know, stuff like4:53it didn't work. I was just like, "Yo,4:55this is not working. Okay, I'll let my4:57friends go to God." Like4:58>> [clears throat]4:58>> that wasn't working out. And then till5:00this day,5:02um you know, recently like I was able to5:04discover too that all these things in5:07our lives,5:09it's not even that you try to surrender.5:12You trying to surrender is still you5:14doing something. True surrender is legit5:17like letting everything go to God and5:19recognizing that you can't really be in5:21control of anything, right? So,5:24we we have a lot of people, for example,5:26that I mentor.5:27And [clears throat] people who mentor5:28who I mentor, I used to think, "Okay,5:30I'm teaching them surrender.5:32They listen to my podcast day in and day5:34out. They listen to my Discord stages5:36all day, every day. Some of you guys on5:39Spotify be listening and are like the5:41top 1% listeners. And yet,5:44>> [clears throat]5:45>> we still struggle. So, I would really5:47reflect on myself and be like, "Man, I'm5:48a bad leader. You know, I'm teaching how5:51to surrender. Is it cuz I'm not like5:54mirroring it or reflecting it or5:56teaching it correctly? Like, am I not5:58carrying myself in that type of way?"6:00And I realized that what Well, at least6:03what Pastor Kim told me was, "Johnny,6:05there's nothing you can do to ever6:07change anybody. Like, you can't even6:09change yourself."6:10Although I've heard that for so many6:12times and like over throughout the6:14years, just him recently saying that to6:16me made me recognize, "Oh my goodness, I6:19can't change anyone, including myself. I6:23can't change my homies. I can't change6:25my brother. I can't change my family6:27members. Like, I legit have to rely on6:30God to change them." And6:33>> [clears throat]6:33>> this may seem so simple, but this was6:35something that made me think like,6:37"Dude, I have to let go of the idea of6:40wanting to let go, too." Like, that was6:43the thing that made me recognize like,6:45"I can't change people, and I have to6:47let go of this idea that I want to6:49surrender so badly, too." Like, me6:51wanting to surrender is still me6:53controlling my heart to want to6:56surrender, if that makes sense, right?6:57And so, it was such an unlock for me and7:00I and I think that's what I really want7:01to like talk about in this episode and7:03kind of teach you guys with that cuz7:05most people struggle with surrender, I7:08would say.7:08>> As a pastor, though,7:10your intention is to help people, right?7:13So, you go in and you go, you know, this7:16platform, the platform that you have or7:18even before you had this platform was,7:20"I want people to receive what I7:22received or receive the unlocks that I7:25got."7:25>> Yeah.7:26>> So,7:27in the beginning, you weren't able to7:29save anybody because the method was7:31incorrect.7:32>> Yes.7:32>> And the heart posture was incorrect.7:33>> Yes.7:34>> Then you switch that, and then you did7:35save save people. So, then7:38in my eyes, it was like there was7:41like, how much of that was like7:43surrender versus like correction of like7:45hey your method is wrong. You get the7:47difference?7:48>> yes. I think I think it was still 50/50,7:51right? Obviously, there are things that7:52you have to7:54follow when it comes to gaining a7:55person's heart, learning how to read7:57heart posture, being more receptive,8:00being relatable to people,8:02>> [clears throat]8:02>> knowing what to say, knowing what not to8:05say. These are all things that are8:07skills that you can hone in on.8:09But also on the opposite end of that,8:11half of that is still grace, right? Cuz8:13you can do all of that8:15and still somebody doesn't respect you8:18or isn't in the right position to accept8:20what you're saying, that's what you have8:22to surrender.8:23I used to think, "Oh, if I learn all of8:26these skills, then it's 1 + 1 = 2. I do8:29this and I put in this work and then the8:31return result is going to be they're8:33saved or they at least open up or we8:35have more dialogue, etc., etc."8:38That's not true.8:39>> [clears throat]8:39>> I could also not learn all of these8:41skills, but God just gives me the heart8:44that day to like say something correct8:45to that person and it just connects8:47instantly, right? That's happened8:48before, too. Where I I sit and I look at8:51someone and I'm like, "Man, I I'm not8:52getting a read off of them. They're not8:54saying anything. They're not leaking8:56anything. They're just sitting there."8:58And I'm like, "Damn, what do I say to8:59these people?"9:01And I'll just talk about my testimony9:02and that that's what will connect to9:04somebody, right? So, at the end of the9:06day, it all comes back to grace, but I9:08had to surrender that where I'm like,9:10"Oh, I'm going to work hard. I'm going9:13to study the Bible 26 times. I'm going9:15to learn it in Hebrew, Aramaic, and9:16Koine Greek. And I'm going to, you know,9:19like cross-reference scripture so that I9:21can show people that I understand. I'm9:23going to think about analogies and dumb9:25things down and make complex profound,9:28you know,9:30like theories to make them very simple9:32and digestible." And I do all of that,9:34but there's still people out there that9:35call me a heretic. There's still people9:37out there that go, "Man, what the hell9:38are you talking about? I don't even know9:39what you're saying. Like, you talk too9:41much." There's still people like that.9:42And so, what I learned is like, again,9:45I'm not in control. I can't change a9:46person. I can study all of that and9:48still be like, "I can't gain them." So,9:51I would say 50/50 to answer your9:52question. 50% is like, put in the work,9:56>> [clears throat]9:56>> but9:57the other half of it, I would say 100%9:59is God, obviously. But, God has to give10:01me the heart to even want to learn and10:03train. God has to give me the heart to10:06to for me to start my training and see10:07it all the way through because a lot of10:08people crack open their Bibles, but they10:10don't finish their Bible. A lot of10:11people try to be receptive until they10:13hit that roadblock and somebody doesn't10:15listen anymore and they're like, "I'm10:16not going to listen to them. I'm never10:17going to do that again." So, like, it's10:19literally God, 100% obviously, but it's10:22still us having to walk the walk and10:24kind of carry ourselves that way. So, I10:26would say 50 100% God, but like, 50/5010:29in that aspect.10:30>> Mhm.10:30>> Yeah.10:31>> Um so, you were saying kind of in the10:33beginning that there was like difficulty10:35with the community, right? And I guess10:39what what are some of those difficulties10:41if you're able to share? Like, you know,10:43you're saying, "Oh, I'm not a good10:44leader. It's not sticking." Or it's also10:46like cuz I know that I already know some10:47of the levels to it, but I'm imagining10:50there's people that have come in the10:51community, they love you for 6 months,10:53and then they turn on you. Or it's these10:55people come in and they just struggle10:59struggle struggle struggle struggle,11:00they can never pick up the simple11:01message that's right in front of them.11:02It's like It's like right in their face11:04and no matter what you do, how much time11:05you give them, yeah, it it's not helping11:07them or whatever. So, what is those11:09struggles because I have a follow-up11:11question to that.11:11>> The biggest struggle is surrender. I11:13think number one is somebody11:14surrendering and understanding what it11:17means to surrender, not only to the11:18servant, but to God, obviously. The11:20Bible calls us to surrender to the11:22servants for they watch over your souls.11:24Hebrews 13:7, Hebrews 13:17 speaks about11:28this. And so, you know, it's difficult11:31to do that because when you look at a11:32human being they're still tangible and11:34you can see their flaws. So, to11:35surrender to that and go maybe they're11:38teaching me something biblical and and11:39like theological, it's very difficult11:42for people. Number two, the it's still11:44rooted in surrender but it's people11:47filtering what I say and filtering me11:50through their expectations, through11:52their experiences, through their11:54perspectives, right? So, a lot of people11:56come in and they go, I love Johnny but11:58they love Johnny because Johnny fits12:00their heart that goes, okay, cool. He's12:01relatable, he's been from the hood, I'm12:03from the hood. It's a lot of12:04relatability. But when I ask for12:07surrender, when I ask for obedience,12:09that's the roadblock that a lot of12:11people hit. They'll be like, dang. And12:12then what's12:16difficult under that is also there's12:18other layers to it but what's difficult12:20after that is12:22when I tell them, hey, you're not12:23surrendered and they're like, yes, I am.12:25Like that part is very difficult.12:27There's they can't surrender the idea12:29that they're not surrendered. So, all of12:31it ties back to this, right? And then12:32lastly, I would say receptive receptive12:35skills. Meaning people are it's very12:37difficult for people to listen, right?12:39Because when you think you're listening,12:41that's like the most hardest thing. When12:43you think you're right, it's also bad.12:46When you think you're good, again, these12:48are all separate layers. Not everyone12:49who thinks they're good thinks they're12:51right. Not everyone who who's, you know,12:52thinks that they listen also thinks that12:54they're good. But there everyone has12:56like one of these traits. Some people12:58have multiple traits. Um and this goes13:01across the board for everybody. Like13:02everyone's like that, right? So, it13:04that's the hardest part and13:06[clears throat] I think all of it comes13:07down to13:09seeing yourself accurately, biblically,13:12scripturally. So, they can't surrender13:15the idea of who they are13:17and what the Bible says they are. So,13:20they have this this expectation and this13:22thing of like I know myself, I'm 30 plus13:24years old, I'm 40 plus years old, I'm 2013:26plus years old, and for 20 plus years,13:2830 plus years, 40 plus years, I know who13:31I am. But the Bible says completely13:33different of what they are, right? A13:35person, for example, can go, "I'm a very13:37good person. I have my emotions, and13:39some of my emotions are good, and some13:41of my emotions, obviously, are bad.13:42That's the balance of life." But God13:44goes, "No, there's none righteous, no,13:46not one, so you're not good. You don't13:48seek after the Lord, but I do seek after13:50the Lord." So, it's this constant13:52clashing. And when a person is13:54scriptural 100% and another person13:56isn't, that's going to cause resistance.13:58That's going to cause people to go,14:00"That doesn't make sense." And14:02[clears throat] and yeah, it's it's so14:04many layers to it, but all of it comes14:05down to surrender.14:07So,14:08when people come to church, it's a lot14:09of {quote} {unquote} sick people, right?14:11It's like most of us come to church when14:13we're at the end of ourselves or14:14whatever it is. Like you said, when14:16things are good, no one's screaming14:17screaming out, "Why, God, help me?" You14:19know, they ignore God. So, do you think14:21And and then I guess people when I when14:23I think of church, I think of, "Oh,14:26you're going there, and there's a pastor14:28that knows the Bible, and it's a14:29community, and they should help you."14:31Right? That's probably what most people14:32think about church.14:33>> Sure.14:34>> Do you think that most people have an14:35unrealistic expectation of their14:37pastors?14:38>> Mhm.14:38>> I think that's14:39>> Yes, I think yes and no. Okay, number14:41one, like14:43it depends. It depends on heart posture,14:45right? So, some people have zero14:47expectation of their pastors, and when14:50they go in, they don't realize that that14:52zero expectation is an expectation. And14:55what I mean by that is14:57they go in thinking, "Okay, I'm not14:59going to judge the pastor." Right? And15:01then the pastor has blemishes, cuz we're15:03all human beings. Then after because15:05they don't judge the pastor and they15:07start to see the blemishes, they now15:09start to judge him because they start to15:11see the blemishes, right? So, it's like15:13it's very difficult when a heart posture15:15when you're basing things off of like15:17your own feelings. So, if you come to15:19church and you have the heart of like,15:22yeah, I think pastors are, you know,15:25should be one way or another way.15:27Already, that's going to be the wrong15:28heart posture to come to church. But,15:30yes, to answer your question,15:33in that in that aspect, most people have15:35an expectation. Hey, you're a leader.15:38That means like and you're studied, that15:40means you're better than me, that means15:41you need to carry yourself better than15:43me, right? And so, if that's the case,15:46um you got to somehow almost be like15:48Jesus, right? In a way. You don't got to15:50be Jesus himself, but you got to be very15:52close to him. You got to like otherwise,15:55why am I listening to you? I would just15:57listen to myself. If we're literally the15:59same people and like you have issues and16:01I have issues, my whole point is to come16:03to church and, you know, get better,16:06right? But again, that's that's an16:09unrealistic expectation in itself, too.16:12People come to church thinking that16:13they're trying to get better. You don't16:15go to church to get better. You can do16:16that through therapy. You can do that16:18through working out. You can do You come16:20to church to get closer to God and the16:22byproduct is getting better. So, if your16:24focus is I'm coming to church and I'm16:26going to get better, no, no, no. You16:28have to come to church to literally get16:30closer, not get better, right? You got16:32to get closer to God. And how you do16:35that is surrender, submitting, not16:38having expectations and going this is a16:40hospital and it's okay. Not everyone's16:42taking their meds, people are going to16:43mess up, not a problem. I'm I'm here for16:46the word and the word alone. I don't16:48care if there's clicks cuz every church16:50has clicks. I don't care if there's16:51performative, you know, people cuz16:53everybody performs. I don't care if16:55there's a pastor who has blemishes and16:56maybe things happen. That doesn't16:58matter. What matters to me is is God17:00going to work in this church and through17:02this church to reach me. That's the most17:05important thing. But again, people come17:07to church and they go17:09uh checkbox. Okay, I'm going to come to17:11church. Let me see. Is it aligned? Okay,17:14check. Okay, does a pastor have any17:16issues with like let me see how he's17:17treating women? Okay, he doesn't treat17:19women. Is he a misogynist? No, okay,17:20check. Like, what they're doing still17:22though is they're leading their own17:24lives.17:25Right? So, is it an unrealistic17:27expectation? 100%.17:29Um,17:30should we have certain expectations17:32under the grace of God? I would say you17:34can, but you have to go to God and be17:36like, "Yo, what lead me to the right17:39position, Father God. Show me." Right?17:41You shouldn't be going there looking for17:42things that match your box. You should17:44be looking in for things that match the17:46scripture. And if you don't study the17:48scripture, how then can you know what's17:50actually checking off God's box or not?17:53It's really just going to be yours like17:55with, you know, I guess hiding behind uh17:59uh uh your interpretations of what God18:01is and what God likes.18:02>> But Johnny, I had a really good feeling18:03about No, I'm just kidding.18:05>> [laughter]18:05>> Guys, I'm going to be in San Jose and18:08San Francisco18:10next weekend, May 15th and May 17th.18:14>> Woo!18:15>> Guys, after service, what is after18:17service, Aaron?18:18>> After service is a free live event about18:19the gospel. Everyone has one.19:15It's really just for tracking. We need19:17to like legally know how many people are19:18in the church just for safety and19:19capacity and stuff. So, you'll see19:25on your app19:25>> And you get free 2 weeks of gold your19:28friends can try out.19:29>> Um but yeah, it's a great free live19:32event. Come. It's fun.19:33>> And if you download the app, all the19:35information will be on there, too.19:38>> Haha. All right, we could dive into the19:39first part.19:40>> Yeah. So, a lot of people ask, why is it19:43so hard to surrender to God?19:46And the reason why it feels so hard is19:48because you trust your control more than19:51his control.19:52Most people, they struggle with trusting19:54God. That's the issue. And it's not even19:57that they think he's bad, but they think19:59that their way, because they're more20:01used to it, it's more familiar, they20:03naturally and almost unintentionally and20:06inadvertently20:07trust their way20:09>> [clears throat]20:09>> and they're micromanaging over his20:11macromanaging, right? And so, that's the20:13difficulty for most people. Number one.20:16Number two,20:17most people have surrender twisted. What20:20I mean by that is they don't even know,20:22and this is why I really want people to20:24study the original lexicon, meaning the20:25original language.20:27When you look at the Hebrew20:29[clears throat] word for um surrender,20:32it's shalom, right? And shalom derives20:35from the word shalom, and shalom means20:38peace. So, shalom literally means to20:41enter into peace. So, when you're20:44surrendering something, right? It's not20:46this I got to try harder and like I got20:49to like20:50go through it. It's more of like, man, I20:53can't do anything but surrender and like20:55lose and enter into God's peace, right?20:58So, um for example,21:01if I'm sitting here and I'm like, okay,21:04I don't know what I'm going to do with21:06my kids. My kids are struggling. Some of21:08you guys have kids out there21:10>> [clears throat]21:10>> and they're vaping and you know, they're21:12just kind of like21:14you know, getting deceived by social21:17media, let's say. All they want to do is21:18be an influencer and they're going here21:20looksmaxing and they're doing all these21:21things, right? And you're like, okay, I21:24want them to study about God and they're21:26like, I don't care about God. A lot of21:28kids are this way. They don't care about21:30Christianity. They're like, how do I get21:32super tall and how do I get all the21:33women? And they're just naturally going21:35to do this, right?21:36>> [clears throat and cough]21:37>> And your job is to sit there and go21:40you you can basically do two things.21:42Number one, you can go21:44all right, I'm going to have a21:45conversation with them. I'm going to put21:47them in boarding school. I'm going to21:48you know, try to like take away the21:50iPad, whatever. You can do things where21:52you're trying to control it and not21:54surrendering.21:55Or you can sit there and go21:57is this my kid or is this God's child?22:00Yes, I have to raise them. Yes, I'm22:02going to take away the iPad. Yes, I'm22:04still going to sit there and discipline22:06and have conversation and fellowship22:08with them and guide them. But at the22:10core of it though, whose child is this?22:13It's not mine. It's God's child. And how22:15do I know if God is working or not? Very22:18simple. He says it in the Bible. He22:19says, no matter what, I'm going to take22:22care of it. All roads basically, you22:24know, are for the greater good to those22:26who love God. So God is going to allow22:28certain things. Who knows that them22:30chasing something and really22:32experiencing emptiness of looksmaxing22:34and you know, like being so worldly that22:37it actually turns them from the world22:39like many of us have and just leans on22:42God 100% like many of us do. So it22:45depends, right? Like we we don't know,22:46but if we can think deeply and go22:49this isn't my child. Who's going to take22:52care of them more?22:53Okay, God is. And if that's the case, I22:55can surrender that part of me being the22:58parent in like surrendering the true23:01parental role to to God, right? In that23:04position. And so, the problem isn't23:06surrender, it's again, you trust your23:09control more than his.23:11And if you're trying to control23:12something, that's the illusion of why23:14people can't surrender. Control is such23:16an illusion. If you don't If you don't23:19get breath in your lungs in the morning,23:20you you can't even wake up. You can't23:22even go stress or or do good or praise23:25and worship even, right? You can't do23:27anything good or bad. So, again,23:29surrender is such an such an illusion, I23:31think that a lot of people don't talk23:33about, right? I'm sorry, control is such23:35an illusion that a lot of people don't23:37talk about, right? So, we address it23:39here because I see so many people truly23:42trying to control in one way, shape, or23:45form, like whether it's their23:47depression, anger, loneliness,23:48frustration, anxiety, all of that stems23:51from not being in control. And what I23:53mean by that is when you're in control,23:55you think, "All right, I I'm in control,23:58I'm safe."23:59But, as soon as you lose control or24:01something doesn't go your way, then you24:03feel immediate danger, right? And once24:05you start feeling dangerous, anxiety24:07comes, depression comes, isolation24:09comes, you start to back hesitation24:11comes, and you're like, "Bro." And so,24:13all of it kind of stems from this idea24:15of control. So, again, I don't think24:17people struggle with surrender.24:20I think people struggle with that that24:22with control and that admitting that24:24they were never in control to begin24:26with. So, two things, they can't realize24:29that they're not even in control,24:31and even when they do realize it, they24:33still think that they are in control,24:35right? Those are the two things. So,24:37it's not Once you recognize that,24:39surrender is actually the byproduct. You24:41don't even have to try. You don't have24:42to go, "I need to surrender." You go,24:44"Can I control the outcome?" No. And24:46then naturally surrender comes, right?24:48Naturally you start to seek God.24:50Naturally you start to pray and and and24:52things like that, right? So, yeah, the24:54hardest part of surrender is not you24:56trying to control it, it's you admitting24:58that you never had control in the first25:00place. That's the hardest part.25:02>> And honestly, I think that's one of like25:04the most peaceful unlocks of spiritual25:06life. At least can be or has been for me25:09in the past or like when you start to25:10just let go or realize that you can't If25:13you start to let go of the things that25:15you can't do anything about, which is25:16everything,25:17um stuff just gets a lot easier and it's25:19just a lot more25:21I don't know, less anxiety driven or25:24>> Yeah.25:25>> That's what you're surrendering. It's25:26like that idea that you're in control.25:29>> Yeah, right.25:29>> Right? And then like from then stems25:32peace. Like like Aaron is saying. Like,25:34"Oh, I'm not in control. Yeah, I'm going25:35to run the company. Yeah, I'm going to25:37preach, but I'm not in control of who's25:39going to listen. I'm not even in control25:41of who's going to get saved. I'm not25:42even in control of who's going to fight25:44me. Like I can't I don't want any of25:46those things, but no one can come to25:47me." Oh, okay, then who can manage that25:50though? God can. So, I'm just going to25:52say what I got to say. I'm not in25:54control of anything and I can't change25:56anything and God is going to work. And25:58that right there is liberation, freedom,26:01peace, joy, happiness, literally26:04everything stems from that.26:06>> Facts. If you're a perfectionist or an26:07over-thinker, that's like one of the26:09most peaceful unlocks of all time.26:11>> Facts. Yes, sir, Mita.26:13>> That all sounds great on paper. Sounds26:15really great, Johnny.26:16>> we go.26:17>> It truly sounds great.26:19But that doesn't feel realistic in26:21everyday life, right? Well I'm just26:23[laughter] kidding.26:24>> That's how I went. It does it does it26:26does26:26>> you don't even sometimes you Come on,26:28you've been frustrated.26:29>> Of course.26:30>> Think about it. Think about it. Okay.26:31Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.26:31>> Of course.26:32>> So, so the frustrations rise like I'll26:34just make up an example. We're going Bay26:36Area announcement, huh? We're going to26:38be in the uh26:40Bay Area, right? And we have to do like26:42there's a lot of steps for it to go26:44right. And let's say everything starts26:46going wrong. The church doesn't have a26:48microphone for you. Uh they give the26:50people the wrong Aaron sends out the26:52wrong address, doesn't announce it.26:54Aaron No, I'm just kidding like a list.26:56>> [laughter]26:58>> You know, the the the airplane, they put27:00you in the middle seat and with next to27:02two people that stink and so you can't27:03get27:04You know, you've been there. You know,27:06Think about that one day day where you27:08really was like it was the worst flight27:09of your life. Let's say it all stacks27:11up.27:11>> Yeah.27:12>> Yeah,27:14let's see you surrender, buddy.27:15>> Yeah, yeah. Well, surrendering obviously27:17is recognizing Okay, so again, it's27:20still this idea of surrender.27:21>> Oh, oh, sorry, sorry, sorry. Let me add27:22to that the scenario. And it and it and27:24it was because27:26poor planning, right? It's like, well,27:29Jeremy, you didn't book the flight early27:30enough. Aaron, you should have paid27:32attention to this thing. Nobody even27:33checked in with the church.27:35All right, God, I'm just surrendering27:37it. These are my team. This is just the27:38way it is, you know, for me, my feeling27:41is, oh, I got to get on some people. You27:43know what I'm saying? I got to make sure27:44this never happens. There's no peace for27:46me there, though. It's anger,27:47frustration, and27:48>> Yeah. But there's Why is there anger and27:50frustration, though?27:52>> Cuz it's like it's like, hey, this was27:53like put together by a bunch of clowns.27:56>> No, but it's not even that. It's deeper27:57than that. You think by you getting27:59angry and checking them, Let me ask you,28:01why would you have to check them?28:03>> Because the job was done improperly.28:04You're and it's everyone's unhappy.28:07>> Can I Can I be honest with you? The28:09heart is more of I need to check them28:11cuz I think me checking them is going to28:13whip them into shape. That's what you28:14need to surrender.28:16Cuz you could check somebody and they28:18go, "No, it's your fault, Jeremy."28:21>> [laughter]28:21>> Then you're done. You get what I'm28:23saying? So again, surrender.28:24>> done. I'll fight till the end.28:25>> Well, yeah, that's That's prime example28:27of not surrendering.28:28That is Zen, right? That's We should do28:30a pride episode. I'm just kidding. But28:32genuinely, like, do you understand what28:34I'm saying?28:35Like, that that's that's the level I'm28:37trying to get you guys to is like,28:40"Okay, but I have to whip people into28:41shape." Of course you do. But the the28:43outcome needs to be surrendered. "What,28:45just cuz I chastise somebody, they're28:46going to listen? I chastise people on28:48Discord all day. I will literally be in28:51real time and you guys can call this28:52out, too. And I'm answering a question28:55and a person just gets Forest Gumpy on28:57me.28:57>> Yeah.28:57>> They're just like, "Oh, I like28:58chocolates, et cetera." Like they're29:00literally just like I I just answered29:03lust and they're like, "But how do I29:04deal with lust?" And I'm like, "Oh my29:06gosh, I literally spent 30 minutes29:07talking about it." And that's what I29:09realized, oh, I have to surrender.29:11>> Yep.29:12>> Although I'm talking about it for 3029:13minutes and I may check them. Even me29:16checking them, is this checking going to29:18stop them and change them? Probably not,29:20maybe so, who knows? That's what I29:23surrender to. Yes, I'm going to do what29:25I do. Does that mean Oh, because that's29:27outcome dependent then. Oh, I'm I'm only29:29going to check if they surrender and29:30they listen. Like, no, you're still29:32going to have to do it and you leave the29:34outcome to God. Does that make sense,29:35Aaron? What do29:36>> Yep, yep, yep, yep.29:36>> The final line. See how you29:38>> He pointed at you, not me.29:40>> Yeah, [laughter] I stopped.29:41>> No, cuz Aaron was the only one who was29:42listening.29:43>> He's making sure I did.29:43>> mean? Just kidding, I was just kidding.29:45>> I didn't see you.29:45>> Surrender, surrender. Yeah.29:46>> Surrender, [laughter] surrender.29:47>> Surrender that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.29:49>> No, I also like your example though,29:50just for like a in the moment stress29:52perspective of like, okay, in the moment29:54now you are stuck in the situation. Is29:56it going to help your situation to get29:58start fuming and start flaming your30:00employees and start being really pissed,30:01"I can't believe I'm here." Or30:03at that point the most release and30:05freedom is going to come from just30:08I'm here, there's nothing I can do about30:09it. Let me put my headphones on, try to30:11watch a show, like move [laughter] on.30:12And then talk to the people later30:13because for me, I would just like yes,30:16you can get mad at all the people, but30:17I'm the type of person who would be30:18pissed at myself for even trusting you30:20idiots. I'm like, "Who did I even let30:22set this up? This is still my fault at30:23the end of the day. I should have looked30:25at these flights. How am I in the30:26middle? I should have just booked the30:27whole like30:28>> But that's But that's But that's a30:29potential also like a You got to trust30:31people and you got to like hope that30:32people What John is saying is the point30:34is that was me even thinking that I30:36could have done anything in the first30:37place, anyways. That's why That's why30:38surrender is such like a freeing or30:40releasing peaceful feeling because it's30:42like well30:43when I used to beat myself up for30:45situations like that it's like well you30:47got to kind of just surrender it only30:49really will help my stress and anxiety30:51levels to just surrender it at that30:52point and yeah obviously plan and move30:54forward for the future but30:56to freak out is to not a valid passion30:59>> but we've also done that too for using31:02your example where we've hired on people31:05and we're like all right we're going to31:06vet them and then what right it's like31:09dang we vetted and so should I be like31:10Jeremy we vetted like I told you why did31:12you do that all Aaron why did you guys I31:14told you guys like I never do that31:15instead I go okay like they didn't work31:18out right yes I can pop off on them yes31:20we can let them know and there's times31:21where I tell you guys guys tell that31:23person tell them like it's okay but in31:25my heart the surrender is we're going to31:27let them know God you're still going to31:29take care of the outcome though like I31:30still have to let you know I still have31:32to get frustrated cuz I'm human I'm31:34human all of you guys are again31:36surrender is not this oh I'm so strong31:38and my my emotions are so intact and31:40that's what means to be surrendered no31:43surrender is I can pop off but still31:45leave the outcome to God that is the31:47most important thing31:49the streamathon is live I'm streaming on31:51all platforms every single day for the31:54entire month of May at 9:00 a.m. Pacific31:57Standard Time I'm walking you through my31:58morning routine that got me to where I'm32:00at today I'm going to help you make God32:02a habit in your life what the32:04streamathon is is it's my morning32:06routine it starts with a daily32:08devotional we also have a gospel bar32:10where you can ask your questions we're32:11going to read through the Bible you're32:13going to be able to annotate it take32:14notes everything that's going to help32:16you in your spiritual walk to join you32:18guys can download core of the heart32:19daily on any app store for free and also32:23it's going to be 9:00 a.m. Pacific32:24Standard Time every single day live on32:26all platforms see you there buddies32:30how similar are surrender and grace32:33>> um they're they're synonymous right so32:36you need one for the other. For example,32:39you need grace to surrender.32:41Like32:43it's so hard because God has to32:44literally make you surrender.32:47Are we have this natural thing even if32:49you Okay, like let's say you try to32:51drown yourself.32:52>> [snorts]32:53>> Like imagine I'm just like I'm going to32:54go to the bathtub right now and32:56and just like hold myself down.32:59It doesn't you could try and be super33:01Why are you laughing?33:02>> It's just that the hilarious scenarios.33:05>> But it's true though.33:06>> I'm agreeing with you. It's33:08hilarious.33:09>> myself. Right? But no one has ever is33:12able to is ever able to. Why? Because33:14the body naturally fights. I think33:16because the flesh is kind of intertwined33:18with the enemy, the fact that the flesh33:20is fallen and broken and it's easily33:23tempted and it's always for me, me, me,33:25it's difficult then to surrender and go33:27it's all about Jesus, it's all about33:29God, right? So, why I use that analogy33:31is to show that33:33naturally we're just going to fight. And33:37that is okay. God knew that. He died for33:40that. He died for the worst version of33:42you and he understands that we're going33:45to fight and he's working. That's why he33:48allows certain things for us to33:50surrender control. He will allow me for33:52example to get locked up cuz I thought I33:54could be free and do whatever I want. So33:57much to the point where like I didn't33:58have rules. I lived in a world at least34:00in my head especially at the age of 16,34:03I was wild. I was like invincible. I34:06didn't care. I didn't care if anybody I34:07had multiple people pull straps on me34:09and be like blast me. Go ahead cuz I34:11didn't think that they would do it. In34:12my mind I was like Superman. And this34:15was off of drugs by the way. So,34:17again, God was like, "Oh, you think34:19you're in control? Oh, you think your34:21freedom is it just comes? Oh, you think34:22you're so smart that you could evade34:24cops and do whatever you want. All34:26right, I'm going to show you." So, I get34:27shot, get locked up. All kinds of these34:30things happened in my life to go, "I34:32need to make you understand Johnny that34:34you don't rule the world. You're not in34:35control. I'm in control and I have to34:37show you these types of things. And so34:39I'm very glad that he did that.34:41Why? Because I would have probably34:43carried that over. I know some people34:45where they never have like bad luck and34:47it's never they don't really like34:48nothing bad happens to them and they34:50legit are the ones who are like super34:52motivational speakers and they're like,34:54"Yeah, everything is good in my life. I34:55did I put my mind to it and and they34:57they have they have numbness to to35:00grace." They're like, "Bro, you had35:01grace. You received all of that in your35:03life. You grew up with the affluent35:05parents." Whatever it is like you grew35:06up in a nice area. It just happens. But35:08they think like, "Well, yeah, that's35:10what it that's what it is. That's what35:11life is, you know?" So, at the end of35:13the day, I think what's important is you35:16have to you have to have grace in order35:18to surrender because nine times out of35:2110 people are not going to surrender and35:23I already can hear the comments. "Well,35:25back when I did I chose and I made a35:27decision to surrender." That's exactly35:28who I'm talking about. You're that35:29affluent kid where God gave you grace35:31and you're like, "Look at me. Like why35:32can't everyone just have a Lambo?" It's35:34like what are you talking about right35:35now? "How come everybody just doesn't do35:37their taxes correctly?" Like they have35:38their maid and their CPA and no no35:40there's nothing wrong with that and a35:41hedge fund manager. No no. Okay. Like35:43every you got grace, right? Understand35:46what I'm saying. You got grace. I didn't35:47know anything about anything. So, God35:50had to also give me grace and bestow his35:52grace upon me. Every one of you guys who35:54are blessed and anything good that comes35:56out of you comes from the only good one35:58and the blesser which is God. Even if36:00you believe or not, genuinely it's from36:03God. So, that's what I would say.36:05They're synonymous, bro. You you can't36:07have surrender without grace and you36:08definitely can't surrender you can't36:10have grace without surrender, too.36:12Right? Because you can receive grace but36:14you if you don't surrender to that36:15grace, you can push that grace away,36:17too. So, you it it go it goes both ways.36:20>> What's the second point?36:21>> I'm trying to say it nicely. I'm just36:23saying I'm totally kidding. I'm totally36:24Jeremy. Sorry. I'm trying your patience.36:26I'm surrendering.36:28>> [laughter]36:29>> Wow, look how fast I learned.36:31>> Wow,36:32that's why I'm so36:33good at everything. A common question I36:35get asked is, how do you know you've36:37truly let go of something?36:38So, a lot of you guys feel like, "Yo, I36:40let go of something. I forgave that36:42person." But, then you'll see them and36:44then it just arises. And it's undeniable36:46that you've let it go. So, how then do36:48you guys know, right? Basically,36:51when you no longer need things to go36:53your way,36:54when you no longer start to really like,36:57you know, have to be in control, that's36:59kind of how you know you've you've37:02you've let go of something 100% right?37:05So,37:06yeah, basically not wanting to control37:08the outcome, not wanting to control the37:11future, not even worrying about those37:13things. That's when you're like, "Okay,37:14it's it's okay." Right? And and I37:16experienced that when I was apologizing37:17to my dad. At first, I was like, "What37:20are the What if he does this? If he says37:22something wrong and he doesn't act37:23correct, I might pop off on him. I may37:25just take him out right there cuz all of37:28the compounded trauma and rage that I37:29have,37:30us being estranged, like I didn't even37:32feel like he was my dad anymore, right?37:34So, I also started with that heart. But,37:37when I had conversation and fellowship37:38with Pastor Kim, I remember Pastor Kim37:41vividly telling me, like, "Johnny, I37:43have faith for you. I'm your breaking37:45system. Just hear me out and don't worry37:48whether or not he says sorry or not.37:50Just go there and see what happens."37:53And that see what happens was so big for37:55me. It was like, "Oh, okay. I'm already37:58going into it not knowing that if I say38:00sorry to him, he better he better accept38:02it and he better apologize, too." And38:04that was already an expectation. That's38:06what I had to surrender. Was I had to go38:08from he better to let's see what38:10happens. And I'm going to follow the38:12servant, which he was teaching me, which38:14I didn't even know. He was teaching me38:16behind the scenes, like, "Follow the38:18words of the servant. God works through38:19the servant, Amos chapter 3, verse 7."38:22And so,38:23when I did, it was amazing, right? It38:25happened. And so, many, many people,38:28too, they'll hear this story, and I get38:29especially early on when Soft White38:31Underbelly first blew up that episode,38:34so many people would message me. And And38:36at that time, I would respond to all38:37DMs. I didn't have Jeremy and Aaron at38:39that time. My My My I think I only had38:41maybe like 37,000 followers, 40,000,38:44something like that. And I would respond38:46every single day to you guys. And people38:49would come to me the number one question38:51I would get asked or even people would38:53yell at me in the the all caps me,38:55basically, would be like, "I went and38:58did exactly what you did to my dad, and39:00I did what you you did to my mom,39:03and they actually doubled down. They're39:05like, "Finally, you see that you messed39:07up." They're super narcissistic, so39:09like, I don't know why you would do39:10that. And it was because they didn't39:12have that mentorship level of like, "See39:15what happens." They went with the heart39:16of like, "I'm going to say sorry and be39:18the bigger man, and I better get39:19rewarded for being the bigger man,39:21right?" And this was the thing that was39:23so difficult. So, that's how you know39:25you didn't truly let go. That's a39:27condition. Letting go is regardless of39:30the condition. I don't care about the39:32outcome. This is to free the chains in39:34me, not that person, right? Like, I'm39:37going to just go and forgive them, not39:39because they deserve it, but because I39:41deserve it. And when you do it like39:42this, you're able to truly let go of39:45everything. So,39:47yeah, when you realize that, then you're39:49like, "Okay, I can let go." And again,39:51it comes down to control being an39:52illusion, right? Control is such an39:55illusion that people think. So, if you39:57go and you let's say apologize to39:59somebody,40:00then you expect them to say sorry back40:02to you. That's a form of like control in40:05that you want to control the outcome,40:07and you want to come together and be40:08peaceful, which again, outcome40:10dependency. Versus, "All right, I'm40:13going to go.40:14I'm I'm to do the right thing, Christian40:16thing. I'm going to release the chains40:18off of them and off of me and I'm going40:20to say sorry regardless of what they40:21say. And you may face backlash when you40:24say sorry. Some people be like, "You're40:25not even true and real and blah blah40:27blah." Like, that happens, too. But the40:29the idea is I did what I did, I said40:32what I said, I wanted to release it, and40:34I don't expect anything from it. That's40:36how you know you're fully letting go,40:39you're fully surrendering now.40:42>> Is that truly possible for humans,40:43though?40:44>> I've seen it happen multiple times.40:47That is possible.40:48You just have pee brain.40:50>> Yeah, but like40:51>> You just have no, you know, no level up.40:54You level level one, level two.40:56>> [groaning]40:56>> Maybe [screaming]40:57maybe level three, maybe. Maybe good day41:00level three.41:01>> Level three out of level three.41:02>> No, level three out of level 30041:04million.41:05>> Yeah, what is What are you at, buddy?41:06>> No, I'm at zero. I'm worse than you.41:09>> [laughter]41:09>> Wow, look how surrendered this guy is.41:13>> Jack and41:17He's like donkey. No, I'm just kidding.41:19>> Aaron41:20I have a question for you. Why are you41:22looking like that? Don't be scared.41:24>> What?41:25>> Jeremy, every time you have a question,41:26I get so afraid.41:27>> Why?41:28>> Cuz I feel like you're big brain41:29questions, man. But everyone loves your41:32>> talking to me about the small brain. I41:33have the big brain. You have the You41:35have the small brain, man. That's so41:37tiny.41:38>> say this in Discord. I'm like, people41:39are so big brain that they're they're41:41little brain, right? It's like you're41:42like so over analytical that it gets to41:44the point where you're like, "What are41:45you even talking about right now?" But41:47no, I'm just saying I like your41:49questions genuinely, jokes aside, cuz so41:51many people have your questions. And41:54it's like41:55>> Don't compare me to so many other41:56people.41:57>> sorry.41:57>> We're not the same. I'm a very unique,41:59highly intelligent, thoughtful, creative42:01individual.42:02>> White person, right? 100%. Yes.42:05>> [laughter]42:05>> Just pause. Oh, if that means we're Hey,42:07hey, brother, we're on the same plane.42:09You complimented us, brother.42:11>> [laughter]42:12>> That's Welcome, brother.42:14>> That's my non-melanated brother42:16>> [laughter]42:16>> right there.42:17>> Brother.42:18>> Sorry, I saw the craziest thing. It was42:20It was like a42:22They were calling It was like a42:25person of color and a and a a white42:27woman and he was calling [laughter] He42:29was like, "Look at that brother over42:31there with the sun dodger."42:32>> Oh my god.42:34>> Sun dodger.42:35>> Sun dodger is crazy, bro.42:37>> Is that42:37Is that that42:38>> Oh, that's funny.42:39>> I know. I thought that was funny.42:40>> [laughter]42:40>> I'm like, "Yeah, you're a sun dodger."42:42>> He's42:43>> Yeah.42:43>> I guess Aaron, for you, what I've I'm42:46just about to put you on blast. We cut42:47this if you want.42:48>> Okay.42:49>> But has there been things when it's tied42:51to like What has Okay, let me let me42:53rephrase this. Has there been42:56Aren't we not supposed to be scared when42:57you start a question like we can cut42:59this if you want. Well, I'm just curious43:01if you want to talk about this or not.43:02Basically, like your past relationships,43:04right? There's certain things that like43:07there's things you couldn't let go of,43:08right?43:09>> Has that changed over the last couple43:11years or like43:12>> That's a true example of of of letting43:15go also because you're saying like, "Oh,43:17is that even possible to to Cuz Johnny's43:19saying all the goal is to do something43:21and expect nothing in return." And43:22you're like, "Well, is that even43:23possible?" Like43:25you can't even comprehend doing43:26something for nothing in return.43:27>> no. I know I agree. I agree. [laughter]43:29>> I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I43:30was thinking of43:31>> you a little bit cuz I'm43:32I'm thinking of experiences where I'm43:34like43:34>> Sometimes it just crosses my mind and43:36then all of a sudden I'm thinking about43:37it again and I'm like, "Did I truly let43:39that go cuz it's bothering me?"43:41>> For sure. For sure. For sure.43:43>> Yeah, yeah. See see we relate and Mr.43:45over there, "Oh, nothing bothers me."43:47>> No, I'm43:48I have an answer for that, but I'm going43:49to let Aaron finish his point. I'm like43:51you're just cutting cutting him off like43:54every two words.43:54>> don't want to just put him on blast. I'm43:56like, "I'm in the same boat."43:57>> Yeah. No, that's that's fair. I'm I'm a43:59very sentimental guy. So like I'm I keep44:01a lot of old things. I'm kind of a44:02hoarder. I remember a lot I keep a lot44:04of pictures. I just like I I'm44:06definitely a guy, but in but in that44:08regard of like past relationships and44:10stuff, like I'll say like there's been44:12times where I've been talking to an44:14ex-girlfriend or something and and44:16even though I'm like, oh, we're done.44:18Let's break up or whatever. Like I know44:19in the back of my mind I'm like, it's to44:21for attention or just like to get Not44:23not as harsh as breaking up, but there's44:24just things like that where44:26you are trying to get something out of44:27it or there is kind of another angle to44:29a degree. But when you finally like44:30really just let it go and you're just44:32like you can still be upset about it in44:33your own ways or whatever, but when44:34you've actually let it go to the person44:36to the point where like you're freeing44:37yourself and the other person from the44:39relationship, I think that's a level of44:41like44:42>> Yes, but so I will say44:46I'll put myself on blast.44:47>> Okay.44:48>> say that there are things that I truly44:50let go of my past experiences with past44:54uh business partners or whatever it is.44:58And I truly I like I wouldn't want I44:59would you couldn't pay me $10 million to45:02go back to that situation.45:03>> Mhm.45:04>> But I still think about it and there's45:06sometimes resentment or whatever it is.45:10Have I truly let it go?45:11>> Yes.45:13>> Even though I feel those45:14>> Yes.45:15>> That don't sound like letting go to me.45:16The way you were saying it's like you're45:17floating in the clouds.45:18>> say that. I never said you're45:20>> Roll the tape.45:22>> Never said you're floating in the45:23clouds. First and foremost, just because45:25you feel something does not mean it's45:27true. It could be a reflection and you45:29may be living it in real time again.45:31Like, oh, snap. But again, how do you45:33know that that thought and that feeling45:36is Is it even affecting you to that45:38point where you're like45:39oh my gosh, I can't live. Like I can't45:42do that. Like when you don't let45:44something go,45:46it kind of low-key plagues you if you45:48actually think about it, right? Like45:50if you can't Like for example, I'll say45:52relate since you're talking about45:53business relationships. I'm talking45:54about like let's say like actual45:56relationships, intimate relationships.45:58People who have not and you guys know45:59this. People who have not let certain46:01things go, all they think about it runs46:04their lives. Like to sit back and46:07reflect and go, "I didn't really like46:09that." Does not mean you didn't let it46:10go. It means you didn't like it. Like46:13that's46:13>> Okay.46:14>> Right? That's not an issue.46:15When you're When you're sitting there,46:17you got to understand the levels of46:18intensity, too. That is real. Even46:20though it's feelings based, it is real46:21in terms of like dang, if I'm sitting46:24here, is it occupying all of my time?46:27So, the question to you is how46:29often do you sit back and reflect and46:31then kind of be like get resentful?46:34Let's say 7 days out of the week, how46:35many How often are you doing it?46:37>> Probably46:38>> He's like He's like nine.46:39>> I hate that mother46:41>> I I don't think you are.46:42>> Yeah, yeah. Not not really. It'll just46:44come up randomly.46:45>> say like out of a year, how many times46:46do you think you would you would think46:48about it?46:48>> When I think about it, it's like 246:50minutes, 3 minutes. So, I'd say a lot of46:52time maybe46:53>> in a year or is it double digits?46:56>> Yeah, a a hundred.46:57>> A hundred times?46:58>> Yeah, you need to let it go. No, I'm46:59just kidding.46:59>> [laughter]47:00>> No, no. Just like different things. Like47:01something will trigger it or someone47:02will bring up something. It's just still47:04like47:05>> It's just random conversations. It'll47:07happen, you know?47:07>> Doesn't mean you didn't let it go,47:09though.47:09Because it's not affecting you to the47:11point where it's like I guess it depends47:14on the degree of like affecting you and47:17like what how much time it takes. So,47:19that's again affecting you. Is it47:21affecting your mood to the point where47:23it's just like you're rotten? Is it47:24spilling into other people? These are47:27all things that are like you would have47:29to let go. To be honest, too, even47:31letting go is okay Even if you don't let47:34go and I'm going to say something hot47:35take, even if you don't let go of47:37something, what's the problem with that?47:40Unless47:42it does what I say. It affects you to47:44the point where it bleeds into other47:45people. You're coming out You just got a47:47black cloud around you all the time.47:49Like it doesn't really matter, right?47:51So, letting go is is scripturally47:53speaking is just going, "Okay, God. I47:56rest in you. I just give you everything.47:59Do you are you resting? Are you going to48:00be able to rest 100% of the time in God?48:03Of course not. We're in a fallen world48:05with a fallen nature. Like it doesn't48:07mean just because you mess up. If that's48:09the case then it's like if I don't feel48:11peace, I'm not a Christian. It's like48:12what? But God is a prince of peace48:14technically and if you have him and you48:16have him in your life then you're you48:18have to have peace all the time. It's48:20like not necessarily. If that's the case48:22King David is not a Christian. He was48:24hell of depressed. Elijah went from48:26literally48:27like exposing all of the false prophets48:31to literally someone48:32a modern day DM. Someone DM'd him, I'm48:35going to kill you. And he's like,48:37I'm going to die now. Like literally. So48:39you can't What does it mean, right? It's48:41like we have to get out of this idea48:43oh, I have depression. I'm not a real48:45Christian. Oh, I struggle with this. I'm48:47not a real Oh, I thought about something48:49for two to three minutes. I'm not a real48:52It's like what? Not like we're human at48:54the end of the day. It's okay.48:57>> Yeah, that makes sense.48:59>> Why do I always have to make it make49:00sense to you?49:01>> Okay, didn't make sense. Keep49:02explaining.49:03>> [laughter]49:05>> We're hiring guys. Heart of the Heart is49:06hiring, but listen carefully.49:08>> We're not just building a company. We're49:10building one of the fastest growing49:11Christian communities in the world. In49:13just a year and a half this community49:15has grown to over 3 million strong and49:17we're nowhere near done. Our mission is49:19simple but massive to build the best49:20tools and resources to help anyone in49:22the world get closer to God.49:24>> Our first immediate goal is to get 10049:26million people in the heaven. So when we49:28say we're hiring, understand this. We're49:30not looking for employees, we're looking49:31for mission driven A players that want49:33to change the world. Our criteria is49:35simple. Don't show us what you could do,49:37show us what you've already mastered.49:38Like if you want to be the short form49:39editor, show me the millions of views49:41you've gotten on short form. If you want49:42to be the podcast producer, show me the49:44shows that you've successfully produced.49:46We've learned the hard way not to hire49:47off potential. We just want to hire off49:49of pure experience. People who have49:50already proven that they can perform at49:52their skill set at the highest level. We49:54have jobs available in many different49:56departments, media and content, live49:58events and marketing. We also have50:00remote jobs and LA based jobs available.50:02If you're an A player that has mastered50:04their craft and wants to do something50:05that glorifies God, then please head to50:07the link in our description and check50:09out the job board. And lastly, if you're50:10an absolute beast at something and you50:12don't see it on the job board, please50:14reach out. I mean, you know, you might50:15be able to do it for us, it might work50:16out. So, if you're amazing at something,50:18you don't see the perfect job50:19description, just reach out. Tell us50:20what you're good at, maybe it'll work.50:22>> Genuinely, I can't do this without a50:23team. So, I'm very thankful for anyone50:25who supports the mission. I look forward50:27to hearing from you guys.50:29>> Is my questions frustrating you?50:31>> All the time. But does that mean I'm not50:33a Christian?50:34>> But okay, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.50:36>> No, no, Jeremy.50:37>> No, no, I know, I know, I know, I know.50:38I'm playing a character here.50:40Cuz I'm so good at acting.50:41>> Sure, buddy. Sure, buddy. Sure, buddy.50:43>> But, but [laughter]50:44would would you hope that the audience50:47just surrenders, right? Let's say you50:48drop50:48>> Of course.50:49>> Dude, surrendering is good for y'all,50:51it's not good for us. Even though I'm50:53like sitting there and I'm like, ah,50:54dude, because you did explain it in a50:56way where I'm someone's going to be50:57like, ah, that makes I think more people50:59than not would be like, ah, that makes51:00sense. Of course there's going to be51:02>> Just so you know, if it makes sense,51:03you're not surrendered. I'mma keep it51:04real with y'all.51:06Surrendering yeah, surrendering is51:08it doesn't need to make sense to me. I51:10don't care. Literally surrender it. The51:11whole point of surrender51:13is that, right? Like51:14>> But why you can finesse me?51:17>> You you finesse yourself every day.51:20>> How?51:21>> Do your feelings.51:22Do you want to sit there and and and51:24think about your depression and your51:26lone You want to be depressed? No. Why51:27are you depressed? You trust literally51:29your own feelings and those things which51:31you should surrender, which I'm telling51:32I tell you, men, surrender, man. Oh my51:34God, man.51:35>> [snorts]51:35>> For you, man. That is a crazy unlock51:38though. It's like just don't ask51:39questions.51:39>> Exactly. Just follow, man. We are called51:42sheep. What do sheep do? Baa, I don't51:44like the ra- I don't like the grass.51:46Baa, like they just follow. And when51:48they follow, the shepherd takes care of51:49them. It says, "Yeah, but what about51:51false prophets?" Right, and you're the51:52false prophet who leads yourself to51:53depression, too. So, what's the problem,51:55man?51:57>> We got to trust this tattooed51:59>> Yeah, trust this Chinese freak.52:01>> why people call us cults of the heart.52:04>> That's [laughter] what it said that?52:05>> Someone was like cults of the heart.52:06>> it's gangster.52:07>> Hey, the more haters we get we get, I'm52:09like it's growing.52:10>> [laughter]52:11>> I swear.52:12>> crazy, bro.52:13>> I swear. I'm like that's a that's a it's52:15a good indicator.52:16>> Listen, it's it's it's not about just52:18following blindly,52:20but it's like and Pastor Kim says this52:22all the time, which is such a bar. If52:24you're an amazing person,52:26you have no depression,52:28no loneliness, no isolation,52:30follow yourself.52:32Like, what's the point of following any52:34You're good.52:35What's the point, right? But if you52:37aren't doing that and you're like mad at52:40every third scroll, "Ah, how come I52:42don't have that? How come I don't If52:43you're doing this,52:44probably, if I'm keeping it a buck52:47fifty, keeping it real, you probably52:49would do better listening to somebody52:51who's like, "Hey, it's about52:53surrendering. It's good for you." Right?52:55Again, it's the same thing when it comes52:57to KJV, it's the same thing. Why would I52:59tell you guys to learn Hebrew, Aramaic,53:02and Koine Greek? For what? Just to be53:04like, "Aha, I'm going to make them so53:06miserable, yeah?" Like is that Like why53:08would I do that? Why would I tell you to53:10read King James Version Bible from Texas53:13Receptus Majority text to be like,53:16"Yeah, oh, did you hear that, Europe,53:19UK, yeah?53:20Give me my royalty, yeah?" Like, "No."53:23Why would I tell you that? Like people53:25can't think that far cuz they don't know53:28how to surrender.53:29And their surrender is a partial53:31surrender, too.53:32>> Transactional. It's like, "Okay,53:33>> transactional surrender.53:34>> I was like that, too, cuz I'd be like,53:35"Oh, Johnny is peace and he spits53:37verses." And he said KJV, "All right, if53:39I read the KJV,53:40>> I'm going to get right." And if you do53:42that, again, doesn't mean it's a bad53:44thing. You might receive grace to do53:47that. But what I what I've learned, what53:50I've surrendered is I don't want to just53:52be peaceful. I want to learn the heart53:54of God, and I want to be able to go,53:56"God, what is it that you want?" Because53:58that's the most peaceful thing. It's to54:00sit there and go, "All right, God. I'm54:02transactional. I know I am. You know I54:05am. But you could leave me like that,54:07and I could be like, "Wee, I got money.54:09Oh my gosh, it's amazing." Or I can go,54:11"Man, I really do have a relationship54:13with God, and he's given me so many54:15unlocks where I can see his heart54:16posture, and I can articulate that, and54:18I can grow with him." That is so much54:21better than just rolling in dough. Like54:23legit dough. Legit. It gets to the point54:25where it's like the unlocks and being54:28close to God and having confidence and54:30boldness to go, "We're close to God."54:32It's so much better than going like,54:34"Just give me what I want. Yeah, and54:36then I want to feel good, and then slap54:37God on top of it." But if he's not54:39there, it's okay. Just give me what I54:40want. Like this heart is so deceitful54:43and so evil, I would say.54:45>> Um ours. No, I thought of some stupid54:47joke, but it's too late now.54:49>> I also54:49>> [laughter]54:50>> I also had a stupid intrusive thought.54:51It was like54:53It it was like, "I'll test the richest54:55one." Like54:56>> [laughter]54:57>> here, I'll I'll test the ladder, and54:59I'll let you guys know if I'm happy or55:00not.55:00>> Mine was mine was why not both?55:03>> [laughter]55:04>> We're so dumb.55:07>> You guys learn nothing.55:09>> [laughter]55:11>> No, but then I surrendered that thought.55:12>> Learn something.55:14>> Back on the learning stream. I was like,55:15"All right,55:15>> [laughter]55:15>> God. I'm ready for my next test. A ton55:19of money."55:20>> [laughter]55:20>> Let's see if it corrupts me.55:25All right. All right. Just kidding. Just55:26kidding. I had the thought of maybe55:27God's keeping me broke for a good55:28reason.55:30Yeah, that must be why.55:32>> [laughter]55:33>> That that's Johnny's way. He's like,55:34"God's keeping you broke for a reason,55:36which is why $3.47 an hour is really55:40fair.55:41This is your it's a season. They use the55:43buzzwords. You're going through a season55:45right now.55:46Well, well, Johnny, couldn't I go work55:48for another company? No, this is where55:49you need to be.55:50>> He said his plan for you is $4 an hour.55:52>> [laughter]55:53>> Just align, brother. Trust me, you don't55:55know what's up.55:55>> Surrender. I'm like, ah.55:57>> [laughter]55:59>> That's crazy.56:00>> Let me ask you guys a question since you56:02guys asked me so much questions.56:04>> I got an answer.56:05>> You got an answer?56:06>> Yes.56:07>> How do you56:07>> Hebrews 10:14.56:09>> Good answer.56:10>> Have you guys ever felt like God was out56:12to get you? And you felt because of56:14that, you could like has God ever done56:17something in your life where you're56:18like, I can't trust him.56:20>> I can instantly answer no.56:22>> No?56:23>> No, I've always been loved, blessed, and56:25loved by God.56:26>> Dang.56:27>> used to say I was the luckiest guy I56:28know.56:29>> Dang.56:29>> And luck is a combination of timing and56:32preparation, but still you got to be56:34born into a lot of I mean, there's a lot56:35of I've always felt super lucky. I have56:38I have nine living grandparents. I have56:41>> Dang.56:43>> My parents divorced.56:44>> Oh, I was like,56:45>> And then they got remarried. So, I have56:47four parents, and all of them have both56:50of their parents. And then my stepmom56:52has a grandma, so I have a great56:53grandma.56:53>> I thought they were in some crazy56:55polyamory like what?56:57>> I'm just saying like I legit like57:00almost no bad things have ever happened57:02to me. Knock on wood, but57:04>> [laughter]57:04>> When the first grandparent is time,57:06you're going to be wrecked.57:07>> I know. Well, luckily I'm old now. I57:09mean, old enough to where I mean, it57:10would still be it's still going to be57:11horrible, absolutely horrible. But like57:12I can't like I remember friends when we57:14were growing up that like my grandma57:15died. It's just like that would have57:16sucked, but57:18>> [laughter]57:19>> Yeah, anyways. No, it'll be horrible,57:20but um57:21>> No, I've never57:22>> Okay, okay.57:22>> Yeah.57:23>> Then let me throw this question.57:24>> get an answer.57:26>> I know it's a no for you. If you're57:27thinking that hard,57:28>> Well, was was was it for you? Well, you57:31[laughter]57:33I'm bad.57:34>> Big brain pee What did I say?57:36>> So big brain.57:37>> Oh, I'm just No, I'm just asking that.57:40Is that what you Is that what you were57:42>> I was like, has there been anything that57:44happened to you THAT WAS LIKE57:45>> [laughter]57:48>> I DON'T KNOW.57:50>> MAYBE the 12 years I went to prison.57:52>> know, when I was locked up and thrown57:54away.57:55>> that beat me every day.57:56>> Yeah, maybe when I was born into like57:59abusive house when I'm just kidding.58:01>> you get to sit in this comfy chair and58:03talk to two really intelligent people.58:05>> Really? So intelligent. Gotcha. Gotcha.58:08One really intelligent guy.58:11>> [laughter]58:11>> Surrender that, bro. No, just kidding.58:14No, um58:15Yeah, of course. No, but I'm saying even58:17after being saved, there was a time58:19where I was like and I think a lot of58:21people can relate to this where I'm like58:23dang, that happened. I don't think I can58:24trust God. There's a lot of times where58:26especially early on I would have these58:27thoughts of like, I got to go back and58:30just like trust myself. See, I knew it.58:32I knew this wasn't right for me. And I58:34think a lot of people struggle with58:35that. I see it in cough all the time.58:37Like dang, Johnny, like58:39I studied the Bible. I fasted. I prayed.58:41I tithed. I literally sat there and58:42listened to your unlearned wisdom58:43podcast and I did this and this and this58:45and honestly58:47still this happened. And the hardest58:49thing to do is to tell them58:52it's because you have a transactional58:53heart, right? It's like, I want I'm only58:56following God so that he can bless me.59:00When you tell somebody that, oh my gosh,59:02it's the two things happen. World War59:04III breaks out. No, that's not true. No,59:07what do you mean? You don't know my Holy59:08Spirit or you go59:11dang, like I didn't even realize that.59:13That's the only two things, right? But59:15then there's like59:18if I'm being honest59:20the the latter the latter is more rare,59:23right? The first part is usually like,59:25no, I'm not transactional. I love God.59:27What's wrong me wanting to be blessed by59:29God? Like I thought he's a God that59:31blesses people. Like they can't even see59:33it. It's the It's the hardest thing. And59:36I Why I don't get mad at them or59:37frustrated with any of you guys, please59:39don't take this as a jab or or a stray,59:42I was the same. Pastor would sit there59:45and be like,59:46"Why do you just transactionalize God?59:49Why do you use God as like a vending59:51machine or like a genie, you know?59:54And you want him to grant your wishes."59:56And I would literally go59:59and try to make it logical. Like, "Isn't1:00:01it wrong What's wrong with that? If God1:00:03is here to provide for me and I'm his1:00:04son and his child, he's my father, he1:00:07should be provide Like what's wrong with1:00:09that?" I couldn't even see it. It was so1:00:12crazy. But I want you guys to understand1:00:14something.1:00:15That makes you so crooked foundationally1:00:19because now what happens is you can1:00:22never have a relationship with God in1:00:25that way. You don't realize that Satan1:00:26blocks our blessings by doing that.1:00:29Where God Imagine if if we treated God1:00:32If God treated us the way we treated1:00:34him. Oh, I'm only going to see Is Johnny1:00:36listening today? Oh, Johnny's like, "I'm1:00:37not going to bless him."1:00:39Oh, I'm only going to go to Johnny if1:00:40he's preaching. He's not preaching the1:00:42gospel.1:00:44I I'll see him later. Like1:00:47we only come to God when we need1:00:49something. Imagine God came to us when1:00:50he needed something. And what does he1:00:51ever need from us? Nothing. So like he1:00:54would never come to us if that's the1:00:55case. I'm so glad that God doesn't treat1:00:57me the way that I treat him. That's just1:00:59the real. Yes, Mr. Jerome.1:01:01>> Is it1:01:02truly possible for a human to not1:01:06be 100% transactional with God?1:01:08>> No, it's not 100%. You can't You can't1:01:11>> Cuz I feel like I'm Now you're saying1:01:12this, I'm like1:01:14>> Feeling kind of guilty.1:01:14>> of me that I No, no, no. I was talking1:01:17about Aaron.1:01:18No, there's there's I'm like there's a1:01:19lot of parts of me that still is like1:01:21there's still transaction in it, you1:01:23know?1:01:24>> But you know that's the beautiful thing.1:01:27God doesn't want you to stop being1:01:28transactional. God wants you to realize1:01:30that you are.1:01:31>> Mhm.1:01:31>> That's the thing. Cuz who even sits1:01:34there and does that? So transaction is1:01:36not necessarily a bad thing and it's not1:01:37our fault and I'll explain why.1:01:40If you want to get If you want to move1:01:41your car,1:01:42what do you have to do? If your car is1:01:44gas-powered or electric like1:01:45electrical-powered, right?1:01:47>> Or coal-powered like Aaron.1:01:48>> [laughter]1:01:50>> Or coal-powered, right? What do you need1:01:52to do? You need to buy a gas,1:01:54transaction, to then move your car,1:01:56right? You need to plug it in to then1:01:59move your car. From a young age, we're1:02:01taught transaction. This world is1:02:03literally built off of transaction. Any1:02:07third-world country or not, everything1:02:09is based off of trading, bartering1:02:10system, everything is off of quid pro1:02:13quid pro quo, which is I do this for1:02:15that, right? And so1:02:17if you do that and you're getting1:02:19ingrained ever since like the age of 2,1:02:213, 4, 5 years old and you're like 351:02:24years old, that's 30 years and 35 years1:02:27of just you being trained like, "Okay, I1:02:30I I'm going to do this for that." And1:02:32that's why this concept of grace and1:02:34surrender is so difficult for most1:02:36people1:02:37is because1:02:38you can't just receive something free1:02:40from God. Like it's you have to do1:02:42something for it. That's what we're1:02:43taught. Because in this world, we're1:02:45taught to do something. But what does1:02:47the Bible tell us? "I am not of this1:02:49world." God says, "My way, Isaiah 55:8,1:02:52my way is not your way. My thoughts are1:02:54definitely not your thoughts." Right?1:02:56And so But what do we think? No, my way1:02:58is God's way. I have the Holy Spirit and1:03:00if I feel that, that's what it is.1:03:02That's not what's That's not the case,1:03:04though. And so we have to be okay with1:03:06the fact that we're transactional and we1:03:09have to be thankful that, man, even1:03:11though I'm transactional from birth, God1:03:13doesn't throw me away. So many times, I1:03:15think the biggest question I ask God is1:03:17not like why do you do this? Why did you1:03:19do that? It's literally why do you love1:03:22me?1:03:23Like there's many times where I look at1:03:24myself and I'm just like1:03:26frustrated, you know, with myself and1:03:28I'm just like1:03:29man, like1:03:31what am I doing? Like why am I like1:03:33this? But then I'm like how much more so1:03:35is God frustrated with me?1:03:37And I don't even like myself. Why does1:03:39he like me? Why does he care about me?1:03:41At the end of the day it's like oh my1:03:43gosh,1:03:44I'm I don't even love myself and he1:03:46loves a person like me. That's what1:03:47generates the love for God at the end of1:03:49the day, right? So1:03:51I think like most people struggle seeing1:03:54that. I'm not saying we shouldn't be1:03:56trans at we even if I ask you guys not1:03:58to be transactional,1:04:00you're not. There's people in our in our1:04:01Discord that always does this.1:04:03Johnny, you know,1:04:05how do I like get grow closer with God,1:04:08you know, how do I and I'm like that's1:04:09not bad in itself, but it's like I then1:04:12give them legit biblical standards.1:04:15Love God with all your heart and all1:04:16your mind and all your soul. Don't work.1:04:18Preach the gospel till you die. Blah1:04:20blah. And they're sitting there like1:04:22writing it down. But I'm like you can't1:04:25do those things. Like you asking1:04:28me how to do it,1:04:31if you could do it, you wouldn't be1:04:32asking me. You would just follow and you1:04:33would do it. The whole point is God is1:04:35going you can't keep my commandments.1:04:36You can't do what I ask you to do.1:04:38That's why I sent Jesus as a substitute1:04:40to do everything for you. You literally1:04:42can't do it. You have to acknowledge1:04:44that part. You have to surrender to that1:04:46part. Oh, I'm nothing. I can't do1:04:48anything. That's why God sent Jesus for1:04:51me to die1:04:52for for to die for me. But at the end of1:04:54the day people get that misconstrued.1:04:58Dang, I I but I still got to do1:04:59something for God. I can do something1:05:01for God. If I just try a little harder,1:05:02I can do it.1:05:04Trying is not doing number one, right?1:05:06That's just the real. If I'm trying to1:05:07get to Korea right now and I'm in LA, I1:05:09can try my hardest, but I'm not there in1:05:11Korea. I'm still in LA. So, trying1:05:14doesn't equate automatically to doing1:05:16something. God is like, either do it or,1:05:19you know, you you fail. And that's why1:05:21he sent Jesus who did everything. So, as1:05:23long as we understand that, you know,1:05:24and that then, you know, I always get1:05:26the follow-up question. How then do I1:05:28trust God in under any circumstance?1:05:30Okay, I acknowledge that I'm1:05:31transactional. I acknowledge that I1:05:33can't do well. Then how do I trust God?1:05:36How is it that I fully fully trust God?1:05:38That question in itself kind of leaks a1:05:41little bit of a person's heart posture.1:05:43For example, when you ask that question,1:05:45how then do I trust God? How then do I1:05:47surrender everything to God?1:05:49Number one, you think you can,1:05:52but also, there's this idea of trusting1:05:55God is like being growling. It's like,1:05:57I'm powerful. I'm super strong. I have1:05:59to like, with all my might, like,1:06:02white-knuckle it and just trust God.1:06:04Like, I got to be like Job, you know,1:06:05like, everything gets taken away from me1:06:07and I'm like, yeah, like, I got to be1:06:09strong.1:06:10Actually, when you look at the word1:06:11trust in Hebrew, it's batach, right? B A1:06:14T A C H, and it says to lie helpless on1:06:19your face.1:06:21Like, why would he And when you look at1:06:23Proverbs chapter 3, verse 5 to 6,1:06:25everyone talks about this. Very famous1:06:28verse. Lean not Trust in the Lord with1:06:30all your heart. Lean not on your own1:06:32understanding. Everybody knows this1:06:34verse. People got it tattooed and1:06:35everything. That word trust is batach,1:06:38right? Which means lay helpless in front1:06:41of God. So, then how do we trust God? We1:06:44have to be completely helpless. We have1:06:46to get to the point where we're like, I1:06:49can't do anything. You have to do1:06:51everything.1:06:52Right? Pastor Kim we used to say this,1:06:54and it's such a bar. I didn't understand1:06:55it until it happened to me.1:06:57He goes, if you have 1% of I can do it1:06:59in your heart, 1%, you're not going to1:07:02be able to meet God.1:07:03And I was like, dang, that's hella1:07:05harsh. Like, if that's the case,1:07:06nobody's meeting God. But, I realized1:07:09something. God allows trials and1:07:10tribulations in your life for what? To1:07:12break you down. He goes, "I will break1:07:14you down to then build you up. I will do1:07:16it." We're over here trying to humble1:07:17ourselves. We're over here trying to1:07:19break ourselves down. It never works1:07:20out. At the end of the day, God is like,1:07:22"I have to break you down." Right? So,1:07:25trust usually comes from what? When1:07:26you're helpless.1:07:28Right? If How do I trust somebody? It's1:07:30easy for me to trust somebody if I'm1:07:32starving and I'm homeless and I'm broken1:07:34and someone's like, "Yo, do you need a1:07:35ride? Like, I got you." You don't even1:07:37know that person. Let's say you have1:07:39your own car and you have everything and1:07:41someone pulls up and goes, "Do you need1:07:42a ride?" You're going to be like, "Yo,1:07:43what the hell? You're weird, bro." Like,1:07:45people ain't There's There's Uber1:07:46nowadays. Like, what are you talking1:07:47about? There's Waymo. Like, why would I1:07:49do that? But, let's say I have nothing1:07:51and someone and I have to get somewhere1:07:52and someone's like, "Yo, bro, do you1:07:54need a ride?" Then, we lean on that1:07:55because we're helpless. We have no other1:07:57route.1:07:58The only way to trust in God is when all1:08:00your other ways collapse and you fall1:08:02into1:08:03Jesus and you only go his way. So, John1:08:0614:6 is very clear.1:08:08Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth,1:08:10the life." Right? So,1:08:13the way means only way. It means the1:08:15only way to Jesus is when all of your1:08:17other ways has died.1:08:20Everything has stopped. Okay, I tried to1:08:21be a gang member, that didn't work. I1:08:23tried to apply for jobs, that didn't1:08:24work. Nothing works and the only way is1:08:27Jesus Christ. That's the That's how you1:08:29trust him. It's not like, "Oh, I'm going1:08:31to try so hard and I'm going to do this1:08:33and I'm going to do that." Right? You1:08:34trust the most when you have the least,1:08:36basically. That's what it comes down to.1:08:38So, if you guys want to go deeper with1:08:40the Bible Unlocks and just having these1:08:42biblical resources, guys, we created an1:08:44app called Core of the Heart Daily.1:08:45Every single morning I write a personal1:08:47daily devotional that helps you start1:08:49your day with God and make God a habit1:08:51in your life. Back to the1:09:17episode.1:09:18>> The 1% thing is still throwing me off1:09:20because it's like even in my life today,1:09:23I don't trust God 100%.1:09:26>> Yeah.1:09:27And and that's what the whole point is.1:09:29Like1:09:30>> You can't.1:09:31>> Yeah.1:09:31>> So, when you do, you can't boast. When1:09:33you finally do, that's what you have to1:09:35remember. Oh, I'm not a person who can1:09:37trust God. Lord, I I I know myself. I1:09:40can't even I have one I have 10%, 20% of1:09:42my 30% where I still think I can do1:09:44something.1:09:45But Lord, like you're the one who has to1:09:47break me down. And that's what I always1:09:49pray. I say, "Father God, I know that1:09:51you have to break me down in a lot of1:09:52ways and a lot of areas where I don't1:09:54even see it."1:09:55Lord, I ask one thing is you please be1:09:57gentle with me. Because I ask for gentle1:10:00because I'm like, "Bro, it if he just1:10:02like flicks me with his pinky, I'm like1:10:05already screaming1:10:06like going hella crazy." Because God,1:10:08when he works and he moves, it's swift,1:10:11bro. Any of you guys ever been humbled1:10:13by God? It is crazy It's1:10:16It's like Peter weeping. Like he wept1:10:18bitterly because it's so And And all he1:10:21did was use words. Like, you know, at1:10:23the end of the day, God really does1:10:25correct us because he loves us, right?1:10:27He'll chastise us because of love. And1:10:29he has to do that because we're so1:10:31hardened. But the the the first start of1:10:34like growing and leveling up is going,1:10:36"I'm hardened.1:10:38I'm not ever going to search for God.1:10:39And in fact, I get in God's way and I1:10:41try to get in God's way. Me, little old1:10:44puny human, tries to do things that God1:10:46can do. And I will never realize that1:10:48until he makes me realize that. And so,1:10:52once that happens, it's such a beautiful1:10:54unlock. It's kind of crazy, right? So,1:10:57again, trust comes from when you're1:10:59fallen, when you're helpless, and that's1:11:00why he says, "I am nigh close." Psalm1:11:0334: 19, "I am nigh close to those who1:11:06are broken in heart, broken spirit."1:11:08Right? You have to be broken for him to1:11:10then piece you back together. You can't1:11:12trust in God if you're not broken. It's1:11:14very difficult, right? Every single1:11:16person from Moses, Abraham, Isaac,1:11:18Jacob, to Saul who turned into Paul, to1:11:20King David,1:11:22Solomon, they all had to be broken down1:11:25bad, like bad bad. And for us, we're in1:11:28a era of grace where we don't even have1:11:30to be broken down like that. It takes1:11:31very little to break us down. So, yeah.1:11:34Allow God to break you down so he could1:11:35build you up.1:11:37>> And take-away is that you don't trust1:11:38God fully cuz you're spoiled.1:11:41Facts. You've never had to get broken1:11:43down all the way.1:11:44>> Oh, no, I've been broken down.1:11:45>> All the way?1:11:46>> Um1:11:47>> Then you'd be 100%.1:11:49Um1:11:50Oh, come on, Johnny, step in here.1:11:52>> I've been broken down pretty bad.1:11:54>> Yeah, for sure. For sure.1:11:55>> In a lot of ways.1:11:56>> About like 2%.1:11:58>> There's no way that I would1:12:00>> kidding.1:12:01I'm just kidding, all right. I'm just1:12:03kidding, it's not 2%, it's 3%.1:12:05>> [laughter]1:12:06>> I don't think he's been truly broken1:12:08down because Daddy Jeremy just puts him1:12:09on his back.1:12:11>> But I should I should let I should let1:12:13him1:12:13>> Daddy Jeremy is his shield.1:12:14>> fully broken down. I'd be like I'd be1:12:16like taking Aaron's lashings from God1:12:19for him.1:12:20>> [laughter]1:12:20>> I'm like, "I'm sorry."1:12:21>> You're like his You're like his shield.1:12:23>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm his shield.1:12:25>> Nah. Um No, you've definitely been1:12:27broken down a lot, Jerome, for real, in1:12:29in a lot of ways. Before I1:12:32We were saying this yesterday, right?1:12:33We're we're1:12:35I was like, "Dude, people around you1:12:37have been leveling up, too."1:12:38>> Agreed.1:12:39>> Right? And so, it's it's such a1:12:40beautiful thing to to kind of see1:12:43like how much God has broken us down.1:12:45And I think he has.1:12:47You're You're like You're You're rough1:12:49and rugged, though, low-key, bro. You're1:12:51like a1:12:52>> [snorts]1:12:52>> You're like a Toyota Camry, bro. Like1:12:55you don't you're very reliable you don't1:12:56break down, bro. Like they could neglect1:12:58you with oil changes and you're still1:13:00[laughter] good. It's just it's crazy,1:13:02right? Because1:13:03>> That's cool.1:13:04>> You're asking me, have you been broken1:13:05down? But then you had a company that,1:13:08you know, like was your baby, bro. Like1:13:10and like you had to just like let it go.1:13:13That's so difficult for someone to put1:13:15that much time and amount into a company1:13:18for 5 years? Was it?1:13:20>> Basically.1:13:21>> 5 years and then to nurture it and to1:13:23build it and and what's even harder and1:13:25I'll give you this, Jeremy, is that a1:13:27lot of the times, bro, you're right.1:13:28Don't get high-hearted, but you are. And1:13:30and and and you have a lot of foresight.1:13:32And so when when you know you know1:13:35what's so difficult is when you know1:13:36something is right, but everybody else1:13:38is kind of behind in that aspect. And1:13:40then you you1:13:41like how you maintain and I believe this1:13:43is all grace of God, honestly. How you1:13:45maintain to go, all right, I'll just1:13:47wait or I'll just call Johnny and like1:13:49what do I what do I do about this with1:13:51although this is this like you you you1:13:52let it go at the end of the day. That's1:13:55proof that you were broken down. Because1:13:56before it would be more of like, but I'm1:13:58right though and I know that I know what1:14:00I know. And like if if people just1:14:02follow,1:14:03that's just what it is like it's going1:14:05to be fine. And a lot of the times, you1:14:07know,1:14:08even if you're not right,1:14:10but you have that heart and every one of1:14:12us here can agree with attest to this.1:14:14There's times where I feel like I know1:14:16I'm right even though I'm completely1:14:17wrong, but you're that reality is true1:14:19for you because you believe that you're1:14:20right. And then someone doesn't follow,1:14:23even if the the outcome isn't, you know,1:14:25proves that you're right, in the moment1:14:28of when you're like so like I know I'm1:14:30right, I have this experience, I have1:14:32the the the paperwork to back it up, I1:14:34have the track record, and they don't1:14:37listen, even if people like just 1% of1:14:40that can make people flip and go, I'm1:14:42not working with these people. I'm not1:14:43I'm why am I even doing this? But like1:14:45I've seen you grow through that and just1:14:48be like it's cool. All right, I am1:14:49struggling with it which you have before1:14:51but be like what do I do here here and1:14:53here and I'm always tying you back to1:14:55grace which I think that has broken you1:14:58down cuz most of the time it would just1:15:00be like1:15:01I'm not I'm not going to work like I1:15:02never want to be friends with this1:15:04specific person. I I don't I don't wish1:15:06them ill but like it's gone to the point1:15:08where it's like I can't I can't mess1:15:10with you and I can't talk to you. I've1:15:11tried my best. I'm taxed and that's it.1:15:14And you don't I don't see that at our1:15:16company at all. It's more of just like1:15:19it's it's wave after wave where I'm I'm1:15:21always like kind of like dang is Jeremy1:15:22going to be like this is that final1:15:24straw and and what's what's scary is1:15:27that I've been I've been in that1:15:29position with mentoring pastors1:15:32and they don't sense it. And that's the1:15:34hardest part is when you're sitting1:15:36there and you're going they flew me out1:15:38to help you and you're not even looking1:15:41at that like I'm here to help you and1:15:43you're just like what? What the hell are1:15:44you talking about? Like I I do what I1:15:45do. I know what man. Relax. Like I know1:15:47what I and it's like why am I here?1:15:50Right? That is so difficult to be like1:15:53all right, let me keep helping them. Let1:15:55me just let me just suck it up. You know1:15:57what I mean? And it's like1:15:59but I seen I seen that in you and I'm1:16:00like wow, it really is God. I'm not1:16:02saying this to boost your heart.1:16:03Genuinely, it's God who he broke you1:16:05down. He gave you one thing that was1:16:07really good Jerome where you literally1:16:09sit there and you're like when I don't1:16:10feel something, I'm just going to talk1:16:11about it. Hey Johnny, like I'm1:16:13struggling with this. I went with I went1:16:14through this this and this and like1:16:16you're able to ask these questions and1:16:18just kind of move forward with it.1:16:20Whereas people ask the questions1:16:22but they're waiting to like hear their1:16:24own guidance and their own1:16:26interpretation. So what I say they'll1:16:27interpret it versus accept what I'm1:16:29saying.1:16:30Yeah, so it's kind of crazy bro. I think1:16:32everyone can learn from that. I think1:16:34that's the one thing that God has graced1:16:36you with and even with Aaron too. He's1:16:38graced Aaron with that too to think1:16:39about other people and go okay, I could1:16:41see it from this position and I can grow1:16:43and I can be like, all right, like you1:16:45know, that that's the one thing with1:16:47Aaron, it's like that the devil's1:16:48advocate, right? It's always like we're1:16:50all like, we're going to cut this1:16:51person. He's like, well,1:16:53>> [laughter]1:16:53>> there's certain things or you know, I1:16:55understand why and like look listen, you1:16:57know, he'll like say that and we're just1:16:58like, damn, that's true.1:17:00Right, so1:17:00>> Or he'll be like, we want to keep this1:17:01person. I'm like, well,1:17:03>> Yeah.1:17:03There's like the other right, it's like1:17:05[laughter] he's doing great and he's1:17:07Aaron is like Yeah, he's great, but you1:17:09know, I just I [laughter] do.1:17:10>> Never mind.1:17:11>> I'll I'll say I was driving here and I1:17:13was like really grateful for where our1:17:14company's at. We're fine we're finally1:17:16in kind of a rhythm where we have like a1:17:17good core group of people.1:17:19>> Facts.1:17:19>> And people are on the same page, they1:17:21all work really hard, they care about1:17:22the mission, they want this thing to1:17:24improve, you don't have to tell them1:17:25what to do. They come to the table with1:17:27their own ideas. It's like it's very1:17:29refreshing and I'm like dang, only 21:17:31years ago, 2 and 1/2 years ago it was1:17:33the three of us.1:17:34>> It's crazy.1:17:35>> It was the three of us just like, hey1:17:38hey Johnny, this this is the guy uh1:17:40>> Yeah, even before that it was just you1:17:41two.1:17:42>> Yeah, it was crazy.1:17:43>> Yeah, but I was like, hey,1:17:44you get it? Trust me.1:17:46>> Yeah.1:17:46>> Give this guy some money.1:17:48>> And so funny. And I didn't want to1:17:50either. You were telling me to, you were1:17:51like, trust me, this guy's the real1:17:52deal. I was like, ah, nah, nah.1:17:54>> Yeah, yeah, it was like both sides, like1:17:56trust him and then he was telling you1:17:57trust me. It was crazy.1:17:58>> I remember the first time I ever talked1:18:00to you, I knew right away. I'm like,1:18:01this guy's the real deal.1:18:02>> Really? What was it? I don't remember1:18:03what the first conversation was.1:18:05>> vividly. I remember talking to you one1:18:07time. Because before all this, I was1:18:08pretty skeptical about just like1:18:10religious stuff in general and I'm just1:18:12like, what is all this? Like I just like1:18:13never thought I'd be in the in the space1:18:15at all. And then um I talked to him and1:18:16I'm like, this guy's the real deal. He1:18:18believes everything he's saying, he1:18:20knows exactly what he's talking about.1:18:21His testimony is like I was just like,1:18:23it's just there was no sense of like1:18:26what I had previously thought that were1:18:28like religious especially1:18:29>> like organized religion.1:18:31>> like none of that. I'm like, I'm like,1:18:32whether I even believe what he's saying1:18:34or not, he does. Like he believes what1:18:37he's said. Like, I'm whether we1:18:39align religiously or not, I'm like, he1:18:41is the real deal.1:18:42And just talking to you, you can tell1:18:44when people are just like care about1:18:45what they're talking about versus like1:18:47someone who's just kind of doing it for1:18:48whatever. And I've worked with a lot of1:18:50creators, a lot of influencers, a lot of1:18:51musicians, world class. You know my1:18:54worked with big and small all the same.1:18:55And then when I talked to him, I'm like,1:18:56this guy is the real deal. Right away I1:18:58was like, fine, let's do it.1:19:00>> [laughter]1:19:00>> That was a I'd say that's the thing1:19:02about you that I think no matter what1:19:04you can't can't fake. You're not a faker1:19:07at all.1:19:08>> Yeah, yeah.1:19:08>> And I think that that's why it comes1:19:09across, right? Like, when people really1:19:11listen to your content or they hear you1:19:13speak or they feel a sermon, it's like1:19:16there's nothing fake about it. You1:19:18>> know, when you hear the the1:19:21You know, you can just hear certain1:19:22people and it's like, okay, this feels a1:19:23little bit acting or they're just kind1:19:26of using buzzwords, but it's like with1:19:28you it's like I don't I don't think I've1:19:29ever felt1:19:31They may not like what you say, but1:19:33they're like,1:19:34>> okay, he's 100% real on what he stands1:19:36for.1:19:36>> Amen.1:19:37>> Yeah.1:19:37>> Dang, that's crazy. Dude, pastor just1:19:39said just to preach and then all the1:19:42rest will follow. So, that's so true.1:19:44>> Dude, it's getting so big.1:19:46>> No, it really is, man. It really is.1:19:49>> 46,000 downloads on the app.1:19:50[clears throat]1:19:51>> Yippee!1:19:51>> Yeah.1:19:52>> That's wild and it's been out1:19:54technically for1:19:55>> Seven weeks?1:19:56>> Seven weeks.1:19:57>> Seven weeks.1:19:57>> Shalom.1:19:58>> If you guys are listening and don't have1:19:59the app yet, give it a try.1:20:01>> the funniest comment. It was like, "Yo,1:20:03I'm Johnny, I'm loving your I commented1:20:05it, but I signed my name so they know1:20:07it's from me, not you on the other one.1:20:09It was like, 'Johnny, I'm loving the1:20:11devotions. I'm I I quote it and I send1:20:14it to my friends and they love it and1:20:15it's the biggest unlocks.' And I just1:20:16commented, 'Why don't you have them1:20:18download the app?'1:20:20>> [laughter]1:20:21>> That's Jeremy. It's like, they're1:20:23they're loving what I'm sending them and1:20:25it's like, well, just have them download1:20:26the app.1:20:27>> [laughter]1:20:29>> That's great.1:20:30>> are loving it. I saw this other video1:20:31where1:20:32a was like, "Oh, I was talking to this1:20:33other founder. They're doing a million1:20:35app downloads a day. Like, it's just1:20:37Yeah, it was like a It was a website or1:20:39something crazy." And he was like, "And1:20:40you don't get to He was like, that is1:20:42purely when you hit those kinds of1:20:43numbers, you've hit word of mouth. It1:20:46has become And then he explained what it1:20:47does. It It wasn't an It is an app. It's1:20:49an app, but it's also on I'll explain1:20:52what it is at the end." But he was like,1:20:53"When you hit that point, it is no1:20:55longer your content, it is no longer1:20:58your ads cuz no ad will spit out that1:21:00amount. And if you did, you'd be burning1:21:02so much money, it's not profitable. It's1:21:04purely It's created so much impact, it's1:21:07word of mouth." And what it was was a1:21:08browser where you can1:21:10bypass people's paywalls. So, you can1:21:12use like Netflix for free.1:21:14>> What?1:21:14>> But that's illegal.1:21:15>> It's Of course, it's illegal, but it's1:21:17spreading like wildfire and everybody's1:21:19downloading this1:21:19>> I'm probably not the right guy to say1:21:21that's illegal.1:21:22>> Yeah, yeah, [laughter] yeah, yeah.1:21:23>> John was like, "Wait, that's illegal."1:21:24>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.1:21:25>> That's illegal. It's like, "What about1:21:26all the bricks you bent and stepped on?"1:21:28>> And I know I know I know after this1:21:30you're going to be like, "Hey, WHAT WAS1:21:31THAT BROWSER?" [laughter]1:21:35>> THAT'S MESSED UP, BRO.1:21:36>> I'm kidding.1:21:37>> I would never say, "Hey, bro, what's1:21:38that browser?"1:21:39>> [laughter]1:21:39>> But anyways, I was like I was like To1:21:41me, it was like so funny. I was like,1:21:42"This person like just word of mouth1:21:44it."1:21:45>> [laughter]1:21:45>> JUST GIVE THEM THE APP. IT'S free It's1:21:48to download. It's in there. They can use1:21:50a lot of the features for free.1:21:51>> it's it's just1:21:53>> [sighs]1:21:54>> it's wild. I still1:21:56I can't I sound like a broken record,1:21:58but I still can't fathom where we're at1:22:02>> Yeah.1:22:02>> with the app stuff. Like, I I I don't1:22:04know. Like, I'm happy,1:22:07but I don't know how to like feel like1:22:08joyous about it. Does that make sense?1:22:10And I think it's because I don't1:22:11>> you. You go like this. Put your hands1:22:12up. Your feet up. Yeah.1:22:15>> No, but I'm saying like because I never1:22:17went through this type of stuff, I don't1:22:19know the1:22:21>> benchmark1:22:22>> give you the I'll give you something.1:22:23>> Yeah, can you can you like explain what1:22:24it is?1:22:25>> be The difference would be Let's say1:22:26there's a knock at the door and the1:22:28police take you away. Right now, and1:22:30lock you up again forever. Do you know1:22:31that feeling?1:22:32>> you know, example.1:22:33>> Yeah, yeah, but you know that feeling?1:22:35>> Yeah.1:22:35>> Yeah, yeah, how that would make you1:22:36feel? Now, think about this instead of1:22:38all the people you're helping. Does that1:22:39change anything in your heart?1:22:41>> Yeah, yeah, no, but I'm saying like I1:22:42can't gauge the success.1:22:44>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's tough.1:22:45>> Like I want to be able to be like,1:22:47"Whoa!"1:22:47>> Okay, I'll tell you how to do it. Yeah,1:22:49okay, go to start Starter Story, it's1:22:50the YouTube channel Starter Story, and1:22:52look at all the people he's he's1:22:54interviewing. And look at all the people1:22:56Sort it by popular. The videos that he1:22:58has that has millions and millions of1:23:00views, and look at what they're1:23:01celebrating the success for, and what1:23:03all the comments are being like, "Oh my1:23:06god!"1:23:07Just1:23:08>> Uh-huh. And compare that to ours.1:23:09>> that to what what we're doing.1:23:10>> Oh, snap. Not that easy right there.1:23:12>> I'll tell you that some people work1:23:15really, really hard and can't get 45,0001:23:18followers1:23:20on an app they already have.1:23:22>> Damn.1:23:23>> Let alone getting 45,000 people to go1:23:25off of social media and download your1:23:27own app. It's like some people1:23:29struggle to even get that many followers1:23:31in general. Taking 200,000 emails and1:23:33pretty much getting 25% of them to get1:23:35an app is pretty crazy.1:23:37>> That is Dang, that is kind of crazy.1:23:39Okay.1:23:39>> But ultimately, too, it's like yo, I1:23:41think the the reason why is because and1:23:43I read the comments on the daily1:23:45devotions. It's impacting people. The1:23:47way you write, the way you're able to1:23:48break things down. Again, it was that1:23:50the very first conversation where it's1:23:51like it's all God, but it's I had to do1:23:53some work. For you1:23:55>> take the time to be like, "How can I1:23:57help at least whoever's willing to1:23:59listen understand this message?"1:24:01That is the sauce right there.1:24:02>> We haven't really said what it is for a1:24:04second, but if you want a free daily1:24:06devotional written by Johnny every1:24:07single morning for free, download the1:24:10free app. Order the heart daily. I don't1:24:11like saying that anymore because people1:24:13think it's just a daily devotion app. If1:24:14you want Go find there's amazing a1:24:16million amazing things.1:24:17>> Yes, it's the last spiritual growth app1:24:19you will ever need. If you're ever like1:24:21it's the last spiritual growth app1:24:23you'll need. It's a habit tracker, it's1:24:24a daily devotion, there's a Bible.1:24:26The content is so dense and like insane.1:24:30If you start with Genesis 1 Bible study,1:24:33if you go to Bible class section, not on1:24:34top of the group member mentorship where1:24:36he's helping people, not on top of the1:24:37documentaries, not on top of the1:24:38sermons. If you go to Bible class and1:24:40you sort it by oldest first, the first1:24:42Bible study when it when when he's on a1:24:44janky Zoom camera on his computer and1:24:46you1:24:48And the bro is stuttering and he not is1:24:50cross-eyed and he's got no tattoos.1:24:52They're like, "What is that?" [laughter]1:24:53And all that is a lot. It might sound1:24:55overwhelming, but you can go explore.1:24:56There's so many cool features, but if1:24:58you want to just keep it very, very1:24:59simple, just know if you want a free1:25:01daily devotional written every single1:25:02morning by Johnny, download the free app1:25:05Core of the Heart Daily for a daily1:25:07devotional. There's so much other1:25:08amazing stuff to go find.1:25:09>> I'm just saying1:25:10>> To see how deep it goes, go listen to1:25:12the Genesis 1 Bible class.1:25:14>> Yeah.1:25:15>> That is the most life-changing Bible1:25:17class. I'm like, "What?" Then you1:25:18understand why it's a Bible class, not1:25:20like a a goofy open discussion. But also1:25:22[laughter] on top But on top of that1:25:24>> using stuff like that cuz then people1:25:26are going to see and go "Well, I have1:25:28open discussions in Bible study. The1:25:30Holy Spirit led me."1:25:32>> Yeah, trust your feelings. See where it1:25:34takes you. You're going to end up like1:25:36me.1:25:37>> [laughter]1:25:38>> And ultimately, uh but that that in1:25:41itself it's just like people don't1:25:43realize one video and it's like it's1:25:46free 14 days to get the gold and just1:25:48dive in. And not only that, the Gospel1:25:50Bot thing is just bananas.1:25:51>> Yeah. Seriously, like if you guys1:25:53obviously when I'm doing these live1:25:55streams, there's anywhere from 5, 6,0001:25:57people in it. I can't see your guys'1:25:59comments. I can't see every single1:26:01question, even if you're spamming it to1:26:03death cuz I have six different chats1:26:05going on.1:26:06The Gospel [clears throat] Bot will1:26:07really help you. I literally made that1:26:09suggestion live one time.1:26:11They downloaded the app and they were1:26:12like, "Oh my gosh, like my question I1:26:14could just ask Gospel Bot because it's1:26:15trained on all of my teachings. 101:26:18years, everything that I've ever1:26:20accumulated in here, written, voice,1:26:23from the beginning, every all my old1:26:25daily devotionals, all my stuff. And so,1:26:27it's not like pulling from ChatGPT, it's1:26:29not pulling from Claude, Gemini, it's1:26:31literally pulling just from me. And1:26:34obviously, all of that came from the1:26:35Holy Spirit. So, you know, when you're1:26:37able to ask that question, it's it's1:26:38crazy. And we will preview it, too, on1:26:40the Stream-A-Thon. That's that's going1:26:41to be nuts.1:26:42>> Powered by Johnny GPT.1:26:44>> Literally, Johnny GPT.1:26:46>> All right. It's the last1:27:09spiritual growth app you'll ever need.1:27:11And you can thank Johnny.1:27:13>> Guys, our live events are getting super1:27:15packed. We genuinely need some help, so1:27:17we're looking for a live events1:27:19producer.1:27:20>> So, I'm going to be completely honest1:27:21about this. There's a lot of moving1:27:23pieces, from booking a church, finding1:27:25the vendors, scanning in the people, the1:27:27volunteers, the merch. Like, there's so1:27:29many moving pieces that I'm just going1:27:30to say right now, we're looking for a1:27:32professional. We're looking for someone1:27:33who has done this before. If you're1:27:35watching and you're like, "Oh, I think I1:27:36can help their live events." Honestly,1:27:37you're probably not the pick. But, if1:27:39you're watching and you're saying, "Oh,1:27:40I've done this before. I've thrown live1:27:41events. I've even maybe worked in a1:27:43church space." please reach out. We're1:27:44looking for a killer, someone who can1:27:46really coordinate everything. It's a ton1:27:48of moving pieces. At the end of the day,1:27:49it's nothing too hard or complicated,1:27:51but it's a lot of details, a lot of1:27:53moving pieces. And for us to be doing1:27:54this every single month, once a month,1:27:56or even more, it's almost impossible,1:27:58because we each run different branches1:27:59of the business. So, for us to do this1:28:01ourselves, it's becoming unscalable. So,1:28:02if you think you know you know, I can1:28:04come in, take this over, I'll learn from1:28:07them, we'll teach you everything, and1:28:08you think, "I can take the information1:28:09and go throw them live events every1:28:11single month in a different city for the1:28:13rest of the next 10 years. If you're1:28:15hearing this and you think that's you,1:28:16please reach out. We pay super1:28:18competitively. We have honestly a really1:28:20good pay for you guys cuz we really want1:28:21to do this. Live events are super1:28:22important to Johnny and all of us and1:28:24all of you guys. So, we want to keep1:28:26doing them. We want to keep making them1:28:27super amazing. And that's why honestly1:28:29we're looking for a killer. Like it1:28:31we're not really going to hire anyone to1:28:32test them out or try to train. We're1:28:34looking for someone who has done this1:28:35before and is ready to do it for us. And1:28:37we're going to pay you very handsomely1:28:39for it. So, please reach out. The best1:28:41way to do it, there's a link in the1:28:42description. There's a job application1:28:43that details everything and the pay. So,1:28:45please fill it out. Please pay attention1:28:47to the instructions. There's a lot of1:28:49instructions that if you don't pay1:28:50attention to them, we're not even going1:28:51to look at your application. So, cutting1:28:53to the chase, we're looking for a live1:28:55events killer. If you are that person or1:28:57if you know that person, if someone at1:28:58your church maybe throws the events, if1:29:00you want to recommend it to a friend or1:29:01a family member, we want an awesome1:29:04beast live events producer.1:29:06>> The last thing I'll add is you're going1:29:07to be handling everything from thousand1:29:09to 5,000 person live events. We do1:29:12prison ministry, overseas trips. We want1:29:14to do We have big plans to take Heart of1:29:16the Heart global and you would be the1:29:18lynchpin that controls all of that. So,1:29:21with that being said, again, like Aaron1:29:23said, I'm only harping it again,1:29:25there's a lot of people that are1:29:26applying because you have a heart for1:29:28the mission mission, which is great, but1:29:30only because of past experiences, we1:29:32have a very particular vision of what1:29:34this person needs to be. We're also1:29:36being advised by people that have done1:29:38this at extremely high level who are1:29:40helping us vet the applications. So,1:29:42it's going to be a very1:29:45like select group of people that are1:29:46looking at your application. So, please1:29:48do not be offended if we don't pick you.1:29:50Just understand we have a lot of input1:29:53and we are very specific on what we1:29:54need. So, we're very appreciative if you1:29:56try, but please again understand that1:29:59we've we've gone through a lot of ups1:30:01and downs to understand what we need or1:30:02want.1:30:03>> So, if you want to apply, the link is in1:30:05in description. Also, for anyone else1:30:06still listening, if you want to come to1:30:07these awesome live events, text in after1:30:10to 323-613-35771:30:14for free live events in a city near you.1:30:16>> Or download Core of the Heart Daily.1:30:18>> I genuinely want to thank you guys for1:30:20tuning in and just supporting Core of1:30:22the Heart. Without you guys, we1:30:24obviously we wouldn't be able to go1:30:26global. And so, we are looking for that1:30:29that perfect piece, right, to1:30:32uh take us global and help us with the1:30:33live event. So, if that's you, we really1:30:35do appreciate you guys for for applying1:30:38and um hope to work with you guys soon.1:30:41And like we always do on Unlearn Wisdom1:30:44podcast, we end with the prayer because1:30:46it's so important. So, let us all bow1:30:49our heads and I'll pray us out.1:30:51Heavenly Father, thank you so much,1:30:52Lord. You said when two or three are1:30:54gathered, there you are in the midst of1:30:55them. Father God, you are teaching us1:30:57through the Holy Spirit, Father God,1:30:59today that to let go of everything. That1:31:02surrender is just really this illusion1:31:04of control, and true surrender is1:31:07understanding that we never had that1:31:08control to begin with. It's admitting1:31:10that you, Father God, are always in1:31:12control, no matter how much we try, no1:31:15matter how much we strive, it's1:31:16ultimately dependent on you and your1:31:19outcome, Father God. And to that, Lord,1:31:21there are brothers and sisters who are1:31:22still struggling till this day, even1:31:24after the episode, on what true1:31:26surrender is. I ask, Father God, that1:31:28you soften their hearts and allow this1:31:30seed, this precious word of yours, to1:31:32teach them what true surrender means.1:31:34Lord, you had Jesus Christ do the1:31:36ultimate surrender,1:31:38>> [clears throat]1:31:38>> and that was surrendering his life on1:31:39the cross for everyone else here.1:31:42Through our past, present, and future1:31:44sins, through that blood have been1:31:45washed away, Father God. And for that,1:31:47we're forever thankful, Lord. You've1:31:49made us righteous, you made us perfect,1:31:51but a lot of the times the enemy will1:31:52tell us that you're not perfect, you're1:31:54not righteous, that you're still being1:31:56sanctified, and you're you're in this1:31:58process. But Lord, you've already1:32:00sanctified us through the blood. You1:32:01said "Tetelestai", which is "It is1:32:03finished" on the cross, Father God. And1:32:05we're so thankful that you finished all1:32:06of that. And our surrender, too, Father1:32:08God, is finished because you allowed1:32:10Jesus Christ to surrender for us. And1:32:12you allowed him to break us down, build1:32:14us up, and lead our lives ultimately.1:32:17Thank you, Father God. We leave1:32:18everything in your hands, Lord, and in1:32:20Jesus name we pray. Amen.1:32:22>> Amen. Like, comment, subscribe, leave a1:32:24comment. Oh, did you guys see everyone's1:32:26favorite Bible verses?1:32:27>> Yes.1:32:27>> I said today, yes.1:32:28>> That means they got to the end.1:32:30>> Yes. So many comments. Everybody I was1:32:32like, "Wow, people really come to the1:32:33end of this."1:32:33>> left the color and the Bible verse cuz1:32:36we like switched it up.1:32:37>> Okay, I got one. Since we're at the end,1:32:39let's see.1:32:42What is your favorite1:32:45feature on the app?1:32:46>> Ooh.1:32:47>> Comment what's your favorite feature on1:32:49the app.1:32:50>> Or just genuinely comment if you haven't1:32:52tried it yet. I'm just curious for data.1:32:53Just comment1:32:54>> I haven't tried it yet.1:32:55>> you haven't tried it, just be like, "I1:32:56haven't tried it." I1:33:09Shout out. Shout out. Shout out.1:33:11>> no one like our community. Let me just1:33:13be real. Since you guys are here and1:33:14you're at the end of the What is it? End1:33:16of the episode gang?1:33:17I really do appreciate you guys from the1:33:19bottom of my heart. You guys don't know1:33:20how much that helps us. And you guys are1:33:22crazy just like me. So, clearly it's1:33:25it's amazing that you guys are able to1:33:27not only help us with the views, but1:33:29you're locked in that much. Really,1:33:31really do from the bottom of my heart1:33:33appreciate every single one of you guys,1:33:34too. It really, again, not only helps1:33:37us, but it shows how much heart posture1:33:38you guys have in terms of surrender,1:33:40right? To be able to go, "I'm going to1:33:42surrender my time, time away from my1:33:44job, time away from, you know, scrolling1:33:46and doing all that, to then really lock1:33:48in and hear this precious word." That1:33:50means so much to me as a as a pastor,1:33:53and that's what also keeps me going.1:33:54Like, for real, at the end of the day.1:33:56>> Wow. I think also that what we don't we1:33:59what we underestimate is yeah, there can1:34:01be difficult people that you have to1:34:03deal with at times, but there's such a1:34:05silent majority that is truly like grown1:34:08from this and they're very appreciative1:34:10of you that just don't comment. They1:34:11just listen to whatever. I know that's1:34:12out there cuz yeah, so1:34:14>> Good good good good catch. So true.1:34:17Amen. Appreciate you guys the silent1:34:19supporters, the people who support1:34:20spiritually who never say anything, the1:34:23people who just always edify us and the1:34:25people who pray for us. There's so many1:34:26people who pray that don't tell me that1:34:28they pray for me, you know, and they do1:34:30it the right way. They go in front of1:34:31God for us and intercede for us too. For1:34:34that, honestly, we're so so grateful, so1:34:36thankful. Thank you guys for real.1:34:38>> But it is nice if you leave a like1:34:39comment and you subscribe. So if you're1:34:41being silent, start being not silent.1:34:44>> [laughter]1:34:44>> As long as it's positive and it's about1:34:46my improved jawline.1:34:47>> All right, guys. See you later. Peace.
