This is where a0:17lot of people close their hearts to0:18Jesus, including Judas. Was when they0:21saw him and they thought, "Okay, this0:23guy's my night and shining armor. He's0:26going to get rid of this hierarchy,0:29tyrannical piece of garbage, Rome, which0:31symbolizes Satan. Do you understand?0:34Nero, right? Um, and all these people.0:38But Jesus Christ didn't overthrow Rome.0:41What did he come to do? Save them from0:43their sins, right? So, what they were0:46looking for was0:48save me from my situation. And when he0:51didn't, they were like, "F this guy."0:54basically, right? So, it's kind of like0:57when you need surgery, but they're0:59asking for painkillers. Do you guys1:01understand what I'm saying? Like they1:03needed surgery, surgery of the heart,1:05but they're like, "No, I don't want1:06that. I want painkillers." Now, give me1:07my pain. Oh, you're not giving me1:08painkillers. All right, forget you then.1:10It was like this type of heart. So, even1:13when these people are like, "Hosana."1:15They sing that song, right? Hosana. It1:17says millions of views, but they don't1:20actually know what that actually means.1:21Hosana means to save us immediately,1:24right? And it's kind of weird. They call1:27him the son of David, right? He's God's1:30son and they call him the son of David,1:32right? Why? Because he is. He's coming1:36from the Davidic bloodline. Now, they1:39see him as like a messiah, as the1:42promised king. But look at how surface1:46level they are. You're the Messiah that1:48comes to save me from Rome. You're1:50you're my king. Rome isn't. Do you1:52understand now? How it is transactional,1:54but it's deeper than that. It's more of1:57like we see that you're the king, but2:01they didn't know that this was the king2:02that wasn't going to just overthrow and2:04give everybody what they want. This was2:06the king that came to die for them. Now,2:08imagine that, right? A king comes and2:12they want him to rule and he does rule,2:15but not not in the way that they think.2:18It's kind of crazy, right? Understand?2:21So what they had their vision of Jesus2:25and when Jesus came did it match?2:28Absolutely not. And that's why people2:31turned away from him. Why do we turn2:33away from Jesus? Why? Because we expect2:37him to do things for us. I I'm saved2:39now. I should be feeling better. I2:41should have peace. I should overcome2:42this, this, and this. Why am I not? And2:45then what do we do? Turn away. Fall2:47away. Drift away. Do you guys understand2:50what I'm saying? This is not just their2:51heart. This is our hearts. Do you guys2:53know what palm branches represent in the2:55Bible? It represents victory, triumph,2:59overcoming, victory, right? Conquering.3:03They were treating him like what what3:05what you only throw palm branches down3:08for people who were like veterans or war3:09heroes.3:11So what did they see Jesus as a war3:14hero? But when he came and he's like, I3:17heal everybody. I love everyone. Did it3:20match their militant mindset? No, it did3:23not. Do you understand what I'm saying?3:25And because it didn't match their3:27mindset, what did they think of him?3:28You're soft, dude. And what did he enter3:31on? He entered a military person at that3:35time should have entered on like a3:36horse. He enters on a donkey. You know,3:41Jesus is so meticulous in this. He does3:43everything3:45opposite of what these people think.3:48Why? Because of Isaiah 55:8. My way is3:52not your way and my thoughts are not3:54your thoughts. He's proving it in real3:56time. Right? People have a way when they3:59think about Jesus, too. Oh, Jesus, you4:02you're going to do it my way. I prayed4:04to you. I fasted you. I tithed for you.4:07I heard Johnny Chang. I said that I'm4:08righteous and perfected. Now, where the4:10hell is the peace? Where are you4:12conquering my things? Where are you4:13conquering my stuff now? Okay, you gave4:16me the unlocks. How do I apply it? Do4:18you understand? What about my kids? My4:21kids aren't listening. Why aren't they4:22listening? You understand? Right. So,4:26what it comes down to is that is all of4:29our hearts, right? So, what did they4:31expect? The lion of Judah. But what came4:34the lamb of God. Lion and lamb. You see4:37the difference? A lion roars. It's4:40powerful. They're like, "Yeah, we we4:42like that guy." But when he came, he's4:44like, "No, I'm going to sacrifice4:45myself." Wait, what? So, you're going4:46to, let me get this straight. You're4:48going to give your hands into these4:50freaking rule evil people? Are you4:53kidding me right now? That's not what I4:55signed up for, bro. Hurry up and call4:57down, you know, Archangel Michael and4:59smoke these people. What are you doing?5:02Why are you letting this happen? Like,5:03they were doing this to him, aka judging5:06him. Sound familiar? That's all of us.5:10Amen. Right. The same crowd, did you5:14know that said hosana, hosana, is the5:17same crowd that said crucify him later.5:21Isn't that wild? The same crowd that5:24says, "Hosana, hosana, you're here for5:26us," is actually the same people that5:30crucify him.5:32In Core of the Heart, too, the people5:34that go against us most aren't randos.5:37It's the people who were here before.5:40Yeah, Johnny was good, but he wasn't5:42what I expected him to be. And because5:44of that, I don't f with him no more. All5:47he talks about is this. He shut me down5:49for having dreams and visions. He shut5:51me down for having a high heart. Yet,5:52like, he doesn't have a high heart. You5:54know what? He Yeah, he does preach a5:56precious gospel, but bro got arrogant5:58and now the fame got to his head and6:00he's a dictator now. Do you understand?6:03This is the same heart that everybody6:05[clears throat] has. Why was it because6:08Jesus was stupid? Was it because Jesus6:11messed up? H No, he didn't meet their6:15expectations. You guys, too. I'm still 26:18years in, still struggling with this,6:20still struggling with that. Understand6:22what I'm saying, right? Because you're6:26trying to make Jesus fit your6:28expectation. How how foolish is that? We6:31want God, yes, but on our terms. So we6:36don't want God. We don't accept God for6:38who he is. Now look at the crazy6:40parallel. We want a lion. He comes as a6:43lamb, right? We want God, but on our6:47terms. But you know, if you reverse the6:49thing, God goes, I'll take you under any6:52condition. We're like, we want you under6:54this condition, but I'll take you under6:57any condition. Look at the the the flip6:59of how God works. It's so different.7:03Understand? When we say save me, hosana,7:06it means fix my situation. Make my life7:09better. Do what I want. But what does7:11Jesus say? I'm not just going to fix7:12you. I'm I'm not fixing your life. I'm7:14saving your soul. Do you understand what7:16I'm saying? I'm not fixing your life.7:18I'm saving your soul. Right? When you7:20look at Zechariah 9:9, you know, the7:23thing about these people is that they7:25act like they're studying, but they're7:27not studied. It's so weird how people7:30who are are of God, who think they know7:32God, don't even know anything. If they7:34read Zechariah and they truly read7:37Zechariah,7:38which is a prophecy, read it carefully.7:41Rejoice greatly, oh daughter of Zion.7:43Shout out, oh daughter of Zion. Behold,7:44thy king cometh upon thee. He comes. He7:46is just and having salvation. Lowly,7:49riding upon an ass, and upon a colt, the7:52foil of an ass. He rides on a donkey.7:55He's here. And he comes as what? Lowly.7:59Not high but low. Right. So they claim8:03to study the scripture. They they're8:05scribes, Sodies, and Pharisees. They8:07have studied the scripture. But what did8:09they miss completely? Jesus Christ. God8:12warns them. He's going to come, but he's8:14not going to come the way you want him.8:17I'm I'm telling you, not the way you8:19expect it. Right? Save us now. I already8:23did. And till this day, what are they8:26still saying? Save us now. I I sinned,8:29God. Save me now. I messed up. Get me8:32out of my depression. He's like, I did.8:35I've been. Why don't you believe me?8:38Understand what I'm saying? They want8:40kings to change their world. They don't8:41want kings and they want kings to change8:43their world. They want the kings to8:44change their situations and their8:45circumstances. They don't want a king to8:47change their heart, though. He came to8:49change hearts, not just situations. When8:52hearts change sit it don't matter the8:53situation. That's the the really8:55beautiful thing about God. When God8:58changes your heart, you handle every9:00situation.9:01Instead of giving us one situation that9:04he fixes, he fixes all situations at the9:06root, which is the heart. So again, this9:08is our heart posture. Do you guys9:11understand what I'm saying? Right? How9:14many times do we praise God when things9:15look good and then question him when9:18they don't? Right? So the so the so Palm9:21Sunday is a reflection for me at least9:23when I'm reading the Bible is do you9:25want Jesus as a savior or do you want9:27him as a solution? Different ess9:38I'm struggling now fix it. Right? But9:41what does Jesus do? He goes I am your9:42solution and I'm your savior and the s9:45the solution to your problem is me9:47saving you. But we what do we care9:50about? Edification, justification.9:54Understand what I'm saying? That's what9:55we feel. Amen. Right? So, when you9:58recognize those types of things, you10:01start to understand why God did these10:02little things and why he explains Palm10:04Sunday and why he uses things like a10:07donkey. Prophetically speaking, why does10:09he use a donkey?10:12Because10:14when you think of a donkey, a donkey10:17doesn't have any power. It doesn't look10:19like like it dominates things. When you10:21guys look at like Chingis, like10:22Genghaskhan, Genghaskhan did not use10:25donkeys to to rule people. He used10:27horses. Horses are like war horses10:30specifically. They can ride for for like10:33days. So when Genghaskhan shows up at10:36your door, let's say, with with horses,10:39do you know what that represents? War,10:42right? War, right? But do you know what10:45a donkey represents? Humility, peace,10:49servitude. What is Jesus coming to bring10:52when he's on the donkey? Peace. He10:55doesn't want war with us. What do these10:57people want? Or do you understand what11:01I'm saying? Right? They were expecting11:03bro to roll up in a tank. He rolled up11:05in a a Tesla [snorts] basically and was11:09like, "Guys, this is so much more11:11efficient than blowing down buildings.11:13You can save gas, too." They're like,11:14"Nah, we're good. We want to level11:16everything. We don't want humility. We11:19want to conquer cuz we're control. We're11:21we're in control." Right? Not only that,11:24in Zechariah 9:9, he rides in on a cult.11:26Do you guys know what a cult is? It's a11:28younger donkey. Right? Now why is that11:31very very intricate that detail? Because11:35old donkeys probably have been you know11:38ridden by a lot of people. A young11:39donkey has never been used. Understand?11:43It means you guys only know war but I11:46bring peace and you can't even11:50understand that. You can't you've never11:52seen this before is what he's saying.11:54Right? A lot of us are this way. Right?11:59Amen. So they saw, oh, this king12:03entering Jerusalem,12:05right? But they missed everything he was12:08coming into Jerusalem for. Yes, he's12:11coming to what? Help me. Yes, he's the12:14celebrated Hosana, right? He's the one12:17who's going to come and conquer Rome.12:19And he's like, I'm not into politics and12:23I'm not into national freedom. What I'm12:25into is conquering sin. I'm not here to12:26conquer Rome. I'm here to conquer sin.12:29Do you understand? Right? So, what's so12:33amazing is that we tend to12:38focus on God doing things the way we12:41want him to do. Okay, God. I need you to12:44do X, Y, and Z. But he goes, "Nope, I'm12:47not going to do that. I have to do it my12:48way because my way is the best way." If12:52he came on a horse, that means he would12:53declare war and judgment. And we are12:56just like Rome. Rome Rome were Gentiles.12:59So we went against too without even13:01realizing it. He did that for us and13:03they didn't even know that and they13:04still crucified him. You know many times13:07I fight for you guys but you guys think13:09I'm mean. Do you understand what I'm13:11saying? It's the same heart posture,13:13right? It's the same heart posture.13:16Understand what I'm saying? People think13:18like, man, why is he saying this to me?13:21Why is he? Because it's just how it is13:25right now. When God uses donkeys in the13:29Bible, it's always for humility. Every13:32single time you've seen a donkey, it's13:35always carrying something sacrificial.13:37Think Abraham and Isaac. When Abraham13:40rose, he saddled his ass, it says,13:42right? He put the stuff on the the the13:45when he was about to sacrifice Isaac on13:48Mount Mariah. What was carrying who was13:50carrying the load? What was carrying the13:51load? The donkey. The donkey carried the13:53wood. carried them on the journey,13:55right? Carried them basically, right? So13:59when you look at Jesus, Jesus rides on14:03the donkey, right? Jesus is the donkey14:07actually. He carries them to what? To14:10the gospel, but they don't want the14:12donkey. What do they want? The horse,14:15right? So it's so it's so intricate14:18these little details. Understand? Right?14:22But we just want more unlocks.14:24Amen. The the thing here is not the14:26unlocks, it's the heart. Make sense?14:29Right. The one thing I think that's14:31that's really um frustrating in front of14:34God that I can sense is when we sit here14:37and we get, you know, kind of humbled in14:40front of God and there's still no14:41humility in front of God. Like you have14:44to get humble, right? Like if someone14:45gets shot, they have to go to the14:47hospital. But imagine they get shot and14:49they go, "Oh, that tickles." Like that's14:52the most frustrating thing. It's like14:54you do realize you're going to die,14:56right? It's like, "No, I'm good.14:58Anyways, what's the next unlock?" That15:01that shows to us like what a true wicked15:05heart is. Do you guys understand what15:06I'm saying? Right,15:08>> guys? It's fun.16:36>> And if you download the app, all the16:37information will be on there, too. in16:39front of God, we have to realize, oh my16:42goodness, I'm these people. I am16:44literally always wanting God to give me16:48a husband, give me a wife, give me this,16:50give me that. What What's wrong with16:51that? And what the hell is wrong with16:53knowing more about God? What the hell is16:55wrong with wanting to know more16:57intricate details? What's the problem?16:59Aren't you here to help me with that?17:01That's that's the same person that's17:04going to leave later and crucify Jesus17:06in their hearts. Do you guys understand17:08what I'm saying, brothers and sisters?17:10That's the problem with people, right?17:13And the dumb thing about it is that we17:15don't sense it. We've all been through17:17this, right? It's really, really17:19arrogant. Like, it's one thing to go,17:22"Oh my gosh, I didn't know. Mind unlock.17:25Thank you." It's another thing to go,17:27"Cool. What else?" Like, do do you guys17:30understand what I'm saying? God calls17:33sin in the Bible leprosy. Why? Because17:38leprosy numbs all of your nerve endings.17:41It's a It It numbs you. You don't sense17:44it. It's like numbing cream, right? It17:46just numbs you up and you're like, "Oh,17:48that doesn't even hurt." You're getting17:50like messed up, but you don't sense it.17:54Do you guys understand? People can a17:57finger can fall off and they feel no17:59pain cuz all the nerves die. In the same18:02way, what is sin? Being numb to God. Do18:05you do you guys understand that Jesus18:07left no stone unturned? What that means18:10is he came and he preached the gospel, a18:12perfect gospel. Not only that, I would18:15argue that he actually sat there and18:18performed miracles for the gospel to18:20show them, hey, just I am him. I'm him,18:25right? I'm that dude. Just so you know.18:28And these people who were saying hosana18:30hosana stood in front of him and said18:35that's not God. That's Bazobub by the18:37way that's Satan. Yeah that's great that18:40you're teaching us but teach us more.18:43Even the apostles and disciples did18:45this. He literally sat there and said18:47the bread that I give this guy is going18:51to betray me. And they're like who? Like18:54a bunch of owls. Who? Who? Who? Who?18:57Bro, I literally said, "Here's the bread19:00and I give it to this guy, Uda, right,19:02Judas." And they're like, "Who? Who?19:05Who?" Like, they don't understand. These19:08are disciples, by the way. Do you19:10understand? When I think about God, I19:12think about how frustrated he is with19:14this heart posture, too. Like, damn,19:16these people legit don't listen. Right?19:19A lot of times, I think about that, too.19:21Like, Lord, please give me the heart to19:23listen. You know what I pray the most is19:26is for God to not protect me but to have19:30me hear him correctly, have me listen to19:33him. Like that's the number one thing.19:36While most people, you know, pray for19:38fix this, fix that, give me this. What I19:40usually pray for is, hey Lord, I please19:44don't let me like not understand you. So19:47my biggest pet peeve, I was on the19:48Funula podcast, right? Angela Angeline19:50Johnson and the one thing like she she19:53she said what are like the matitudes and19:55what are the gratitudes right in your19:57life there's gratitudes and what are19:58things that make you mad and the one20:00thing I spoke was when people don't20:02listen and she's like m that's deep I20:06was like because it's really difficult20:08when you how do you talk to somebody who20:10doesn't listen do you guys understand20:12what I'm saying these people came up to20:14us and they wanted to give us a deal and20:16they said next by next year Johnny we20:18can make you $60 million we will make20:19Johnny Chang a household name. We work20:21with T-Mobile, blah blah. And I'm just20:23like, bro, I don't care about that20:25respectfully. And all what I've learned20:28to do was stay quiet in that meeting20:30that was like an hour long. I said two20:33sentences, right? If you're if you're20:36sitting there and you're like, I'm going20:38to make you the I'm going to do like and20:40you're not even trying to get to know20:41who I am as a human being, what makes20:44you think you're going to ride out for20:45me when you don't even know me like20:46that? Do you understand what I'm saying?20:49What makes you think that I'm going to20:51sit here and go and what over 60 mil?20:53And I don't believe I don't believe I20:56don't distrust that they won't make me20:57money like that. I think they will. I21:00think they will genuinely. But I don't21:03want that type of money if it's going to21:04be like that. Because in Amos 3:3 is21:08very simple. It says, "How can two walk21:11together if they be agreed?" Meaning21:13their heart is aligned. Your heart is21:15not even aligned with mine. You don't21:17give a f about my mission. You don't21:19care about the gospel. The first thing21:21you lead with is money. How you going to21:24tell me you care about those things?21:26Like, how you going to tell me about21:28that? The first thing is you don't even21:29know me. You want to give me equity in21:31your company so then you can vest me and21:33squeeze me out later. How you you don't21:35you don't even know me like that. If you21:37knew me, you would never start with21:38that. You would never start with money.21:41Do you guys understand what I'm saying?21:43You start with the gospel. But this is21:46what happens to people who don't know21:47how to listen. Do you understand what21:49I'm saying? What they think is, "Oh, I21:52know what Johnny wants. [snorts]21:54He's he's big on social media. He's got21:57the nice little flashy diamond chains."21:59Yep. What he cares about is money. I'm22:01going to attack it from that angle. Cuz22:03bro's been very media trained. Been in22:05rooms. You could tell. Been in rooms22:07with people with big money. been in22:09rooms with, you know, big models and and22:11celebrities and Brad Pitts of the world22:13and, you know, and I don't care about22:15that respectfully, right? I don't care22:17about that. The one thing I'm very22:19thankful about that God has given me,22:22right? Is this discernment to be able to22:26listen to what people have to say, you22:28guys understand what I'm saying, right?22:30I'll I'll sit there and I'll just hear22:32out what somebody has to say. I think22:35most of us in here, if I'm being honest22:38with you, have to learn have to work on22:40that skill, receptive skills, right?22:44It's it's very hard for people because22:49when you when you talk more than22:50anything, it's because you think you22:53know things. Like that's one thing you22:56have to accept about yourself, right?22:58That acknowledgement of the reason why I23:00can't hear people and I only express23:02express express is because I legit think23:04I know what's up. Even if your heart is23:07like, "No, that's not true." You have to23:08acknowledge that. Yeah, it is. Because23:10how come I never let people talk? How23:13come I'm never willing to hear somebody?23:15How come I'm always trying to finish23:16somebody's sentence before they even say23:18anything? How come I'm trying to always23:21figure out interpret what they're23:22actually saying right now? How come I23:25Oh, I know. and I try to finish their23:26sentences for them. Do you understand23:29what I'm saying? You have to realize23:31that about yourself. So these people,23:34what did they do wrong? They should have23:37shut up. That's the number one thing23:39they should have done. They shouldn't23:41have been hosana, hosana. They should23:43have been like, who is bro? What is he23:46talking about? And if he is the king,23:49let me listen to him. Do you guys23:51understand what I'm saying? He23:52definitely got some kind of game, some23:55kind of like stuff he could he could he23:57could go deep on with me. Do you23:59understand? Right. When I meet people on24:02the streets, the number one thing they24:04do is they just come to me and they pour24:07everything out. Do you understand what24:09I'm saying? Right. It's like, "Yeah,24:12bro. I was just like you, homie. I was24:14from the hood, from the bario, and I did24:16this, homie. And I did 17 years, too,24:18homie. And you know what?" And and they24:19just do this. And I'm like, "Nice to24:22meet you. My name is Johnny." "Oh, all24:24right. Mucho." Anyway, so you know what?24:26Like my kid, bro, he's been on the24:27streets on me. What do you have any24:28words for me? Like, they start doing24:30this and I'm just like, respectfully,24:33I'm not I'm not a genie. Do you guys24:36understand what I'm saying? Right? So,24:39why why do they do that? Cuz they're24:42enamored, of course. Cuz they think that24:44I can help them, which isn't a bad24:47thing, guys. Listen to me carefully.24:48It's not a bad thing. But with that24:51heart, do you think that they can listen24:54to me? No. Because what their their mind24:58is already made up on you're going to25:00help me the way I want to. And I never25:04give like when I give, you know, depth25:07to people, it sounds too simple for25:09them. Do you guys understand what I'm25:11saying? It's too simple. So some guy25:14came up to me said, "My my son is in the25:16streets. He's 15 years old. you know,25:18he's he's done fentinol already. He's25:20he's done he vapes. He does all these25:22things, Johnny. Like, I don't know what25:23to do, man. What do I do about it? And25:26it's a very simple thing, right? The one25:29thing I asked him was, you know, do you25:33did you try to raise him the best that25:34you can? Of course. And he still ended25:37up this way. Yeah, I know. I don't know25:40why, man. I freaking gave him everything25:41he wanted. Well, that's probably why he25:43ended up that way. What do you mean?25:45Well, when you give a kid everything and25:47he has no breaking system, then you take25:50something away from him, he's going to25:51assume that you don't love him anymore.25:54And if you take that away from him25:57because all you've taught him was25:58transactional heart. Oh, no. I didn't26:00teach him transactional. Okay. So,26:02either you're going to tell me what what26:04it is or you going to listen like that's26:05just what it is. No, but I didn't teach26:07him that though. You did respectfully.26:10Hey, man. And I was just coming here to26:12ask you, you know, like, well, any Bible26:13verses that you will help like help out26:15with. No, I I know. I'm I'm getting to26:16that. We talked for literally 3026:19seconds. Oh, all right. Like, do do you26:22understand? Like, I have to literally26:23check people because they don't26:25understand what I'm saying. What they26:27want to hear is, "Yeah, brother, God is26:29going to work in your son's life. He's26:31going to take him away. He's going to26:33make him a strong person. He will I bet26:35you if I did that, bro, would be crying26:36in front of me. Yes, I receive that.26:39Yes, but that's not going to help him26:41though. Do you guys understand what I'm26:43saying? That's not going to help him at26:45the core. Understand? Right. So, it's26:48weird how like when I want to help you26:50guys at the core, too. You don't want it26:53like that, though. You want it as like,26:55nah, I want the nice Johnny. I want the26:57podcast Johnny. I want the one who's26:59like, "Yes, I understand. It's okay. God27:03will work. It's okay if you keep27:05sinning." And then when I don't do that,27:07it becomes very frustrating. Right.27:10Understand? Right. So in in a lot of27:13ways, you know, there has to be a a a27:18understanding of why we're not able to27:20hear things out. I know for me, I27:23couldn't hear things out before because27:25I genuinely thought that I was right. So27:28the the the easy fix to that is thinking27:31about the these things like Palm Sunday,27:34like Matthew 21, thinking about what27:38what was it that these guys messed up on27:40that we can learn from? Do do you guys27:43understand what I'm saying? Right? Like27:46it's it's it's weird how he records27:50these things in the Bible so we can27:52learn from their mistakes. He recorded27:55the prodigal son so we can learn from27:58his mistake. He recorded these people28:00saying hosana hosana one minute and then28:02crucify him crucify him the next. Right?28:05So we can see what was the28:07patternistically mechanistically where28:09did these guys mess up. Right? Where did28:11they mess up? The number one thing they28:14did was expectations and not listening.28:18Sound familiar?28:20Right? Sound familiar? That must that28:22better sound super familiar. Understand?28:26I expect this. You didn't live up to28:28this. So therefore, you're a piece of28:30garbage. Point blank. Period. I did28:33this. I wanted that. And you didn't do28:34that for me. So forget you then, God.28:37And forget you, too, Johnny Chang, who28:39represents God, too. And forget all the28:41pastors who represent God. Cuz y'all28:43didn't do what I wanted cuz I thought28:45that's what it was. And prove me wrong28:48on top of that, right? Prove me wrong is28:50crazy. But that's how people are. Amen.28:55That's how every single one of us to28:57some degree is at the core of our28:59hearts. But what is the again, what is29:02the radi like how do we eradicate this?29:05How do we solve this? How do we fix29:07this? How do we break this? Is to just29:09to recognize what the Bible says about29:11you. I know the frame of you. He says in29:13Psalm, you are dirt. Meaning you're29:17nothing. You just sit there until you29:20receive the seed. You know, dirt just29:22sits there. It doesn't do anything. Have29:24you noticed that? That's why I really29:25think God is so meticulous and29:27everything. Like dirt can sit there for29:29centuries and it won't do anything by29:31itself. But once you drop a seed inside29:34of it and then once it receives water,29:37the thing about dirt is that it just29:39receives. It receives water, it receives29:42sunlight, it receives seed. Understand29:44what I'm saying, right? But the thing29:47about dirt is that it can also harden29:49and turn into clay. It can harden and29:53turn into mud. Do you understand what29:55I'm saying? Right. Right. So that's the29:59that's the choice that dirt can be is it30:03can choose to go whatever. I'm going to30:05be concrete today and brick today and30:08clay today or I'm going to be soil. Do30:13you guys understand what I'm saying?30:15Right? So in this way we are dirt. What30:19does that mean? Then we have to believe30:22oh I can sit here right. I can sit here30:26[clears throat] and choose. Amen.30:30Whether or not I accept the word of God30:32or reject the word of God. Right? The30:35verse is Psalm 103:14.30:37Right? We we we tend to sit there and we30:41tend to kind of choose to harden. But30:44what I want you guys to understand is30:46this. When you think about these people30:49who went against God, did it hurt Jesus30:52or did it hurt themselves more? Which30:54one? Of course, it hurt them. They ended30:58up burning just so you know. In the same31:02way, why does God record this in the31:05Bible too? H why? Mhm. Because what he's31:10saying is, hey, I'm just warning you, if31:13you sit here and you trust yourself and31:16you follow your thoughts, you're not31:17hurting anybody but yourself. Now, how31:20dumb is that? Respectfully, right? How31:23stupid is that? Do you understand what31:26I'm saying? I thought it's kind of31:28weird, right? It's weird how like we're31:31all about ourselves, but we also hurt31:33ourselves the most. Isn't that like31:37wild? Right. Right. Like I'm all about31:41me, but I'll choose everything that31:43hurts me. It's like, wait, what? That31:45doesn't even make sense. Right. I'm31:48super selfish, but everything that I do31:51hurts me, though. Right, guys. It's It's31:54so weird. It was It like Right. It was31:58really really weird.32:00>> The Streamathon is live. See you there, buddies.32:40So, I was speaking to uh this one person32:44who Pastor Kim actually asked me to to32:47help with and he's a he's an older32:50gentleman and uh he was in the church32:53for a little bit, but he his wife passed32:56away and then he kind of just like, you33:00know, experienced a really big trauma33:02and was really fighting with Pastor Kim33:04a lot, saying, "Why did God take my33:06wife?" He was a he's a white guy. His33:08wife is Korean. they met, you know, like33:10he was in the military and he couldn't33:13really understand like why. Eventually,33:15he left the church and he's um he lives33:18in like a far area like Ontario. Ontario33:21is like maybe an hour, hour, 20 minutes33:23away from our church, right? So, it's33:25and he's old and elderly, so he's not33:26driving that far. Bro just left. So,33:29what pastor told me to do, he dispatched33:32me. He dispatched Pastor John. And so,33:34we would go there and this guy has the33:37mouth of a sailor. like he curses so33:40much. Every other word is a fbomb. Uh,33:43you know, a c word, a b word. It's just33:45like, dang, it's a lot, bro. You know,33:47it's a lot. And all he talks about is33:50politics, and all he talks about is God.33:53So, you know, I get to his house, right?33:56Show up, get to his house, and I see33:59just all this type of like like his34:01house looks. Have you guys ever seen34:03Hoarders? Like the the the I don't know34:05if it's on like TLC or whatever. It's34:07like hoarders where like it's just34:09stacked up stuff. Now, when I looked34:11closely at what he's hoarding, it's all34:14of his wife's stuff, the one who passed34:16away. So, that's really sad, right? So,34:19he developed a type of OCD, like a34:22hoarding OCD. You know, there's types of34:24like there's like contamination OCD.34:26There's like, you know, um symmetry OCD,34:30right? There's like obsessive OCD with34:33like, you know, where you ruminate all34:35the time. There's different types. He he34:37developed34:39an an a hoarding OCD. But he didn't34:42believe it, right? His whole house is34:44like filled. Every inch of the corner is34:46like with his wife's stuff, all of his34:49like in one in one corner is like his34:51wife's pictures. The other corner is34:52like his jewelry. It's like all this34:54stuff, right? And it's very miserable.34:57And it's starting to like develop a34:59stench like in the house. Like I'm sure35:01there's bacteria, whatever, right? So, I35:03get there and I'm just like, "Brother,35:06you know, how are you?" And he just35:09proceeds like, "Well, I don't know. You35:12know, I don't understand why this effing35:15God would effing take my wife and she35:18didn't do anything effing wrong." And35:21and he just like starts going, you know,35:24and I'm like, "I understand, but you35:28know, I think you have to crack open the35:30Bible." He's like, "I don't even have35:31words to read. I don't even have a heart35:33to read the effing Bible and freaking35:36false Bible and piece of ish Bible and35:39he's like going right I [snorts] said35:41can we crack open the Bible and he's35:44like sure yeah yeah I guess whatever I35:46was like I think there's some verses I35:47could help you so I fought with him35:50right fought for him I was like if you35:53look at 2 Corinthians 5:17 what does35:55this say brother and he's like reading35:57he's like get my glasses he gets his35:59glasses they're all like smudged up. He36:02like reads, you know, you know, we're36:05new creatures in Christ, right? And he's36:08like, "What the hell is that even36:09supposed to mean?" And like he's like36:11mean like that, right? And I'm like,36:14"Well, you know, what does the Bible36:16say?" And I keep having him read it,36:18right? He read it like five times and he36:20got angry. He's like, "Okay, we're a new36:22creature, but like what does that even36:24mean? Like I don't understand. What does36:26it mean? What does it mean?" And I'm36:27like, "Brother, it means that you're36:29new, [snorts] right? So even though the36:32the doctor, you know, said that you have36:35OCD or whatever it is, right? All this36:37stuff that they're saying about you,36:39that's not true. Like you have to not36:42believe that." And he's like, "Yeah, I I36:45understand, but like the doctor is36:47correct." Like it's weird. He only36:49trusts doctors cuz cuz and I'll explain36:52why. Because when the church said your36:54wife can be healed by your faith, the36:56doctor said, "Your wife is going to36:58die." And the do and the wife died. So37:00he's like, "I only trust doctors." Do37:02you guys understand what I'm saying? Cuz37:04what they said was true. And so he takes37:06it as like literal psychiatrist stuff37:08like that, right? His son is really37:10really rich and like takes him to these37:12little like psychologists and37:14pathologists and they like look at him37:16and all this stuff, right? So, he has37:18this humongous house filled with just37:21like junk, right? Straight up. And he's37:26starting to believe everything the37:27doctor says to him, right? And when I37:31think about it, I'm like, I don't know37:33if he's like mentally there yet, but I37:37just understood one thing. The Bible and37:40the word will always overcome37:41everything. Mental, physical, emotional,37:44especially spiritual. This is a37:46spiritual thing. So, it's not like I'm37:50going against what the doctor says. I37:52sure he can be, you know, OCD and and,37:55you know, hoarding type OCD, but at the37:58end of the day, um, I was able to, you38:02know, kind of like, you know, tell him38:06that you're a new creature. And did it38:08work out? No, it didn't work out. He sat38:11there and he became very angry almost38:14violent because just by moving his38:18certain things he was like it was very38:21hard for him to dis like discard these38:23things. That's what that's why they38:25diagnosed him with it because he's now38:27having an attachment to these things and38:30he literally wants to like lose his mind38:32type stuff. But I asked him and this is38:35what broke him. I said, "As much as you38:38feel that the doctor is right, how are38:41you living your life now? When your wife38:44was with you, you were happy. You38:46listened to the church and you38:48distrusted your thoughts. Now that38:50you've went the opposite way and trust38:52all of your thoughts and whatever,38:54whoever says anything that matches your38:56thoughts, how are you?" And he breaks38:57down crying. It's so awkward to hear an39:01old person crying cuz it's the type of39:04cry that they haven't released for39:06years. Do you guys understand what I'm39:08saying? So, it felt very painful. Like I39:10could feel the pain out of his soul.39:13Right. Right. But that's what was needed39:16for him to break actually was he thought39:19about it for one second. Just one39:21second. He looked, it was almost like a39:24light bulb went on and he looked around39:26and was like, "You're absolutely right.39:29I followed my thoughts and I'm effing39:32miserable."39:34The one thing about this brother was39:35that he always acts like really nice.39:38He's very peak, right? As these young39:40kids say, peak meaning like very he was39:43very like he speaks very well, right?39:47But he's also very nasty when he39:50actually gets frustrated. Do you guys39:52know what I'm talking about? It's like39:55It's like Yeah. It's like a sense of39:56eloquence, but it's not eloquence. It's39:59more of like passionate, I would say.40:02Cuz when he goes and he starts talking40:04about things, I can see how beautiful40:06his heart is, right? Like he was40:08explaining,40:10you know, Genesis and he goes, I really40:14love the poetic flow of Genesis. And he40:16talks like this, the flow of Genesis.40:19And it's so beautiful. And you know, I40:23wish before the fall that man could have40:28just stayed listening to God because40:31everything starts with listening to God.40:34And he's like, you know, it's it's very40:36like it's almost like he he if his40:39words, he treats his words like a $100.40:42He he ain't just going to waste that. He40:44doesn't really waste his words. He went40:46from that to e f and the eff and f40:49everything was effing. Do you understand40:51what I'm saying? So he's compromised in40:53a way right and what I recognized about40:57him was when he trusted his thoughts41:02everything in him shifted as a human41:04being. He was more dirtier. Remember41:06he's a militant man. Now military men41:09are very militant. They're very41:12disciplined. Their houses are not nasty41:15and dirty. It's all organized. Do you41:18understand? But his house was just it41:20was like he was a completely different41:22person, right? And so when he saw that,41:27you know, he was like, "Johnny, this41:30word makes sense and what you're saying41:31is true, but it's so hard for me because41:35I feel like these are still her things."41:38And I still feel like she's there. She's41:41here. like if that makes sense, right?41:45And I was like, "But that's that's not41:47true though. The word of God says it's41:50true. It says that she's already in41:52heaven with him, you know." And he's41:55like, "Am I being selfish then for41:58wanting to be here? You know, I I I I've42:01always been a little selfish and I can42:03understand that if if you say that." And42:05he's like trying to like be softer,42:06right? And so I leaned more into it.42:09Yes. Because God already took her. He he42:12wants her, but you're struggling, right?42:16And he's like, "Yeah." And I said,42:17"Think about your wife." You know, when42:20you think about yourself, then like,42:23yeah, you can be nasty like this, but42:26when you think about your wife, right,42:28which made him cry more was, let's say,42:31hypothetically, [clears throat]42:32obviously it can't happen, but she comes42:34home tomorrow, do you think she would be42:36proud of this? And he's like, "No." Oh,42:39and he starts crying. Right? So, in this42:43way, you know what I noticed about42:47people who have these types of illnesses42:50or what they are diagnosed with, whether42:52it's self diagnosed or what they feel or42:55whatever is that number one, it's42:58difficult for them to think about other43:00people. They only think about43:02themselves.43:03That's the number one reason why he was43:05like that. Had he had taken just one43:08little like one thing to sit there and43:11go, "What would my wife think of this?43:14If she was alive, what would she what43:16would she feel about this house being a43:18mess like this? What would she feel43:20like? Her seeing me stressed out would43:23probably stress her out. If she can, you43:26know, see me today, what would she think43:29about me?" If he could have thought this43:32way, I don't think he would have fallen43:33into that. Do you guys understand what43:35I'm saying? So I asked him that I said43:38if you think this way and then in a in43:42because he's very emotional in a stroke43:44of an instance his heart changed back to43:46what it was. See that's the that's the43:48fight that we we have to go through. So43:51it was going really good and then it43:54switched back. It it almost like as if43:57like the words just went in in one ear43:58and out the other. So it was pricking44:00him. It was changing him and then boom44:02he flipped the foundation. Do you know44:04what he says after? Right. He goes,44:08"Well, I don't give a f." Like, he just44:10pops off like that. I don't care. Cuz he44:13starts to feel bad. Do you guys44:14understand what I'm saying? I don't give44:16a f. You know, if she came home, she44:19would understand that I'm grieving. She44:22would understand. And then like he44:24starts to make it about himself again.44:26You guys understand what I'm saying,44:28right? He she would love me. And if she44:30doesn't if she gets mad that I'm like44:32this because I'm grieving, then that44:33means she doesn't love me. And and he44:36starts doing this, then she would be a44:38b- word. And I'm like, damn. In one44:40minute, you're missing her so much. The44:41next minute you're like, you're a b-44:42word if you don't acknowledge what I44:45say. Right? So in this, this is what44:48happens, right? But when I looked at44:50him, I was like, you're so miserable.44:54And all he talks about is God, right?44:58Like the other day, he has a dog. He's45:00like, "When I was walking, you know, I45:02still preach the gospel." And I'm like,45:05"Okay, what what how do you pre Well,45:07there was another guy, you know, he's45:09over there and you know, he's he's45:11asking about dogs and you know, he was45:14saying, "Do all dogs go to heaven?" And45:17I said, "Yeah, but you have to be45:19righteous and you have to be perfected45:21and you have to be holy." Like45:23technically, he thinks he's preaching45:24the gospel, right? And it seems like he45:26is. Right. Right. Understand, right?45:30Make sense? So, he sits there and he's45:33like, I'm still doing the gospel-45:35centered things. But when I look at his45:36life, he struggles every single day.45:39Understand what I'm saying? So, what45:42should I have said at that time? I45:45should have kept my mouth shut. But, you45:47know, little old Johnny, when the Holy45:49Spirit works, I can't just keep my mouth45:52shut.45:53So I said, "There's a difference between45:56admiring Jesus and God, right? And46:00there's a difference between actually46:01knowing God. Oh, I know God. I know God.46:04I I was, you know, I I was longer46:07Christian than you, Johnny. You know, I46:09respectfully I know you're a pastor and46:11all that, but you know, I I know what46:13the f I was doing. And I I was back then46:15when when you had to really follow God,46:18not this soft at s word b word, you46:21know, like Christianity nowadays, you46:25know, and I'm like, you know, and I kind46:28of just proceeded to tell him there's a46:30difference between knowing God and46:33admiring God. And he's like, why do you46:35keep saying that, right? And I said,46:37because what I'm trying to say is46:40there's a lot of people who accessorize46:43God. Are you trying to say that I'm46:45accessorizing God right now? Right. Yes,46:49I am. [clears throat] Well, let me let46:50let me tell you something. How is me46:54taking my dog and someone coming to me46:56preaching the gospel to him,46:58accessorizing him? I'm talking about47:00him. What the f are you talking about?47:02That's what he said to me. You know, I47:04was like, "Yeah, I understand. I mean,47:06it makes sense on your side. Would you47:07want to hear me out or do you just want47:09to tell me what you want to feel and47:10what you think?" Go ahead. So he said,47:13I'm like, "Okay, so what do we call47:17Jesus? Our Lord and Savior." He's like,47:19"Lord and Savior." Yeah, he is my Lord47:21and Savior. That's why I was telling the47:22other guy. So he's talking to me, right?47:25What does Lord mean? Lord means, you47:28know, creator. It means master. It means47:30it means provider. It mean what what47:32what do what is what what do you mean47:34now? What? Of course I know what he47:35starts doing this. You're right. So he's47:38your master. Yes.47:41Do you think your master would want you47:44to live like this? Just just asking you.47:47And he kind of like gets shocked, right?47:50Do you think God created you to have47:53this type of OCD and hoard these things47:57and not let go of your wife into his47:59hands because he's the better master? Do48:02you think that's what you what he would48:04want? Man, f you. He blew up on me. F48:08you. Oh, okay. I'm just saying though,48:11it's just a question. F you. You get out48:13of my house right now. Okay. F you.48:16Okay. But I'm just saying, do you think48:19he would want that? F you. And I'm like,48:21okay. Right. Okay. You can say, f me to48:25me, but what you really have to think48:28about is, yeah, I don't want you to48:31talk. I don't want to hear you anymore.48:33I don't want to hear you anymore. I48:34don't want it. He's like blowing up, you48:35know? And at that moment, I just stopped48:37talking, right? And I said, "Regardless48:41of what it is, brother, I hope you can48:43understand one thing. Get out. Get out.48:45Get out. Get out." And I still was48:46talking. Your wife wouldn't want you to48:48live like this. She wouldn't want you to48:50think about, you know, these types of48:53things. She would want you to let let48:55these things go. She wants you to be48:57happy. And he's like crying as he's like49:00yelling at me. Right? [snorts] Do you49:02understand what I'm saying? Right? When49:05I thought about it in this way, as much49:07as you guys trust yourselves, do you49:10want to be unhappy like that? Then49:13continue to trust yourself. Right?49:15There's no smut on me. I wasn't even49:16frustrated with it to be honest. It was49:19more of like, man, you've been in church49:22for years, right? And you still trust49:26your thoughts. And if you trust yourself49:28that much, it makes sense if it's49:31producing something good for you, right?49:34understand what I'm saying?49:35>> So, if you guys want to go deeper with49:37the Bible unlocks and just having these49:39biblical resources, guys, we created an49:41app called Core of the Heart Daily.49:42Every single morning, I write a personal49:44daily devotional. It's on the app50:11store called Core of the Heart Daily.50:13Link is in the description. Back to the50:15episode. If you guys want to be sad and50:19miserable, the one thing you can bank on50:22that'll get you there is trusting in50:24your thoughts. Even after you're saved,50:26the brother is saved, but the issue is,50:29I don't care. I'm going to trust what I50:31think and feel. Do you understand? And I50:34heard from Pastor John that he was like50:36drinking again. You know, he was uh he50:39had kicked alcohol for like 20 something50:40years and he starts to drink again.50:43That's what happens to people. Do you50:45understand what I'm saying? That's how50:47the enemy gets you through isolation.50:50And I know in his heart what he thinks50:52is, yo, if you didn't take my wife from50:54me, I would have this would have never50:55happened. So I freaking hate you, God.50:57Right? He and many of us can probably51:00empathize with that too, but that's just51:02not true. If a person lived until she51:05lived, I think she was 74, that's a51:08pretty fruitful life. What more do you51:11want? Respectfully, you guys got what,51:13two kids, three kids together. You know51:16what I'm saying? Like, what is it? What51:18more is it that you want? That's why God51:20revealed heart posture through this. Do51:23you guys understand what I'm saying?51:25Right. I was talking to um a billionaire51:29uh yesterday. I was mentoring him a51:32little bit and he really really51:34struggled with you know depression,51:37right? Bro has a lot of money, owns a51:40lot of companies and trust funds and but51:43he has a lot of depression and he was51:45just like blowing up my phone like 4751:49mis calls type stuff. So I was like, "Oh51:51shoot, okay, this is really bad." like51:54there's something wrong, right?51:56Definitely. So, I'm like, I got to walk51:58him off the ledge. Something's52:00happening. So, I called him. Um, he's52:04getting sued by his by his two daughters52:06that he started a business with and he52:08wants to unalive him. He wants to kill52:10himself because he feels like his own52:13family is turning against him. He's52:15provided everything for his daughters,52:16but they're they're suing him now. And52:18he has they're adult children, by the52:19way. They have businesses with him. He's52:22kind of like, you know, he runs a lot of52:23these hedge funds and all these other52:25things, right? Anyway, so [snorts] he's52:27like, Johnny, like, why is my life so52:30miserable?52:32When I heard that, I was like, what's52:36miserable about your life? Respectfully,52:40ah, Johnny, please, man, like, please52:42understand where I'm coming from. Like,52:44oh, I understand, but what's miserable?52:47Because your daughters are suing you.52:49What are they taking you to court for?52:50Well, they're taking to me to court for52:5220 million, right? Why don't you just52:55give that 20 million to them? If you52:57give them 20 million and you're worth,53:00you know, you're a billionaire, what's53:02the issue with that? H, but it's the53:06principle. Exactly. So, it's not the $2053:09million that's the issue. It's you're my53:13daughter and you should have done this53:16and you shouldn't do this. And you guys,53:18I gave you life. You don't go against me53:20like that. It's that hard. And he said,53:23"True." I said, "But you know who's53:26really miserable? Your children." What53:30do you mean? No, they're they're great.53:31I've provided for He can't even Do you53:33understand the wavelength that I'm on?53:34He's not even on the wavelength with53:36He's not on the frequency. [snorts] He's53:38not understanding what I'm saying. Even53:40though I say it to his face, he's like,53:42"What do you mean? I provide. I I I53:44didn't say anything about providing."53:46This is what happens when people can't53:48hear what I'm saying. Do you guys53:49understand what I mean? Right. So, I53:52explained to him what what's the issue53:54genuinely? What's the problem? The53:57problem is pride, principle. You say it54:00as principle, but to give your daughters54:0420 million and you set them up for life54:07to to basically transactionalize them.54:11Oh, I didn't transaction. Yes, you did.54:13Did you have a nanny? Yes. Did you give54:16them a tutor? Yes. So, what do they54:18expect when they're messing up? Daddy54:21needs to come save them. If they don't54:23know how to fold their clothes, daddy54:25will provide a nanny for them. If they54:28don't do well in school, daddy will54:30provide somebody who will walk them,54:31handhold them. So, if their business is54:34bad, that's not their fault. That's54:37daddy's fault. And if daddy don't help54:38them, daddy don't love them. That's what54:41you taught them. He started crying,54:43right? Well, then what am I supposed to54:45do? Give them the 20 million and tell54:47them I'm not here to help you guys ever54:49again. If you see me as that, I54:52apologize cuz I didn't raise you guys54:54correctly. But here's your money and if54:57this is all I'm worth to you and this is55:00what you equate to love, please take it55:02all because that's not that's not the55:04love I want. That's all you have to tell55:06him. And he's like, "What the hell,55:09dude?" Like he he didn't understand,55:11right? But he started to he started to55:13get what I was saying, right? Yeah. Give55:15them the money. Settle out of court and55:18go, I'm never going to deal with you55:20guys again. Give them the keys of the55:21company. Let them run it. Let them do55:23whatever they want on that end. That's55:25one of your businesses. You have other55:26multiple. You have like 17 businesses,55:2817 streams of income or whatever it is.55:31Let them have it, right? But at the end55:33of it, what you have to realize is we we55:37can't raise our children. He's like,55:39"They're ungrateful people, man. So55:41freaking ungrateful." I'm like, "The way55:45they are right in front of you is the55:47way we are in front of God." That's what55:49I told him. And he's like, "How so? You55:52just said you're miserable, but you're a55:55billionaire. Do you know how many people55:57would trade places with you right now56:00and give up that 20 million to their56:01daughters so they can take care of their56:03whole families, their kids, his kids,56:05his kids, his kids [snorts] right now?56:08They'll trade that 20 million and56:11they'll they'll live your life. He owns56:13a yacht by the way. All that, you know,56:14he's rich, right? So, so your mind is56:19this is I'm miserable.56:22But are you really miserable? No, it's56:24your mind that's miserable. Understand56:26what I'm saying, right? It's not that56:29you're actually miserable.56:32Your mind is going, "Dude, this is56:33horrible." And you're like, "Yes, amen,56:36Satan. It is horrible. My kids are going56:38against me. This is horrible. It is a56:42principal thing. And I told him exactly56:44the famous thing that pastor told me.56:46You're right and that's why you're56:47miserable. Understand what I'm saying?56:50You're right and that's why you're56:52miserable. I've known women who've been56:54molested by their own family members.56:57Nine times out of 10, it happens from56:58like a cousin or an uncle or even a dad57:00or a stepdad, right? Or even a brother.57:03It's always usually like a family member57:04who does it. It's kind of weird, right?57:06But it is. And so it's like either57:09incest or it's just straight up it just57:11happens, right? Kid down the street,57:13family, friends sometime, whatever. So57:16there are two people that I've I've I've57:18met who were very peculiar. One was57:22always tied everything back to their57:24molestation. I was this and you know and57:28and and and they did this to me. So to57:32the reason why I can't control things57:34and is because of him, you know, the57:36reason why I, you know, am a bad mother57:38is because of him. The reason why I was57:41lustful is because of him. Like57:42everything is always them. And then57:44there's the opposite. There's another57:45person who goes, "Yeah, I really pray57:47for them." You know, I realized that57:49they had some demons in them like that57:51really they they were just obviously57:53there's some there's something obviously57:55wrong with these people. So it's weird.57:58Both people experience the same type of58:00trauma, but the outcome is different.58:03Why? Because it's it you decide where58:06you choose in your heart. Am I going to58:09lean on this or am I going to let it go?58:11That's how people are, right? But then58:14there's also layers to it. There could58:17be layers of I'm going to let this go58:18because I'm a good person and I'm58:20loving, which probably isn't right58:22either. And then there's other layers58:24where it's like, I'm going to hold on to58:26this, but it's like I can't hold on to58:29this. Do you guys understand what I'm58:31saying? Right? So, when you think about58:35this type of heart posture, there's58:38levels to it, but all of it gets solved58:41by one thing. Acknowledgement.58:44Oh, I'm a person who in this broken58:47world met by broken people, things can58:50happen to me. But let me step out of58:53myself and let me think about what God58:55has to say about this. Could God have58:58stopped this? Of course, why didn't he?59:01Well, he has his reasoning. And it's not59:04that God had to stop it or not stop it.59:06But will God use it? Absolutely. And if59:10God uses anything, even if it's as59:12heinous as it is, can it be good? Yes,59:16it can be. And I choose today to trust59:20that more than what I think and feel. So59:24if you guys notice, the unlocks here are59:27always tied to one thing. Stepping out59:30of myself and acknowledging what God59:34says, what God does. It's distrusting59:38yourself.59:39Why distrusting self is so pivotal is59:42because it is the master key to every59:44situation. Right? Like the billionaire59:48example, like the brother sitting there59:50example, if they distrusted themselves,59:54it would be free immediately. They don't59:56even have to wait. Do you guys59:58understand what I'm saying? From your1:00:00guys' problems to your guys' past to1:00:03your guys's present and your guys'1:00:05future. If you distrust yourself, that1:00:09is the master key. Thoughts come, "My1:00:12son's going to be horrible. He's going1:00:13to be a gang member. He's going to1:00:14vape." Nope. I'm not going to trust1:00:16that. Immediately, the problem goes1:00:18away. Do you understand? Oh my gosh, I1:00:21lost my job. I'm not going to have a1:00:22job. I'm I'm going to be poor. I can't1:00:24provide for my family. What's wrong? If1:00:27you distrust that, immediately the1:00:29problem goes away. At least in your1:00:31heart. Do you understand what I'm1:00:33saying? I can't read the Bible. I can't1:00:35study the Bible. I'm a bad Christian.1:00:36No, that's not true. If God is with me,1:00:39he'll give me the unlocks that I need1:00:41immediately. It fixes it. Right. Amen.1:00:45So in this way, we really have to think1:00:49about those heart postures. Is it really1:00:52a problem? No. Right. No. I saw a video1:00:57of of this little kid. He's so cute. He1:00:59was like a Thailand kid or like a Bali1:01:01kid, Indonesian, maybe one of the1:01:04Southeast Asians, right? And he was1:01:07holding on. You guys might have seen1:01:08this. He was hanging on in water for1:01:10dear life on this log. And the people1:01:14were like, "Stand up. Just stand." He's1:01:16like, "No." He's screaming his lungs1:01:20out, "No, no." Like screaming. And then1:01:25what does the lady do? She pull she puts1:01:27his leg down and immediately goes, "Oh,1:01:30snap." He was in shallow water the whole1:01:34time. The whole time. But if you ask1:01:36that kid and what's running through his1:01:39brain, he thought he was going to die.1:01:41You guys know that, right?1:01:44Right? Like that's how strong your mind1:01:48is. It can deceive you so badly. It can1:01:52I'm I I finished this book and it talked1:01:55about neuroplasticity.1:01:57Right. Right. It talks about how your1:02:01mind you can train it depending on how1:02:04you think to make you sick. Did you know1:02:07that your mind can make you physically1:02:10manifest sickness in your body? That is1:02:13crazy. Did you know that? I was like,1:02:16whoa, this is kind of crazy. Now,1:02:18obviously, it's found in Proverbs, but I1:02:21didn't know that people would actually1:02:22write about this and kind of make it1:02:24make sense. [snorts] Understand, right?1:02:28So, when you're reading these types of1:02:30things and you're starting to understand1:02:31like it is true because there's research1:02:34behind it. Now, it's one thing to read1:02:36it in the Bible. It's another thing to1:02:37see the research behind it, right? It's1:02:39really cool actually. So when you plug1:02:43the Bible into it though, it's like a1:02:46boost. It's like a jetpack. What does1:02:48the Bible tell us? You're a new1:02:51creature, right? Understand? You're a1:02:55new creature. Like when you think about1:02:57and you look at Proverbs, right? And you1:03:00look at Proverbs 18:14.1:03:04Let's look at Proverbs 18:14.1:03:07Put it on KJV.1:03:11It says the spirit of a man will sustain1:03:13his infirmity, a person's spirit, but a1:03:16wounded spirit who can bear. So when1:03:18your spirit is broken, everything breaks1:03:21is what essentially what it is. But if a1:03:24person is even though he have he has1:03:26cancer, if his spirit is up, he can1:03:29overcome and sustain his infirmity, his1:03:32sicknesses, right? But the opposite is1:03:35true. Basically, if your spirit is1:03:38broken, right, most people die of cancer1:03:41when they realize they have cancer, it's1:03:43almost like it's accelerated. Why?1:03:45Because all the stress that comes with1:03:46it, all the scenarios they play out,1:03:48right? It's kind of crazy, right? They1:03:52were fine a month ago, right? Right. But1:03:56as soon as it comes to their knowledge,1:03:58it starts to actually manifest out of1:04:00you. Right. It's the same thing like1:04:03when I was stuck in an elevator a lot1:04:05most people would probably have a panic1:04:06attack. I was stuck in there for two1:04:08hours and some change. That's that's a1:04:11long time to be in a small confined1:04:12space by the way. Right. Um if you1:04:17really think about it, it's just a room.1:04:20Do you guys understand what I'm saying?1:04:21If you really dumb it down, it's just a1:04:24room that goes up and down. It's not1:04:26like people will never get to you. It's1:04:29like someone who knows that the elevator1:04:31ain't working is going to get to you1:04:33eventually, right? But like the mind1:04:37starts to play tricks. No one's going to1:04:39come in. You can't get out. Let me out.1:04:42What the hell? Oh my god. It It starts1:04:44doing this. Do you guys understand?1:04:47Right. So, the Bible is really amazing1:04:49in one thing. It's like it already gives1:04:53you all the hacks, but the problem is we1:04:55don't distrust our thoughts. And in1:04:58order to trust the word, we must1:04:59distrust our thoughts. You can't accept1:05:01your thoughts and the word is what God1:05:03is saying. [snorts] Right? So people1:05:07then always ask, "How do I distrust my1:05:09thoughts?" It's very simple. Is the word1:05:11of God true or is your thoughts true?1:05:13That's all you have to answer every1:05:15single time. And you have to remind1:05:18yourself constantly, is the word of God1:05:20true or is it your word, your thoughts,1:05:24your feelings? And if you let your1:05:27feelings be true, guess what's going to1:05:28happen? You will be miserable because1:05:31your thoughts 90% of the time are1:05:32miserable thoughts. Would you agree?1:05:34They hurt you. They lie to you. Right?1:05:38So, you have to learn to at least see1:05:41that, oh, this thought is wrong. I don't1:05:43care how real it feels. It is not true.1:05:47It's just not true. Amen. Right. It1:05:50could be you could find the most all the1:05:52narratives you want to spin to it1:05:54because we're so good at that too. We1:05:56are so good at finding ways to make1:05:59ourselves right. Understand? We we just1:06:02are. We're great at that. And that's the1:06:06problem too is no matter how right you1:06:08are, you're also wrong. That's the1:06:11truth. You're wrong. Right? Wrong where?1:06:14In front of God. Right? So people tend1:06:17to to do that. But the one thing that's1:06:21most difficult for us too is edification1:06:23aspect. When you guys are edified, when1:06:26the message is like, "Wow, this is1:06:28hidden." Then you're really listening.1:06:30But when the message doesn't edify you,1:06:33you become angry. During those times is1:06:36when you have to deny. Denying yourself1:06:39when you're getting praised is easy as1:06:41hell.1:06:43It's when you're going, you're getting1:06:45chastised and someone goes, "You're1:06:46weird." Right. Pastor Kim would say that1:06:50to me all the time. Johnny, you're not1:06:53normal. And I wouldn't like that because1:06:57no one likes to be called weird or not1:06:59normal. You're abnormal. Do you guys1:07:02understand what I'm saying? Like no one1:07:05likes that, right? But if you're able to1:07:09listen and go, hm, okay, why is he1:07:12saying that? Then you're able to hear1:07:15the heart of what kind of guidance is1:07:16going to follow after that. No one likes1:07:19that.1:07:21Right. Right. That's the problem.1:07:24Exactly. No one likes to accept that1:07:26they're not a good person and that their1:07:28thoughts are really bad. But that's such1:07:30a beautiful thing when you realize, oh,1:07:33I'm not a good person aside from Jesus.1:07:36And I'm my thoughts are really bad aside1:07:38from Jesus. And that's why he says, take1:07:39every thought, all thoughts captive and1:07:42bring it to the obedience of Christ.1:07:43He's talking to believers, by the way.1:07:45Non-Christians don't take their thoughts1:07:47captive and bring it to somebody they1:07:49don't believe in. Notice that, right?1:07:52Did you clock that? In 2 Corinthians1:07:5410:5, he says, "Take every thought1:07:57captive and bring it to Jesus." Right?1:07:59Meaning the word. First and foremost,1:08:03we don't believe in the those guys don't1:08:05even believe in the word. He's not1:08:07talking to atheists, right? He's talking1:08:10to believers. So wait, I thought that1:08:12every thought you have now is from God1:08:14and like you shouldn't have to do that.1:08:16Just bring the bad thoughts. Why does he1:08:18take say take every thought? Look at it1:08:20right. Every thought bringing into1:08:23captivity every means all thought to the1:08:26obedience of Christ. Every single one.1:08:29Why? Because the renewal of the mind is1:08:31a daily thing. So why is it good then?1:08:35Why is it good to acknowledge your1:08:38thoughts are bad and to acknowledge1:08:40you're not a good person? Because that1:08:41means every single day and every single1:08:43minute you will be with God. Sheesh.1:08:46That's the unlock. But Satan goes, "This1:08:50is bad. Why? Why is it difficult? This1:08:53is difficult. Why? So that you don't1:08:55have to go to God and you only go to him1:08:58when you feel like you need him." Do you1:09:01guys understand what I'm saying? Right.1:09:03Me too. Before I got famous, I would1:09:06never get attacked like that. Spiritual1:09:09life was pretty easy. It's now that I've1:09:12gotten famous that people start to know1:09:14me and people can see my things that the1:09:16attacks have gotten really bad. Like1:09:19really bad. [snorts] Do you understand?1:09:22But why though? Because Satan hates what1:09:25we're doing. He hates the unlocks that1:09:27you guys are learning. He hates the1:09:30growth that that you guys are having in1:09:31your life. He hates it. He hates that1:09:34you guys can sit there and go, "Huh, I1:09:37see what Johnny's talking about now in1:09:39my dad, in myself, in my brother. Okay,1:09:43I'm not going to fight them anymore. I'm1:09:45going to accept them." He hates that.1:09:47Because before you would fight them and1:09:48judge them, right? You start to see like1:09:52the veil being lifted and it's like,1:09:54"Whoa, this is what he means. Oh, I'm1:09:57just like them, too." You know, Satan1:09:59hates that. He wants you to go, "I'm not1:10:01like them." like you used to be. I'm way1:10:03better than them. I don't do stuff like1:10:04them. I'm not weird like them. I'm not1:10:06off like them. I don't lust like them.1:10:08He wants you to do that. But now you're1:10:10going, hm, I kind of understand what1:10:13Johnny's saying now. Oh, this is what he1:10:15means. This is happening. Wow, this is1:10:18really cool. It's happening in real1:10:19time. Do you guys understand what I'm1:10:21saying? Right. So, in that way, he's1:10:27like, I'm going to chop the head off of1:10:29Johnny. like chop the snake, you know,1:10:31the head off the snake, right? Chop off1:10:32Johnny, just like hurt him, attack him,1:10:35try his best to do whatever he wants.1:10:37So, he attacks me in many ways. He gets1:10:39me sick back to back to back like the1:10:41last two months and I'm good now, thank1:10:43God, right? He will tempt me with pride.1:10:48He will tempt me with old homies. He1:10:50will put me in positions where I can get1:10:52shot, which could have happened a couple1:10:54weeks ago. He puts me in uh spaces where1:10:57these grifters come and try to you know1:11:01buy up a portion of cloth and give us x1:11:03amount of money. He then sends other1:11:05people. He tries so he tries to use1:11:06money, tries to use women, tries to use1:11:08everything, right? That's what it comes1:11:11down to at the end of the day, right?1:11:14But why though? The more I see it, him1:11:17doing it, the more I realize, dude, this1:11:21is a good thing. He wants to attack me1:11:24because we're preaching the gospel. It1:11:26would be kind of scary if he didn't1:11:28attack me. It would be scary if he1:11:30didn't come at me foul. It would it it1:11:33would actually scare me if I didn't1:11:35because because I remember it I was I1:11:37wasn't getting attacked that bad back1:11:38then. Like to be honest I kind of1:11:40reminised a little bit and I'm like yes1:11:42it was bad. Like of course any attack1:11:44from bad but it's like it wasn't at this1:11:46type of level this type of scale. It's1:11:48kind of like wave after wave of just BS.1:11:52You know what I mean right? It's like1:11:55even the thoughts of like the app, like1:11:57you guys love the app, you know, but the1:11:59numbers aren't showing it like that1:12:00respectfully, right? It's it's weird.1:12:03It's like people don't want to shift off1:12:05the old platform or something after1:12:07we've put all of our heart into this.1:12:09And and and again, he's attacking like1:12:11that, too. Trying to break our spirits.1:12:14For the past 8 months, you're working on1:12:15something nine months and it's not even1:12:18doing what it's supposed to be doing,1:12:20right? normally it would be more than1:12:21what it's at now, right? And so it's1:12:25it's not about a monetary thing. It's1:12:28more of just like, you know, Satan gives1:12:31me the thoughts, have I spoiled these1:12:32people too much where everything I give1:12:35them is pretty much free. The app is1:12:36pretty much a free app, right? The only1:12:39thing that you're going to miss is the1:12:40Bible class. That's it, right?1:12:42Everything else is free from taking1:12:44notes to everything, devotionals to1:12:47everything, right? for the battle tester1:12:50people, right? And it's it's like right1:12:55people are like we should business side1:12:57comes in but it's like no we got to keep1:12:59it spiritual in this way. A lot of the1:13:02time Satan will work this way. Why did1:13:05you do that Johnny? You spent all this1:13:07money on this app. People aren't even1:13:10appreciative of it. See they don't care.1:13:13They trip about an extra $13 a month,1:13:16right? Like it's just $13. It's like1:13:19they won't they don't care about it.1:13:21You're stupid, Johnny. Like for real,1:13:23you're dumb. You could have bought your1:13:24your parents a house with this. You1:13:27could You're stupid. You're an idiot.1:13:29People don't even care about you. Until1:13:31when, Johnny, are you going to1:13:32sacrifice? Like, thoughts like this1:13:34come. Do you understand what I'm saying?1:13:36Thoughts like this come all the time,1:13:39right? And they're all li It's all It's1:13:41all a lie. It's a lie from the pit of1:13:44hell, right? But what does Satan do?1:13:48See, look at them. They do CLF with1:13:52without you. They don't even respect1:13:54you. Don't even care about you.1:13:57Everybody, you know, just accessorizes1:13:59you, right? These these hearts come out1:14:02genuinely, right? All they want is shut1:14:05the faith up, teach us a lesson, and1:14:08don't chastise us. If you chastise us,1:14:11we're going to gossip about you.1:14:13Understand what I'm saying? You can't1:14:14You're a leader, so you can't be weak.1:14:17like all these thoughts come out. You1:14:19guys understand what I'm saying?1:14:21Understand? Right? And so in this way,1:14:24what if I trusted that? I wouldn't be1:14:26here, brothers and sisters. So even1:14:29though I tell you guys, right, I have to1:14:30practice that too. I hope you guys1:14:32understand. I hope you guys understand1:14:34where where I'm coming from. And I know1:14:36you guys appreciate it. I'm saying what1:14:38does Satan tell me though? Satan makes a1:14:40very strong case. That's the thing about1:14:43Satan. He's very good at making strong1:14:46cases. He is. He's a a a master arguer,1:14:50right? Debater, right? So, it's like,1:14:54look, here's the evidence presented to1:14:56you, Johnny. How are you going to fight1:14:59that? And what you have to realize is1:15:01you don't fight. You go to God and you1:15:04surrender. Do you understand? You go and1:15:07you surrender. Right? Amen. We are going1:15:11back on the road for Johnny Chang live1:15:13events. [applause]1:15:14Woo! Johnny Chang live events are back.1:15:17All of his neighbors just heard that, by1:15:18the way. And I just wanted to say we're1:15:20going to a lot of different places. I1:15:22won't really announce them all right1:15:23now, but we're going back all across the1:15:24country again. And we are looking for a1:15:26live event coordinator to work at Core1:15:29of the Heart. So, if you saw the past1:15:31live events, it's thousands of people1:15:33coming to churches around the country,1:15:35bringing donations, live Q&As, meet and1:15:37greets. It's amazing opportunities for1:15:40the local communities. Food trucks come1:15:41out. There's fellowship. Um it's just a1:15:44really really awesome event all the1:15:45time. No, we have all the checklist.1:16:16It's a pretty It's a Me and Aaron do it.1:16:18We figured it out. We do it. We want1:16:19someone. And so, if you you can look at1:16:21us and be like, "They did it. And I do1:16:23this for a living. I can do it." Yes.1:16:25It's it's it's1:16:26>> and and I'll just be real really honest.1:16:28We're not really looking for people who1:16:29will come try this. Oh, maybe I can be1:16:31good at that. Or, oh, I could probably1:16:32do that. I really, we want someone who1:16:34has done this before, who can look at1:16:36our events and say, "Oh, I can level1:16:37that up. I can make that better. Oh, why1:16:40would they do that like that?" We1:16:41usually do it like this. That's what1:16:42we're looking for. If you've done live1:16:44events, please call us. We pay super1:16:45competitively. Leave your job. if you1:16:48wanted to do something spiritual and1:16:49throw live Christian live events around1:16:51the country. So1:16:52>> the the other thing too is you just got1:16:55to love people because you know with1:16:56these events when you're dealing with1:16:57all kinds of people from different1:16:59churches and prisons and walks of life1:17:02it just just requires you to be love1:17:04people. So1:17:05>> yeah s servant mindset guys uh pastors1:17:08we all are servants at the end of the1:17:10day. So, we just have to serve people1:17:13and if you have that heart to serve1:17:14people and make sure they have a good uh1:17:17you know, if our our podcast or the way1:17:20I serve has touched your guys' heart to1:17:22then replicate that for the millions and1:17:24hundreds of thousands of other people to1:17:26also experience that, that's that's1:17:28important. If you would like to apply,1:17:30the link is in the description. You1:17:32click on it and follow every single1:17:34instruction. If you don't, we'll know1:17:36that you don't have attention to detail1:17:37and we just skip right over you. M it's1:17:40>> very you be like what does that mean?1:17:41You know you'll just see it's very very1:17:43clear.1:17:44>> So true.1:17:44>> Yeah. And and by the way we have been1:17:46hiring amazing people from the1:17:47community.1:17:48>> Yeah.1:17:48>> We're finding good amazing editors. So1:17:51thank you to everybody that is also1:17:53taking the time to apply and start to be1:17:56a part of this.1:17:56>> And again if it's if you know someone1:17:58like this who you know does event it1:18:00doesn't have to be you right like spread1:18:02the word for us too. That also helps1:18:04too. So yes.1:18:05>> Yes.1:18:06>> All right guys. Hey, and and and the1:18:08last thing is the sooner we get that1:18:09person, the more live events.1:18:10>> Yeah, true. You'd help us tremendously.1:18:14People have been telling me, you know,1:18:16things too about, you know, uh, you1:18:20know, the team sees my uh um they see my1:18:23my DMs and they see, you know, the type1:18:26of lust that goes on there and, you1:18:28know, they inform me, right? Hey, you1:18:30know, cuz they there's like like five1:18:33people that have access to my to my uh1:18:36Instagram. They post for me, whatever,1:18:38right? And they're like, you know, just1:18:41so you know, this sister, this person,1:18:43this person saying that, you know,1:18:45you're made for them and you're you're1:18:47their husband and like just letting you1:18:48know, Johnny, like be cautious, you1:18:50know, because I I won't know, you know,1:18:52I treat everybody nicely. So when people1:18:54come up to me and then they start doing1:18:56those things, it can get kind of like1:18:58crazy and hectic, right? They're they're1:19:00just looking out for me, right? And so1:19:04when I thought about this, I'm like,1:19:07Lord, you really are holding on to me.1:19:10Like from the waves of Satan attacking1:19:13me to people accessorizing me to people1:19:16gossiping about me to other people you1:19:19know going against me to you know do1:19:23these to all these things like nobody1:19:26even cares like the weight that I'm1:19:28under I realized like if you're not1:19:31holding on to me I could see how suicide1:19:33is like an option you know like1:19:36genuinely genuinely right because it's1:19:38like so it's too much, right? Understand1:19:43what I'm saying, right? Sometimes it1:19:46takes just like one straw to break a1:19:48camel's back. You guys know this, right?1:19:50But there there are when I think about1:19:52it, none of that pops up for me, which1:19:54I'm very thankful. That's how I know God1:19:56is holding on to me, right? It's like,1:19:58dude, you're you are really amazing,1:20:00God. Like, you you you're holding me1:20:03here. And then I thought about you guys.1:20:06That's that's what God is doing for1:20:08y'all, too, which is really again very1:20:10beautiful. He's doing that for you guys,1:20:12too. He's holding on to you guys. He's1:20:15loving you guys. How beautiful. You1:20:18know, like you think you're going1:20:20through a lot, and you are. It's all1:20:22relative.1:20:24But do you realize, imagine going1:20:26through what you're going through1:20:27without him holding on to you? I think1:20:29that's misery, right? Like that would be1:20:32scary. that that that's something that I1:20:34real like, oh, I'm going through this1:20:37because I can handle it, not cuz I can1:20:40handle it. Because you're handling me1:20:42through it. That means to me that1:20:45there's a level up. And it really gave1:20:47me happiness and hope.1:20:50It's so cool. Do you know why you're1:20:52going through the things that you're1:20:53going through? Because God is holding on1:20:55to you and he's parading you and he's1:20:58showing, hey, look, you can handle this1:21:01now. remember you couldn't handle this 21:21:02years ago. You couldn't handle this 101:21:04years ago. You couldn't handle this 151:21:06years ago, 5 years ago, 3 years ago. I1:21:09got you and I'm going to continue to1:21:11have you. You know, that's where I lay1:21:14my hope at. That's where I store my1:21:16hope. Not in people changing, not in1:21:19people being weird and saying, "Yeah,1:21:21you know, God made you for me and you1:21:24know, I know and I I will be there for1:21:26like that's like to me respectfully is1:21:28is the most disrespectful thing you can1:21:31do for me." Understand, right? Like I'm1:21:35sorry. And the second thing to do is to1:21:37gossip behind my back. The very person1:21:40who gave you the gospel respectfully1:21:44understand right is also in my own1:21:47opinion at least very disrespectful. We1:21:50all have flaws brothers and sisters.1:21:53Imagine I nitpicked every one of your1:21:54guys' flaws and put it on Front Street.1:21:58You would not love me. You would kill1:21:59me. I guarantee you. I'm very good at1:22:02that. None of us here have no dirt. None1:22:05of us are spotless. respectfully1:22:07understand what I'm saying, right? None1:22:10of us are. I don't care what you say.1:22:13It's just the truth. However, inside of1:22:16God, what do I say? Lord, thank you.1:22:21Because sheesh, I could never handle1:22:23this before. But how am I able to just1:22:26give these people and pray for them and1:22:29really go on my knees and go, "Father1:22:31God, please help them." Right? Anything1:22:35that I've done where I've messed up, I1:22:38you know my heart, Lord, I've tried with1:22:40good intention, but good intention is1:22:42not God intention. Wherever there was a1:22:45misunderstanding when I chastised them1:22:47to me, you know, leading them and then1:22:50misleading them, Lord, like you there's1:22:54not an excuse, you know, and if I am to1:22:57be corrected, correct me. I accept that.1:23:00I acknowledge that, right? And in this1:23:03way I prayed many many like years like1:23:06this right and so I was very very how do1:23:12I say appreciative of God right he don't1:23:15need to he don't need to save me he1:23:18don't need to give me life a person like1:23:22me and yet he still walks with us now he1:23:26does this with all of us guys doesn't1:23:30have to give us anything he doesn't owe1:23:32us a single thing. Just so you guys1:23:35know, yesterday something tragic1:23:37happened, right? At least to me, I came1:23:40home and I heard Crimie, criminal, my my1:23:42my reptile upstairs and he was like1:23:46scratching a lot and I was like, "What1:23:48the hell? This guy's really active. I1:23:50don't know." I fed him. Why is he1:23:52tripping? When I went upstairs, his his1:23:56tank looked like a murder scene. There1:23:58was blood everywhere. And I was like,1:24:01"What the hell?" And I look and I see1:24:04him stress the f out, whipping his tail1:24:07at the wall, what? And I look closely1:24:09and a piece of his tongue is outside of1:24:12his mouth, but it's hanging on by like a1:24:14little thread of like meat. His I don't1:24:18even know how that happened. It broke1:24:20me. I was like, "What?" Right. He's a1:24:24huge monitor, by the way. He's three1:24:25years old. I mean, he's three he's three1:24:27feet long. He's huge, right? He's almost1:24:304T, right? And I realized he had1:24:34somehow, you know, monitors like to kind1:24:37of scratch their face. And I think he1:24:40dug his own claw into his tongue and1:24:42like ripped it out of his mouth1:24:44basically. It looked like it. And so1:24:46when he came towards me, he was like1:24:47whipping his tail. He's trying to bite1:24:49me cuz he just he was hurting. And so I1:24:52was like, "Oh my gosh, medical1:24:54emergency, right?" I literally like1:24:55trying to find an exotic vet. There's1:24:57nothing in the area. It's literally1:25:0111 a.m. 11:00 p.m. at night. And so I'm1:25:05looking at him and I'm like, "Dang." And1:25:06then his tongue that happened somehow1:25:10like I think during the early morning1:25:11because I had left, right? I I did my1:25:14Bible class and I left, came back late.1:25:16So I think it was all dried out. Like it1:25:20means it was out there for like a while.1:25:22And so I felt bad. But what did I do?1:25:27What came to my heart? Do you guys know1:25:29he's alive? What came to my heart?1:25:31Father God, I can't even look over my1:25:34own lizard. You know, I have no control,1:25:38right? Not even over criminal, right? If1:25:41you don't watch him when I'm gone, even1:25:44this happens. And so, Lord, you know, I1:25:47I genuinely1:25:49don't know what to do, right? But what's1:25:52so beautiful is as I'm thinking this and1:25:55I'm praying to God, I sit down. criminal1:25:57is very affectionate. He'll come to the1:25:59He'll come to the uh he like recognizes1:26:01me. So, he turns and looks at me and he1:26:04comes to the window and he starts1:26:06scratching the window and I'm like,1:26:07"What the hell?" Right? Like he wants to1:26:10come out and I'm like, "All right." So,1:26:13I open the thing and he he kind of1:26:16lunges at my hand, right, with his mouth1:26:18open. And I could see clearly like it's1:26:22it's already kind of dried off and it's1:26:25like that thing is just going to stay1:26:26infected. So I decided like I'm just1:26:29going to amputate that part, right? It1:26:31was like a thin thread of meat, right? I1:26:33was like let me just sanitize these1:26:35things and like I'm going to just do it,1:26:37you know, cuz it was hurting him. He1:26:38couldn't close his mouth and I think1:26:40that's like what what he was strug1:26:42struggling with.1:26:44And then when I pulled the thing, like1:26:46he opened his mouth more to like almost1:26:48let me do it. And so I snipped and it1:26:51was gone and he was good. And he started1:26:53adjusting his mouth and immediately it1:26:56was like his whole mood changed, right?1:26:59He was happy. He was trying to climb on1:27:02me. He I was like, "Whoa." And what he1:27:05does is like I see his tongue, right?1:27:08It's it's it's about a third of his1:27:09tongue was gone, but he still had, you1:27:12know, his tongue tongue, right? So, I1:27:13was very thankful about that. So, he1:27:15could still smell and and all that. He's1:27:17like using his tongue to like flick it1:27:18and to like smell. And I'm like, he he1:27:21only does that when he's hungry. So, I'm1:27:24like, no way that bro1:27:27is not like father like son, right?1:27:29Like, I don't care how sick I am. I want1:27:32to eat no matter what. I don't if I'm1:27:34depressed, I'm going to eat. If I'm sad,1:27:36I'm like, I'm a big bag. I don't care.1:27:37So I'm like, no way, bro. Is literally1:27:40has had his freaking tongue taken off1:27:42and he's like, "Give me food." I'm like,1:27:45"Nah." So I was like, "Nah, there's no1:27:47way." And I like look at his tongue1:27:49again and it's like looks like it's kind1:27:51of like closed up almost, right? And I'm1:27:53like, "Man, all right, let me see what1:27:55it is." So I go and I get the quail eggs1:27:58and I'm like, "Let me see." Bro ate like1:28:01it was nothing. Like nothing happened.1:28:04He was He ate a whole carton, which is1:28:0616 quail eggs. He ate it all. I was1:28:09like, "Bro, you're fat, dog." Like, how1:28:12is it that you you have your tongue1:28:14taken off and you're like, "So, uh,1:28:17what's for breakfast?" It's like, "What1:28:19the hell are you talking about right1:28:20now?" And but that right there was like1:28:24God putting my heart at ease. Like,1:28:26Johnny, it's okay. in my life too. Even1:28:31through this lesson, I was able to see,1:28:33wow, like criminal goes through a lot.1:28:36Crim, he goes through a lot, right? He1:28:38went through a lot, a traumatic thing,1:28:40but even he just accepts the situation1:28:45and he can enjoy life. So, I cleaned his1:28:48cage and I, you know, and and it was1:28:50beautiful and he was just chilling. And1:28:53I checked in on him this morning. He was1:28:55good. And I'm like, even animals1:28:58that have things like messed up, they're1:29:02still like, "Okay, God, I acknowledge1:29:04what it is." And that's why I know1:29:06animals go to heaven, right? They1:29:07acknowledge everything. You break the1:29:10dog's leg, he'll still love you. You1:29:12like, it's like, it's so different,1:29:13right? But me as a human, I realize1:29:16something about myself. I'm not even on1:29:17the level of criminal. I'm not even on1:29:19the level of crim. My heart is is like1:29:23you do something and and I'm I'm hurting1:29:25all the time. If God took a third of my1:29:27tongue, I wouldn't be like, "Let me1:29:29eat." I would be like, "F you. Why?"1:29:32Like, I would be sad. When I thought1:29:34about it, oh God, you're also showing me1:29:37like what it is to sit there and1:29:41acknowledge certain things that even if1:29:42tragedies happen, it's okay, you know?1:29:46And it made me have a new found respect1:29:49for criminal. Like genuinely, I was1:29:51like, "Whoa, this guy is he's a beast,1:29:53bro. Like he he he doesn't care. You put1:29:58him in a box, he'll live there. You get1:30:00you feed he waits for me to feed him,1:30:02I'll feed him. He waits for me to give1:30:03him a shower and a bath, I'll give him1:30:05like he's always waiting." And that's1:30:08the way I realize I have to be with God.1:30:10Do you guys understand what I'm saying?1:30:13Like had that not have happened, I1:30:15wouldn't even thought of that. Do Do you1:30:18guys understand what I'm saying here?1:30:19So, yes, it hurt my heart a little. You1:30:22know, I I'm not like super1:30:23compassionate, but I didn't know that1:30:27that like it made me feel really sad. I1:30:29teared up because I was like, "Dude,1:30:30what the hell? He didn't even do1:30:31anything wrong. Like, why does why does1:30:33he have this? And how long has he been1:30:34sitting here like this like in pain?1:30:36That sucks, you know? Like, he didn't do1:30:38anything wrong." And so, it was this1:30:41type of heart. But I I realized, oh,1:30:43that needed to happen because it makes1:30:46me even those little things reflect on1:30:49you could be you should be like him,1:30:51Johnny. If God takes your leg, it's his1:30:54leg anyways. If God takes your life,1:30:56it's his life anyways. If God takes1:30:58anything from you, it's his anyways.1:31:01Respectfully,1:31:03he just let you borrow it. Why would you1:31:05be mad? You know, it's it's it's so1:31:08different, right, guys? When you think1:31:12about it in that way, I don't know. The1:31:15way that I I guess see things is a1:31:17little bit different. Okay. All right,1:31:20guys. I got to go. Um, church has1:31:24started on that end, so I got to start1:31:25making my way over there. Okay. I1:31:27appreciate you guys. Thank you. Take1:31:29care. Bye, everybody. Bye.
